Confirmed Alonso is not coming to Liverpool.

Negativeredwalter2.0

{Ed014's Note - confirmed, Klopp is staying!

1.) 29 Mar 2024 11:27:31
Hi eds2
Could you tell us what type of manager Amorim is. What type of football can we expect if he is our next manager.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - A back three and attacking football.}

2.) 29 Mar 2024 14:42:00
Ed014 - I'm guessing that's a joke or sarcastic reply and you don't have some kind of insider news? Just so I don't reignite any hope around that idea.

{Ed014's Note - yes sorry red it was my being sarcastic, as at the time Alonso hadn’t said he was staying put so I was just making stuff up to copy Walter. ?‍♂️

3.) 29 Mar 2024 16:47:54
Don't do that to us ed14.??!

{Ed014's Note - you’ll be fine mate, Big Sam is a quality manager! ?

4.) 30 Mar 2024 08:28:31
Good to see u over on this page ed14 haven't seen u here in while. I thought pressure of title race getting to u. ?
On a seroius note how u see league race going now? Hard to call but i think if city beat use over weekend they win it, i can only see spurs taking points off them in rest of games. arsenal prob toughest run in followed by lfc. City not bad after this weekend.

I've actually googled this to no concrete confirmation, but chatting with two lads in the cafe earlier and they seemed adamant that Allison is off to Bayern in the summer?

1.) 18 Dec 2023 20:38:37
If there's even the slightest possibility that the club management are considering letting Ali go, then they all need sacking, including Klopp. Most important player in the team by far with how shockingly open we are with these bloody stupid tactics.

{Ed025's Note - there is only Pickford who could replace him Westwood.. :)

2.) 18 Dec 2023 20:49:39
Cheers ed but I'd rather register a cardboard cut out of Ali than have that angry showboater in a Liverpool net, no offence!

{Ed025's Note - none taken mate, Ali is going nowhere..

3.) 19 Dec 2023 00:43:16
Pickford couldn’t lace Alisson’s boots. Not just because he’s nowhere near as good, but his arms wouldn’t reach that far.

4.) 19 Dec 2023 00:54:18
T-Rex.

5.) 19 Dec 2023 01:57:07
Yeah alis cardboard to the rescue!

6.) 19 Dec 2023 07:04:20
I often find that “a few lads in the pub” are absolutely bang on with their transfer intel ?

Classic Walter fishing expedition.

7.) 19 Dec 2023 07:35:09
@Spot on OP, Ali and his family go there every summer on hiking holidays.

8.) 19 Dec 2023 07:40:29
2 lads in the cafe, the most reputable source.

9.) 19 Dec 2023 12:30:57
I know it’s a rumour site but that is just too daft…. someone’s head needs a wobble!

10.) 19 Dec 2023 14:28:02
I was only going by what they were saying. I only popped in for a cheese sandwich.
Possibly untrue but if it is we're going to be in bigger trouble than we thought come start of next season.

11.) 19 Dec 2023 16:52:54
'Possibly' untrue!?

I'm sorry, but that can't even be classed as a rumour, wishful thinking on Bayern's part maybe, but there is more chance they'd get Oliver Kahn out of retirement before they see Alisson in their colours next year!

12.) 19 Dec 2023 17:52:19
Probably to play bayern in ucl next year.

13.) 19 Dec 2023 18:47:36
Brilliant Walter cheered me up.

14.) 20 Dec 2023 03:00:51
Lol Walter, I love this. As soon as you mentioned the cheese sandwich I lost my head. Absolutely brilliant mate! keep them coming haha some people just don't 'get' you, you barmy bugger. Merry Christmas mate!

15.) 20 Dec 2023 08:03:18
*sniff sniff sniff*

Is that cow?

*sniff sniff sniff*

No, it's bull****!

Stirring the pot with absolute trash as usual Walter!

16.) 20 Dec 2023 09:24:41
Omg I only posted what I had heard. Salah my dear chap wishing you a very happy Christmas and a happy new year.

17.) 20 Dec 2023 13:35:52
Thank you Walter. I wish you all the best mate. Keep these posts coming.

I am sorry but I don't see a world class player in Trent. Yes he's good going forward but world class no.
Can he become world class yes.
As for his defending he's average at best. There's been many a time when he's been beaten by his incompetent defending style.
Overall he's the player we need in the style we play but there's room for vast improvement in his defensive duties and there's room for better decisions going forward.
I for one want him to do well but there's still work to be done.

Negativeredwalter2.0

1.) 13 Jan 2024 22:45:14
He's been world class since he was 21. He's a generational talent that has redefined the role like Roberto Carlos, Dani Alves and Marcelo did.

2.) 13 Jan 2024 22:49:31
Already filed under the "Negative for no reason whatsover" folder, Walter.

3.) 13 Jan 2024 23:46:36
This season he has been world class for sure.

4.) 14 Jan 2024 00:50:50
There are actually some decent forwards Trent comes up against, so it’s no disgrace to be given a hard time on occasions. It just seems the media love to jump on his back at every given opportunity, not to mention some on here.

Rejoice in the fact we have him and what he brings to our team, regardless of what role he’s asked to play.

5.) 14 Jan 2024 00:51:16
World class is such a subjective title. I care more about whether a player is world class whilst playing with us.

6.) 14 Jan 2024 01:01:51
Negative after a reaction again I see. Are you bored mate?

7.) 14 Jan 2024 02:46:19
Not even worth a reaction.

8.) 14 Jan 2024 03:37:37
Yet you reacted redflyer.

Most hilarious thing here is, Walter probably loves Trent. He's messing about and sparking a debate, he does it all of the time and is the negative one but it's an act, trust me this fella isn't being serious lol. He's a character and he brings something different.

Sorry for blowing your cover Walter :) .
Hope all is well mate.

As for Trent, when Ed1 is about 95 year old (not too far from now) he'll be doing a 'legends of the game' profile on the lad. Trent is a fantastic player and one who is cementing his name into our history. We are very lucky to have such a player who is as talented and as loyal as he is, they don't come around too often.

9.) 14 Jan 2024 05:13:02
U got me. ?.

10.) 14 Jan 2024 07:27:20
LOL Trent is a key part of a defensive line up that has only conceded 18 goals this season, the best so far in the league. The scary part about Trent is that he is only going to get better.

11.) 14 Jan 2024 09:39:50
It’s almost like media and pundits believe we are the only team with class forwards in the league when it comes to watching us.

When Diaz, Jota, Darwin or Salah go past defenders it’s always because they are class. But whenever Trent is taken on by a class forward (ie martinelli, foden etc) then it’s always because of Trent’s defending and nothing to do with the other player being pretty good as well.

It’s the same thing for Vvd as well. The guy didn’t get taken on for 3 years and then when it finally happens once and then maybe another 3% is the time last season the other 97% of his successful challenges are forgotten about and it’s Vvd os done.

Sad thing is a few LFC fans fall into the trap of this media noise themselves.

12.) 14 Jan 2024 10:33:08
Salah, you've been caught out too, my old friend. ??. You've been doing a great job of pretending that you like Walter's posts. But you haven't fooled everyone yet. I suggest you try harder in praising him and his posts, Maybe a few more of us will bite. ??

In response to your earlier post, I thank you mate and the road to recovery is ongoing. But I tell you, quitting smoking after 46 years is a bitch. Biggest regret in my life that I ever started. One summer with a hot blonde right after high school, who smoked, and I got myself into a lifelong addiction that won't let go.

13.) 14 Jan 2024 12:52:48
Aray I smoked 3 packs a day for almost 30 years. It’s seen as fickle by some but the vape really helped me quit. Couldn’t have done it without.

14.) 14 Jan 2024 17:22:02
Aside from players like Messi and Ronaldo there’s always a debate whether a player is world class or not. Trent, at only 25, is only like 5 assists of being in the top 20 of all time assists in Premier League history. If he carries on generating the same numbers it’s not out of the question for him to break into the top 10 maybe even top 5. For a full back that is ridiculous. His range of passing is phenomenal, on par with most of the best midfielders currently playing. His free kick ability is pretty decent and his long range shooting ability is good as well. His defending may not be his strongest asset but it is no where near as bad as pundits and fans make it out to be. In my opinion world class is being a standout in your position and would likely play in most teams in the world over what they have there. I can’t think of many clubs where he doesn’t walk into the side. If he played in Spain generating the same numbers every football fan would saying how amazing he is.

15.) 14 Jan 2024 18:52:48
TRENT is world class. Some of his shots and passes are unreal. Any team wouoild want him or woul Sign him given The chance. he's probably worth 150 mil minimum.

{Ed025's Note - Trent is a very talented individual SG, my problem is that im not sure what his best position is mate, hes not anywhere near world class yet but certainly has the potential to be in that bracket..

16.) 14 Jan 2024 19:18:06
Totally disagree Ed. With the ball at his feet only KDB is similar level in the PL at least. Don't watch any other leagues. Agree his best position is up for debate.

{Ed025's Note - as i said RF the guy is certainly a talent, i dont think his defending is his strong suit though mate and he has not played enough in midfield to really judge him yet, great passer of a ball with a wand of a right foot, needs to find a permanent role for me before he is fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as KDB..

17.) 14 Jan 2024 19:37:39
He plays RB. He’s been a RB since he broke into the first team seven years ago. He gets in the Liverpool all time XI ahead of Neal, Nicol, Jones, Finnan etc. He gets into a World XI ahead of Walker, Hakimi, Carvajal, you name it.

If that doesn’t make him World Class, then you might want to check your jealousy and bitterness settings.

18.) 15 Jan 2024 11:16:00
As, @BP said. The guy is just bored and wanted to get a reaction with the over the top and dismissive tone of his OP. I guess it worked as the argument of Trent being world class RB or footballer overall, has been over years ago, IMO.

19.) 15 Jan 2024 11:45:46
Why do you keep banging on about his defending when he's kept most wingers quiet this season? Anything to have a go, you don't see other defenders getting this much stick, jealousy from half wits who don't understand how he plays and how much work he gets through in games, look at his stats and where we are in the league. Ask anyone who knows the game will tell you he's world class, not some blue nose who's bitter and hasn't had a world class player in their team since the 80's.

20.) 15 Jan 2024 12:48:44
Trent definitely world class, his numbers alone are crazy coming from a bitter blue nose, im not surprised he isn't being called world class, they think Calvert Lewin AND Pickford are top class lol (banter with a edge of truth there 025 haha)

21.) 15 Jan 2024 13:50:16
I know what you mean ra mate, it's not easy. I quit last year but it wasn't easy. It's almost a year now and I still get the cravings but keep at it and you'll do it.

Back in November I went and got a packet because I'd had a bad day and luckily I didn't cave in, I'd quickly opened the pack lol but didn't do it. Don't give in to it mate and it'll be the best thing you've ever done. Honestly I feel like a different person since quitting and I'm sure, I'm certain you will as well.

Good luck mate, hard? yes, impossible? no. Just got to stay focused, you've got this mate. Keep it up, you're doing great.

22.) 16 Jan 2024 11:12:40
As a full back I wouldn't put him before nicol, although I never forgive him for not bringing down Michael Thomas for that goal.

01 Jan 2024 17:28:22
I feel it's going to be a tough night tonight. Newcastle need a win big time. I hope we smash them.
Tonight will go a long way in deciding if we're going to get champions league or uefa cup next season.
Come the end of the season I think we will look back to tonight and see this is where Manchester city won the league.

Negativeredwalter2.0

1.) 01 Jan 2024 18:02:08
Man city won the league after we trounced Newcastle 4-0? That's quite an impressive feat!

2.) 01 Jan 2024 18:31:52
It’s impossible for one result to win or lose the league now Neggy. Too many points have been dropped by all teams for it to be down to just one game.

3.) 01 Jan 2024 18:41:38
That reminds me, I’m going to have a waffle for desert.

4.) 01 Jan 2024 18:59:56
I predict a 2-2 draw. We'll have to drop points so City can gain some ground. And pep did say they would win the league :/.

5.) 01 Jan 2024 19:25:37
No league is ever won on January 1st.

6.) 01 Jan 2024 19:48:24
Ah lads, just dont.

7.) 01 Jan 2024 21:53:57
Well i'm glad my prediction went to crap lol.

8.) 01 Jan 2024 22:03:02
This game will decide if we get champs league or europa league next season? Wtf are you smoking.

9.) 01 Jan 2024 22:55:58
Does that mean we've qualified for the Champions League now then?
Or the UEFA cup?

10.) 01 Jan 2024 23:07:54
So does that mean we’re definitely getting Champ’s league now Walter? If so, that’s a bit positive for you isn’t it mate? ?.

11.) 01 Jan 2024 23:33:24
Guys, let it go with Negative W. It is becoming too easy at this point.

12.) 02 Jan 2024 01:39:57
It’s all part of the fun Oli, he’ll be sat back chuckling to himself thinking about his next post. Proper banter, he’s not too bad for a Man U fan. That’s right isn’t it Walter? ?.

13.) 02 Jan 2024 08:10:17
Gotta give credit to the lads wasn't expecting that result today.
Let's hope it continues with Endo leaving.

14.) 02 Jan 2024 08:27:38
We have the best goals against record in the league this season (3 better than the next best - City - who’ve played a game less than us).

We are joint second on goals scored.

We have the best goal difference.

Mo is the joint top scorer in the PL with 14 goals (equal with the Norwegian one)

Mo is the joint top goal assist in the PL with 8 assists (equal with Ollie Watkins)

Mo tops the list of combined goal scoring and assists.

I understand it might be a bit of reverse psychology for you to have an ‘out’ if we do actually lose but you’ve been at it since about the 3rd or 4th game this season.

Although, thinking about it, perhaps the squad know about your concerns and aren’t losing just to spite you. So, maybe, on behalf of the superstitious everywhere, perhaps you should keep it up ??.

30 Dec 2023 14:17:26
It would be nice to win something. My gut tells me we end up with nothing. We're overachieving ATM and the wheels will fall off at some point.
With the right additions next season, we could make a very good challenge for some silverware.

Negativeredwalter2.0

1.) 30 Dec 2023 14:31:24
I ve said this before Walter but I love your posts. There's a charm to your negativity I just love.

And mixed in with the negativity is always your true opinion. I think your the best negative poster on the site. Plus you never once changed your ways.

I was going to respond to your post yesterday but I thought I'd sit and see what reactions you got.

You definitely won't be everybody's cup of tea though?.

2.) 30 Dec 2023 14:41:02
Well at the very least we are the best team left in the carabao cup. Got to have a good chance to win Europa as well.

3.) 30 Dec 2023 14:54:03
City keeping pace with the rest of us in the league with there two best players out but due back soon is quite ominous. but I will never bet against Liverpool.

4.) 30 Dec 2023 14:55:43
I understand neg Walter psychology, i use to buy Liverpool's opponent to win on wvery match day so i can console myself with bit winnings in case Liverpool lost. Neg Walter is such passionate fan.

5.) 30 Dec 2023 15:51:07
I think it's a good time for the club to liquidate its assets and turn Anfield into a museum. All things come to an end. It's good to end when you are at a (relative) high. Fans will remember and cherish the Community Shield win for the next two hundred weeks.

6.) 30 Dec 2023 16:11:53
Walter just enjoy the ride mate.

What will be will be.

7.) 30 Dec 2023 16:55:16
What a load of nonsense. We haven't even played consistently well this season yet. And am 99% sure you are no liverpool supporter, Negativeredwalter2.0.

8.) 30 Dec 2023 16:59:58
I truly love my LFC, I want them to do well. Just feel we're at a false dawn and it kinda hurts.

9.) 30 Dec 2023 18:27:37
Negative Walter and when we make the right additions next season according to you, you will be back here again posting the exact same thing you just posted now, yeah? I thought so. Happy New year, bro.

10.) 30 Dec 2023 18:35:36
It’s half a season, Dawn finished at the end of August. Obviously it’s up to you to chose your outlook on life but imho if you aim low you’ll generally be on the money.

11.) 30 Dec 2023 21:01:00
I agree OP. Everyone at work saying we will win the league but they only watch the highlights, not see how we actually playing. It is obvious that the top teams are not as good this year and that is the only reason we are top and I'd argue that with anyone. Still City's to lose I'd say but I am obviously happy we are 1st right now.
Not saying we don't have the potential to win everything, but we need to get better at breaking down teams that sit deep and stop getting countered so easily. Stats say we have an awesome defence when really all LFC fans know we just have a simply amazing keeper.

12.) 30 Dec 2023 21:17:42
Awesome defence or amazing keeper? Why does it matter? We are the best in the league at keeping the ball out of the net so far this season, how we do it is irrelevant.

It seems to me that most of the negativity is based around how we play not the results we get.

It’s ’the inverted rubbish’ or the ‘possession based rubbish’.

None of that matters it’s all about results and we are getting results.

Weak minded people with a weak mindset who can’t stand to think positively as then it will hurt more or they might look silly if they are disappointed.

If you always expect the worst you will never be disappointed.

13.) 30 Dec 2023 22:21:15
Becker's I agree with you quite a lot but don't be so ignorant to call people that look for improvements as being 'weak-minded'. I've personally made a career from pointing out how things can be made better. Entire business management systems are designed around continual improvement and that doesn't happen by simply being content with how things are. You need a critical mind to improve, otherwise you stagnate. Fact is despite being top we can be better in the areas that are being mentioned.
Have an opinion by all means, but keep your opinions on other people's mindset and mental toughness to yourself. You know nothing about anyone on here.

14.) 30 Dec 2023 22:22:08
Absolutely Beckers. ??.

15.) 30 Dec 2023 23:15:47
Constructive criticism is fine Westwood if that’s what it is.

I’m sorry but the constant doomsday scenarios and expecting everything to come crashing down at any minute shows a weak mentality. Certainly not the type of person I would want anywhere near me in a personal or business space.

Energy thieves.

16.) 31 Dec 2023 01:04:08
Lol love it Walter.

17.) 31 Dec 2023 08:06:34
The defence and MF have improved hugely, whilst the attack is at its least consistent this season.
IF the attack kicks into gear and starts putting away more of the created chances, we can win the league, otherwise, its City's to loose.

18.) 31 Dec 2023 08:38:18
I seem to recall we didn’t play that brilliantly for most of the season that we won the league. We all love the old ‘heavy metal’ football but you have to be more pragmatic when it comes to actually getting all the points you need….

19.) 31 Dec 2023 09:48:08
If anything hurts its your expectations.
Try to enjoy what comes and part of that is not knowing.
Should be a cracking game of football Monday evening lads.

20.) 31 Dec 2023 09:20:47
We have points in the bag. We win all our remaining games and nobody can beat us. Surely that makes it ours to lose?

21.) 31 Dec 2023 11:22:01
BP, I agree that many of us engage in constructive criticism when we mention our concerns BUT that does not automatically mean we are weak minded or any of that so I get what you are saying. I do agree that people dwell on the negatives regardless of where we are a bit TOO much and like you, that is where I draw the line.

For the record, I am astounded at where we are judging my the expectations I had for this season which were not much and even if we were 4th, I’d still b happy while at the same time, highlighting my concerns and how we can get better.

What I don’t like is when people ultra focus on the negatives and start denigrating what we have achieved as if the individuals bailing us out are not part of the team or something. Like you said, “What does it matter” that Ali or VVD for ex, have carried us defensively at times? Or that Salah has carried us offensively at times? They are leaders and like great leaders, they are literally doing their jobs inspiring the new and younger players to up their game and level up. “If it wasn’t for VVD or Ali or Salah, we would be…”. Miss ne with at rubbish and enjoy the ride. Good grief!

22.) 31 Dec 2023 17:34:44
As long as we finish above Everton.

23.) 31 Dec 2023 18:34:36
Westwood you hit the nail on the head. I am not good with words but try my best.
What you said is exactly my thought process. I look for negative situations in my football and day to day life and try my best to address them. If done correctly improvements can be made then I look for more.
No one is perfect especially me but I find if you find no negatives you can't improve yourself.

24.) 01 Jan 2024 10:43:46
No need to explain yourself to me NegRed. As I say doing what you describe is my literal job and company's pay me to help them in said fashion so I certainly get where you are coming from and agree it is fundamental to improvement, both in the self and your surroundings. Rather than a weakness as is being spouted i would counter it is a big strength to be self critical and critical of the things you love like our club. Very easy to just sit back and be happy but that's a very quick way of ensuring standards slip and getting left behind. First step of making something better is admitting it can be. If people decide to think your overly negative (probably being influenced by your sarcastic user name) then that's their issue in my book.

29 Dec 2023 08:22:25
Let's be honest everyone bar Alison is replaceable in our team. If one or two singings are available then why not buy if we have the money?
Somehow we're high up the league if a few extra players help keep us there then puts us in a good position for the next campaign. Get 6 months extra time to settle etc.

Negativeredwalter2.0

1.) 29 Dec 2023 09:12:42
Everyone is replaceable? Would you like to see Liverpool attempt what Chelsea are trying and replace large portions of the squad in hopes of future success when right now, with the squad they have right now are in the strongest position they could be going into the second half of the season?
Maybe then you would see the mid table position you seem to think Liverpool are destined for?
Its the norm now to clamour for new signings every opportunity but to say the whole squad are replaceable is disrespectful and shows a lack of knowledge about how delicate a balance squad harmony and morale can be.

2.) 29 Dec 2023 13:43:25
Out of curiosity who would you replace VVD with? There’s no centre back in the league I’d have.

Trent? You may get a more defensive full back but who brings what he does to the table?

Salah? Saka is class but there’s no right forward that brings the goals and assist he does.

Robbo?

Even Soboszlai who’s been off form but remains integral to our system and has the most ball recoveries in the league.

I agree with your point that we should look to improve the squad where possible - that’s a given for me and I imagine the club aren’t naive enough to dismiss it. It’s just about finding the right deals. But no need to dismiss the squad in the process to highlight a moot point.

3.) 29 Dec 2023 14:52:14
"Somehow we're high up in the league".

It's not somehow, but despite all the misgivings you have about the players, the manager and the team you supposedly support. It's because we've played better than the other teams up till the half way point of the season. The point totals don't lie, and luck has very little to do with it over an entire season.

4.) 29 Dec 2023 14:59:55
Negativeredwalter2.0, I literally stopped reading after the first few lines dismissing the squad quality and all that. Seriously, let the negativity go. It literally prevents you from enjoying the actual great stuff the team is doing.

5.) 29 Dec 2023 19:37:07
I'm still sticking with my point - Dependant on money available, any one of our players could be replaced.

6.) 29 Dec 2023 23:57:01
Your point is being made in a vacuum, bro as it lacks any type of context regarding the current state of affairs and the reality at LFC. Peace and Happy holidays!

I somewhat disagree with this individualistic style sentiment. The whole is greater than the small parts that make it up! People often forget that, first and foremost, it is a team game.

I’d rather not talk about any one of the players being replaceable because any replacement - as in our everyday world of work - needs to do their part for the team and CAN take time to settle or even not settle at all.

We’ve seen it over the years where teams of superstars fall flat as a unit, meaning they weren’t a. team after all!

I think this is what Klopp is good at, selecting not necessarily the “obvious” players but those that fit with his clear ability to build a well oiled machine of a team, one where all the parts work together.

When that happens (I.e. the build is a good one) then, replacements can disrupt!

Well for me I think this is the toughest period of matches coming up. I think this next game will go a long way in deciding our fate.
I am totally shocked to find us in 2nd place. Loving that we're high up the league, but a defeat to West Ham I feel will make our season implode.
I said beginning of the season we would be top ten to much amusement to many on here.

Obviously praying not but I think we've peaked for this season. This West Ham game for me goes along way to shaping the rest of the season.
From the points we've gathered to date will give us top six which is an improvement to my original thoughts.

West ham are rubbish away from home. Moyes to park a triple ducker bus. Can we break them?

2.) 18 Dec 2023 21:12:25
the perception that we have peaked is interesting. I would have thought most people would agree that we haven't hit anywhere near the best version of this team this season.
are you more thinking that our luck has run out for the rest of the season?

3.) 18 Dec 2023 21:53:43
Yeah, @Faith. It is very possible to be at your peak while at the same time, being a work in progress. So I guess in the second half of the season we will fall to midtable with no chance of improving, yeah? Seriosuly, this is what we are being afflicted with on a daily basis.

And this is coming from a guy who was lecturing me about a week ago to listen to Harry more cos there is a lot I could learn about football from him. Based on that line alone, I see what Negative Walter is learning from Harry, things I want absolutely nothing to do with.

4.) 19 Dec 2023 01:24:45
Oli - It does seem a bit of an odd thing to say.

I think this season is a bit of a lottery and it could drag on with each of the title-chasing teams having patches of consistent and inconsistent play.

in the summer my expectation was a title challenge on the assumption we were going to make one or two solid changes to the midfield that would help re-energize Hendo and Fab et al. But then we witnessed a midfield overhaul and I adjusted my expectations to being a top 4 challenge which I think was entirely reasonable given the experience we were losing from the middle of the park.

So for me we are tracking amazingly well and embedding the same old psyche with a new younger set of players. It all bodes well for me and that we are well in the chase nearing the halfway point is an awesome start.

5.) 19 Dec 2023 05:43:36
@Faith
Just in the below post you claim we have not lost anything with the departure of Hendo and Fabinho ?????. Losing the faith mate.

6.) 19 Dec 2023 08:27:12
This is the guy who said we'd be finishing mid table this season.
Now we're in 2nd place and still looking to get into our stride we're at risk of imploding over 1 game.
Comical stuff.

7.) 19 Dec 2023 08:47:58
Habibi, what time does the triple ducker bus arrive at Anfield, that's going to be worth seeing!

8.) 19 Dec 2023 09:11:18
I don't see us getting into our stride though, we've been quite poor and have been saved by some late goals.
We've got some issues to resolve and I'm not sure we have the time to fix them, midfield composition isn't working, especially with all the changes we're making week on week (some are forced by injuries) . The offense looks really out of whack, salah cutting in, diaz cutting in, trent into midfield, gomez and tsimikas with next to 0 end product. Means we are so focused on being central that its just not working.
The only positive in the last few weeks, is that the CB's don't look as bad as they did at the start of the season, hopefully konate can return a bit more to form.
But yeah I would see some points being dropped in the next month
2nd is irrelevant at this stage of the season, and form is more important for me, especially with how busy it is.

9.) 19 Dec 2023 09:06:47
The only important game is the next one, if we win or lose, the next game will always be the most important game.

10.) 19 Dec 2023 09:21:45
15 minutes before the kick off @Jack lol.

11.) 19 Dec 2023 09:42:57
Habibi - don’t think I mentioned Fabinho and Hendo in the below post. You’ll have to help me figure out which two different statements you’re connecting together to force your point.

12.) 19 Dec 2023 09:46:10
@Flash, are you surprised? Is this your first rodeo with Harry on here where he just spouts nonsense? The guy who said we will finish midtable, is now the guy telling us we won't win the title, something he himself NEVER said we would even challenge for. Same ol' schtick, different day.

He is like Donald Trump. If Trump tweets something, just go back a bit and you will find a tweet where he tweeted the exact opposite. Same for Gary Neville. If he says something now. Go back to the Sky Sports archives and you will find where he said the opposite. They should all hang out together.

13.) 19 Dec 2023 09:53:14
@Faith, it's not odd at all. It is absolute waffle and a clear contradiction cos those two statements cannot be true at the same time. If I am new on a job and still trying to find my way, how can I have reached my peak? Seriously, what are we doing here with such illogical stuff? Makes no sense at all, IMO.

Now to your point, I've been saying it as well that we are where we are in our rebuild and it is quite impressive even tho, we are a work in progress and we clearly have things to get better at which is pretty scary if you look at it as deeply as you have.

As for a title challenge, Klopp said it best. Give it till March and we will see if we are in a title challenge for real. Till then as @DeanW (spot on with your comment, btw) said, being 2nd is irrelevant at this point cos there is a whole lot that can still happen. All we need to do is focus on getting better every day and don't get too hyped up or too down with the results. Klopp isn't, clearly.

14.) 19 Dec 2023 11:40:38
Strange one this season lads - a point off the top and honestly not seeming to be playing to well if we're honest.

We do seem to keep grinding out results though which is good - it will be interesting to see if we can continue that and it will be very interesting to see if the team can hit a real bit of form as well.

Ali playing very well though as is VVD, which is good to see him back to a bit of form - midfield chipping in with goals too which we never had before

Salah having a decent season numbers wise again, though he has not been his mercurial best of late given the high standards he has hit

Diaz looks obviously affected with the unruly stuff that happened his father and Nunez, whilst working hard is not scoring at the minute - would love things to click again with our forward line and we will be truly lethal

Gonna be an interesting season lads and we should be in the mix.

15.) 19 Dec 2023 12:09:22
@faith

You say we have lost the energy after losing hendo and fabinho (a midfield overhaul) . a post below you say losing them has no relevance to us not beating UTD.
You can't have two ways. either we lost a great deal of influence of hendo and fabinho on all over the pitch and that includes scoring gaols or we don't care.

@Oli mate you are like a BOT. its either Ed01 or nobody lol and BTW Trump is winning again.

16.) 19 Dec 2023 12:12:04
There is no rebuild happening at LFc. you are talking trash @Oli. Whenever we lose posters comes up with this strange rebuild crap and when we win we quickly mvoe on to another.

We don't score goals - Its rebuild
We concede - Its Rebuild
we trashes a team - wow we are winning quadriple.

17.) 19 Dec 2023 13:06:39
Wow, never seen you so enraged, Harry. It doesn't look good on you btw cos the more you get triggered it seems, the worse you waffle. As they say in the States, "A hit dog will holler". I'm talking trash cos I say we are in a rebuild, something Klopp and many LFC fans know and openly say and accepted since end of last season? You said we would be midtable this season so essentially as things stand, you were wrong (shocking, I know) so why should anyone take you seriously, really? Bro, go figure yourself out first before trying to shout others down with your contradiction-filled waffle that make no sense to the average bear in the forest.

And if you actually read what I write, I have NEVER said we were in a title race and have always maintained that it is too early to say that cos well, we are in a rebuild. I have always said that by March, we will see if we are in a title race. And I have never used the rebuild as an excuse for not winning either. We are in a rebuild and we are well ahead of schedule atm. Deal with it.

18.) 19 Dec 2023 16:39:30
Think Oli v Harry needs its own page at this rate ?.

{Ed025's Note - this is not the Muppet show you know Taurus.. :)

19.) 19 Dec 2023 18:12:00
Ed025, I'm actually saddened that the "lovefest à trois" only lasted a weekend. ?. There was even an attempt to add a "fourth musketeer" (Negative Walter), but that was rebuffed. Now we're back to the same ole same ole, once again. ?.

{Ed025's Note - ahh well it was nice while it lasted ArAy, the season of good will has ended early it seems mate, Melchior, Balthazar and Caspar nearly had another wise man in Negative Walter so maybe thats a good thing.. :)

20.) 19 Dec 2023 18:41:52
@Habibi - Can you find where I said we lost energy when we lost Fabinho and Hendo? actually don't worry, I didn't say that.

You're connecting bits of and pieces of what I've written about two totally different discussion points and presenting them back incorrectly. I really can't be bothered trying to de-construct how you've interpreted what I've written to be honest.

Maybe bullet points are simpler:
* We lost a lot of experience in one transfer window
* I thought that would impact our ability to sustain a title challenge
* the absence of key leaders, in a silo of one game, imo, has little to no impact on a player's ability to score a goal in that game.
* sustaining a title challenge and analyzing our ability to score a goal in a single game are very different things.

hope that helps.

21.) 19 Dec 2023 21:43:46
Only Citeh and Spurs have outscored us this season (and currently have the best goal difference) - but we can't score goals.
Seems like a logical conclusion to me.

22.) 20 Dec 2023 05:51:36
@Faith
In a nutshell,
We lost two experienced players which doesn’t have any impact on the current playing eleven or our performances. Can we lock this here?

23.) 20 Dec 2023 05:53:02
By your logic Every team in this division is undergoing a rebuild including Manchester United ?????. Can you tell me which team is not undergoing a rebuild?

24.) 20 Dec 2023 08:05:19
Again, you're conflating two different points.
I'm not wasting another post trying to explain it.

As a resident in London for many a year now, I feel London has become a cess pit. It's truly disgusting.
I am no hard man but can look after myself, but I don't feel safe in London when on my own.
Even some of the more decent areas have become unrecognisable. There's so many scummy people that would kill you for your last watsit.
I have to travel with my kids regularly in central London and I am embarrassed they have to witness what the capital has become.

I did mention a few months ago that Alison might be off. I was in the cafe when a few lads were discussing it.
No one seemed to believe he might be going. I think we're in for a shock come end of the season in regards to transfer requests.

I personally feel it time for Diaz to move on. Not quite done enough and don't see him getting any better.
If a decent offer comes in I'd be happy to see him go. Works well for both the player and club.

Now to be fair I am a big fan of Nunez. However if his recent injuries continue I think we have seen the best of him.
Obviously I hope he's never injured but these type of injuries can really affect his play. He's not an out and out goal scorer.
So if he's not scoring goals and loses his pace and that bit of strength he won't bring enough to the pitch.

Salah my friend, turning it a notch or two isn't going to be enough. At least x5 improvement from all the team + Jürgen is needed.
I hope you have a joyous day and hopefully you can catch the highlights later.

I'll always be greatfull for what he's done but I do wish he left a few seasons ago.

At Oli and pecker I am sorry If you didn't understand my post. I never said we would win the league. if you recall I predicted a top ten finish this season.
That's why I believe the players mentioned by me to be sold can help us towards funding a team that can challenge for the league.

There's no way our club is valued at 4-7 billion unless you mean $ not £ wasn't we valued £3 billion after the league win?

@ the op I couldn't disagree anymore. Obviously I appreciate your opinion but for me to be challenging for the title we need Salah Diaz Nunez replacements. Not to mention at least 2 decent central defenders. I'd personally try and replace Jones also.
I know this will annoy a few but for me Trent needs to go too.
I've no idea how long these replacements would take but we won't be challenging anytime soon in my opinion without new players.
