Left field question.

Ed2, as you called the Slot option a while back, have you had any direct or indirect influence in him becoming of interest to Liverpool?

Pessimistic Dreamer

{Ed002's Note - I don't have any influence on him. I can tell you that Rafaela Pimenta has been in London talking to Liverpool about the details for Slot. Liverpool are negotiating compensation with Feyenoord but they are resisting making it easy. Probably not the time to suggest Hencko as a VvD replacement.}

1.) 24 Apr 2024 12:52:40
Will you reveal your true identity one day Ed002? Your info has proved to be spot on once again.

2.) 24 Apr 2024 14:36:21
Ed’s I read that slot likes to control of everything at feyernoord, as klopp does for us and Amorim does for sporting allegedly…. is this true? And if so would it be a negative to come to us when it seems he is wanted to be the coach/ manager only and all the transfer stuff is taken away from him. And is that the reason we stepped away from Amorin?
And which would you say is the better manager and fit for Liverpool? Both seem to ne decent managers in their respective leagues but it’s miles away from prem level.

{Ed002's Note - Dennis te Kloese is responsible for the transfer process at Feyenoord with input from Slot. It will be the same at Liverpool. I understand that there was no clear understanding between the club and Amorim's agent regarding the scope of his responsibilities and that Liverpool would need to be flexible – critically over the squad – another with an issue that targets are still Fallows, Hunter and Klopp derived and a whole new structure being put in place.

Arne Slot would always have been my choice.}

3.) 24 Apr 2024 16:04:36
Ed002 tapped up Slot
?.

4.) 24 Apr 2024 16:23:13
I tapped the slot once.

Got arrested.

5.) 24 Apr 2024 18:37:40
Is he going to Slot right in, or just a credit card swipe away from getting sacked when results go west?

13 Jul 2023 18:19:16
Ed, to try and stave off the impending demand for minute-by-minute updates, can I ask if the club are in active negotiations for any of the names you have previously mentioned, rather than retaining an interest? Or if there are any new names lurking behind the infamous smokescreen?

Pessimistic Dreamer

{Ed002's Note - It is as I have explained largely. Or as you say the smokescreen which has been up since the fanns found out about the arrival of Mbappe. However, Liverpool had representatives in Madrid this morning as I mentioned earlier. Schuurs is another who might be considered "active".}

1.) 13 Jul 2023 19:41:21
Took Mbappe as a done deal, really.

Thanks.

2.) 13 Jul 2023 19:46:53
Hi Ed002 - I know it’s noted below the Madrid representative and Marcos Llorente, was this specifically for him/ Atletico based player or could this be Valverde who’s also noted as a possible?

{Ed002's Note - No, they were Atletico.}

3.) 13 Jul 2023 20:22:51
Could the representatives in Madrid speak to Real too about Tchou or you are certain that only Valverde is causing interest?

{Ed002's Note - They were at Atletico today.}

4.) 13 Jul 2023 20:36:56
I love you Ed002. Following this site since 2007 and you're by far the best on the Internet. Hope you're not affected by the trolls and glifnards who frequent this site. No one and I repeat no one has mentioned reps in Madrid, except Ed002. Just remember that WD3 when u go off on your latest rant talking bulcrap.

{Ed002's Note - I love you as well.}

5.) 13 Jul 2023 20:52:20
Flip me like. Ed02 you have the patience of a saint. I don’t know how you can respond to some of this so calmly haha.

6.) 13 Jul 2023 21:16:45
??? Don’t worry KlippKlopp, it’s alright for you to have your idols.

7.) 13 Jul 2023 22:43:14
Fantastic info Ed. Aside from Llorente, any chance Hermoso or Gimenez could be of interest from Atletico.

{Ed002's Note - Not to Liverpool.}

8.) 13 Jul 2023 23:06:02
Apparently Saudi have bid £30m for our smokescreen ed002.

9.) 14 Jul 2023 05:48:26
What's a glifnard? Or do I have to RTFP?

10.) 14 Jul 2023 08:43:28
Delvecs
A glifnard is the new left sided centre back we've been linked to.
Currently plying his trade in the Barnstaple Sunday league, Albert Glifnard has been attracting scouts from all over Devon ?.

11.) 14 Jul 2023 02:20:13
Ed were the talks productive?

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know - thie information came from someone who was there from another club about a transfer.}

12.) 14 Jul 2023 07:33:02
Hi Ed. can you share about what price that Atletico asked for Llorente?

{Ed002's Note - We are not interested in discussing money.}

13.) 13 Jul 2023 23:58:00
Ed;s do you rate Llorente? Is he the real deal, and likely to settle? And if he does sign, would Lavia still join?

{Ed002's Note - He is a good versatile player and Liverpool have not made any offer to Southampton for Lavia.}

Let's just hope the government are not paying the £2bn for the move from the Theatre of Comedy to the Magic Kingdom.

1.) 11 Mar 2025 12:27:26
It’s good for us this. They’ll spend the next 10 years paying off the stadium instead of getting players in like Arsenal did.

{Ed001's Note - no they won't. They will get the taxpayer to pay most of it.}

2.) 11 Mar 2025 13:06:52
Can't see the taxpayer (me) paying for it Ed01. Spurs didn't turn to the taxpayer, why would Utd? Everything I've read suggests they won't.

{Ed001's Note - we'll see, but the Rat has never paid for anything out of his own pocket before.}

3.) 11 Mar 2025 13:10:30
West Ham United of the north!

Can't afford to pay staff for lunch, but can afford 350k a week on Casemiro. Apparently out of cash by year end if it didn't happen but here comes a magic stadium? Something doesn't quite add up.

If they try and get this through on being a national stadium of the north I hope every football fan tells them where to swivel.

4.) 11 Mar 2025 13:17:43
How will they get that tax payer to pay it ed001?
Is there some funding for things like this now don’t think spurs got any help did they.

{Ed001's Note - Spurs never, but I don't see the relevance. The Rat hasn't put his company's money into this without a plan to make sure he makes a lot back - if that involves greasing a few wheels, I am sure that is no problem to him.}

5.) 11 Mar 2025 13:42:13
I detest the bloke with a passion, Ed. Like you say, let's see how things pan out.

6.) 11 Mar 2025 13:57:04
It's supposed to bring in almost 10bn per year to the UK economy so I'm sure Utd will spin it that it's a sound investment for government funding.
I'm sure they'll be using the term 'Northern Powerhouse ' as much as possible to make the money flow.
Completely unfair to all other league teams if they get government funding (as it was unfair when West Ham got their stadium for tiny rent)

7.) 11 Mar 2025 14:07:28
Am I right in thinking West Ham used tax payer money to cushion the move to their new stadium, the London Stadium? I seem to remember something along those lines in the news, around the time. Then again, it might be because the stadium was originally built for the Olympic Games.

Either way, it proves that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is a nasty piece of work. He spends the entire year talking about cuts, the club needing to regain money, that the club might not exist past the end of the year, firing everyone on the lowest possible income, while the high earners (That have run the club into the ground) get to keep their undeserved and high wages. Then, turns around and announces a stadium worth 2 billion.

Plus, the stadium genuinely looks like a circus tent. Joke of a club.

8.) 11 Mar 2025 15:05:12
Question for ED01 please. Utd are gona earn a fortune from naming rights on new stadium. Should FSG try selling naming rights for anfield to try n keep up?

{Ed001's Note - honestly, I really don't care about stuff like that.}

9.) 11 Mar 2025 15:09:41
Wasn't City's stadium also initially government funded as it was the old Commonwealth stadium? In fact, I think the council still own it but City keep the revenues or something like that.

10.) 11 Mar 2025 15:31:09
It’s funny that they in the mess they are but it’s sad on the fans.

11.) 11 Mar 2025 16:30:07
Not sure Tom Duffy's Circus will pay out that well for the naming rights, jimjim.

12.) 11 Mar 2025 16:34:49
There is a petition online (search google) about no tax payers money going in to a billionaires club. I suggest everyone signs it.

Looks like a circus tent - perfect for those clowns!

13.) 11 Mar 2025 16:36:21
Anyway. Im going to set off now to the greatest football cathedral in the world. Steeped in glory and tradition.
To stand on the most famous terrace in history. Up the Reds tonight!

14.) 11 Mar 2025 17:28:40
Looks like a circus tent, which is just as well given all of the clowns and freaks that will be attending regularly.

15.) 11 Mar 2025 18:01:11
As long as the roof and the rodent infestation currently ravaging the Old Dumpster is fixed in their new ground. That's all for me, folks.

16.) 11 Mar 2025 18:36:01
100% tax payers will pay for This. Absolute joke. And you have every united fan slagging off city for having a council house.

17.) 11 Mar 2025 18:51:03
Looks like butlins in minehead.

18.) 11 Mar 2025 19:08:51
Utd has said that the stadium work won't happen until the government regeneration work kicks in. So the tax payers will at least pay for that part, if not more.

{Ed025's Note - its scandalous Brommers..

19.) 11 Mar 2025 20:50:29
HAHHA ED001 . The Rat. he is a ringer of one aswel.

20.) 11 Mar 2025 23:04:03
Liverpool and Everton had the chance before and declined the 100,000 seater in Liverpool. An absolutely catastrophic error on every level. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Typical small minded thinking.

21.) 12 Mar 2025 06:59:14
Yes, we'll win nothing without a shiny new 100,000 seater stadium.
Catastrophic indeed.

22.) 12 Mar 2025 07:34:10
If the tax payers can’t afford to give pensioners a heating allowance so they don’t freeze to death then the tax payers can’t afford a new stadium for ManU.

How about ‘billionaire Jim Ratcliffe’ finances the new stadium which will directly inflate the value of his asset?

{Ed025's Note - spot on Ron..

Whoever it is, I hope it's not as anti-clumactic as Buckles being revealed as "H".

Pessimistic Dreamer

{Ed025's Note - that ruined Line of Duty for me PD, the fist 5 series were excellent but having Buckles as H was like having Keita in your team mate.. :)

Hopefully Arne will give him a hairdryer for Christmas after his pathetic play acting cost us a goal on Sunday. Ed's being saying this for ages but that one was particularly embarassing.

Rubbish. Super player, great to watch, gave 20 years of his life into being the best he could be.
He deserves an opportunity to live another dream if he wishes.

He will be replaced, the club will move in and continue to be successful (with a little luck) .

Get over it.
