The scrutiny in Trent's defending is over the top for me. Bradley has been at fault for a couple of goals this season too, where he either let a winger go past him or was caught out of position but nothing has been mentioned of it. Not saying that we should get on Bradley's back though, just pointing out that Trent's defending is being harshly used as a stick to beat him with.

I never got the criticisms people make about celebrating. Football is meant to be enjoyable so let people celebrate their wins. Arsenal won a derby so let them celebrate. Why should we police what people should and shouldn't celebrate?

People forget that Zubimendi rejected a lot of clubs in the Summer, including Arsenal. So none of the clubs that were in for him managed to convince him to leave, including Arsenal. We have moved on, Arsenal chose to go back in for him. That's about it really.

I think it just means that he's the team's vice captain and since the captain didn't play, he became the captain for the match. It would have meant a lot more if he had played but didn't get the armband tbh.

I believe Chelsea has a very strong revenue stream which allows them to buy loads of players. Like their youth system isn't meant for the first team but to generate income so I'd imagine that's how they keep in line with the PSR regulations.

It remains to be seen if Haaland will be the wings to lift City or the anchor that weighs them down. After a brilliant start to the season, he only has 4 goals in 10 starts in the league for City. He is also an extremely limited footballer and needs someone else to create the goals for him. It used to be KdB that does it but with him on the wane, I'm not sure someone will step up. He is still a great goalscorer though so he can refind the form that he had earlier in the season. But if he doesn't, City would find it extremely difficult to move him on especially since it is rumoured that the new contract makes him one of the best paid players in the world currently. Either way, the 9.5 years is a huge risk.

Last season Quansah was hailed as the best young English CB in the league and this season, people are saying that he wouldn't get into a single team in the league. It's amazing how quickly sentiments change.

Maybe I should just add that there isn't a contract yet for Trent to sign. He may very well still want to stay but as long as there isn't an offer for him to agree to, there isn't much that he can do. I have to say his silence is somewhat encouraging though since it could mean that he wants to stay. If he has already made up his mind to leave, I have a feeling that both he and the club would have already released a statement saying as such.

As someone who has been on the receiving end of hate speech, this isn't anything close to it, Shipley. It's banter albeit poor ones that are regurgitated and stolen from other social media accounts on X and insta. It's tedious and mildly annoying but it is just them expressing their dissatisfaction. The truly hateful and trolly ones, I'm sure the Eds have already filtered out.
