Had a very long chat tonight, first one since we had the news.
Less pressing matters, we want a swayp with Eze for Harvey. Did mention it weeks back. Parish has been hard work and wants pure cash.
Guehi still on but again it's Pariah being a toss pot, he's edging a meat auction in a vegan restaurant.
Ekitike is NUFC's main target, if you're a Isak fan that's marvellous news for LFC. Sadly I think we get someone else now (my opinion)
Hope everyone is okay, you're all in my thoughts
Ta.
1.) 10 Jul 2025 06:54:19
Thanks Carra.
2.) 10 Jul 2025 06:56:27
We don't buy injury prone players, do we?
3.) 10 Jul 2025 06:58:52
Thanks Carra - hope you’re ok mate.
Begs the question who do we go after if it’s not Isak? . There’s not exactly a bumper field to choose from.
4.) 10 Jul 2025 07:01:41
Who do you think we will get instead of Isak then Carra?
Thanks.
5.) 10 Jul 2025 07:34:37
PSG no9 Ramos was mentioned, I know nothing about him other than nice taken goal last night.
6.) 10 Jul 2025 07:43:37
Thanks for the update Carra, hope you're keeping well.
I'm only assuming here but why would Newcastle be looking at Ekitike for the sort of price touted if their intention is to keep Isak as well? Surely not to put him on the bench and rotate?
If they're expecting Isak to leave then surely we have to be front runners? Maybe they'll only go for Ekitike if Isak is sold?
Hmm. be interesting to hear who you think we'll go for now if not him?
7.) 10 Jul 2025 09:00:03
Lots of Isak staying at Newcastle and us making big strides towards Ekitike this morning. Lots of moves still to be done in the striker merry-go-round. I thought that there would be more clarity by now but it feels a bit like all the clubs either wanting to buy or wanting (or at least open) to sell stikers are playing a game of chicken.
8.) 10 Jul 2025 09:13:05
Hilarious that Parish is a tosspot for wanting cash or the best deal possible for his players. But we ain’t tosspots are we for wanting the best deal possible for our players?
9.) 10 Jul 2025 09:14:43
I don't really understand the link with Eze, isn't he pretty much a number 10 who also drifts out wide to the left sometimes and loves to carry the ball from deep ala Wirtz? He could, like Wirtz, technically play left wing, but that is far from his best position, he is decently strong and physical so that's a plus but he also plays in a team that thrives in transition and has Mateta peeling off into space for him to find, and won't have anywhere near as much space to operate in if he's playing against a team that sits in a low block.
10.) 10 Jul 2025 11:00:48
Kloppers,
Parish is a toss pot for his handling with clubs.
If you’ve ever had the unfortunate displeasure of ever doing business with him, you’d get it. Makes Aulas look like a reasonable human being.
I have no idea who we will go for. Ekitike is very much liked but we won’t pay over the odds.
If we get any encouragement on Isak we will pounce however there have been moving parts I. e Newcastle missing out on all their centre forward targets.
Also apologies for the typos I’m on my phone as I’m away getting married this weekend. Wish me luck.
Ta.
11.) 10 Jul 2025 11:09:02
Congrats Carra. Have a superb weekend. And thanks for the updates - you’re one of the few ITK.
12.) 10 Jul 2025 11:11:08
After signing Wirtz, Eze would be a strange option indeed. Good player but not sure he's what we need unless we're expecting something to happen with Macca or Dom.
13.) 10 Jul 2025 11:14:14
Best of luck Carra. I got married two months ago, we're together a decade and I thought nothing would actually change but it does and it's great!
14.) 10 Jul 2025 11:37:26
All the best Carra. Take in all the peace and quiet while you can mate!
15.) 10 Jul 2025 12:04:40
Thanks Carra.
Good luck for the weekend fella. Let's hope the weather is good and the alcohol is flowing! (and Newcastle get Ekitike and we pounce! )
I hope you find the time to update us again soon (maybe from your honeymoon suite) :-)
All the best.
16.) 10 Jul 2025 12:08:29
Congratulations, Carra!
17.) 10 Jul 2025 12:30:44
Congrats Carra ?.
18.) 10 Jul 2025 12:30:05
@Carra
Congratulations to you and your wife, I hope your day goes really well (you've picked good weather for it :) )
19.) 10 Jul 2025 12:36:35
I got married last December. My meaningful advice would be Happy Wife Happy Life. Rock it out Carra and enjoy every second!
{Ed025's Note - my advice would be...never tell the truth, if you are going to golf.. say you are going to see a job thats a good earner but its a long way away, of course you never get the job but she,s made up you tried, if you are going for a bevy its a meeting, if you lose on the horses you have either been pickpocketed or gave it to an old woman who could not afford groceries, you have to be savvy in this world and it stops a lot of grief...argument avoidance if you like.. :)
20.) 10 Jul 2025 13:19:58
Congratulations carra, enjoy your day both of you.
21.) 10 Jul 2025 15:06:48
Congrats Carra lad, best of luck to you and the lucky lady.
So that's where i have been going wrong Ed25. I will take your advice on board. To date i have been getting my permission slip signed before heading out on the weekends (or booking annual leave which is not declared in the household for a weekday round) .
{Ed025's Note - i tried all that truth lark RedQ...it never works mate.. :)
22.) 10 Jul 2025 15:57:18
Wish I’d seen this advise 35 years ago. My wife hated me playing golf. Best all day sport ever ?.
23.) 10 Jul 2025 16:21:24
Congratulations and Best of Luck, Carra. I remember the day I got married like it was yesterday. If it was tomorrow, I wouldn’t go. ?.
24.) 10 Jul 2025 16:38:07
Congrats Carra and the future Mrs Carra, hope you have a great day and all the best for your future together.
25.) 10 Jul 2025 16:39:08
Congrats Carra.
26.) 10 Jul 2025 16:57:08
Congrats.
27.) 10 Jul 2025 16:46:26
Congrats Carra.
Ed025 so very true mate.
{Ed025's Note - i graduated from the school of life with honours SzSz8.. :)
28.) 10 Jul 2025 19:54:41
Congrats Carra.
So will she be taking your surname. If so what will her name be?
03 Jul 2025 09:01:36
Expected Newcastle to land at least one of their striker targets this summer.
They were anticipating Isak leaving, now he's deemed untouchable because of this.
Never say never but now it becomes truly difficult for LFC.
Ta.
1.) 03 Jul 2025 09:03:30
Thanks Cara! Anything happening re Osimhen or Ekitike?
2.) 03 Jul 2025 09:30:25
Very much doubt isak to Liverpool happens, too many things outside of our control. Wilson is leaving so they are looking to replace him. Their first choice in pedro has rejected them for Chelsea (who’s strategy of let’s just buy all the players so no one else can needs looking at)
The market for a 20+ goal a season striker is so sparse at the minute. There aren’t many available and a lot of teams need a striker.
I think Liverpool will offload a couple with an agreement with Napoli for around 50 million for Nunez and end up with ekitike. I don’t see osimhen when he could potentially miss 6 games at AFCON when Salah is also missing.
30 Jun 2025 13:50:36
Konate's new contract has taken positive steps forward on the wage side of things.
He would however like to be assured that a move in the future would be fairly granted and that LFC wouldn't stand in his way.
Ta.
1.) 30 Jun 2025 14:03:21
Thanks Carra.
Sounds like a clause for specific buyers (like PSG or RM)?
2.) 30 Jun 2025 14:04:41
Wonderful news Carra.
Hope we get Diaz situtation also sorted out. one way or the other.
Any truth in this guehi rumours?
3.) 30 Jun 2025 14:06:38
A reasonable release clause in any new contract could ease his fears maybe?
4.) 30 Jun 2025 14:33:45
The club don't do release clauses. It's a key part of our transfer strategy. No way do we make an exception for Konate.
5.) 30 Jun 2025 14:40:51
Yeh if they pay the asking price, we will let you go! Simple.
6.) 30 Jun 2025 14:45:34
I don't like this need to assure a future transfer. Just sell him and focus on buying a top cb to partner Virgil and lead the line in the future (Romero) .
7.) 30 Jun 2025 14:59:04
I agree, Vak. I want players at Liverpool who are genuinely committed to the club - not those focused on exit clauses and planning their next move. That’s not loyalty, it’s nonsense. If there’s truth to this, then we should sell him this summer.
8.) 30 Jun 2025 15:08:42
Babbity, not to sound facetious, but how do you know? Our management team has changed in the last 12m so don't assume to apply past experiences.
VakPa, if a contract with a reasonable clause in it ties in Konate for a few more years, it gives us a chance to bed in new players during this season (youngsters, Guehi etc) and allow Konate to leave next summer when we have some more established alternatives in place.
Seems sensible to me.
9.) 30 Jun 2025 15:15:16
I agree VakPa. Alarm bells would be ringing if I’m offering someone a job and they ask if I will let them go if they want to leave in future.
Suffice to say they wouldn’t get the job.
10.) 30 Jun 2025 15:24:20
I have no problem with a gentleman's agreement that if his dream club offer a reasonable sum in the future that the club will let him make the move. It is a much better option than losing him on a free next year or offloading him at a bargain price this summer. If the two clubs can work together at that point in time it can also be agreed in advance and allow us to lineup a replacement without appearing to be desperate or with cash to burn. It could be a win-win-win situation, the issue I can foresee is each individual's idea of what is a 'reasonable sum'.
11.) 30 Jun 2025 15:58:39
I don’t see this as an issue, give him a release clause which suitably compensates us, restrict it so that it’s only available to clubs outside of England, time limit it so that it only becomes effective in a couple of years and we’ve protected our asset. I think Hughes is pragmatic enough to go for that.
12.) 30 Jun 2025 15:59:28
Yeah Babbity is spot on, we don't do release clauses.
See Emre Can for the last player that asked for one.
13.) 30 Jun 2025 15:59:58
Interestingly a lot of the tabloid sites are leaning the other way that we're going to be looking to move Konate on for a (relatively) low fee of £40-£50m.
Given his 'home' is PSG, I wonder if a deal could be constructed where Zaire Emery (who we have been tentatively linked with) comes the other way?
14.) 30 Jun 2025 16:09:29
He doesn’t sound very committed, if he’s not 100% committed then he goes.
15.) 30 Jun 2025 16:17:09
We all have ambitions so if he wants to play for RM or PSG in the future I get that.
But for him to do that he has to play out of his skin for us. Which means we get a top performer and hopefully top money for him when he does go.
Unfortunately for most foreign players, and he who shall not be named, we are not the end goal. But I am all for them putting in top performances to reach our goal and then when they do move we replace accordingly.
16.) 30 Jun 2025 16:28:28
Just tell him we won't do a release clause as it sets a precedence and we will not sell at La Liga valuations. However to achieve a going rate to replace is all we look to get.
Others will disagree but he is never going to be near a VVD, he is a good CB with a sizable stature, but not a brilliant footballer. We have to be realistic and treat his resigning as a bonus and 'going rate' is better than free. He can definately be replaced and we buy time to do that if he signs.
17.) 30 Jun 2025 16:31:55
Hmm sounds way off to me, If he does not want to be here forever in his current mind set then he can go now simples.
I only want players here that live and breath LFC plenty of players out there would give a lot to join us and be with us for a very long time.
18.) 30 Jun 2025 16:32:23
Would surprise me for three reasons:
(i) we don't usually make such agreements
(ii) we have never stood in the way of a move, certainly not in recent years
(iii) the teams he would like to go to (say RM and PSG) have more than enough money to pay his market value.
So all sounds a bit odd to me.
19.) 30 Jun 2025 16:46:14
Ok, so no release clause. Then what? He won’t sign…. and won’t agree to be sold…. and we lose him on a free next summer……and everyone blames poor Richard Hughes and the FSG out mob start banging the drum.
Surely there can be a world where he plays for us for 2 or maybe 3 more years, then gets his dream move and we get a fair amount of transfer cash from him.
Not every player we own has to have had Liverpool posters on their bedroom wall when they were a lad.
20.) 30 Jun 2025 17:20:11
It may be like the Kelleher situation. Stay on for a bit (until the new keeper arrives in CK's case), get a pay rise and then allowed move for a modest fee.
It could suit both club and player.
21.) 30 Jun 2025 17:30:45
Thanks Carra, keep it coming.
I don't like the fact he obviously prefers to be somewhere else (hopefully PSG rather than RM), but singing a contract with a release or gentleman's agreement is one step better than what TAA did and gets us time and money.
Id rather get him signed up and hopefully sell him on in a year or 2. And use the money to put towards buying Quansah back in a couple of years ?.
22.) 30 Jun 2025 17:49:24
Don't see the issue. Secure his services with the understanding that we let him move if his dream clubs PSG/ RM come in for him. He's a premium league winning defender. Sort his contract and it gives us longer to seek a viable replacement.
23.) 30 Jun 2025 17:51:22
No issue for me at all. He might want to play for the club he supports in the future ?♂️. He signs a new contract and we get a good fee! It’s better than the situation we find ourselves in at the moment. It’s a win win for both parties.
24.) 30 Jun 2025 18:12:41
I actually think release clauses are a decent way of doing business for both sides and make it more likely that players don’t leave on a free by running down contracts as the only way of ensuring that they don’t get priced out of future moves. Had Trent a contract that allowed him to leave for say 60m he may well have signed a contract and liverpool protect the financial investment. We can hardly complain about release clauses when we have utilised them when buying players so often!
25.) 30 Jun 2025 18:51:02
Seems reasonable to me. If true it shows an openness and transparency from both sides, which is to be respected. If he wants PSG/ RM in future he can have it for a set fee that is fair for all parties. That's a decent and human way to do business IMO.
26.) 30 Jun 2025 19:58:59
Didn’t Suarez have a release clause? I seem to recall Arsenal offering £ 40,000,001 to activate something or other? I also recallLiverpool told them to ‘sling their hook ‘ so perhaps having a release clause doesn’t make any potential sale a foregone conclusion?
26 Jun 2025 13:47:30
I would not be surprised to see Malick Fofana join Liverpool.
It would however require a bigger name departure.
Ta.
1.) 26 Jun 2025 13:59:28
Bigger than Chiesa? Maybe Diaz?
2.) 26 Jun 2025 14:09:04
I disagree Shipley, Chiesa is 6 letters, Diaz only 4.
I reckon we need at least a longer name than Fofana to leave.
McConnell maybe, being 8 letters?
3.) 26 Jun 2025 14:11:40
Maybe Diogo.
4.) 26 Jun 2025 14:12:50
Oh my god. Wirtz is leaving us isn't he? I knew it was too good to be true.
5.) 26 Jun 2025 14:39:40
Szob has a big name.
{Ed077's Note - if he wants a new club, I'd be happy to have him over on the CORRECT Red side, and he won't even need to move houses ?
6.) 26 Jun 2025 14:48:01
Trent Alexander-Arnold was the biggest name we had in think, would that do?
7.) 26 Jun 2025 14:49:13
Chiesa out Fofana in. Gakpo and Diaz are staying.
8.) 26 Jun 2025 14:53:27
Fatwallet - so does Mac Allister, hence I redefined the requirement as "longer name than Fofana" rather than "longest name in our squad" as it scared me too much!
9.) 26 Jun 2025 14:56:41
The CORRECT Red side! Are you off your meds again Seamus ?.
{Ed077's Note - nah
10.) 26 Jun 2025 16:57:56
Edd077 I think he was positionally wasted this season. Think slot wanted or maybe needed his legs and energy for the lack of squad rotation. Pushed him as a 10 constantly pressing. However, the first 3 months under klopp and as an 8, his natural position, he looked a real rolls Royce. For some reason his form fell off under klopp.
Slot mentioned sob sees himself as an 8 and not a 10. He has a wand of a right foot and his All round passing is fantastic. He has every pass in his locker. He was put as an 8 for a few games towards the end of the season and was top drawer. I'm hoping slot puts him as an 8 again. He's imo above macallister but hasn't shown it unfortunately. Maccas also scored some crackers.
{Ed077's Note - having a 70m player on your bench ain't too and for a "poor" club hey
24 Jun 2025 13:18:32
I know i put my neck on the line with Isak and a lot of you have asked my thoughts on this still.
My hunch (and it's nothing more than that right now) is still the same, I think he joins LFC this summer.
Ta.
1.) 24 Jun 2025 13:28:13
Hope your hunch is right, Carra. I must admit I share it!
2.) 24 Jun 2025 13:31:33
I love a good hunch.
Autocorrected to lunch there for a second. Almost left it as I do love a good lunch too.
3.) 24 Jun 2025 13:35:44
For my lunch I love to munch on a bunch of grapes.
Just saying.
4.) 24 Jun 2025 14:09:33
I had spaghetti and it was very nice i enjoyed it.
Ta.
5.) 24 Jun 2025 14:39:15
Thanks Carra, appreciate the update.
Hopefully we'll have something more concrete very soon fingers crossed!
6.) 24 Jun 2025 14:57:49
Carra I agree with you because there is so much noise around about him joining us and am sure if there was nothing in it Isak or Newcastle would have made a strong statement to reassure there fans but the silence from both has been deafening.
7.) 24 Jun 2025 14:59:14
@Carra assume your hunch would be reliant on getting people out the door first aka Nunez, Jota, Elliot etc.
8.) 24 Jun 2025 15:12:19
So, in secret talk, Warranty was actually saying that he had Spaghetti because he was in Italy helping to finalise the Nunez to Napoli deal to ensure we buy Isak.
9.) 24 Jun 2025 15:18:16
I'm not sure the OP would Warranty or Guarantee anything he is posting, Bazzinga!
10.) 24 Jun 2025 15:18:32
Carra, Carbonara?
11.) 24 Jun 2025 15:21:32
Isak Contracted at Magpies til 2028 and on circa £120 per week. His agent alone will be in his ear and saying he could at least double, score a rubbish load of goals AND potentially win the big titles! ??.
12.) 24 Jun 2025 15:38:41
Appreciate the info Carra. Really hope the potential Isak deal comes off.
13.) 24 Jun 2025 15:43:23
Rumours rife in Newcastle that it's Becker plus large monies for Isak, though the magpies are in the final throes of signing burnley goalkeeper Trafford (he must be Old! ) .
Chelsea pursuing striker Kolo Muani PSG outcast.
Amorim chasing ex Aston Vanilla keeper Martinez, also chasing Moise Kean from Fiorentina ex Everton reject.
Kenny Tete, Fulham right back on a free the end of the month being courted by the toffees. Eze to Spurs is hot news in on London media.
West Ham a fortnight ago and spurs new boss Frank a week ago have both started pre-season training already though Spurs as Europa winners will play PSG for UEFA Super Cup Wednesday 13 August in Italy. Not much rest for PSG, also still in the FIFA World Club.
LFC report back on Tuesday 08 July, first game Preston "BOTH ENDS" away Sunday 13 July, three o'clock KO, must be sold out with all the new LFC signings on show hopefully.
14.) 24 Jun 2025 15:44:59
If we go down the rhyming route I’m just glad you didn’t say ‘I’m willing to take a punt’.
15.) 24 Jun 2025 15:59:48
I chuck in a fiver towards his salary increase, Schultzy - just need another 23 of us and he could be on £240 pw!
16.) 24 Jun 2025 16:11:51
So we discovered Carra has a Hunch, have to ask how Esmerelda is.
17.) 24 Jun 2025 16:19:00
Wow @schultzy £120 per week is about a quarter of minimum wage so I'd definitely be looking for a move if I was Isak!
18.) 24 Jun 2025 16:22:15
EDIT (predictive text error?) Isak Contracted at Magpies til 2028 and on circa £120 per week. His agent alone will be in his ear and saying he could at least double that, score a shed load of goals AND potentially win the big titles! ??.
19.) 24 Jun 2025 16:34:26
About what Shultzy earns a week for not fixing cars properly.
20.) 24 Jun 2025 18:52:56
For my lunch I'm rather partial to a banana ? but that goes for breakfast, dinner and snacks.
Thanks Carra and be great to see him in a red shirt.

It's been a hideous few days.
I genuinely send my love to everyone, this is one of those things that is impossible to digest.
Whilst people say it's only a game this idea has been disproven by the enormous support of every single club. The football community galvanises in tragedy, which has been a beacon of beauty in such dark hours.
To Diogos family, you're in the perfect place. This incredible city is equipt to deal with tragedy and loss, they will never walk alone and will have the love and respect of everyone.
A note to the great fans of this club, the posters and the editors. You will never walk alone also.
If you're affected or triggered then please talk to a loved one. To feel a sense of sadness is completely normal but what isn't is to bottle such emotions up. You are all in my thoughts.
Rest in peace Diogo, who will always be our number 20.
1.) 06 Jul 2025 14:14:53
Lovely post.
2.) 06 Jul 2025 14:20:31
Great post, Carra.
It's been both devastating (the event) and heart-filling (the response) . A real rollercoaster of emotions.
Seeing the likes of Bruno, Bernardo and Richarlison, players we usually dislike through rivalry, come out in support of our boy Diogo and his family really does put everything into perspective, doesn't it?
3.) 06 Jul 2025 16:03:22
Nice one, Carra. The outpouring of emotion from fans, players and just people from around the world has been outstanding. Unbelieveable. Let us allow time to it's work. To heal us in its own unique way and we will carry on. Together. RIP Diogo and Andre. May peace and comfort be with your family forever. YNWA!
20 Jun 2025 08:58:14
I will throw my neck on the line and say Alexander Isak signs for LFC.
ta.
1.) 20 Jun 2025 09:14:00
Get in line Carra.
Yesterday Ed001 got his cock on the block over Isak, so your neck will have to wait!
FWIW, I agree with you (not Ed001!) on Isak.
2.) 20 Jun 2025 09:17:05
Newcastle tried to offload him last year to us to bring funds before getting rid of Elliott and Minteh, Isak wasn't impressed and although professional enough to not kick up a fuss he will ask for the Liverpool move as he wants it and we defiantly want it, soon as Pedro signs for Newcastle and Nunez goes negotiations will be on, reckon he is with us by July 4th.
3.) 20 Jun 2025 09:18:01
Love you Macca… sorry Carra.
4.) 20 Jun 2025 09:21:02
I have a strong feeling he’ll be wearing red next season… he’s been our number one target all along. Wirtz became available, wanted Liverpool and we couldn’t turn that down. Few sales and we have the dough. YNWA.
5.) 20 Jun 2025 09:28:52
That’s a big statement mate.
6.) 20 Jun 2025 09:29:39
SHughes is going to eat you for breakfast now Carra?.
7.) 20 Jun 2025 09:32:00
Cheers for passing on MaCarra. Even if he does not, we appreciate you making this window fun to follow!
8.) 20 Jun 2025 09:41:54
Just a guess?
9.) 20 Jun 2025 10:00:06
Carra. please. please don't tease me!
It's my Birthday today and you may of just given me the best present (and my girls gave me a lovely framed photograph of us all)
10.) 20 Jun 2025 10:06:15
Love it.
11.) 20 Jun 2025 10:16:29
Until Chelsea sign Pedro and mess it all up.
12.) 20 Jun 2025 10:57:24
Imagine the shock waves that would send out to Prem.
I don’t think people ever thought we’d get Wirtz let alone Isaak too.
Let’s hope we can pull this one off.

Thanks so much for the info mate. Regardless of how the transfer goes, your updates are so very much appreciated.

If that happens I genuinely don’t see how we don’t win the league next year. We’d take some stopping in the champs league too.

@Brummy, calm yourself, we still actually have to turn up and play 38 games.

Kloppers,
Parish is a toss pot for his handling with clubs.

Guehi could be involved in a move which see's Elliott go to Palace but it hinges on what happens with Eze.
