I heard from a good source this morning that Rafa wants to take Harry Wilson on loan next season, it would be an excellent move for him imo.

{Ed002's Note - I am far from convinced that Rafa Benitez will be at Newcastle next season, but Newcastle may well prove to be a good option for Wilson.}

1.) 05 Apr 2019 10:19:10
Thanks Ed, it’s funny as I was watching highlights of the premier league season 08/ 09 and there were Newcastle fans protesting to get Ashley out and that he was ruining the club, ten years later it’s still the same, quite shocking really.

As for Rafa he’s an outstanding manager albeit a bit negative, who I have no doubt could push them into the very competitive top 6 with funds, have a good weekend yourself and all the other Ed’s.

{Ed002's Note - And you.}

2.) 05 Apr 2019 10:23:42
Rafa is looking for move to France.

3.) 05 Apr 2019 10:24:42
How good is Harry's French?

06 Mar 2019 07:51:22
Bruno fernandes again linked with us in the gossip columns, could any of the eds shine any light on this?

Any posters or eds know what kind of player he is and is he better than what we have?

{Ed002's Note - Bruno Fernandes is of interest to Everton and Liverpool have certainly looked at him on two or more occasions. Spurs maintain an interest but only if Christian Eriksen leaves. Asking price has more than doubled from what was already a high price in recent months and that has pushed aside interest from Juventus who don't see the value, Valencia and CSKA.}

1.) 06 Mar 2019 08:07:19
Thanks ed.

2.) 06 Mar 2019 13:03:38
But they do see the value in 400k a week for treatment table legend aaron ramsey 😂😂.

3.) 07 Mar 2019 07:52:12
Love it beef!

27 Feb 2019 11:15:30
Nice to see you around ed002, bild are reporting that werner has agreedd to join bayern this summer. Do you know if this is true or not? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - All I know is that Forster has met yet again and this time Bayern Munich have put an acceptable package together - now they need to settle on a fee with his club. This has all been expected, but nothing is finalised.}

1.) 27 Feb 2019 16:34:20
Pesonally i think insigne will be the no1 target. Napoli bid for icardi. Read into that what you will.

2.) 27 Feb 2019 18:35:46
I will read past the £100m transfer fee and take it with a pinch of salt.

3.) 27 Feb 2019 18:35:30
Thanks ed, and i can't see that rio the guys nearly 30.

4.) 28 Feb 2019 11:50:02
Hello Ed002! Apart from Werner are we interested in any other forward? Are we interested in Luka Jovic or Piatek?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no interest in Jovic who would certainly not want to move to sit on the bench. Piatek moved last month and won’t be joining Liverpool. Insigne is liked by Klopp but he would be a Salah or mane replacement, is getting on a bit and has a huge asking price, so I would scratch him. Liverpool has Brewster waiting in the wings and I would think he provides a very good option - else he might want to consider his options.}

5.) 28 Feb 2019 16:44:21
thanks Ed002!

13 Jan 2018 18:19:21
Alright lads maybe related to what macca said but in hearing from my friend who's father works for the club that we are going to try and pip arsenal for Malcolm. Klopp feels him or mahrez could play salahs position while salahs slots in at cam or secondary striker when we play 442.

{Ed002's Note - There was a meeting regarding Malcom in London late morning tody. But not with Liverpool.}

1.) 13 Jan 2018 18:41:56
First time poster. Been following this sight for years. I absilu6ely love it. In response to what lerchy mentioned. I understand from someone who knows a bit that Arsenal are getting Malcolm. Utd in for Sanchez and greizan will be going Barcelona in the summer. Nothing on Liverpool though. Keep up the relentless work eds.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks Dudley.}

2.) 13 Jan 2018 18:46:35
So Klopp has explained his tactical thinking for general circulation around all staff at LFC, yet even professional journalists (and Macca) are keeping quiet on the identity of our targets.

Unlikely I’m sure you would agree.

3.) 13 Jan 2018 21:47:22
Shame its not us, he is an excellent prospect and will light up the prem, he is still very young too and can only get better.

28 Dec 2017 14:21:42
ed 002, is there any truth to a report that we are scouting monaco's fabinho with a view to a summer move. him and keita as our holding cms would be beautiful. de vrij and van dijk behind. pipe dream or reality?

{Ed002's Note - No, I am not aware of Liverpool scouting Fabinho. There is declared interest from a couple of sides and Manchester City May also look to him. But nothing from Liverpool.}

1.) 28 Dec 2017 14:36:42
thanks happy new year to you and the other eds.

{Ed002's Note - And you.}

2.) 28 Dec 2017 15:37:09
Hi Ed’s, in reply do you think there is any interest in De Vrij since VVD? Cheers, have a Happy New Year!

{Ed002's Note - It won't be clear until January 1.}

3.) 28 Dec 2017 17:29:27
Cheers Ed002. Have a happy new year!

{Ed002's Note - And you. thanks.}

Hey lads have you seen the new home kit for next season? 😍 the goalkeeper kit looks beautiful too. As much as I don't like the quality new balance don't half make beautiful kits. Weren't we meant to be getting a new kit manufacturer?

{Ed001's Note - lovely mate but the deal was always to include next season.}

1.) 18 Apr 2019 13:08:07
Love the gk Jersey but I don't like the outfield one's, looks too 'retro' for me. Maybe I'm being a miserable so and so but it really isn't doing it for me.

2.) 18 Apr 2019 13:12:04
Ahh fair enough Ed cheers, hope you have a great Easter weekend.

{Ed001's Note - I never knew it was Easter. That explains the eggs in the shops. I just never thought when I saw them, other than to be disappointed not to see any Buttons eggs, which are clearly the best eggs ever.}

3.) 18 Apr 2019 13:23:04
In my opinion the New Balance kits have been fantastic. Some people may not care what the boys look like on the pitch but for me kits are very important in defining the clubs identity and seperating them from the rest, something the New Balance kits definitely give us. You can tell they do actually try to come up with something different from the rest. If we were to go to Nike for money we would look like every other team out on the pitch and for me that isn’t good enough because liverpool are special!

Kits are an important part of the clubs history. As the years roll by the allow us to look back, point at moments in time and remember fondly the memories associated with a particular season. Would anybody deny that reminiscing about Beardlsey, Barnes and Aldridge would be slightly dented if their Candy kits were swapped out for that yellow and red monstrosity from 2014/ 15? They just don’t make them like they used to and its sad. Not to mention that seemingly every time our kit designers have a stinker our season seems to suffer, whereas a nice looking kit always seems to be associated with positive memories (contrast 2014/ 15 and 2017/ 18 and you’ll see what i’m talking about) .

Obviously it is all about the health and growth of the club going forward and that none of this really matters in contributing towards success on the pitch. But in this ever more corporate and sanitised world of football we have to cling onto what little culture and individuality we have left, and i honestly feel the special treatment we get from New Balance in their kit design goes a long way to preserving our identity. If we were to go towards Nike then it would feel more like us shifting towards a faceless corporate entity like City. If we do decide to leave New Balance, i hope we choose Adidas as our partner, a brand with legitimate history behind Liverpool football club, the city and if we are honest, the North of England as a whole.

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't mind if the deal with Nike was for the Jordan brand, rather than Nike itself. The stuff they did for PSG was beautiful kit, only ruined by the PSG badge on it.}

4.) 18 Apr 2019 13:58:21
What ruined the PSG kit was the image of the overrated Brazilian p**** Neymar wearing it.

{Ed001's Note - fair point.}

5.) 18 Apr 2019 13:59:16
you can go to an interview wearing that GK suit! It's that good.

6.) 18 Apr 2019 14:15:27
The kit was ruined more when the overrated guy fell to the ground. jesus does he even know how much a Jordan costs?

7.) 18 Apr 2019 15:03:20
Shame, i like the current kit. I like the collar, its cool.

8.) 18 Apr 2019 15:16:20
Ed, even more gutting that the buttons are no longer inside the egg but just in standard packets in the box. The magic of smashing into the egg has been lost!

{Ed001's Note - no way! Life is not fair.}

9.) 18 Apr 2019 15:18:32
You seen the paisley signature in the collar? 🙏.

10.) 18 Apr 2019 17:42:43
If the leaked NB kit I saw online is what it looks like it is then, I am getting one esp. if we win the PL. It is super awesome.

11.) 18 Apr 2019 19:16:11
Ed1 - given how early shops start promoting holidays you'd be forgiven for thinking Easter is months away! Shops will have Christmas decorations up next week!

{Ed001's Note - not here they don't mate. Well they might do actually I just don't notice.}

17 Apr 2019 11:05:47
Hello Ed 02, after donny van de beeks excellent performance last night along with the rest of Ajax I just wanted to ask if Liverpool have any interest in him? We seem to be linked with a few ams lately, Brandt, fernandes. Could we add him to the maybe list? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Just a random player. No Liverpool has no interest but other do.}

1.) 17 Apr 2019 11:23:53
Ajax were fantastic.

2.) 17 Apr 2019 11:50:24
Great to see Ajax back and such a young team tearing it up in the CL. Their enthusiasm reminds me of our own run last year, Let’s hope they fall at the final hurdle against a still young, exciting, but one year more mature side - Liverpool!

3.) 17 Apr 2019 12:23:50
Ok thanks ed.

06 Apr 2019 11:02:44
Where's the Hendo bashers now? He completely changed the game in our favour, dominated the midfield and was excellent in possession.

1.) 06 Apr 2019 11:23:12
With Fabinho in the holding position Hendo has an opportunity to play more forward for Liverpool. He looked very alert for England. He has come into form just at the right time.

2.) 06 Apr 2019 11:38:24
He hasn't played that much either. More so recently. Klopp has timed it perfectly, having henderson fully fit and fully charged to take liverpool to the title.

3.) 06 Apr 2019 12:52:55
Hendo was immense. I'm far from his biggest fan, but that performance was dare I say it, well he reminded of Stevie G.

4.) 06 Apr 2019 13:03:29
OP, don't worry the Hendo bashers will b back. They were prolly hoping for him to fail so they can come here and gloat. This is the type of nonsense we have to deal with from so called LFC supporters.

5.) 06 Apr 2019 14:05:16
Hendo was great! Notice how he kissed Bobby on the cheek after his celebration. I don't say that to be silly. loved it, shows the passion and unity this team has.

6.) 06 Apr 2019 16:35:52
I still believe we would have beaten Chelsea and been champions but for Hendo’s suspension. I truly hope next Sunday is the day he leads this team to victory v Chelsea and banishes the painful memory of that defeat.
He showed his passion and determination to be captain of the champions, he derserves that honour for me as he’s 100% no matter how much he is criticised or left out he just gives his all for our club. Fingers crossed against all the odds he can do it this year.

7.) 06 Apr 2019 17:18:24
Why is everyone getting carried away with Henderson’s performance over the last 20 minutes? Yes he played very well but that’s the standard he should be at every game he plays. Unfortunately he just hasn’t been good enough this season and should be replaced in the Summer by someone like Declan Rice. One goal so far this season shows he is just not good enough to play for a team that wants to win trophies every season. He has suffered a lot of injuries and I feel sorry for the guy but when Liverpool in many occasions needed a big performance from him he just hasn’t performed!

{Ed002's Note - Hcertainly won't be replaced by Declan Rice.}

8.) 06 Apr 2019 18:49:44
Pino35, you are entitled to your opinion but I completely and utterly disagree. I think you are betraying your lack of understanding about the way Klopp usually asks Hendo to play as a holding midfielder/ defensive shield for the good of the team. This limits him somewhat but he is disciplined and professional enough to do as the manager asks. His 35/ 40 minute cameo against Southampton showed just what he can still offer further forward when the circumstances allow. In my opinion Hendo is worth his place in the starting eleven in every game (fitness permitting) for his leadership qualities alone. Replace him with Declan Rice? What as, dressing room DJ?

9.) 07 Apr 2019 04:29:17
whether we win or lose this season, Henderson's one goal isn't going to be the factor . . . altho I hope we win so i can come back and say how crucial his one goal was and how we wouldn't have one the league without our captains one goal.

03 Apr 2019 15:12:12
Hello Ed 02 how do you do?

Could you please confirm whether Liverpool have any sustained interest in the two Norwich youngsters Godfrey and Aaron's?

Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

1.) 03 Apr 2019 18:15:38
Nice one, seen a few media reports linking us with Godfrey although Aaron’s is just one I like personally, I imagine Klopp has enough on his plate right now and we shall see at the end of the season

Saying that i only expect 3/ 4 players max and the outlay to be minus 100 million, Klopp himself said it’s about developing what we have which I completely agree with

Lallana and Milner are excellent squad players with brilliant mentalities which could run off on our younger players so I’d like them both to stay next season.

2.) 03 Apr 2019 19:08:24
“No” you can’t confirm or “no” we don’t have any sustained interest?

Thanks Ed002 😘.

{Ed002's Note - Fine, feel free to waste more of my time with this BS. You will find the questions of others deleted with this crap that you are pissing us off with.}

3.) 03 Apr 2019 20:19:13
I think Ron was adding a touch of humour, Ed! And he did blow you a kiss!

{Ed002's Note - It will cost him a lot more than he has if he wants to blow me.}

4.) 03 Apr 2019 20:36:27
Ha ha ha. That's better Ed. I love it when you're like that! 😋.

5.) 03 Apr 2019 21:07:19
😂 that’s why you’re my favourite Ed. American you maybe but I’m pretty sure you have an Irish fuse.

{Ed002's Note - I have never heard it called "fuse" before.}

6.) 03 Apr 2019 22:53:53
No offence intended ed002 and I try not to waste your time as a rule.

Please accept my apologies 😔.

{Ed002's Note - You don't need to say that Ron.}

11 Mar 2019 14:14:58
I swear most of our fans are bipolar, last week all I read was lallana offers nothing and should never play again.

1.) 11 Mar 2019 15:20:29
I think it's fair to say he is a pretty average impact sub. But as an option from the start, he's always been a player who grows into games.

He is still a bit slow in terms of decision making on the ball (and no doubt always will be because he loves being on the ball) but if he can maintain that intensity of pressing every week, he has every right to start ahead of Keita and Shaqiri. Credit where it is due, his aggression was key to the win yesterday. Man of the match by far.

2.) 11 Mar 2019 15:32:29
Hyperbole is the name of the game haha. Lallana has been poor this season but had a really good game yesterday. Would love if he kept it up (though I'll probably be told he's been fantastic all season and that I'm blind) .

3.) 11 Mar 2019 16:00:45
EamonsF, You are right that one swallow does not make a summer and some people will inevitably get carried away with Lallana’s very good performance against Burnley yesterday. But Lallana has had 4 starts and 8 substitute appearances this season, a total of 393 minutes playing time spread over more than 7 months. Isn’t it a bit harsh to say he has been poor this season? Wouldn’t it be more accurate to say we haven’t seen much of him this season?

4.) 11 Mar 2019 17:54:24
For the upteenth time, two things can be correct at the same time. It is a fact that Lallana has been poor ALL season whenever he has played. It is also a fact that he played very well yesterday vs Burnley and his impact was indeed felt throughout the team. Where's the beef, exactly?

5.) 11 Mar 2019 18:00:21
Personally I thought he had a great game. Central midfield was were he played very well when Klopp first took over era I think.

His energy, tracking and passing are good in that role but I don't like him further forward as he twists and turns and slows the attack down to much imo, but centrally he can be excellent and showed it yesterday.

6.) 11 Mar 2019 21:41:34
He did play great on Sunday for me. I was worri3d when I seen the team but he was our b3st player yesterday so fair play to the guy.

He still may leave in the summmer, but if he keeps playing that well when he plays we won’t have a problem selling him.

Heurherlo Gomes would be my pick.

I’d only take Havertz of Brandt. The rest are very over rated they have struggled all season and taken beatings from the likes of schalke and Leipzig. 9/ 18 in a poor league tells you something.

Could you tease us on possible forward additions if studge and Origi both leave please Ed? Or do you expect Origi to stay? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I suspect Origi will stay and Brewster will, I think, be integrated in to the squad.}

Agree with you there eamon and sorry Naby but I completely disagree. We have enough cover in midfield and attack and any of those players you mentioned would need some sort of playing time.

Ww so you’d start taa at the nou camp? Trent was ripped apart and gomez definitely needs to play rb at the nou camp, there’s a reason klopp brings Gomez in.

Click To View This Thread

22 Apr 2019 21:43:58
I think Trent needs to be replaced my Gomez for Bayern and possibly lovren for matip. Trent was ripped apart the first half and I’d it want for the assist and one decent game he’d get a three. He’s not good enough defensively to play against Barcelona and I think Klopp knows this.

Click To View This Thread

22 Apr 2019 16:56:51
If matip doesn’t have scope for improvement lovren certainly doesn’t either Ed.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m not sure about that mate. Lovren has the capacity to be very good on a more consistent basis than Matip. Also lovren suffers from emotional issues which he sees a psychologist for. He’s a sensitive guy and when everything’s right in his personal life it has a positive influence in his professional one. During the World Cup he had daily psychologist sessions with the creation team Dr and he was excellent.
