Express reporting that Tony Kroos wants to work with Klopp.

Maybe wants to start a specialist boating and horse riding company - Kroos and Klopp.

langland

1.) 21 Jan 2018 18:11:31
The express have reported some daft stories this window.

2.) 21 Jan 2018 18:42:47
Express just prints garbage on the front, back and middle pages. If it’s not immigrants, it’s princess Diana or statins.

3.) 21 Jan 2018 18:44:11
The Express, says it all, don't believe a word .

4.) 21 Jan 2018 21:43:02
They took the quotes out of context. It came from Don Ballon, but what the express forgot to mention is that Kroos was urging Klopp to join him at Real Madrid, not issuing a come get me plea 😂.

5.) 21 Jan 2018 23:12:05
The only use for the express is if you run out of toilet paper. Same goes for Don Balon.

6.) 22 Jan 2018 16:50:09
You are right MK haha
Im shocked they didn’t link us with Ronaldo too since he wants Klopp at Madrid also 😂.

7.) 22 Jan 2018 16:54:34
The Guardian is so much more satisfying, tho, Mr Dennis. And softer too.

I would just like to say good luck to my Everton supporting frirnds today. Take Vardy out and you will have a good chance.

langland

{Ed025's Note - i wish langland...thanks anyway mate..

1.) 01 Dec 2019 16:58:49
So far so good ed, you are getting a result.

{Ed025's Note - early days yet marto..

2.) 01 Dec 2019 18:31:41
Gah. You jinxed it, haha.

Really gutted for Everton too that they couldn't hold out for quite long enough, and I'll be even more gutted for us if it means that Marco Silva isn't in the dugout on Wednesday.

3.) 01 Dec 2019 18:50:46
Everton are really poor these days a bet they up there game on wed still won't be enough I hope.

4.) 01 Dec 2019 19:31:04
Hunter, you cannot say that they didn't up their game today. They did give it a good go. It's not like they rolled over and had their tummies tickled, is it?

5.) 01 Dec 2019 21:35:17
Dyamn it. Sorry : (.

6.) 01 Dec 2019 18:49:50
he will be there EP, unless a job swap with Watford is on the cards!
Everton don't need moyes or mark Hughes there has to be better candidates than that available, ever since they became rich its been disastrous both in management choices and player recruitment and still no sign of that changing.

7.) 02 Dec 2019 00:06:41
Wednesday got draw written all over it. Just like united, Everton is a game that doesn’t take into account form, and with a few local lads in their team they will raise their game.

8.) 02 Dec 2019 00:16:23
No one will want the Everton job until after Christmas, their next few matches liverpool, utd, Chelsea, Leicester, arsenal that's a poison chailse at the moment. Someone will have a nice Christmas dinner and then decide but don't hold your breath before Christmas.

9.) 01 Dec 2019 22:17:38
If Everton were as dumb enuff as to hire pathetic dinosaur managers like Hughes or Moyes then they deserve whatever negative outcome they get whther in the short term or long term. No PL club should be anywhere near those two proven failures who have continued to "Fail Up" through out their PL managerial careers.

{Ed025's Note - i totally agree redwolf, we are getting exactly what we deserve..

10.) 02 Dec 2019 10:33:24
I don't understand what people are talking about. Everton have been poor? I beg to differ, I think they're doing a fine job. Long may it continue ;) .

11.) 02 Dec 2019 17:25:43
If Arsenal don't appoint Arteta, he's got to be the prime candidate for the Everton job, surely. What you reckon Ed025?

{Ed025's Note - a bit soon for him i think epic, he could not do any worse than the last few dead beats but we are a graveyard for managers and i like mikel mate..

Standing still is the new progressing.
I know that we are all pretty disappointed that we haven't signed some marquee players in this window however although i don't agree with everything that Klopp does, I know that he feels that he can improve the group that he has. If he can improve them enough to win the Prem that will be great. We all know that we can't outspend City or United so we have to out perform them by other means.
We were so close last year. If he can improve by 2% then unless City also improve by 2% then the title will be ours.
YNWA.

langland

1.) 09 Aug 2019 17:26:03
Spurs stood still for about 6 transfer windows though.

2.) 09 Aug 2019 17:32:12
We have out spent united . give some respect to the owners who gave Klopp all the money he needs to build this team . This summer we did n't buy because we did n't find the real deal not because we are poor .
Also I don't understand why won't city improve by 2% or more, they identified a weakness and bought a player to cover that weakness .
Anyway if this 2% means 2 points . then its pointless . I don't expect 2 teams on over 95 points this time around .

3.) 09 Aug 2019 18:10:54
I think the one thing everyone is forgetting is player retention. For the first time since I can remember, after a successful season, we have kept hold of all our key players. In the past we would have lost a Salah, Mane, Firmino, Van Dijk etc

Credit to the club for tying down these players and to Klopp for instilling the belief that they don’t need to go anywhere else to get trophies.

4.) 09 Aug 2019 18:19:07
Just seen a bit further down someone making the exact same point as me. Apologies for repeating.

I did the Stadium Tour today and I really enjoyed it. Tour Guide Terry made it most enjoyable. I really enjoyed the museum visit as well I either didn't know or had forgotten that Liverpool are the only team in UK with an original Champions League trophy in our possession as all the rest are replicas. You have to win 5 to be given an original. Bumped in to John Barnes on the way out. He has lost some weight.

langland

1.) 24 May 2019 20:08:36
I remember bumping into John Barnes at the Conti club (does that still exist? ) . I shook his hand and said "Hey John, you're not as fat as you look on the telly". He said "thanks for that, mate". I'm not sure he was genuinely thanking me.

2.) 24 May 2019 20:13:09
I hope to do the tour with my son in the summer. Glad you enjoyed it. Was it worth the trip?

3.) 24 May 2019 20:37:43
I had no idea about that with the trophies, I'm looking forward to seeing the 6th :) roll on June. Glad you enjoyed it.

4.) 24 May 2019 22:36:51
Yeah, i think these days when you win your 5th, they make a new one and you keep the existing one? Maybe I'm havering though.

5.) 24 May 2019 22:37:45
If you win 3 in a row then you also get an original trophy too. 👍.

6.) 24 May 2019 23:19:31
Did the tour in April. Was ace, did the legends Q and A with Terry McDermott was great to hear his memories through out his career at the club. definitely worth the £40 would like to do it again and maybe get Phil Thompson in the legend question and answer, be good to hear his thoughts on the Gerard houllier team.

7.) 25 May 2019 02:58:04
Did the legends at xmas with Alan Kennedy he’d just got there from a legends night out still bevvied and so the language was occasionally a bit fruity but good value! Well worth it if you can afford the extra outlay.

8.) 25 May 2019 10:45:09
I took my dad on a Melwood tour a few years ago, don’t know if they still do it or not but would highly recommend it, especially before they move out of there. Got on one of those fancy coaches they travel on from Anfield to the training ground, got a great look around at the facilities, canteen etc etc then back on the bus to Anfield. Was a great day and got to see some things you wouldn’t think, like Martin Kelly working out in the gym 😂.

9.) 25 May 2019 10:56:47
Nice one langland especially about the trophy. One tip though: avoid bumping into fat people because as a fat person myself I can tell you bumping into them can cause a lot of damage.

10.) 25 May 2019 12:52:27
Not only are we the only UK team with an original trophy but they only give out replicas now, regardless of how many have been. I believe (please correct me if im wrong) we are the last team (and final) team in europe to receive an original trophy.

I have not been so excited about a campaign since 1997 when Paul Ince joined and was the missing piece of the jigsaw. Unfortunately our defence wasn't up to the task and we lost 9 league games and conceded 42 goals. Last season we conceded 38 goals. To win the league I think that we need to concede under 30 goals. That's why we needed Alison Becker.

langland

1.) 21 Jul 2018 13:37:42
As long as we score more than the opposition.

2.) 21 Jul 2018 15:19:03
The midfield of Fabinho, Keita and Henderson is a thing of beauty. A mixture of hard work, defensive nous, passing ability and good physical presence.

3.) 21 Jul 2018 15:28:49
The spine of the team finally looks strong, Alisson, VVD, Fabinho, Keita and Bobby, don’t know the numbers but I think we dropped a few points from winning positions last season which has been a bit too common during Klopps reign
Hopefully that will be a thing of the past this season.

4.) 21 Jul 2018 16:04:53
Not sure why you missed out our captain from that ‘spine’ there squizza?

5.) 21 Jul 2018 16:25:29
I still believe it's those draws that hurt us the most last season. Otherwise we would have been nipping at ManC's heels until the very end.

6.) 21 Jul 2018 18:36:50
Completely agree ra. I think with the new signings we'll be turning them draws into wins.

7.) 21 Jul 2018 18:47:38
I think the midfield is something to be excited about. Fabinho could be massively important without ever making the headlines and Keita could well be the one to provide that bit of magic to unlock a stubborn defense. If Shaqiri can do half as much as AOC in changing opinions on here then he'd have done a good job. I really like how Hendo has begun to look for a forward pass first and has become very good at executing them. If this team plays without fear or apprehension then we could be in for some very exciting times. Hope so.

Good luck Dean Lovren.

I am just going to add this. There are a few players not considered good enough to be a red that Klopp has turned into a fans favourite. Ryan Fraser could be next.
Or Wif Zaha
Or van aanholt
Or gylfi Sigurdsson.

I am happy for Klopp to improve what he has got so as long as no e of the big hitters leave it's as you were next season. Although I would like to add goals from midfield.

Slison definitely took one for the team and whilst i was initially annoyed by the goal they score. It has been one of my pet hates that after a team is penalised the ref then gives them all the time in the world to set up. I hope that what happened yesterday happens a lot more in the future. But not against us obvs.

For years referees have failed to give fouls/ penalties when the player stays on his feet. And that is why they go down easily. A foul is a foul. And a foul in the penalty area is a penalty.
Players go down to make sure that they get one.

I think that i would play Ox hendo and gini in midfield against Genk. It would be complete folly to play Fab on the off chance that he gets injured, after leaving him out against Villa.

I thought Ox did well on Saturday especially covering for Trent when he bombed forward. Hopefully Ox will play most games this season.
