Jadon your question about fatawa issuaka seems to have put everyone on strike, the posters and the eds lol.

Snoots

{Ed0666's Note - So many different stories swirling around this kid. Some say we didn’t sign him and some say we’ve signed him and loaned him out to Sporting Lisbon. Can someone remind me what Eds 002 said as he’s usually spot on about this kind of thing?

1.) 03 Jun 2021 23:09:30
The reliable sources have said we have
Only echo have denied that
Same people who are saying Daka's close.

{Ed0666's Note - Katie Price knows more about our transfer dealings than the echo does. I’m shocked at how little they know. But then again I’m sure the club doesn’t feed them anything anymore since they are a glorified red top

2.) 03 Jun 2021 23:11:57
Ed666 read the f*#*ing posts 🤣.

{Ed0666's Note - That my friend is comedy gold. Touché 😂

3.) 04 Jun 2021 00:15:21
Could you not just read the post below?

4.) 04 Jun 2021 00:41:50
To be fair ed, Katie Price might be being fed inside information by John Arne Riise.

{Ed0666's Note - Am I missing something? Did he de-frock her?

5.) 04 Jun 2021 02:24:18
She wrote about an encounter with him in a book calling him Mr X. Somwhow he got outed as the man in question.

{Ed0666's Note - Lucky guy. I don’t care what anyone says about her she is extremely attractive.

6.) 04 Jun 2021 02:52:10
But also extremely nuts! I don't think I could be bothered with the stress of it all!

{Ed0666's Note - Shes has 5 kids and the way she has loved and taken care of a challenged kid whose father wants nothing to do with is frankly admirable. Sure there might be some drama in there but she’s a reality tv star it’s her job/nature. But for me she’s stunningly attractive (I live the diva/plastic look) and I feel her heart is in the right place which counts for a lot.

7.) 04 Jun 2021 04:47:01
I agree that for all her faults, she is a fantastic mother. And Dwight Yorke is a trash human the way he has neglected his son. There's no excuse for any parent to do that.

8.) 04 Jun 2021 05:34:13
Ed02 told it would be illegal. to sign him before 18.

9.) 04 Jun 2021 06:20:34
Have we gone off topic or is Katie Price replacing Gini as a box to box midfielder?

{Ed0666's Note - can you imagine if we signed Katie price as a Gini replacement. At least she’d be up for it unlike Gini the last few months.

10.) 04 Jun 2021 14:15:47
Would she be box to box type of girl?

11.) 04 Jun 2021 16:46:28
She’d be better up top as our front 2.

12.) 04 Jun 2021 17:31:49
So can we buy him or not?

01 Jun 2021 16:37:14
Gerrard in the hat for everton next manager, he wouldn't, would he?

Snoots

{Ed025's Note - i would hope not snoots..

1.) 01 Jun 2021 16:59:19
I think Moyes would be good for the bluenoses. A match made in heaven!

2.) 01 Jun 2021 18:24:55
There's a better chance of Gerrard managing the New York Yankees.

3.) 01 Jun 2021 17:35:03
Saw it reported in The Athletic. I think we can now confirm that The Athletic is absolute dross and we should never pay attention to anything they report ever again.

4.) 01 Jun 2021 19:43:05
Rufusthered, The Athletic is actually banned on the Liverpool subreddit, along with you know the one and Daily Mail so your opinion is already well shared.

5.) 01 Jun 2021 20:18:42
IronDan it's the way they've managed to brainwash their readers into thinking their journos are ITK and reliable to justify a subscription fee that gets me. Daylight robbery.

6.) 01 Jun 2021 23:19:03
I don’t know anything about the Liverpool subreddit but a quick glance at their banned sources and the Athletic is not one of them, so you appear to be lying IronDan.

People don’t read the Athletic because they have’ITK’ writers, they read it because it’s the best place to get in depth football analysis that takes longer than 2 minutes to read.

You guys are probably better off sticking to Twitter anyway.

7.) 02 Jun 2021 00:34:01
And who's doing that analysis Thunderbird? James Pearce? The guy has no more footballing knowledge than anyone else on this site. He just gets paid to write about what everyone else talks about in the pub.

An example. For months he was writing how what Firmino did other than score goals which was why he was so good (I agree Firmino's creative and pressing work is key for us by the way and it is a popular opinion of many fans) . However almost instantaneously he changed his position and was writing how Firmino's been poor for a long time and we need to replace him with a new striker. You can guarantee if Firmino picks up a bit of form next season, Pearce is going to write how it was inevitable and how he always knew Firmino would come through again. He's a complete joke.

As for his transfer target analysis, he basically picks a few random names from around Europe for positions he thinks we need to buy. He then compares their xG stats and writes a paragraph or two about each one. Anyone can do that.

What I have read from the other journalists on the site is much of the same. Their in-depth analysis is not based on any kind of expertise in football. None of them have worked in football coaching, recruitment, scouting or analysis. With a The Athletic subscription, all you are paying for is fans with journalism qualifications to write about their take on things as well as clickbait bogus articles.

{Ed0666's Note - To be fair the Athletic broke the Konate to Liverpool story before anyone else but granted most of the time they don’t have their ears to the ground and piggy back on other news outlets for exclusives and aren’t usually ones to break stories. As for a Pearce I agree I don’t think he’s been an ITK for a long while even before he left the Echo. What the Athletic do well are interesting lengthy articles on a variety of sports which are engaging reading. I especially like their Boxing, MMA and soccer articles. Oh and they do good question and answer pieces with their journos

8.) 02 Jun 2021 01:13:02
I'll give them that ed. It's good subscribers get the opportunity to ask the journos something they particularly want to know.

I have only really read them from a football perspective so I don't know how good their intel is on other sports. I know they are an American site so I guess they might have their ear to the ground on what's going on in those sports they established themselves in. They have only been covering football for a couple of years.

Yeah James Pearce is definitely practising if you can't make it, fake it. By that I mean he wants people to think he's a lot more in the loop than he actually is. I remember a few years ago he wrote some article about Lucas potentially leaving and Lucas called him out on it.

{Ed0666's Note - I actually enjoy the articles in the athletic as I do lots of publications/websites and periodicals. It’s good to have a varied perspective I think. Yeh Pearce is not even getting any exclusives I just think he’s regarded by his peers because he is a senior hack not that he’s especially great but I could be wrong as I don’t read his work as it’s not interesting to me but he may have improved?

9.) 02 Jun 2021 05:05:24
I’m sensing that James Pearce may have slept with rufusthereds wife.

10.) 02 Jun 2021 05:14:03
I know you've defended him before Thunderbird. I just don't know why you think the sun shines out of him because he is a fraud. It annoys me how he acts like he is privy to what's going on behind the scenes when he clearly doesn't.

11.) 02 Jun 2021 05:54:10
I was just talking about The Athletic rufus, which I think is the best sports outlet available, you are the one obsessed with James Pearce.

{Ed001's Note - I'm hurt! :-P

12.) 02 Jun 2021 08:11:30
Not really. James Pearce is the main Liverpool reporter for The Athletic so, as we're on a Liverpool page, it's completely relevant. If you want to waste your money on that, it's up to you.

13.) 02 Jun 2021 09:15:27
I know that Carra and Owen were Everton fans in their youth. Was Gerrard, or has he always been a red?

14.) 02 Jun 2021 09:42:23
Always a red Zeddicus although apparently an aunt or uncle dressed him in an Everton kit as a kid and took a picture of him when they won the league.

15.) 02 Jun 2021 14:58:16
Sports reporting is full of transactional relationships. James Pearce does a lot of good work and gets a lot of great scoops, but the trade off is that he also often gets fed nonsense purposely by his sources, as the club also uses him as an extension of their PR department. I'd love to know if he believes that's actually going on, and if he cares.

27 May 2021 19:50:22
Helo eds, have a quick question for you.
Jonathan ikone from lile, couple of paper reports saying we are possibly going to bid for him, you guys heard anything or the usual news papers making stuff up.

Snoots

{Ed002's Note - Jonathan Ikone (RW/AM) Milan have approached Lille about a transfer and it may be possible but Lille want €40M. Milan have lost out on their first choice but will look to including a player in any deal. If Liverpool are interested it would be as another potential Salah replacement I would think. He would be a great deal cheaper than Sancho.}

1.) 27 May 2021 20:33:46
Seriously don’t need him or tilermans Harvey Barnes is more suited to the way we play.

2.) 27 May 2021 20:53:12
I should think he’d be a lot cheaper too considering he scored and created only a 3rd of goals than Sancho does and Ikone is playing in a weaker league than Sancho. As a Salah replacement he’d be somewhere between bewildering and underwhelming as he’s nowhere near the same ability or quality. We’d end up short of 20 goals a season that we could ill afford to lose.

{Ed025's Note - i agree VVVV..

3.) 27 May 2021 21:17:18
The article was saying a possible swap deal with cash involving Shaqiri, most likely made up.
I think he may be more useful than shaq tho myself.

4.) 27 May 2021 21:37:53
I’d rather Elliott took Shaqiri’s place. He’s ready to step up.

5.) 29 May 2021 14:59:09
Hi Ed. i'm really appreciate on your update and view about liverpool transfer. May i asked again about your thoughts on Michael Olise from Reading? Is there any chance that liverpool is interested? Cheers Ed.

{Ed002's Note - The answer is the same I am afraid - he won't be moving to Liverpool.}

6.) 29 May 2021 16:25:28
Thanks Ed. really appreciate your reply. Have a nice day.

24 May 2021 19:34:45
I know this isn't directly Liverpool related but is interesting, I have just read an article stating that Messi earns 1.2 million per week and that antoine greezman earns 795,000 per week.
That for me is just negligent running of football club, no wonder they are in such dire straights financially at Barcelona.

Snoots

{Ed025's Note - your dead right snoots..

1.) 24 May 2021 20:23:32
Messi probably repays that and then some. But Greezman £800k a week is ludicrous. Even more ludicrous is we keep being linked with signing the player.

2.) 24 May 2021 21:18:02
I believe the 1.2 million for Messi is ludicrous mark, it sets a realy bad precedent for how high Barcelona will go on wages, will only bring more financial strain upon them. With future players pushing for ridiculous wages.

3.) 25 May 2021 06:16:27
Messi is a generational talent, he's more than delivered, so I could be convinced he's worth it. But 795k for Griezman? I thought giving Sanchez 400k at ManU was criminal. This is outrageous.

4.) 25 May 2021 12:43:13
I saw something online earlier in the year which i took a screen shot of.

{Ed002's Note - Sorry - it was untrue.}

5.) 25 May 2021 13:45:11
No worries Ed002. Just goes to show the lies that are misreported about players wages.

04 May 2021 23:13:07
Hello eds, have Liverpool show any interest in the midfielder rodrigo de Paul? He is argentine, paper talk has us linked with him.

Thanks.

Snoots

{Ed002's Note - He would be an excellent addition who nearly joined Leeds last summer and there is plenary of interest from elsewhere - notably PSG who have held discussions over a move. I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool.}

1.) 05 May 2021 04:44:28
Wow seems like Ed002 rates him highly. I think we should be looking at him. Would his price be difficult for us ed?

{Ed002's Note - Rodrigo De Paul (CM) Leeds remain very keen but well short of Udinese's €40M asking price. Inter have spoken with Udinese but will want them to accept at least one player as part of the transaction - or they will possibly turn to Wijnaldum. The player wants to move to Inter but Milan will offer Jens Petter Hauge as a replacement for Manchetser City loanee Jayden Braaf and cash for Rodrigo de Paul and that might be enough to secure the transfer. Juventus have enquired after De Paul as an alternate solution if they are unable to sign their primary target but it has gone no further than that and it looks like they won't be needing him. Sevilla have shown an interest and can be discounted. PSG may offer the full asking price in cash. I am not aware of any approach from Liverpool to Udinese.

I would be more concerned if City got Erling Haaland, City with him up front will be seriously hard to compete with over a season, if they get kane I can live with that, the lesser of two evils.

Snoots

{Ed025's Note - im not too sure about that snoots..

1.) 21 Jun 2021 17:07:55
You rate Kane ed25? I see he is quality, I just think haaland is another level up myself.

{Ed025's Note - i think hes a top top player snoots, i do like haaland as well but would he suit the EPL...im not sure mate, reminds me a bit of timo werner and hes hardly pulled up any trees has he..

2.) 21 Jun 2021 17:30:05
They are 2 great players, no point in trying to sugar coat it, but then again Aguero was a great player too. It won't make much of a difference. All I want to know is Does "Origi minutes" just count at Liverpool?

3.) 21 Jun 2021 17:50:40
Haaland looks to be an incredible talent but we’ve seen what happens to many strikers who make the jump from the Bundesliga, a lot of their games are like basketball matches and you just don’t get that time and space in England.

I think its lunacy to suggest that Haaland is more of a worry/ more likely to be a guaranteed success than Kane, a proven Premier League goalscorer, although Haaland has a much higher ceiling and potential.

{Ed014's Note - and he doesn’t look like the fat unfit lump that Kane does at the moment.

4.) 21 Jun 2021 18:07:00
No doubting Kane’s ability but the ankle is an issue ….

Let’s hope Levy squeezes every penny out of corrupt Mancs 😎.

5.) 21 Jun 2021 18:28:27
I can't believe the stick Kane gets from fans. The guy has been playing in a crap Spurs team for years and is always near the top of the goal scoring charts despite annually missing a chunk of games through injury. His record speaks for itself and he would walk into any PL team a the minute. You don't have to like the guy, but you have to admit he is a very talented goal scorer.

6.) 21 Jun 2021 18:53:53
I agree Stuie,

{Ed025's Note - me too..

7.) 21 Jun 2021 18:57:17
Kane is ok but has shown that he is so reliant on Son to support him. Liverpool wise I’d rather have Son quite frankly.

8.) 21 Jun 2021 19:03:56
Why does Kane look so out of shape? Maybe it’s my memory but I don’t remember him looking unfit during the season.

9.) 21 Jun 2021 19:21:03
Tremendous player and I'd have him at Liverpool in a heartbeat. Proved it this year with all the assists for Son that he's not "just" a goalscorer.

10.) 21 Jun 2021 21:13:24
Kane Isla beast of a player, no question about it. Some if the stick hechters is warranted but at other times ot is just salt from rival fans. Now if I had to choose bow him and Son, it’s Son all day long.

11.) 21 Jun 2021 22:24:27
what "Origi minutes" would any new striker City sign be getting?

21 Jun 2021 12:56:26
Irish rover, I don't agree that if your good enough you will get game time applies to daka a third/ fourth choice forward, that is coming in at a reduced fee to what has been paid out in comparison to those ahead of him.
He isn't expected to be arriving on the same level as mane sallah and firminho, he is still a work in progress and will need to be shown some trust and worked into the team.
Which appears to be his worry, will he see this game time.
Which klopp hasn't always handed to players and rather continue to play exhausted players instead.

Snoots

1.) 21 Jun 2021 14:02:59
Klopp said he would have rested Robbo but with our 3 main cb’s injured he felt it was too much of a risk.

21 Jun 2021 10:11:17
Daka has supposedly turned us down due to worries about how much playing time he would see, no doubt the way Tsimikas has been handled the last year crossed his mind.

Snoots

1.) 21 Jun 2021 10:52:15
No worries

Next please.

2.) 21 Jun 2021 10:59:29
We don’t want a player or players who are worried about playing time if your good enough u play end of!

3.) 21 Jun 2021 11:05:51
what do you mean by handled? I think Tsimikas had a bit of misfortune with his injuries, and then faced the impossible task of trying to replace Andrew Robertson in the starting 11 (who is someone who rarely gets injured) . I would hardly say that Tsimikas has been handled poorly by the club.

Red Sandman.

4.) 21 Jun 2021 11:19:48
Robbo went through a patch of bring absolutely exhausted, we didn't see much of anything of tsimikas coming in to give him a break.
You wouldn't get to that point either if klopp showed little trust in tsimikas and gave him some game time, I think he has had a rough deal was playing great football before he joined us.

5.) 21 Jun 2021 10:27:57
I think it’s more just a case of he knows he will be replacing Jamie Vardy and he is going to be the (almost) guaranteed main man for Leicester, a very good side, whereas Liverpool he would have to fight for his place and possibly not get played enough. Surprised he turned down West Ham for the same reasons though, given the only striker they have is Antonio whose hammys are made of biscuits. It was from Zambian Football who told us a week ago he was imminently signing for Liverpool over the coming days so take it with a pinch of salt :)

6.) 21 Jun 2021 11:36:13
If you're good enough you will get game time. If not, you won't. The PL isn't a training ground. If Daka wants guaranteed game time, join Everton. You want to win trophies and prove if you've got it? He knows what to do.

{Ed025's Note - but its how you come to that conclusion IR, do you give him 1 game and if he makes a mistake put him in the garbage?, im not saying its easy but if you dont give the kids a bit of time and show some patience...you might as well scrap the academy mate..

7.) 21 Jun 2021 12:12:11
I think he's correct to ask look how mini was treated and then after a run in the saints team how much he improved. Every player needs a run of games to get match sharp and used to how players work around them.

8.) 21 Jun 2021 13:41:56
You could look at this another way. You’re saying these players need time to prove themselves, well you don’t get that luxury in the premier league. If you’re on the pitch you have to perform, end of.
What Klopp is very good at though is not throwing players in at the deep end when they’re not ready no matter how much fans and media are clambering for them to get game time.
Perhaps that’s what he’s doing with Tsimikas and Taki?
Just because they are not playing now doesn’t mean they won’t as we saw with Robbo and Fabinho who started slowly but became integral to the team.
There’s no patience in football anymore.

9.) 21 Jun 2021 14:21:41
Surely Leicester will be just as hard to break into the first team? They have Vardy, Iheanacho and I thought they were also signing Eduord from Celtic?

10.) 21 Jun 2021 14:43:18
How much Mini improved? were we watching the same player?

11.) 21 Jun 2021 15:23:16
Cobra, the article (I guess in the Echo but sourced elsewhere? ) says they moved on to Daka when Edourd was a no-go for them.

{Ed0666's Note - I wouldn’t worry Liverpool will have other targets. There is always a list for any particular position.

12.) 21 Jun 2021 16:05:37
As long as we don't pick the 3rrd/ 4th choice option, Ed0666, as that didn't work out particularly well in the past did it ;-)

{Ed0666's Note - yep I hear you. Naby was a first choice target and look how that worked out. Sometimes missing out is a blessing in disguise

09 Jun 2021 15:19:24
I haven't read a single rumour of Tammy Abraham potentially being a target of ours, where have you guys heard this?

Snoots

1.) 09 Jun 2021 15:31:37
I think the speculation was started by his Father who has lots of contacts with blue noses.
I thought the same about the rumours and asked "where are you all coming from? "

2.) 09 Jun 2021 18:04:53
There was definitely some tidbits about it in the media, but more like a week to ten days ago. I read it. I took it as click bait like 90% of the time, nowadays.

07 Jun 2021 15:10:21
Hello eds, have a curious one for you if you have any insight, would be great to get an answer.
I spotted a post a couple weeks back in another forum, from a guy saying that Liverpool's brutal run of injuries was under the same phsyio that had previously worked at Arsenal, at the time he was their they had the worst run of injuries in the league at that time also, he supposedly has a history of this at clubs.
Does this hold any water to you guys?

Thanks.

Snoots

{Ed001's Note - it has certainly been known, many times over. Newcastle were suffering badly with injuries and, after trying all kinds of changes to the training ground, eventually cleared out the physio dept. Their injuries cleared up and we hired the staff they sacked and suddenly had a spate of injury problems. If a physio misdiagnoses an injury then it can cause serious problems and it does happen a lot as it is a difficult job. I must have missed us taking on that physio, but it would be a worry taking any of Arsenal's medical staff from recent years as they have had a lot of injury problems that could easily have been avoided.}

1.) 07 Jun 2021 15:25:36
Thanks Ed01 appreciated.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}

2.) 07 Jun 2021 15:36:15
Ed01, it would be in fact, profession malpractice on the cub's part if we indeed hired a medical team that got fired for their incompetence at another club. I know correlation is not necessarily causation BUT this is very concerning if indeed, this is true.

3.) 07 Jun 2021 15:40:13
Just had a look at our physio staff, only one worked with Arsenal but had previously worked for LFC for 10 years before going to Palace and then Arsenal four years ago and then returned to us in 2020.

{Ed0666's Note - you’re like inspector gadget

4.) 07 Jun 2021 16:04:23
Chris Morgan is the man, Gerrard said he was good with him but beyond that injuries seem to follow him. Arsenal had awful injury problems with him then got rid in the summer and they had the fewest in the league this season. Andy Massey a physio we got rid of said on twitter “It’s about luck is it” when a journalist said we’d been unlucky with injuries. Jose Luis Prada another we let go said in response to a tweet about us having injuries following these changes “Investment in medical department is better than a 60m loss in player value due to injuries”.

5.) 07 Jun 2021 17:26:12
Pretty damning that he returns in 2020 and basically the proverbial hits the fan from then on.

6.) 07 Jun 2021 17:43:32
No one can blame him for VVD and Thiago’s injuries and that’s where is all started to go wrong.

7.) 07 Jun 2021 17:44:01
None of our players ever seemed to get injured and then all of a sudden they all got injured at once, it is certainly a worrying development.

However, context is important. Three of the biggest injuries in our squad, van Dijk, Thiago and Jota were all impact injuries from horror challenges. Gomez was played into the red and worked too hard by the England coaches and made his knee explode, no surprises there. As for Matip, Henderson and the various niggles we’ve had throughout the season, i have no answer. Maybe there is an issue there that must be addressed.

8.) 07 Jun 2021 18:00:39
What Mark08 said.

9.) 08 Jun 2021 07:44:32
Chris Morgan is NOT in charge of rehabilitation. That falls under Dr Andreas Schlumberger and the physio (ex-player) Richie Partridge.

10.) 08 Jun 2021 07:49:31
Also, Andreas Kornmayer is head of fitness and conditioning. He never had any particular problems at Bayern.

{Ed001's Note - he is very good at his job. As is Partridge.}

11.) 08 Jun 2021 08:46:36
Exactly, Ed001 mate. We've just been very unlucky this year with impact injuries piling on the issues that were caused by C.V. to the length of the off-season.

That would be a grim outcome for me, imagine following Liverpool FC and we don't play league football, would be heart broken myself.

{Ed025's Note - you will be alright in your little bubble with your new best friends snoots, it would be the end of football as we know it but im sure the self centred six of which you lot are the leaders wouldn,t give a toss mate..

Pretty damning that he returns in 2020 and basically the proverbial hits the fan from then on.
