Is Harry Wilson likely to sign a new deal. with klopps admission of no more signings id love to see him given a chance. Would rather see a Woodburn Wilson or ejaria than captain can in the team any day.

{Ed002's Note - No idea.}

1.) 29 Jan 2018 15:02:40
I have to say, I do think Wilson deserves some game time, off the bench at least.
It's just hard to start him as we have 3 attackers of the highest order (maybe if Mane keeps playing as poorly as he is though, he'll get a chance) .
He has blitzed the U-23 league game after game when fit, I'd have to ask what more can he do to force a chance or two?!
Of course it's a bit of a step up, but the only way to see if he can adapt it to give him a chance.

I also think Woodburn could also be given a run or two off the bench if we're up a couple of goals with a few mins to go.

Danny Ward's situation for me is a no-brainer, Mignolet needs to be removed from the squad for now at least and Ward installed as 2nd choice until Karius shows he's either too good or too bad - no rotation until then.

Over the last couple months teams have been terrified to have ago at city but now seeing how it's done do you reckon they may take a leaf out if our book and go at them? They looked extremely vulnerable at times when defending against us. Otamendi is pants and danilo wasn't much better. if teams have a real go then maybe city will drop more points. and we will win the league. maybe.

1.) 15 Jan 2018 10:00:51
It’s definitely the way to beat them or pick up points, even the first game at the Ethiad we were all over them in the first 15-20 or whatever with Otamendi looking vulnerable against Salah and co but the rest is history. Teams need to bite the bullet and press from the front and they’ll get rewarded, difficult as it is because you need front players with top fitness levels and determination like you sore from us and Bristol recently.

{Ed001's Note - the thing is Wolves also had them on the rack in their match and only lost on pens, they pressed them but no one took any notice in the Prem.}

2.) 15 Jan 2018 10:06:48
I think it may have the opposite effect to be honest.

In the Champions league, I'm sure teams will look at this and say "that's how we beat city".

However in the Premier League, any team below 6th will look at this and think "holy hell, Liverpool are the best football team in the country, and even they only just edged past Man City at Anfield".

If we'd held it at 4-1, i think it may have dented their season a bit more. As it happens, we let them back in. If the best pressing team in Europe got knackered out by City's passing, a team like Watford or Stoke would just be dismantled embarrassingly.

However, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs should be looking at yesterdays game and taking our lead. They have no excuse to sit back. Sadly, City have already played at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford. Wembley is the only other place i can see them losing this season. Even that is a maybe, because Spurs are prone to capitulating in the second half of the season when the pressure is on.

{Ed001's Note - don't you think that the pressure has gone for Spurs now that they are off the pace? Plus Dembele is coming into form and fitness now which is huge for them. If Alderweireld is back they should be able to match them.}

3.) 15 Jan 2018 10:07:03
Yes Wolves were very unlucky also, Prem managers need to brace up and trust their players to deliver.

4.) 15 Jan 2018 10:08:53
Otamendi and Fernandinho particularly struggled with our press. Stones is also very slow to react at times and opposition should take note of this. Premier league teams have been giving City too much of respect this season, a bit like Barcelona and REal in la liga which allows them to play their natural game. Show some braveness and these so called goliaths will crumble from time to time.

5.) 15 Jan 2018 10:13:33
We were excellent and pressed as a team and city found it difficult to play through us, but it does take a lot of energy and a lot of discipline to do it consistently for 90 minutes. It is part of our normal game plan so it’s ingrained into our players. Tottenham tried to play that way against city and came unstuck spectacularly, as did we at Etihad, but that was as much to Manes red card than anything else as it effected our ability to press.
I’m sure if they applied themselves the top 4 teams can attempt a similar game plan.

6.) 15 Jan 2018 10:14:50
We beat them, Bristol and Wolves gave them a good go, going on that alone, anybody can give them a good go. I hope more teams can step up the notch a little and go for them because they really aren't all that! Sure they are very good, we all know that but playing them at their own game they seem to fail, they expect everybody to sit back so when they're attacked they don't know how to handle it. Their defence is poor, if teams actually try against them then I see Man City losing a lot of points this half of the season and going on our win, I think many teams won't be as afraid of them.

7.) 15 Jan 2018 10:41:22
The pressure to win the league is gone Ed, but I'd say the pressure to qualify for the Champions league is worse. Finishing 2nd or 3rd is gutting, but you can keep your best players.

If they finish 5th then Kane, Alli, Lloris, Alderweireld and Eriksen will all be looking at their careers and thinking, "why am I playing for half of what i could earn elsewhere to win nothing and play in the Europa league". Particularly Lloris and Alderweireld who are both getting on and at a very real risk of finishing their careers without even winning a major trophy.

This is a massive moment for Spurs as a club. If they don't get CL football, everything they've built for will start to unravel in my opinion. Kane might stick around for one more season out of loyalty, but Real Madrid will come sniffing and that's a hard team to turn to down. The pressure on them is huge. I think City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all better teams, and only look like getting stronger this January. Spurs on the other hand could realistically lose Rose and with Levy in charge, they won't spend much either! I hope they can climb above Man United though. United have fallen to pieces over the last 10 weeks. It's mad when you think they were about 12 points clear of the rest of the league and just behind City, and now they're joint 4th, 15 off City and only 3points clear of Spurs. They need to arrest their slide ASAP.

I just can't see City being truly tested again this season. They might slip up and drop a few more points, but nobody else in the league except Spurs at Wembley have the tools to beat City at their best, like we just did.

{Ed001's Note - I don't think it matters where they finish, I expect Alderweireld to look for more money, either there or elsewhere, in the summer.}

8.) 15 Jan 2018 11:40:58
Easier said than done against City - first they play through the press like few sides can, then if they do they tend to expose score. We played a fantastic game to force the errors on their side but we also were pretty clinical - all 4 goals were really well taken, and even then they nearly came back with some great goals.

I think Tottenham might give them problems if they have a full squad and Kane on fire, but frankly don’t rate Utd or even Chelsea that much this year in terms of being able to press their defence and score 2-3 which is what you probably need to do to win.

9.) 15 Jan 2018 11:42:29
Wishful thinking there MK. Alderweireld is the only major outgoing from Spurs next season. Kane will stick around for a few more years, Eriksen and Son on the verge of new deals and the top clubs will be looking for younger Gks than Loris.
If there is an exodus of talent, it will most likely be at Chelsea. Hazard is flirting with Real and Courtois is also unsettled. This could open up a flurry of outgoings for ambitious players like Kante with Roman showing no signs of investing in world class talent anymore. They are trying to sign Andy Carroll of all people!

10.) 15 Jan 2018 11:37:54
Have we shown any recent interest in Alderweireld ed? Would be a hell of a partner for VVD.

Also, I think Kane's going to be a one club man. He's got Shearer in his sights. He's got 162 goals to go but I think he'll want to do it at Tottenham.

{Ed001's Note - I wish, but no.}

24 Oct 2017 14:26:05
Ed25 apparently unsworths presser went well. amazed his wife let him attend tho.

{Ed025's Note - you must know something about rhino that i dont ben..

1.) 24 Oct 2017 16:26:41
His move to Aston villa ring any bells mate.

2.) 24 Oct 2017 17:01:35
He s missus won't let him go to away games.

{Ed025's Note - oh right..sounds like my bird..

3.) 24 Oct 2017 17:33:39
Very good.

28 Sep 2017 22:43:18
Ed25. me mate is a season ticket holder at your lot and he wants koeman gone. what about you? Ran out of patience yet? He's just absolutely slated you.

{Ed025's Note - thats a tough one ben, koeman does not know his best side and is starting games with square pegs in round holes, playing 3 No 10s is not working and never likely to as well as persisting with defenders like williams who makes klavan look like bobby moore, how long do you give a manager? i certainly dont know, but unless things improve quickly i can see him being replaced before christmas mate..

1.) 29 Sep 2017 09:55:03
That entire team has just been rebuilt and so I imagine it'll take a while for the team to get settled.

Know I shouldn't say this as a Liverpool fan but I rate Koeman and think that the Everton team is half decent. Would be nice to see a manager given some time to build the team.

{Ed025's Note - time is something not afforded to managers these days george, his team set up is all wrong and him trying to fit square pegs into round holes is making him very unpopular with the followers mate..

2.) 29 Sep 2017 10:10:14
The Ashley Williams thing baffles me.

As a Welshman I love him in the red shirt of Wales, he's excellent, and a brilliant leader and puts his body on the line for 90 minutes every game.

But whenever i see him in the Prem i think he's a totally different player, he's awful.

How can a player have such different form for both club and country?

{Ed025's Note - hes a liability dawn, i like you seen him as a solid no nonsense good centre half before he came to us, now i see him as a slow error prone overrated lump of lard who is devoid of any skill and likely to cost you a goal a game at least mate...sad but true im afraid mate..

3.) 29 Sep 2017 10:30:31
If klopp were to be sacked. would you be interested in taking Liverpool job ed025. for me u r always my first preference as manager.

{Ed025's Note - i would certainly consider it sirtoto, the drop in wages would be a bit of a blow but the adulation of the supporters that i would get should more than make up for that mate..

4.) 29 Sep 2017 10:40:12
isn't there an everton page?

{Ed025's Note - yes there is stone but its banter about football and a local rival at that so i dont see a problem myself, are you really that insular that everything has to revolve around liverpool though?. liverpool fans (and others) are welcome on our pages to discuss the game, we are all one big family for me mate..

5.) 29 Sep 2017 11:00:15
I am seriously thinking to write a letter to the club to appoint ED025 in some capacity at Liverpool FC! Legend 😎😎😎.

{Ed025's Note - migs, karius, lovren, klavan and firmino will be quaking in their boots harry, if i get the job, and hendo as well, they are all out the door to be replaced by butland, VVD, koulibaly and aubameyang plus keita who will captain the side, we will win the prem next year and the champions league the year after..and you can take that to the bank mate..

6.) 29 Sep 2017 11:45:04
Exactly why I want you in the job over anyone on the site! You don’t have those special red tinted or any colored glass which gives you an absolute freedom to pick those WHO DESERVES A SHOT and dumb ALL THOSE WHO ARE MEDICORE!
The irony is you see the gapping holes in the squad and you ard such nice guy that you put forward some fantastic replacement while liverpool fans are still living in the absolute dream!
Those 4 names will win the league by mid December!

{Ed025's Note - get me that form can be my director of football mate..

7.) 29 Sep 2017 12:01:28
Ashley Williams, certainly in the last few years, has been the anti-Fowler (or anit-Barnes if you prefer) . Great for his country, crap for his club.

8.) 29 Sep 2017 12:23:35
That would be an honor Ed025 😎😎😎😎.

{Ed025's Note - the pleasure is all mine harry, we will need some help from the other guys though, MK and bingo are good wordsmith,s so the press secretary job might interest them and ron knows his onions so im sure he could fill a void, anyone else willing to apply can contact us on this site with their CV and they will be vetted by me and you mate..

9.) 29 Sep 2017 13:08:37
That would come with a price My manager! They will demand to play Henderson every week! 😄😄😄. How about Ed01 then? He might only want Lucas back as well Alonso ( his only crush ☺️☺️☺️)

{Ed025's Note - im afraid ED001 will not be invited to apply as his glasses are tinted beyond repair harry, EDOO2 is also barred but for the opposite reasons.. :)

10.) 29 Sep 2017 13:52:19

We as a country play a lot deeper most of the time and we'll also have Davies and Chester either side of Williams to cover the pace issue.

He's excellent for wales but the defence is set up to accommodate him as he is an excellent leader. He offers the no nonsense stuff whilst Chester and Davies can pass the ball.

{Ed025's Note - i used to really rate him when he was at swansea smp but since he has been with us he has been poor, he makes at least one howler per game which is something we can ill afford mate..

11.) 29 Sep 2017 14:37:34
Plz no ed001. he will find space for Henderson in that magical midfield of Barcelona with xavi, iniesta, busquets in it.

{Ed025's Note - no hes definitely out mate..

12.) 29 Sep 2017 15:25:52
We can't defend how are you going to be able to write a letter to the club when you can barely write a legible sentence on here? 👽😎😎.

{Ed025's Note - i find his grammar fine smeg..

13.) 29 Sep 2017 15:43:29
Jesus Christ. A toffee running the club? And being advised by Harry no less!

I doubt I'll be work for the press department. More like the depressed department 🙄.

{Ed025's Note - then your out as well MK, we only want people who are fully committed to this project..

14.) 29 Sep 2017 15:49:37
with harry as director of football, you would need a sugar daddy at the top, with all those new names that pop up ;)

15.) 29 Sep 2017 17:04:01
Harry has a top notch way of scouting players, it's called FIFA 18.

16.) 29 Sep 2017 17:58:51
Smeg, he goes onto the search function, searches by name and puts in ic. That pulls up Pjanic, Kovacic, Modric, Manzukic and all his other crushes at the same time.

17.) 29 Sep 2017 20:15:59
Harry you're a fickle "person"

It was all about me last week, now I find you flirting with 25 😡

We're finished Harry 😥.

{Ed025's Note - dont get the hump ron, look he has moved on so get over it!, we still want to be your friend but thats all it will ever be mate..

18.) 29 Sep 2017 22:12:07
I ll somehow manage it Smeg! After all it’s just a language!

06 Sep 2017 11:06:14
Harsh on jose Enrique.

1.) 06 Sep 2017 17:56:38
Aye, I thought he was an okay player (if a little too prone to try and dribble his way out of trouble) when he first arrived. But he was obviously struggling with injury and fitness for more than a year before he left.

Can has improved dramatically over the past few months and I really think klopp can continue with that progress and transform him into a very very good player. It's frustrating to see a player muck around with contracts and have the nerve to sit there waiting to see what offers come his way. i no it happens but it's my club and I hate to see it. Will he leave if we win the champions league? Does my head in.
