I posted something similar recently and might do so every few weeks. i think I'll call these posts loudest rumours from now on. No inside knowledge. Just perhaps the rumours that are most common amongst journalists. Right now I think it's this:

LOUDEST RUMOURS (potential summer)

Outs:
Nunez,
Tsimikas,
Kelleher
Quansah
Trent (confirmed)

Ins:
Kerkez (lb)
Hjuisen (CB)
Frimpong (RB)
Angelo Stiller (DM)
Ekitike (ST)
Mabareshvilli (GK) (confirmed)

No idea if it plays out like this.

If it does, it's a bit of an unknown for me. I don't think many outside of Dean Hjuisen would be my personal picks but I think that could well end up being a very good summer. Lots of potential there at least.

Of course others are interested in these too and could pip us. Like I said no inside knowledge. Just the rumours I see the most right now.

Davey Sulls

1.) 06 May 2025 11:49:09
Kerkez and Hjuisen would be great.

Frimpong is amazing going forward but I think Slot would prefer someone who's better defensively, just my opinion.

Ekitike and Stiller I haven't watched so no opinion there from me.

I think Nuñez and Kelleher definitely go this window. Quansah/ Gomez one will go. It wouldn't surprise me to see one of Diaz or Jota go too.

2.) 06 May 2025 12:25:50
Kerkez, Frimpong and Huijsen transforms our backline. I really like all 3 of them and I think you'd get them all for about £130m which is not bad for 3/ 4 of a defence.

Ekitike Is not who I'd pick, but looks decent. I like Osimhen out of all the realistically linked strikers.

Not seen enough of Stiller to have any thoughts either way, but I do like Joao Gomes at Wolves of the players I have seen a lot.

3.) 06 May 2025 12:28:07
Outs

Nunez - almost certain.
Koumas
Doak.
Khelleher
Tsimikas
Morton
Jota - if buyer can be found.

Ins.
Huijsen
Cunha.
Kerkez or Hato.

Maybes
Sesko.
Stiller.

Dream one
Cammavinga or Wirtz.

4.) 06 May 2025 13:43:09
Some decent lists there, guys.

5.) 06 May 2025 15:02:45
Maybe better to get Hato, a cheap rb cover to allow one top quality signing like Wirtz.

6.) 06 May 2025 15:38:36
Ekitike is not good enough for Liverpool and neither is Kerkez. I would rule these two out hopefully. Isak Rogers Stiller frimpong Huijsen would be perfect.

7.) 06 May 2025 16:30:01
Very impressed also with the above lists, "Well Done" most notably also for no bickering, just sensible football debates with respect for each other's views, which is how it should be and gives the Eds a bit of a breather after all their recent overtime!

8.) 07 May 2025 10:58:07
I believe that Hughes has now crossed them off his list after reading your in-depth appraisal @NBG.

24 Aug 2024 19:44:07
Hi Ed002, could you see Liverpool making a late push for teun koopmieners or do you think he is very likely Juventus bound at this stage?

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - He is moving to Juventus. He is refusing to train to force the move.}

1.) 25 Aug 2024 11:07:46
I reckon the story only reared its head to put pressure on Juve to get the transfer done.

2.) 25 Aug 2024 12:00:46
Thanks Ed as always.

16 Jun 2024 09:10:48
Hi Ed002, a gut feeling question here. Not your favourite I know.

Do you think Saudi will offer for Salah this summer or wait it out with only one year left to next Summer?

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - Michael Emanalo will make what he considers a very good offer on behalf of Al-Ittihad for Salah and has identified two alternatives he will look to if not successful - leaving Salah to run down his contract.}

1.) 16 Jun 2024 10:45:42
Following from your answer Ed002, do you know of any indication from the club’s side on offering an extension?

{Ed002's Note - I really doubt the club would give him a guge increase in wages and an extension - and why would he be tempted by it as opposed to letting his contract run down and pocketing a huge signing on bonus and huge wages?}

2.) 16 Jun 2024 12:16:42
Thank you Ed002. I think the club should accept a good offer but sounds very much like the ball is in Salah's court.

{Ed002's Note - It is.}

3.) 16 Jun 2024 12:20:00
Eds does player power tend to outweigh the clubs/ best business interests in situations like these?
What if FSG accept a bid this summer but Salah says no?

{Ed002's Note - Then he stays and runs down his contract.}

4.) 16 Jun 2024 14:17:03
On the plus side we get to keep him for one more season time enough to prepare for the inevitable then he gets his move to Saudi and we say thank you to an absolute beast of a footballer who we got for an absolute steal, glass half full.

5.) 16 Jun 2024 14:46:33
I'd rather sell now and pocket the 100 million and buy a replacement. Sureky that makes business sense ed2?

{Ed002's Note - Depending on what the offer is.}

6.) 16 Jun 2024 16:26:38
My only hope here is that any offer comes in at a sensible point for us to do something in terms of a replacement. Clubs know when the windows are, there's no need for an offer for our star player 10mins before it closes.

7.) 16 Jun 2024 20:58:52
I think he leaves on a free I really do . I trust the club will do what’s best all round for the club and no sentiment affecting decisions.

8.) 16 Jun 2024 23:05:23
I think - no proof at all - that he wants one last crack at the CL. I reckon he’ll run his contract down and take the big cheque next summer.

9.) 17 Jun 2024 12:36:32
The offer could be £40m and it would make more sense to sell rather than let him go on a free, the save in wages an fee make it so.

10.) 17 Jun 2024 16:29:18
I don't see a situation where Salah comes out ahead financially by leaving this summer. He'll get paid more and Saudi will end up paying less if he runs down the contract. I think it comes down to his personal ambitions in the CL.

11.) 18 Jun 2024 08:08:51
@mftjones

I am not a financial expert, but I imagine he would have a large wage increase if he left to Saudi compared to his Liverpool wage and I think the tax rules are more favourable so he wouldn’t do badly if he left this season money wise.

12.) 18 Jun 2024 08:42:20
Navy, I think mft is referring to the absolute massive signing on fee Salah would receive if he ran his contract down. Rather than a transfer fee going to LFC, he'd pocket it all himself and then get the massive wages as well.

13.) 18 Jun 2024 13:31:43
Pocketing the 75M for Luis or the 50M for Raheem didn't exactly work out - I don't think we've replaced the 30-45 goal contributions and would struggle to do so with what we'd receive. He's still good enough to change a season and we should keep hold.

14.) 19 Jun 2024 06:49:06
Personally, I feel that Salah and whoever who does not want to play under Slot to be moved on. I appreciate Salah for what he has done for LFC but seeing him disrespect Klopp for more than one occasion, I would think that Slot will have a hard time pleasing him, if he stays.

Slot is not a guaranteed success and could take years to make LFC competitive. I don't think Salah would want to stick around for that. So, I hope we get offered good money for him and we part ways happily. Keeping Salah may not be good if Slot's system does not suit him. Who knows? But since we are not guaranteed of anything, might as well start on a 'clean slate'

30 May 2024 19:40:55
Ed, you've really given us a lot this year. I was just wondering if there's any name that Liverpool have shown quite a bit of interest but doesn't get mentioned often?

Also, would you say Bakayoko and Pacho seem like highest on the list right now? Anyone else you can think would be as high as them?

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - I cannot reasonably say who is higest on the list are but Bakayoko is there with the likes of Summerville. Pacho has the the likes of Silva and Inacio to perhaps contend with. As a wildcard maybe Ederson to replace Gravenberch.}

1.) 30 May 2024 21:26:32
Silva and Ederson would be excellent.

2.) 31 May 2024 04:33:49
Inacio Ederson Bakayoko
I would be happy with that but I have to be honest, I would prefer Kudus over Bakayoko.

3.) 30 May 2024 21:43:26
Do we have interest in Kravadona at nopoli or Chiesa at juve? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Lavorpool has no interest in Kravadona at nopoli but there is interest in Chiesa at Jove. Try searching.}

4.) 30 May 2024 21:59:08
Edd002 could gravenberch leave this window? Thought he was a poor buy.

{Ed002's Note - Milan offer an option.}

5.) 30 May 2024 22:33:10
Excellent response Ed. Thanks a mill.

6.) 31 May 2024 08:30:07
I'd prefer Doak over Bakayoko, and before people tell me he isn't ready. either is Bakayoko, not for us anyway. if i think one of our academy players will be better than a prospective signing within a year or two i'd rather just go with the academy signing. if Mo stays Bakayoko will only be a backup which Doak can do and if Mo goes then in my opinion neither are ready to replace him at this time but down the road Doak has as good a chance of doing it as Bakayoko without spending a small fortune. Also sends out a good message to the academy and any top kids were trying to sign in the future.

7.) 31 May 2024 08:46:44
Bakayoko is miles ahead of Doak. Doak is not ready yet.

If Salah needs a rest or gets an injury mid season and we’ve got a big game against arsenal, city, united etc, would you feel comfortable playing Doak at right wing m?

8.) 31 May 2024 09:25:29
Why Keith, beccause he came to us? if he stayed at celtic he'd be playing every week by now, same if he was at a club in the Netherlands.

9.) 31 May 2024 19:22:36
Lavorpool and nopoli ?

Cracks me up.

18 Apr 2024 18:25:49
Ed002, it appears from noise that Liverpool are pushing hard for Amorim and you have mentioned he is first choice.

You also mentioned he has interest from elsewhere.

I was hoping you would tell me what your gut is telling you. I know you prefer to stick to facts for obvious reasons but if you had to guess (at gunpoint), where do you think he will end up next season? Do you suspect he will make the move to us?

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - I think there is a very good chance he will move to Liverpool but the club need to talk with Sporting, pay up and then perhaps sign a no poaching agreement.}

1.) 18 Apr 2024 19:28:31
Thanks a mill Ed. Player poaching agreement is all good with me. Plenty of good players out there for Liverpool to get their hands on.

2.) 18 Apr 2024 23:07:53
I read his son has asked him to win the league and stay at sporting.

3.) 18 Apr 2024 23:47:35
No poaching agreement as in if Amorim become new manager, Liv will not go after Sporting players? That's a shame because I thought Inacio would be a good addition to Liv team and perhaps Van Dijk long term replacement.

{Ed002's Note - It is not uncommon and Liverpool have previously upset Sporting.

Goncalo Inacio (CB) Watched by scouts from a number of PL sides, including Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, with each declaring an interest. Sporting will not be keen to do business with Liverpool although the club could potentially arrange to pay his full Release Clause in a single payment and force the situation if the player is interested - and that seems a strong possibility. The other sides to declare an interest are Newcastle and PSG, but PSG have a plan over another player but it is looking unlikely he will join - so Inacio might become the focus. Real Madrid offer a wildcard option. Sporting would rather not sell and are looking to a further new contract and an increased release clause. Newcastle have held talks with Sporting in order to be able to speak directly to the player and to understand if there is flexibility in the payment schedule – but there isn't. Arsenal interest would have departed with the signing of Timber although it has returned with the injury to Timber and impending departures. They are actively seeking talks with Sporting. The player has also been offered to Chelsea by his agent when discussing another player, but they have preferred options for a long-term Silva replacement although do have an interest in Inacio's CB partner Diomande. Arsenal have made a tentative offer that has been rejected. The player's agent has also said that Inacio is open to a move to Manchester United and they may push depending on departures.}

4.) 19 Apr 2024 06:41:52
So is it Klopp who taps up players or other Liverpool staff I get so confused as to who is our real culprit of tapping everyone up.

{Ed002's Note - We have been through this repeatedly.}

5.) 19 Apr 2024 13:24:20
It’s staggering isn’t it? Can’t for the life of me think what the common thread is in bringing the subject up over and over again.

6.) 19 Apr 2024 16:36:07
I'd take diomande over inacio.

7.) 19 Apr 2024 19:23:32
Top defender the Sporting fans love Diomande
I’d take him too.

God, I just love Harvey Elliott's attitude towards the club. He is such a good lad.

Hoping he stays and Slot trusts him more next season.

Davey Sulls

1.) 01 May 2025 08:38:59
I have always said, I think he is the closest to one of us on here making it at the club.

A true fan living his dream and it is amazing to see. Would just love him to push forward to the next step of his development and get a shot at the first team regularly.

2.) 01 May 2025 09:37:54
He will mostly be sold.

3.) 01 May 2025 09:58:37
Has anyone seen the amazon documentary, which features Harvey's dad?
That is one strange old relationship for a grown, multi millionaire footballer.

4.) 01 May 2025 10:32:06
Absolute baller.

5.) 01 May 2025 12:12:45
He's what I call a "true believer". In himself, in the club, and whatever else that drives him on a daily basis. It can never hurt to have such players around in a squad; as a starter or a bench warmer; doesn't matter. Henderson and Milner are my examples of true believers.

6.) 01 May 2025 15:06:07
Boss lad loves the club, puts up with being a sub never moans loved him winding richarlson up brilliant. Can’t be sold him and Curtis even Gomez know they mostly squad players try sign someone for the same pittance we paid for them who will offer what they do.

7.) 01 May 2025 16:27:03
I felt sorry for Harvey on Sunday. When every player's name was being sang during the celebrations, I'm sure his was the only one, along with Quansah, that wasn't sang. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm sure he missed out. I'm sure he's not losing sleep over it.

8.) 01 May 2025 20:05:26
Mostly be sold?
Can we keep bits of him then?

9.) 01 May 2025 20:24:15
Which bits are you interested in Flash? ? (Don't frown, you asked for it) .

10.) 01 May 2025 22:01:36
does Quansah have a song?
felt more sorry for Chiesa. Every time he appeared on Camera he looked a mix of too shy to celebrate or at the least disconnected from the celebrations. Was watching the "Slot cam" on youtube which is an awesome watch. but again, noticed the hug Slot gave Chiesa was no different to the hug he gave one of the spurs players a few seconds earlier lol then compare that to the hug he gives others in our team :D.

11.) 02 May 2025 07:42:25
I'd just keep his hair. With him being a fringe player, like.

14 Apr 2025 22:56:51
Just thought I'd list the players that I see us repeatedly linked with:

LB:Kerkez
LB/ CB: Hato
CB: Hjuisen
CB: Guehi
RB: Frimpong
CM:Hugo Larsson
CM: Ederson
CF: Cunha
CF: Isak
CF: Ekitike
CF: Mohamed Amoura

I think Kerkez, Hjuisen and Ekitike are the top three linked right now.

I personally hope we sign a RB option if Trent leaves as looks likey as competition for Bradley.

And a CM option.

And I really would love to sign Hato. Think he will be a star.

Going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Davey Sulls

1.) 15 Apr 2025 11:23:56
Most of those would be nice options Davey.

for me, not too different:

Kerkez LB
Huijsen CB
Frimpong RB (Only if Trent leaves)
Baleba or Zubemendi CM
Cunha CF/ AM
Isak ST

(Cunha and Isak assuming that Jota, Nunez and Diaz leave)

I really would like that midfielder who has that strength not to be bullied, like Joelinton, Baleba which would take our midfield up a level in my opinion!

Let's hope we do all the right things in the summer and be even better next season!

2.) 15 Apr 2025 12:37:01
I believe most likely from above are Huijsen, Kerkez and Cunha.

04 Apr 2025 18:28:50
I'm interested in hearing some comments here.

Who are the players that you ve only really seen on YouTube but would like Liverpool to sign. We all have them. Last year I wanted Markus Thuram off his YouTube clips. Big let down live.

This year the two that interest me most are Hugo Larsson and Mohamed Amoura. These both look like really good players to me but could YouTube be deceiving me again.

So I have two questions for you all.

Have any of you seen either of these two play full game and would you recommend?

And 2. Who do you have on your list like this?

Davey Sulls

1.) 04 Apr 2025 18:33:49
Sorry. Meant to say kephren Thuram last year.

2.) 04 Apr 2025 18:39:02
I knew Lazar Markovic was going to be a flop because even his YouTube clip was average.

3.) 04 Apr 2025 18:54:36
I mean if we're going of YouTube I'd like to sign r9 please.

4.) 04 Apr 2025 19:10:23
Sounds a bit ali dia to me mate.

5.) 04 Apr 2025 21:38:53
Sorry, stopped watching players on youtube years ago.

6.) 04 Apr 2025 23:17:50
Gordon Ramsay.

7.) 04 Apr 2025 23:54:54
YouTube’s good to see what kind of player someone is, totally useless to gauge how good a player someone is though.

8.) 04 Apr 2025 23:58:47
Uncle Roger.

9.) 05 Apr 2025 08:28:24
Prefer Fake Taxi to be honest.

10.) 05 Apr 2025 11:36:12
I've seen Larsson play on a few occasions and he is a very good player, sort of the controlling progressive midfielder in the pivot that slot wants. Great in small spaces, good at using his body to protect the ball under pressure, very efficient, good awareness of space and can play quick one touch football, very good engine, he is a primary progressor of the ball for eintracht and is often tasked with carrying or passing through the lines to somebody who can hurt the opposition in the final third. Basically he is a bit like gravenberch in terms of attributes and the function he plays in the eintracht system, but I would imagine that he'd be a rotation option for gravenberch rather than somebody who could consistently play alongside him because they are quite similar in terms of what they can offer.

Nice one, Davey.

Definitely the right positions that we seem to be targeting.

Hato, Huisen and Cunha - excellent shouts.

Jury out on Frimpong and Wharton for me. Good players though.

Mbeumo - underwhelming for me. I don't even want to think about Salah not staying to be honest.

Ooooh. Nice! I yammered on so long I got an article.

2.) 23 Mar 2025 23:41:24
Good read Davey.

3.) 24 Mar 2025 00:17:39
That's a title-winning squad at the end of it Davey, you'd deserve your spot on the open top bus parade at the end of the season!

This is a good read and a bit of fun, hope it doesn't get wrapped up immediately in "those values are way off" or "Hughes could never manage that" negativity!

4.) 24 Mar 2025 02:00:06
Decent read Davey.
I don’t agree with the CBs though, Huijsen wants to play in Spain, not proven either but I know the club has an interest and has for a while.
Konate may also go, he will be tempted by a move to PSG.
Hato is good for the CB replacement of Gomez and to cover the aging VVD but prefer Kerkez for LB and I think it’s a done deal.
Isak would be a dream.

5.) 24 Mar 2025 03:53:43
An excellent read Davey. I think it's pretty realistic, if we did business like that then I'd be happy, apart from of course Salah and Trent leaving for free. If we could keep them then it'd be ideal but it's not looking likely. If Hughes pulled his finger out and we got Hato for 30 million then all is forgiven! he's going to be some player that lad.

6.) 24 Mar 2025 08:09:48
Cant see five attacking players leaving, i see AT LEAST Salah, Gakpo and Chiesa still being here next year. I'd like Wharton too though and Huijsen.

7.) 24 Mar 2025 08:15:38
I still don't see as big an upheaval as most seem to. For me for the starting 11 weed need an upgrade at LB and CB and another starting level midfielder. Rest will depend on what squaddies move on ie someone like Quinten Timber coming in if an endo or Morton goes.

8.) 24 Mar 2025 08:29:37
Meant to say LB and CF.

9.) 24 Mar 2025 09:07:36
Thanks Davey. IMO we will sign five players in total - a starting LB/ CB, a rotating RB, one rotating mid likely CDM, a starting CF and a back up RW.

Hopefully a number of your choices will fill those positions.

10.) 24 Mar 2025 10:04:18
That's 425m on players. The thing is, I don't think your valuations are far off, which is why I think that outlay is so unrealistic.
Ironically, if we signed Trent, Salah and VVD to new deals, we may actually have the outgoings + budget to fund Cunha, Isak, Huijsen and Hato without needing lesser-quality replacements in Mbeumo and Frimpong (they're both good players) .

Wirtz Szobo double 10/ false nine would be interesting to me. Help Liverpool gain more control. And create space for wide players to get in behind. Thinking not only Salah and Gakpo to attack space but players like Frimpong too. Not to mention Wirtz and in particular Szobo also. Could work well for me.

Pure guesswork. Plausible but I think he stays. Perhaps carrying a niggle that is not worth chancing or some personal reason for needing a rest. Many plausible reasons.

Seems whatever team he is on wins big things. Bit of a good luck charm Macca. Hate to lose him.

Davey Sulls

{Ed001's Note - do you not just think he needs a break? It is a World Cup year next year, so the season starts early, meaning the preseason is shorter, so it helps to give some players a rest early.}
