In interest in Malik Fofana eds? Seeing some talk of him being an option.

Thanks.

Snoots

{Ed001's Note - he has come out and asked us to sign him, I don't know if we have interest though.}

1.) 17 Jun 2025 21:33:08
Let's hope so, he's a fantastic young talent full of pace and energy and very capable off of both feet which is quite unique for a winger!

2.) 17 Jun 2025 22:09:20
If we lost Diaz he’d be a good option to support Gakpo.

3.) 17 Jun 2025 23:22:43
He's a great talent and fits all the profiles. If we move on Chiesa and Diaz I'd say he comes in.

4.) 17 Jun 2025 23:37:06
I think id probably prefer him to gordon if we lt Diaz go.

5.) 18 Jun 2025 00:36:16
the next Doue?
lol.

05 Jun 2025 16:39:17
Footage of Diaz at international match press conference, his words.
We are talking with clubs, we will see what happens.
If I'm offered a good enough deal I will stay.

Snoots

1.) 05 Jun 2025 16:42:11
[Pipe Sierra] ? Luis Díaz on the news of his future at #Liverpool ??? ? “We’re talking to clubs, it’s normal in the market and we’re looking at what’s best for us. If they give us a good renewal or I stay there for two years, I’ll be happy. Now it’s up to them. ”.

2.) 05 Jun 2025 16:49:01
In other words. Show me the money.

3.) 05 Jun 2025 16:52:50
Missed the part he said he’d happily see out his two remaining years aswell. I think it’s a if really good offer came in Liverpool would entertain it if not the club will either let him run down his deal or offer him a couple year extension.

4.) 05 Jun 2025 17:38:22
I reckon he'll be off then.

5.) 05 Jun 2025 18:00:47
Except it’s not up to them (the club) .
It’s up to you Diaz because these days the power is with the player.

He’s being a bit of a prick if you ask me. After all the club has done for him, this is how he behaves.

Honestly I wouldn’t mourn his sale.
Bad attitude.

6.) 05 Jun 2025 18:05:31
Saudi wages will be too hard to turn down. The world is about to find out who the best deal makers are in the game -.

7.) 05 Jun 2025 18:14:02
Get him sold! Sick of his dad and now him flirting about leaving!

8.) 05 Jun 2025 18:25:04
He’s been twerking for Barcelona a while now. I don’t think he’s on huge money at Liverpool and that might be a head turner if numbers elsewhere appeal to him. he’s a quality player, elite but not world class. that knee injury I think slowed him down a bit from fully going up levels. I’d be happy for him to stay but not heartbroken if he leaves.

9.) 05 Jun 2025 19:19:37
Sounds like he is trying to play the whole 'pay me what I want because I have other options' card but he actually wants to stay. He wouldn't say he was happy to stay otherwise and, if he wanted to leave, he wouldn't come out and say anything at all.

10.) 05 Jun 2025 21:23:16
The guy is being under paid at £55k a week. He deserves a decent pay rise. It’s certainly up to the club to at least make him a good offer.

11.) 05 Jun 2025 21:40:00
Decent player but I think his time is up. He seems to give his all on the pitch so that's not a problem but his head has always been turned by the prospect of Barca. He needs to go now.

Plus he's 28 and a speed merchant. I imagine him getting more niggling injuries in the Prem as he ages. Cash in now I'd say.

12.) 05 Jun 2025 22:32:01
Let’s have a whip round for him Irish, underpaid on £55k per week. Get my tiny violin out for him.

13.) 05 Jun 2025 22:48:34
I think there might be a general lack of appreciation about what generally happens in the background with respect players, and especially their agents, monitoring potential opportunities for the player. It’s common practice and doesn’t mean that a player necessarily wants to leave his current club. It’s just like keeping an eye on job adverts to see if their is a better job out there that’s suitable.

14.) 05 Jun 2025 22:55:02
you all talk like he is average. 13 goals and 7 assists is hard to replace. We will miss him if he leaves.

15.) 05 Jun 2025 23:33:23
WDW4 - you said it yourself “in the background”.

So, why does Diaz have to announce it to the world?
That’s “prick” behaviour from a player with 2 years left IMO.

02 Jun 2025 09:28:45
Ed01 good morning,

There is news that the Wirtz deal has shifted to his club wanting up to two Liverpool players in a fee/ player swap deal.
Does this sound legitimate? Have you heard anything?

Thanks in advance.

Snoots

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't stress, I am sure the deal will be done.}

1.) 02 Jun 2025 10:18:53
I had read that it was one of two - Quansah or Elliot - but who knows?!

2.) 02 Jun 2025 10:28:35
Oh please let it be quansah. Saying that- I don’t think the rumour is true. One reassuring thing is the club want the player to go to liverpool. The genuine alternative is bayern.

3.) 02 Jun 2025 10:34:04
this wirtz thing started as very exciting and is getting to full boredom now like one of our performance last season.

Wish they had kept all in wraps.
also media is giving hourly update like weather report.

wonder the neg team will go on vacation after they manage to get this signed.

4.) 02 Jun 2025 10:46:00
If the player wants Liverpool, he will likely get his move. I imagine ed002 would be saying that these things take time (in his own words)

5.) 02 Jun 2025 10:53:33
Sami, it’s the double edged sword that is 24/ 7 clickbait sites.

You could choose to ignore it?

I certainly can’t!

6.) 02 Jun 2025 11:54:21
Im hoping this gets done
Clubs are only allowed to officially sign 2 players before the June 10 Transfer Window.
Frimpong done - Wirtz next .
kerkez to be done when the next window opens in June.

7.) 02 Jun 2025 12:09:57
Rax, I'm not sure where that rumour has originated. Below is quoted from the Premier League website and it says nothing about how many transfers are allowed in this window:

"Summer 2025 transfer window
Things look a little different to normal this year due to the first edition of the expanded FIFA Club World Cup.

To accommodate clubs wanting to sign players ahead of that tournament, which begins on 15 June, the transfer window opens early for an exceptional registration period from Sunday 1 June until Tuesday 10 June at 19:00 BST. This applies only to the 20 national associations with clubs playing in the competition, of which England, with Manchester City and Chelsea involved, is one.

This special early opening has allowed Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid in time to feature for the Spanish club in the tournament.

While Manchester City and Chelsea are the only English clubs participating in the Club World Cup, all Premier League teams will be free to sign players during that period.

The window will then shut, before reopening on Monday 16 June and closing on Monday 1 September at 19:00 BST, a slightly earlier time than the traditional 23:00 BST close that has been used. "

In addition, the specific issue you raise is addressed below in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 FAQ Regulatory Matters document:

"2. EXCEPTIONAL ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION PERIOD
Can participating clubs register new players immediately before the FIFA Club World Cup 2025?

Yes, the Member Associations of participating clubs may, as an exception to article 6 of the RSTP, establish an exceptional additional registration period for all their affiliated
clubs from 1 to 10 June 2025. This ensures the equal treatment of all participating clubs, strikes a reasonable balance with sporting integrity at domestic level and makes it possible for all players who wish to play at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 to be registered for their clubs prior to the start of the competition.

Is there a limit on the number of players that can be registered during the exceptional additional registration period?
No, there is no limit on the number of players that participating clubs can register during that period and include on their lists for the competition, as long as the principles established in the RSTP, the Competition Regulations and the regulations of the relevant Member Associations are duly respected.

Is the exceptional additional registration period separate from the two standard annual registration periods?
Yes, the exceptional additional registration period is separate from the two standard annual registration periods fixed by Member Associations in accordance with article 6 of the RSTP. Therefore, the exceptional additional registration period will not count towards or have any implication in relation to, or impact on, the combined maximum duration (16 weeks) of the two regular annual registration periods.

If a Member Association with two clubs participating in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 has decided to establish the exceptional additional registration period, will this window only apply to those two clubs?
No, all affiliated clubs of that Member Association will be able to register and process transfers of male professional players during this period, always in accordance with the RSTP and the regulations of the respective Member Association. "

I hope that helps put this myth to bed.

Hearing online that Osimhen has completed medical at Chelsea fc, 63 million pound fee.
If this is true, we can strike him off the list.

Snoots

1.) 01 Jun 2025 12:07:46
They’ve been after him for a while haven’t they? Would make sense.

2.) 01 Jun 2025 12:17:35
My worry with Osimhen is an ability to play intricate football. I think we need our forward to both score but also be involved in the buildup play because we have players like Gakpo and Salah who can also score.

Not looking for a pure goal scorer who will shoot on sight and ignore all our other goal scorers who might be in much better positions.

Don't get me wrong. I still want our forward to be a goal scorer.

I actually think Osimhen would be a good fit for Chelsea though. Palmer, Neto, Madueke etc. or not fantastic in tight spaces. Osimhen will help a lot in getting them space.

It's all about the fit.

I think Osimhen is a great fit for Chelsea.
Not so great for us.

The only bad news for me in this, is that Chelsea improve.

Not so much bothered that we missed this player joining us.

3.) 01 Jun 2025 12:22:27
Chelsea are hilarious, didn't they Just sign Delap and are seriously after Ekitike? Joke club.

4.) 01 Jun 2025 12:34:47
It doesn't seem to me that this is true, there haven't even been any links between osimhen and Chelsea lately. Gala want to buy him/ are willing to pay what Napoli is asking g and Saudi clubs are after him, osimhen has said himself he will decide between the different suitors in the next few days.

5.) 01 Jun 2025 12:42:33
Exactly what we need, someone who scores goals, don’t need someone to over think it, just ball in the net. We crate so much as it is. Great in the air too.

6.) 01 Jun 2025 13:11:40
You wonder what was sold to Liam Delap to decide to join Chelsea to not only compete with Nicholas Jackson but also one of Victor Osimehn or Hugo Ekitike. Hmmmmm.

7.) 01 Jun 2025 12:54:48
I think there's more too it than that personally Sailor. It's about players that suit a system and creates maximum chances.

Take PSG as example. Not sure they have any standout goal scorer but they score loads because of intricate plays. It goes to everyone and everyone can setup anyone. Chance after chance after chance is hard to stop.

8.) 01 Jun 2025 13:06:18
I agree SJ, especially if we do sign Wirtz.

9.) 01 Jun 2025 13:19:59
Alot of money FPF! Heard Delap was getting 150 k + a week!

10.) 01 Jun 2025 13:59:34
Genuine question how big is Chelsea's squad they must have enough to field at least 2 strong elevens?

11.) 01 Jun 2025 14:05:33
I don't remember where, but I read a piece (or was it a video) where Slot wanted something similar to PSG, with its limitations since I don't see Salah moving to the left wing even for a few a minutes during a game.

Anyways, if true, any striker that we get needs to be versatile and Osimenhn is not that players.

Links with Ekitike actually make sense if the above is true, but he is very raw. Alvarez and Isaak makes a lot of sense but they won't move. I don't know any strikers who would fit the mold besides them.

12.) 01 Jun 2025 15:14:48
The strikers pool is very thin. There’s not many of them around!
If it’s not Isak or Alvarez it doesn’t really excite me, the quality out there for number 9’s is dreadful.

13.) 01 Jun 2025 15:27:51
We should have signed him what a shame. A true powerhouse if true and he ends up at Chelsea he could well go on and do a Didier Drogba.

29 May 2025 22:07:05
Some sites online are reporting that Takefusa kubo from law liga is of interest to us, supposedly we were looking at t him last year.
Reporting that he has put in a transfer request and is in the process of changing agent to get a move to another club.
Looks realy realy handy on the ball from what I have seen of him.
Young and plays right wing, could be someone to lighten the workload for salah.

Snoots

1.) 29 May 2025 22:46:36
I’d say same as Zubi - we have moved on.

2.) 29 May 2025 22:47:13
Any central defender will fart and blow him into Row Z. Not an option.

3.) 29 May 2025 23:15:48
I don't think Salah wants his workload lightening.
He wants to play and score goals.
I think we might look at someone that can cover all three front places, though. I wouldn't be looking at the position that hardly needs changing.

4.) 29 May 2025 23:36:07
I think our interest in Kubo has probably passed as Mo has signed his last 2 contracts. I think Frimpong is a perfectly capable replacement for Mo when he is on AFCON duties or in the extremely infrequent times he is injured.

The role we need is striker, and Kubo isn't that.

Although I would like to think that Nunez and Jota will be the only departees, I think Diaz could leave too.

In which case, our first choice front 4 will be Wirtz, Gakpo, Salah and the new striker.

Our alternates could be (if Diaz, Jota and Nunez leave) - Malick Fofana (young, quick left winger), Danns and Chiesa.

5.) 30 May 2025 04:25:13
On the subject of Salah (and VVD I guess) - now that they have two years left on their contracts do you think we should be looking to maximise our profits and sell them in the coming window? Given the conversation since last August was that we should have sold them two years ago when we would have got good money, shouldn’t the same ‘logic’ apply now?

Have to say I will be sad to see Robbo move on.
Just the spirit he brings to the squad the positive care free attitude he has, he's been a delight to have playing for us.
Not only what he does on the pitch but the off pitch stuff aswell.
Would like to see him back as member of backroom staff one day.

Snoots

1.) 15 Jun 2025 14:21:47
I’m with you Snoots.

I have no significant concerns from a player point of view as it’s clear that he is waning and has been for a season or two.

However, although a lot of people don’t value it (maybe FIFA related? ) but leadership is also the key to a successful team. For the older posters, was Mike Brearly the best batsman? The best fielder? No, but he was a fantastic leader.

The current leaders on the pitch include VVD, Salah (albeit not sure how inspirational he is as a person as I think he is quite shy, but certainly inspires through performance) Ali and Robbo, as well as Trent now gone.

Does anyone know who are the vocal leaders in the dressing room? Have the more recent additions - Macca, Szobo, Gravy - filled any of the holes left by Hendo, Milly, Fab?

2.) 15 Jun 2025 14:12:13
Is he definitely moving on though?

I know he’s been linked but we’ve been linked with Isak, Alvarez, Martinez and god knows how many more the last few weeks and look how they’ve turned out so far.

3.) 15 Jun 2025 14:19:37
Same thoughts. Love the guy. Long term back room boot room boy. Gets it wrong sometimes but don't we all. Never gives up.

4.) 15 Jun 2025 14:39:02
I think some fans are overstating the importance of Robbo's leadership and vibes in the dressing room. It's important when you're plucky underdogs and need every marginal gain you can get, but we're the PL champions and signing talents like Florian Wirtz, it's not a big deal at all. Atletico Madrid will be a very dignified next career move for Robbo.

5.) 15 Jun 2025 14:52:04
Good point JK23, we’ll have to see. I’d love for him to stay, but if he wants to try another league before he retires, I’d love for him to leave.

Nothing to do with money, only the want to see a loyal servant get what he wants. He’s certainly deserved it.

6.) 15 Jun 2025 14:58:42
Leadership is definitely valuable, and Robbo is one of the biggest characters in the team. But, it doesn't trump quality. It's not like he is the only leader we have. VVD, Salah, Ali have been here for ages. Dom, Endo are national team captains, and Macca seems to be someone who would be a big presence in the dressing room. I remember people had the same concern when Hendo and all move on, but we have done fairly well since then. If Robbo really wants to leave and be a first choice player for a top team, I wouldn't want to stand in his way.

7.) 15 Jun 2025 15:02:51
Have we actually been linked with Martinez though?

8.) 15 Jun 2025 15:26:09
FM, yeah, Martinez has been photographed in his local park practicing the ‘lean’ against some railings whilst his wife has been sunbed shopping ?.

9.) 15 Jun 2025 15:37:11
Florian we’ve been linked to that many players mate I’ve even polished my boots as I can’t be far off the list of people left.

10.) 15 Jun 2025 15:47:42
Cheers for your insight on leadership and Robbo Nick1994, what are next weeks lottery numbers. Experience is key in a squad, that and a good attitude… Milner was testament to that.

11.) 15 Jun 2025 21:03:11
Spot on, Frode.

12.) 16 Jun 2025 00:12:00
Experience is priceless until it can leave on a free transfer.

13.) 16 Jun 2025 00:35:48
Frode you're twisting what I've said, I didn't say leadership is unimportant, I just think that the squad has enough leadership and experience to get by without Robbo's. Aside from Virg, Ali and Mo you have Macallister, and Dom who is the captain of Hungary. And then the rest of them have experienced a PL title at the least. If we underperform next year it's not because we lost Robbo.

06 Jun 2025 21:08:15
My last comment on osimhen this evening, some might think I'm his agent lol.
Take a look at a guy on YouTube called pythagoras in boots.
Analysis of football players, does a great deep dive of osimhen's game.
Also covers a lot of other players we are interested in.

Snoots

1.) 06 Jun 2025 21:37:04
Pythagoras in boots is a “twitter tactico” k. head. They’re some of the worst of society, along with football agents, traffic wardens and estate/ letting agents.

2.) 06 Jun 2025 21:55:14
Viktor, your world must be a nice one if the worst of society is an estate agent!

3.) 06 Jun 2025 22:23:01
ViktorVaughan i thought the old bedroom analyst pythag in boots was pretty good. It can get a bit waffly but generally the info is good.

They are now about to start an agency / coaching school, backed by the cryuff foundation!

4.) 07 Jun 2025 00:58:54
I saw him once talking about Ekitike. It was interesting, so I second the shout.

5.) 07 Jun 2025 04:42:54
God Viktor, you really do sprout some utter garbage at times! It must be so depressing being you at times! Cheer up.

6.) 07 Jun 2025 02:58:31
It's a decent channel Viktor, dare I say a lot more insightful than your tactical comments.

7.) 07 Jun 2025 18:58:09
I stand by my view that Twitter tacticos are the worst of humanity, they’re the kind of bellends who’ve never kicked a football ball in their lives and spend their time playing FIFA/ Football Manager or whatever. He’s one of those bellends who waffles on about Hazard being better than Salah because of “aesthetics”, which is weapons grade bollocks.

04 Jun 2025 12:02:34
Much more excited to see lautaro martinez on the left wing instead of the lad from Newcastle, forget his name.

Snoots

1.) 04 Jun 2025 12:42:53
Clare Balding.

2.) 04 Jun 2025 13:06:10
You may be disappointed, Snoots, I believe Martinez is being signed as a striker.

3.) 04 Jun 2025 13:20:26
Newcastles number 10? Deardrie Barlow.

4.) 04 Jun 2025 14:09:58
Harry Maguire is really Arlene Foster.

28 May 2025 21:18:05
Talking about this mystery striker akira was saying nobody is thinking of, I did a little Internet snooping.
There's a guy that plays for benfica vangelis pavlidis, compared to Victor osimhen over the last three seasons, comparing their combined goals/ assist total he has one more than osimhen.
26 years old, kinda off the radar in that iv never heard of him until I looked around.
Kinda signing we go for from time to time.

Just some thoughts for you fellas.

Snoots

{Ed025's Note - Snoots of the yard.. :)

1.) 28 May 2025 21:46:54
Good snooping mate.

However, Akira said the player is “world class”.

That doesn’t sound like your man.

2.) 28 May 2025 21:52:42
Hope he’s better than our last Benfica signing Snoots ?.

3.) 28 May 2025 21:56:43
Is Akira that reliable? I feel he is very hit and miss but maybe I'm doing them a disservice.

Personally find the new carra account to be more reliable but we will see how it plays out.

4.) 28 May 2025 22:49:57
I don't think any of them can be counted as 100 percent reliable WYred. It's a rumours site.

I think Akira has been pretty solid to date. Transfers is a tough gig. Think he has got a lot right to be honest.

He called Diaz before I think anyone did. That was a real top call.

Also was the first to say we had Wirtz before anyone else did. I thought he was heading to Bayern. Remains to be seen if that comes to full fruition but he was adamant. No sitting on the fence.

I like him a lot. I don't take his word as gospel but I get a little excited when he posts a rumour.

Carra is new to me. Need to see more how his rumours pan out a bit more.

All in all, they are two interesting posters and good people to have on the site.

5.) 28 May 2025 23:44:53
The way I see it is that they’re (very kindly) sharing the information they get.

Unless they’re part of the negotiations, which is unlikely, then things can change without them knowing it.

They share what they know. It can’t possibly be accurate to the minute, but they obviously have connections.

Personally I’m very appreciative of anything they are willing to divulge.

Thanks for sharing guys.

6.) 29 May 2025 01:24:44
It's Mbappe mate. other players being discussed are Tchoumani (spelling? ) And TAA heading the other direction early ?.

7.) 29 May 2025 01:30:51
Inspector Snootseau!

15 May 2025 20:07:12
Why o why,
You think being league winners and being paid appropriately only applies to Salah and Van Dyke?
I think Konate deserves to be paid a fair amount for his efforts, plenty of clubs will be looking at him right now.
I mean If we want to be tight and have a big window of shaking the squad up massively with players moving in and out, some of them unavoidably.
The young centre back William Saliba of arsenal for example is on 200k a week, it's not rocket science.

Snoots

1.) 15 May 2025 20:32:48
If the choices are a) replace Konate or b) give him a big pay rise, I’d replace him. He’s not a bad player at all but he’s also not top class.

2.) 15 May 2025 20:34:03
Maybe we've offered him £200k a week and he says he wants £350k?

3.) 15 May 2025 21:32:57
Konate is a very good player, he wouldn’t be with us if he isn’t, but for me he’s not a Salah or van dijk. He’s not world class, therefore if he asks for too much, he can be replaced.

4.) 15 May 2025 21:38:33
Also if ars wanted to exchange saliba for konate, I’d do it in a heartbeat, saliba is absolute class.

5.) 15 May 2025 21:52:50
So what's too much? Maybe he believes as a first 11 player for the title winners he should be on parity to some others like Robbo, Mac, Jota, Nunez or even Gomez and Chiesa.

6.) 15 May 2025 21:53:43
I’d like to keep him. Hopefully if it’s just a contract conflict it will get sorted but if he wants out then sell him. I’d prefer to keep him, plus how many changes can a team sustain in one hit? Refer to Plymouth.

7.) 15 May 2025 22:44:43
Ibou is either really really good or looks really bad and never anything in between.

The good thing is I believe his really good games far outweigh his bad ones.

8.) 15 May 2025 23:00:32
I can’t believe how many would be seemingly quite happy to let konate go. I agree if he doesn’t sign a deal he needs to be sold, and I agree there’s a limit on what we should offer him. He quick, strong, good in the air and should still have his best years ahead of him.

9.) 16 May 2025 01:00:19
I've said it before and I'll say it a thousand times, it's absolutely ridiculous the disrespect ibou gets on here after playing the season of his life, absolutely ridiculous, his form took a small dip the latter part of the season but the first half of the season he matched and was arguably better than Virgil at times. And replacing ibou with saliba? Saliba is the Virgil in the arsenal team, the ball playing center half, Gabriel is the ibou in their side, and i'd rather have ibou.

10.) 16 May 2025 03:32:09
I think Ibou rightly or wrongly gets more visceral criticism because he can be clumsy and somewhat prone to calamities. A very good player overall but when he's given me plenty of facepalm moments too.

Think Saliba is mad overrated myself, would prefer konate, works better for us as we need his physical presence. Would prefer Gabriel over Saliba.

We need to keep Konate if we can it would be stupid to let 3 of our 4 defenders leave in one season. Robertson has got to be replaced because he just can’t do it at this level anymore. Trent is gone so to lose Konate as well would be far too much and with him and Virgil together we can easily add to full backs into the team but I would not want to add a new centre back as well into the starting lineup. Also under Slot he stayed fit a lot better than under Klopp was just the knee injury what was and accident near the end of the game against Madrid if am not mistaken rather than his normal muscle problems.

13.) 16 May 2025 07:20:50
It really does depend on his wage demands. Is he a £300k a week player? Certainly not and I don’t think PSG or any other club would be offering him that either. Hopefully there’s a deal to be done and some sense comes into play. If not, then sell him or try at least.

14.) 16 May 2025 08:11:51
He is french and would want to return to Paris. I don't see money being the only issue here. He will stay and go next year.

15.) 16 May 2025 11:27:59
Ibou’s new nickname is salmon. They always return to where they are born.

Konate is a very good centre back. I think people don’t realise how good he is for us.

You also have to remember he’s playing centre back for Liverpool rather than just looks good playing for a mid table team in a low block.

That’s one of the reasons why Hujsen is so coveted I think is because of how Bournemouth play and he looks good in that system at such a young age.

It’s not easy. Offer him a good salary that puts him on par with a premier league winning first team centre back eg 200k / week and if he doesn’t accept then move him on.

The reported £70k/ week is insulting tbf and to Diaz.

{Ed001's Note - Bournemouth don't play a low block.}

Konate has his faults, but he's hardly Martin Skrtel or Dejan Lovren.

I'm genuinely surprised at how some talk about him like he is a cast off that we can replace so easily.

Every CB has a mistake in them, including VVD. so using that as a measure seems foolish to me. I'd rather be looking at attributes that match how we play, how they fit in with the club culture, chemistry with VVD etc.

Is he on something like $70k/ week? That could easily be $150+. that's Chiesa money and he doesn't even play.

The stats don't align with what your saying about him being bad on the ball tho Victor, maybe he isn't a ball carrier per say.
but he can find the net clearly better than nunez.
Nunez best ever shot conversation rate for us in the league has been 12% under klopp.
Osimhen at napoli conversion rate was 25%
That's 8 shots vs 4 shots to score a goal.
Both players with a very respectable 52% of shots on target.
Difference being osimhen is twice as likely to score that chance than nunez is, when they were in there best form.

If we can get him to find his 2022/ 2023 napoli form, 38 matches, 31 goals, 5 assists.

I would be very happy to have him on board, much rather go for experience over potential.

We need players that improve our starting 11 right now, not in a couple of seasons time.

By the same logic you could also say gyokeres and Ekitike play in poor leagues too.
He was playing great for napoli in Italy, which is considered a more defensive minded league.
So arguably less chances for agressive fast breaks to get scoring opportunities and he was scoring fine.
The issue that lead to him leaving napoli was club approved social media content being racist towards him and disrespectful.
Wages is something we can't be sure of, for all we know he might take a drop in salary to play for us, if he desires the move and the league enough.
If slot feels his head is in the right space and he wants to win things he could be a great player.

Pretty sure we had the lead fitness guy who was ex arsenal, for a number of years at the club while klopp was manager.
A long history of fitness issues with players while he was at arsenal then brought the issue to Liverpool players, hopefully he has been moved on with slots new set up.

Hid metrics, playing statistics, when compared to lamine yamal of Barcelona are almost identical bar few percent in three areas.
Yamal is considered a massive player for Barcelona going forward, hopefully wirtz will be the same for us.

I thought the booing was going too far, you can see it's tough decision for him here today.
He almost looks a little lost, probably scary taking a leap of faith moving to another club after 20 years.
Hopefully it works out for him, he gave me and many others some great memories.
