Since the fall of Malmo, it is no surprise that we can no longer agree on what "done" means.
Having spent a good portion of the last year hiding in the kitchen at Brasserie Angelica, I now understand that the error is treating "done" as binary. It is more useful to view it as internal temperature.
1) Frozen: No contact has been made with the club/player, it's merely a name trapped in stasis by a man who watched an 8 minute YouTube clip.
2) Fridge-cold: Club aware of the player, scout reports exist, but no meaningful heat has been/should be applied.
3) Tempering: Player sounded out and is receptive. The meat is no longer inert, but no pan has been authorised.
4) Blue: First contact with the club initiated; surface level.
5) Rare: Talks active. Price range understood. Presents a potential hazard if consumed by the public.
6) Medium Rare: Done properly. Player aligned and sensible fee agreed. Add-ons are pink, not bleeding. Selling club's dignity preserved.
7) Medium: Done, but less elegantly so. More exposed but broadly acceptable. No one embarrassed themself.
8) Medium Well: Done but overworked. Too many media briefings, stretched fee and the flavour is leaving. The medical is penciled at least.
9) Well Done: Done, but barely. Overpaid and overhandled, announced late. The player holding the scarf will have the eyes of a man basted in admin for weeks.
10) Cremated: Heat without control. Selling party offended, player camp confused. Club sources later insist they were never interested.
This should allow our ITKs to resume disagreement within safe food-handling parameters.

Absolutely love it, Fornax.
13 Aug 2026 11:37:57
It's certainly an easier read than your Ikea analogies.
13 Aug 2026 11:41:19
Different level that Fornax and a message to all posters - keep it simple!
13 Aug 2026 11:47:06
Been reading on this site for years and years and had to create account just to reply to this haha good work man I love it.
13 Aug 2026 11:50:21
Top stuff, Fornax.
13 Aug 2026 11:51:49
That's a half baked analysis.
13 Aug 2026 12:17:13
I'm not too sure about this. Can you add a bit more meat to the bone, please, Fornax?
13 Aug 2026 12:20:05
I would stake my claim that this is an accurate summary of the various stages.
Well done, Fornax!
13 Aug 2026 12:28:59
Nice to see you steak-ing your claim to the transfer explanation font of all knowledge. :)
13 Aug 2026 12:36:02
So does that mean that the Barcola deal needs another 30 minutes in the oven before it is announced?
Love it, Fornax, haha.
13 Aug 2026 12:52:19
I'm led to believe by Chef Jean-Bjorn that the Barcola deal is currently resting, lightly covered with foil, but expected to land somewhere between medium-well and well-done.
Chef is reluctant to probe further at this stage for fear of losing what little juice is left.
13 Aug 2026 12:55:32
It's worrying that I now understand all of Fornax's posts.
There was a time I didn't know what the hell he was on about.
But now not only do I understand him, but I agree with him.
13 Aug 2026 13:44:05
Who's Malmo?
Where did he fall?
Can he play right-back?
13 Aug 2026 14:19:57
Brilliant. At this rate, our transfer window needs Gordon Ramsay, a thermometer and a fire extinguisher. "It's raw!" has never been more appropriate. 😂
13 Aug 2026 14:24:32
Tar tar, I mean, ta ta Fornax.
13 Aug 2026 14:35:54
Excellent Fornax, bravo. I, myself, had aspirations of becoming an ITK, waiting to announce an en vogue hiatus of the site, all whilst lurking and watching the madness unfold. Indeed, one contact at the club promised me juicy nuggets of info, but strangely, only if I could rise to the challenge and reach some beef that was precariously perched upon the top shelf of his kitchen.
Alas, the steaks were too high, and so I had to reluctantly settle for mere IDK status.
{Ed025's Note - love it DS..
13 Aug 2026 14:30:24
I was completely out-flank-ed by that post and had to ask one of my Mignons to explain it to me. At least you're not Chuck-ing your weight around.
13 Aug 2026 16:33:33
Does that mean that itk stands for internal temperature knowledge?
13 Aug 2026 09:06:25
Hi all,
Guéla Doué is keen to join us now or in winter. RCSA would like to get closer to 50 million euros. I have posted it as there are several clubs (Bundesliga and Serie A) interested in bringing in Frimpong and Ramsey on loan.
13 Aug 2026 09:31:58
I hope all of that happens.
13 Aug 2026 09:37:48
Ship Frimpong ff ASAP, I reckon.
13 Aug 2026 09:41:29
Ramsay - yes.
Frimpong - no.
Frimpong is HG and can cover a few positions. I can see AI using him this season, even if only to either find the best position he can play within our team set up, or that he isn't suitable in which case he could go in Jan or next summer.
13 Aug 2026 09:51:38
I can't see us buying another defender now.
Seems we bought Araujo to cover RB and CB, and with him on loan, looks like we're saving money to spend on other areas like attack.
13 Aug 2026 09:52:10
With you there, Zed, unsure why everyone seems to have such a big issue with Frimpong. We all loved Trent despite the fact he couldn't defend, he just had that wand of a left foot.
Frimpong has the pace and age on his side, just needs someone to coach him and help him, which Iraola will hopefully be able to do. Also, let's not act like a lot of players struggle in their first season of a new big team and country.
As well as you have said, he counts as HG which we need. No point replacing a player that is HG when we have so few with another foreign player unless it is a major, major upgrade, which I don't think overall Doue is, unless it's PSG's Doue.
13 Aug 2026 10:01:03
As previously stated, Frimpong is a wing-back. He can't defend, which doesn't help when you're at right back, and he's Championship level, at best, when he plays on the wing. I appreciate we need him now, but I'd be looking to move him on at the earliest opportunity. Why we ever bought him, I'll never understand.
13 Aug 2026 10:20:29
Championship level? Come on, Rome, that's a bit much.
I have no problem with Frimpong, I think he just needs a run without injuries and I think he'll be fine.
I do agree he's not the best defensively, pretty much due to his size, but let's be honest, he was playing next to Konate last season who was all over the place.
The back 4 were too deep and couldn't seem to stay in a straight line. It left everyone exposed.
If we play higher, and managed to hold a straight line, we will need his pace on the cover.
13 Aug 2026 10:27:53
I'm with Zed and Chicken. Frimpong is homegrown and offers cover in multiple positions. He might not be the greatest, but I really don't get the hate.
It would make no sense whatsoever to move Frimpong on and waste a non-hg spot on Doue - especially as we have just signed Araujo as additional RB/CB cover.
13 Aug 2026 10:36:47
Lurked a while, joined to defend Frimpong. Not every player in a squad can be world class. The lad has a good attitude, spreads good vibes, and when on it he has shown he can be a useful player. Under a new boss who likes an attacking fullback, hopefully a run without injury, and I think he'll do quite well.
13 Aug 2026 10:40:00
Zed, Frimpong can cover 2 positions, extremely poorly. If bringing in a RB means we have to move Frimpong on, I'm all for it. If he proves himself this season, fair enough, but so far he's shown nothing to rp.
Chicken, despite Trent's poor defending, he wasn't completely useless. The trade-off was that he was phenomenal with the ball at his feet. Frimpong's useless at both.
At no point last season did he show he was up to the level.
There's no homegrown issue in my eyes. Chiesa and Endo could be replaced at the drop of a hat if necessary. Use Koumas and Nyoni if you have to, we'd probably be better for it. Both looked sharp in pre-season, especially Nyoni. Macca and Gakpo may be moved on also. If Wharton rumours are true, then that's another HG.
13 Aug 2026 10:42:32
I agree fully, Rome, and Championship level is even pushing it, imo. Terrible football player.
13 Aug 2026 10:42:38
I think Doue (RB) is a very average footballer and we should stay far away.
13 Aug 2026 10:50:56
Chewy and Rome (and others), I honestly think that AI can get a tune out of Frimpong.
Even if I'm wrong, I'm certain AI will at least give him a chance to see what he can coach him into, so I certainly don't see him leaving this window.
There are snatches that I have seen in the games last year that indicate a player there, I just don't know whether we have a position that suits him in our current set up, but we also can't be sure what formations AI will use in the coming weeks and months.
{Ed025's Note - i think the bench suits him perfectly Zed..
13 Aug 2026 11:01:42
I just don't see anything positive about Frimpong Zed either going forward or defending. I believe he's a liability and will be exploited by our opposition each and every time.
He was not a good purchase by the club. I'll be the first to admit I was wrong if the man proves otherwise, but based on what I have seen of him, I doubt that will occur.
13 Aug 2026 11:19:41
Iraola was an international full back himself, so if anyone can get a tune out of Frimpers, it's him.
13 Aug 2026 11:33:42
I agree that I haven't seen a consistently good full game from him, SG, but I'm not 100% prepared to write him off just yet. Give AI some time with him, accepting Beefy's good point that AI was an international RB/RWB himself, so he knows what he needs to see from Frimpong, and let's see where we end up.
I really cannot see us moving on a HG player who has had minutes in the EPL last season, to bring in someone else this window.
The HG players I can see moving are Jones (as he seems to be checked out) and Elliot for gametime elsewhere - the guy needs to get his career back on track.
13 Aug 2026 11:41:55
I get Frimpong is HG, but he is made out of tissue paper, defo not a defender for the PL.
13 Aug 2026 11:44:27
I don't think the issue is that Frimpong cannot defend. The issue is he is tiny and easily bullied, whether he's defending as a RB or attacking as a RW/RWB. He's not a great passer either, so it's not as if he can progress the ball from the back either. Therefore, other than his vibes, and is Wirtz's bezzie, I am not sure what he offers.
13 Aug 2026 11:50:44
If Frimpong is Championship level... I hate to think where Jones should be playing haha. I'll give Frimpong this season, anyone working/ signed under Slot's rein gets another fresh start.
13 Aug 2026 11:59:40
Frimpong was a wing back in the Bundesliga. Now he is playing as a right back and failing. He is nothing like Trent and has nowhere near his talent, who had a wand of a right foot and could put our team on the offensive with one pass.
I'm pretty certain our manager isn't gonna change the system to suit Frimpong, so he'll need to improve drastically as a right back or go. Personally, I think we are flogging a dead horse.
13 Aug 2026 12:04:12
Didn't Frimpong say he hadn't had as many injuries as last season?
Maybe Slot's training affected him, and playing next to Konate didn't help. Keep him this season as cover.
13 Aug 2026 12:08:56
Keeping somebody on the books because they are home-grown is a waste of a squad spot. Players should be kept because they are good footballers and add something to the squad.
13 Aug 2026 12:21:07
Or that the manager sees something coachable in them, WDW?
13 Aug 2026 12:57:57
I'm with Chewy and the rest on Frimpong. Lots of pace, clearly a lovely guy, but not good enough as either a PL RB or RW. Maybe AI can improve him, but given the game time he’s had already I suspect the head coach’s mind is already made up.
As for Ramsay, it’s a shame, you feel with more luck and maybe more care, he could have been a contender, but then again, maybe he simply isn’t good enough. And Trent was a better defender than many of the naysayers made out. A bit unorthodox perhaps but not the clown some portrayed him as.
As for Endo and the others, I’m sure AI is looking for a better balance in the squad than we have now but with so many leaders exiting the squad in the last couple of seasons, that’s at least as important as the HG issue, if not more so.
I think Araujo fits the profile of players that AI wants more than someone like Konsa, for example. He may be HG, but he’s never struck me as a leader/organiser. And we are a bit short in that front already.
13 Aug 2026 13:20:06
To be clear, we're talking about the same Frimpong that was so good for Leverkusen?
I understand there is a difference between the league's style-wise, but you could say the same for Wirtz, who also struggled physically.
JF didn't fit Slot's system; fair enough, but I think AI could enjoy him; if he improves his tackling, he'd be a superb presser.
Also, £50M for Doue... Same people who are scathing us for the £45M option on a much more established Araujo.
We don't need Doue... but money keeps mysteriously appearing... and positions we don't need it in.
13 Aug 2026 13:31:20
Can't believe Frimpong is getting criticism.
He was injured, played in numerous positions, and more importantly, Slot was the manager.
And no player stood out last year for LFC.
So all players should get criticism, not just Frimpong.
13 Aug 2026 14:30:33
Frimpong was badly affected by the defensive setup under Slot, as there was a lack of cover and he ended up being repeatedly exposed when going forward (nullifying his natural strength).
If he's going to succeed under AI, he needs to be used as an overlapping winger in attack and have a defensive system that is set up to cover for him when he pushes forward.
Probably the same for Kerkez as well, to be fair, which is why it's a bit surprising we went for both without an out and out CDM in place. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm trusting AI to figure this out and get the best out of him.
13 Aug 2026 16:40:27
Did anyone else read that as the RSPCA? 😅
13 Aug 2026 16:57:27
Agree with Zed, Chicken and the rest. Frimpong's a good squad player with potential.
13 Aug 2026 18:56:50
Don't judge him on last season. If you do, then the whole squad needs going except Szob. Injuries? Ok, we'll get rid of Ali as well then. He might be rubbish, he might turn it round, but he deserves a chance to put it right.
13 Aug 2026 19:41:22
I think Frimpong has earned a little bit more respect than some of the posts here. He earned spots in the Bundesliga Team of the Season in 2022-23 and 2023-24. He has shown that he is a quality player, if used right in a team. Let's see if Iraola can find Jeremy's way.
13 Aug 2026 08:42:12
One of my best mates lives in Tokyo and works as a sports therapist.
Says that the buzz around the Tokyo sports massage crew - which is apparently worse for gossip than a sewing circle - is that Endo is leaving Liverpool and they are making serious enquiries about Takefusa Kubo?
Don't know the player myself, heard any rumours or if Liverpool would have an interest but maybe it's something commercial if its being telegraphed this much overseas?
13 Aug 2026 09:12:50
The Endo news seems to be supported from other sources over the last few days, but I think the Kubo news is a bit out of date.
I think you 'knead' to go back to your sources and suggest their news is shiatsu.
13 Aug 2026 09:31:03
Matcha do about nothing.
13 Aug 2026 10:42:37
Asian massage, you say, there could be a happy ending to this rumour.
13 Aug 2026 11:46:45
Kubo would be fun as a bonus signing, a bit like Mitoma would be. The problem is, we have too much important first team work to do first.
13 Aug 2026 11:51:57
Kubo gone off the boil a bit last season, but he's a good player and worth a shout at the right price.
13 Aug 2026 13:17:19
Kubo is not moving to Liverpool, and nor are we making enquiries about him.
13 Aug 2026 15:52:18
Endo out and a new starting DM in would be amazing. A new DM brings out the best of either Mac or Szobo beside him.
13 Aug 2026 22:55:24
Hope we string PSG along with interest in Barcola. Keep accumulating players and on the last day a cheeky £50mil or leave it.
13 Aug 2026 07:34:53
Morning Gents,
Talks are continuing with Inter for Jones, as revealed yesterday, Crystal Palace made a late enquiry for Jones, but his preference is Inter. Palace are willing to offer higher wages, and if he's open to joining them it would give us better chance of negotiating a deal for Wharton.
Carra mentioned about Gavi, but my source told me about Pedri. Same contact told me about Wirtz last summer, but we'll see.
Again, this is not an easy deal. Very early stages and a complicated deal overall with Mac involved.
Barcola and Mbaye almost done. Minor details to sort out, but I don't see any hiccups with both deals.
A couple of PL clubs enquired about Endo. Udinese leading the race for Chiesa, but sadly no takers for Elliot so far.
Signing out,
Iraola's Areola
13 Aug 2026 08:27:56
Fulham have signed Shea Charles, so does that end their interest in Endo? I read West Ham want him. Frattesi has to be sold first before Jones moves, and I still reckon it's Inter, always has been.
Hasn't Pedri got a 1bn release clause? A low offer or a loan, I'd be moving on Chiesa. We need the non homegrown spot. I am still of the belief Barcola gets announced early next week.
13 Aug 2026 10:02:53
Any proof of your knowledge around any of these claims or just a "trust me bro"
13 Aug 2026 10:13:35
Just imagine, rumours on a rumours site. What's the world coming to?
13 Aug 2026 10:40:10
Personally, I just don't see Barcelona parting ways with Pedri. Team pretty much revolves around him.
Gavi doesn't seem to be what we need.
But let's see how it all pans out. Cheers for the rumours.
13 Aug 2026 11:44:47
Bang on WDW, mate!! 🤣🤣
13 Aug 2026 11:07:05
Bunch of moaners. Its a rumours site. Get over yourselves. you're driving people away by your negativity. Its football, things happen, things don't, stop making about you SN0611 and KLOPPOFTHENORTHEAST.
Get a grip lads. Take it for what it is. Information whether true or not. You're hopefully not betting your life or house on any of this info, because if you are, I have some magic beans to sell yous.
13 Aug 2026 11:58:30
I know right WDW imagine anyone coming to Liverpool rumours to read or post a rumour.
Shocking OP you must be in the wrong place.
In other news Eds when does Liverpool Facts launch for a selection of users in the wrong space currently?
{Ed025's Note - when Nelson gets his eye back BK.. :)
13 Aug 2026 14:30:02
Love it Ed25 hope your well buddy and ready for the new season!
I fear Moyes is shopping in the bargain bin at the moment you need someone in at RB and probably a forward who can finish.
{Ed025's Note - hi BK, yeah mate those positions need addressing mate and have been for a few years now, i think Moyes likes a static full back who wont advance forward which is a blinkered view imo, hes so pragmatic and safe that he sees a draw as good result which is not the will of the fan base, hopefully Scotland will come a calling and take him off our hands sooner rather than later..
12 Aug 2026 23:31:12
Hello all,
PSG are no fools.
Barcola will join.
We want Gavi if Macca leaves.
Ta.
13 Aug 2026 00:30:05
Thanks Carra.
13 Aug 2026 00:30:07
The 🐐 Carra. What about Mbaye?
13 Aug 2026 00:30:25
Major injury concerns with him though, Carra.
13 Aug 2026 00:35:12
Gavi is injury prone and lightweight.
13 Aug 2026 00:44:45
Carra, the boss man! Hope it's the real Carra, thought he had personal issues. :)
13 Aug 2026 00:48:01
Any chance you could elaborate on PSG being no fools, Carra, I'm intrigued? Are they driving a hard bargain? They are very obviously a well run club.
13 Aug 2026 00:51:24
Nice one, Carra, hope you're keeping well, pal.
13 Aug 2026 01:13:20
Now Gavi makes sense from Barca perspective. Pedri is too vital of a cogwheel in how Barca plays, so it was a left field rumour, truth be told.
And Gavi is considered surplus to Flick's squad, and would be considered Wirtz's competition for number 10.
Though Fermin Lopez would be a more creative and efficient 10 compared to Gavi.
Nevertheless, thanks, Carra, appreciate your rumour input as always. Cheers!
13 Aug 2026 01:16:13
Thank you, Cara.
Seeing you again makes me so happy to see you!
Even if it's not information, I'd appreciate it if you could stop by often~.
13 Aug 2026 01:35:02
As expected, cheers Carra.
13 Aug 2026 01:44:15
Once upon a time I'd be getting massively excited at the mere prospect of getting Gavi, but maybe not today. We've been linked with him before, but he barely managed more than 10 La Liga games on 2 out of the last 3 seasons, and with Iraola's intense style, we need reliability.
Wharton still the dream for me, but I'm fully behind Iraola, and just hope he's backed with whoever he wants.
13 Aug 2026 01:56:27
A resounding thank-you, Carra.
13 Aug 2026 02:54:08
Brilliant, Carra, thank you as always. 😁
13 Aug 2026 03:20:32
Welcome back Macca. I think this is the first time we've both posted the same info (re Gavi).
I'll recap for those who missed when I posted it before - Gavi would prefer to stay at Barca but not if his game time is gonna be limited by Rodri signing.
He's been taking English lessons for a year, loves the Premier League, and Anfield is his favourite ground to visit.
13 Aug 2026 05:43:02
Cheers, Carra...
13 Aug 2026 05:58:58
@Nevada, Carra and Macca are 2 different posters.
Thanks, Carra.
13 Aug 2026 06:14:01
@sigglebean, Yep, that's my bad. Typed the wrong five letter moniker lol.
13 Aug 2026 06:14:36
Good to see you back, Carra.
13 Aug 2026 06:46:21
Welcome back, Carra. It's good to see you posting again and hope all is well.
13 Aug 2026 07:15:33
Good to see you back, cheers Carra, appreciated as always.
13 Aug 2026 07:23:40
First off, great to read you again, Carra, hope life is good?
Secondly, as always, thanks for the intel!
13 Aug 2026 07:46:14
Cheers Carra. Keep up the good work.
Psst, can't wait to see Barcola bombing down the wings. At first I was a bit skeptical, but now I am fully in his corner. I think he'll terrorise defenders.
13 Aug 2026 07:48:57
Give us more info on Mbaye, please?
13 Aug 2026 07:50:54
Much appreciated. Keep her lit.
13 Aug 2026 08:06:29
Feels like we're just ignoring our obvious midfield issues, let's sign another injury-prone attacking midfielder, whilst we still have no obvious CDM.
13 Aug 2026 08:24:13
Thanks, Carra.
Great to see you back - hope all is well.
13 Aug 2026 08:33:34
Thanks, Carra.
13 Aug 2026 08:39:51
Nice one Carra, good to see you back, mate.
YNWA.
13 Aug 2026 08:39:55
Gavi is absolutely brilliant when fit, proper warrior.
13 Aug 2026 09:43:35
Cheers, Carra. Good to hear from you again. Hope to continue hearing from you. :-)
13 Aug 2026 09:44:04
One leaves and the GOAT returns.
13 Aug 2026 09:52:33
Cheers, Carra. Thanks for dropping by to share! Hope all is well.
Does anyone actually want to buy Macca?
13 Aug 2026 10:55:21
A lot of people say they want Wharton, but why? Don't think he offers what we need, isn't particularly strong, or super intense in terms of work rate, would, if suited Slot, but not convinced he makes sense for Iraola.
13 Aug 2026 11:59:39
Great to see you back, Carra!! Great info as usual.
13 Aug 2026 12:09:00
Welcome back, Carra, hope you're well, buddy.
13 Aug 2026 12:17:56
Can the eds confirm this is the real carra as his previous post out gave the impression he was going to out for a good while.
If it is you, fantastic to have you back, as good as getting in barcloa defo.
{Ed033's Note - Real Carra.
13 Aug 2026 16:48:12
Thanks for the confirmation, couldn't be happier...
13 Aug 2026 18:41:19
Cheers, Carra.
12 Aug 2026 13:28:24.
Hi all,
Following up on the post from a few weeks back - Curtis Jones is now set to leave. Inter is the most likely destination as they’ve shown a willingness to meet our asking price.
In other news, I will be stepping away from the site until after the transfer window. Nothing wrong, just would like a break.
On that note, I figured I’d provide you all with the midfielder we were interested in signing.
The player is/was Jude Bellingham. It’s highly unlikely a deal gets done but there was some understanding that his time at Madrid may be up, with the PL/Liverpool being the preferred destination.
This is unlikely now due to MacAllister seemingly staying but not impossible. I haven’t heard much on it since so I can’t commit one way or another too heavily.
Thank you all for being good craic. I’ll see yous in a bit.
12 Aug 2026 14:28:59
Enjoy your well earned break, VG.
Already looking forward to your return.
12 Aug 2026 14:34:11
Cheers, Vic, enjoy the break. 👊
Probably due to the keyboard warriors on their school holidays.
12 Aug 2026 14:34:49
Cheers, VG.
Enjoy the break...
Will look out for your return on 2nd Sept 26.
12 Aug 2026 14:37:56
Goddamn Victor, you'll be missed!
Take it easy dude and thanks for the updates.
Hope to see you back again.
12 Aug 2026 14:39:14
Thank you, VG, and enjoy your break. Completely understand why.
Glad it was Jude. Once you had confirmed it was a midfielder, he was definitely near the top of my list, him and Zaire-Emery or Vitinha were my shouts!
12 Aug 2026 14:39:14
This makes me think Barcola deal really is falling through. I just hope whatever happens, LFC do the correct business to help the team.
12 Aug 2026 14:41:56
That's 3 now, isn't it. 😢
Cheers, VG, for all the info you have passed on, much appreciated. Sharing what you have heard while getting nothing in return is why people come back to this site. I hope you look back at it by the people who appreciated your time rather than a thankless task. Take it easy, buddy. YNWA.
12 Aug 2026 14:44:55
Thanks as always, Victor. Enjoy your break, mate.
12 Aug 2026 14:46:54
Thanks, VG, enjoy the break mate.
12 Aug 2026 14:47:19
Jlc, most schools go back on 4 September, FYI, and I think Vg's reasons are more due to the posters who have sprung up (likely kiddies) than the window. It's quite incredible how bad the boards have got in the last 3-4 weeks since the schools have been off.
12 Aug 2026 14:48:34
Reallifered, what makes you think that?
VG's self-imposed break made me think he was sick of all the nuggets trying to disprove any post he & the other ITK's make.
12 Aug 2026 14:53:28
Sorry, Real, I don't think VG walking away has anything to do with any Barcola deal falling through. If it does, I haven't seen anything about that.
I think VG would just admit either PSG changed their stance or we've stepped away.
Why would VG go away till the end of the window when the "keyboard warriors" would still be around in force ready to point fingers.
I think there are too many muppets around, and who needs that crap.
12 Aug 2026 14:56:38
Cheers VG, hope to see you again soon. Enjoy your break. :-)
12 Aug 2026 14:59:39
Cheers for info, VG.
Enjoy your break, pal. Hope you come back one day. Your posts are appreciated by the majority on here.
12 Aug 2026 15:00:37
Bellingham would be mad. I don't follow Spanish football, has he been that bad over there?
Not too sure his buddy TAA would be too impressed. 😂
12 Aug 2026 15:01:33
Looking forward to seeing you back after the window. You'll be missed. Appreciate all of the info you provide. Enjoy your well deserved break. Also, ignore the haters. They're nothing more than keyboard warriors trying to get attention and a reaction. Cowards really.
12 Aug 2026 15:05:12
It's just a feeling I have. I'm not ITK, I just go off of intuition and I could be wrong.
I feel the abuse they would all get if it falls through would be worse than they get now, so that could be one reason. Things change in football and, if for instance they find out the deal was on and is now off and they post theta, the idiots on here will have a melt down.
That's how I'm looking at it.
I treat this site as it is, a rumours site, so it doesn't annoy me if things don't go the way people have said. This site gets me through the off season lol.
12 Aug 2026 15:05:14
Take it easy, VG, come back refreshed.
12 Aug 2026 15:09:09
To VG, thanks for the info, and enjoy your break.
I can see why you need it.
12 Aug 2026 15:12:42
So he wasn't wearing glasses.
12 Aug 2026 15:13:53
Thanks VG, Bellingham would really be a marquee signing, though with us already having Wirtz and Szob, not sure how that would work?
Enjoy your time away!
12 Aug 2026 15:20:35
Look after yourself and see you soon VG. 👍
12 Aug 2026 15:39:02
Can't see this ever happening; he's been in lengthy contract talks, no doubt, speculation over prolonged negotiations and agents leveraging other options for increased terms are the source of this rumour.
Cheers Vic, enjoy the break.
12 Aug 2026 15:41:21
Another one bites the dust.
If anyone doesn't like what our decent guys say, just go away. Decent lads not posting, as people think the world and transfers can be resolved in an afternoon.
Victor, your post has been very much appreciated. Take it easy, man.
12 Aug 2026 15:45:59
Thanks VG, see you!
12 Aug 2026 15:50:07
Thanks VG. All rumours good to hear. Enjoy your break.
12 Aug 2026 16:02:00
TheFields on holiday and now VG taking a break right at the sharp end of the transfer window. Nightmare scenario.
Hopefully Robbo can keep our spirits up.
12 Aug 2026 16:11:21
Cheers for all you have done during the transfer window, enjoy the rest.
12 Aug 2026 16:25:43
Goddam Victor, your posts will be missed. Hope to see you back soon.
12 Aug 2026 16:12:33
Cheers, Victor.
It seems like a lot of our ITKs are getting run off this site due to the massive influx of new posters, which is probably a result of the site being screenshotted throughout the summer and plastered all over Twitter. This has led to the forum being exposed to a much wider audience and, as a result, a wider array of people who either want to troll or just be a dick for the sake of being a dick.
I've been on this site for probably close to 25 years or thereabouts. It's good to see the site grow, which is part of its natural evolution, but I do miss the strong, tight knit community we had before the site gained this much wider exposure.
Onto Jude Bellingham. In my previous post, when Victor first dropped the news of a potential marquee midfield signing, I guessed that it was likely to be Jude Bellingham. He would be some signing for a number of reasons. He's a big game player, scores his fair share of goals, creates for others, is English (which helps with the quota) and, importantly, is an actual leader, regardless of anyone's personal opinion of him.
He also covers three positions to varying degrees, as a No. 8 box-to-box midfielder, a No. 10 box crasher, or even as a false nine, as he effectively played during his first season at Madrid. If there's any chance whatsoever of signing him, you get it done by any means possible!
12 Aug 2026 16:16:13
No surprise you're heading for shelter. Some on here asking the same question over and over, must just be sat refreshing the page. Some need to get outside and touch grass!
12 Aug 2026 16:38:34
Carra and now BG? Hope everything is ok? YNWA.
12 Aug 2026 16:42:08
Enjoy the break. Wasn't it between us and Madrid previously with Jude? Wasn't he walked around the club by Klopp?
Remember thinking he'd be the next captain fantastic like Gerrard if he'd joined.
12 Aug 2026 16:45:17
Thanks for sharing, VG. Don't let the sad posters push you away as they're only upset that they don't have any information to give.
12 Aug 2026 16:59:35
Got to be honest here, and i'm sure i'll be the minority, but i'm not sure i want him.
12 Aug 2026 17:02:31
Take her handy, VG. See you when the madness is done. Adios.
12 Aug 2026 17:13:46
I would pull Macca on a rickshaw barefoot to wherever he wanted to go if it meant we got Jude.
12 Aug 2026 17:14:45
Does Mac Allister need a lift? More than happy to drive him to the airport myself.
12 Aug 2026 17:24:45
See you on the other side, VG.
JB rumour may explain the miserable face on TAA in the car. 😂
12 Aug 2026 17:29:05
There's about as much chance of us signing Diego Maradona as Jude Bellingham. It's silly season for sure.
12 Aug 2026 17:46:05
Enjoy your well earned break, VG.
12 Aug 2026 18:11:43
It's certainly a long goodbye from Curtis. Conflicting rumours today in various media were that we were going to reduce the fee as Inter wouldn't budge, with other rumours saying the complete opposite on other sites. Either way it would be good for all parties to freshen things up.
VG has been a good poster over the years. Hopefully this is a temporary departure. It's hard trying to discern what's going with our transfers these days, even when you have inside info, VG has helped make some sense of it.
12 Aug 2026 18:17:25
Enjoy your well earned break.
I know I've only posted a few times but have been reading for many many years. I hope the negativity that seems to be around settles a bit.
We will see who comes in etc. I'm not too concerned as I honestly think AI's greatest ability is getting the best out of what is here.
I, like so many others, love a new signing but if we don't get anyone so be it. We do have a good squad. Yes, there could be some improvements in areas but if the coach thinks he can work with what we have and use some of the youngsters more.
Brilliant.
As for Jude..... Class player. I don't think it will happen. With Gravenberch and Szob having new contracts and Wirtz only in the door I just don't see it. If it was to happen then he would get my support. If it doesn't then that's ok too.
Whatever happens just bring on the new season!!!
12 Aug 2026 18:53:07
Do we need a Real Madrid reject.
I rather we just have Szob, our future captain, and Wirtz, our future vice captain.
12 Aug 2026 19:14:11
Cheers VG, take it easy pal.
12 Aug 2026 19:18:43
There's more chance of Long John Silver getting his leg back than Bellingham signing for us 🙈 Good Luck with the YouTube channel VG.
12 Aug 2026 19:32:01
Cheers, VG.
I'm not enjoying this ITK transition. Feels like too much change too quickly.
12 Aug 2026 19:37:11
Don't think that'll be a big supported queue cumber.
12 Aug 2026 19:49:27
Take care, VG. As someone said, it gives the Barcola transfer a wobble to me... Hope we are doing serious business behind closed doors.
12 Aug 2026 19:54:41
However, just imagine Bellingham signing for us....... Trent would be devastated, haha. Would be class.
12 Aug 2026 21:14:05
Thanks for everything, VG. Hope to hear from you again soon.
12 Aug 2026 21:46:09
Enjoy VG's posts, a positive voice on this site. Hopefully a short siesta.
12 Aug 2026 21:47:47
Could Macca not be going to Madrid as a makeweight for Jude?
12 Aug 2026 22:16:07
It all makes sense, Trent actually went on a mission to bring Bellingham back to us. I forgive him!! Ha, I never really held much of a grudge. His life, his choice.
Bellingham would be an unbelievable signing, and im ever the optimist, but honestly I cant believe there would be any chance of that transfer happening.
Sure we might want him. Who wouldn't. He dragged an awful England team through the World Cup.
I think I might take a break from the sight after that revelation as well, to be fair.
12 Aug 2026 22:23:50
Good luck, Victor. A couple of seasons ago, Jude to LFC was very plausible, so why not now. But...
If it does happen, I am proposing that everyone on this site rename him...
Jude Goddamn Bellingham.
Thank you, Victor... Respect.
12 Aug 2026 23:06:20
So let me get this straight. Some of you are not willing to believe VG when he says Barcola is done, but you now believe he is taking a break because he has inside knowledge that the deal has fallen through?
Talk about confirmation bias.
Anyway, enjoy the break, VG, and thanks for letting us know what you hear.
Don't be a stranger. ;)
12 Aug 2026 23:51:02
I was one of the people who was very confident that we'd sign Bellingham. He went to Madrid. There's obviously a long standing interest in him, and maybe there's some legs to this.
I can't see him wanting to play Jose Mourinho football, granted that may not last too long at RM.
If as VG said, Liverpool is Bellingham's choice in England, then this could definitely be one to watch over the next 12 months.
I'm unsure how it would work with Szob, Wirtz and him in the same 11, but I'm all for having our manager trying to figure it out.
I think, most likely nothing comes of it this summer anyway, but definitely one to keep an eye on and possibly one the club have a big eye on.
Let's get it straight, Jude Bellingham is a class act. If there's a chance for now or in the near future, I would hope we are planning for it.
12 Aug 2026 23:12:49
When the Eds used to give updates I visited every day n even now will still look here for rumours but some people here are very toxic n r the type that give criticism to everyone without contributing much themselves, the clues in the name rumours, we r lucky, back in 90s it was ceefax n if u didn't mind a hiding from the old man and I called club line n they fed u a bull rumour, or u would wait till Tuesday n read match n shoot for who's linked with who.
I remember reading we were after Shearer, le Tiss, Zidane next Cantona but we did get Bruno Cheryu who was meant to be next Zidane, or how Nigel Clough was going to be our next Kenny so getting updates here on regular is like WiFi n 1g so enjoy it and just calm down season starts soon I'm sure there will be much incoming n going n after the 2 lads we signed plus jaquet last year it seems we have gone back to Klopp days of signing players no one linked us with Fabinio Salah Allison Robertson Matip ox.
we are Liverpool been through rubbish times, good times and once in life time n more will come, we wlll moan no matter what unless we are winning remember this time last year we got wirtz frimpong Ekitike kerkez n then isak there were some here who wanted to have babies with Edwards n Hughes and here we are today wishing them good riddance.
I for one don't believe anyone is coming till I see them in red shirt n even that at times ain't enough Fekir, 3 seasons ago caciedo was agreed n 2 hours later he done a zaza in return n signed for Chelsea, but here's one to cheer u guys up Arsenal fans believed Chini Jr was going to sign for them.
13 Aug 2026 08:31:02
Jude Bellingham is a country mile ahead of both Wirtz and Sobozolai. Not a contest. He'd walk into any team ahead of either. I'd love it to be ours.
12 Aug 2026 13:03:04
Seen more Iliman Ndiaye rumours floating around.
Anyone else heard/seen anything?
12 Aug 2026 13:17:10
Not seen much of the lad myself but I know Whitney Houston always loved him.
12 Aug 2026 13:41:38
Nice one, Chicken Staff, spat my dinner out laughing there!
12 Aug 2026 14:04:30
The Ndiaye who scored 4 non-penalty goals last season, despite being 26 years old, and the man who most of Everton's attacks went through? You might think he must be a creative winger then? No. Just 3 assists, and in the bottom 22% for chances created.
He does work very hard, and is good at protecting the ball under pressure.
I'll credit him where it is due, but he's just not Liverpool standard. If we signed him, we'd need Iraola to pull off a coaching miracle. Reminds me of Wijnaldum, actually. Average winger but maybe he could be turned into a half decent midfielder.
Anyway, avoid.
12 Aug 2026 14:12:41
Chicken Staff, best reply of the day. 😂
12 Aug 2026 14:13:16
Love it, Tcs! Albeit, annoyed you beat me to it!!
12 Aug 2026 14:39:17
Chicken Staff wins this round!
12 Aug 2026 15:11:09
As Ed002 would say - "post of the day" TCS
12 Aug 2026 17:34:47
Excellent stuff, chicken. 👌🏼
That's his song sorted if he signs, isn't it, gonna sound great sung by 50k scousers that.
12 Aug 2026 18:17:58
Chickenstaff, incredible shout, my man, laughed my ass off!!!
12 Aug 2026 19:19:40
That made me giggle ... best reply I've seen. 😂😂
12 Aug 2026 19:50:55
Brilliance, that chicken.... Take a bow, son.
12 Aug 2026 09:13:50
Ed do you know who might look to if Jones leaves for Inter please?
{Ed001's Note - no, sorry.}
12 Aug 2026 10:19:45
I'm guessing Trey has forced his way into that support role now with sheer hard work.
12 Aug 2026 10:26:57
I have to say I've never really seen why Nyoni is rated so highly by the club, but in this preseason he has really impressed me.
He looks to have come of age and found his position at the base of the midfield. His passing through the lines has been exceptional. I could see him replacing Jones's minutes this season and wouldn't be against it.
12 Aug 2026 10:39:37
Trey deserves it!!! Hope he gets it!
12 Aug 2026 10:40:34
I agree, Silvered. If Jones leaves, we should be replacing him with Nyoni, given Jones is probably the 5th choice in midfield behind Szoboszlai, Wirtz, Mac Allister and Gravenberch. Nyoni is ready to be the 5th choice of the 6 main options (with Endo 6th choice).
However, if Mac Allister also leaves, I think we'd absolutely have to go and sign someone. Ideally someone of a different profile like Camara.
If Endo leaves, then Iraola has a decision to make on McConnell and Bajcetic. I personally do not think either is even up to being a 6th choice midfielder. I think you'd struggle to find a decent midfield player willing to come in and sit behind Grav, Dom, Wirtz and Macca as well.
But if you signed one who would start, then you're going to create an issue with whichever one of the 4 who becomes a sparsely used squad player.
A lot of people are overlooking the importance of keeping players happy. Jones is a local lad, and even he is fed up sitting on the bench behind that quartet. I personally think we should keep Endo and Nyoni as the backups and then rotate the 4 starting options through the 3 positions to keep them all fresh.
Squad management in real life isn't like it is on FIFA. They're real people who can cause you real problems if you do them dirty and waste a year of their already very short career.
12 Aug 2026 10:41:58
Absolutely going to happen.
12 Aug 2026 10:44:09
Nyoni will get minutes this season, and rightly so, but we really don't know yet if he can handle the amount of minutes Jones covered last season. If Jones goes, I'd really hope we bring in someone. Doesn't need to be a superstar. Surprised we never pushed for Joao Gomes tbh
Gravenberg, Dom, Macca, Nyoni, Wirtz to cover 3 positions seems one player light.
I know we've Endo, Mconnell etc, but they don't appear to be good enough.
We would be one bad injury away from another disaster if we don't replace Jones imo.
12 Aug 2026 10:48:55
Still think if you're trying to build a squad to go at four comps over a hard slog of an English season, then Trey replaces Endo. Jones and, most likely, Elliott should go towards funding a MF signing, so you would have Dom, Grav, Wirtz, Macca, new signing and Trey.
Obviously, if Macca goes, we replace him also. We'll have likely 60 games this season. Everyone will get plenty of game time.
12 Aug 2026 10:58:14
I would also be mad if MacAlister from last season was in front of me in the pecking order.
Jones also didn't help himself with his performance. I mean, you praise new manager (Sloth ;)), and then you play bad.
Also, he wanted to be captain or be second or third in line for the armband. That fight with Tsimikas was probably the day he decided to leave. I mean, in what universe does Tsimikas get the armband????
12 Aug 2026 11:04:26
Wirtz is now very much part of an attacking 2 partnering with Isak up front, and it seems to be working.
That leaves Szobo, Grav, Maca and Nyoni to cover the 2 midfield positions.
But it begs the question as to who covers Isak and Wirtz?
I don't see Szobo or Elliot being able to do what's currently asked of Wirtz.
Possibly, Gakpo could do it at a push, but there's question marks over his future.
Jones leaving means another home-grown goes.
12 Aug 2026 11:07:07
If we play all kids in Carabao and FA Cup, we may well play just 48 games, Florian.
12 Aug 2026 11:12:56
Ginger, I'd say that if Isak gets injured, then right now Gakpo, Chiesa or Munoz would play up front. If Wirtz got injured, then it would probably be Szoboszlai or Mac Allister who cover behind the striker.
I'm not sure he's ready, but Koumas also seems to be well liked by Iraola, and technically Elliott hasn't left yet either.
12 Aug 2026 11:12:56
I reckon there was a bit of miscommunication in the armband situation: "Give the armband to Curtis" could have been interpreted as "Give the armband to Kostas" with all the background noise etc.
12 Aug 2026 11:15:59
Honestly didn't get the hype with Nyoni but has impressed in the preseason.
12 Aug 2026 11:37:08
There is defo no way MacA could do what's being asked of Wirtz.
He doesn't have the legs.
There is no indication that Chiesa or Munoz could do what's being asked of Isak either.
12 Aug 2026 11:40:05
Fatwallet, there is something that most teenage midfielders tend not to have and that is pass appreciation. They will just hit the ball in the general direction of a team mate regardless of whether it plays them into trouble. As long as the pass reaches them, they'll consider it as a good pass, and a pass completed.
Nyoni has a rare skill with his passing. He always tries to play his passes with the right weight, he typically plays them to a team mates stronger foot, he also plays the pass ahead of them when it is needed or to their feet when that is more sensible, and he rarely ever hits a pass which is bobbling or bouncing awkwardly.
Players with this ability make everyone else look better because it's easier to take a first touch from a good pass, which then opens up the game for others. Even when Nyoni looked physically way off senior football I always picked up on this skill of his, even though at youth level his team mates often weren't good enough to take full advantage of how much Nyoni could open up the pitch for others.
Liverpool have not produced a midfielder in my memory with this level of pass appreciation. It's typically not something England are good at, but something Spanish midfielders have been the best at in recent times. The last teenager in the Prem who I saw with this level of pass appreciation was Cesc Fabregas.
Nyoni obviously still has no guarantees. No kid does and this may be a very exciting skillset, but you need so much more to make it as a midfielder in the very unforgiving Premier League. If Nyoni doesn't apply himself, he'll still fail to make the grade. Getting the right coaching and the right advisors around him is crucial still. Not to mention a lot of luck with injuries and physical growth. Luckily for us, he seems like a well grounded kid and Iraola seems like a good coach so unless his body lets him down, I think we've got a real player on our hands with Nyoni.
12 Aug 2026 11:43:08
Ginger, that's why a good coach doesn't ask players who come in as cover to do the same things. We can't realistically have a player who can do everything Wirtz can or everything Isak can sat on the bench, can we? If Haaland gets injured for Man City, who do they have who can do what he can do?
12 Aug 2026 11:51:58
We're likely gonna wanna play a 60/70 game season.
Wirtz and Isak can't play every min of every game.
The football we're gonna play is gonna be much more intense.
Options are very much required.
I'm not talking exact like for like replacements, im talking about players with the same/similar skillset, fitness, ability, mindset etc etc etc.
They are not currently in the squad.
Ekitike could very well do it but we're not gonna see him until 2027.
What Im seeing suggested over and over again across multiple positions is "sure he can cover that a bit".
That house of cards will come crashing down very quickly.
12 Aug 2026 11:57:20
The problem is Ginger, what I said right at the start of this thread about squad management. Say you sign another striker with a similar skill set to Isak and Ekitike. That's what, £50m minimum? £150k a week minimum? What are we doing when Ekitike is back and we have 3 strikers who all want minutes?
Sometimes you have to find solutions within the squad to cover for injuries.
You can't just have 3 starting quality players per position in case of an injury.
12 Aug 2026 11:59:33
True, Rome. 😂 Look, I'd settle now for 5th if 5 teams are getting in the CL, quarters of the CL, and no domestic cup trophy. Anything more is a bonus for me this season. But I also won't be on here moaning like a lunatic if we are struggling, like loads of people will. If someone is happy to have six players cover the 3 MF positions, and two of them players be Endo and Nyoni (two players with less than 500 league mins between them the last 2 seasons btw), then good luck to them.
But we would be a coupla MF injuries from really struggling. Having to run the remaining top class midfielders into the ground.
12 Aug 2026 12:07:39
A good coach at a top club is provided with the tools to compete.
We have no idea when in 2027 Ekitike can play again.
Ekitike, I believe, could play either position, but as previously mentioned we've no idea when that is.
We barely have a squad to find solutions.
We were light last year and it hasn't improved much.
Again, as mentioned previously, we're gonna play a 60/70 game season. Plenty of game time for everyone even without injuries.
Currently, we do not have the squad to compete.
12 Aug 2026 12:32:51
Ginger, I think we still need a natural RW option for sure.
Other than that, I'm pretty calm. I'd be happy to swap Gakpo for Barcola, but I can live with that not happening now we have Munoz to push Gakpo for his place.
I'd also like to swap Macca for Camara, but again I'm not desperate for that.
The clear gaps in the side were mostly rectified.
We lost Jota to tragedy. We've signed Munoz. We missed out on Guehi, we've signed Jacquet. We lost Konate on a free, we've signed Araujo. Robertson left for free, we've recalled Tsimikas. If Jones does leave, we can promote Nyoni.
Everyone has been replaced except for Salah. That has to be the priority for me.
12 Aug 2026 12:40:02
Pass appreciation - is that when you admire one of your own passes?
Regardless of names, you need one midfielder in your ranks who can win duels when things get ugly, smell a game, slow things down when needed, and close down threats/put fires out.
Other than Endo, we have nobody with any interest in this kind of thing. And Endo was bought as a stop-gap 3 years ago. A great attitude is not enough in this Premier League.
12 Aug 2026 12:46:23
FPF, I think Macca is more than happy to put a boot in and do the ugly work. He just hasn't looked fit enough for about 18 months. Ideally we sell him and sign Camara. If he stays, we have to hope Iraola gets him back to his best.
At his best, he works very well alongside Grav, as we saw the year we won the league and only narrowly lost out to PSG in the last 16 on penalties.
12 Aug 2026 12:47:17
The only RB we have is Frimpong, who's actually a wingback.
Again, we see the old "but Araujo can cover there".
Can he, though?
He's played less than 15 times there in 4/5 seasons, mostly for a very specific job against a very specific player, namely Vini Jr.
There's no right sided attacker.
We need to build a squad not just an XI (which we don't have).
There's very strong links for loans/moves for Ramsay, Scanlon, Morrison, Ndukwe, McConnell, Chambers, Koumas.
Where's the squad?
Where's the options?
I'm not even going into the strength in depth.

A question for Ed001 and Ed025 please. Could you ever see TAA coming back to Liverpool and if not where would he go instead?
{Ed001's Note - I don't see him coming back, but you never know these days I guess, it just seems unlikely the club would want him back. I can't think of anyone that is likely to go near his wage demands to be honest.}

Good question Barry, and one I've pondered given that we need a RB.
For what it's worth, if Trent desperately wanted to come back, I wouldn't be against it, but I think it would be a difficult one for both sides - with fairly hefty slices of humble pie to be swallowed.

If Jones is sold, I would be more than happy to see Nyoni step up and take his minutes. If we can get £35m or close to that for Jones with a year left on his contract, that is good business. Nyoni has been very good in pre season, and looks to have developed well physically. He's looking strong enough and quick enough. His passing has been positive and accurate, and, along with Koumas and Ndukwe, he has really stood out during pre season.
Other players in the squad, I'd be happy to see moved on, would be Endo, Elliott and Chiesa. As much as I have a soft spot for all 3 of them. They just aren't going to get the game time, and we could look at getting some money in for them, saving on their wages and freeing up 2 non homegrown squad spaces.
So we could move on Jones and replace him with Nyoni.
Move on Chiesa and replace him with Koumas. Then we could look at bringing in another midfielder to replace Endo like Camara from Monaco. We could look at replacing Elliott with a versatile attacker who can cover the wings and 10 position.
If possible I wouldn't be against signing someone like a Guela Doue who can play right back and centre back areas where we could have issues if injuries occurred to right backs or centre halves, which is a concern. Ramsey could then be moved on, and I think he may have taken up a non homegrown space last season. I could be wrong though.
Or we could even target a Neco Williams, who can cover right and left back, is homegrown and club trained, and we could move on Tsimikas and Ramsey.

Macca cares more for his mate and hairline than he does doing the dirty work. Even for Argentina, De Paul was the one protecting him.

Rat has run his course, last person i ever want to see in our famous shirt, please don't start conversations on this.
Fluent Spanish on his Madrid intro when supposedly he didn't know what he was doing for the whole of his last year, kept us all hoping he'd stay when he new he was leaving on a free, konate just followed his lead, probably cooked it up between them and followed it through with no intention of signing a new deal.
Not bitter just don't like the urine being taken out of fans and club when undeserved.
12 Aug 2026 17:16:41
I don't agree with that narrative whatsoever. He gave his all whilst here, was one of the best players in one of the best Liverpool teams, managed by one of our best managers, during one of our greatest times, playing some of the best ever football during our best ever days and nights at Anfield and beyond, and winning all that could be won during the above.
He'd improve our team immeasurably, and I'd have him back in the morning. The other RBs currently here are not fit to lace his boots, as the old adage goes. 'Rat' and 'not bitter' don't seem to gel, somewhat, imo. That's my take anyway.

Cheers for the insight on Nyoni, mk.

Wharton for me.
12 Aug 2026 22:50:29
Before deciding if we're ok with TAA or not, the question is... is he as good as when he left?
He looks a shadow of the player he was.

Early morning, gents,
We enquired about MLS, but player + club rejected us, so that's the end of that.
Was told Barcola & Mbaye is almost done. We'll then move on to outgoings before possibly signing a midfielder. Jones is very very likely to leave, and we're very interested in Pedri.
Barca is keen on Mac, so an offer of Mac + cash might test Barca's stance. Wharton won't happen this summer, but keep an eye out for January or summer 2027.
Oh, and Gakpo stays.

Interesting rumour. A bit disappointed about Lewis-Skelly though, think he would thrive in a TAA role at Liverpool.
Pedri huh? He's a fulcrum at Barca. A proper heir to Xavi. Would he fit in Iraola's tactics, gameplay and the intensity of PL? I don't think so.
Unless we go for a hybrid Heavy Metal like Slot's 1st season; possession first half -> direct and vertical 2nd half.
12 Aug 2026 06:38:17
The idea that Barca would swap their academy midfield fulcrum for Mac is laughable.
12 Aug 2026 07:36:57
First of all, I think it highly unlikely Pedri is going to England, full stop, let alone to Liverpool.
Good news on Barcola and Mbaye - I just worry that it will be Mbaye vs Rayan, and I don't really know which is best.
I have read reports this morning that Liverpool have walked away from the deal. Not sure how accurate this is, and take into account that there haven't been any leaks in the two transfers already completed.
12 Aug 2026 07:38:22
Another ITK.
12 Aug 2026 07:44:54
Not saying Pedri is a sure thing. It's a very difficult deal and we're just testing the waters. If anything, this shows that we're 100% looking for a midfielder. Would be stupid not to.
Latest news, Palace enquired about Jones, but his priority is Inter. If he's open to move to Palace, I assume Wharton would be part of the discussions.
Signing out,
Iraola's areola.

Why would we look at someone that came out and said Barcelona is his dream and he wants to stay for his entire career. He just signed a new contract until 2030, just over a year ago. Doesn't seem right to me.
12 Aug 2026 08:44:07
Andoni, the Pedri part seems a bit sus to me cos why would we inquire about a guy like that. It's like inquiring about Xavi or Iniesta's availability from Barca back in the day.
That being said, I hope you are right that Barcola and Mbaye are done/close to done esp. if you consider that PSG have essentially signed their replacements.
We shall see.

Another ITK on here!!
I've followed this site for over 10 years easily and I've never known it to have so many ITK's.
What's the chances of that then? So many people following this very site who just happen to be ITK??
Can we just stop with the b**lsh*t now please as it's making for hard reading on here! If you are posting something on here that you have read on said social media platform then state the source - don't make it sound like you know something from the inside because clearly you don't.
TheFields, Carra, Robbo, VG etc (apologies to those I've missed) have proven to be credible - there's no need for others to try jumping on the bandwagon.
Rant over
Have a good day all
Love Karen

Pedri? We need to be realistic.
12 Aug 2026 09:37:47
Yes and we are bidding for Neuer as well.

Welsh,
It's coincided with the rise of AI. I'd wager that some of these ITKs are just asking AI for an aggregated summary each morning and passing it off here for attention.

Give me all the current names being linked with Liverpool and the latest reported fees, thanks AI.

This classification of "ITK" is a recent phenomenon but people have always been sharing rumours they heard or came up with. When this site was still new, we've had taxi drivers, gardeners, air control officers, real estate agents all claiming that they've seen this player or that player in and around Liverpool.
This isn't any different to that. We have been spoilt by Ed002 who was a try ITK but this wasn't and isn't a site just for "ITKs" to post. Just take everything you read with a pinch of salt and you'd be happier for it.
12 Aug 2026 10:58:55
What's a try ITK? He was the real deal!
12 Aug 2026 11:42:54
I meant to say true instead of try. Thanks for catching that, LeBoeuf.
12 Aug 2026 12:21:18
I love Karen as well.
12 Aug 2026 12:26:57
Andoni Areola might be right about Pedri, as VGD did mention about a midfield marquee signing.....
12 Aug 2026 12:35:51
Karen puts the biccies in the usual place when she's been down Lidl and feels naughty! Treats for the gals!!!
12 Aug 2026 17:06:21
Vgd mentioned it was Jude Belligham not Pedri.
