Gentlemen,

There are a few spots left for the Site Posters charity match next month.

As I want full squads and we are getting close to the date, the match fee will be whatever you are happy to donate to SEVA foundation and Macmillan Nurses.

Details are as follows:
16th June, 3pm KO
Wroxton Sports Club
Horley Road, Wroxton, Oxon OX15 6PY
There are cheap local hotels, and as some of the lads have already mentioned, plenty of beer joints!

I am in the process of adding all current participants to a whatsapp group. So I will put my back up phone number here, god forbid I put my usual number :)
07719565417
Whatsapp / text me asap, if you can attend and play.

The game will streamed live on the football rumours facebook page.

If any one reading this wants to donate to the above charities, there is a football rumours just giving donate page.

benny baller

{Ed002's Note - Benny, let me know what is needed from me.}

1.) 22 May 2018 14:55:23
This is brilliant and a great cause, really gutted I can't make it (my brother is home from foreign lands for first time in almost 3 years) .

To put faces to names on here would have been great (even those I don't agree with on much lol) - lads, I really hope you all have a great day at this!
Enjoy!

2.) 22 May 2018 15:38:21
I wanted to donate but I m too scared of privacy and details o my card etc I m no from UK is their any safe method of donations.

3.) 22 May 2018 15:41:03
This is such a great idea. I hope there will be some photos or videos of the match!

4.) 22 May 2018 16:02:51
Adam it will be live streamed on the football rumours Facebook mate.

5.) 22 May 2018 15:36:39
Why don’t you an your brother play Irish :)
Ed if you’re still happy to supply your teams kit, that would be class. If not i have an old blue kit from when I ran my clubs. Entirely up to you, you have my email x.

{Ed002's Note - I am happy to buy a kit for the team, let me know where you want me to ship it to. Also, I assume large or extra large. Let me know. What colour are the other side wearing? Thanks Benny. If I am in England I will try and come along.}

6.) 22 May 2018 18:03:37
Okay Ed002 thanks a lot. I have emailed your PA my address. The other team are in red, so a blue kit would be nice. As for sizes I’d say 10 large 4 XL should cover all our beautiful figures. I’m hoping this becomes a yearly cup so will use the same kits each year. Some of the boys may get stage fright if you attend, hopefully you don’t give us the hairdryer treatment at half time 🙈.

{Ed002's Note - Leave it with me Benny. Obviously if they are Liverpool fans playing they will need the extra long knuckle-dragger sleeves - I will get the ones with the hump on the back. I will speak to Coral in a few days when I get back to England and she will get it in hand right away. I will also get something that does not clash with the red. So may plan for electric cerise is probably down the pan. Really appreciate your efforts and will see if I can maybe fly back for this.}

7.) 22 May 2018 19:57:36
Benny,

I’m available to play 😃
I live in Oxfordshire.

8.) 22 May 2018 20:25:14
Why don’t Liverpool rumours buy 2 kits. Get go fund page and make it an annual thing. Each year get all players/ contributors to sign their name and something they can all look back on in how ever many years.

I know some spots left but if you are going do it Benny do it properly and leave a legacy pal.

9.) 22 May 2018 19:50:14
Ed02
Hump back, knuckle draggers, love it. Good to know your acerbic wit has not deserted you. Never reign it in or tone it down ED2. If you wind up a few bigots on the way, all the better.

10.) 22 May 2018 20:46:46
Hey Taffy. I do take a little offence to the doing it properly comment 😂

1. It is going to be an annual thing. We have two new kits, kindly bought by Ed002 and Ken.
2. Up till a month a go I had Dermot Gallagher refereeing ( he’s now on Hol, but I’ve emailed another efl referee )
3. We have named it the Matt Hawker cup, a legacy to Ed001s best mate who died from leukaemia.
4. We have a lovely little venue
5. It’s being live streamed on Facebook
6. We should have raised a thousand pounds for the charities
7. We will all be wearing black arm bands in honour of grumpy from the Everton page.
And finally we have people flying in from abroad to play in this game, with the possibility of meeting THE ed 002.
I don’t know to do it any more properly lol.

Liver1980 that’s brilliant. Please can you text me on the number above when you’ve read this.

11.) 22 May 2018 21:58:05
Benny your efforts are appropriated. Stellar job mate and for a fantastic cause.

12.) 22 May 2018 21:38:26
Could somebody post a link to the Facebook page please? I’ve search football transfer rumours, and as expected, hundreds of search results appeared.

13.) 22 May 2018 22:42:53
Hi Benny, I can play if needed, let me know what I need to do! Cheers.

14.) 22 May 2018 22:44:26
What a guy you are Benny and what a gesture from Ed2, your a legend mate. I wish I could attend such an event but life is far too busy these days, hope everybody involved has a great time.

15.) 22 May 2018 22:49:45
Wit: if you look at the banter page, an identical post is there where you can click the links. It may be on page 2 but I think it’s still main page.
John: text me mate.
Salah + navy. Thanks :) let’s hope it all goes smoothly!

16.) 22 May 2018 22:51:43
Should have used the search engine haha, emailed you benny and texted, cheers.

17.) 23 May 2018 10:10:23
Benny, get me a medium kit if you can 😂 I'm 5ft8. A large will drown me 👀.

18.) 23 May 2018 08:51:01
Long time watcher of the site but only an occasional poster. Really applaud what you are doing and would gladly make a donation. My football days are long gone but I always like a good cause that has some effort behind it.
Is there a Just Giving page link or something similar?

{Ed033's Note - Yes, football rumours just giving

19.) 23 May 2018 14:55:13
I only live 3 miles from Wroxton. May well come down and give you guys some support but I've not played in years so I'll leave that to the rest of you. Good job in sorting all this by the way, Benny.

20.) 23 May 2018 19:06:20
Hey,

Would love to get involved with this.
Don’t live too far away so if you are still looking for anyone to get involved then let me know!

Cheers,
Dave.

{Ed025's Note - just text benny on the number above morro..

21.) 23 May 2018 21:07:50
Awesome cheers Ed’s. Messaged you Benny!

22.) 24 May 2018 07:51:14
Gutted to be missing this, flying in from Asia just a bridge too far. Hopefully one of these days it coincides with a business/ holiday trip back home.

One request, can you record the game somewhere so we can watch back? Oh, and at the start can we do a team lineup with each persons site names so we can put a face to Ed’s, Benny, MK, Waro etc. would be fascinating I’m sure.

Finally, make sure if Ed02 turns up, can we arrange for a throne to watch the match and make sure he/ she is suitably dressed in androgynous clothing and wearing a stig helmet. We don’t want to destroy the mystique.

30 Apr 2018 10:30:51
Gerrard to become Klopp assistant.

benny baller

1.) 30 Apr 2018 11:04:27
It wouldn't surprise me in the least, I think he'd much prefer to be assistant to Klopp then going and managing Rangers or one would've thought so anyway? A lot going on at the moment.

2.) 30 Apr 2018 11:20:16
It would utterly baffle me if SG were to be made assistant given that Buvac has not left as an employee at the club.

3.) 30 Apr 2018 12:30:49
He hasn't done anything to warrant such a job, not even close.

4.) 30 Apr 2018 12:32:12
Hey Benny, I said this first 😡.

5.) 30 Apr 2018 12:42:56
Anyone for bringing pako back!

6.) 30 Apr 2018 12:46:24
Is Liverpool FC some sort of pantomime it always happens too us crazy drama before big games, coutihno before champs league qualifiers and premium start, now buvac before massive week, and pako wid Rafa, come on lads sort it out will ya's.

7.) 30 Apr 2018 13:38:05
From, by his own admission, gradually learning his trade with the Liverpool youngsters, to second-in-command at LFC / Rangers manager?
Neither, for me.
He should just carry on where he is, perhaps with the occasional input to the first team, and learn from Klopp and the staff at the club.

I can't believe that Rangers would ask him, they're too big for that.
Or that Gerrard would accept, it's a mammoth job, with trouble written all over it.

8.) 30 Apr 2018 14:03:25
Club legend SG maybe but tactician?

9.) 30 Apr 2018 15:19:26
Why do people keep over exaggerating the position rangers are in as a club? They are nowhere near title challengers, just look at how many points they are behind yet again. It’s going to take a number of years for them to close that gap, through good player recruitment and development of a squad which can compete with Celtic’s far superior squad. Surely rangers fans are not all so caught up in their past glory’s not to miss these facts? Yes Gerrard has no 1st team experience, but why not go manage in a league where there is almost no competition, where he can only really make things better for the club? Rodgers has revived his reputation up there (now linked with the Arsenal job) .

10.) 30 Apr 2018 17:17:09
There’s no chance he’s getting the assistant job and rightly so. Why do people think cos he played for us for years he should become assistant boss? . completely baffling what experience does he have for the role absolutely none at all.

Let’s stop the silly ideas he’s going to be liverpool manager one day, never going to happen.

12 Jan 2018 22:19:32
Ed002, could you translate this to english for us mere mortals. i've not a clue.
"A company under the name 'NK8 LIMITED' has been registered on the Companies House website. Two people are listed as officers - Naby Deco Keita and Bjorn Alexander Bezemer.
And the website states Keita was appointed as a director on January 11."
unless of course its all nonsense.

benny baller

{Ed002's Note - Aside from the bleeding obvious I am not sure what you are wanting. Nobby and his agent seem to have formed a limited company for their plans to make money from sponsorship etc.. obvious RBL are sick of the site of him now - going on strike, taunting the other players over money etc.. This is potentially one rough ride. And a really, really expensive one.}

1.) 12 Jan 2018 22:48:05
Ed do you think Nobby is really just an overpriced nob?

{Ed002's Note - I can’t blame the player for the price paid, RBL are livid about his i professionalism and taunting other players at the club about money, cars and clothes (?). They are very unhappy he has refused to train with the squad, and he has been very hot and cold on the pitch (again maybe not something to blame the player for).}

2.) 12 Jan 2018 22:52:11
seems like a player we will struggle to keep long term once a bigger club comes in for him! So we are going to give RBL more money than the 75 m € already agread upon for next summer plus all the other costs? Wow. we really need new negotiators or just learn to walk away and look at other players.

{Ed002's Note - As I have said, well over the odds.}

3.) 12 Jan 2018 22:52:53
No wonder the Ed’s need a break, I need one too!

4.) 12 Jan 2018 23:02:05
Keita seems to make Balotelli seem quite sensible.

{Ed002's Note - It would need to be resolved.}

5.) 12 Jan 2018 23:11:56
Seems he’s one notch under Balotelli.

6.) 12 Jan 2018 23:12:54
Tbh, I remember reading this site when Firmino signed and the consensus from the Ed's was we paid well over the odds for him.

{Ed002's Note - Right - well beyond his German release clause and the going rate at the time.}

7.) 12 Jan 2018 23:22:18
absolutely crazy money . other clubs must piss themselves laughing at us.

8.) 12 Jan 2018 23:23:29
"Aside from the bleeding obvious"
So what's obvious? i didn't know who Bjorn Alexander Bezemer was.
I didn't know the purpose of companies house.
I didn't know they had to set all that up for sponsorships.
i didn't know they didn't already have this set up.
and i didn't know if this was all related to a move to liverpool.
This is your area of expertise and far from what i know about, so please don't belittle me with calling it bleeding obvious.
I don't belittle you on things i know about which you don't; dress sense, woman, physical health :)

{Ed002's Note - Ok Benny, I made the assumption that understand such matters.}

9.) 12 Jan 2018 23:35:42
Well i do pride myself on knowing a fair bit on how the world works, however taxes, revenue and customs, vat, limited companies etc etc all that stuff is something i'll never get my head around. Thinking about it, that stuff is 90% of how the world works ha.
I appreciate your comment, and i appreciate your original answer.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - You are alright Benny.}

10.) 12 Jan 2018 23:44:45
would be nice if footballers where exactly that, did exactly that and nothing else. I blame beckham.

11.) 13 Jan 2018 01:52:03
A couple of comments and now suddenly the guy is below Balotelli? Give me (and Naby) a break. as Ed01 said the guy has probably been trying too hard and the fans are all over his back - no question he wants out and frankly he’s in a tough spot. Let’s make sure when he arrives we support him and judge him on his behavior once we actually see how he does.

12.) 13 Jan 2018 06:11:25
I trust Klopps judgment on Keita.
He may just turn out to be an absolute bargain!

13.) 13 Jan 2018 07:41:27
Over the odds for firmino.

City of the odds for de bruyne

Barcelona have just paid 142 mil for cou

Maybe rbl wouldn't of had these problems if they had just sold the lads. Why good someone against there will because your stubborn bterds lol

He will be class for us and hope he does everything to get out of that place and over to us. Taunt the f out of them.

14.) 13 Jan 2018 08:04:03
It will only be over the odds if he doesn't improve the team. Klopp somehow makes most players play better than they did at their previous clubsection bar Karius.

15.) 13 Jan 2018 08:21:04
Naby seems to be in a similar position to Emre Can with some of the fans in that when he makes a mistake or whatever, fans accuse him of having his head elsewhere.

To me, Can seems to be behaving very professionally, but the perception is there. If he isn't signing a contract with Liverpool then probably his best option would be to leave before February or suffer abuse from a section of fans who don't seem to understand that football is a job for these players.

16.) 13 Jan 2018 00:06:17
Cheers Edd002 sounds like Balotelli mk 2 is about to de desend on our club, god help us.

17.) 13 Jan 2018 10:55:13
It's nothing like balotelli. Keita is class and has been one of the most sought after midfielders in the world last couple of seasons. Coutinho faked 2 injuries to not play for us would you say he was like balotelli?

18.) 13 Jan 2018 11:03:40
VDV that's good point. There's no doubt that Can is acting in a professional manner despite his apparent eagerness to leave. But he's ran his contract down nevertheless and that will cost the club - £25 million plus easily?

If he'd been a nob, but had signed a contract and we ended up getting a good fee for him, would that be worse?

RBL are getting good money for him, they can't moan.
It's what players do now - Keita, Coutinho, VVD, Suarez - they can all cause problems in various ways.

19.) 13 Jan 2018 11:35:12
Juicer, I was commenting on some fans' perceptions that Keita and Emre are not giving their all to their current teams.

I agree that their situations are not entirely the same.

20.) 13 Jan 2018 11:52:38
Comparing Balotelli and Keita. The only similarity they have is that they're African.

{Ed001's Note - Balotelli is Italian....}

21.) 13 Jan 2018 12:29:43
I think what ed002 was saying about firmino is that he could have be purchased for less money - not matter how good we think he is now, it was still over the odds!

22.) 13 Jan 2018 12:17:34
African descent ed001.

{Ed001's Note - you could say that about anyone mate. Bit like there is something like a 99.9% chance that anyone in England could trace their ancestry back and find they are related to Richard III (iirc!). At some point everyone will have an ancestor from Africa just depends how far back you go.}

23.) 13 Jan 2018 12:48:15
Have to say big red flag for the future the way he's acting, season or two playing well and he will pull the same stuff on us when Barcelona or real come calling.

27 Dec 2017 18:03:33
Vvd done deal to Liverpool eds. Very happy man me.
Kept that one quiet didn't they!

benny baller

27 Nov 2017 17:02:39
Ed002.
As discussed about the couts talks in London. Is the general consensus for him to leave in January; or is the deal to be done for the summer.
Many thanks.

benny baller

{Ed002's Note - There is no agreement on him moving at this time Benny. Personally I would think Liverpool would like to keep him until the summer if he is commited unless a replacement can be found.}

1.) 27 Nov 2017 17:40:50
He looks anything but committed at the club unfortunately. A deal done swiftly before the beginning of December deadline would be beneficial to all at this point.

2.) 27 Nov 2017 17:49:03
He is clearly not commited though ed. let's hope he moves on and we bring in Mayer or Draxler.

3.) 27 Nov 2017 17:50:32
thanks ed. ill ask again friday to see if things have changed.

4.) 27 Nov 2017 18:49:08
Evening Ed002.

You mentioned the deadline Barcelona set regarding Couthino, think the deadline has passed?

{Ed002's Note - It is not a deadline. Barcelona want agreement this month as someone heading the discussions is leaving the club and will be moving to another club. At that point, they will regroup and look at alternatives, but the interest in PC won't suddenly disappear. They have other options and they have to look to them.}

5.) 27 Nov 2017 19:35:40
I would get rid and pull out everything too get rabiot of psg he is a beast an perfect replacement for Can an we have other players who can replace coutihno.

6.) 28 Nov 2017 09:39:30
We have a replacement for can, we need a replacement for Coutinho.

7.) 28 Nov 2017 09:56:16
Get rid.
He’s sublimely talented but can’t be bothered for us anymore so what’s the point in keeping him? we have seen the best of him and we won’t get it back.
His performances of late has reminded me a bit of when we first got him from inter, the odd flash of brilliance but mostly ineffective and inconsistent.
On current form for us he’s worth about the same we bought him for but to Barcelona he’s worth more than 10X that amount so it’s a no brainier to take the money and run and spend it on the defence.
Not to mention his poor attitude will be effecting team morale negativively.

8.) 28 Nov 2017 15:38:25
Drop him out of the squad. The attitude that he has shown in the last couple of matches doesn’t warrant him a place. There are other players who can take his place. Playing him is similar to playing with 10 men because his contribution is not good.

9.) 28 Nov 2017 18:08:33
Aren't him and can taking a big risk in world cup year. For me if th3u haven't forced there moves by January, then I believe atleast coutinho will perform a lot alot a lot better through the end of the season. He's not irriplacable in that Brazil team, especially with players such as Willian. Not say he's bett2e but if he's on better form it is the rw after all.

10.) 28 Nov 2017 18:35:03
The sickener is a couple of months back we could have got 100M for him, whereas now we won't get anything near that.

11.) 28 Nov 2017 19:49:38
I have been in the camp criticizing Coutinho, but I do think we're underplaying a bit how the change into central midfield can affect his game. he's not got the engine or the physique to battle away in the middle of the park and then still have gas in the tank to perform in the attacking third where he is most effective.

12.) 29 Nov 2017 18:15:18
Yeah faith that's also why he was actually converted to a right winger because hacking in the middle isn't his game.

He's not a quick think like everyone thinks. He does need that time the wing allows.

21 May 2018 16:38:48
Question for Tris.
In reference to motivation and second winds.
Re: Milner.
As a player, we all know when we have come off the pitch, whether or not we have worked hard.
Milner must know he has, especially in champions league games, I believe he was "randomly" drug tested after the Roma game as he covered twice the distant of any other player. I believe he's doing this to 1. Keep his place in the team and 2. Most importantly, to try and win the gold at the end of the rainbow, in what is realistically his last chance.

So my question is in two parts, once this wave of champions league football the players are riding, ( particularly Milner ) comes to an end, how do you get yourself back to that gut busting, heart wrenching work rate, away to Cardiff at the season opener?!
The second part, once the wave is over and we are 3/ 4 games in to the season, technically not "cup finals", could you see Milner returning to how he used to play under Rodgers in CM?

Thanks.

benny baller

{Ed001's Note - no, I don't think it is so much that he is working harder than usual, that is what he has always done, the problem was that he did not have the right system for him to perform to his best before. Klopp has it set up to suit him and it is making him play better. The better he performs, the better he feels mentally, so the more he works. He looks like a player at the peak of his form physically and mentally and loving life.}

1.) 21 May 2018 18:18:34
How do you keep yourself at that peak, mentally, when there’s nothing to play for ( basically the first 3 months of a new season ) ? I think things comes your way when you work hard for them on the pitch, and to me right now Milner is our best cm, even if they’re all fit. I’d like him to stay at this peak.

2.) 21 May 2018 18:29:56
Work ethic and professionalism that's how. Guys like Milner and Bobby might have an off day but you can never say they don't give it their all no matter what the competetion is.

3.) 21 May 2018 18:52:37
I think Milner has been our best player throughout the champions league, so consistent and professional. He's arguably playing as good as he ever has right now and after a year at left back has really shown his worth this season.

4.) 21 May 2018 18:59:20
The only motivation I know that could possibly keep you mentally involved in the first 3-4 months of the year, is the knowledge that your (and the team's) performance during that time is the foundation and basis of what will happen for the remainder of the year. That first quarter or third of the year performance dictates where you end up in the Cup competitions, European competition and even the EPL, later in the year. I know most of us function on an immediate reward basis, where we look for an immediate reward for any type of activity, but I guess professionalism demands that you know how "the football season" system works and how it's all about a season long effort, at a consistently high peak level.

5.) 21 May 2018 19:22:29
Milner is another example of Klopp added value.

Klopp has done that with quite a number of our side

I reckon Klopp has got 10 to 20 per cent out of the players we have

The bonus has been that the majority of our transfers have worked. No doubt there has been plenty of groundwork done plus a bit of luck plus the work Klopp and his staff have done when the new players have arrived

Look at how Klopp transformed the Ox

Look at our Trent being encouraged and backed after slip ups

Look at Andy Robertson. He will run through brick walls for the team

Bobby up top. He is one of the very best right now. Pundits are only now slowly realising how special he is.

Mane is electric and when his mate Keita arrived we could get nuclear fusion!

The we have Mo. Just keep playing smiling and scoring. Brilliant. One season wonder? No chance. Mo is the real deal. He will be worth more than Neymar. blow that . he is priceless. Not for sale Madrid. Go buy Hazard or Kane or Lewandowski.

Milner Henderson VVD all improved by Klopp

Heavy metal football was promised and it has been delivered and the best thing about it all is this is just the beginning.

It’s great to see the team play and give it a go

Kiev is looming and Madrid might be tough but all I want is for us to play our way and give it to them like we gave it to Citeh.

Klopp deserves a winner’s medal for what he has created with this side.

The boys will do it for the boss for themselves and for us all.

Great answer Ar.

7.) 21 May 2018 19:49:31
As soon as the season begins, ALL games are important. There are NO throw-away games or "nothing to play for" games during the first 3/ 4 months of the season. Why? Cos everything you do during that time, is to prepare you for where you are at the business end of the season. This is what is happening to Milner. He has always been a machine physically BUT was not thriving in the midfield system we were playing in at the start as it was a shambles. Now, Klopp as Ed said, has found a system where Milner can thrive and he is getting it done. I hope all his and all our efforts will be crowned will success come Sat cos BOY, does Milner, Hendo, Lovren and of course Klopp, deserve it for all their years of service to our great club, regardless of their qualities and flaws.

8.) 21 May 2018 19:56:24
Excellent point Benny- I've been so critical of Milner all season but the last few months he has been excellent. On top of klopp’s system suiting him, I also think it’s down to his decision making. For lack of a better explanation, imo his decision making has just been better across the pitch in almost every part of his game. He doesn’t leave gaps the way he used to and he doesn’t seem to run at players he can’t beat anymore- his passing is more assured and his positioning has been excellent. I’ve never criticized his heart- just his headless chicken approach. I see very little of that these days so I’m not at all worried about him in the season opener or season ending games. If he keeps that concentration- we’ve got ourselves a great passionate player and I’ve never been happier to be wrong about a player in my life.

9.) 21 May 2018 22:21:06
It could be that he was just a bit rusty in his favoured position. A good run in the team can do wonders for your confidence and output.

10.) 21 May 2018 22:36:44
It is incredible that 2 years ago, we were all screaming for him to not play in CM.

11 May 2018 17:24:28
Was wondering if anyone could remind me of ed002s shortlist of players whom are expected to have good futures. I can only remember Phil Foden. Cheers.

1.) 11 May 2018 17:58:23
{Ed002's Note - George Hirst, Mason Mount, Phil Foden, Rhian Brewster, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ademola Lookman, Trevoh Chalobah, Dujon Sterling, Jadon Sancho and Ezri Konsa make up one notable Youth Team Manager's selection when asked a few weeks ago. You could also do well to look at the England U20 and Under 17 sides. }

There you go mate - glad you remembered 'Foden' as I searched on him ;-)

2.) 11 May 2018 18:02:27
It’s both impressive and worrying that Chelsea have all the top talents in English football.

Hoping there will be a lot realising moving away is the hest for their career. Rather than Chelsea stockpiling purely for profit than career development!

3.) 11 May 2018 19:41:17
As far as I am aware, they have had the best youth team for a good few years now and not one has come through and claimed a place since Terry. It seems to me that they create talent to sell it rather than to use it. Or, at least they seem happy to do so.

4.) 11 May 2018 21:03:55
Most prospects don't get to the expected levels, and some players come from nowhere and achieve greatness.

03 May 2018 08:11:30
Seriously contemplating a 24h drive to Kiev. All flights are booked :o.

1.) 03 May 2018 08:19:34
Me and my mate are trying to sort out coming to Liverpool lol.

2.) 03 May 2018 08:51:48
May be quicker to get to Kiev, Adam, depending on traffic, lol!

3.) 03 May 2018 08:52:16
Shall we organise a liverpool-rumours convoy? Get a couple of mini busses and make the trip over?

4.) 03 May 2018 09:26:59
I'm thinking about coming up to liverpool as I don't have many liverpool supporting mates down here in london. What do the london reds think? Or shall we all arrange to meet in the 3 kings early and make london rumble with the sound?

5.) 03 May 2018 10:12:27
Redwillis I'll make the trip up to Liverpool to see our boys driving round the city with big ears on display.

6.) 03 May 2018 10:45:37
I'm up for that redwillis, although I'm in pompey atm could and would meet you at Waterloo/ Victoria. I'll keep an eye out on here if you're serious mate.

7.) 03 May 2018 10:56:13
Spare a thought for me in a regional Queensland town (Hervey Bay) . No bar would bother opening Sunday morning as there'd probably just be me and my son there. The local soccer club would be full of utd fans and that wouldn't end well.

8.) 03 May 2018 13:37:33
That depends where you’re flying from Benny 😉.

02 May 2018 07:14:13
Even if we go out tonight, I can gladly say we surpassed expectations and looking back it has been a fun champions league campaign, with some good memories made. A final would be mint, hopefully we get the job done.

benny baller

1.) 02 May 2018 08:14:36
If we go out tonight - which we won't - we would be disappointed that we let it slip from our hands after scoring 5 goals.
The boys will get the job done.

2.) 02 May 2018 08:18:39
Sorry Benny but with the team we have and that lead it would be a disgrace to go out tonight.

3.) 02 May 2018 08:29:47
It’s the hope that’ll kill you.

4.) 02 May 2018 08:29:48
I think what Benny is alluding to is how great it is we are here and how far we’ve come. Since 2007 we’ve never looked like a good team capable of challenging but once this season concludes, I think we have every right to be quietly optimistic going forward.

5.) 02 May 2018 08:57:15
Overall we've done fantastic and I'm grateful for that, getting to this stage was way beyond my expectations so I'm delighted. But we'll make it to the final, that I'm confident of. We've turned many heads and teams are now seeing what we're capable of, we brought the fear factor back, nobody wants to play Liverpool right now. Next season we'll be even better!

6.) 02 May 2018 09:11:26
We have nothing to fear but ourselves, play our game and when they push up use our speed to get past them, they will probably play on the half way line.
When our defenders have the ball play it forward and don't let them catch us with the ball.
Fingers crossed .
YNWA.

7.) 02 May 2018 10:48:15
It's always that funny case when people say 'you would have taken that at the start' isn't it? To me, what I'd have taken at the start is irrelevant. Yes, if we had gone out vs Roma I'd have been upset but not distraught - we had a great campaign, broke records and if we went out to a team like Roma, so be it. But to be any worse than a finalist now would be disgraceful, you shouldn't ever lose a 3 goal lead and there simply isn't an excuse - especially when you're a team that works best on the counter!

8.) 02 May 2018 14:38:04
well said, we are great on the counter, which is why we have scored so many goals away from home,
I am going for a 2 2 draw .

9.) 02 May 2018 16:07:36
Nah, Benny. Not buying that. If we go out, it will be cos we screwed up, plain and simple. We are on the cusp of something great and we have worked too, hard for too long, to screw that up and given in to becoming good losers. Roma have a HUGE mountain to climb and they control nothing. We have a huge lead and we need to see the tie out. We will be fine, IMO.

Some of the boys may get stage fright if you attend, hopefully you don’t give us the hairdryer treatment at half time 🙈.

benny baller

{Ed002's Note - Leave it with me Benny. Obviously if they are Liverpool fans playing they will need the extra long knuckle-dragger sleeves - I will get the ones with the hump on the back. I will speak to Coral in a few days when I get back to England and she will get it in hand right away. I will also get something that does not clash with the red. So may plan for electric cerise is probably down the pan. Really appreciate your efforts and will see if I can maybe fly back for this.}

Why don’t you an your brother play Irish :)
Ed if you’re still happy to supply your teams kit, that would be class. If not i have an old blue kit from when I ran my clubs. Entirely up to you, you have my email x.

benny baller

{Ed002's Note - I am happy to buy a kit for the team, let me know where you want me to ship it to. Also, I assume large or extra large. Let me know. What colour are the other side wearing? Thanks Benny. If I am in England I will try and come along.}
