Hi Ed,

I know you mentioned liverpool have scouted Filip Stevanovic. I like this kid a lot.

Could you give a full overview of what teams are interested in him right now and if there are any of these teams pushing for his transfer right now?

I hope we compete for this one.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - Filip Stevanovic (AM/LW) Partizan Belgrade kiddie who has been watched by Nice, Manchester City, Chelsea, Spurs, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Juventus, Torino, Liverpool, Lazio, Atalanta, Herta Berlin, Werder Bremen and Southampton. And I suspect others. Nice are working on a deal to take him in the summer and Monaco would like to do the same but await an appointment – don’t lose sight of him.}

1.) 09 Jul 2020 15:38:55
Thanks Ed. Appreciated as always. I started watching clips of him on your recommendation. Looks a real talent.

{Ed002's Note - One to watch Davey.}

2.) 10 Jul 2020 14:51:28
The question is whether we have the money to buy him. Do we?

{Ed002's Note - Stevanovic would be affordable.}

31 May 2019 13:30:03
Jiri pavlenka ed?

It does not seem plausible to me that he would sit on the bench.

Seems like a non runner.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - Last year Jiri Pavlenka was one of the options to Alisson as I recall but I am not aware of any return form him right now. Are you sure this isn't old news of some type?

1.) 31 May 2019 16:09:35
I can confirm he pulled out of the 5:30pm at aintree.

2.) 01 Jun 2019 07:31:54
Probably someone like Reina or David Marshall look likely. Klopp won't spend anything more than a negligible amount on a second choice GK.

31 Aug 2018 11:24:43
Hi Ed002, With Lyon in the market for a striker, could you see them bidding for Origi? Or are they locked on Dembele. Seems Celtic are playing hardball over him.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - No, they have not shown any interest in Origi Davey.}

1.) 31 Aug 2018 13:20:46
Thanks Ed. Appreciated.

08 Aug 2018 14:15:18
I see rumours of Crystal Palace bidding for Origi. Around 15M.

Sounds plausible.

Davey Sulls

1.) 08 Aug 2018 15:31:19
Plausible but I'd guess we want more. Over 20 probably. Rightly in my opinion.

{Ed0333's Note - 20 mill for origi. We talking money or peanut M&M’s? If we get 20 million for origi I’ll be Ed’s 001’s bitch for the season.

2.) 08 Aug 2018 16:19:54
Not even in a world were Richarlson is 50M ed?

{Ed0333's Note - to my knowledge Richarlison is circa 35 million the rest is add ons. No mate even in a word where Troy Deeney was valued at 30 million once upon a time Divock Origi is not 20 million. If Edwards gets that amount he deserves a statue at Anfield.

3.) 08 Aug 2018 16:22:33
Think they should cut their losses and accept all reasonable offers for them just to get shut.

4.) 08 Aug 2018 16:31:52
We bought him at around 10mil plus the fees we got for loaning him back for one year. Anything above that should be acceptable, given that he never really made it to the first team.

5.) 08 Aug 2018 18:14:08
I agree with Ed’s 20m is silly. He hasn’t proven himself and people are not paying for his potential they are paying for the player he is now. Which in my opinion is no more than 15m.

6.) 08 Aug 2018 18:49:56
Richarlison is £35m plus addons realting to how well Everton do in the future. In other words, £35m.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 19:01:26
He's tall, quick, strong, premier league experienced.

Minimum of 20, if they want him now then they might just have to pay a little more aswel.

8.) 08 Aug 2018 19:06:14
You missed out a key factor. He can't finish! Kinda key for a Striker in the Prem.

9.) 08 Aug 2018 19:11:33
£15M is a reasonable fee for Origi, If I remember correctly Wolfsburg paid £6M loan fee for him last year, so we can pretend the fee is £20M+.

10.) 08 Aug 2018 19:21:29
Epicpotato
That comment, hahahaha.

{Ed025's Note - not funny one little bit imo..

11.) 08 Aug 2018 19:37:21
It'd be a shame to see Origi go because I always believed he'd break through but if he does go fingers crossed he can crack on and do well for himself/ new team. I agree with you ra, any profit on what we paid would be a good deal now I think.

12.) 08 Aug 2018 21:49:51
He's not really impressed or performed at the required level or consistently, either for us or away on loan. I wish the lad well but for his sake, and ours, it's better he leaves whatever the price may be.

13.) 08 Aug 2018 22:04:27
Origi has played 2 full seasons in the Prem as 2nd/ 3rd choice striker and has scored double figures both times.
The top scorer last season outside the top 6 scored 12 goals.
Origi as the main striker in a decent team will score that and that why he's worth £20mil in this market.

14.) 08 Aug 2018 22:13:48
Agree epic that other 15 m is pretty safe for Everton.

15.) 08 Aug 2018 23:01:30
I’m a World where Richarlison is £35m Origi should be worth £50m of anyone’s money. He will be a great striker for someone one day. Richarlison is just not very good.
I’ll never understand why Everton paid so much for Richarlison when Calvert Lewin it’s actually a better player. Is it because he’s Brazilian? Yet more gross mismanagement from the toffees that will see them relegated eventually. You mark my words.

16.) 08 Aug 2018 20:07:09
Sorry Ed025. Was just trying to lighten the mood a little.

{Ed025's Note - thats fine EP, if we cant give each other a bit of stick now and again then whats the point?, keep it coming mate..

17.) 08 Aug 2018 16:34:48
Ed033 we as a club seem to always over price our fringe players mate. Do you no why?

It's been said for weeks that we will be busy with outgoings but here we are with one day to go and still have so many players that will clearly get limited playing time.

The likes of

Mignolet Clyne Origi Ings Grujic amongst otherso still on our books swelling the squad and wage bill just doesn't make much sense to me.

{Ed0333's Note - to be honest mate I think it’s a case of being shafted continuously and the club have had enough. We always seemed to be Aldi or Lidl, other clubs knew they could always get a bargain from us and it seems someone up top has said enough is enough, which I wholeheartedly agree with. I think the high valuations started with the nippy Aussie fella whose name I can’t remember and Ibe. We got over market value for both in my opinion and it set a trend. There will be times that we’ll still let a player go cheap but I think that’ll be the exception rather than the norm. The players you mention will all be gone by the end of the month bar Clyne I think.

18.) 09 Aug 2018 01:10:34
Kloppbanger we can still sell players to european clubs for the next three weeks so its not one day to go.

19.) 09 Aug 2018 06:54:30
What if a European clubs wants to buy a premier league player after our window shuts, Can they offer cash plus player? Or can players only leave our shores in this strange early closing malarkey?

{Ed001's Note - can only leave.}

20.) 09 Aug 2018 01:03:10
That's a great point Ed333.

{Ed0333's Note - why thankyou Mr Salah and I thought of it all by myself 😂

07 Aug 2020 12:04:24
Man I hope Wijnaldum surprises us all and signs a new contract.

For me Wijnaldum > Thiago.

Davey Sulls

1.) 07 Aug 2020 13:18:59
Don't ask me why davey mate, but I still think he will.

2.) 07 Aug 2020 13:51:43
For our system, injury record and PL experience, yeah you might be right in choosing Wijnaldum over Thiago, but in terms of individual quality and the creativity we’re lacking in midfield, Thiago over Wijnaldum all day long. It wouldn’t be a backwards step if wiji was to go and Thiago was to come let’s put it that way. My only concern would be his injury record otherwise I wouldn’t be totally against that outcome. The squad needs freshening up, and whilst wiji wouldn’t be a player I’d list as needing to move on, he clearly has a problem with signing a new contract with us, all whilst Thiago seemingly wants to play for us.

3.) 07 Aug 2020 13:51:47
The fact he hasn’t yet worries me. Maybe he’ll run his contract down like lallana prob easier for him to choose where he moves too in that case as no fee negotiations with lfc.

4.) 07 Aug 2020 14:23:31
Doesn't Gini want to go home lad's?

5.) 07 Aug 2020 14:24:30
Best case for me would be Gini signs and stays and Thiago joins.

6.) 07 Aug 2020 14:55:49
If Gini has yet to sign a contract he has had on the table since last year, I don't think he will sign it now. I hope I am wrong cos I love the guy to bits and IMO, is better than Thiago.

7.) 07 Aug 2020 16:02:43
It's looking a bit dodgy regarding wijnaldum seems everything gone quiet he is important too our squad as well. But maybe he wants a change and if he does wish him well an we move on .

8.) 07 Aug 2020 16:14:44
I think Wiji will move on but I also think that if he’s not sold in this window then he will play next season with the same effort and consistency that he’s shown in his time here. For me his attitude is 2nd to none and I include Hendo in that.

9.) 07 Aug 2020 16:47:33
I agree jk23. If he stays and runs down the contract, he will put in just as much effort. He's a real professional. He hasn't signed this contract, but he hasn't been hinting in the media how he suits purple and red. He hasn't been "playing the game" so to speak. He always seems so happy in interviews and I just can't imagine anyone wanting to leave this team at the moment, unless they're not getting a game.

But my head agrees with RM and ed01 that if he was going to he would've signed (echoes of the Emre can situation) but my heart hopes he stays. Class little player. I'll remember him fondly until the day I die.

10.) 07 Aug 2020 17:10:51
As Ed001 said, its his prerogative to not want to sign another contract, and ours to then sell him on the basis of that. The squad needs freshening up as it is and let’s be honest, if you had a gun pointed to your head and were forced to sell and then replace one of the starting 11, it would be Gini. He’s been a fantastic player for us but if he feels his time has come then we can’t sit on our arses and do nothing about it purely because we are afraid of change.

Make no bones about it, there is a real opportunity to improve the starting 11 here and Thiago is some player. It really is comedic the amount of people on this page trying to position themselves as football hipsters on this issue. Gini is a good player and we’d all love to see him stay for continuity, but Thiago is a fantastic midfielder and could potentially take us to another level. The only real concern is his injury record, however given Andreas Kornmayer worked with him for some years, i imagine he would be able to give Klopp reasonable advice on whether it would be worth signing him at all. As it stands the club do not seem phased by his injury record and in that i trust their judgement, just as i did when they decided not to sign Fekir. Trust in club and trust in Klopp!

11.) 07 Aug 2020 18:18:55
Ed001 do you see Thiago arriving if Gini stays mate?

{Ed001's Note - I doubt it.}

12.) 07 Aug 2020 18:38:45
If Thiago joins then it’s at the expense of someone else in that role, no doubt about it.

If he were simply an addition you’re looking at:

Keita, hendo, fab, ox, milner, wiji and Thiago - that’s 7 players for 3 positions in the squad. That doesn’t even take into account if Curtis Jones plays one of those roles for us.

13.) 07 Aug 2020 19:17:32
Just looking at Ox’s stats across all comps for the season and he started 13 games in centre mid and 7 games in the front 3. He then made 15 sub appearances but it doesn’t actually state what positions he came on in. Interested to see if anyone knew as just out of memory I think he’s probably played just as many games in front 3 as he has in centre mid. Perhaps he might be the one who is the odd one out in the centre of midfield. Just a thought.

14.) 07 Aug 2020 19:18:29
You're right anonymous woolback, if I had a gun at my head gini would be the first team player I'd let go, him or gomez I suppose. But he's in the first team and thus I love him, want him to stay. And it may be true but if not for him we wouldn't be European champions (almost definitely) and who knows what knock on effect that defeat could have had on the following season?

15.) 07 Aug 2020 19:52:45
We're talking about needing more creativity in the midfield. City have loads of creativity in midfield and we ended the season way ahead of them.

It should be more a case of City thinking "Hmm, we need more hardworking players in midfield to catch Liverpool". If Gini is going to leave, I wouldn't be surprised to see City in for him and offer him stupid wages.

16.) 07 Aug 2020 21:53:45
Spot on spud.

17.) 07 Aug 2020 22:25:03
Nah jk23, got to remember that the ox was coming back from a horrendous injury this season. Plus fabhino has made his spot permanent leaving only two spots, one really as Hendo is our captain. The Ox is a really handy player to have, I'm glad he's a red. I think he'll thrive on being a pl Champ and I reckon he's due a big season. Remember how good he was in that first season. He was almost a revelation! This seasons going to be quite big for him though.

18.) 08 Aug 2020 00:24:18
EpicPotato - Pep wouldn’t know how to use him effectively, just as he wouldn’t know how to use Firmino effectively either.

19.) 08 Aug 2020 07:45:13
Robbie you’re correct mate he was coming back from an injury mate and he was excellent in his first season. I like ox and I really want him to do well. Guys were speculating who would drop out if Thiago were to join and I was just pointing out that it could be Ox. And I don’t mean him being sold I just mean him staying as a squad player covering the midfield and front 3. His utility is a strength but also a downfall (for him) as I know he wants to be a centre mid.

20.) 08 Aug 2020 09:59:20
obvious follow-on . ed1 - do you see us signing Thiago is we sell Gini?

Also I'm not sure I've actually seen on here that we have made contact With Bayern of Thiagos reps at all?

{Ed001's Note - he is certainly Klopp's preferred option, so it would be the most likely replacement.}

21.) 08 Aug 2020 10:45:06
Guess Aouar is not an option if Gini leaves? Would love him to come in! But finances and dealing with Lyon probably stops any chance of this.

{Ed001's Note - he would be my personal choice too but Thiago is the most likely option. You have to remember Thiago has also made it very clear that he would like to play for Liverpool, which is something Klopp wants in his players.}

01 Aug 2020 01:13:55
What's your favourite thing about this current team?

Mine is when the opposition team gets a corner and you think. We might score here.

Davey Sulls

1.) 01 Aug 2020 06:55:59
The fact that they never ever give up
You always believe we will score that goal to get the win
Even. If we don’t always do
They make you believe they will.

2.) 01 Aug 2020 08:08:16
I like how hendo does the shuffle before we loft trophies.

3.) 01 Aug 2020 08:45:37
Klopps hugs.

4.) 01 Aug 2020 08:45:39
I love Henderson always did but the shuffle has to go but a major plus is we don't stop we keep going and going until the final whistle.

5.) 01 Aug 2020 09:03:24
My favourite thing about this team is their passion, their determination for success.

6.) 01 Aug 2020 09:08:38
The fact that this team makes Pep wet his pants all the time.

7.) 01 Aug 2020 09:29:17
The fact that nothing sees to be able to break them. Mentality Monsters, the lot of them.

8.) 01 Aug 2020 09:52:29
Aside from many of the things said above, mine would be the fact we are back on the perch. Yeah, some of you will protest the "arrogance" and "lack of humility" in my statement. I'll just suggest some golf or cricket somewhere on the TV for you.

9.) 01 Aug 2020 10:44:20
ArAy1969, you wear that Unbearable badge with pride. Love it.

10.) 01 Aug 2020 10:46:22
Yeah if that's the case I'm arrogant too ra, bugger it. Let's be arrogant :) .

11.) 01 Aug 2020 10:57:25
Favourite thing about the team, club and ownership is that they do things their way against the expertise of so many fans and are succeeding.

12.) 01 Aug 2020 10:05:55
Speed and urgency. I think that’s why when we’d won the league and took our foot off the gas, it was such an hard watch. I hope Klopp stays for another 15 years.

13.) 01 Aug 2020 13:56:53
I’d have to say the fact that they’re current Premier and Champions League winners 😅.

14.) 01 Aug 2020 14:09:47
I like their socks.

15.) 01 Aug 2020 14:35:41
Thanks Red Meister and Salah. 🙏.

16.) 01 Aug 2020 15:49:03
Mine is pretty simple (although davey's was brilliant)

This team has justified our belief in Liverpool fc. And they have given us our pride back. Many have taken it for granted already, I do sometimes. That's the best thing about this team, for me.

17.) 01 Aug 2020 10:05:55
Speed and urgency. I think that’s why when we’d won the league and took our foot off the gas, it was such an hard watch. I hope Klopp stays for another 15 years.

18.) 01 Aug 2020 20:10:52
Above everything. They seem a good bunch of lads. It makes it all the more special when we don't seem to have any knob-heads.

I could say loads of things about this squad, mentality, desire, winning mentality, but that's the main thing for me. If I was a neutral, I'd want them to be successful because they all seem decent guys.

19.) 03 Aug 2020 07:02:43
Davey Sulls, funny that because I think the same. As soon as there is a corner for the opposition I feel we can break and catch them on the counter.

29 Jul 2020 18:09:21
Hi ed002,an opinion query more finance related than anything. There's some rumours floating around that both origi and shaqiri could be sold.

Could someone like zaniolo become financially viable were that to happen? Think with mane and salah able to play up top, he really improve the squad covering the wings of even rotating because he's quality.

Or is he a big stretch to make happen financially.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - No, Zaniola is not moving to Liverpool Dacvey.}

1.) 29 Jul 2020 20:27:40
Why can Brewster and Elliot not replace Origi and Shaqiri if they were sold? Constant name throwing at the Ed's is ridiculously boring.

2.) 29 Jul 2020 20:34:48
Thanks Ed.

3.) 30 Jul 2020 00:11:22
It's just a question Irishman. I was of the impression the site was OK with it.

There are some rumours linking to zaniolo but now ed002 has squashed it, I'm good with that.

21 Jul 2020 14:36:11
I'm not against opinions either as most people here state and this is mine.

I think people need to relax a little about transfers.

I read someone say would be a miracle if Klopp wins the league with these players next year. Seriously like. We have a world class group of players. Yes Klopp and coaching staff is great. Yes our crowd is great. But our players are incredible. Can't see why some don't see that even after winning a champions league and league.

Yes, the league will be difficult next year. You never are gaurenteed the league or any trophy but we will be very well placed to challenge next season.

Let the coaching staff take are of transfers. I'll trust them to do what's right.

Also, there was a note about FSG needing to continue to support the club financially. Seriously, they are signing huge contracts with Mane, Salah, Firmino et al. Financial support is not all abotu transfers to a squad that is already almost maxed out to capacity. They need to be responsible too.

Davey Sulls

1.) 21 Jul 2020 16:23:11
Good post that Davey mate 👍.

2.) 21 Jul 2020 16:40:57
It's a cultural thing. We are so used to just falling short. We are so used to talking about what we need. Ya know, "we need a better keeper and dome one who can cross the ball. Managers do it even.

But we won thy he league this time. On the back of winning the European Cup. Also picked up some other tasty trophies.

What do we need? We need yo have a word with ourselves if we are anything other than completely satisfied with this team.

We gave world class in goal, def, mf and attack. Simetimrs we have wc on the bench. We have players like shaq and lallana who can't even get a game (a few cl medals between them I think) we have a striker om the bench who scores 2 past Barcelona on a cl semi final them scores in the final too.

And we have a world class coach. We were nonplussed when he signed the ox (I was chuffed tbh) and by the end of the season he was on evetyobes team sheet. People laughed when he signed Andy Robertson, two years later he's considered possibly Liverpool greatest ever lb. Considered one of, if not the best in the world. Turned gini from a good AM to an extremely good CM. Van djike from extremely good to world class.

We should be enjoying our successes while we ride this wave. They don't last forever. Any team can be improved. Its about consistency I guess, and we have that.

Thank you Hendo and Co. Absolutely love you. Amazing!

3.) 21 Jul 2020 17:25:54
Completely agree Robbie.

4.) 21 Jul 2020 17:53:53
Spot on, Davey and Robbie. I am not an FSG lover or hater BUT to even have or hear people saying things like "FSG need to back the manager. " is like, Seriously? Is this a sick joke?

FSG have backed every manager they have hired with 100's of millions and Klopp alone has spent over 400m since he has been here so not sure where all this crap is coming from. Then the response to this is normally, "Well, it was mostly from sales that Klopp was given most of that money. " and I'm like, "I can't believe I am hearing this. "

I seriously don't know what these people want anymore. As for some saying, "Klopp will be lucky to win the title next season with this squad". Again, Seriously? As Davey said, we should be enjoying our successes at long last BUT it seems that many of our fans are so used to wallowing in their own self-pity that they are unable to enjoy our own successes esp. becoming English Camps after 30 years and instead are scared of their own shadows. Sad.

5.) 21 Jul 2020 18:00:36
This 18/ 19, 19/ 20 team are a hard act to follow for any would be contenders let alone us.

6.) 21 Jul 2020 18:05:47
That's it exactly RM. People are looking at other teams signing big players and worrying. These teams NEED to buy big to get anywhere near us. And that includes man City. Let's get it right we sit 18 points ahead of them with 2 to play. We won't be in the mix next season? Good god, that is simply stupid.

7.) 21 Jul 2020 19:36:30
Robbie, there you go right there. You just hailed it. These teams are spending or will spend big right now cos they are trying to BE US.

WE are the ones they are trying to emulate and they are fully aware that after seeing LFC gain 190 points in nearly two seasons so far, they know it will be a humongous task for them to go find 95 or so points from heaven knows where in order to just be in the conversation as title challengers at the end of next season.

Robbie, do you realize that by this time or thereabouts tmrw, the whole football world and media alike, will have all their eyes at Anfield where LFC will be handed the PL trophy? Do you realize that a whole generation of LFC supporters worldwide (amounting to millions of LFC fans) will have their dream of seeing LFC win the league come true? I mean, just think about that for a second. IMO, it will be Epic esp. with the King himself Kenny Dalglish doing the trophy presentation. Legendary does not begin to explain what we are about to witness in the next 24 hours or so.

Now we could all look forward to something this epic come tmrw OR we could keep being subjected to the very foolishness and stupidity you just mentioned at the end of your post from "fans" who seem to be used to having losers' mentality and wallowing in self pity that they can't even enjoy the enormous victories right in front of their noses. Good Grief!

8.) 21 Jul 2020 19:55:13
Nice one Red Meister. Tears in my eyes mate.

9.) 22 Jul 2020 05:35:47
Just look at recent history where we freaked out over our rivals signing the players we were clamouring for to be the difference in strengthening. Pepe, ceballos, Sessegnon, De ligt, fekir, zaha we all thought would be the improvement yet none of those has made other clubs better while we've played at a superior level than they have. Let's not get concerned by the actual little amount of players our rivals have to date bought in if klopp and co don't even rate them as important enough to pass up on.

05 May 2020 19:06:39
Hi ed001, one player I ever saw you asked your opinion on was patrick Berger. Used to enjoy watching him. He'll of a shot on him.

{Ed001's Note - yeah but I can't talk about him if me ma is about or she gets over excited!}

True. Good looking fella.

{Ed001's Note - aye, good player too. Worked hard and loves the club. Nice to get players like that who it actually matters to.}

2.) 05 May 2020 23:34:29
I remember being within spitting distance of paddy when he twisted his knee trying to block a Viduka shot, in the game when he scored 4 against us. You could see straight away it was a bad injury, such a shame. Mark Viduka, there's a player who at his best I think could have played for pretty much any team in Europe. Kewell could turn it on from time to time, and Cahill was another great Aus player, but Viduka was the best Aussie I've seen.

3.) 06 May 2020 00:29:29
if only viduka had had cahill's drive.

4.) 06 May 2020 09:30:03
Patrick Berger, loved him in the 90's! classy left peg. brittle knees! rough with the smooth. i was watching goals fromm 990 season (i think) titi Camara looked way better than i remember him. scored a hatfull some belters too.

{Ed001's Note - I liked Titi, he had some stuff, such as his dad's death, which seemed to knock him for six mentally and he never recovered. Completely understandable as we never had anything in place to help players through life itself in those days.}

5.) 06 May 2020 16:59:21
Knew Berger when he played at Dortmund and was brilliant. Played only one season there in 95/ 96 after signing from Slavia Prague and after being one of the stars of Euro 96, I was chuffed to bits when he signed for us. brilliant footballer.

As for Titi, brilliant player and one of the rare players who was built like a tank BUT was lightning quick with pace to burn. 'Hope he's doing well now.

Burkeyboy
Did you not see Craig Johnston play? The headless chicken! He has to be the most successful Aussie in the League, also songwriter and maker of a great boot 😀. Boy that man was talented.

7.) 06 May 2020 19:38:44
IR, Craig Johnston was one of my fav. LFC players. Brilliant footballer (with that flowing hair he had on back then) and a top bloke, by some accounts.

8.) 06 May 2020 23:30:19
Yep, saw Johnson play in the flesh and loved him. But, I don't think, in his position, he'd have been in high demand across Europe, but if Viduka stayed fit I think he could have played anywhere.

Man, broke character to be clear on an important issue.

Fair play to him

Honestly, imo if you are betting on transfers you got a gambling addiction. Where's the fun in it.

Ed001, if you are about. What are your thoughts on jamal Lewis. Money aside, do you think he is a good option ability wise for lb cover.

Davey Sulls

{Ed001's Note - always looks decent whenever I see him play, one of the better options if you ask me.}

He s finally getting a run of games together. He hasn't been terrible. YES he needs some work defensively but he's done a lot of good things on the ball and has done some really really good pressing things. He should be fine as long as he stays fit and continues to work hard at is faults. Like all players in the squad.

If he can stay clear of injuries and works hard I have every faith he 'll be a top player for us.

Injuries are my biggest fear with him. Ability wise he is very talented. He just needs more time on the training ground and less time in the treatment room.

We've had this conversation recently. I completely agree with Hoever on this one. I definitely see his future as a right back and a top one at that. I really hope he gets opportunities there.

I personally would not move Trent from RB.
He is an unreal weapon from there and not sure he makes our midfield just yet.

Hi MarkP, I watch 2 games of Liverpool U23s this season so you may be a far better judge.

I personally though see Hoever as a RB. I do wish he would get some chances there. His technical ability is superior for me. He can ping a cross field ball and his striking of a ball is excellent. I think if he comitted to RB he would prove better going forward and in defence from what I've seen is better. I just think he will be a better player given chances at RB. I personally don't see Ki Jana as a CB. You might be proven right over time and Klopp obviously agrees with you with regards Williams :)

I just think I know more than you and klopp :)

Might be just me but am I the only one that prefers ki jana hoever to neco Williams?

I prefer hoever as a rb to cb too and think he will end up being better than Williams. Just hope he also gets more chances to prove himself.

I think finishing and shooting is the main thing he needs to develop. Everything else he seems vastly ahead of his age group although he of course needs to continue strengthening his strengths also. Strong finishing and he will become a star. sterling couldn't finish at his age also. Not dissing the kid but from the games I saw he is quite erratic in front of goal. He s so young. Plenty of time.
