Have any of the Ed's heard about any interest in shaq? Read a report saying Monaco are interested. Just wondered as I don't think he's been mentioned on the potential outs list.

{Ed001's Note - there has been a few inquiries during the summer. Shaqiri has said he wants to stay and fight for his place, so I don't think he will be going anywhere with the difficulty in signing a replacement.}

1.) 07 Aug 2019 16:22:44
Better to have someone who wants to fight for his place. Hopefully we can see early 18/ 19 season Shaq again.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 16:28:31
I would personally drive the lad their . I get the fact it’s hard to sign a replacement with such little time but surely their is an option outbtheir for us now unless klopp is being klopp again and quite clearly sees only certain players arriving . I felt the laziness crept in to his game towards the end
Of the season again . Hopefully if he stays he proves me wrong.

{Ed001's Note - actually at the end of the season he picked up his workrate after a dip midseason.}

3.) 07 Aug 2019 18:28:45
One of the better players when he got the chance.

4.) 07 Aug 2019 18:40:30
If they wanted him, they should have acted sooner. No doubt we'd have let him go for the right price and replaced him, but it's too late for us to do that properly now, so it's likely a non-starter.

5.) 08 Aug 2019 10:35:15
Sell him next summer for me if Wilson has shown enough at Bournemouth, ready made replacement.

6.) 12 Aug 2019 00:05:35
Personally think Shaq has a lot to offer if given the chance.

05 Jul 2019 19:22:56
So the Lille president has said to RMC sport that there has been discussions between lfc and Pepe reps. Seems a strange one as Ed002 has said that Pepe will leave this summer and don't see him getting in our first team.

Is there any reason for the president to make such a statement? Is he just trying to drum up some interest?

{Ed002's Note - He doesn't need to drum up interest. Nicolas Pepe (RW) three sides are in discussions with Lille and they have had two firm offers from one side and a tentative verbal offer from another. Liverpool has not spoken with Lille and have not submitted an offer if they did it would most likely be as a Salah replacement I would still not hold your breath.}

1.) 05 Jul 2019 20:19:05
Thanks for clarifying Ed.

Not too fussed about him tbh would rather Salah stay for a further year. Just wondered with the reports in France saying there president had said we had talked to Pepe. Obviously rubbish, probably miss quoted. Thanks again.

{Ed002's Note - I very much doubt Liverpool has talked directly with the player - but they have, as have many sides, spoken with his agent. Other sides have moved on to talk with Lille.}

2.) 05 Jul 2019 21:05:07
So we have spoken with his agent Ed to confirm a certain level of interest to the player. Can I ask please typically how and what might be said when agents are involved? Would it be a case if we have interest in your client. Would he be interested. What are his demands, and in this instance would he be available next year if or when Salah moves on?

Just not sure I fully understand us speaking to his agent if we are not looking at signing him this summer, also knowing that our chance will more than likely be gone as he will move elsewhere?

{Ed002's Note - Clubs and agents talk all of the time. Players are offered, clubs make enquiries - it is simply business as usual.}

3.) 05 Jul 2019 21:12:00
Thanks for the clarification. Hope you have a good weekend.

{Ed002's Note - And you - have a blast.}

4.) 05 Jul 2019 21:15:01
Ed02, it gives me joy when you're in this sort of mood. Your info is highly appreciated. Do have a lovely weekend.

{Ed002's Note - And you - keep it geasy.}

5.) 05 Jul 2019 21:17:53
Thanks Ed002.

6.) 05 Jul 2019 21:17:55
Ok Ed thanks for all your efforts as usual and replys to lots of questions today.

Enjoy your evening.

7.) 05 Jul 2019 22:22:47
Are there any Salah developments. We know his agent has been approaching clubs but have any of these approaches progressed any further?

8.) 06 Jul 2019 08:52:31
I don't think Salah will go this summer hence, the Pepe deal won't happen. Like a poster said earlier, I'd rather keep Salah for this season and should he go next season, we will have a whole season to find suitable replacement even tho I'm pretty sure they have been working on his replacement.

09 Jan 2019 23:22:27
Hey Ed's,

Noticed a poster on West Ham rumours IRONMIKE sometimes has decent / fairly reliable info on transfer. He's saying Liverpool have bid 65mil for Tarkowski I mean I really hope he's wrong on that one. Crazy fee.

Any Ed's bearing anything regarding that?

{Ed002's Note - No, of course not.}

1.) 10 Jan 2019 06:44:14
£65m for Tarkowski would be absolute madness. He’s barely a footballer. Championship standard player with one good season in his career.

2.) 10 Jan 2019 08:34:13
I haven't seen the lad play enough to have an opinion really, the few games I have seen, I've not been impressed one bit but Ed1 did a profile on him back in June, I'll trust his opinion on him and hope we stay well clear.

3.) 10 Jan 2019 09:49:09
Its all good guys i think he just forgot a decimal point.

4.) 10 Jan 2019 10:41:58
.65mil then?

5.) 10 Jan 2019 13:21:40
He may be avergae, but would an avergae youngish cb not be better than two who can’t play more than 5 games In a row. We’ve said even Matip and Lovren can look good next to Van Dijk!

6.) 10 Jan 2019 13:29:54
Nice one mk lol.

7.) 10 Jan 2019 14:43:26
I have never commented on a transfer rumour on this site before but if you give any credence to the nonsensical link to Tarkowski, totally fabricated by the worthless rag of a tabloid which we all despise and picked up by other lazy media outlets, then I suggest you seek urgent medical attention.

8.) 10 Jan 2019 23:38:19
Personally don't think he's good enough and I would worry if we spent that amount on him.

9.) 12 Jan 2019 11:39:53
VVD type money for Tarkowski, OP? You need to drop that WH poster as a decent source, mate cos clearly he is pulling your leg. I would not pay 6 pounds 5 pence for that poor, shambles of a footballer.

04 Jan 2019 16:08:17
Solanke confirmed to Bournemouth by LFC

Looks like around £19mill. Good deal all round. let's hope he gets the game time he needs but doesn't score against us in a few weeks :D.

04 Jan 2019 12:44:13
Sky reporting Clyne to Bournemouth on loan to end of the season agreed.

Hopefully regular games will kick start the guys career a little.

Seems papers like the times this evening saying government the last few days have asked sports organisations to step up preparations to return to action.

Date by paper was 1st of June but take that with a pinch of salt.

Some pretty radical plans of players staying in a hotel for 6 weeks to get the fixtures played.

Obviously they need to do what is safe but i am looking forward to watching football again even if it is Bundesliga.

1.) 26 Apr 2020 22:51:01
Aint happening season is over why is this to hard to understand.

2.) 27 Apr 2020 00:04:42
Its hard to understand because its not actually true, Andyjh. Noone has stated its over yet.

3.) 27 Apr 2020 10:08:03
If next season starts on time in August (and I think it may do), it will be behind closed doors.
So it could well be possible to also play behind closed doors in (possibly June), July and August to finish this season.
The break so far has been akin to a Summer break anyway, so they can still juggle next season a touch to allow sufficient rest, and that’s presuming the virus doesn’t intervene again next Winter.

{Ed002's Note - Next season will not begin in August under any ciorcumstances as that is set aside for something else as I have explained.}

4.) 27 Apr 2020 10:46:34
I don't get why people are clinging on to this nonsense the season is still on its over plain and simple. Next season will be delayed and may return behind closed doors but don't get your hopes up about this season as its DONE.

5.) 27 Apr 2020 10:50:28
Ok, thanks for clarifying that Ed.
So if this season runs to August, there is a chance it can get re-started before then.

{Ed002's Note - The drop dead date to complete all games for leagues across Europe remains July 31 - but you know that already some leagues are going to draw a line across before then.}

6.) 27 Apr 2020 20:33:42
Andyjh04, you could just let us know why you think the season will be voided (a non starter, according to Ed02) so we can have an honest debate about it instead of just chatting stuff with no points to back it up.

07 Jul 2019 08:58:40
Morning Ed's, seen a few times you've mentioned discussions re Naby keita and a loan / move? Is it worth asking if you could expand on who those discussions maybe with? Is there a serious possibility he could leave? I'd of liked him to be given another season but what do I know.

Or is it not worth opening that up at the moment. I know how at times things can escalate.

{Ed002's Note - No I haven't said that.}

1.) 07 Jul 2019 11:55:16
I think it was mentioned that may have to be an option if he fails to get a WP, which he will get if he passes the English test.

2.) 08 Jul 2019 16:27:13
How many times can he take the test? Can he take it every day until he gets it or are there set dates?

I know this is a hard one to answer but is there anything to suggest he is making decent progress?

{Ed002's Note - I guess if there is a way for Liverpool to cheat then they will.}

18 May 2019 13:25:28
Looks like Lloyd kelly going Bournemouth. Sky reporting 13mill fee agreed. Prob a good move for him in terms of playing time especially.

1.) 18 May 2019 13:39:54

2.) 18 May 2019 17:49:58
Why disappointing?

10 May 2019 21:22:08
Hi Ed's,

Not directly related to lfc but I value your opinions more than any other source. With sky sports reporting mino raiola ban is worldwide now. Do you think that'll make a big difference on the summer window? Seen reports he can still operate behind third parties so to speak is this true or is the ban pretty damning for his summer transfer activities?

{Ed002's Note - It makes no difference to the summer window with the exception of possibly one player.}

02 Jan 2019 09:28:35
Well that's the pulisic rumours to bed.

Chelsea confirmed €64million loaned back to the summer.

1.) 02 Jan 2019 09:35:38
Given Chelsea are famous to recoup big money on sales this deal is pretty good imo! They might recoup half of the amount by selling 30 year old willian!

2.) 02 Jan 2019 09:40:40
At least he didn’t join ManU 😜.

3.) 02 Jan 2019 10:29:52
Yeah seems like a good deal for Chelsea. Good young player with potential to get better. Guessing he's to replace pedro or willian so good deal for chelsea.

4.) 02 Jan 2019 13:37:18
That’s Hazard gone.

I don’t understand this transfer if we go for it. Unless they’re are concerned about Gomez fitness levels makes no sense as Gomez on his day is fantastic and him
And VVD play well together.

Makes much more sense to go for someone like Ben white though maybe due to HG he would command a high fee anyways.

{Ed002's Note - There has been interest in Ben White but it went nowhere.}

Paul Joyce reporting this morning that we’ll try for him in January. Be a great signing if we could get it over the line.

Agree Clyde think hell get the time if he needs too. Think Harvey would do great under Klopp and his team if hes willing to put the work in. Great time for a talented youngster to be joining his boy hood team imo.

He’s got to keep playing week in week out. Unless we can find away to do that I don’t see any sense in the move.

That makes sense. Everyone will of played the same amount of games then if the season is cancelled.

I actually think footballers should go back before schools.

I understand everyone has a choice to go back or not.

However it is obvious that the risk is a lot higher for the rest of the nation returning to work compared to top level footballers.

Millions of pounds will be spent on footballers work space and life to ensure they are as safe as possible inc regular deep cleans, testing every few days, isolated in hotels with team mates to reduce even further the risk of contracting, clubs will have staff that will enforce the rules to ensure they've done all they can.

Compared that to schools and other workspaces that will just put tape on the floor 2ms apart and encourage people to work different hours inc weekends or later into the evenings to reduce overcrowding etc.

Hopefully it is safe enough Juicer.

I don't thinkg it's football restarting behind closed doors that is going to lead in the R increasing. The packed London underground and public transport will have much more impact.

Difficult situation.
