Is there any other midfield player that Liv have interest right now eds? de paul already move to athletico, bissouma might be too pricey and neuhaus you say might not be available.

mfahmee2

{Ed002's Note - Bissouma remains the first choice - they will need to consider what players they have on the books and consider the likes of Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Grujic and work with what they have.}

1.) 22 Jun 2021 13:45:14
Ed002, do you believe either Ox or Keita need to move on before Bissouma could join the club? I find it hard to believe that we're going to be able to sell Awoniyi, Grujic, Minamino, Origi, Shaqiri, and Wilson and "finance the summer" that way. We've been trying to sell most of those guys for years.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool need to raise funds and if they don’t then they will have to make do with the players they have.}

2.) 22 Jun 2021 13:48:36
By comparison, FYI, Man City only had 5 HG players in their updated EPL squad for 20/ 21 - Ake, Carson, Raheem, John Stones and Kyle Walker - and it didn't do them any harm.

3.) 22 Jun 2021 20:52:48
Ake is dutch.

4.) 23 Jun 2021 11:00:45
Homegrown is about how many years spent training in an FA academy while they are young, it's not a nationality thing.

5.) 24 Jun 2021 13:58:55
Ironic that you can be an England or Wales international and not home grown. Seems like a loophole they should probably close.

{Ed002's Note - They are certainly not going to be changing that.}

Just out of curiousity for people from UK because im not one, if ever england win this euro will gareth southgate become Sir gareth southgate?

mfahmee2

1.) 08 Jul 2021 05:33:44
Yea of course 100%. If.

2.) 08 Jul 2021 07:52:39
When…I hope.

3.) 08 Jul 2021 10:42:39
Knight them all, it means nothing anymore.

4.) 08 Jul 2021 11:26:20
He's a well paid manager of a football team. A knighthood? I know people who walk the streets of a night handing out blankets to people sleeping in doorways and buying them food. People that open their homes to vulnerable kids.
Sorry, I know it's not his fault. Just feeling more and more dismayed with what is valued in society today.

A question ed002 if you were around regarding transfer. when a club pay for a player transfer in installment, what happen when the said player is sold to another club on the next transfer window? what will happen to rest of the payment? will the club still need to pay for the rest of payment.

mfahmee2

{Ed002's Note - Yes the club still have to pay what is owed.}

Hello eds. you once said before that milner might want to go back to leeds if they manage to get promotion to the premier league. is that still the case now that leeds is in premier league next season?

mfahmee2

{Ed001's Note - you would need to ask Milner that question, but I doubt he could answer it right now. He has always said that he would like to return to Leeds to end his career there and so it is a possibility. However he is very happy with Liverpool and just signed a contract extension so I would think it unlikely now.}

1.) 18 Jul 2020 08:45:14
Good to see Leeds finally back up.
How do you think they’ll get on Ed, and how about vs Liverpool?
I wonder if playing counter-attacking Premiership teams every week may take its toll on them, especially after Xmas?
I think that they could get a few hammerings, and quite possibly off us?

{Ed001's Note - impossible to say until we see the transfer business they do, but it will be easier for them physically than the Championship. They will have 10 less matches to play, so they should be able to maintain their press. I doubt Bielsa would allow his players to bottle the press like Norwich and Huddersfield did when they came up and it cost them a place (eventually in 'Uddersfield's case). Bielsa is the key there and you can never tell what he will do.}

2.) 18 Jul 2020 10:49:55
Im happy they are up, I think they're going to be quite dangerous next season, I really do. Good luck to them.

3.) 18 Jul 2020 12:25:04
Yeah, I think they will be like Wolves when they first came back up. Very dangerous.

4.) 18 Jul 2020 12:59:14
Bielsa is quite a character and will add some added spice to the Manager's currently operating in the PL.

Hello,

I have a question for ed002.are Liv far away from being a self sustainable club in term of financial? maybe in term of debt and where the owner don't have to inject their own money into Liv finance. i understand if you don't want to answer this question.

mfahmee2

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are now in good financial shape but are living close to the edge - hence the issues the club face now.}

1.) 11 Jul 2020 12:23:59
Living close to the edge is never a good thing. it is too risky especially in term of financial stability. the C.V. might have make it worse. im hoping that at least we are moving in the right direction in term of being a self sustainable club. thanks for the reply ed. have a good day.

2.) 11 Jul 2020 13:47:52
The health of the club should come first before anything else and living on the edge is the best way to go over the edge, IMO.

Hello eds n fellow reds,

I have a question. this football season will end on late august or early september right? will this be a normal for next couple of seasons or will we get back to normal schedule of finishing football season ending on june as usual? and how does each major football league manage their schedule for this to happen?

mfahmee2

{Ed002's Note - This season will end before the end of July. August will be used to wash up cup tournaments and carry out a pre-season. Next season has to start by September 12 in order to complete on time.}

1.) 06 Jul 2020 10:50:22
So does that mean less time for pre season and also no winter break?

{Ed002's Note - Clubs don't need a long pre-season as they are training and playing during July. Some have games in August but the season must start by September 12. The midseason break will be as planned.}

2.) 06 Jul 2020 14:48:34
If the midseason break is going through as plan then there will be some months where there will be hectic schedule i guess. thanks for the reply ed. have a good day.

{Ed002's Note - No, it simply adds one week to the schedule. It is the late start that makes it busy.}

Oh well we all know that Saul is the best player on that list by far. getting him is like a fantasy but we all can dream.

Ed001, what are your thought on him? your assesment on player never wrong.

mfahmee2

{Ed001's Note - he looked exceptional before moving there, then he struggled initially to break into the team but I haven't seen him much since then. The little I have seen did not suggest anything special, just looked decent. He would not be my choice based on that.}

Ed when you say that Liv may look elsewhere n not going for konate, is there any new starter cb that Liv have look at? reading past post the only other name is ben white n he is pricey as you said.

mfahmee2

{Ed002's Note - I have mentioned a couple before who may still be of interest. Kalidou Koulibaly, Sven Botman and David Carmo.}

That is a shame, he seems to be a quite good young player. Ed, who is Liv first choice target for the AM position that is affordable right now other than the one you already mention in rashicha and brandt?

mfahmee2

{Ed002's Note - The situation is such that Liverpool may stick with what they have and use Minamino in that role.}

Ed002, if i'm not mistaken you say that Lyon aouar could be a good option for AM position that Liv need. my question if whether Liv could afford him if we manage to sell a couple of our player because he seem to be quite pricey plus dealing with Lyon is hard? also do Liv actually have any interest in him as of now?

mfahmee2

{Ed002's Note - He would be a great option but I am afraid it is not going to happen, Lyon are difficult to deal with at the best of times but the player has made it clear that he would like to try his luck in Italy.}

Ignoring the wage n financial stuff, who would choose between bissouma n saul ed for our team?

mfahmee2

{Ed001's Note - Saul mate. Always would choose him, he is one of the best midfielders in the world and doesn't go to the AFCON.}

Do you have player profile on him ed?

mfahmee2

{Ed001's Note - there is one: Saul Niguez profile but it is over 2 years old so I have added him to the list for a new one.}

Actually i think that the odds of we signing Mbappe is lower than that of Everton winning the league.

Well at that time there is no C.V. so most clubs doesn't have financial problems as right now don't you think. i remember lazar markovic. we keep loaning him over and over again and in the end he left for free. why? because nobody want to pay our asking price. instead of getting whatever money we can get for him, we got nothing.
