If people have a problem with my posts then I will happily stop posting.

Ta.

{Ed025's Note - take no notice Carra, most of us appreciate your information mate and look forward to your input which has up to now been correct, you will always get the nay sayers who will try to pick holes in everything just for the sake of it, hang in there my friend..

17 Apr 2026 09:16:26
Hi Carra, please ignore the people having a go. Most of us really appreciate your posts and you taking the time to do it. Please keep it coming, sod the rest of them.

Please keep posting Carra. Love reading your stuff. Sometimes I scroll quickly through the entire site looking for updates from yourself, Ed1 & the comebacks of ED25.
Your posts a hugely appreciated.
Unfortunately, there will always be gobrubbishs. Ignore them.

Carra, I really look forward to your posts, as I'm sure 90% on here do, the other 10% are just sarky whingers.

Please continue, Carra. In every good work, there is always some negativity. Just ignore and continue.

I also look for your posts. Unlike some, I realise you post in good faith, but realise things can change.

Don't know why people can't see that.

Keep posting matey.

Ignore it all, mate. It's all been triggered by loads of people hearing Ornstein etc saying the opposite to what you've said.

We all know things can change, but personally I'd much rather have your input than not! Keep it coming.

Also, any further updates on incomings/outgoings or changes to your last update?

Personally hoping for a strong, dominant midfielder, one decent centre back (maybe Schlotterback) and topped off with Diomande and Olise...

Maybe I'm just being greedy? (My gut would definitely agree).

I'm a believer, Carra lad.

How does a journalist manage to get his or her information to report, as Romano seems to have a lot to say but not much is true. Do they have someone at the club telling them or just guesswork?

Agree1

Carra, keep going, my friend, you are our hope and inspiration with every post.
You are very much appreciated for your time spent keeping our spirits up. Don't let the few ruin it for the many. YNWA

Carra is the one we listen to on here, you don't say it's happening, you pass on good info. A lot of supposedly ITKs on here just post what's been in the press n then come on here n say my source blah blah blah, I could even do that.

Agree4

17 Apr 2026 11:03:37
People are hearing Slot is staying from journos and getting aggy. Most of the people on this site regard what you say highly.

I have far more interest in what you, TheFields, Robbo & the Ed's have to say over any of the journos.

Thanks for all the info you pass on, Carra!

Good god don't let them win Carra mate. As the late great ed002 used to say. " the knuckle dragging folk are out again". Keep em coming mate.

17 Apr 2026 11:24:04
When Carra speaks we listen. When others speak we laugh. Carra is one of the posters who is literally on the money 99% of the time. Things, as we know, can change very quickly in the football world.

It's a rumours site, folks. If you can't handle the good guys giving information, which is why we come to this site, then maybe slysoprts is the place for yous.

Turn those doubters into believers!

I'm with you, Carra. I've not posted anything because it's all becoming a little toxic towards people like ourselves. We can't always be right as things change. People need to understand that and not see it as kop out.

Agree9

{Ed025's Note - i wouldn,t take no notice of the posters who actually offer nothing TF they are just looking for a scapegoat mate, the good posters and the ED,s are thankful to have posters lijke yourself, Carra, Robbo, Ned etc who put their head on the block to supply us with information, anybody with half a brain can see that things can change from time to time but im confident that all the information you guys supply is correct at the time..keep it coming guys..

17 Apr 2026 12:02:52
Hi Thefields, like Carra, really sorry you feel like that, mate. Please don't let some of the people push you away. We appreciate your insight. If it wasn't for you, Carra, Robbo etc., they'd be moaning there was nobody with insight.

Most of us appreciate everything you guys do and the time you take of your day to give us this info.

VictorGoddam, Robbo LFC, Carra, The Fields, Ned, apologies to anyone I can't remember.

Guys, please keep them coming. Good reading and great for us who take it to the pub and gives us something good to chat about this season.

Without you lot, I'd be the laughing stock of the pubs.
Only so much, still technically the best team in the country as we're current champions I can push back with.

Appreciate the info that's put on here.

Been visiting this site for years, incite from people with inside knowledge is what makes it special. We were lucky to have Ed 2 and Macca, and we are lucky to have Carra and the rest of the posters that offer great insight. I also love the old school rumours, from the window cleaners etc. I have to also say what a great job all the other Eds do too, it's just depressing that they have to deal with so much rubbish.

Liverpool fans will often tell you that we are special, the best fans in the world. That YNWA means more than any other phrase in football. I would ask all fans to try think of this before spewing bile online. Cheers.

This site is wild just now, people calling out the ITK's, arguing with each other over what some "reliable journalist" who is a mouth piece for the club is posting... on top of that the "FSG" want Slot to stay argument...

People need to be logical, look at the clues and be patient as it won't be long before we know who actually knows what they are talking about and who does not.

Slot has 13 months left on his contract, as shown many times he's not settled and the complete changes in formation etc for me show he has no clue how to change things....

I don't think this is a blip and it sounds like due to him being "Hughes and Edwards" man and winning the league last season they want to give him the remainder so he can close his account with Liverpool and they all save face.

I personally think Slot leaves at the end of the season, everything points to that and the journalists claiming otherwise are being told to by the club again to make it look like LFC never failed nor did Slot.... It's all ego.

17 Apr 2026 09:22:03
I am quite surprised at the call out as well.

One of the ITKs mentioned that the club already met with journalists, so news like this should be expected, but it is just a facade, as Slot is still leaving at the end of the season.

Carra also mentioned that Slot might be requesting to leave so as to return home, which, in fact, is another perspective.

While the ITKs have not always been hundred percent accurate with their info, they have been correct on several occasions.

So, instead of turning on them now because of what some journalists are saying, why not wait until the end of the season to see what actually happens? I am sure the journalists have not always been correct as well.

I personally think he will leave at the end of the season, with a send forth in appreciation of last season title victory. This might just be another reason why the club did not sack him.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 10:14:55
It's a superiority thing calling out the ITKs. Thinking they are smarter than everybody else here.

I always enjoy a good rumour and love reading Carras, Fields, Akira and the many more posts. Good fun.

Even the "reliable" journalists get a tonne wrong when to transfer rumours, but it's enjoyable to read and think about.

Some people here think we are all rushing off to the bookies to bet our life savings on these rumours.

Trust me, we are all just enjoying the site and having some banter. Whether the ITKs have genuine contact, or things keep changing in the background, I never know, but I'll enjoy the info all the same, as I would reading any other rumour.

Agree5

17 Apr 2026 10:34:17
Spot on Davey, as a certain Manc manager said, it is squeaky bum time and our fans are getting frantic over whether Slot goes or stays, and ITKs are trying their best to lift spirits. YNWA.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 13:03:24
I don't mind so called ITK's. They are voicing their opinions based on what they know and have the guts to put on this site, which I find rather courageous.

At the end of the day, we will all be here to see exactly what will happen, and then let the chips fall where they may. If the so called ITK's are wrong, then it simply doesn't mean they were told fake news directly.

It may just mean that either they were fed fake news, or they were fed actual news at the time and things then changed, and something else was done.

Personally, I don't waste my time following ITK's around.

Frode Kippers, my comment re Arsenal was an attempt at a light hearted play on words as I have 2 mates who are Arsenal supporters. While you are out and about today try and pick yourself up a sense of humour.

17 Apr 2026 06:44:04
Eds or posters, I saw Redknapp (Jamie) doing some punditry rnd other day. I started watching football in the early 2000s, so I know he was captain and played for us. However, I have no recollection of him actually playing just him being injured.

I just wondered what was he like as a player?

{Ed001's Note - he was very good, but had a tendency to coast through games and did not work hard enough. Also had this annoying habit of dropping right back to stand on the toes of the centre-backs to take the ball off them. Why he couldn't just stand 5 or 10 yards further forward and let them pass it to them, where he would have been in a better position to create danger, I have no idea.}

17 Apr 2026 07:51:16
Redknapp was the best sideways passing midfielder in Liverpool's history. If you wanted a player to pick the ball off our defenders, drop the shoulder a few times, then pass it 10 yards sideways or back, he was your man. I think he had a doctor's note that said he wasn't allowed to pass forward more than twice a game on medical grounds.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 08:07:11
Bobby, Apparently Jordan Henderson had posters of Redknapp on his bedroom wall.

In fairness, so did I, but mine were Louise.

Redknapp was one-paced but was a half-decent footballer, but, like his dad, he is a blagger on Sky TV football.

Agree0

17 Apr 2026 16:00:55
Some strike of a ball had Jamie. Was part of a great MF to watch alongside Barnes and McManaman. Not a DM in sight. 😁

Agree0

17 Apr 2026 06:24:31
I'm not ITK but taking all the rumours together my take is Slot did offer to resign a few weeks ago as he wants to return home. The club have asked him to hold on till the end of the season as they don't want him to go, but if he still feels the same then they will come up with a mutually suitable package.

Like I said that just feels like what's happening. Not sure what others or the eds think.

17 Apr 2026 06:56:16
That would also fit with the sudden posts by the press stating the club's backing. They want him to see their public backing of him.

But, if he wants to be with his family, not sure it will work.

Agree0

17 Apr 2026 07:01:59
Sounds plausible.

If he actually wanted to stay and wasn't homesick, I'd be more inclined to believe the owners giving him more time to refresh the squad.

Assuming what some of the ITW's have posted regarding him popping home at any given opportunity, it would make sense he goes in the summer.

I get that getting someone in sooner rather than later would be better given there's a World Cup round the corner and a new manager would need all the time they can get to assess the squad, but maybe this is how they want to deal with it....

and maybe he changes his mind.

Personally, I don't want a manager who's not "all in" for our club and dedicated to get the very best of our amazing players and any new ones coming in. That's why I think he'll go. Nice guy and everything but just not committed enough by the looks of things.

Agree2

17 Apr 2026 07:36:06
I agree, 2shoes, you can't be a manager of a club like ours and not be all in. I don't think he realised the size of the club or the pressure that comes with it before he took the job.

This summer is going to be interesting.

Agree4

17 Apr 2026 07:47:57
It was meant to say ITK's, by the way. Stupid fat fingers! πŸ™„

Agree2

17 Apr 2026 08:09:15
Don't worry for that. 🀣

My concern is they convince him to stay. A few months in, things aren't going well and he decides he's off or we get rid, but at that time the managers we could have got are elsewhere and not moving.

Agree3

17 Apr 2026 08:33:36
Very dangerous going with a manager that's in the last 12 months of his contract.

Personally, it looks like he's lost most of the dressing room, looking at players' body language and effort levels. Slot, trying to lead a team that knows he has less than 12 months to go on his contract, would be a no win battle in my eyes.

Agree4

17 Apr 2026 10:12:48
I just can't believe we would let him go again when clearly his heart isn't in it.... Just doesn't feel like the right thing to do.... And the fact we could miss out on two potentially great options would be such a gamble!

Agree0

17 Apr 2026 13:08:50
SA, that makes sense if this indeed is as you describe the situation to be. As I have always said, the public backing was all about posturing in public, and with the news you are sharing then, that's all it was.

If Slot wants to go home cos he hasn't settled here (which I can completely understand, having worked and lived abroad, away from my parents, bros.

and sis. for almost 3 decades) and misses his fam and his country, it may just have been that the club has written this season off completely and let him just finish the season, and we start over next term.

Either way, we will see what happens when the season ends.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 03:26:07
Another sad news. Ex Arsenal and LFC goalkeeper passing away in freak accident.

RIP Alex Manninger.

17 Apr 2026 01:36:13
FYI
FSG do not remove managers before the end of season. Last time was with Rodgers. They do not do it at the Red Sox. They have had a few terrible seasons and waited till the end to fire the manager. I personally feel that Slot will be gone. FSG haven't all the sudden forgotten how to run winning sports franchises.

I also feel this is a one off blip of a year. Between injuries, waiting on Isak, Palace canceling Guehi, Salah and VVD's loss of form and finally Jota, there was a lot that went wrong this year. I'm not buying all the doom and gloom. Changes will be made. The team will compete for trophies again.

17 Apr 2026 06:30:43
2 weeks ago, anyone who moaned was told we would still win the CL & FA Cup. Look how that turned out.

There's a hell of a lot of work to be done in the summer on and off the pitch to get us back on track.

Agree11

17 Apr 2026 06:47:27
Why do fans give credit to FSG, "oh they know what they're doing". They've got a tonne of money and people assume they're competent. They've been called out many times by Red Sox fans for their approach and Liverpool fans. Liverpool fans give them a free pass because they "saved us", despite the fact there was another deal to buy us during those tumultuous days.

The fact they've written off another season, and they did this under Klopp, shows how negligent they are. I wouldn't trust them to do anything if they think the three amigos are suitable.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 08:42:57
FSG are good owners, Frode. There's no doubt about that. They've improved the club no end since the beginning of their tenure.

Agree4

17 Apr 2026 00:26:23
There’s still hope as things stand, Arsenal are still on for the Quadrubottle.

17 Apr 2026 06:48:04
Why are you bothered about Arsenal? They're currently light years ahead of us.

Agree2

17 Apr 2026 07:03:15
They're not light years ahead of us at all.

Agree6

17 Apr 2026 08:09:00
Arsenal have quality depth in several positions, and have a clear way of playing, however uninspired that way of playing may be, and the depth gives them a way of varying that system slightly in accordance with the opposition or state of the game (though not drastically). Liverpool, on the other hand, don't appear to have any discernible shape or style (even though the 4-2-2-2 seems the best fit right now), partly due to disruptions because of injury or fitness. In terms of chance creation and ball progression though, Arsenal are hardly better than us and I would say actually substantially worse in open play, our biggest problem this year is that we consistently get in dangerous situations and positions but almost always fluff the final ball or make terrible decisions in the final third.

Both teams suffer greatly from risk averse managers, though they are risk averse in different ways - Arteta refuses to have his players play dangerous passes for fear of being done on the counter, and Slot refuses to have his players press aggressively in a committed and coordinated way most of the time, leading to a weak front press and huge gaps between the front line and the next line of defense.

Agree4

17 Apr 2026 08:19:48
2shoes, they are miles better than us at the minute, I wish I was in denial to be fair. It's 18 points, at what point do you admit they are way way better than us?

Agree0

17 Apr 2026 08:45:50
PB hits the nail on the head. We both suffer from risk-averse managers. Precisely, PB!! Arsenal should have the PL wrapped up in a bow by now! Should have.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 09:41:51
It's banter! Seriously, chill out and see it as it is... jeez!

Agree0

17 Apr 2026 13:21:32
PB, which depth do they have, exactly? The ones Arteta himself refuses to use? For me, their "depth" is in "name only", imo. You got Arteta despite all that depth playing guys like Gabriel, Timber, Saliba and even Madueke and Eze and most importantly Dec. Rice while being injured/carrying injuries for weeks now, and it is hurting them badly with the way they play, and their fans are howling at Arteta for it. He did the same last season with Timber, Ben White and Rice as well, btw.

This as well as his dreadful, risk-averse tactics are what has led Arsenal to the brink of a Quadrubottle, as the OP said. Or do you think them having 11 players out of int'l duty last season was a stunt? It wasn't. This is what Arteta has done to Arsenal, all by himself and it will be all on him should they lose to City cos that CL ain't happening for them.

Agree0

17 Apr 2026 13:21:42
Oh, and @2shoes is correct. This Arsenal team are nowhere near being light years of us by any stretch of the imagination, imo. They couldn't even score a goal against us this season and we're a complete trainwreck of a team. Had we had our ship together, we are in a title race.

Agree0

16 Apr 2026 22:34:33
I hope the lads are up for Sunday because the blue fans I know are expecting us to get a good battering. They think we are scared to play them
My problem: we do not know what team will turn up and Slots tactics.
Ynwa.

16 Apr 2026 23:21:25
It's going to be a bloodbath for us. Slot took time off this week to go fannying about in London rather than prepare for the game:.

Agree12

16 Apr 2026 23:36:49
I think we'll win.

Agree3

16 Apr 2026 23:40:41
That is just unbelievable, before a Merseyside derby and we still need to secure Champions League Football. We lack fitness, a fighting mentality, work rate. There is so much too work on.

Slot is not a competitor, there is no fire in his belly. He is a soft c@#k.It seems like losing doesn't hurt him. He doesn't feel it like the supporters do.

Agree9

17 Apr 2026 00:58:46
We'll win all our remaining games.

Agree2

17 Apr 2026 01:18:15
Ron is spot on, not only will we win all our remaining games and easily qualify for Champions League, we will then go on to win the World Cup this summer, Slot will prove everyone wrong, he'll grow his hair out in the style of Ruud Gullit circa 1988, Florian Musiala will assume his rightful role as Editor in Chief of this very site, and all will be right with the word.

Agree11

17 Apr 2026 03:27:32
It is becoming more evident that Slot's head is not in the game anymore, especially if reports that he wants to be with his family are true. Jetting home at each opportunity, or going for family outings whenever he can, shows that he is prioritising his family over the club.

Which is no fault in itself, but it is affecting the club's results and players, and he needs to go.

Agree3

17 Apr 2026 04:23:21
Getting away from Slot for a second, I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but top, top praise to Everton and the unveiling of the plaque to the 97 at their new ground.

Genuine respect to the club and their fans - not only a permanent reminder of a horrible day but a nice show of respect between the clubs and fans that used to be commonplace back in the day.

Agree9

17 Apr 2026 06:49:13
Watch when we beat Everton, Florian will tell everyone how he's been right all season.

Agree3

17 Apr 2026 07:17:11
Frode, there are things that Florian says that I don't agree with, but I'm not sure why you are giving him stick just because he posted how he is supporting us winning our next game.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 07:42:51
Chewy, I'm not overly concerned about the club winning the World Cup. However, I'm all in on us winning the Eurovision Song Contest though.

Agree4

17 Apr 2026 08:10:41
Incredible that thinking that the club you support will beat Everton or win any game from here on out is now enough to have folks dubbing you a superfan and a Slot groupie.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 08:28:50
We are nailed on to win the FIFA Peace Prize as we are so toothless.

Agree3

{Ed025's Note - and dont forget...McAllister is up for an Oscar FW.. :)

17 Apr 2026 08:38:25
Great shout WDW, it was a lovely thing for Everton to do.
Onto the match, I don't fancy our chances. We lack the intensity, passion and fitness for derby matches. Toothless up front, weak & slow in midfield, and a shambles at the back. I'm unsure of Everton's form of late, but I think we'll come back with a 'L'.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 12:34:04
JK23, haha, how did I forget?! World Cup should be a doddle, but the Eurovision will be tough, apparently Lordi, Dustin the Turkey and Conchita Wurst are all returning this year, some very stiff competition indeed.

Phil_LFC, Florian predicts we'll win every game.

PatrikBurgher, you know well, it's not just for thinking we'll beat Everton, it's for the relentless toxic positivity, claiming we will win every game, and you know it, so don't try and twist it.

Agree1

17 Apr 2026 16:12:16
I don't predict we'll win every game. For instance, after everyone was on a high after the 4-0 Gala game, I said Brighton away would be much harder. I thought we'd go out the other night, among other examples.

You and Frode seem obsessed with me for some reason. I apologise if I don't sit around all day doom and gloom and actually think my team can win matches.
