Question for ed 002 if about. Is there any interest in clyne? As I'm. lead to believe klopp favours mulberry right side.

lerchy

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any efforts being made to sell Clyne.}

1.) 09 Jun 2017 16:52:52
Have a feeling Klopp has turned his attention towards getting in a CB (whether its VVD or someone else) while giving Clyne another season and TAA to step up before reviewing the RB situation next year. Totally up for TAA being first choice RB for next season.

2.) 09 Jun 2017 17:50:41
Rotation at RB between Clyne and TAA will get the best out of them both next season.

Plenty more positions need strengthening before RB for me.

3.) 09 Jun 2017 19:15:18
Oh yay, another season of Clyne having no positive outcome on the pitch.

That is one way of improving our squad :-O.

4.) 09 Jun 2017 19:53:34
Milly right side sorry.

5.) 09 Jun 2017 19:12:23
A question to the Eds, are you aware of any changes to the Sharkpod list of targets with what has happened over the last week. If not can everyone stop throwing random names at the Eds before they get really fed-up.
Thank you and goodnight Eds.

{Ed002's Note - A good question - add Benjamin Mendy (versatile but so expensive he may well have been priced out of a move) and remove Kessie, Maxime Lopez, Dembele and Azmoun.}

6.) 10 Jun 2017 01:11:47
I think Clyne is getting a raw deal on here. To say he has had zero positive impact on games is inaccurate. He's England first choice RB for a reason. If he could improve his crossing and general end product he has huge potential. Defencively he's fine. I agree that between him a taa we really have other priorities. In fact almost every other position on the park. Lb cb cm w st. Even gk.

7.) 10 Jun 2017 07:20:34
He's not first choice RB for England. Kyle Walker is miles ahead of him!
Fact is, Clyne has really poor end product, he has no idea what to do with the ball so he normally passes back or sideways. Defensively he's ok but he can have some positional issues. But yeah, other areas need attention first. I reckon Klopp will really try to step up TAA's development as Klopp loves his fullbacks to get involved in the attack.

In saying that, I think Pereira at RB and Mane in front of him would be absolutely lethal!

8.) 10 Jun 2017 08:57:35
As Greg said, he is NOT 1st choice for England. He'll be lucky to even be 2nd choice. Walker and Trippier both produce more in the final 3rd. And everyone needs to remember, it's one signing at a time. Seems like CB and winger are 1st priorities and I'd agree with that. Then fullbacks, then midfielder, and then maybe a striker or maybe not if Solanke looks good enough in pre-season I'd say. Please bear in mind, the window doesn't close until Thursday, August 31 at 23:00.

9.) 10 Jun 2017 10:53:39
Sorry but Clyne is not ok defensively. He has a constant habit of switching off and letting players in. Several goals this season came from it. Milner who isn't an outright defender looks more switched on and capable of blocking and disrupting crosses.

10.) 10 Jun 2017 15:20:37
Ok. Ok. I think Clyne will come good. He does the basics well, better end product and he'll be one of best in league. Good pro and I'll be surprised if we bring in a RB. A lot of people expect us to play 343 next year so will he even get a game?

11.) 10 Jun 2017 15:59:19
How is CB and Winger a priority over LB position? We don't have a LB as Milner isn't one although doing a good job and Moreno is just awful. We have four cbs plus a couple who could cover and in a front three we have players either side of the striker, so how a LB is the first position to be signed and top level at that.

It's like spending time looking for 3rd choice older keeper now Manniger has gone. why?

Just get Mendy, be done for a change.

12.) 11 Jun 2017 00:00:11
Clyne is never a lfc player he's Shite.

03 Jun 2017 12:21:57
I'm hearing salah is taking the number 11 with firmino moving to 9.

lerchy

1.) 03 Jun 2017 12:39:48
I think he get 22 look at his Twitter.

2.) 03 Jun 2017 13:07:49
Someone needs to take that number 7 shirt off James Milner.

3.) 03 Jun 2017 13:28:07
I thought firmino was going to be number 2.

4.) 03 Jun 2017 14:08:26
How another we actually sign him beige figuring out what number he is going to wear.

5.) 03 Jun 2017 14:09:01
How about we actually sign him before figuring out what number he is going to wear.

6.) 03 Jun 2017 14:42:14
Good aul beige 😂.

03 Mar 2017 21:15:44
Question for ed02 if you're about do Liverpool have any interest in Leon goretzka I keep hearing he's a summer target along with Andrew Robertson/ Tierney, holjberg, Brandt and Malcolm.

lerchy

{Ed002's Note - Not as far as I am aware.}

1.) 04 Mar 2017 10:59:16
Holjberg? Can't even get the Saints team.

2.) 04 Mar 2017 14:28:37
Thanks Ed he would be the perfect upgrade on can imo.

26 Feb 2017 20:19:09
Hey ed 002 i noticed you're active today and with it being my birthday this week I was wandering if you could give me a little treat and tell me if interest in two Spanish youngsters, Jorge mere and Alex Grimaldo.

lerchy

{Ed002's Note - Nothing involving Liverpool Lerchy, but Sporting Gijon will be open to selling centre back Jorge Mere in the summer for the right price and a return on loan. This might suit Barcelona who have an interest. Benfica has priced Alex Grimaldo out of a move to Manchester City but are aware that interest from both them and Barcelona remains.}

1.) 26 Feb 2017 20:46:55
Thanks mate.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome. Enjoy your birthday.}

01 Dec 2015 22:56:27
Hi eds, any truth in the rumour that real Madrid will look to buy moreno for back up to Marcelo? And if so who would we look at as a replacement?

lerchy

{Ed002's Note - There has been no secret to Moreno's desire to move to Real Madrid - and that was enough to put off other clubs being interested in him when he was at Sevilla. Right now I am not aware of Real Madrid showing any interest in him but I am aware that Liverpool have indeed looked at a couple of left backs recently.}

1.) 02 Dec 2015 19:49:59
He looks good going forward but can't defend
Has been at fault for far too many goals.

Anyone else think Flanagan was motm last night? Created a lot down the left and was solid defensively.

lerchy

1.) 15 Jul 2017 15:34:45
No. It's early in preseason tho.

05 Jul 2017 14:59:48
Hi Ed's why was my mammana post removed? Thanks.

lerchy

{Ed002's Note - It attracted abuse.}

1.) 05 Jul 2017 15:38:06
Ahh the usual knuckle draggers yhen. I hope that ain't been giving you a hard time because there is a lot of decent fans who appreciate the work you all do so big thanks and hope you're enjoying the sunshine.

{Ed002's Note - Most have gone now thanks.}

2.) 05 Jul 2017 16:52:47
Sorry, Ed. We support you.

{Ed002's Note - I know, you are very sweet.}

3.) 05 Jul 2017 17:54:15
I'll join the train why not.
Ed02, if it weren't for you and your amazing knowledge, I'd have far less knowledge. And knowledge is power.
I do however plan to take over the world with said power.
I'll honour you in my speech.

{Ed002's Note - You need to harness and control magnetism as I do Dave - that is where the real power comes from.}

01 Jul 2017 11:09:17
I find it amazing we was going to pay however much for van dijk when the likes of rudiger and Manila's are available for half the price.

lerchy

1.) 01 Jul 2017 11:41:20
But would they want to join us though? VVD did. Ludicrous price though I agree.

2.) 01 Jul 2017 11:42:49
Rüdiger is really injury prone. He was injured a total of 226 days in the last 2 years and he picked these up in a league that is far less physical then the PL.

{Ed002's Note - Cruciate Ligament injuries happen in many leagues.}

3.) 01 Jul 2017 11:45:46
Rudiger isn't actually very good, I'm presuming you've actually seen him?

4.) 01 Jul 2017 11:51:09
Mate, are they "available to Liverpool" for half the price?
Selling clubs adjust their asking price based on the customers. This fundamental concept is ignored by too many.
A premier league club with champions league participation is one of the richest customers and the asking price is adjusted accordingly.
Last time we were in the champions league, we tried to upgrade our squad by buying lots of decent players - Lallana, lambert, Lovren etc. We sold a world class player and bought a load of decent players who were not good enough for the champions league.
This time we are targeting quality over quantity. It costs more but ultimately will prove good value.

5.) 01 Jul 2017 12:58:37
He's playing on the Confederate cup over tah who most on here want.

6.) 01 Jul 2017 14:28:14
He went down with a hand to the chest by Hernandez faking injury when his team were already 3 up. Not what I want in a cb. Plus his hair is just watched too normal. No thanks.

7.) 01 Jul 2017 19:50:18
So a CB that is time-wasting is now a way to judge the talent of a player, Davey? Good grief! People saying Ruddiger had an injury. Sorry, VVD did not play the last 5 months of a season but he is not injury prone? Come on, these arguments don't make sense. The idea that a more polished and better CB, a current German international (VVD wouldn't make Germany's bench at CB) should cost 2 times less than an overrated and VVD, is flat out madness and is just illogical. If I was to pick btw the two, I know who I am not picking and that is VVD. People say "there are no better CB's out there than VVD so just pay the money". Well, Chelsea just lay waste to that argument by signing Ruddiger.

8.) 01 Jul 2017 20:30:42
Well said Brussels I'm afraid it's hard to say anything on his page anymore without being slated unless you encourage us to spend vast sums on average players. Keita yes vvd no thanks. I wouldn't give them 30 mil for him.

07 Mar 2017 19:40:53
Who I think should be replaced and by whom. Feel free to disagree

Mignolet-ward
Clyne-perreira
Lovren-nastasic
Moreno-tierney or Robertson
Stewart and lucas- goretzka
Sturridge-malcolm

Obviously sell the fringe players like markovic etc but possibly give Flanagan a chance as a back up. Give him a shot at centre back. Cards wasn't a fan favourite until 2005 when he was what 26? He was regularly rotated with hyypia and henchoz. Again just my opinion not what I think klopp will do.

lerchy

1.) 07 Mar 2017 19:47:36
Flanno at CB? He's barely 5 ft 9.

2.) 07 Mar 2017 19:56:44
Like Sturridge, I reckon Flanno will never be able to recover his form when it comes to his injuries. Perfect example is a player like Rob Jones. In my opinion one of the best attacking fullbacks England could have ever had. Injuries got the better of his career, unfortunately.

There is one moment I will never forget about Flanno, the tackle he made on Soldado years ago. The Spanish striker was introduced to the Premier League in fine fashion.

What a pity things have turned out the way they have for Flanno. Had really high hopes for him.

3.) 07 Mar 2017 19:59:54
Carragher not cards, damn spell check again.

4.) 07 Mar 2017 20:05:04
Not that it matters a great deal, but Flanagan is actually 5ft11 which is the same height I believe as Kolo Toure, taller than Puyol/ Mascherano etc.

Not saying I think he will be good at centre back (I actually think he is better in defensive midfield) but this ridiculous emphasis on height with English people is laughable. Saw some one moaning about Pickford being only 6ft the other day (he is actually 6ft1 but there you go) . To put that into context, he is the same height as Shay Given and 1 inch shorter than Pepe Reina!

Really does baffle me. Just goes to show why Shearer and Sherringham for in the national ahead of Fowler at a time when he was better than both of them combined.

5.) 07 Mar 2017 20:12:00
And Soldado never played a good game in England ever since. Even Sterling is still having fits about how he got dumped by Flanno and stayed well away from him in that City game last season. Loved Flanno since his debut and that great goal vs Spurs will live long in my memory.

6.) 07 Mar 2017 20:12:45
I cannot see us moving Clyne out in the summer all though I agree he offers practically next to nothing. Piererra could play on both flanks I guess which will be a bonus. But he will primararly occupy the left back spot.

7.) 07 Mar 2017 22:19:47
Tbh I think if flanno did come back to the squad he finds himself behind Trent Alexander Arnold whom i think and expect to be our next right back after Clyne.

8.) 08 Mar 2017 09:09:00
Taa is what we need, fast, good at the back and going forward, great delivery.

9.) 08 Mar 2017 08:58:59
Flanagan is a lovely lad. A local guy and would probably play for the club on free. If you take out these things he is a very average player.

10.) 08 Mar 2017 10:17:37
Pickford is 1.85m which is under 6' 1" MK, which is too short as far as I'm concerned. Notwithstanding that, he's nowhere near a top class keeper and never will be, he looks all at sea on crosses and has no presence in the goal, you judge a kneeper on the types of goals he concedes and not a highlight reel of dives from match of the day or YouTube. Have a look at the three goals he conceded against Everton, that's the standard for him and demonstrates that he's not an upgrade on anyone currently on our books.

11.) 08 Mar 2017 10:19:27
They all need games to build up stamina.
I think they call it being match fit.

If your not up to scratch then another injury is guaranteed.

Flanno hasn't got it in his locker to hold back, he will give it all but that always runs the risk of injury.

The difference between the stamina and toughness required from u23 to 1st team is huge.

When Flanno gets his chance he will take it and try to impress because he is quality.

12.) 08 Mar 2017 11:49:45
Migs - Butland.
Lucas - Leandro Paredes
Lovren and Sakho - a decent defender.

11 Feb 2017 20:29:11
The defense looked a lot better today without lovren getting caught out of posistion, hopefully klopp realises as many fans on here have he isn't good enough and needs replacing in the summer. On a positive note we were brilliant today we just need a bit of fine tuning as klopp says the vision is long term. Keep the faith the team needs its twelfth man.

lerchy

1.) 11 Feb 2017 21:35:00
Lovren never played in the last game either and we got beat by Hull.

2.) 11 Feb 2017 23:55:28
Peoplw have good and bad games. Lucas wasnt a world beater last week but was brilliant today.

Gotta go off a whole player not just bad moment.

Lovrens been solid for us gor the most part. Infact the first couple of months with him and matip where terrific. Then they got split uo throuvh injury and afcon problems. Let rhem get a good run together after he's back and rhey qill be fine again 😊.

3.) 12 Feb 2017 12:12:05
Important save today by Migs.
Stopped any momentum building for Spurstow.
He still needs work on clearing the ball with his feet. He seems always to finds an opponent.

But overall well played.

The sun must be getting to you ed! Gylfi is just like Dempsey mate and cans performances in the latter half of the season would walk into most premier league teams first eleven. I'm glad you're doing well in the market but there's levels and the lads you lot are after just aren't at that level.
