Use our rumours form to send us liverpool transfer rumours.

11 Jul 2017 22:57:03
Telegraph reporting the case I think Ed002 has referred to a few times of the youngster who is 13.

We have been accused of falsifying documents and tapping up.

Just shocking if what is read is true. Actions are bad enough but the kid is 13. Shameful. Some serious changes in backroom staff/ management staff needed urgently at LFC.

Clicked the button by accident, was going to add, done to death yes it's wrong but it is what it is. Stupid move on our behalf? yes to say the least, what's done is done we need to change that's for sure. I just read the article as well and it's absolutely disgusting, I'm hoping we have learnt our lesson but I fear we probably haven't.

11 Jul 2017 23:40:19
But the thing is did FSG know what was going on? If they didn't they really need to sort this out once and for all. It is so embarrassing for such a respectable club well maybe not now to be so under hand in dealing with other club's when there's absolutely no need. You find out if a player would like to join one of the best club's in the world and if they say no then it's onto the next player end of. Head/ Head's need to roll for this, very embarrassing.

11 Jul 2017 23:43:37
We should do the decent thing and pay his costs, as City did with 2 youngsters they were found guilty of tapping up. In terms of the sums being talked about for transfers, this is small beer.

12 Jul 2017 00:15:05
Good question Barry, makes me wonder as well if fsg knew.

12 Jul 2017 00:37:37
I think it's a disgrace that the club have left them high and dry.

You got caught makin an illegal approach and offered incentives you couldn't under the rules provide. Just back away and pay for the lads fees as a goodwill gesture as a bare minimum.

I expect better from our club but sadly this appears to be the norm at the moment as opposed to the exception.

12 Jul 2017 08:58:34
it's like our club think they're unstoppable or divine, embarrassing and I hope we get punished to take those in charge of these decisions down a peg or two.

11 Jul 2017 21:35:41
Hi eds
And all off our supporters.
1st time poster. just wondering could we have any interest in Ross Barkley. I know you hate responding to random names but I've heard a little whisper of interest in him?
I personally think he'd be a great addition.
Thanks lads.

{Ed002's Note - No Gary.}

11 Jul 2017 21:46:15
Ok cool thanks man.

11 Jul 2017 21:46:52
Ok cool thanks man.

11 Jul 2017 21:50:52
Must be a joke?

11 Jul 2017 23:35:15
I wouldn't take him if they paid us.

12 Jul 2017 07:23:38
Koeman has sized him up for a year and wants rid. That should let off massive alarm bells. Talented with a poor attitude and no discipline.

12 Jul 2017 08:14:17
Good Lord no. Reckless, undisciplined and inconsistent.
We can do far better than that.

12 Jul 2017 08:58:14
We had Suarez, great player but an idiot, we got rid.

We got Balotelli, pure and simple idiot, who should never of signed - we got rid.

Sakho, idiot, we're getting rid.

We don't need another, for once in a long time we might be free of these fools. Let's not be talking about thugs like Barkley, its an insult mentioning him and Liverpool in the same sentence.

12 Jul 2017 09:36:13
Idiot and not even that talented.

11 Jul 2017 20:56:12
First time poster but have been reading the site for a number of years.

Just wanted to give my opinion on the negativity regarding the potential signings of Robertson and Oxlade-Chamberlain. If you look back to the preseason of last year and look at Chelsea. Who would have thought that the signings of Marcos Alonso (former Bolton reject) and the return of Victor Moses (loan system journeyman) would go on to become key players in a title winning team.

Just shows that a different manager and a change of system can completely change a player so have fate in our signings as I'm sure both players will become great additions to our squad for the new season.

11 Jul 2017 21:09:06
The difference being those were fairly bog standard players being added to a largely world class squad. What we're going in the case of Ox is adding a very mediocre player to a pretty average squad. Do you note the difference?

11 Jul 2017 21:11:44
Agree.

11 Jul 2017 21:12:56
Welcome mate.

Very good points there.

Klopp totally changed Lallana, he had a smashing season, It'd certainly be interesting to see how he could change Ox.

11 Jul 2017 21:22:06
Finally a read of sense.
These linked players haven't even kicked a ball for us yet but a huge majority of posts are negative reads.

Yes we all have opinions. Let's not judge a book before we have read it guys.

Your never walk alone? Anyone still hold that?

11 Jul 2017 21:23:05
I think you are missing the point on Ox. Robertson might prove people wrong coz we are in actual need of a LB and he ha a natural left back! I am personally not keen on the player.
Regarding Ox, it doesn't matter how good / bad the lad is in the first place. The point is we don't need another B2B midfielder. We have in abundance. He might go and become a Messi I couldn't care less!
The team need a CM who is different from what we have atm. Not adding a very similar type player.
You tell me how is Ox different from our current crop of player?
By signing OX you are not actually filling the position but adding more confusion!
If he was a Holding Mid, DM or CM ( proper ) the argument would be only about his qualities and not need!

We brought james Milner thinking exactly the same and he is now a LB!

I hope you get the point.

11 Jul 2017 21:34:22
Klopp did not change Lallana. Lallana started pressing and his brilliant form that people mentioning came in the first 4 months of the season simply coz we had SPACE to move around the ball!

Take out SPACE to run and Lallana us still an average player who need someone behind to pick the pass!

You guys are not looking tactically about the game.

You could never change a player but only improve his attributes to suit your system and requirements.

AOX one day miraculously wouldn't become DLP or DM.
He at his best night start putting more decent crises which is what he is good at. You cannot teach a player a new thing. This is a very rare case among players!

11 Jul 2017 21:39:38
gazza827 I've seen more than enough of Oxlade to form a fair an reasoned opinion. That is that he is a very mediocre winger. He's not a centre midfielder, contrary to his own delusions of grandeur.

11 Jul 2017 21:46:08
Yeah alright Harry mate, let's put it simply. BR tactics was different to Klopps, is Lallana not better now then he was under BR? it's a no brainer mate, no matter how you want to look at it, he's upped Lallana's game incredibly.

You've basically said it yourself 'but only improve his attributes to suit your system and requirements' does that not say it all? The player has changed for the better due to Klopps system.

You started your post with ' Klopp did not change Lallana ' you've kind of contradicted yourself Harry there.

11 Jul 2017 21:47:31
Totally agree If you know me. To many fans ( and I use that term loosely) get on the backs of players who haven't even signed for us yet and are yet to kick a ball in a Liverpool shirt. Just because Robertson plays For Hull who were relegated does not make him a bad player! Look at a certain player who we signed from a RELEGATED Newcastle last season fans were up in arms claiming he wasn't good enough etc. we all know how that worked out don't we? As for Ox as far as I'm concerned I will be very happy if this transfer happens. What a player to be able to bring into games! Bags of pace scores goals. okay he needs consistency but he is still only 23. Champions league experience and premier league!

11 Jul 2017 21:55:55
Teabag

Tell me why Klopp couldn't change Lazar Markovic who in my eye is better footballer than Lallana! Or Jordan Ibe! There is a long list of players Klopp simply couldn't IMPROVE.

Take out Coutinho and Lallana is a flat two footed average player who could run all day, win the ball back and pass it a better player!

This is just a myth you change the entire game style of a player! You just at the very best improve their existing attributes.

Salah will bench Lallana.

11 Jul 2017 22:21:06
Hendos heel, if you call being consistently being made to look like a Sunday league footballer by European opponents champions league experience. then yeah great Ox has that in abundance.

11 Jul 2017 22:34:09
Of course he can't change every player harry, the man is only human.

Point is, he HAS upped Lallanas game. Simple as that mate.

Markovich I really wanted to see more of, Klopp wouldn't give him the time of day, why? who knows. Maybe he would of been better then Lallana, but he never got his chance, which is unfortunate but it is what it is, it happens. But as things stand he's not better then Lallana. Each to their own.

You can't say that about Salah, he hasn't played a single minute for us yet, I do believe he will as well, but hold your horses. For all we know he could be terrible, we will have to wait and see.

11 Jul 2017 22:46:08
Hansens scar, we don't know where he will play bud.
I'm in hope some Klopp magic and the Oz can become a decent acquisition to our squad.
Remember, we will be chasing 4 trophies next season.

11 Jul 2017 22:52:52
Hansen I said he needs to be more consistent. he is still only 23 so there is room for a lot of improvement. But it is a fact he has champions league experience and prem experience. I'm not saying he would be a starter but there potentially a lot more games this season which could result in more injuries to our attacking line up so imo the ox would be a great back up player who can fill in lots of different positions.

11 Jul 2017 22:55:10
Ox collecting the ball on the half turn in space could be a big weapon for us. I'd be delighted if he signs.

11 Jul 2017 23:10:44
Why are you lot comparing markovic and lallana? They are two different players with two different playing styles?

I for one would like to see the ox given a chance, 23 mind?! Plenty of time to learn and adapt his game and play games.

11 Jul 2017 23:09:56
Imagine salah, firmino, Coutinho and Mane are on the field. Firmino is having a rough game so we bring on Sturridge. Salah picks up a knock so on comes. Lallana. I personally value what Ox brings the table and he has bags of potential but I have to admit he would find a hard time in our squad unless we consider challenging for all four in which case he would be an excellent steal out from under Arsenals wenger.

11 Jul 2017 23:20:51
Harry, Markovic was never given a proper chance in his proper position and to be honest he couldn't keep up with the speed and power of the prem mentally and physically. He is perfect for Spain though.
There is plenty of players in Spain who have moved over to the prem with big hype and flopped amazingly.

But I don’t get how you can compare him to Lallana? . They play completely different roles.

Also you seem to be thinking of Lallana only in a LFC shirt. He was near world class (bring on the hate) before we signed him and he couldn't adjust properly but now Klopp has a system in which Lallana is shining through again.

I agree Klopp "hasn’t changed Lallana" but he is drawing out the best in him which is then reason we originally bought him.

And Hansens Scar I wouldn’t exactly say Liverpool has a "pretty average squad". We have some absolutely outstanding players (let’s ignore our defence though) . Buuuut I do agree with you, and a lot of people saying we do not need the Ox.

We have plenty of midfielders and several who can cover the wings if needed whilst still leaving plenty of choice in the middle of the park.

The only type of midfielder I would want Liverpool going for is a pure tank of a player with a loud mouth to protect the CBs who will win most air battles. but they are harder to find with the game being more "technical"

LB and CB are what we need the most and everybody knows it (please don’t start mentioning the same names the devs are sick of xD)

11 Jul 2017 23:35:31
Signing Ox, if it happens would be the best value signing since Matip.

He's 24, has his best years ahead of him and has already more Champs league experience than most players
get in their whole career.

Hes big, strong, fast, and is a perfect fit for Klopp as a utility player. He is a better crosser than Clyne and can play anywhere on the right.

12 Jul 2017 06:34:13
I personally think Lallana has upped his own game to due Klopps system which allows our front 3 a little more freedom. I love Klopp but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We'll be giving Klopp credit for Lallana's top form at saints all those years ago next 😂.

12 Jul 2017 06:59:34
What happened to the once we get CL football then it will open up the market to top players and we can compete with other teams. Not criticising who we have bought but personally I believe we could have signed Salah and Solanke and attracted Ox without it. So to me nothing has changed.

12 Jul 2017 07:27:47
So you all want the club to splash £30 mill on a back up player / Squad filler? What is Grujic then? How is Ox any different to Grujic? What will happen to Grujic given you are brining an exact similar player?
Our attacking midfielder's quota is filled people! We could either have a Defensive midfielder or proper CM.
Why is it very hard to people to understand the GAME! You are running behind names and not position!

12 Jul 2017 09:04:10
When you say he can play anywhere on the right, this is a misleading statement. He can play right back badly, since he's no idea about defending, he can play really get wing back badly for the same reason and as a very average premier league right winger. The man himself has delusions that he can play centre midfield, which is a bigger laugh than Everton signing Rooney. This is £30m squad filler, he's no better than Stewart Downing, that's the type of signing this is. Ask yourself why no other top four side are interested? He's been shown time and again that he simply isn't good enough at the highest level as he doesn't have the football brains to take him beyond simply being about power, you only need to look at the downturn in Rooney's form over the last four or five years to see that type of player has a very limited shelf life.

12 Jul 2017 09:16:43
Harry I can't disagree with you there, I do believe we should be giving Grujic more of a chance before bringing somebody else in, but Klopp knows best mate, or id like to think so anyway.

12 Jul 2017 09:30:12
Not Rooney's biggest fan but as record England and UTD goal scorer he's hardly had a very limited shelf life 😂.

12 Jul 2017 09:41:40
Harry you talk rubbish, you waffle on and on and half of what your saying doesn't even make sense mate. but I enjoy reading it. Your my guilty pleasure!

11 Jul 2017 19:29:37
With respect to Salah's work permit situation, can I please be also left in Paris on expenses for a few days?

11 Jul 2017 19:06:33
Well, Mendy has been spotted with Union Jack shorts on, looking into the distance saying " see you soon"

Now I'm sure he was gazing towards the Mersey and not the Manchester ship canal.

😎😎.

11 Jul 2017 19:33:41
He is not coming to Liverpool FC.

Sounds like a proper chav.

11 Jul 2017 20:04:15
yeah he probs had a fake burberry cap on as well.

11 Jul 2017 21:12:43
Fit either Manchester club then!

11 Jul 2017 18:59:36
Have faith fellow reds it takes time to add quality to a quality team!
It's no good going at it like a kid with his first bit of pocket money buying and eating every sweet in the shop then throwing up all over the place as the lot from the other side of the park are doing.

Hi all. first time poster. wondering y all the negativity just a few days into the window opening? With a few tweaks to the squad and Hendo and Mane, back plus Ings and Gomez not to mention Coutinho injured for a spell i believe we are in for a decent campaign. keep up the great work Eds. Love the site

Believable6 Unbelievable0

11 Jul 2017 18:32:38
Plus Salah and Solanke. I would just be happy with a left back now and give the youngsters a chance if we suffer with any injuries.

11 Jul 2017 17:17:12
What happend with the rumours about Jonathan tah and the rumours about signing manolas. I feel like both are the type of defender we need who have proven themselves in other big leagues.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - (a) Liverpool interest dates from when he was at Hamburg and Rodgers was in charge. (b) Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter and Zenit have all shown an interest and Zenit all but signed him but it fell apart. His agent suggest many other are keen but Roma are not aware of it. You can likely Strike Zenit and Chelsea from this list.}

11 Jul 2017 18:35:44
Tah has been very poor this season. Leverkusen were close to relegation and he has been dropped from the German national team.

11 Jul 2017 19:28:22
NO TA LOL.

11 Jul 2017 17:11:14
Hi guys, Any news on Sakho? I've seen pictures and videos of him back in training, he looks like he's trying to fight back into the side. This combined with a lack of movement from over teams to sign him suggests to me he might stay. I'm probably just being too optimistic though.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Klopp doesn't want him and the club are trying hard to sell him. There has been interest but the asking price is an issue.}

11 Jul 2017 17:48:57
Is he training with the first team again?

11 Jul 2017 18:32:56
Sure I read somewhere yesterday that he is being made to train alone away from the squad. If correct then that speaks volumes.

11 Jul 2017 18:33:03
He was training on his own a couple of days ago.

11 Jul 2017 18:57:21
Just to clarify in pictures videos etc I mentioned, he was always alone.

11 Jul 2017 20:05:50
We probably should drop the price for him to make sure he ends up gone. Don't want to be stuck with him for another season.

11 Jul 2017 16:46:29
I don't normally post just like the banter, but am I right in thinking that we are seeing what happens with qualification to the group stages of CL before going and making our intentions fully known in the transfer market.
Could it be that we have plans for qualification and plans for non qualification. If so, a good strategy imo.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - No, the intentions were made known when Klopp briefed the press in April.}

11 Jul 2017 16:31:45
Hi Ed's,

Please pardon and forgove my ignorance here, but are there different types of Work Permits you can apply for, for players? As in some circumstances, players just appear to get them granted whilst others (Grujic and Salah) need to leave the country prior to being able to play. I am sure I have overlooked or missed something, but figured I should ask those with an evidently superior knowledge on such topics.

Thanks for your time as always.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its usually determined by age, playing time experience, international caps etc i believe jimy, i dont know how thats actually calculated though mate..

11 Jul 2017 16:41:13
I was wondering about this myself. Rangers appear to have signed a fair few players who required permits, but none of them are major players for their national teams (think the mexicans had about 30 caps between them, and they're in their mid to late 20's) .

Seems odd, as I would assume British rules were the same with regards to Work Permits.

11 Jul 2017 16:20:47
Is there any interest in ..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Try the European pages.}

11 Jul 2017 15:29:03
Another day and same same. I choose to believe that Liverpool learnt their lesson with the VVD debacle and are now less public with their dealings. A question for the EDs, would you be willing to let Can leave if it ensures the purchase of Keita.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - How can selling Can ensure the signing of Keita?}

11 Jul 2017 15:53:18
Leipzig are only going to sell to us if we let Can go to Juventus. LOL.

Where do you get this stuff?

11 Jul 2017 16:10:49
I think the OP worded it badly but basically meant, would you be happy if we sold Can and signed Keita.

My answer is a flat no. Our midfield often gets accused of being soft so why get rid of one of the toughest and more robust midfielders we have? Especially to replace him with a guy who is more attacking, useless in the air, and nowhere near as strong on and off the ball. Can is a Germany international. Germany don't cap average players! He was shaky at the start of last season admittedly, and I think most would've let him leave, but in the second half of the season he became a different animal. He was dominating teams like United, Everton and City, cropping up with big winning goals against the lesser teams we struggled to break down, and just in general was excellent.

Better the devil you know then the devil you don't. Can is proven in the Prem and it says it all that Juventus want him now and Bayern never wanted to sell him. Meanwhile none of the big clubs (except Arsenal and us if that counts) want to go near Keita. The grass isn't always greener people.

11 Jul 2017 16:19:13
Can plays at the base of the midfield. Keita is a box to box midfielder, so totally unrelated matters. Keita is a luxury option Klopp would like (nothing wrong with that) but I would like to see Can sign a new contract and new defenders arriving before any deal for Keita happens.

11 Jul 2017 16:33:58
Can is okay but I wouldn't mind swapping him for Kieta. His injury has seemed to set him back in my opinion. His passing and touch isn't great. Even without Kieta I struggle to see where he would get in our team when all our midfielders are fit. Hendo, Coutinho and Lallana would be ahead of him in my opinion.

11 Jul 2017 18:28:42
A false dichotomy. I'd like to see both.

12 Jul 2017 09:27:54

11 Jul 2017 14:45:48
Everyday it's the same vvd and ketia guys they ain't coming time to move on Robertson yes I think will arrive but we have to move players on the vvd and especially ketia ain't happening we haven't even put a bid in for them it's all paper crap the likes off liverpool echo daily mirror and star just trying to get fans excited I'd love vvd and ketia but not happening I'm afraid.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

11 Jul 2017 14:51:36
Still think VVD will happen. Keita not a chance imo. Robertson unfortunately will sign.

{Ed002's Note - Get your usual hate campaign going for players Liverpool are interested in - embarrassing from you as ever.}

11 Jul 2017 14:52:58
VVD and Keita who? never heard of em.

11 Jul 2017 14:58:49
Agreed!

11 Jul 2017 15:10:21
'Robertson unfortunately will sign' is he not an improvement on our current LB situation? I think your been a little harsh, trust Klopp, he an the eye for it.

11 Jul 2017 15:43:33
Robertson isn't any good and that's a fact.

{Ed002's Note - Why do you bother coming to the Liverpool site? Every single post of yours is negative towards Liverpool players of the past, present or future.}

11 Jul 2017 15:52:09
typical negative posts as per usual from the usual culprits! Embarrassing is an understatement.

11 Jul 2017 15:54:19
Have you even seen him play?

Stop with all the negativity!

11 Jul 2017 16:24:21
No, I don't think Robertson is any major improvement on our current LB options. Its my opinion and I stand by it. If he signs, I will support him but don't be surprised to see Klopp re-evaluate his LB options again in the summer of 2018/ 19.
And Ed002 needs to get over himself with his constant 'hate campaigns' obsession. Where did I say I hate the player. I just don't think he elevates LFC to a title challenging side. No one's going to drive Robertson out of the club with the hate, its up to the player to prove his worth (if he signs) and so far I am not impressed with what I saw (again its my opinion) .

{Ed002's Note - Your posts constantly trash players and are invariably ill informed.}

11 Jul 2017 16:25:35
People really need to learn the difference between opinion and fact.

11 Jul 2017 16:33:43
Simply pointing out whether I think a player is good or not good enough for LFC does not amount to trashing the player. Like I repeatedly said, its my opinion and I will stand by it.

{Ed002's Note - Don't expect to see many get posted anymore.}

11 Jul 2017 16:47:41
I have no idea why people say "if he signs, i'll support him" and then absolutely trash the player.

There's a strong possibility he WILL sign, so why trash him before it and then support him after he signs? He's still the same player!

Truly idiotic. It's a good job there's a core bunch of great posters on this site, otherwise the knuckle-draggers would drive any new visitors away.

11 Jul 2017 16:54:19
indian buzzer I called you out on it 2 years ago and you still do it!

11 Jul 2017 18:58:05
If Liverpool went out and bought in Suarez, Mbappe and Messi, Indian Buzzer could still find the negative aspects of such a transfer. they'd be "past it", "too young" and "not good enough for us". The manager would be "clueless" and the club would be "a joke".

You just can't convince some people :/.

11 Jul 2017 14:20:10
Would klopp not consider giving Gomez the left back role this year. He looked dependable before his injury hit. Also with the new main stand in place does the other stands look out of place, regarding size and modernisation. Surely sponsorship fore each stand is something we must explore. Also with the PL ruling more sponsors on shirts have we looked in to anything to increase venue.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

11 Jul 2017 14:34:15
Problem with left back last year was Milner didn't cross with his left foot slowing down attacks and strikers had to delay runs until he had cut back and then crossed it in, playing joe here will only lead to the same problems.

11 Jul 2017 14:42:58
I don't think many people remember but he was replaced by Moreno before getting injured. Now of course it was Mr Rodgers's opinion, but still Gomez is not a leftback.

11 Jul 2017 14:53:30
We need a natural leftback.

11 Jul 2017 15:04:02
Carragher wasnt a left back either but he still played there until he commanded a centre half role. I would be happy enough to give Gomez a chance at left back. He done ok the last time he played there (not a good as some would say) but with more game time he could grow into the role. I would not be upset if Gomez and Milner covered that position.

11 Jul 2017 20:24:13
To be fair carra got dogs abuse at left back, as he rarely passed forward!, probably on houlliers instructions.

11 Jul 2017 13:42:13
Ed2, I was listening to the radio yesterday and apparently a company has done a report that highlights how many premier league clubs are massively over-reliant on broadcasting money and that they could be in for a shock the next time it needs to be renegotiated as Sky and BT have both stated that they may not be able to pay what they have before.

I was wondering if you knew whether this was true and how much it would impact the clubs in the league?

Not strictly Lfc related but I'd be really appreciative of any answer.

Thanks.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It would be based on what percentage of the club's income comes from broadcasting monies compared to the two other primary sources of income, matchday and sponsorship. It is of course not quite as simple as that as some clubs also have significant debt to service and some have much higher expenses - wages, work on stadia, etc.. If it were negotiated down the only obvious impact would be that clubs would not be able to afford the very expensive players. It would simply return to where it was last year or the year before.}

11 Jul 2017 15:27:48
Thanks for the reply Ed.

We used to have another poster called Zeddicus.
I have his name on my replica shirt.

Anyway, welcome Zeddicus II.

11 Jul 2017 13:41:00
Hi Eds,

Are there rules preventing a current professional footballer also acting as an agent for other professional footballers?

No reason for the question other than I am curious!

Thanks

Z.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Yes, they would be unable to register as an Intermediary (agent/representative).}

11 Jul 2017 13:48:09
Thank you ma'am.

11 Jul 2017 13:25:07
We need to prioritise signing a centre back and a left back. We have plenty of players going forward now. Sakhos going to leave so we need a replacement for him. Surely we can't play Milner at left back again. I know he played well there but he's a midfielder not a left back at the end of the day. I've a feeling we are going to sign oxlade chamberlain which I like he's a decent squad player. Really hope we surprise everyone with two big named defenders coming in. Defence is not good enough.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

11 Jul 2017 13:56:18
I can't see us getting a CB. I hope I'm wrong of course. Robertson will be coming I reckon it's as good as done. I also believe ox will sign.

11 Jul 2017 20:59:54
Surely got to sign a centre back mate? Sakho is definitely gone. We have Matip lovren klavan and Gomez, this isn't good enough for a top team. We need a world class centre back defo. Back in for van djik or someone. I don't want Robertson, he's decent but think I'd actually rather keep Milner there than sign him haha. We should go for Bertrand or mendy.

{Ed002's Note - This has been done to death. Stop looking for feeble excuses which aren't there. It is embarrassing.}

11 Jul 2017 13:05:10
Wow. What a debut!

11 Jul 2017 13:53:55
Welcome to the Liverpool rumours page mate. got to be careful here lol.

11 Jul 2017 10:34:47
Sorry if this is a stupid question eds but what is the purpose of getting planning permission and building houses at Melwood? Is it going to be houses for players or are they just investing in them with an eye to selling them on. And How long till Kirby will be ready for the first team to move there? The designs for the new training facility looks brilliant.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - the land will become financially viable with planning permission cyklopps and the re-sale value will cover the costs of the kirkby project mate, i dont know about a time scale but i would think about a year or two..

11 Jul 2017 10:43:54
Thanks Ed025.

{Ed025's Note - anytime mate..

11 Jul 2017 13:32:19
To explain it with some real life figures, my Grandad's house sits on 4 acres of garden. The building firm offered him a sum of money for it, but told him that if he got all the planning permission it would've been worth at least double the offer.

Getting planning permission involves a lot of hardship though. For a start he has a pond home to an endangered species of newt so they would need relocating, the roads in the village would need to be widened and re-laid, the river which runs under the house would need re-routing, the 20ft bank would need to be reinforced etc.

Honestly there is so much work involved that he just took the initial offer and ran with it.

Hi Ed's

Have LFC shown any interest at all ..................

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - You are wasting everyone';s time asking about random players.}

11 Jul 2017 10:24:24
Ed

Ive seen a few people asking about if such n such a player has gone on tour with there respective clubs. Can I ask your thoughts on the importance of this? Is it nt common for each player to return to there clubs for pre season tours and them leave to go to another club if a bid and agreement reached? I only ask because Imo it makes no difference.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - If there is some transfer in the offing for a player then they could stay whilst that is addressed. Else they would typically go.}

11 Jul 2017 10:08:06
In fact, Majority in here appreciates what our honorable eds and Macca are doing. Macca come by genuine lfc info only. Ed002 with vast football knowledge and it's business although favor cfc than lfc. Ed001 our own lfc. Shout out to all the eds. There may some times be disagreement with members here but not belittling and bad mouthing, i think the severe criticism come from new duck heads just join.
Never mind, keep the good and great work eds, your efforts makes this site credible and accurate.

11 Jul 2017 11:42:37
Maybe make the thumbs down option a little bigger with a pulsing glowing finish so they're drawn to it instead of spitting bile.

11 Jul 2017 12:01:22
Or another option,

have a 3rd hand signal (W. r)

👌👌😲.

11 Jul 2017 09:17:56
Ed025 mate, I'm cut and pasting so many of your replies lately. Hope to be able to dig them out as the season goes on and have a bit of a laugh :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i dont think i have made any outlandish predictions burkey, all i have said is that we are a better side by far than liverpool and that we are going to win the league easily mate.. :)

11 Jul 2017 09:50:02
Had to laugh at that one ed25 😂😂 quality mate.

{Ed025's Note - i start every season like this irish, then when we lose a few i shout at the telly and want everyone sold and go around telling everyone how crap we are and how we will probably get relegated. im just as fickle as everyone else mate.. :)

11 Jul 2017 10:02:48
lol ed25 your class mate.

11 Jul 2017 10:54:15
025, you sound like a Liverpool fan to me!

{Ed025's Note - i have never been so insulted in my life MK.. :)

11 Jul 2017 10:54:44
I'm sure I sat behind you at goodison once ed025. I was in my sister's seat watching the derby, we won 3-1, and some old guy in front spent 90 minutes whinging and moaning and carrying on. It was brilliant!

{Ed025's Note - that could well have been me burkey..did he look like george clooney and have a load of young dolly birds swooning all over him mate?.. :)

11 Jul 2017 11:17:37
It was goodison mate, granny a gram birds are more likely.

{Ed025's Note - hey..we have tome top tottey at the school of science burkey, but now we have signed wayne im sure the blue rinse brigade will be looking to entice our new talisman mate.. :)

11 Jul 2017 11:25:06
I'm hoping you get Benteke now xD That would make you shout at the telly.

{Ed025's Note - dont even get me started on that one epic..one lazy man..

11 Jul 2017 08:50:30
What kind of striker is solanke? He looks a bit like Diego Costa but does he play like him? Looks a big lad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hes quite strong and has all the attributes to succeed ben, very green yet though for me and i dont see him in the first team any time soon mate..

11 Jul 2017 10:07:58
And were do you see him fitting in then ed please? I asked yesterday but didn't really get an answer?

{Ed025's Note - i dont immediately MR well not in the starting line up anyway, he looks a good option from the bench though initially as he is more of a natural centre forward than origi or anyone else at the club for that matter, he looks to me like an ian rush type and can score ugly goals as well (high praise indeed) but imo it will be slowly slowly catchee monkey with him for now mate..

11 Jul 2017 10:21:54
Cheers for the reply and your thoughts ed.

{Ed025's Note - no problem mate..

11 Jul 2017 10:56:17
Must have a great engine because he pushed James Milner to the very end in a fitness test the other day. Everyone else had to drop out before him. No shame in losing to Milner in a stamina test though. James is a terminator.

11 Jul 2017 11:21:00
I watched all of the u20s. He played quite deep for a centre forward. But did very well obviously as he won the tournament's golden ball.

11 Jul 2017 12:20:44
Hi MK Scouser.

Any more info on the endurance test you mentioned?

I guessed Milner would be good but am suprised that he was the best.

I'd have rhought one of the younger lads would have won it.

It just goes to show you that the way, the honest work ethic of Milner
Could be used to set an example and motivate r2he younger lads.

And well done Solanki for coming 2nd. It seems he's trying to make an impression.

11 Jul 2017 13:47:45
Hi Dermot. There was an article on the official site about it. It was a lactic acid test though and Solanke and Milner were the last men standing.

11 Jul 2017 18:39:29
I foresee Solanke's presence giving Origi some extra motivation! Healthy competition for places; can't beat it.

11 Jul 2017 02:01:13
Question for ed 001/ Fellow posters
How much would it take for LFC to accept to sell Coutinho in your opinion?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - it would take him putting in a written transfer request imo.}

11 Jul 2017 04:55:21
Thanks Ed
So how about a value as no player is indispensable and compared to some prices floating about nowadays maybe 80.000.000 is fair in my opinion.

{Ed001's Note - I really have no interest in talking about fantasy valuations. It matters nothing to me and I don't see what difference it makes to any of us. It is just random numbers that have no relevance.}

11 Jul 2017 05:02:04
When you look at the prices being thrown around this transfer window, which are maybe double what they was last season, add to that the fact that the club doesn't want to sell, the figure has to be over £100m in my opinion. Even that would be only if the player forced the move.

11 Jul 2017 05:05:47
Thanks Ed
No point in trying to get any banter going then?

{Ed001's Note - not with me on this no, it is just not of interest to me. Prices are just another random, pointless stat to me.}

11 Jul 2017 05:21:43
Thanks Ed
On another topic i went to watch LFC play here in Oz vs Sydney and the tickets were $150+ AUD and today the press are broadcasting Arsenal have landed here to play the same Sydney team and all tickets are $49.Surely LFC are becoming more of a business than most people are willing to admit and less of a football club for the fans.

{Ed001's Note - very much so, the club lost its soul a long time ago, when David Moores took over.}

11 Jul 2017 05:35:18
Thanks Ed
I was just remembering going into the ground as a kid which was 2 pound in the KOP and money never seemed to be mentioned or thought of as much as nowadays.

{Ed001's Note - I would be happy if money was no longer mentioned! Huddersfield have the right idea, keeping their prices down, rather than taking the chance to fleece extra money from the fans following promotion.}

11 Jul 2017 07:50:17
Agreed Ed. The club has turned into a business more concerned with the profit/ loss column than anything to do with being a pillar of society. I can understand why Everton, despite their limited recent success, attract a large amount of support locally - they seem to genuinely be a part of the community; we seem aloof and, to put it bluntly, have our heads up our arse. I'd hope this changes moving forward but haven't really seen signs to suggest this from FSG eh.

11 Jul 2017 08:27:18
I'm not been funny or been disrespectful but if lukaku is going for around 75 million little Phil should be going for around the 120 mark, I understand lukaku brings you goals but couthinho bring assists and goals and doesn't go missing in big games.

11 Jul 2017 14:14:49
Europe is not because it the middle is winter in oz now and Arsenal are playing two games in Sydney- that's 180 thousand tickets for sale and 1 being a week night. Liverpool only played once so could charge a higher price- there were many tickets for sale at $49 for the game too. I opted for the $150 so I wouldn't have to sit with sydney fc fans.

10 Jul 2017 23:29:39
Ed01 if you could buy one center half in world football who would it be.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - Godin.}

11 Jul 2017 06:19:17
Thanks ed. same here think he is class.

11 Jul 2017 07:50:58
I'd have Varane personally, when not injured he is immense.

11 Jul 2017 09:28:39
Bonucci by a Mile.

11 Jul 2017 10:07:44
Ilori.

11 Jul 2017 10:58:45
Benny I wish you were manager. Ilori and Arnautovic would propel us to the next level!

{Ed025's Note - "get a room".. :)

11 Jul 2017 11:48:09
No regrets Ed. Well, except using the word "propel". It is only a matter of time before Zeddicus replies with a nautical pun!
