I believe 15 more wins from our remaining 22 league fixtures would win us the title. I've come to this conclusion assuming Leicester have a 15 game run identical to their current record this season putting them on 70 points, I guessed a fair average for the remaining 8 games of their season if they achieved their identical record would be another 20 points, just over 2 points per game.

Thus leaving us needing 91 points for the title. We currently have 46 from 16 games meaning a further 15 wins puts us on a minimum of 91 points and more importantly leaving 7 fixtures in which a slip up or 4 wouldn't impact our chances at all only narrow the margin of victory. Of course we play Leicester still and the result of that game will play no significance as long as they lose and draw in 2 other of their next 15 fixtures (highly likely) .

In short this team, this squad, this manager have such a high probability of winning the title from this position we may as well start to plan our tattoos now. Let's imagine we lose at WHL, Goodison and the emptihad. That still leaves 4 games in which we can lose and still reach 91 points draw a couple and it's 93+. Basically I expect Leicester to drop off but I've planned for them not to.

I expect City to keep bumbling along as they are they do not look capable of winning 5 of the spin atm let alone the next 20 and every game that goes bye they need to add another win on the end of it to keep pace. From this point its a 2 horse race and one horse has a big advantage in every single department of a football club on and off the pitch. This is finally our year doubters to believers.

Have you informed klopp of your findings? They might stay out in Qatar for a few more weeks when they realise they've already won the league.

2.) 08 Dec 2019 08:56:10
The title is not won until it is mathematically impossible to lose. There is no point getting ahead of ourselves. We need to take it one game at a time.

3.) 08 Dec 2019 10:12:53
These were the exact same posts that were on this site around Christmas last year and look what happened! One particular poster spent all of last season claiming the title was won and now he doesn’t post as frequently because he was so embarrassed! There is a big game to win Tuesday night so focus needs to be on that and forget about the league for now.

4.) 08 Dec 2019 10:16:38
Klopp would lose his sheep if he read something like this for sure! As Lamborini said one game at a time has got us to this position. And let's keep that mentality.

5.) 08 Dec 2019 11:49:04
I think you need to get out a bit more Jezza.

6.) 08 Dec 2019 13:20:17
It’s not just the EPL we are after.

We need to retain our title of Champions of Europe.

One game at a time.

Maintain the intensity and let’s see where it takes us.

7.) 08 Dec 2019 17:06:39
Let's hope you're right Jezza mate. Let's win the next 15 games, wrap up the title in March, then concentrate on the CL and the FA cup!

8.) 08 Dec 2019 17:37:21
1st mystic meg post I’ve seen in a long time absolutely can’t stand these post I thought fans learnt a lesson coundting up points and wins before a ball is kicked!

9.) 08 Dec 2019 22:45:09
The Wombats exactly right the poster in question is never right and shot his mouth off on a daily basis. We should all take nothing for granted and take each game as they come.

But it is great to be supporting such a quality side led by a great manager.

10.) 08 Dec 2019 22:50:01
Let’s not discount Man City just yet. They are more than capable of winning every last game of this season.

Far too early to start believing, yes it’s ours to lose and we are strong favourites but let’s see how the squad gets through the next few months first, we will need to rotate, first signs of this rotation has been positive but a couple of loses and panic could set in so I’m not getting that tattoo just yet.

Leicester will also have to utilise their squad in the coming months and they are currently very reliant on a couple of players so we will see how they get on with that.

Man City like I said above are more than capable of pulling it together and winning every last game so no way can they be ruled out yet.

Chelsea have a very outside chance but I can’t see them leapfrogging all 3 teams.

If I was a betting man I would bet on us to win the league but I wouldn’t put the house on it.

11.) 09 Dec 2019 09:14:26
Spot on Mark, although it’s strange not seeing ‘have a nice day ‘ under the review of the day article lol.

12.) 09 Dec 2019 10:03:03
My response to Jezza Kyle and others is:
RB Salzburg tomorrow!
That should be our one and only focus at the moment, not 91 points and record breaking season. You have no idea what would happen to this squad and team morale if that game in Salzburg don't go well. So, I'd stay away from any permutations and let's qualify for the next round of the Champions league first.

13.) 09 Dec 2019 10:34:17
I agree Noski. I'm a little worried about tomorrow to be honest.

14.) 09 Dec 2019 13:24:14
nothing at all comes easy in the best league in the world. never ever ever ever take anything for granted. the last time we put man city in a position where they had to win out, they did. 99 points was a historically great total last year, and all it got us was to be used a question in the next edition of Trivial Pursuit!

15.) 10 Dec 2019 13:24:38
My main reason for posting this was so that our notorious negative fans don't all lose their heads if we lose 3 or 4 games and in doing so disable the team on the pitch. I'm not counting points im making a prediction with the idea of preventing all the we've bottled it posts the day we lose or draw. If we lose 6 in a row starting Saturday I believe we will still win the title so keep your heads stay calm this team can do it and our reaction to bumps in the road can influence the result.

16.) 11 Dec 2019 14:47:06
Stats and averages are great at this time of the year, if we could keep up our current run we could end up with 109 points and City would end up with 76.
Now, is there ONE person on this site who thinks this might happen? If there is STOP taking the yellow pills and START taking the blue ones like you were told to.

Fun note: if it was true Utd would end up in 5th with 57 points, 52 points behind! Actually that could happen. :)

07 Aug 2018 19:14:36
No joe Gomez in the squad tonight. Injured? Looks like we might end up playing Phillips v West Ham.

Jezza kyle

1.) 07 Aug 2018 21:09:15
I think Fabinho is more likely to play if desperate, Gomez may just be rested for precaution.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 21:33:42
U are kidding me Gomez injured that's crap I hope not won't lovren be ready or last resort klavan, it's mad we haven't learned from last season this current squad is vulnerable too injuries I am talking bout the original players from last season matip, Gomez, lovren, matip, lallana, clyne, sturridge, even Henderson at times with his heel problem, there's 7 players who are in danger of any time picking up injuries that will hurt us, I still think we are short of another defender and flexible attacker for front 3 don't get me wrong been a great market for us but can't help feeling we will regret not going all out .

3.) 07 Aug 2018 22:47:16
How many more you want to buy?

4.) 07 Aug 2018 23:15:51
2 a defender and an attacker, when we finished last season we needed a def mid, a no 10, a keeper, a midfielder, cover for front 3 and a central defender all ours made of glass.

5.) 08 Aug 2018 01:52:29
You do realise there’s a 25 member squad limit?

6.) 08 Aug 2018 06:44:01
HAHA. you just about named our whole squad . and matip twice lol.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 10:09:43
If we buy to many players for the ‘what if’ scenarios then what’s the point in having the youngsters? They need to see a way into the first team.
We need to sell now, not buy.

8.) 08 Aug 2018 10:40:35
Klopp has said Gomez is fine, relax.

01 Jul 2018 15:10:08
Ed002 anything new on Laxalt? I saw him play for the first time yesterday and was very impressed! I remember you saying a while ago he might be an option.

Jezza kyle

{Ed002's Note - Lazio has a declared interest.}

1.) 01 Jul 2018 19:56:04
He has a silly enough haircut for LFC. Must be nailed on.

15 Feb 2018 14:47:06
I have an in with James Maddison and it looks like he's going to Arsenal. He's been linked with a £30m bid from us in the papers.

Jezza kyle

1.) 15 Feb 2018 15:12:21
who? But seriously 30 million, the can have him.

2.) 15 Feb 2018 15:54:57
Cheers for the rumour. Arsenal can bed him in and we’ll sign him in 5 years 🤝.

3.) 15 Feb 2018 15:55:00
We aren’t actually interested just the papers saying so and coming up with the figures. The player thinks he’s going to Arsenal.

4.) 15 Feb 2018 16:17:25
Why does it not surprise me that Jeremy Kyle has strong contacts in Norwich?

"Is my mum actually my Sister"

5.) 15 Feb 2018 16:25:29
Is it not Trisha with contacts in Norwich?

6.) 15 Feb 2018 19:18:00
Maddison is probably the best player in the championship not sure if he's worth 30 million but who knows in today's crazy transfer market. And MK I'm from Norwich and just because I'm married to my sister what's the problem.

7.) 15 Feb 2018 20:10:59
How's ya bruncle ace.

8.) 15 Feb 2018 21:26:01
All good p1.

9.) 16 Feb 2018 10:20:02
High 6 to that one.

10.) 16 Feb 2018 18:57:21
Brandt new, spilt beer on that one. 😅.

03 Oct 2017 15:48:38
Again after the international break we're on at 12:30 on a Saturday morning! How on earth do they get away with this? Last time we played 12:30 on a Saturday after an international break we lost 5-0. Is it really rocket science to move that game to a Sunday afternoon? Let Swansea play Huddersfield Saturday morning and move Liverpool Man U to Sunday.

Jezza kyle

{Ed025's Note - ahh diddums, its the same for both teams jezza and its just another excuse ready for if things go tits up mate..

1.) 03 Oct 2017 18:01:05
Jezza has a fair point swansea and huddersfield will have less players away on international duty stop bein an ass ed25.

{Ed025's Note - no you stop thinking that liverpool should get preferential treatment because they were good 30 years ago you prat!..

2.) 03 Oct 2017 18:01:24
We always bloody lose when the temperature is between 11 and 13 degrees as well, just you watch it will be 12 degrees and we will lose, absolute joke. 😂.

{Ed025's Note - heaters are the future mikey..

3.) 03 Oct 2017 18:09:17
Im not thinkin of lfc both manutd and lfc have more players on int. Duty your the pratt seein what you want to see.

{Ed025's Note - im not the one complaining kloppcat, ok then give them 3 weeks off to charge their batteries, most of them wont play 90 mins on thursday and they are finely tuned athletes so whats your problem?

4.) 03 Oct 2017 18:20:35
Plus lfc v manutd is the one of biggest games of the year and should be the sunday 4pm game.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think thats your decision to make mate..

5.) 03 Oct 2017 19:58:41
Get a room you two.

6.) 03 Oct 2017 20:46:34
Assume it's also got something to do with not giving the attending fans a chance to get tanked up beforehand.

7.) 03 Oct 2017 21:15:55
I don't think he wants preferential treatment ed just to be treated the same as everyone else. There's no doubt it's a disadvantage to play early on the Saturday after an international break and we had it after the last International break so why make us do it again? So why put us at a disadvantage twice in a month when everyone else gets extra time to prepare? It's a valid point.
I can see why you don't care you'd have us playing on the Friday morning at 6am if you could but for us it doesn't seem fair.
Just because we are one of the biggest clubs in Europe and people want to see us play our games are moved to inconvenient times. But you just wouldn't understand that would you ;-)

{Ed025's Note - "were" one of the biggest seems more apt ings, because of the money sky are putting into the game they have the right to decide when clubs play, its a big game david at home to goliath and the target audience will be mainly asia, thats just the way it is im afraid mate..

8.) 03 Oct 2017 21:31:34
Ed25 you made a point which should have shut everybody up. They are finely tuned athletes. And on top of that paid millions per year for it.
Blaming the international break is literally an excuse because they are still doing their job, playing professional football. it’s not like the summer breaks when they play literally no football at all except maybe a kick around with their kids or w. e.
And it’s not just our players who are playing internationally either is it?

{Ed025's Note - your dead right phil, at their age i was paving by day, training twice a week and playing saturday and sunday, the only thing that bothered me was ear ache from my bird mate..

9.) 03 Oct 2017 21:35:04
The biggest game in the premier league between England's 2 most decorated clubs. It's a massive game as both teams are hugely supported worldwide so they are of course after the audience. I understand it but still don't think it's right that just because of our worldwide draw we get pushed from pillar to post. Could be worse though we could be a team no one wants to watch like you muppets!

{Ed025's Note - your right ings, but if we were on tv i would hate to think that "the peoples club" supporters would bawl their eyes out like 10 year old girls saying "why is it always us", "its not fair","boo hoo"..grow a set will ya mate..

10.) 03 Oct 2017 22:18:40
Time we stopped making excuses and doing the business on the pitch.

11.) 03 Oct 2017 22:11:50
Bitterness runs deep.

12.) 04 Oct 2017 01:01:44
An article says lfc players will travel @76k miles, utd 68k hudddersfield 28k (got a couple of auzzies in team) and swansea 8k. makes no sense havin lfc v utd the early kick off.

13.) 04 Oct 2017 01:22:20
No bitterness, just reality - why should the schedule be set to make it easier for any one club over another. no excuses, same for both teams, let's just get on with it and smash the mancs or we only have ourselves to blame.

14.) 03 Oct 2017 22:07:17
God ed025, surely you should know by now that the fixture makers and tv studios are against LFC becoming great again and the only reason we aren’t is every bodies fault except our own?!?! 😂.

{Ed025's Note - i completely forgot about that westwood..

15.) 04 Oct 2017 08:44:35
In fairness, Liverpool will be in the exact same boat as United. It would be much less fair if it was, for example, Liverpool/ United vs Huddersfield where a bunch of players would have played 36 hours ago for one side, but the other would have had 2 weeks off.

16.) 04 Oct 2017 09:43:09
Be Positive boys we haven't lost a game in October in 7 years. Mooreen will park the bus happy days, just deal with the next game but be positive!

17.) 04 Oct 2017 16:59:21
It’s the same for both teams. Facts are that if they win it will be down to our poor defending and lack of quality in midfield as always, not the time of kick off. And let’s face it, on form they’re likely to batter us whatever time the kick off is at the moment,

18.) 04 Oct 2017 18:22:15
It makes no difference as the only team we will be playing is the team that also kick off at 12:30.

Get a grip, it's the same for both sides.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely mate..

19.) 05 Oct 2017 00:31:26
As an Aussie fan I'm pretty happy with the 12:30 kick off. Makes it a watchable time here.

20.) 06 Oct 2017 01:22:00
What are the busses like that time of the morning?

I really like the chant some clubs have about so an so had a dream to build a football team etc etc think it'd be pretty class to borrow the tune for one of our own so can someone be smart and make one better than this.

Jurgen had a dream to build our football team, came from Dortmund and now he's one of our own, front three in attack, van dijk at the back, champions of Europe, you'll never be that.

Everyone pop over to the Man Utd page it's getting quite funny! They can't wait for another season of fellaini starting in central midfield.

1.) 07 Aug 2018 01:00:21
I'm sorry mate but why on earth would anybody want to go near their site.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 05:47:27
£40m odd for him? Talk about inflated prices. Big dozy clumsy sauasage wins World Cup and his price rockets. The money in the game is stupid now there's no way pogba can justify £40 million Barcelona must be desperate for reserve players.

3.) 07 Aug 2018 06:20:14
It is worth popping over if you want some humour to brighten up the day.

I thought we could moan and groan 😂.

4.) 07 Aug 2018 09:53:32
I went over there and to Chelsea's for an hour or so last night. They are not happy. I know this is the Liverpool page Eds, but why are Man Utd not really spending the bucks yet (with 2 days to go)? There were murky suggestions that they know that Mourinho has a very poor record of lasting more than 3 seasons and they don't want to sign more players who turn out to be unwanted when he inevitably leaves. Any truth to this?

{Ed002's Note - Try the MU page.}

5.) 07 Aug 2018 10:49:10
I know. Some clown was saying.
"so we paid 89 for pogba, after the wc he must be worth 150mil now"

How is a player who has not lived up to expectation at 89mil suddenly worth an extra 60mil!

In fact I'd probably value him at about 60mil, and ghats Coz of his potential.

I'd be interested to hear what overs value pogba at?

6.) 07 Aug 2018 11:03:01
Ok, cheers ed, will do.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 02:09:26
Someone over there said Pogba is better than Coutinho. They havr some lunatics roaming on their page.

28 Jul 2018 19:11:21
Chelsea and inter are currently playing on the undercard to Liverpool v Man Utd later by the looks of it it's behind closed doors.

Jezza kyle

25 Jul 2018 20:13:52
Liverpool have been rocked by the news on the total €8000 fine from uefa for fan troubles are the Roma home game for the terrible behaviour of our naughty fans!

Jezza kyle

{Ed002's Note - I am not so sure that the rep[eated misbehavior of the club, some of the fans and some of the players leading Liverpool to be the most charged club in Europe is necessarily something to be proud of. The fine is yet again small. Maybe at some point it will turn to games behind closed doors - probably still funny to you), or perhaps a season being excluded - is that still funny?}

1.) 25 Jul 2018 21:33:20
I have gone onto Liverpool for over 20 years and think we are well behaved fans, the trouble at the home game against Roma was by the away fans, I felt tension before the game and seen a few Italians trying to cause trouble.

2.) 25 Jul 2018 21:55:14
Only trouble I remember at that match was a group of men cowardly attacking an aging Liverpool supporter on his own and leaving him in a coma.

3.) 25 Jul 2018 23:13:23
Personally I think the fan base has to start owning these behaviours instead of burying their head in the sand.

{Ed002's Note - It would be great if it would just stop.}

4.) 25 Jul 2018 23:51:10
I agree Ed002, which is why it should be acknowledged as a serious warning from UEFA instead of seeing it as a small fine.

It’s shameful and drags the clubs reputation through the mud.

01 Jul 2018 11:30:26
How long can the club go on leaving the buvac situation open for? The players start back tomorrow surely they'll have to announce something either way?

Jezza kyle

1.) 01 Jul 2018 11:36:58
Surely in the coming days? I expect Linders to become assistant and thus a backroom shuffle will occur. Buvac is going to Fernerbahce isn't he?

2.) 01 Jul 2018 13:20:52
Don't think he got the Fener job after all. Philipp Cocu is listed as their coach.

3.) 01 Jul 2018 18:03:14
He should come back. I'd love him to and I reckon most fans would. Let's hope klopp was the one with the wand.

The more I hear from pep ljinders the more he sounds like Rodgers he's got all the phrases and buzzwords under the sun but is he a b.s. merchant? The Porto u23 guy sounds like something pep would be involved with as he came from there and would probably know or have recommended the guy. And his job title or specialised subject sounds like more bs.

Even some of Rodgers worst signings have proven to be good players the likes of aspas and alberto were often laughed at and look at them now. Rodgers had his ups and downs but we exaggerated the downs to get him out with the hope of getting klopp in. Obviously there's no explaining markovic but we can credit Rodgers for giving hendo the captaincy (I know he nearly sold him too), milner, coutinho, that title run, some truly lovely football.

Yes he's an arse of a bloke and the documentary didn't help but he was generally okay for 90% of his time here and remember poetry in motion and were on our way to glory. He was almost a Liverpool legend but yes he contributed to his own downfall.

Wolves deserved nothing from that game because they scored no legal goals and we scored 1. Nobody is relying on var. If the ref made the right decision in the first place Liverpool win 1-0 its that simple.

90 points wins the title this year 38 from 57 needed for us. 52 from 57 for City. 51 from 57 for Leicester. That's just to hit 90 points Leicester and City can only drop points in 3 or 4 games in the rest of the season to hit 90 points. Liverpool can lose 5 games and still hit 90.

To be clear regardless of any clause being legally binding or not we can still make a bid of or around that alleged figure and they can accept or reject it. My guess is we've made a bid very close to the clause and they've decided to accept it regardless of whether they legally needed to or not.

He was well thought of and doing well here. He would've been playing u23s with us and probably played in 3 first team games this season including starting the game tomorrow for us. Instead he had a paddy, got got way more money, moved to a nice place, and plays u19s football for a tinpot club. With less chances than he would've already had by now if hed had patience and humility.
