Just read we've had a £35m bid for Kingsley Coman rejected.

Jezza kyle

1.) 27 Jun 2021 17:01:39
Surely one of our front 3 is on the move if this is the case. A player like him would not join if it was to sit on the bench. I'd be OK with any of our team leaving as we are not reliant on one player as we were in the Stevie Me or Suarez days.

2.) 27 Jun 2021 17:03:36
Got to be fake, he is valued at more than that.

3.) 27 Jun 2021 17:36:25
Jesus christ. why are we the only top 6 team that is not allowed to have the slightest bit of squad depth? seriously lads.

4.) 27 Jun 2021 18:04:34
I’d be happy with Coman. I think we need a CF more, but you can never have ‘too many’ big game players like him.

5.) 27 Jun 2021 17:53:46
42 million it says the asking price is. Any thoughts eds? I've never really watched him but supposed to be decent. Thiago can have a word in his shell like.

{Ed001's Note - he always seems to be injured whenever I have looked at a team he is on. Last time I saw him fit to play was a long time ago and he was just quick but very one-dimensional then. Could well have improved a huge amount though since then.}

6.) 27 Jun 2021 18:53:49
Thanks Ed, appreciate the reply mate.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome Marty.}

7.) 30 Jun 2021 11:02:21
OP, someone is teasing you. None of that is true. Also I agree with ED01. Coman is too one-dimensonal. Has blinding pace BUT too predictable and inconsistent. Just my opinion.

08 Dec 2019 08:39:38
I believe 15 more wins from our remaining 22 league fixtures would win us the title. I've come to this conclusion assuming Leicester have a 15 game run identical to their current record this season putting them on 70 points, I guessed a fair average for the remaining 8 games of their season if they achieved their identical record would be another 20 points, just over 2 points per game.

Thus leaving us needing 91 points for the title. We currently have 46 from 16 games meaning a further 15 wins puts us on a minimum of 91 points and more importantly leaving 7 fixtures in which a slip up or 4 wouldn't impact our chances at all only narrow the margin of victory. Of course we play Leicester still and the result of that game will play no significance as long as they lose and draw in 2 other of their next 15 fixtures (highly likely) .

In short this team, this squad, this manager have such a high probability of winning the title from this position we may as well start to plan our tattoos now. Let's imagine we lose at WHL, Goodison and the emptihad. That still leaves 4 games in which we can lose and still reach 91 points draw a couple and it's 93+. Basically I expect Leicester to drop off but I've planned for them not to.

I expect City to keep bumbling along as they are they do not look capable of winning 5 of the spin atm let alone the next 20 and every game that goes bye they need to add another win on the end of it to keep pace. From this point its a 2 horse race and one horse has a big advantage in every single department of a football club on and off the pitch. This is finally our year doubters to believers.

Jezza kyle

1.) 08 Dec 2019 08:48:30
Have you informed klopp of your findings? They might stay out in Qatar for a few more weeks when they realise they've already won the league.

2.) 08 Dec 2019 08:56:10
The title is not won until it is mathematically impossible to lose. There is no point getting ahead of ourselves. We need to take it one game at a time.

3.) 08 Dec 2019 10:12:53
These were the exact same posts that were on this site around Christmas last year and look what happened! One particular poster spent all of last season claiming the title was won and now he doesn’t post as frequently because he was so embarrassed! There is a big game to win Tuesday night so focus needs to be on that and forget about the league for now.

4.) 08 Dec 2019 10:16:38
Klopp would lose his sheep if he read something like this for sure! As Lamborini said one game at a time has got us to this position. And let's keep that mentality.

5.) 08 Dec 2019 11:49:04
I think you need to get out a bit more Jezza.

6.) 08 Dec 2019 13:20:17
It’s not just the EPL we are after.

We need to retain our title of Champions of Europe.

One game at a time.

Maintain the intensity and let’s see where it takes us.

7.) 08 Dec 2019 17:06:39
Let's hope you're right Jezza mate. Let's win the next 15 games, wrap up the title in March, then concentrate on the CL and the FA cup!

8.) 08 Dec 2019 17:37:21
1st mystic meg post I’ve seen in a long time absolutely can’t stand these post I thought fans learnt a lesson coundting up points and wins before a ball is kicked!

9.) 08 Dec 2019 22:45:09
The Wombats exactly right the poster in question is never right and shot his mouth off on a daily basis. We should all take nothing for granted and take each game as they come.

But it is great to be supporting such a quality side led by a great manager.

10.) 08 Dec 2019 22:50:01
Let’s not discount Man City just yet. They are more than capable of winning every last game of this season.

Far too early to start believing, yes it’s ours to lose and we are strong favourites but let’s see how the squad gets through the next few months first, we will need to rotate, first signs of this rotation has been positive but a couple of loses and panic could set in so I’m not getting that tattoo just yet.

Leicester will also have to utilise their squad in the coming months and they are currently very reliant on a couple of players so we will see how they get on with that.

Man City like I said above are more than capable of pulling it together and winning every last game so no way can they be ruled out yet.

Chelsea have a very outside chance but I can’t see them leapfrogging all 3 teams.

If I was a betting man I would bet on us to win the league but I wouldn’t put the house on it.

11.) 09 Dec 2019 09:14:26
Spot on Mark, although it’s strange not seeing ‘have a nice day ‘ under the review of the day article lol.

12.) 09 Dec 2019 10:03:03
My response to Jezza Kyle and others is:
RB Salzburg tomorrow!
That should be our one and only focus at the moment, not 91 points and record breaking season. You have no idea what would happen to this squad and team morale if that game in Salzburg don't go well. So, I'd stay away from any permutations and let's qualify for the next round of the Champions league first.

13.) 09 Dec 2019 10:34:17
I agree Noski. I'm a little worried about tomorrow to be honest.

14.) 09 Dec 2019 13:24:14
nothing at all comes easy in the best league in the world. never ever ever ever take anything for granted. the last time we put man city in a position where they had to win out, they did. 99 points was a historically great total last year, and all it got us was to be used a question in the next edition of Trivial Pursuit!

15.) 10 Dec 2019 13:24:38
My main reason for posting this was so that our notorious negative fans don't all lose their heads if we lose 3 or 4 games and in doing so disable the team on the pitch. I'm not counting points im making a prediction with the idea of preventing all the we've bottled it posts the day we lose or draw. If we lose 6 in a row starting Saturday I believe we will still win the title so keep your heads stay calm this team can do it and our reaction to bumps in the road can influence the result.

16.) 11 Dec 2019 14:47:06
Stats and averages are great at this time of the year, if we could keep up our current run we could end up with 109 points and City would end up with 76.
Now, is there ONE person on this site who thinks this might happen? If there is STOP taking the yellow pills and START taking the blue ones like you were told to.

Fun note: if it was true Utd would end up in 5th with 57 points, 52 points behind! Actually that could happen. :)

07 Aug 2018 19:14:36
No joe Gomez in the squad tonight. Injured? Looks like we might end up playing Phillips v West Ham.

Jezza kyle

1.) 07 Aug 2018 21:09:15
I think Fabinho is more likely to play if desperate, Gomez may just be rested for precaution.

2.) 07 Aug 2018 21:33:42
U are kidding me Gomez injured that's crap I hope not won't lovren be ready or last resort klavan, it's mad we haven't learned from last season this current squad is vulnerable too injuries I am talking bout the original players from last season matip, Gomez, lovren, matip, lallana, clyne, sturridge, even Henderson at times with his heel problem, there's 7 players who are in danger of any time picking up injuries that will hurt us, I still think we are short of another defender and flexible attacker for front 3 don't get me wrong been a great market for us but can't help feeling we will regret not going all out .

3.) 07 Aug 2018 22:47:16
How many more you want to buy?

4.) 07 Aug 2018 23:15:51
2 a defender and an attacker, when we finished last season we needed a def mid, a no 10, a keeper, a midfielder, cover for front 3 and a central defender all ours made of glass.

5.) 08 Aug 2018 01:52:29
You do realise there’s a 25 member squad limit?

6.) 08 Aug 2018 06:44:01
HAHA. you just about named our whole squad . and matip twice lol.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 10:09:43
If we buy to many players for the ‘what if’ scenarios then what’s the point in having the youngsters? They need to see a way into the first team.
We need to sell now, not buy.

8.) 08 Aug 2018 10:40:35
Klopp has said Gomez is fine, relax.

01 Jul 2018 15:10:08
Ed002 anything new on Laxalt? I saw him play for the first time yesterday and was very impressed! I remember you saying a while ago he might be an option.

Jezza kyle

{Ed002's Note - Lazio has a declared interest.}

1.) 01 Jul 2018 19:56:04
He has a silly enough haircut for LFC. Must be nailed on.

15 Feb 2018 14:47:06
I have an in with James Maddison and it looks like he's going to Arsenal. He's been linked with a £30m bid from us in the papers.

Jezza kyle

1.) 15 Feb 2018 15:12:21
who? But seriously 30 million, the can have him.

2.) 15 Feb 2018 15:54:57
Cheers for the rumour. Arsenal can bed him in and we’ll sign him in 5 years 🤝.

3.) 15 Feb 2018 15:55:00
We aren’t actually interested just the papers saying so and coming up with the figures. The player thinks he’s going to Arsenal.

4.) 15 Feb 2018 16:17:25
Why does it not surprise me that Jeremy Kyle has strong contacts in Norwich?

"Is my mum actually my Sister"

5.) 15 Feb 2018 16:25:29
Is it not Trisha with contacts in Norwich?

6.) 15 Feb 2018 19:18:00
Maddison is probably the best player in the championship not sure if he's worth 30 million but who knows in today's crazy transfer market. And MK I'm from Norwich and just because I'm married to my sister what's the problem.

7.) 15 Feb 2018 20:10:59
How's ya bruncle ace.

8.) 15 Feb 2018 21:26:01
All good p1.

9.) 16 Feb 2018 10:20:02
High 6 to that one.

10.) 16 Feb 2018 18:57:21
Brandt new, spilt beer on that one. 😅.

The fact Chris wood missed a free header after 5 minutes from 5 yards at the back post and then Bruno blocked a goal bound effort from his teammate while in an offside position should tell you all you need to know about where this title is heading.

Jezza kyle

1.) 08 May 2022 21:34:53
Still three games to go and anything can still happen.

2.) 08 May 2022 23:53:55
Yeah but now they have a few defenders out for rest of the season

Let’s see if the hold up in the final 3 games or bottle it like they did in the CL semis

The title is in their hands for now but it’s not over till it’s over.

24 Dec 2021 13:04:26
Van dijk, fabinho and Jones all back in training today.

Jezza kyle

{Ed0666's Note - I’m sure Thiago will be back for Chelsea also but Leicester will come to soon for him. I’d go Naby, Hendo, Fab against the foxes.

1.) 24 Dec 2021 14:40:31
Me too Ed. Trent vvd konate kostas hendo fab keita salah jota mane. There’s no reason that team can’t also play 5 days later v Chelsea then then rotate during the week away at Arsenal half a team v them the other half v shrews then pick a side for Arsenal at home in the second leg on form and I think that leaves Brentford at home to end January.

{Ed0666's Note - is that you Jurgen? I knew it 👊🏼

2.) 24 Dec 2021 15:55:14
Will the Leeds game be in January now?

3.) 24 Dec 2021 16:13:34
Might be without Mane and Keita vs Chelsea. Egypt cleared Salah to play.

All 3 will be missing for Arsenal, Shrews, Brentford and Palace. If we end January still in touching distance with City and in both cups, Klopp is a genius.

4.) 24 Dec 2021 17:12:04
Mk, Salah, Firmino and Jota is still a strong line up for Chelsea.

5.) 24 Dec 2021 16:37:55
Klopp IS a genius MK.

6.) 24 Dec 2021 17:50:18
Klopp is a genius regardless.

7.) 24 Dec 2021 18:34:29
Has Mane been denied or still a chance?

8.) 24 Dec 2021 21:12:43
@MK to be fair I don’t think Salah or Mane would have played against either Arsenal or Shrewsbury. I know the board had this discussion the other night but I don’t think the club’s priority is the domestic cups these days - sad but true.

That said if Arsenal play a youngish side we are in with a shout (and the 2nd leg is at Anfield on a week night when there is always magic in the air) and we should have enough to beat Shrewsbury with our youngsters.

23 Dec 2021 09:31:16
I'd like to say how good naby and billy the kid were last night. Naby imo was the biggest reason we got back charge of the game and started taking it to them and looking dangerous. And billy the kid although possibly culpable on the first goal I thought he looked really calm and composed and played passes joe Gomez for example isn't capable of some of them were inspired by the passes the usual left center back plays. I was very surprised to see him in the side as since his initial first team exposure a few years back he's been really struggling with u23 and u19 football often giving away penalties and goals with slack passes.

Jezza kyle

1.) 23 Dec 2021 09:54:43
I thought Naby was excellent. I didn't see the first half so didn't see how Billy the Kid got on, but kids mature and improve at different rates so the fact that he started means Klopp sees something he likes.
The whole team showed guts and spirit though. Kelleher was immense on the penalties too.

2.) 23 Dec 2021 10:17:21
Gotta say hats off to every player that payed last night. To come back from 3-1 down against a very strong Leicester side is great testament to each and every one of them.

We’re now into the semis and I think we’ve actually hit a bit of a cross roads in this comp as you bet your life the other 3 teams will be going full strength in the semi or final.

There was debate on here last night (mental how some fans refuse to allow debate on a fans site if the opinion differs theirs) as to how serious Klopp takes this competition. For me I’d love to win the comp but I’d like to see Klopp continue with the same squad players and youngsters that have gotten us this far. Even if that might make us the least favourites out of the 4 teams remaining.

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer and Klopp will go with how he feels. But what’s everyone else’s thoughts?

3.) 23 Dec 2021 10:46:51
Play 4 youngsters. 4 squad players and 3 startes
Like what ge did yesterday.

4.) 23 Dec 2021 11:34:32
If I’m being brutally honest and I don’t want to be judgemental after one senior game. But I can’t see Billy the Kid making it for Liverpool. I watched him live last night, and I’ve watched him many times for the U21’s, I just can’t see it lads.

5.) 23 Dec 2021 13:33:28
Tell you what, Naby takes a hell of a penalty as well!

I'm with JK, let the team who got us this far go all the way. Imagine playing every game and getting your team to a semi or final only to then be dropped for a 'first team' player.

{Ed0666's Note - Imagining getting a semi is all I can do at my age unfortunately Stuie

6.) 23 Dec 2021 15:38:44
Well from what I hear they don't call you"Blue Pill Ed"for nothing 😉.

{Ed0666's Note - at my age mate i need the whole bottle 😂

7.) 23 Dec 2021 17:02:29
OP, Billy did his best under the circumstances BUT he wasn't good at all, IMO. He was poor and hat can be explained BUT let's not act like he was good. He wasn't BUT I will NEVER blame him for the couple of mistakes he made.

8.) 23 Dec 2021 17:40:03

19 Dec 2021 09:52:25
Seems really strange we've not got this spurs game called off. They've had an outbreak and we've had an outbreak. I can only assume we think that there may be more of a problem at the spurs end than ours so think let's play and hope there's an advantage there?

We've called off our u23 game this morning probably because we're calling up players for the squad v spurs. I think Antonio Conte is probably being sly and almost all their first 11 will be back having had a 2 week break with a mild cold and we're going there without 4 starting 11 players including the worlds best player, the worlds best center back, fabinho and our captain.

Jezza kyle

1.) 19 Dec 2021 10:02:01
OP, I agree with you last paragraph. IMO, if there was a game that needed to have been called off, it should have been the Chelsea/ Everton game. How they have allowed that game to go ahead with Everton playing pretty much their academy team for the most part, is disgraceful.

As for our game, Spurs do not have the advantage here, IMO. We do. We have been in rhythm and have been playing high intensive games while they have not been playing and most importantly, have not been training for the most part over the two weeks so that evens things out a bit. Either way, we already knew that Fab and VVD would not play so we would have prepared accordingly.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m not sure fab & Virgil are 100% out?

2.) 19 Dec 2021 10:14:27
Klopp has talked about being transparent and we will see if it was all horse dung or not I suppose. Either way he’s had nothing from conte and we don’t know if anyone of their 11 will be missing I can’t tell you 1 player of theirs that’s had C.V.. And I also expect they’ve trained specifically for us knowing exactly which players they will have available.

3.) 19 Dec 2021 10:20:16
Mild cold? Do you not remember the dip in form from our players when they got it last year?
I’ve had it twice, once it was really nasty and the other time barely noticeable, but it’s the lingering after effects that are the worst thing for me, just taking the edge off your health for months and months, imagine being a pro athlete and getting 10% of your fitness knocked off.

4.) 19 Dec 2021 10:45:19
Mikey 1985 is comparing himself to a pro athlete here 😂 obviously the pro athletes will have it worse than you did and not easier because you’re much healthier and fitter. No everyone gets it different but I’d expect most won’t of even noticed they had it as klopp said in his press. Man flu knocks us all about mate and yes it will make a difference to the players even if they don’t know they have it or have symptoms. The only thing I remember from last year is we were top of the league at Christmas then we had a load of acls but I don’t think C.V. can be blamed for those.

5.) 19 Dec 2021 10:12:37
Ed0666 they have C.V. mate don’t they?

{Ed0666's Note - yes mate but they may have tested negative.

6.) 19 Dec 2021 11:34:23
Tested daily I believe now so a negative test means isolation ends for “elite athletes”

It’s just as mere mortals that have to isolate even though where double jabbed and boostered and return a negative test…. Well in Scotland anyway

Of course politicians are classed as elite athletes as well….

7.) 19 Dec 2021 13:14:08
My body can be compared to a pro sportsman, darts players are pro sportsmen right?

8.) 19 Dec 2021 14:13:48
Agreed mickey I’d fit right in on the ochie of the pdc.

11 Sep 2021 11:29:49
Cooor I can't believe the lack of diversity in skys coverage of the WSL. 3 white middle aged women on the panel and 2 white middle aged women on commentary!

Jezza kyle

1.) 11 Sep 2021 13:10:59
No men?

2.) 11 Sep 2021 18:26:23
Lucky men.

3.) 11 Sep 2021 19:10:12
Like a late night loose women.

4.) 11 Sep 2021 20:25:31
I am no fan of sky but I’m glad sky are pushing it tbh. They also signed a big deal with the Irish women’s football team. Which is awesome. Hopefully over the next few years it’ll become more like tennis where interest is doubled.

5.) 12 Sep 2021 00:20:42
Blimey this is like a Keysey and Grey thread. All it needs is a remark about back doors being bashed in and we’re there. I think you lads will be on the equality and diversity course on Monday 😂😂😂.

The reason we aren’t looking to sell him is simple. We’d get £10-15m for him and to replace him we’d have to spend £20m+ and we have no money 😂 div is causing no problems and is already bought and paid for and that’s where his true value is.

10 million wouldn’t buy Nat Phillips with one leg btw. A proven young English center back. Imagine we tried to buy a 24 year old pl proven cb who’s English from Burnley or Leicester or Brighton. Think of the fees they have plucked out of thin air for those kinds of player. He’s a £20m cb at the very least and I wouldn’t want to sell him for a penny less unless he gets a dream move offered to him and he asks to leave for it.

Chelsea played 2 in midfield and kovacic played with a snapped ankle ligament and guess what they held their own their 2 against our 3 and we drew 0-0 😂 clutching at straws to try and measure dks. Just be happy we won on penalties and brought another trophy home! We have a better goalkeeper a better defence and a better attack than them. Maybe they have a better midfield and that’s why we’ve not beaten them on 4 occasions this season?

Chelsea have a far better midfield than us better legs and better technically. Watch them smother us with the press and and then play better football than us when we try and press them. In the game at the bridge both teams played an unbelievably high line and the pitch was so condensed I wonder if the same will happen on Saturday. If I was tuchel I’d play Werner havertz and pulisic who has made us look stupid many times. I hope kovacic and kante are out and tuchel is left with jorginho rlc saul and mount in midfield to likely play against what hendo Thiago and Jones/ keita/ milner? Clearly Elliot has lost the faith or is being very protected until next season as at the start of the season he was a starting midfielder and now he’s not getting in the squad. I expect konate to be in with Diaz mane and salah to start up top.

Just ask the lads not to pass him the ball until he’s in shooting range then because I’m fed up watching all the fancy flicks mane and salah and bobby always try instead of just passing the ball to each other and the move breaks down but it doesn’t get a mention. Jota has his faults as everyone agrees with but let’s not make mountains out of molehills. And him scoring and the other forwards scoring dispels the MYTH that bobby the 5 goals a year striker is the reason salah and mane score so many because well we’ve had a year of evidence now that proves that’s not the case mane has scored more and salah is still top of the pops and jota has scored his 20+. We are class it won’t be this good again for another 30 years. Who cares about x or y being right or wrong, jurgen knows and that’s all we need.

We got the idea you weren’t a manager when we saw you were getting rid of 7 squad players and replacing them with 2. And then you loaned out all the players that could play back up. Yes we do currently have a big squad and yes there are players who are unhappy with their position in it (ox has me fuming personally, the Liverpool fan who is involved in the squad chasing the quadruple and he’s throwing his dummies out mid season when others who are no doubt as unhappy are playing blinders as they’ve knuckled down and make contributions from the bench) but to lose the 7 and replace with 2 would be crazy, a minimum of 4 players would be needed.

Jezza kyle
