And so the saga continues.

Lyon release a statement this morning on there twitter that says the transfer of fekir to liverpool is false!

Here we go again!

jordz

1.) 08 Jun 2018 09:39:48
Wtf? Any eds no what is happening and were we are at with the situation please?

2.) 08 Jun 2018 09:41:10
We will eventually sign him!

3.) 08 Jun 2018 09:42:52
Maybe it's because they want to control the information that's being released.

4.) 08 Jun 2018 09:48:26
I don't think so Barry. I think we haven't signed him yet or reached an agreement with Lyon.
I didn't believe it when all the media outlets were reporting it. I only believe what the club and the eds tell us.

5.) 08 Jun 2018 09:50:17
It's transfer season and the media love a bit of a saga, when something is due to be said the club or eds will let us know. Until then take the 'twitter storm' with a pinch of salt, it is now a bunch of people who don't know what's going on making a claim, hoping it's right so they can then say there ITK, in reality they took a lucky guess.

The media hate transfers like Fabinho as there is no speculation and nothing to make their story different to any one elses.

6.) 08 Jun 2018 09:50:59
Not sure Barry. They’ll look idiots if it completes today, as thought last night. I think some journo kick started all this hype last night for attention.

7.) 08 Jun 2018 10:11:19
Something similar happened with Lacazette to Arsenal last season and it was announced hours later.

8.) 08 Jun 2018 10:17:18
Yeah your right lad's, this is why I would never be good enough to be a Ed.

9.) 08 Jun 2018 10:18:52
I'm pretty sure what they said translates to "some information regarding the transfer is false", which could be any number of things, although I could be wrong.

07 Jun 2018 21:34:03
Paul Joyce tweeted too. If James and Paul are saying its just formalties now.

Paul says £48.4mil with £4.4 bonuses.

Great signing. Hopefully we can get a keeper in now.

Fakir is coming.

2.) 07 Jun 2018 22:12:46
So am i.

3.) 07 Jun 2018 22:16:28
Brilliant news about Fekir.
Can't wait to see Keita Fekir and Fabinho in red shirts
YNWA.

4.) 07 Jun 2018 22:48:33
Made me laught that tedlfc.

30 May 2018 19:54:17
Reports from Le Parisien in France that we have made a €60 million offer for Fekir but it may not be enough.

jordz

1.) 30 May 2018 20:33:34
According to some reports Fekir and his representives want it done before the world cup lyon want it after just in case his stock rises.

If LFC want it done offer them the 70m€ they want and be done with it.

Then move onto a keeper (Not Butland) 🤞.

2.) 30 May 2018 20:39:51
According to some reports Fekir and his representives want it done before the world cup but lyon want it after hoping his stock will rise. We have offered 52.6million pounds €60million euros but lyon is not entertaining it and will only listen to €70m. Time will tell ill check again in an hour 😂

Get fekir sign a keeper not butland 🤞 and possibly a lb and we are sorted.

3.) 30 May 2018 20:41:53
I think Fekir should be telling Lyon he wants the move so it can be sorted out.

4.) 30 May 2018 21:28:35
Cos we all loved Suarez, couts, Torres, mascherano etc for doing just that!
Strange how when we want a player we are more than happy for them to force their way out of a club.

5.) 30 May 2018 21:43:02
Fekir has told Lyon already about moving the fact it is my team is just circumstantial. The club were aware he was considering offers so it’s no surprise. Best for all parties to strike the deal and move forward. I was actually saying same with Coutinho.

6.) 30 May 2018 22:24:14
Don’t agree on a left back, Gunga, not high on priorities given limited resources.

We have Moreno, for now, as well as Gallagher and Lewis in the u23s. Not forgetting Milner.

I’d much rather get the likes of Fekir and Alisson and live with the LB cover we have for Robbo, than get people like Zaha and Butland as well as a few others.

We’re not City or Utd, we can’t fix every position, and backups, in one window.

Just trying to have enough warm bodies for every position is what killed Rodgers, and Klopp doesn’t appear to share that philosophy, thank god!

7.) 30 May 2018 22:33:02
Difference being that Fekir has let it be known for a while he willleave, has told the club well in advance and will almost certainly leave with more dignity than any of the others, he won’t have to go on strike or fake injuries to move.

8.) 31 May 2018 09:07:20
Swishcleaner - why is that strange? We love our team winning. We hate when other teams beat us. We love when players want to join us. We hate when they want to leave us (if they are any good anyway) . It's not even hypocrisy, it's just the fun of sport - it's socially acceptable to be entirely selfish to your tribe.

9.) 31 May 2018 09:55:08
Seen that myself but it’s twitter so I wouldn’t believe a word until you see it on the Liverpool FC official page, probably announce it in a hour like last night ha!

31 Jan 2018 22:44:17
Marokivic has left to anderlecht on loan.

jordz

1.) 01 Feb 2018 07:39:43
Here's hoping a solid half season sees teams trying to purchase.

2.) 01 Feb 2018 12:41:41
I think it would be better all round if we let him go on a free transfer. He has been messed about by us enough, let him have a career elsewhere and good luck to the lad.

3.) 01 Feb 2018 13:33:38
He will be able to leave for free end of season won’t he?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

31 Jan 2018 16:58:44
WonderDogSparky tweeting again here is his tweet:

"Sparky is suprised to see Nobby's car in the drive. "

Doesn't seem very cryptic so I would say he's winding us up. Wait he always does that haha.

jordz

1.) 31 Jan 2018 17:06:31
Came back to say his goodbyes!

2.) 31 Jan 2018 17:32:07
Keita rumours again he’s signed 5 times over this window 😂.

3.) 31 Jan 2018 18:20:45
I guess he’s still house hunting 😏.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 19:29:01
Keita and Demirbay have the same agent, so in theory could travel in the same car 😉.

Simon Hughes of the independent has made some pretty bold claims this morning.

He's wrote saying Liverpool made some significant progress in there summer transfer plans on wednesday and at least one new arrival in next 24 hours. He mentions Fekir and Shaqiri.

Fabinho done deal announced by club.

Great signing in my opinion, Keita and Fabinho good additions for midfield.

Doubt Fekir will happen but still think that's a considerable upgrade. Don't want to get my hopes up and think we could get Fékir as well.

Think today we saw a glimpse why the club potentially see TAA as a midfielder eventually.

What a cross to Salah, get the feeling the more opportunities he'd have to pick out a player the better he would become.

Big few seasons for the lad. Great to watch the progression of him.

Hope the lads use the week to prepare tactically for the west brom game and get some rest in ready for a big few games next weekend/ week.

jordz

1.) 14 Apr 2018 20:50:28
Agreed but the way we use our fullbacks means he is probably in the best position at RB to put in those balls.

17 Mar 2018 15:25:28
Read a piece in the Telegraph about Rhian Brewster. Apparently he is being looked after by the first team medical staff to help him recover from his ankle injury and has been told when he is back he will be promoted to the first team.

If true could mean end of Ings next year. Think he needs to get some regular game time anyways. Would be great if we could give the likes of brewster and woodburn some game time with players like firmino, salah and mane on the pitch next year.

jordz

1.) 17 Mar 2018 16:01:33
I've got high hopes for the lad let's hope he gets over the injury and it's not affected his ability both physically and mentally.

2.) 17 Mar 2018 16:05:37
We can only hope Walter because it seems like the lad can have a great future should he be given his chance. At his age he has plenty of time to learn and who better to learn from then Firmino, Salah and Mane.

True jordz, I'd love to see more of Ings but I just can't see it happening, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him move on in the summer.

3.) 17 Mar 2018 16:39:02
Salah totally agree about ings I feel sorry for him seems to be a case of what could have been for him. He never let us down when he got a chance but injuries have robbed him of a career with us.

4.) 17 Mar 2018 16:55:40
Yeah it's such a shame Walter, I think he could've done some good things for us if it wasn't for his bad luck since joining us. I think at this moment in time the best thing for his career would be to move on and get some good minutes elsewhere, maybe even a loan? but I can't see that happening. I think maybe he should look for somewhere else on a permanent deal.

5.) 17 Mar 2018 17:36:47
If he can get a garuntee about a % of games played then that would be good. Failing that maybe a team like Newcastle or saints to get his carrer back on track.

11 Mar 2018 11:29:50
There was a few individual errors yesterday, but as a team I don't think we turned up. Press wasn't there, passing was sloppy. Looked like the occasion overawed them.

Klopp can talk about penalties and maybe the valencia handball one is a pen but end of the day we didn't create many if any clear cut chances.

We need to get that midfield sorted in the summer, milner isn't effective, Can I personally think his head is somewhere, and Ox well he's still settling at the moment we can't rely on him.

Not a great performance but seems to be the case that every 15 games or so we have a little stumble.

On to the Watford game.

jordz

1.) 11 Mar 2018 11:40:58
We bottled it. The likes of Trent, Karius, Lovren, even salah and bobby. They all crumbled under the Old Trafford pressure. They didn't even play well, we just let the game go by and gave in to them. Rolled over, I want a response, a big response. 6-0 against Watford.

2.) 11 Mar 2018 13:06:09
You don't just decide to win 6-0 in the Premier league. Don't be ridiculous. We lost away to man utd by a narrow margin. We can't win every game.

3.) 11 Mar 2018 13:20:13
Livered, maybe you can’t win every game but you can turn up and put in a proper shift, yesterday many didn’t so they deserve some of the negativity aimed at them.

4.) 11 Mar 2018 15:41:31
Personally thought the handball was probably a penalty as it would have went through to Mane without Valencia's intervention. I don't really expect marginal calls to be given away from home though and it was a marginal call - both of the penalty shouts could have been given but neither of them were stonewall so it is what it is, cannot complain too much.

5.) 11 Mar 2018 16:14:31
Livered,

I thought we only had to deal with DDG and everything is cool! And UTD is nothing but stoke city with money! It’s hilarious to read some post. On one hand you call them stoke and the other hand you call them a big team!

6.) 11 Mar 2018 16:25:45
Didn't turn up? So Bobby and mane didn't attempt the most audacious, back heal, one two I've seen all season. A move that utd had to foul us to stop. The 2 penalty were both penalties imo, that would have seen us win 3 2.

I agree salah and aoe. The problem for these youngster tho is some aren't so young therefore they are at the age they need to playing regularly (e. g harry wilson 21 ) .

Harry Wilson for example would love to see him put in a good pre season and get a chance next season but the it looks like brewster has been promised more game time so with him mane, firmino and salah it's hard for any of the youngsters to see staying as a good move for there career at the moment.

I remember the sending a delegation talk from certain journos when Lemar was supposedly a done deal in jan.

Hope it's true tho :) . Just two stories from either side hard to see a deal being close.

I have my concerns with Harry Wilson going to stoke on loan. Can't see them playing football that would be good for his career. He will more than likely watch the ball go over his head with long balls in the championship.

I'd be happy if we took a gamble on Donarumma. Nothing much to lose if we are not going to go for an established keeper like oblak or Alisson, Donarumma is better than Karius and younger. Worth a gamble for 30-40 mill imo.

Juicer coutinho is a great player but look at the stats both Firmino and Salah have more assists and more goals last season than coutinho playing in a more competitive league. Yet Coutinho is more creative?

Even in terms of versatility and spatial awareness, Firmino clearly tops that over Coutinho. Firmino made more tackles than some defenders last year, pretty versatile for a Striker.

They are all great players, but I think it's Firmino this year had a fantastic season and I think if we lost him it would be a bigger lost than losing coutinho, really hope he can build on it next season.

And CL final point we had two goal keeping howlers and lost one of our most important players by half time. That not even Coutinho could of changed.
