Hello Eds, is there any talk of Lucho getting a raise or extension? Seems kike our frint office is not in too of contract matters with a handful of players.

PeteColo

{Ed002's Note - He is not even halfway through his contract yet, so he is far from a priority.}

Been on the pop Pete?

2.) 11 Oct 2024 20:50:12
Fair Play Ed. I got the original question, but everything afterwards was strange to say the least.

3.) 11 Oct 2024 22:11:33
Made me chuckle that Ron.

4.) 11 Oct 2024 22:36:23
There was a second hand article on the daily BBC Gossip column at the start f the week claiming that Liverpool are talking tomDiaz (or his agent Imguess) about a contract extension. Given that people are saying we should have been talking to VVD et al two years ago it seems like the original question was reasonable to me.

At first I thought it was Mick Miller with his Noddy sketch.

Hello eds. Just wondering what you think might be in the future for Yarmolenko? I used the search and saw some chatter months back about him but I value your folks great input. Surely he is set for a big club soon but honestly what are our chances? I know you've explained our Financials but wondering if he is on our radar and whether we realistically have any shot. Big thanks for this rocky Mountain red.

PeteColo

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has shown no interest.

Dynamo Kyiv managed to persuade Yarmolenko not to move this past summer and managed to get him to sign a new contract. There has been interest over the past year from Roma, Spurs, Stoke, Fiorentina, Everton, Inter and Dortmund.

Bayer Leverkusen, Valencia, Napoli and Manchester City all dropped their interest and PSG, who were considering Yarmolenko as a possible option to replace Lavezzi this past summer, seem to have done the same - at least for now but there is a reasonable chance Lavezzi could move in January. Yarmolenko has expressed a desire to move to Barcelona or Chelsea - and there has been more than one approach made directly to the Chelsea to gauge their interest. Right now it looks like Barcelona are considering their options for a January bid, but much will depend for them on an entirely separate matter. Whilst an approach was made to the agent of Yarmolenko by Arsenal in the summer, nothing could be done.

He spent the summer screwing everyone around and there is still a lingering view he could do the same in January. I don't know if anything can be done or if Arsenal or Barcelona will push, but Piero Ausilio was at a recent game to look again at him - so Inter might still be in the mix.}

Thank you sir as always for the great insight and info.

Hello EDS,

I saw the bleacher article talking about players out on loan and guys like Lazar and wisdom who could be of use andor interest to Klopp. What type of contractual issues do our loaners present IF we recalled in Jan? Do you realistically see any of them coming back based on need Or will the finances dictate.

Grazie.

PeteColo

{Ed001's Note - we would have to agree a deal to end the loans with the club that have loaned them. It would really depend on if Klopp thinks they are what he needs and if they are getting games for their team. For some reason Alex Neil is not using Wisdom, even though the alternative is the worst right back in British football, Steven Whittaker, who is absolutely hopeless. So it would probably be a bit easier to sort a deal out with them.}

Not LFC related but congrats to Bologna (wifes hometown) for the Coppa Italia victory. It's great to see smaller clubs accomplish those feats. I have a few players I went by Liverpool taking a look at as well!

Yup, good to see Lewis Ferguson lift the trophy as captain after his bad injury last season and missing the world cup.

2.) 14 May 2025 23:53:24
Ahh man in delighted for Lewis Ferguson. My favourite player to sign in football manager and few years back.

3.) 15 May 2025 02:38:23
Clean sheet for Bologna too, Beukema anyone?

4.) 15 May 2025 05:22:13
They have a very exciting manager, he was already doing good things with fiorentina last year. He is almost a bit like klopp in terms of approach, high line, high man to man press, flying full backs, defensively a little bit fragile.

5.) 15 May 2025 12:54:16
PeteColo, been to Bologna (Frossonbrone to be exact) and the food there is amazing. Saw the game last night and really happy for them (your wife, ofc) and their manager who has been working wonders with them after he replaced Thiago Motta who did bits as well.

Not hating on slot but his lack of rotation is killing us. got to give chiesa, harvey, and endo minutes. Our mids and front line are all toast.

I don’t think anybody should be trying to make this about Liverpool today. Newcastle were absolutely immense on the day and fully deserved their win. Liverpool weren’t bad, Newcastle were just incredible. Say congratulations and move on. Number 20 is still very much on! We’ll be back.

{Ed001's Note - sorry but Liverpool were awful and to suggest we weren't is just ridiculous.}

2.) 16 Mar 2025 19:01:43
Wow, strongly disagree with this, other than elliot winning the ball and playing it through to chiesa for the fine finish, name another piece of play that would determine the 100 mins we played as not being bad.

This is not a great newcastle side, physical, time wasting etc, bit not great. We were close to woeful. didn't win first ball, second balls or hardly any challenges. We were tired, leggy and and played no intricate flowing football.

Just need a good rest and concentrate on closing out the league.

3.) 16 Mar 2025 19:07:30
Haha Newcastle were good, but this was all on us. Anything to make it hurt less I guess.

Bologna is my #2 (wife from there) . Good player but figured if anyone from Bologna it would be Lucemi as he is a L CB and could cover LB. Califiore was the big miss IMHO.

There's no way real Madrid is going to give him that type of money, but if they are then as much as I'd hate to lose them, it's time to say goodbye. That's the type of money you can invest in other players to build Slot 2.0.

Frankly not even sure why I ised that term. Grew up in Pennsylvania and spend time in Georgia, Florida, and now Colorado albeit presently visiting family in the land of Califiori (bologna ? )

Somehow the word American seems much worse considering the present state of the country.

Steven Caulker. I thought we were signing a premier send her back. Had no idea he could also play striker.

Thought it was switched from Xabi to Pirlo when he rocked the well groomed, bellisimao beard?!

At the end of the day ywe should win our 20th with a new coach. Slot is not perfect but clearly he's doing bang-up job. Most teams fall off a cliff when an iconic coach leaves. The most obvious being Fergie amd man u.
