Jiri pavlenka ed?

It does not seem plausible to me that he would sit on the bench.

Seems like a non runner.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - Last year Jiri Pavlenka was one of the options to Alisson as I recall but I am not aware of any return form him right now. Are you sure this isn't old news of some type?

1.) 31 May 2019 16:09:35
I can confirm he pulled out of the 5:30pm at aintree.

2.) 01 Jun 2019 07:31:54
Probably someone like Reina or David Marshall look likely. Klopp won't spend anything more than a negligible amount on a second choice GK.

31 Aug 2018 11:24:43
Hi Ed002, With Lyon in the market for a striker, could you see them bidding for Origi? Or are they locked on Dembele. Seems Celtic are playing hardball over him.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - No, they have not shown any interest in Origi Davey.}

1.) 31 Aug 2018 13:20:46
Thanks Ed. Appreciated.

08 Aug 2018 14:15:18
I see rumours of Crystal Palace bidding for Origi. Around 15M.

Sounds plausible.

Davey Sulls

1.) 08 Aug 2018 15:31:19
Plausible but I'd guess we want more. Over 20 probably. Rightly in my opinion.

{Ed0333's Note - 20 mill for origi. We talking money or peanut M&M’s? If we get 20 million for origi I’ll be Ed’s 001’s bitch for the season.

2.) 08 Aug 2018 16:19:54
Not even in a world were Richarlson is 50M ed?

{Ed0333's Note - to my knowledge Richarlison is circa 35 million the rest is add ons. No mate even in a word where Troy Deeney was valued at 30 million once upon a time Divock Origi is not 20 million. If Edwards gets that amount he deserves a statue at Anfield.

3.) 08 Aug 2018 16:22:33
Think they should cut their losses and accept all reasonable offers for them just to get shut.

4.) 08 Aug 2018 16:31:52
We bought him at around 10mil plus the fees we got for loaning him back for one year. Anything above that should be acceptable, given that he never really made it to the first team.

5.) 08 Aug 2018 18:14:08
I agree with Ed’s 20m is silly. He hasn’t proven himself and people are not paying for his potential they are paying for the player he is now. Which in my opinion is no more than 15m.

6.) 08 Aug 2018 18:49:56
Richarlison is £35m plus addons realting to how well Everton do in the future. In other words, £35m.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 19:01:26
He's tall, quick, strong, premier league experienced.

Minimum of 20, if they want him now then they might just have to pay a little more aswel.

8.) 08 Aug 2018 19:06:14
You missed out a key factor. He can't finish! Kinda key for a Striker in the Prem.

9.) 08 Aug 2018 19:11:33
£15M is a reasonable fee for Origi, If I remember correctly Wolfsburg paid £6M loan fee for him last year, so we can pretend the fee is £20M+.

10.) 08 Aug 2018 19:21:29
Epicpotato
That comment, hahahaha.

{Ed025's Note - not funny one little bit imo..

11.) 08 Aug 2018 19:37:21
It'd be a shame to see Origi go because I always believed he'd break through but if he does go fingers crossed he can crack on and do well for himself/ new team. I agree with you ra, any profit on what we paid would be a good deal now I think.

12.) 08 Aug 2018 21:49:51
He's not really impressed or performed at the required level or consistently, either for us or away on loan. I wish the lad well but for his sake, and ours, it's better he leaves whatever the price may be.

13.) 08 Aug 2018 22:04:27
Origi has played 2 full seasons in the Prem as 2nd/ 3rd choice striker and has scored double figures both times.
The top scorer last season outside the top 6 scored 12 goals.
Origi as the main striker in a decent team will score that and that why he's worth £20mil in this market.

14.) 08 Aug 2018 22:13:48
Agree epic that other 15 m is pretty safe for Everton.

15.) 08 Aug 2018 23:01:30
I’m a World where Richarlison is £35m Origi should be worth £50m of anyone’s money. He will be a great striker for someone one day. Richarlison is just not very good.
I’ll never understand why Everton paid so much for Richarlison when Calvert Lewin it’s actually a better player. Is it because he’s Brazilian? Yet more gross mismanagement from the toffees that will see them relegated eventually. You mark my words.

16.) 08 Aug 2018 20:07:09
Sorry Ed025. Was just trying to lighten the mood a little.

{Ed025's Note - thats fine EP, if we cant give each other a bit of stick now and again then whats the point?, keep it coming mate..

17.) 08 Aug 2018 16:34:48
Ed033 we as a club seem to always over price our fringe players mate. Do you no why?

It's been said for weeks that we will be busy with outgoings but here we are with one day to go and still have so many players that will clearly get limited playing time.

The likes of

Mignolet Clyne Origi Ings Grujic amongst otherso still on our books swelling the squad and wage bill just doesn't make much sense to me.

{Ed0333's Note - to be honest mate I think it’s a case of being shafted continuously and the club have had enough. We always seemed to be Aldi or Lidl, other clubs knew they could always get a bargain from us and it seems someone up top has said enough is enough, which I wholeheartedly agree with. I think the high valuations started with the nippy Aussie fella whose name I can’t remember and Ibe. We got over market value for both in my opinion and it set a trend. There will be times that we’ll still let a player go cheap but I think that’ll be the exception rather than the norm. The players you mention will all be gone by the end of the month bar Clyne I think.

18.) 09 Aug 2018 01:10:34
Kloppbanger we can still sell players to european clubs for the next three weeks so its not one day to go.

19.) 09 Aug 2018 06:54:30
What if a European clubs wants to buy a premier league player after our window shuts, Can they offer cash plus player? Or can players only leave our shores in this strange early closing malarkey?

{Ed001's Note - can only leave.}

20.) 09 Aug 2018 01:03:10
That's a great point Ed333.

{Ed0333's Note - why thankyou Mr Salah and I thought of it all by myself 😂

Looking through the posts I have come to this:

Cabellos: definitely of interest
Navas: possible
Meyer: possible
Draxler: possible
Lemar: Of interest but not at the price quoted. Unlikely.

Would there be any further names I could check out that Liverpool have shown some interest in?

Davey Sulls

1.) 21 Apr 2018 01:51:17
We've looked at right-backs but I don't think we've settled on one target or anything yet. Might be wrong and if so, please correct me eds.

2.) 21 Apr 2018 00:57:35
My post should have started Hi ed002 😀 fishing for one of those awesome summaries you did for Man u and arsenal fans. Or st least one or two more names to do some research on.

{Ed002's Note - Apologies Davey, I did not see your post. I am not sure that there is anything new right now. I have also explained before about options such as Alisson and Draxler. I had planned on a Sharkopod for the Liverpool page but time is tight, so I will try and get something done during the week.}

3.) 21 Apr 2018 07:37:53
Nice one edd 2 looking forward to it.

4.) 21 Apr 2018 08:11:02

5.) 21 Apr 2018 09:27:03
Awesome Ed. Look forward to it always. Appreciate it.

6.) 21 Apr 2018 11:01:52
Jorginho - Definite interest.

7.) 21 Apr 2018 11:21:52
There is no sweeter feeling in the world than seeing a Sharkopod for Liverpool appear on the site. Have to admit, first time I was like, “this ed2 is just having a laugh” now I love the adverts and music almost as much as the priceless information. You are a total legend Ed002. whenever you get around to it, you’ll be making our month.

Is ALISSON suspended for 3 games or one? I thought professional foul reds were one game.

Davey Sulls

1.) 30 Nov 2019 19:39:52
I believe its one, is it 3 really?

{Ed002's Note - Unless it is violent or endangering it is a single game.}

2.) 30 Nov 2019 21:44:54
By Ed's comment, it may just be for one game, IMO.

Just a quick post on James Milner.

Just saw his post that Mane was reacting to him not coming on. :)

He moved seats to get close to Mane a calm him down a bit even though he would have been disappointed himself.

The way he wins the Beep test every single preseason.

The way he conducts himself off the pitch.

The way he brings humour to the squad at the right times and also as Klopp mentions gives important x rated motivational speeches.

WHAT A LEADER WE HAVE IN OUR SQUAD!

Could see Milner becoming a top manager should he choose that route.

Davey Sulls

1.) 02 Sep 2019 15:05:17
I was just going to post about this, just shows that the players have moved on from it, therefore the press and the fans should too.

I think he would make a cracking coach if that's the path he chooses when he retires, although the way millie is going that won't be for another 20 years!

2.) 02 Sep 2019 15:03:01
He has many a quality that bloke, and i for one will be gutted when he leaves our team. He's a great player that can play anywhere and he has been a model professional from day one. We've been lucky to have him.

3.) 02 Sep 2019 16:39:25
I think he is the number one leader in the squad. Klopp said Milner is the one who gives the talks before the really big games.

4.) 02 Sep 2019 18:45:51
I won't be surprised if Milner retires at LFC and becomes part of the backroom staff right after esp. if Klopp were to leave in 2022 after his contract expires.

5.) 02 Sep 2019 20:28:40
I certainly wouldn't mind that happening Redwolf. Or he can go over to Leeds and then come back after a year or so. He could do well with youth development or even assist the manager. If Arteta can do it with Guardiola, I don't see why Milner can't.

6.) 02 Sep 2019 21:03:00
I see him being a good coach but I don't see him as elite level manager potential. He seems too nice a guy.

Of course I am looking at him from the outside without knowing him personally.

7.) 02 Sep 2019 22:04:18
X rated motivational speeches?

Am I reading it wrong?

😂😂.

My take on the transfer business of the top 6 Premier League teams

09 Aug 2019 13:17:08
{Ed's Note - Davey Sulls has posted a new article entitled, My take on the transfer business of the top 6 Premier League teams

Davey Sulls

1.) 09 Aug 2019 13:45:13
Nice summary, I agree with a lot of that.
I do believe you are overrating Chelsea, however. Hazard was/ is an elite footballer, whose very presence on the pitch compels most opponents to significantly adapt their game plans, especially their attacking play. I see it as similar to how we lost Suarez in a way (I’m not comparing them as footballers), teams went for us and we had far less resistance to their play.
I fully agree on Rodri, however. To me, he is the kind of signing that signifies the full Pep-ization of a team, and actually ends up making them worse. Kompany will be a much bigger miss than the usual clowns in the media have suggested.

2.) 09 Aug 2019 14:02:23
I think Chelsea will find a new way of being a dangerous side. Other players will step up. The attack still has Willian, Pulisic, Odoi, Pedro, Giroud, Bathsyui, Mount etc. It's enough to be dangerous and score goals.

In other areas they are superior to both Man United and Arsenal and remember that is the comparison here (not to the top 3). They just seem a far more complete squad to me even without Hazard than the other 2.

3.) 09 Aug 2019 14:35:39
Nice read that Davey. I’m not sure on the Kompany part as he featured in less than half of City’s games last season and they seemed to still manage without him so there must be leaders in the team. Sometimes a leader doesn’t have to be vocal but they lead from the front with their performance and grab the game by the scruff of its neck. I think Bobby and Mane do that for us and are totally under valued as leaders. Either way I think this season could be the most exciting one for a very long time with it being extremely close. I don’t believe the league will be getting won by 90+ points this season.

4.) 09 Aug 2019 14:41:11
I was going to do one of these as well but I think you've summed up it pretty well top be honest Davey. I think Spurs look very balanced but it is hard to look past City when you see the sheer quality, not to mention, monetary value they have from the bench. I don't think anyone can get near then in that respect but losing Kompany is significant - he was a talisman and a leader, both on and off the pitch, and they haven't replaced him at all. In the easier games it won't matter at all but, when their backs are against the wall, it might well see them crumble - time will tell.

5.) 09 Aug 2019 14:55:34
Hi jk23, I think seano gave the answer I was about to give. Most games his loss won't matter but in tighter games he will be a loss. The half of the games he did play was the second half when the went on run. The defence was suspect without him. And it wasnt his talent as much as his leadership and presence at the back that they missed when he didn't play. If it's a dog fight again I take stones and rodri rather than kompany and fernandinho.

6.) 09 Aug 2019 15:09:48
Davey they didn’t fold last week when we put the pressure on them and I know we missed numerous chances but the history books won’t show that. They will show City won it. However I hope you’re right and it does affect City as they are some side. But there again so are we.

7.) 09 Aug 2019 16:19:24
City are a great side jk. No arguments there. I'm just saying that in central defence area, they were stronger last year. Perhaps that might cost them some points. Not a lot. Just some.

8.) 09 Aug 2019 16:34:36
UTD may have added the most expensive defender ever, paid a whopping amount for Wan-Bissaka and signed James but cannot them getting out of the rut they are in. Lukaku got them 12 goals last season and was their 2nd highest scorer.

Pogba could still leave as Europe's transfer window is still open. Pogba was their highest scorer. I do not believe they have enough in the tank to improve on last season. They also do not have a player capable of getting them 20+ a season. I can see them having major problems this season.

Out of all the teams mentioned I think Arsenal will make the biggest improvement. Spurs are still reliant on Kane performing up top but they will be up there come the end of the season.

9.) 09 Aug 2019 17:12:14
Jk23, City's defence is very suspect. Their midfield is top notch though.

Do not see them having it as easy as last season.

Re the Charity shield, Salah had more shots than the whole of the City team. Salah on any other day would have scored 3.

We lost the match on penalties, you ain't going to have the benifit of winning matches in the League on penalties.

And we were without Mane. Just think if he had played, and we actually played really well without him.

10.) 09 Aug 2019 17:29:44
Max I agree mate that their defence is suspect and is their weakest area. I also believe that was still the same case when Kompany was in the team. Their midfield protects them a lot as it’s world class at controlling games. I also think Silva, KDB, Fernandinho, Aguero and even Sterling now are leaders for them more from their performances rather than vocally. We have plenty of leaders in our team mind. This isn’t me bad mouthing our team but I think City deserve an honest opinion on them.

11.) 09 Aug 2019 17:44:45
I don't understand why many think City loosing Kompany is significant . I think its wishful thinking more than anything else . He played less than 15 games last year . Another referee and he should've been sent off against us and cost them a penalty in another game . he was very slow and disrupted their back line . great player and great leader but I think they can cope with out him . As for the charity shield, Laporte their best defender did n't play and yes Salah had more shots than the whole of City attack . but he did n't score but he was n't allowed the right angle, and when his header was clear on goal, their weakest defender came out with an amazing goal line clearance . that's determination not to loose .

As for the rest of top 6, I do expect Arsenal to be up there in the top 4 and can see Leicester and Everton challenging the likes of united and Chelsea . I also expect both united and Chelsea to finish the season with a different manager.

12.) 09 Aug 2019 17:54:09
I do not see Pep stickinging around at City if they cannot win the CL. Same happened at Bayern and believe this season Pep will be found out.

13.) 09 Aug 2019 18:06:38
I do not see Pep stickinging around at City if they cannot win the CL. Same happened at Bayern and believe this season Pep will be found out.
=========================
And Klopp have a history of walking out when the pressure gets too much . so pointless argument really .
I don't understand why most of you obsessed with hoping things go wrong with other teams . Have trust in our own 11, they earn it . very frustrating . I used to argue with Ed002 defending the liverpool supporters . but he is right most of you are beyond fickle.

{Ed025's Note - i have been saying it for years roy.. :)

14.) 09 Aug 2019 18:14:21
Pep won the CL at Barcelona and Still left. If I had to pick a manager for Liverpool though between Pep and Klopp I would choose Klopp every time. But that doesn’t mean i can’t give others a little bit of credit where it’s deserved.

15.) 09 Aug 2019 18:17:14
Beyond fickle. I was not putting bad vibes on City that Pep may pack his bags, could just be the truth when looking at his time at Bayern.

Klopp had to build Dortmund from scratch. He was very succesfull there.

Made us Champions of Europe after having to rebuild the squad Rodgers left for him.

There is a very big difference when it comes to Klopp taking over LFC and Pep taking over City. Pep did not have to rebuild.

16.) 09 Aug 2019 19:01:25
I was in no way putting down city. I think they are a fantastic side and easily capable of making it 3 in a row. I was assessing their transfer window whereby they did not replace Kompany. That is fact. Some will think Kompany was coming to an end anyway. I personally thought he galvanised the team and played more regularly during the winning run. I don't think it was coincidence. His leadership will be missed and otamendi and stones have question marks over them. I think they've weakened in this area. Everywhere else they are as strong as ever and will be the team to beat.

05 Jun 2019 00:31:54
Hi Ed002, from your summary I see you mentioned that Liverpool would look to source a lw. I think this makes a lot of sense as cover.

Brandt would have been ideal.

Any idea of some possible choices liverpool may be interested in that are not replacements for mane, Salah, firmino.

Just so I can check them out for some fun 😀

Summary was mostly top 3 replacements and I don't like that idea😀.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - That is not what I said.}

1.) 05 Jun 2019 08:23:11
ED002,

I believe you mentioned 'left sided player' if I'm not mistaken?

Tommy T.

{Ed002's Note - Right - midfield.}

2.) 05 Jun 2019 09:14:09
Well you got that we are looking at a “player” at least.

06 May 2019 23:12:57
On a positive note we might get to see rhian brewster play tomorrow.

I would love him to start but even 20 mins would do me. For me this lad is going to be really special.

Hope he bangs in the 7th 😀.

2.) 07 May 2019 10:26:01
Barca know we’re struggling with injuries.
They will be targeting the strikers so I wouldn’t start Brewster.
I’d start Big Div. They won’t bully him.
He can knock them about a bit, then bring Brewster on when they’re physically struggling.

I thought Cornet was not worth it either but the more I research him the more I start to see it. He is a bit rash in his decision making but his running in behind the defence is excellent. I think he could be a rough diamond.

Trees and kiddies playing. Hilarious and true.

Its like watching dream home when they do the house design. Outside the window is a lovely grass field yet in reality they are smack bang in the middle of a concrete jungle.

They should at least plant the trees.

I think the penalty was fair as there was an easy pass on to lallana for an easy goal. As mane was about to play it albrightin catches him delaying the opportunity to pass until the opportunity was gone. Mane realizes pass is no longer on and goes down. Watch the angles again. I think there's a great chance we score if he doesn't get caught by albrighton.

If the was not a goal chance on then that would be a soft penalty for me but it prevented a big goal chance.

He is very talented but he needs to work on his finishing. the first crossbar was a fairly bad miss. It can happen but he seems to have a few near misses from the games I've seen. Needs to work on it.

I think this is a big improvement on his reserve games. I think he needs to work on this also. He needs to give the same work rate every game regardless of opposition.

He is only 16 though.

Davey Sulls

{Ed025's Note - a bit harsh there davey, at least he got in the positions to score and was damn unlucky i would say mate..

"nothing short of capable" :)

He's definitely stepped up since his supposed higher intensity training during the international break. I think he's been excellent since international break. Obviously Alisson is a step up again but I'm starting to get really comfortable with Adrian which I was never able to with Mignolet and Karius.

Hi Ed001,

How do you think Adrian is getting on?

Davey Sulls

{Ed001's Note - he has been excellent, not Alisson-level excellent obviously, but number 2 keeper level excellent. He doesn't have the same range of passing or come off his line as quickly or as far, but he is a number 2 after all and you don't expect them to be as good as the first choice. Certainly a step up on the first choices we have had in recent years before Alisson arrived.}
