Karius supposedly in talks with Greuther Furth from the Bundesliga over a move in January. Source: whoever is doing the commentary on the Dortmund game.

Oh Mane Mane

1.) 15 Dec 2021 21:42:19
Good luck to him. Hope he can rebuild his career.

2.) 16 Dec 2021 02:37:19
Agree VVVV - the lad paid a heavy, heavy price for one bad game and it was a game were he took a hefty smack on the head too.

Time for him to move on to hopefully better things.

3.) 16 Dec 2021 06:17:26
WDW, yes it may seem like he paid a heavy price for a very important game. It was very unfortunate but he needs to shoulder some responsibilities. If he doesn't feel fit to continue, he should have asked to be subbed out. So, ultimately he did cost us the game or at least he's the scapegoat.

He didn't do himself any favors as his loans stints did not work out well at all. So, I suppose that's why he doesn't really have suitors. I do pity him but he should just leave and try to restart his career.

4.) 16 Dec 2021 07:01:56
He was always iffy, we’re you ever confident with him between the sticks? The CL final just summed up that he wasn’t good enough and his after showed he didn’t really have the mentality to improve. Not good enough, earnt a lot of money, I’ll reserve my sympathies for those that deserve them.

5.) 16 Dec 2021 10:08:10
DAPred you do know what concussion is? The person carrying one does not know that. Good luck to the lad.

6.) 16 Dec 2021 12:14:09
I don't agree that he was always "iffy", Seano_. I thought he started his career here very well and at some points, I thought we had unearthed a gem, especially given his age when he arrived, he only just turned 25 after he got here.

I can excuse (but never forgive, sorry, that's just me! ) the CL final but he seems to be more interested in his image than his performances - LK1, social media etc.

That's why, IMO, he's never recovered from 2018 either with us or with other suiters. The most important attribute in any form of life is the few inches between the ears, and I just don't think Karius has the right approach.

I wish him well and I hope he learns what's really important.

7.) 16 Dec 2021 22:31:34
If he’d not been concussed and the game had taken a different path he would possibly be regarded a lot more kindly

As has been said @DA, someone who has been smacked on the head should be the last person on the planet to make a decision about fitness to carry on.

I think the ‘iffy’ is a retro thing to distance ourselves from ever thinking he wasn’t a bad goalie. He is nowhere near the best but he is by no means as bad as the story has it.

15 Aug 2021 16:40:24
Allison, Fabinho and Firmino to miss the Utd game after the international break. Quarantine.

Oh Mane Mane

1.) 15 Aug 2021 17:00:51
Is this serious?

2.) 15 Aug 2021 17:01:05
Isn't it only the Leeds game? If they came back to England straight away they could realistically play a part.

3.) 15 Aug 2021 17:04:30
Dont have to quarantine if double jabbed after tomorrow.

4.) 15 Aug 2021 17:05:15
Apparently so. Not good if it does turn out to be true.

5.) 15 Aug 2021 17:40:45
Pretty sure that Brazil is red listed, so they’d have to quarantine. Can’t even refuse to send them, thanks to FIFA. The thought of to Old Toilet without Alisson and Fabinho fills me with dread.

{Ed0666's Note - that’s why we bought Sanchez…oh wait 😱😢

6.) 15 Aug 2021 17:43:36
Is that true jkh1983?

7.) 15 Aug 2021 17:58:31
They will not be allowed to attend their internationals under FIFA C.V. rules so it will not be an issue. Jota will be alright because Portugal has switched their game to Italy but we have 4 other players impacted, including Naby playing in Guinea. Arsenal has 4 players impacted, City has 5, Tottenham has 4 and Everton has 5. I think most bosses will take the FIFA C.V. Rules option to not allow their players to go.

8.) 15 Aug 2021 18:00:09
Yes but it is for amber listed and those pinged. can't see it being allowed that we can be expected to be without 3 starting players due to this there will be changes even it that means a rescheduled date for the match.

9.) 15 Aug 2021 18:04:17
And even worse news is that they will be w/ o Fred!

10.) 15 Aug 2021 18:11:27
Thanks lads.

11.) 15 Aug 2021 17:58:35
Ed0666, Sanches have been injured anyway…oh wait!

{Ed0666's Note - yes I know I was being ironic.

12.) 15 Aug 2021 18:30:51
Reynard, FIFA have changed the rules apparently. So clubs can’t withhold players attending.

13.) 15 Aug 2021 19:05:28
VVVV - That's outrageous! It shouldn't be changed before the end of this year. If this is correct then I'd get a ruling from the government here to see if professional international players can receive a quarantine exemption based upon daily testing for the same period.

14.) 15 Aug 2021 17:22:25
Is this correct Ed’s?

{Ed002's Note - Players returning from Red List countries have to follow the guidance of the country they are returning to. Right now it would be yes.}

15.) 15 Aug 2021 17:22:25
Is this correct Ed’s?

16.) 15 Aug 2021 20:33:40
Scrap international games. Answer right there. Love final tournament football. Can live without it if damages bread and butter club football.

17.) 15 Aug 2021 20:39:18
Absolutely hate intl football leagues only starting back and we’ve this carry on.

18.) 15 Aug 2021 21:10:40
All of them can’t get in the Brazilian team. I am sure there is a way not to send them.

19.) 15 Aug 2021 23:18:07
Suppose the players want to go?

20.) 16 Aug 2021 08:12:24
We always seem to play them lot after an international break!

21.) 16 Aug 2021 12:43:13
Should we scrap the Champions League and world super cup? Or does that not count as international football?

22.) 16 Aug 2021 22:21:55
Surely there should be a caveat in the FIFA rules for this very scenario, why should club teams who pay the players wages be missing players for important games because of international games in the midst of a C.V., it’s ludicrous!

23.) 17 Aug 2021 06:43:43
Just play the internationals on FIFA 21. Or Zoom. Or not att all.

09 Aug 2021 18:12:55
No Phillips or Shaqiri in tonight's squad. Moves getting closer I wonder?

Oh Mane Mane

1.) 09 Aug 2021 18:16:33
Any update on Robs injury. Big loss if he is out for a long period.

{Ed025's Note - not yet jack..

2.) 09 Aug 2021 18:27:19
Neil Jones has mentioned that they may be on the way out, and as a result Liverpool have decided not to risk them. However he has also said that nothing is close yet.

Hope we move them on - as Shaq career has stagnated and Phillips will go the same way of he stays as 5th choice.

3.) 09 Aug 2021 19:37:32
Phillips won’t be 5th choice though, as Gomez and matip are consistent sick notes and we’re yet to see if konate is injury prone or not. VVD coming off a big injury as well, letting Phillips go over matip is extremely baffling to me. I know matip is the better player, but he’ll play less than a quarter of the season, what’s the point. Phillips earned his stripes and we reward him by letting him go. We even hesitated to play him in the first place over the likes of Rhys Williams, these are the times I question the decisions made, because they don’t seem to have any logic involved from an outsiders perspective.

4.) 09 Aug 2021 21:46:24
Kman - i understand your thinking. However i don't think Phillips wants to stay and be 5th choice and wait for Matip to get injured (which he most likely will) as then Konate or Gomez is likely to take the starting role, then you need Gomez to get injured and Konate will take the starting role and so forth.

therefore Phillips would need at least 2 of the starters to get injured to be first backup let alone start games and at his age and the season he just had, he probably feels it is the right time to move on, as he will have better suitors then if he stays a year as 4th/ 5th choice and hardly play as most teams will forget he even exists.

5.) 10 Aug 2021 22:15:27
Kman92, and what happens to Phillips if these two players actually stay fit or don’t miss that much time? You are aware that Phillips will only get a chance to play if both players are injured, right? Sorry, that is illogical, IMO.

There is simply no path for Phillips at LFC right now and it is the club’s job to do what is best for its players and do right by them. Phillips has earned the right to ply his trade in the PL at another PL club and the club should grant him his wish if that is what he wants, sick notes or not.

08 Aug 2021 17:30:29
Not great looking that for Robbo.

Oh Mane Mane

1.) 08 Aug 2021 17:47:45
At least he walked off, fingers crossed but we have great cover for him.

2.) 08 Aug 2021 18:27:30
not about being too pessimistic but didn't VVD walk off as well? he's as irreplacable: fingers crossed!

3.) 08 Aug 2021 18:27:38
I blame FSG for this. Should have another 3 left backs just in case.

4.) 08 Aug 2021 18:32:54
Van Djik walked off after he injured his knee and was out for the season so means nothing. Really hope it’s nothing serious though. Suppose tsimikas would finally get a run in the team though if he is out.

5.) 08 Aug 2021 18:56:03
Hope Robbo is ok. Didn’t look good. Still, it’s Tsimikas time to shine.

6.) 08 Aug 2021 19:29:38
I might be wrong but i remember someone saying on here that sometimes ye can walk on a knee initially even when you've done bad damage, very hard and painful to put weight on an ankle if you've done it badly.

7.) 08 Aug 2021 20:40:38
It didn’t look good chaps.

8.) 09 Aug 2021 05:03:37
Jadon Havertz, just for reference when I was skating in 2019 I rolled my ankle. The instant pain was intense, but within 2 minutes I was walking with full weight on my feet and no limp. I even walked up the hill from the skate park to the hospital at Winchester (If you've been to winchester you know that is a long, steep hill) to get it checked as I heard a "crack" when it rolled. Turns out I'd dislocated it and done damage to the ligaments in my ankle.

For around a year I felt no pain while walking but as soon as I tried to skate the pain was unreal.

So yeah, ankle injuries can be serious and still be a 'walk off' substitution.

9.) 09 Aug 2021 06:58:56
None of us would see tbe most critical bits which is hours after and how his ankle swells up.

Unless they have a compound fracture, it's not worth trying to speculate based on what you see on tv. At least its not worth expending stress and energy over ot.

{Ed001's Note - unless you are Bob Paisley, in which case you would already know exactly what the problem was!}

04 Jun 2021 18:21:11
Any truth in the rumour all the non Brazilian based players have withdrawn from Copa America duty due to C.V. concerns? From Twitter so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt.

Oh Mane Mane

1.) 04 Jun 2021 19:34:33
I think that was a rumour started by the Brazilian FA, OMM. They wanted to be sure of winning ;-)

Rafa on the brink. Big Sam to take it on a 2 and a half year deal.

Oh Mane Mane

{Ed0666's Note - I really really hope so

1.) 15 Jan 2022 19:45:58
2022/ 23 will probably be the biggest title challenge for years. Everton and Newcastle going toe to toe in the Championship 👀.

{Ed014's Note - 🤣🤣

2.) 15 Jan 2022 20:52:09
Brilliant JK!

3.) 16 Jan 2022 00:33:51
Personally I hope Rafa walks away from the Bitters and leaves them to their championship fate. He won’t because he’s not a quitter, but the issues go way beyond his influence. Shame to see someone who loves Liverpool the city stuck in a corner.

4.) 16 Jan 2022 07:02:34
Rafa will take Everton for a few mill compo 🤣.

5.) 16 Jan 2022 10:10:40
Read on the bbc page he’s stepping down and Duncan Ferguson is going to be caretaker? Really why do they just keep Benitez until they find someone.

6.) 16 Jan 2022 15:50:25
Rafa is officially gone. What a basketcase of a club.
Folks on here moaning about FSG and players they don't like should take a long hard look at what a mess that is across the park.
There but for the grace of God and all that.

7.) 16 Jan 2022 15:58:04
It'll be great when they're in the Championship, Flash. We can send them players on loan for development.

A bit of charity for our less fortunate neighbours.

8.) 16 Jan 2022 16:46:29
They do say charity begins at home SR!

9.) 16 Jan 2022 19:47:36
I said at the time that this would end on tears for all concerned.

10.) 16 Jan 2022 22:07:47
Arrogance of him to take the job was outstanding to be fair. Not one person who supports them wanted him.

{Ed0666's Note - Arrogant? He lives in the area, his wife loves living there, he was getting paid good money, he thought he could make a positive difference as he coaches football for a living how is he displaying arrogance. He was brave more than anything

15 Jan 2022 19:16:31
Cue the maybe we should have signed Phil shouts.

Oh Mane Mane

{Ed0666's Note - I was all for it till the end of season

1.) 15 Jan 2022 19:20:24
As was I. We don’t have that type of player and he scores goals.

2.) 15 Jan 2022 19:27:01
Stupid not to sign him. our mid is awful. what's there to loose.

{Ed0666's Note - about £250k a week 😂

3.) 15 Jan 2022 19:30:31
Coutinho for Balloon D'or.

4.) 15 Jan 2022 19:30:43
I'd have him back fully Ed0666 nevermind until the end of the season.

{Ed0666's Note - I’ll stick till end of season as he’s getting on a bit

5.) 15 Jan 2022 19:36:17
Villa bigger club than us now they can afford him we can't
. sad!

{Ed0666's Note - behave you weirdo

6.) 15 Jan 2022 19:44:38
He made his bed and lied in it. He forced his way out and his football career suffered despite his trophy cabinet increasing.

As a player though I’d like nothing more for it to work out at Villa for him and discover the form he’s had previously and look like he’s enjoying his football again. The fans who still slate him are usually the same ones who love to use the do you know what YNWA is when someone else dares to have a difference of opinion to theirs.

7.) 15 Jan 2022 19:55:09
Not at all what we need. We don’t play with a classic number 10. He’s too lame and weak to play in midfield and he’s too slow to play on the wings. Happy he scored against that lot, but he’s not the player we need, either in midfield or attack.

8.) 15 Jan 2022 19:54:54
Where are all these negative idiots coming from?! New names being so negative and downright stupid. Please turn it in.

9.) 15 Jan 2022 20:03:27
Like watching your wife run off with another man and rubbing your nose in it then looking to come home when she gets chucked out, good job klopp has a bit of pride stayed well clear.

10.) 15 Jan 2022 20:57:57
Like Klopp had any say in it.

11.) 15 Jan 2022 21:38:26
Port red the dream is she runs off mate. To be old, fat, ugly and single would be the dream.

12.) 15 Jan 2022 19:40:18
Eds0666 £250k a week for couts prob what we give thiago and naby and I know who I'd rather have. As I said r villa bigger than us now?!?!

13.) 16 Jan 2022 00:18:31
we should have sold thiago and keita last week in order to bring Coutinho in for 6 months.

14.) 16 Jan 2022 08:18:28
Sanchez mate, come on, are you 12?!

15.) 16 Jan 2022 10:20:45
No mate just seeing more ambition coming coming from so called smaller clubs than us. If we didn't have klopp we would be out of top 6 by now.

16.) 16 Jan 2022 14:17:17
All because the club didn't sign someone you want them to?

17.) 16 Jan 2022 16:32:22
Jeez this thread, is it for real or trolls. 'We should have sold Thiago and Keita to bring Couts in for 6 months' - this kinda rubbish just can't be serious 🤣🤣🤣.

18.) 16 Jan 2022 17:01:27
Here we go VVVV the manager at it again. We only play one system at the minute, hence why we’ve struggled to break teams down. We need other options, he is that. Although I’m sure you can tell us all what he had for breakfast.

19.) 16 Jan 2022 19:56:25
Cou’s back seems to have been okay after all or did it flair up again? The guy reportedly paid 10m of his own money to push the deal to Barcelona thru, he couldn’t get out of here fast enuff. IMO, the guy is NOT welcome here and he has found his level at the mighty Villa and long should he stay NOWHERE near Anfield.

Sorry, he made his bed and needs to lie in it. We became a better team without him which took some doing at the time and we won the BIG ones right after. If his dream move turned into a nightmare then, I propose he seek counseling. LFC are not a rehab center.

20.) 19 Jan 2022 01:17:41
Definitely not serious Bill lol hang about mate haha.

03 Jan 2022 17:58:03
Anyone know what Origi's injury is? Hasn't been seen since the cameo against Wolves.

Oh Mane Mane

1.) 03 Jan 2022 18:04:24
Not heard anything but it couldn’t have come at a worse time. Is Mino also injured? I’m pretty sure Klopp has upset a witch doctor somewhere. Last season it was centre half’s. Few weeks ago centre mids and now forwards.

2.) 03 Jan 2022 18:28:48
Jk23 you are talking rubbish our main three strikes have been fit pretty much every game, Mini should be back Thursday, Divvy close to return, ok Bobby as had his hamstring issues but why do our fans always make dramas.

3.) 03 Jan 2022 19:02:40
Whose making a drama Mighty reds? There's been no update on Origi since he dropped out of the squad. As for Taki I just assumed he'd C.V.

4.) 03 Jan 2022 19:05:25
Mighty it was a joke on a banter site. I bet you almost choked on your vegan sandwich with anger reading my post.

5.) 03 Jan 2022 20:40:35
Jk accept my apology mate, just hate it when we turn into whingers, ok maybe we are not top but I love watching this side.

6.) 03 Jan 2022 21:03:47
Mighty no worries mate. I love watching this side also. It’s a massive opportunity for Mino and Origi to get some serious game time over the next month. Hopefully both take that opportunity with both hands.

7.) 03 Jan 2022 21:35:39
I think Mino is injured, as well I read somewhere.

8.) 04 Jan 2022 07:03:29
The vegan thing, not necessary.

9.) 04 Jan 2022 08:09:45
Martolfc agree to disagree on that one then.

31 Dec 2021 13:11:49
3 more out for Sunday. Allison one of them.

Oh Mane Mane

1.) 31 Dec 2021 13:39:42
I think Bobbys is the other. Not sure on third.

2.) 31 Dec 2021 13:55:57
Might not be a bad thing for Alisson he could do with a reset and refresh. Is the Steven calker that’s been called up to Sierra Leone squad the same that stared for us as a striker? Also has Lukaku been taking a truth serum what a complete bell. Happy new year everyone how many variants will next year hold I am going for 4 maybe 5 exciting times hey? Good luck everyone.

3.) 31 Dec 2021 13:50:56
Adrian the third although I’ve never seen him catch anything in a Liverpool shirt 🤣.

4.) 31 Dec 2021 14:06:16
Well that's unwelcome news, .

5.) 31 Dec 2021 14:23:47
I agree Allison needs a reset and taking out of the firing line.

6.) 31 Dec 2021 14:23:47
I agree Allison needs a reset and taking out of the firing line.

7.) 31 Dec 2021 16:01:49
Not for the Chelsea game though he doesn’t need a rest.

8.) 31 Dec 2021 18:18:21
Cant disagree more. Becker will be a massive miss against Chelsea, agreed he has had a few erratic moments of late but we are certainly weaker when his name is not on the team sheet.

27 Dec 2021 20:12:48
As we're about to enter the new year please spare a thought for the Ed's who are going to be asked the same question over and over. Thanks for all the information folks 👍.

Oh Mane Mane

1.) 27 Dec 2021 20:24:46
So are we going to sign Bissouma or what?

2.) 27 Dec 2021 20:25:07
It's always fun seeing what obscure links people have found when trawling through Tw@tter and the many football websites.
It's a shame that some of them get unpleasant when they find out the club won't be signing that particular player, like the Eds have any say in the matter or it's their fault.
It takes all sorts though.

3.) 27 Dec 2021 21:22:02
Yes WDW he wasn't in the Brighton squad last night so it's absolutely nailed on.

4.) 27 Dec 2021 21:33:39
You boys must have been great fun in the pub before the internet came along. No talk of transfers in here please. Drink your pint and be quiet 😜.

5.) 27 Dec 2021 21:24:39
If I was the Ed’s it just close it down (the site) for the transfer window lol. Ed2 gives a clear breakdown of who the interest is in etc but will get the brunt of the nonsense if we don’t sign anyone and Man U bring back Rio Ferdinand to help the fridge in defence.

Remember when they brought Ronaldo back and they where favourites for the title above us….

6.) 27 Dec 2021 22:05:47
JK23 I'm that old that I remember when the first you knew of a transfer was the player holding a scarf above his head in a picture on the back page. Simpler times mate.

7.) 27 Dec 2021 22:22:04
Oh mane mane. The good old days. Before transfer windows as well.

8.) 27 Dec 2021 22:28:44
Spot on OMM.

Anybody who thinks that twitter is better than a full blooded discussion down the pub when ‘our Anthony know’s a fella who works in the players canteen and they mentioned a lad from Scunthorpe called Kevin summat is signing’ hasn’t lived.

If someone in the pub called you a soft so-and-so, someone bought another round, someone else told you both to stop talking soft and you often as not moved on to the next daft conversation. On social media, you don’t get the tone (usually humorous) and you don’t necessarily get the meaning of what’s being said either. If it was a mate in a pub the usual response was / is ‘what are you on about soft lad? ’ But on social media it is straight to keyboard warfare. Which is what OMM was referring to in the OP I think.

9.) 27 Dec 2021 22:41:04
WDW can’t really argue with that. I don’t use Twitter or social media and only come onto this site to discuss Footie.

10.) 28 Dec 2021 11:24:57
Same JK I have a business page on facebook and Instagram but sterr well clear personally.

{Ed0666's Note - Arrogant? He lives in the area, his wife loves living there, he was getting paid good money, he thought he could make a positive difference as he coaches football for a living how is he displaying arrogance. He was brave more than anything

Needs to go like the AFCON. No goalkeeper? Tough, put an outfield player in. And for what it's worth Arsenal were not in "uproar over it", a bunch of numpties on Twatter were crying like they would've made their debut had it been on.
