Hi Eds. Have we bid for Rodrigo (sp) from Real Madrid? Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - there is certainly interest as I have explained.}
1.) 17 May 2024 09:15:02
Surely it can’t happen!
I mean we’re a big club.
But it’s Real Madrid and he seems happy there.
Do you know if he would be open to a move here Ed?
{Ed002's Note - Rodrygo Goes (F/S) Real Madrid have no interest in selling but PSG did ask for him as part of a deal for Mbappe before he let his contract run down. Many Liverpool fans think there is some sort of pre-contract to join them, but of course there isn't. He agreed a new contract at Real Madrid and won't be moving anytime soon unless something like €120M offer is made or he could perhaps be offered to Liverpool in an exchange for Alexander Arnold which Real Madrid maybe open to - as it will bring in some cash as well. Manchester United sent scouts. There will always be interest in him and with Mbappe arriving he may need to make his way back to the RW position - although the wide positions are areas where Real Madrid want more depth. Will likely stay.}
2.) 17 May 2024 10:42:54
Ed002 do you know if Liverpool have a first choice to replace Salah? Assumed it was Sane but I’d also assume that will change with Klopp leaving.
Neto, Summerville and Olmo getting the most noise in the media but they’re not enthralling options.
Yesterday I did see a few reports of Amoura who you have mentioned, but I guess he’d be more likely to replace Diaz or Nunez.
{Ed002's Note - Firstly, Olmo would not be a Salah replacement. I don't know who will now become first choice but the options you mention do have merit.
Dani Olmo (AM/W) Signed a new contract but could still be sold this summer if a significant offer were to be made. Atletico, Spurs, Manchester City and Barcelona were interested, although Barcelona have preferred options and need to sell to buy or horse trade - they may be the only interested side left. Chelsea considered him as a Mason Mount replacement last summer but have preferred options now. Manchester United or Liverpool may offer a wildcard option. Bayern Munich interest has gone.
Crysencio Summerville (RW/LW) Leeds have no interest in selling but his agent is looking for a step up and speaking with clubs about him - he has certainly approached Chelsea and Spurs and I suspect others. Bayer Leverkusen have spoken directly with Leeds. Agent is close to Aston Villa and the City Football Group. Any move will likely depend on promotion being gained or not. Leeds will look for a new contract. I am not aware of Liverpool making any approach yet but I understand Slot is a fan of the youngster from advice given to him by Sipke Hulshoff who knows him well. If he were to replace Salah, there has to be an element of risk but he may become first choice.
Pedro Neto (RW/LW) Versatile and looking to move on. Agent has been approached by Manchester United, who will need an Antony replacement, and Arsenal. Agent has also approached Liverpool who will likely need a replacement for Salah - and Neto fits the bill of a lift footed RW although is not first choice for Klopp, he could may become so once Klopp has gone. It is unclear why Arsenal are so keen and they clearly have other priorities, but they are. Juventus fear losing young left-footed RW in Matias Soule and may look to Neto. Spurs are another side who may look to Neto but a move seems unlikely - as does a move to Newcastle who are a less attractive option. Prior interest of Manchester City has gone with the emergance of Phil Foden. Maybe wanted in the Middle East which would push his value up. I would expect Wolves to now look for perhaps more than £50M for him but it would likely take the desire of the player to move.
I would also not discount Bakayoko.
Johan Bakayoko (RW) Cost effective solution for PSG but may stuggle to be a starter so will not be interested in a move just to be cover. Liverpool have him on the list of potential Salah replacements but have not made any approach to PSV at this time - but he is certainly an option. Spurs and Brentford offer realistic options. Chelsea and Manchester City have sent scouts but have preferred options. Borussia Dortmund see him as an option to Sancho.
Out of these, I think Summerville could possibly be the best option to replace Salah's goals.}
3.) 17 May 2024 10:59:59
Thanks Ed!
4.) 17 May 2024 12:47:14
Ed002, really appreciate your time!
{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}
5.) 17 May 2024 13:11:43
Edd002 do you know if trent is interested in going to Madrid?
{Ed002's Note - I really have no idea. Sorry.}
6.) 17 May 2024 14:53:08
Wow Mizer. You asked the same question twice on two separate threads. You must really want Trent gone. With fans like this, who needs enemies eh?
7.) 17 May 2024 17:21:08
Neto and Olmo are both sick notes with no end product. We’d be daft to even consider that pair.
{Ed025's Note - you are getting very cynical in your old age Victor, your last name is not Meldrew is it mate?.. :)
8.) 17 May 2024 18:39:26
Just calling it as it is Ed025. It’d be like we’d learnt nothing from signing Thiago.
{Ed025's Note - i know that mate.. :)
15 Apr 2024 13:14:09
I've seen Nico Kovac mentioned ed as manager. surely no truth?
{Ed002's Note - Niko Kovac (C) Another coach who is currently available after being sacked by Wolfburg - but has a so-so record and he sould be a surprising choice for Liverpool.}
1.) 15 Apr 2024 19:34:45
Surprising would be the understatement of the year. we all know who’s replacing Klopp.
2.) 15 Apr 2024 19:55:34
I don’t @Acered - who is it?
3.) 15 Apr 2024 20:48:27
It’s obviously Sam Allardyce wdw ??.
4.) 16 Apr 2024 01:01:24
Go away niko.
5.) 16 Apr 2024 06:52:52
I’d hope we’re not stupid enough to give him the job after he’s been sacked from his last three managerial positions. If there’s any truth in us even having considered him then we must be near the bottom of the barrel.
6.) 16 Apr 2024 16:55:43
WDW Amorim.
7.) 16 Apr 2024 19:15:12
The most likely candidates are Bozo Texino, Snoogy Doogie, Bob McKnob, Dick Buttkiss and Dick Riccabono.
8.) 16 Apr 2024 23:57:05
Ah, thanks @Acered, to be honest I’m surprised I missed the club’s announcement.
9.) 17 Apr 2024 19:53:25
WDW here’s a deal for you if Amorim is Liverpool manager next season you donate £100 to a children’s charity of my choice and if Amorim isn’t Liverpools manager next season I will donate £200 to a children’s charity of your choice.
10.) 17 Apr 2024 23:26:31
Ah, the old ‘put your money where your mouth’ is thing eh? Haven’t heard that since I was about 10.
Of course I’m not going to put a bet on it @Acered, Amorim might very well be our next manager.
The point is you said everybody knows when what you meant is ‘what I suspect’. I’ll be happy to hear it if and when the club announce it but 10 year old ITKs don’t do it for me.
11.) 18 Apr 2024 00:33:05
Bozo Texino would be a radical choice.
I’m not into Dick Buttkiss or Snoogey Doogie and I don’t think Dick Riccabono speaks good enough English.
Bozo Tex would get my vote.
09 Jan 2024 07:23:12
Hi ed2, it looks like full are no longer signing andre. Do you think we may still be keen or has that ship sailed? Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - It went a while ago.}
09 Dec 2023 05:45:41
Hi ed. I hope you are keeping well? Do you think Maylen is an option? I see we were linked but now seems to to involved in swap deal talk with sancho. Also, do you think we will try for a cb? Klopp has Saif no but he does tend to do that and then we sign someone or at least try. Thanks in advance.
{Ed002's Note - No I doubt Liverpool will shift attention to Malen. The problem with January is that players may not be available as clubs have not lined up replacements. If the right CB were to be available than I suspect Liverpool could look to do something but buying for the sake of it seems unlikely.}
1.) 09 Dec 2023 20:28:22
D S academy player another player Chelsea let go smashing Man U today ?.
2.) 09 Dec 2023 20:28:30
Hi, if poss is any posters or eds able to give a Jan transfer breakdown over the past 10 years perhaps? ?✌.
3.) 09 Dec 2023 18:24:49
Thanks ed. Do you think we will end up with andre? and not peter hopefully!
{Ed002's Note - It is possible but there is a lot of interest in him and the person dealing with discussions with his club seems to have miffed Fluminense.}
4.) 10 Dec 2023 11:05:14
Thanks Ed. How have they miffed them? Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - It is recoverable.}
01 Sep 2023 12:43:09
Official bid made for Salah and rejected last night. £100 million with add ons up to £150 million. That's one leg.
1.) 01 Sep 2023 12:51:35
At what point do we say yes? If it starts hitting close to 200m surely it’s just stupid to reject the bid, irrelevant of if it ends the prospects of a title challenge this season (which probably wasn’t going to happen anyway) . We’d still be pretty likely to get CL this season without Salah, whether through top 4 (maybe even top 5) or winning EL.
2.) 01 Sep 2023 12:52:32
Klopp has said all along that Salah is not for sale and that’s where it end I believe. Only way Salah goes is if he puts in a transfer request which ain’t going to happen on or after deadline line.
3.) 01 Sep 2023 12:53:28
Ed002 - do you think Liverpool will be able to resist an even higher offer than this? I doubt we'd get anywhere this number next summer but too late in the day to sell now.
{Ed002's Note - I thiink everything will be in the hands of the player and his representative either way. The huge issue is that there is no time to replace him with a high-end solution that would suit Klopp et al, and jumping in for Bakayoko or similar is likely high risk.}
4.) 01 Sep 2023 12:56:22
No chance. Klopp will walk if Salah is sold. Not happening, not even for 200 million.
5.) 01 Sep 2023 12:57:46
Next summer definitely happening. Apparently the guy for PSV who turned Brentford down is being lined up for next summer. how true, no idea.
6.) 01 Sep 2023 12:58:49
Supposedly he's been offered 1.5 Million per week. That's 78 million per year for 3 years. What do you think he's going to think? ?.
7.) 01 Sep 2023 13:00:12
But we were told that the Saudis were only doing this as a PR stunt for their league.
8.) 01 Sep 2023 13:05:12
If they’re happy to spend that money now then they’ll be happy to wait until Jan/ next summer when we have adequate time to find a replacement. It’d be mad to let him go with just hours left of the window.
9.) 01 Sep 2023 13:28:59
I don't trust whoever funds Liverpool's transfers with the money anymore. The replacements will be just the same whether we get 300 million now or 50 million next year.
So I'm hoping he stays for this year and we push into those champions league spots this year and we part ways next year for a decent fee.
10.) 01 Sep 2023 13:34:14
I’m sure Liverpool would sell him to the Arabs next summer for £120 million . And I’d be happy with that .
But this season he needs to knuckle down and do his best for the Club that revived his career and for the fans that love him .
11.) 01 Sep 2023 13:13:22
If they came in at £200 million now this window, i'd let him go. He's going next summer either way, i can guarantee that. And when he goes next year, he'd probably only go for about £70 mil tops. Cash in now if the price is right.
12.) 01 Sep 2023 13:13:24
I can't help but wonder where the Saudis are getting all this enthusiasm from.
I mean, it wasn't long ago when Salah's agent made it crystal clear that Salah is 100% committed to Liverpool, and he's not going anywhere.
Why doesn't Salah just step up and publicly declare his loyalty to the club, much like what Modric and Thiago have done?
What do you guys think?
{Ed002's Note - I explained what his agent was up to.}
13.) 01 Sep 2023 13:20:34
Why did they needed feel to wait for the last day of the English transfer window to bid if they had. Chucked in a 150-200m a few weeks ago would probably say take it and let spend the money but now it’s to late to get any big deals done.
14.) 01 Sep 2023 13:24:27
Can’t imagine Liverpool will want to sell for any price.
Are we expected to play Doak on the right wing all season?
15.) 01 Sep 2023 13:25:37
Salah will move, FSG will not turn down 150mil + question is who will they bring in to replace if anyone before 11pm tonight.
Wouldn't be surprised if not a salah replacement but a centre half and another midfielder brought in. If Salah moves on.
16.) 01 Sep 2023 13:26:01
Hi Ed- on the note of a high end replacement, I am guessing it would be too late for someone like Chiesa who we have shown past interest in and even overpaying for someone else mentioned like Lindstrom or Bakayoko leave us taking a massive risk.
{Ed002's Note - It is certainly too late for Lindstrom and I doubt Chiesa is the answer. Bakayoko could yet be sold today.}
17.) 01 Sep 2023 13:26:52
Klopp will have someone in mind should they come in with 150-2mill offer. Too good to turn down really. Or perhaps wait till next transfer window.
18.) 01 Sep 2023 13:42:55
MartyMcfly11 is spot on. So let's just enjoy watching one of the best players to wear our shirt in his last season before he (probably) leaves for Saudi.
19.) 01 Sep 2023 14:00:21
It's just going to hang over the club now. If we reject. It's going to be headlines like, "another bid incoming in Jan". Nerves shattered and I know how good Mo is but we just don't need it.
He's never come out and stated his desire to stay. For the past few years it's felt like we are going window to window with him. Ed002 has said for probably the past 3 years his agent Hawkes him around. And as amazing as he is. We gave me him his shot back in the prem. We took a leap of faith on a failed premier league player. Who had also gone to Chelsea over us. So, there's got to be more thanks here than we get. We didn't sign a 40 goal a season winger. Klopp gave him the platform to become one.
I'd take the hit. Promote elliot. Bank the 150 mil and see how we go.
Like spurs with Kane. Feels time. Im Sick of all the noise. Just want klopp and Co to be left alone to do what they need to do.
Sorry bit of a rant. I love mo and obviously don't want him to go anywhere and know it'll be a worse loss than we expect but none of this is healthy.
Being honest it just doesn't happen with other teams like this. You don't see any city players linked away day after day after day.
Take the 150 mil and release 400k a week wages. Maybe time to move on. For all our sakes.
In reality mos gone within 12 months anyway. Goes into his final year next summer, he won't be going on a free.
New team, new hero's and the same King Klopp.
20.) 01 Sep 2023 14:00:34
I know the Saudi leagues transfer window shuts next week, so they have the same time frame in January as premiership?
Could it be likely they come back at start of Jan when we have more time to replace Salah.
He’s an amazing player very disrespected by rival fans but £150million is crazy money to turn down.
{Ed002's Note - They have the same January window.}
21.) 01 Sep 2023 14:34:58
Every player has a price - every player is “for sale”.
22.) 01 Sep 2023 14:38:36
If Salah wants to go, persuade him to stay until January and make a quiet bid to tie up his replacement before news leaks and prices rocket?
{Ed002's Note - ! "quiet bid" eh.}
23.) 01 Sep 2023 15:14:18
Ed002 I think they’re known as ‘silent auctions’ ?.

RIP ED2. ED1, How old was ed2? Thanks for all your contributions ed2. It's a sad day.
{Ed001's Note - he was in his mid-60s Marty.}
04 Mar 2024 15:40:37
Is salah back in training ed?
{Ed001's Note - I think so. He is supposed to be back ready to play in a week.}
1.) 04 Mar 2024 15:46:40
Winner Sunday and shows a shirt saying “why always me”.
2.) 04 Mar 2024 16:37:34
Will be interested to see if any of the players recently back from injury go to Prague on Thursday.
3.) 04 Mar 2024 16:44:31
Back for Sunday do you know Ed?
{Ed001's Note - that is the date pencilled in for his return.}
4.) 04 Mar 2024 17:00:39
We need him. This is the one. For Jurgan ??.
5.) 04 Mar 2024 17:24:06
All the returning players will go to Prague they need game time. You don’t want to be undercooked before playing City. Salah I think is back in team training from tomorrow.
6.) 04 Mar 2024 19:27:37
SR, that would be epic.
7.) 05 Mar 2024 14:41:28
I’d imagine at £1 a pint all players will want to go to Prague.
Just think they could spend £10 on 10 pints and still have change from their 100k + weekly wage to survive.
8.) 05 Mar 2024 16:14:41
£1 a pint mate! That was a long while ago. Just about UK prices now.
9.) 05 Mar 2024 21:01:39
Damn it Mark I was just booking my flights!
16 Aug 2023 01:32:09
It it just me or is anyone else falling out of love with the game? I remember when things were simple and there wasn't issues over everything little thing. I remember when this site used to be fun, when rumours were met with joy and laughter, people used to talk to each other with respect and interact like grown human beings. Macca used to post regularly without problem. Football has changed so much and I still love liverpool but sadly the game has changed for the worse and I can't see it getting any better. The greed has taken over and its become ugly. I don't know what the answer is tbh. I'm sure some smart arse on here will have something to say but I for one am sick of footy at the moment. What's your view 25? Hope you're well me old mate.
{Ed025's Note - i was saying the same last year Marty, the fun seems to have gone out the game and it has been going downhill for quite a while, the amount of money in the game when people are struggling to feed their families is an a issue i believe and the growing force of keyboard warriors, people are less nice than they used to be and less tolerant of other peoples views and opinions mate, if you could see some of the posts that get deleted Marty it would surprise you, i have been threatened in the past that that people will come and find me because because of what i have said on a football forum...unbelievable geoff.
I try and bring a lighthearted twist to the site as its getting far too serious for my liking, i dont know whether its a symptom of modern day society or just football but people think they can talk to people on the internet how they want and with no respect and thats ruining things, you would thing people would cut me some slack as im an Evertonian and have enough on my plate :)
Im good thanks mate and hope you and yours are my friend..
1.) 16 Aug 2023 07:18:47
Add to it when your beloved club is nit playing good football it’s difficult to hold interest in the game.
{Ed025's Note - thats certainly a factor Akira..
2.) 16 Aug 2023 07:27:40
I think what people need to remember is that there is another human being on the receiving end of their comments. Whatever people put on social media, they need to think "would I actually say this to their face? " before posting.
{Ed025's Note - absolutely Willo mate..
3.) 16 Aug 2023 07:36:42
I think many football fans of the “top clubs” could do with a few seasons of lower league football. They might then get back in touch with what being a football fan actually means.
Football is just as much about the heartache as it is the success.
Nowadays there is a desire for instant success and inability to accept anything other than parity on every level with other clubs.
The tribalism is also going to a different level and it doesn’t even stop with other clubs. Look at the way the fsg out and fsg defending arguments go, they are just as bad.
Then you have the simply dire officiating of the game and the need to try to stamp out all enjoyment (celebrating, showing emotion) .
Fans/ pundits/ professionals defend the indefensible just because of who it went for or against - from this weekend I’m looking at you Ten Haag.
Add in the social media / media orgy of every little thing. Whipping up whatever sentiment they want. Look at Talksports post about mason mount the other day. Yes it was factually correct but it was purely designed to get people engaging and arguing. Start a pile in on a 24 year old.
So no Marty, it isn’t just you or Ed0025. We are in danger of losing what made football special to begin with.
4.) 16 Aug 2023 07:44:15
Feeling exactly the same this past year or so. Used to watch football every chance I got. now its just the liverpool games. That is becoming a chore also. No characters in the game, league is becoming a farce, referees and var is a shambles. If you haven't got the oil money. forget it. Its gone too far now.
5.) 16 Aug 2023 07:52:14
What Marty and Ed25 have said are symptoms of a degenerating society where there is a lacking compassion, empathy, accountability and sense of responsibility to our fellow man or to the rules. Now, as long as you get success, it doesn’t matter how you got there or what rules you broke to get there. The ends justifies the means and this is what has lead to more corruption which has spilt into football and football fandom. City and other clubs can cheat their way to success and what do you hear? You hear fans if other clubs saying well if I were them, I’d want my club to “strive for success by any means necessary”. See what society we live in now? It’s all about clout chasing and success at all costs, all ethics, rules, integrity be damned.
The fact that Ed25 was threatened with physical abuse for talking some slack on a footie forum is something very disturbing. Macca left this forum cos people rained abuse on him for not giving them the type of info they wanted to hear yet they were the twerking for it. For me, I refuse to engage in these things and I teach my kids from an early age to never engage in such wretched behaviour deemed okay by society.
6.) 16 Aug 2023 08:14:59
The game is becoming less competitive.
I remember the early days of the PL and the late days of the ‘first division’.
Blackburn, Leeds, Newcastle being promoted and then the next season they were challenging for the title.
Palace finishing runners up, West Ham, Norwich all competing at the top. Charlton were perennial top 10, Ipswich used to have good seasons.
It didn’t need an oligarch or a state sponsorship. Granted Blackburn benefited from Jack Walkers money. In general it was done with good players and good organised football.
Now it’s the same team names with massive squads and massive overhaul of players dominating everything. Not just winning, but the same top 5 or 6 give or take the odd exception.
You can’t even compete unless you’re ‘financially doped’ it’s very sad.
7.) 16 Aug 2023 08:21:43
I have to agree with all the above and to add to it the absolute blatant cheating from the reffing is driving crazy.
8.) 16 Aug 2023 08:39:21
I couldn't agree more with what has been said above.
Football used to be that "get away from it all" thing in my life. But I now feel so much more angrier and disillusioned after watching a football match. the love and enjoyment has been sucked out of it.
Drastic changes are needed, however I fear that the future is all about those who have money and for those that don't, I'm not even sure what will happen to them.
9.) 16 Aug 2023 08:42:28
That's the downside of social media - the idiots in society get a voice, Tw@tter being the ultimate example.
Football support when I was growing up was about getting behind your team, now it's about screaming abuse if the opposition cross the halfway line, or if a player misplaces a pass.
Some of the posts I read on here (and other sites) often have me wondering "what's going on in that person's life that makes them come to a football site just to vent their rage? ".
There are too many who take themselves and what's happening with the club too seriously. When you reach the stage where you simply can't stand to have a little humour injected into things then it's time to step back for a while or walk away.
10.) 16 Aug 2023 08:43:56
IMO it is the exponentially widening contradiction of football that is the issue, that is, the cognitive dissonance, the chasm created by the ludicrous amount of money in the game, when so many people are struggling financially, balanced against the weird ability of football, as a global sport, to sometimes transcend itself, to be almost poetic theatre at times, when at its best. Experiencing that poetry in the flesh and sharing that communal experience with thousands of others is very powerful but at the same time the experience is being polluted year on year by the greed within the game.
I think something happened with LFC towards the end of last year when FSG announced they were looking for a buyer or an investor. Shortly after the announcement, Ward and Graham resigned, completely out of the blue and from the outside things seem to be a bit unstable.
11.) 16 Aug 2023 10:01:33
Fully agree, @Flash.
@Barakdee, interesting final point regarding the club and the departures. I was listening to an LFC related podcast last night and someone said the exact same thing about these departures as well as the appointment of a retired DOF in Jorg which may or may not correlate with the owners desire to get new investors or outright sell the club.
To him, it seems we are engaging in self-sabotage cos how did we not go out and get an actual DOF rather than drwing one out of retirement? Indeed, that looks weird, right? Our model was working well regarding transfers and people were using our model to prove what can be if you aren't a financially doped club.
Suddenly, it seems as you say, unstable with Billy Hogan handling transfers now rather than the DOF we brought out of retirement. Baffling.
12.) 16 Aug 2023 10:27:03
I think people need to get back to going to watch football games live.
And that’s not me on about Liverpool I mean all games of football be it if you’re lucky enough to get tickets or if it’s the lowest level of grass roots football.
Over the last few years I’ve spent far more time trying to get to lower league games if opportunity presents and watching my local amateur team every week they don’t clash with Liverpool.
I can’t remember the last full game of football I watched on the tv that didn’t involve Liverpool in. I think it was the Euro final of England Italy.
Going to watch games in the flesh brings a different feeling and is far more enjoyable in my eyes. Regardless of the standard and let’s be honest these grass roots amateur clubs need the support far more than the super Rich clubs.

yeah last few years football for me has become less fun agree with you there ed025, for me the quality of the game is high its the fans so twisted and troll like the comment section on every Liverpool or any other teams socials or anyone talking about a football club is so repulsive and off putting, same as on here the negativity is mental
I ended up moving to Milton Keynes for work and decided to just attend MK Dons games (synthetic club) but its more enjoyable there's a big push on family sections and its just nice to see people enjoying themselves with out abusing each other or other fans, same as I've been to a couple Northampton Saints rugby games and that is worlds apart from football in regards to fans mixing and enjoying themselves.
{Ed025's Note - I have been to couple of StHelens and Wigan Rugby league games and the atmosphere is totally different Kloppers. The people are actually nice to each other and mix in. Different world in football I’m afraid these days mate..

The way I see it, we are coming out of a C.V. impacted world that has made things more expensive, seemingly more separated as people etc
And so the joys of life, like football, feel less so when the world around feels a bit dark.
For me, I just enjoy the journey of the club. I think that’s why I’m less triggered by everything that goes on be it good or bad. Loved the time when we’re building with Klopp that first year and a half. So when we did enjoy the fruits it made following the labour feel more valuable.

Personally a lot for me changed during Corona C.V..
Money was already everywhere and influencing the winners/ losers, but then we had the debacle of rich clubs (including ours) trying to furlough staff in one hand and then buy players with another.
It just exposed the greed in the game, and now with the money across clubs it's essentially who can spend the most as well as any drama the media can spin.
I still watch Liverpool and want us to win of course, but it's not quite the same as 15-20 years ago when there was more excitement and less contentious topics.
Thinking about it maybe it's not just the money, but also the increased added complications around tactics, rule changes, coming away from a contact sport and these super light balls (in my day if you headed the ball in rainy weather it would take your head off) - although I appreciate there is an injury concern with the old balls.
Anyway yeah feels a lot more complicated these days and miles away from my jumpers for goalposts days - I see more kids shouting about football now and doing tricks on Tik Tok than just being out there kicking a ball about.

Good posts there fellas, it seems a lot of is agree. It's a real shame to see.
13 Aug 2023 03:01:54
I think we need to draw a line under both caceido and lavia, both on route to Chelsea it seems. Good luck to em both, they will need at that club. Manager gone in a few months and a crazy owner. Football has gone crazy and its sad to see imo. It gets worse and worse.
1.) 13 Aug 2023 03:39:15
Great players for Chelsea if they get ‘‘em both.
2.) 13 Aug 2023 06:58:15
I think we already did, OP. The question now is who do you get?
18 Jun 2023 20:54:41
Everyone seen Neves is going to Saudi for 47 million? Strange one. he's 26.
{Ed014's Note - his only other option was Liverpool so a no brainer Marty! ?
1.) 18 Jun 2023 21:07:36
Money talks.
2.) 18 Jun 2023 21:42:45
When we don’t spend money, it’s money doesn’t buy success.
When everyone else spends money they are cheating and buying success.
3.) 18 Jun 2023 23:22:29
Two years, make a fortune, come back job done. Except no one will know who he is and his game will have regressed. But who can blame him$$$$$$.
4.) 19 Jun 2023 00:14:27
My prediction about Salah moving to Saudi this summer might just come true the way things are going.
5.) 19 Jun 2023 02:06:48
If an offer of between 60-80 million came in for salah would u let him go?
6.) 19 Jun 2023 02:18:25
Reminds me of Oscar going to China. A massive shame to see talented players in their primes get seduced purely by money.
7.) 19 Jun 2023 04:41:17
I would push for nearer to 100 million Fowler. And I think we would get it. Salah would be very valuable to the Saudis for a whole variety of reasons. I refuse to believe they aren't desperate for him to join. He's the best Arab player there's ever been.
8.) 19 Jun 2023 06:42:59
I don’t blame him, he’s not an elite player, he’s going to get crazy money for a few years.
Instead he could stay in England, pick up a horror injury and get paid jack squat.
Take the money from a non-competitive league and enjoy your life.
9.) 19 Jun 2023 09:34:31
Ron, pretty sure he could get injured in Saudi Arabia as well, thought either way, not sure on him getting 'jack squat'. Even at Wolves he was reportedly on over £50k a week. Not too shabby.
10.) 19 Jun 2023 09:39:27
When it comes to making money, I will never begrudge a player for taking the money. End of the day, it's their career, their health their future. If they value making as much as possible in an obscure league then al power to them I say.
Not going to be wasting energy being bitter about it and getting mixed up in all the values of it. I've not had the fortune of being talented or dedicated enough to be in that position to decide between being super duper rich and just rich, so I find it hard to cast my values on top of the players.
11.) 19 Jun 2023 10:50:18
If anyone of us were offered like quadruple our salary, or even more, and a massive signing on bonus to move to Saudi Arabia for a few years, each and everyone of us would be away in a heartbeat lol- let's face it, that's retirement money earned right there.
12.) 19 Jun 2023 11:34:49
MKS, Oscar literally said that he went to China in a bid to prioritise his family's well-being cos the money was crazy. Now I don't know if that was his true intention but just saying what he said.
30 Oct 2024 21:59:15
I thought Trents balldor comments were were funny. Personally I don't think he'll ever win it. He's got way too big for his boots in my opinion and if he wants out i wish him well and hope he succeeds but I don't really care. The club will move on.
29 Jul 2024 11:10:42
Basically what WDW is saying is that he is bored of VV and his repetitive posts. Zzzzzzzz.
16 Jun 2024 14:46:33
I'd rather sell now and pocket the 100 million and buy a replacement. Sureky that makes business sense ed2?
{Ed002's Note - Depending on what the offer is.}
30 May 2024 13:11:35
He is very good but to old imo. Move on.
06 Apr 2024 14:46:04
Its time for salah tp leave. Lost some pace and he isn't getting any younger. Been immense immense ready to say goodbye. thanks And hopefully thsnks for the 100 millon.
23 Nov 2024 07:57:38
Hit send by mistake! Trolling the site! Ignore him. Worst fan ever.
23 Nov 2024 07:57:00
As Ed2 would of said, Redrebel is just trolling the.
09 Nov 2024 08:30:22
U back in Dubai mate?
{Ed001's Note - yes Marty. Got a place right by one of the footie stadiums, overlooking the training pitches. As soon as I saw that the view from the windows and balcony was of the training pitches, I took it!}
02 Nov 2024 19:15:30
Shappy. Turn it in mate! same old united.
28 Oct 2024 06:17:14
What are you on about WDW? waffle. Our midfield was poor yesterday. Mac was awful, TAA had a stinker and so did Robbo. I'll take the point and move on.
