Ed001 or readers just wanted to know your thoughts on Jones Larouci and millar from the u18s.

1.) 17 Dec 2017 15:30:23
Jones is very well thought of and is playing well above his age very good technically has that ability to ghost through players. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was promoted to U23’s after jan when some of the older players go out on loan.

Millar is one who has taken a while to settle but really enjoying this season scoring quite a few him and Mchauley are both having good seasons. Very hard working and an eye for goal.

Correct me If im wrong but I believe larouci has been having work permit issues up until recently. Again only a kid but seems to be comfortable at this level already at his age. Rapid and a good left peg

The U18’s are looking good this season and I think that brings evidence of the good work that Benitez did with out coaching from the very young age!

I am also pleasantly surprised about how committed Gerrard is and how he is genuinely working hard to be as good a coach, not resting on his laurels from his plying career.

Hopefully we will see a number of these guys in and around the first team.

Another one to look out for is Eddie Tagseth class above for his position I’m excited where he will be in 5 years time if he keeps working hard!

2.) 17 Dec 2017 16:09:43
Good post Southern Red. Curtis Jones looks a huge talent. And only 16 just hope he continues to progress.

3.) 17 Dec 2017 16:24:18

I think what really impressed me is that they are playing as a team and a lot of them are offering a lot of flexibility.

If someone is asked to play a position they do it.

The problem these days is they get to an age and a good salary and think they have made it. As Gerrard said at the start he basically inferred that he wasn’t going to allow any ego’s that could clash he wants 100% commitment to the team.

Question for indian buzzer and harry. how do you stay so positive after a 0-3 win?

1.) 30 Nov 2017 09:42:01
Harry likes to watch vids of kovacic to cheer himself up tbh.

2.) 30 Nov 2017 09:46:21
I expect Indian to reply on behalf of both of us! 😁😁.

3.) 30 Nov 2017 09:52:51

Ofcourse I do mate. In fact I watch many Croatians,
Modric, Rakitic. Comic, Koavavic, Hilallalovic and many more. I love Central midfielders. I am so obsessed with that role I asked one of the editor to write articles about them! I playe little bit of footy myself and I play in that position. The thing you don’t watch any football other than Liverpool doesn't surprise me. Unfortunately I do why I know all those names!

4.) 30 Nov 2017 10:23:09
i don't watch any other football? erm yes i do mate, and i was only bantering with you about kovacic.

But seeing as you reeling off your playing career, allow me. I mostly watch my son play, He's a left winger and had played 10 games this season has 19 goals 15 assists.

5.) 30 Nov 2017 10:50:56
How old is your son Houser?

6.) 30 Nov 2017 11:17:12
10 year old mate.

7.) 30 Nov 2017 11:32:29
19 goals and 15 assists would earn him a place in the academy.

8.) 30 Nov 2017 12:10:27
i have no idea about that harry, its only his second year playing football. but i don't want him in an accademy yet anyway, at this age they just recycle players every season, plus he had trails last year at fleetwood town only been playing for 6 months at the time but in the 15 min game he got a goal and assist but was told he was too small to be signed. yet i look at messi, modroc, evra ashley cole and wonder what they are thinking.

9.) 30 Nov 2017 12:48:13
Harry - lots, in fact most of us watch other teams. We just make decisions based on more than people's nationalities, and have better things to do with our spare time then masturbating over our opposition.

10.) 30 Nov 2017 18:11:56
Harry, I have been watching Croatians since 1995 (they gained independence as well as many other teams and players. Many other LFC fans do that as we are football fans first and foremost. I am/ used to be a fan of Milan, PSV, Bayern, BVB, OM, RM, all since the 90's, apart from LFC. IMO what no LFC fan I know does do, is fantasize over other teams' and our direct rivals' players and use such whierd fantasizing, to bash our own players. There lies the diff. and to that you my friend, are a unique breed.

Eds i have just read about a possibility of a world cup reject tournament . please tell me this is just rubbish!

{Ed002's Note - I assume this is the US Soccer/MLS idea back again. It could well be possible but clubs will be against releasing players to an unendorsed competition (and that is the real problem) which means that National sides would need to look to youngsters, old, fringe players and that will not suit them. It has been suggested several times in the past by various nations but never goes anywhere.}

1.) 15 Nov 2017 14:04:11
I think it would be a decent idea myself. Who doesn't want to watch semi finals of Lichtenstein vs San Marino and Jamaica vs Andorra?

We all want to see world class players on display. As long as Scotland and ROI aren't involved it'll still be a great spectacle 😉.

2.) 15 Nov 2017 14:28:27
I can just imagine it is 15 years time:
"hey Andy! Remember the great clash of 2022 in the reject world cup final between Estonia and New Zealand"
"ahhh yes i do Keith! That battle between Ragnar Klavan and Winston Reid was a thing of beauty"

3.) 15 Nov 2017 23:43:47
The only way it would be interesting if it was like the Europa league where a place in next World Cup was up for grabs.

4.) 16 Nov 2017 08:29:19
Still too soon mk 😢.

14 Nov 2017 17:19:51
As its ask ed001 question day i have one for you. in regards to micheal johnson of man city. I know he had a tough time with imjurys but what ever happned to him. Was there other things that stopped him reaching his potential or was it just injurys. did you rate him by the way?

{Ed001's Note - he had a few mental problems mate. The injuries didn't help. He was never able to focus on the game properly and work at it. Actually mentality problems is a better way to word it. He was a great young player, but he never had that drive or desire you need.}

16 Aug 2017 08:33:41
Edd001 your opinion on the ref last night? . i thought he was just terrible. Im talking for both sides btw!

{Ed001's Note - he was very poor, made a lot of mistakes. He could not figure out advantages, indicated he was playing the advantage at one point, then we lost the ball, while he still had his arms up indicating the advantage, yet he never pulled it back for the foul. Then he decided he wouldn't play advantage because there actually was one later. And that was just two incidents. I am not sure if he got a single call right all night.}

1.) 16 Aug 2017 11:25:28
I often find refs get undeserved stick. is it really there fault that players are diving all over the place, but last night was embarressing to say the least! So inconsistant.

2.) 16 Aug 2017 12:22:06
Ed, he was abysmal. Even the penalty, he was not going to give it as he was not even sure. It was the "goal post" assistant who told him it was. He was useless all game. In other countries, he would be investigated for match fixing as he did all he could to help Hoff win the game. Credit to our boys for having the bottle to rise above his nonsense.

3.) 16 Aug 2017 14:16:37
Have to agree that the ref didn't have his best game last night. However, disagree that he favoured Hoffenheim, that is just nonsense in my opinion, he was poor but consistently poor in general.

There is differences though in the way referees tend to allow the game to flow, I think more UK based referees tend to let the game flow more than some other European refs.

I never quite understood how the referees are not 100% professional where it is their only job and they are paid sufficiently well to make a good living from it. Some refs are paid a pittance and they fit it around their day job when the reality of it is it is the hardest job on the park and scrutinised from everyone. How many of us would make mistakes in their position? I know I would likely make plenty if I tried it. and get abused from all angles.

Its just all become real. at 31 am i passed it compared to othe players? Every team needs experiance!

{Ed001's Note - I think you are one of the younger members of my squad mate. We are going for experience and talent over youth and enthusiasm. Plus we have MKS to write the match report and lie about how brilliant you all played....}
