1.) 19 Jun 2018 23:12:44
Thank you Benny.

2.) 20 Jun 2018 00:19:14
Great occasion, great game, awesome kits and the cameramen were at worst, brilliant! Hope you double your ambitions. Well done to All of you!

3.) 20 Jun 2018 08:48:53
mk scouser isn't a scouser? bizarre username.

4.) 20 Jun 2018 08:58:44
im sure you are not a bamboo.

5.) 20 Jun 2018 10:47:37
Pretty sure it is a reference to being an adopted scouser for having supported Liverpool probably most his life. Not that it matters.

6.) 20 Jun 2018 11:13:21
Nailed It, Adam.

7.) 20 Jun 2018 13:18:46
Is it too late to sign up for the next game?

8.) 20 Jun 2018 23:50:05
Also MK for Milton Keynes after moving a few years back if I remember correctly.

9.) 20 Jun 2018 10:47:37

Ed001/ 002. Clear your diaries for June 15th 2019 if you can? We will see if we can hold on to OUR cup.

Ps, highlights will be on YouTube tonight.

benny baller

{Ed001's Note - it was a fluke you got it!}

1.) 18 Jun 2018 16:38:38
Guys appologies for the drop out things still not sorted but life goes on.

Any chance of securing a stadium for the day and perhaps a tournament on there?

2.) 18 Jun 2018 17:12:22
Hi can we have highlights of the event?

3.) 18 Jun 2018 17:55:14
Stg Ken’s speech and captains hairdryer on Mahfuz were the absolute highlights of the day mate, closely followed by his swan lake dive on the edge of the box. He is the nicest Man Utd fan in the world mate, unless of course he has made good on his promise to burn the official Liverpool Mo Salah Egyptian King crown 👑 we gave him, in which case he’s a stereotypical manc after all 😵.

4.) 18 Jun 2018 20:26:01
what is the match called on YouTube? Ps well done around lads.

{Ed033's Note - Benny Baller hasn't uploaded it yet

Two weeks and a day till the biggest game of the season. The football-rumours charity game.
8 months of prep comes down to this 😋
Firstly, I would like to thank the editors for their support and help in getting this set up.
Secondly, their are 3 spots left, so if you'd like to play the game, based in north Oxfordshire on the 16th, give me a text : call on 07719565417 for more details.
The opportunity to be in a 50/ 50 with MK Scouser is too good a chance to miss surely?
If you can't attend but want to watch the match, we have you covered, the game will be streamed live on the football-rumours Facebook page, so get following today guys.
Fingers crossed Ed002 is in the country and can attend 🤞🏼.

benny baller

{Ed002's Note - The kit is being shipped to you today Benny - I will be away from the UK at that poing but I can get back in I will.}

1.) 01 Jun 2018 10:58:05
Brilliant stuff, sorry I can't be there but will be watching. Have fun guys 😎.

2.) 01 Jun 2018 11:00:39
Best of luck with it all Benny and everyone involved, I would offer to play but my feet are like 20p's (my first touch really could go anywhere) to the point where my own team would be trying to leave one on me out of frustration! Plus i would be out of breath just putting the kit on.

3.) 01 Jun 2018 11:05:27
Brilliant. I’m slightly worried we are going to have 11 shirts with your face spread across the front.
I know it’s a slim chance of you being there, but if you did, as a thanks to everyone making the effort to play and travel, do you think we could have a live Q&A where each player gets to ask you one question after the game😇 obviously there will be ground rules, I. e no talk of work, no camera phones and obviously no #wonderdogsparkyout banners.
I’d assume with your schedule you’d have to shoot off after, but you don’t get if you don’t ask.

{Ed002's Note - As long as they are kept in cages. I will try.}

4.) 01 Jun 2018 11:27:43
Best of luck lads would love to be around for it.

What's the rumours Facebook page? Can never find it, although to be honest prefer looking at the site anyways but would like to see some of this match.

5.) 01 Jun 2018 15:47:14
This is so great. Really want to come but not certain on travel arrangements and getting there etc. Would love to play if I could.
With the Facebook page, does anyone have the link or exact wording for the page. When I search it, I get Liverpool FC latest/ transfer news but I am not sure if that is it and the other pages are out of date?

6.) 01 Jun 2018 15:52:43
I wish I could come and support you guys but my circumstances will not permit this time.
If I have a few quid spare I will try to donate a small sum.
I really hope I will be able to participate next year.
Me and Harry in the same team please.

7.) 01 Jun 2018 16:01:12

8.) 01 Jun 2018 17:01:38
Just realised I'm only an hour or so away but I will be in lanzerote when the games on, would have been a good craic. Hope you have a great day.

9.) 01 Jun 2018 18:11:32
Q.

Ed002: read the F. posts 😄.

10.) 01 Jun 2018 18:32:31
The link Benny showed for the Facebook link appears to be incorrect. I tried it as want to watch the game next week but says no link found.

11.) 01 Jun 2018 19:13:29
Thanks for the link. Worked fine search that in the search bar Walter and it’s the first. Benny baller right there so you know it’s theres.

With the match. I might try and make it but it will be super late notice. Don’t hold anything for me but I may be a late introduction :)

12.) 01 Jun 2018 19:54:19
Imagine that Ron 😂.

13.) 02 Jun 2018 08:16:32
The link is working now.

22 May 2018 13:06:36
Gentlemen,

There are a few spots left for the Site Posters charity match next month.

As I want full squads and we are getting close to the date, the match fee will be whatever you are happy to donate to SEVA foundation and Macmillan Nurses.

Details are as follows:
16th June, 3pm KO
Wroxton Sports Club
Horley Road, Wroxton, Oxon OX15 6PY
There are cheap local hotels, and as some of the lads have already mentioned, plenty of beer joints!

I am in the process of adding all current participants to a whatsapp group. So I will put my back up phone number here, god forbid I put my usual number :)
07719565417
Whatsapp / text me asap, if you can attend and play.

The game will streamed live on the football rumours facebook page.

If any one reading this wants to donate to the above charities, there is a football rumours just giving donate page.

benny baller

{Ed002's Note - Benny, let me know what is needed from me.}

1.) 22 May 2018 14:55:23
This is brilliant and a great cause, really gutted I can't make it (my brother is home from foreign lands for first time in almost 3 years) .

To put faces to names on here would have been great (even those I don't agree with on much lol) - lads, I really hope you all have a great day at this!
Enjoy!

2.) 22 May 2018 15:38:21
I wanted to donate but I m too scared of privacy and details o my card etc I m no from UK is their any safe method of donations.

3.) 22 May 2018 15:41:03
This is such a great idea. I hope there will be some photos or videos of the match!

4.) 22 May 2018 16:02:51
Adam it will be live streamed on the football rumours Facebook mate.

5.) 22 May 2018 15:36:39
Why don’t you an your brother play Irish :)
Ed if you’re still happy to supply your teams kit, that would be class. If not i have an old blue kit from when I ran my clubs. Entirely up to you, you have my email x.

{Ed002's Note - I am happy to buy a kit for the team, let me know where you want me to ship it to. Also, I assume large or extra large. Let me know. What colour are the other side wearing? Thanks Benny. If I am in England I will try and come along.}

6.) 22 May 2018 18:03:37
Okay Ed002 thanks a lot. I have emailed your PA my address. The other team are in red, so a blue kit would be nice. As for sizes I’d say 10 large 4 XL should cover all our beautiful figures. I’m hoping this becomes a yearly cup so will use the same kits each year. Some of the boys may get stage fright if you attend, hopefully you don’t give us the hairdryer treatment at half time 🙈.

{Ed002's Note - Leave it with me Benny. Obviously if they are Liverpool fans playing they will need the extra long knuckle-dragger sleeves - I will get the ones with the hump on the back. I will speak to Coral in a few days when I get back to England and she will get it in hand right away. I will also get something that does not clash with the red. So may plan for electric cerise is probably down the pan. Really appreciate your efforts and will see if I can maybe fly back for this.}

7.) 22 May 2018 19:57:36
Benny,

I’m available to play 😃
I live in Oxfordshire.

8.) 22 May 2018 20:25:14
Why don’t Liverpool rumours buy 2 kits. Get go fund page and make it an annual thing. Each year get all players/ contributors to sign their name and something they can all look back on in how ever many years.

I know some spots left but if you are going do it Benny do it properly and leave a legacy pal.

9.) 22 May 2018 19:50:14
Ed02
Hump back, knuckle draggers, love it. Good to know your acerbic wit has not deserted you. Never reign it in or tone it down ED2. If you wind up a few bigots on the way, all the better.

10.) 22 May 2018 20:46:46
Hey Taffy. I do take a little offence to the doing it properly comment 😂

1. It is going to be an annual thing. We have two new kits, kindly bought by Ed002 and Ken.
2. Up till a month a go I had Dermot Gallagher refereeing ( he’s now on Hol, but I’ve emailed another efl referee )
3. We have named it the Matt Hawker cup, a legacy to Ed001s best mate who died from leukaemia.
4. We have a lovely little venue
5. It’s being live streamed on Facebook
6. We should have raised a thousand pounds for the charities
7. We will all be wearing black arm bands in honour of grumpy from the Everton page.
And finally we have people flying in from abroad to play in this game, with the possibility of meeting THE ed 002.
I don’t know to do it any more properly lol.

Liver1980 that’s brilliant. Please can you text me on the number above when you’ve read this.

11.) 22 May 2018 21:58:05
Benny your efforts are appropriated. Stellar job mate and for a fantastic cause.

12.) 22 May 2018 21:38:26
Could somebody post a link to the Facebook page please? I’ve search football transfer rumours, and as expected, hundreds of search results appeared.

13.) 22 May 2018 22:42:53
Hi Benny, I can play if needed, let me know what I need to do! Cheers.

14.) 22 May 2018 22:44:26
What a guy you are Benny and what a gesture from Ed2, your a legend mate. I wish I could attend such an event but life is far too busy these days, hope everybody involved has a great time.

15.) 22 May 2018 22:49:45
Wit: if you look at the banter page, an identical post is there where you can click the links. It may be on page 2 but I think it’s still main page.
John: text me mate.
Salah + navy. Thanks :) let’s hope it all goes smoothly!

16.) 22 May 2018 22:51:43
Should have used the search engine haha, emailed you benny and texted, cheers.

17.) 23 May 2018 10:10:23
Benny, get me a medium kit if you can 😂 I'm 5ft8. A large will drown me 👀.

18.) 23 May 2018 08:51:01
Long time watcher of the site but only an occasional poster. Really applaud what you are doing and would gladly make a donation. My football days are long gone but I always like a good cause that has some effort behind it.
Is there a Just Giving page link or something similar?

{Ed033's Note - Yes, football rumours just giving

19.) 23 May 2018 14:55:13
I only live 3 miles from Wroxton. May well come down and give you guys some support but I've not played in years so I'll leave that to the rest of you. Good job in sorting all this by the way, Benny.

20.) 23 May 2018 19:06:20
Hey,

Would love to get involved with this.
Don’t live too far away so if you are still looking for anyone to get involved then let me know!

Cheers,
Dave.

{Ed025's Note - just text benny on the number above morro..

21.) 23 May 2018 21:07:50
Awesome cheers Ed’s. Messaged you Benny!

22.) 24 May 2018 07:51:14
Gutted to be missing this, flying in from Asia just a bridge too far. Hopefully one of these days it coincides with a business/ holiday trip back home.

One request, can you record the game somewhere so we can watch back? Oh, and at the start can we do a team lineup with each persons site names so we can put a face to Ed’s, Benny, MK, Waro etc. would be fascinating I’m sure.

Finally, make sure if Ed02 turns up, can we arrange for a throne to watch the match and make sure he/ she is suitably dressed in androgynous clothing and wearing a stig helmet. We don’t want to destroy the mystique.

23.) 25 May 2018 16:24:03
Benny I see there's 11 days to go and 30% of the target has been reached, please remind me a couple of days before the date and I'll try to make up whatever else is needed to reach the target.

24.) 25 May 2018 16:24:03
Benny I see there's 11 days to go and 30% of the target has been reached, please remind me a couple of days before the date and I'll try to make up whatever else is needed to reach the target.

{Ed002's Note - My PA tells me the hit has been ordered.}

30 Apr 2018 10:30:51
Gerrard to become Klopp assistant.

benny baller

1.) 30 Apr 2018 11:04:27
It wouldn't surprise me in the least, I think he'd much prefer to be assistant to Klopp then going and managing Rangers or one would've thought so anyway? A lot going on at the moment.

2.) 30 Apr 2018 11:20:16
It would utterly baffle me if SG were to be made assistant given that Buvac has not left as an employee at the club.

3.) 30 Apr 2018 12:30:49
He hasn't done anything to warrant such a job, not even close.

4.) 30 Apr 2018 12:32:12
Hey Benny, I said this first 😡.

5.) 30 Apr 2018 12:42:56
Anyone for bringing pako back!

6.) 30 Apr 2018 12:46:24
Is Liverpool FC some sort of pantomime it always happens too us crazy drama before big games, coutihno before champs league qualifiers and premium start, now buvac before massive week, and pako wid Rafa, come on lads sort it out will ya's.

7.) 30 Apr 2018 13:38:05
From, by his own admission, gradually learning his trade with the Liverpool youngsters, to second-in-command at LFC / Rangers manager?
Neither, for me.
He should just carry on where he is, perhaps with the occasional input to the first team, and learn from Klopp and the staff at the club.

I can't believe that Rangers would ask him, they're too big for that.
Or that Gerrard would accept, it's a mammoth job, with trouble written all over it.

8.) 30 Apr 2018 14:03:25
Club legend SG maybe but tactician?

9.) 30 Apr 2018 15:19:26
Why do people keep over exaggerating the position rangers are in as a club? They are nowhere near title challengers, just look at how many points they are behind yet again. It’s going to take a number of years for them to close that gap, through good player recruitment and development of a squad which can compete with Celtic’s far superior squad. Surely rangers fans are not all so caught up in their past glory’s not to miss these facts? Yes Gerrard has no 1st team experience, but why not go manage in a league where there is almost no competition, where he can only really make things better for the club? Rodgers has revived his reputation up there (now linked with the Arsenal job) .

10.) 30 Apr 2018 17:17:09
There’s no chance he’s getting the assistant job and rightly so. Why do people think cos he played for us for years he should become assistant boss? . completely baffling what experience does he have for the role absolutely none at all.

Let’s stop the silly ideas he’s going to be liverpool manager one day, never going to happen.

16 May 2019 10:02:33
Morning all.

I'm going to be doing a podcast and analysis on refereeing decisions, could I please have some suggestions on good/ bad decisions over the course of the season, that I could possibly try and explain why they happened.

Thanks.

benny baller

1.) 16 May 2019 10:25:43
I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on some of the diving we've seen this year, especially with the backtrack on yellows that's seemed to have happened!
Not sure on examples, but thinking Dele, hazard, sterling etc.

2.) 16 May 2019 10:27:12
PSG handball is a good one - still see people debate that today

Kompany on Salah would be interesting too - just watched it back as couldn't recall it and I think it's a pretty shocking decision by the ref, especially as Salah would've been away!

Maybe Trent handball that led to Newcastle goal. Seen loads claim he should've walked even though they scored advantage (although I think ref got that right personally)

Sounds really interesting, do you have an ongoing podcast or is this a new venture? Be sure to share when live!

3.) 16 May 2019 10:41:26
Maybe something on VAR coming into the premier league and the new rules for this upcoming season👍🏻.

4.) 16 May 2019 10:41:46
how about the tackle on Salah by Kompany that I thought was a clear red.

5.) 16 May 2019 10:59:15
Mane red card against city last season.

Mane was simply going for the ball like any goal hungry striker would.

It was early in the game and we got hammered. I thought it was crazy, it was a yellow all day. Or even not a foul. Football is a contact sport.

It completely changed the game. City are hard enough with your best 11, but 10 men and still trying to win.

6.) 16 May 2019 11:37:34
Mane goal against Arsenal that wasn't given. we would currently be celebrating our first EPL had the correct decision been given although Tottenham might argue that our win against them should have been a draw had the ref given a penalty for Mane (allegedly) bringing down Son in a bit of a clumsy challenge. And perhaps an explanation of Johnathon Moss's refereeing performance in the Man City v Burnley game. some very odd decisions.

7.) 16 May 2019 12:06:18
Benny, what class ref are u?

8.) 16 May 2019 12:32:40
World class, Sandon.

{Ed001's Note - it says 'remedial' above the door....}

9.) 16 May 2019 15:00:52
The Chelsea goal from a corner at Cardiff please Benny!

10.) 16 May 2019 15:13:49
Benny, I once read about an incident (I think in South America somewhere) where a ball hit a players hand and went in for a goal.
I am sure it was not clear if "ball to hand" meant goal was legal or not (I certainly have no idea even now)

1 is thus still an unknown subject?
2 maybe rule was changed lately?

11.) 16 May 2019 20:34:51
1, 2 or 3?
I was a class 3.
Ill tell u a few stories when i get a sec.

{Ed025's Note - i want benny to explain what happened to bans for simulation? everton had niasse banned for 2 games after it was alleged that he dived after a challenge in the box, yet salah and the like do impressions of greg louganis on a weekly basis yet get off scott free?...is it a sky 6 thing?..

12.) 16 May 2019 21:05:01
I think you’re clutching there Ed. Salah’s ‘dives’ always follow contact on him from an opponent. Yes he exaggerates the contact but then if you were going to ban players for that then Calvert-Lewin would only play about 3 games in his entire career!

{Ed025's Note - nah becker your looking through tinted spec,s mate, salah is a very talented player but a serial diver and downright cheat, the thing is that he cant help it im afraid...its part of his make up..

13.) 17 May 2019 10:09:08
E25, you prolly want to address your own divers in your own club before calling someone else a serial diver. Richarlison couldn't stay on his feet if you breathed on him and the same for Calvert Lewin YET every time this topic comes up, all you seem to talk about is Salah. Are you obsessed with him or what, lol?
"He can't help it". You mean like Richarlison can't help going down if you walked past him? You are projecting, my friend.

Salah only dived once officially and the other times, he did not based on the r. Did he go down easily after contact? Yes. That is NOT diving. The experts tell us that if there is contact, he has a right to go down. Now when Kane or any other English player does it, it's fine BUT when Salah does it, it's called a dive.

Tell me, did Salah dive when the Cardiff defender man-handled him and did AL he could to stay on his feet? Did Salah dive when David Luiz clearly kicked in in the shin? Leave it alone, man. If you are going to talk about divers, address your lot first before lecturing the rest of us. As the French say, "It's better you go sweep your front yard clean first before lecturing the rest of us on the state of ours". Cheers, man.

{Ed025's Note - richarlison...cheat...DCL naive but has cheated...salah...worst of the lot because the clubs success has depended on that hoodwinking of match officials, you wont hear of it of course because you have this penchant to defend your own players whatever they do...just like suarez...i get it i really do but i just tell it like i see it without any agenda mate..

14.) 17 May 2019 20:19:05
The current thought in your leaders regarding the confrontation of referees and abuse during those head to heads and if the appetite will ever be there to ban it.
I think its hurting the game down to kids level.

30 Apr 2019 11:48:01
Would you take a 1-0 loss to Newcastle, if it guaranteed us making the champions league final? Tricky one.

benny baller

1.) 30 Apr 2019 11:51:51
I'd never take a loss before the game has started benny you're getting abit strange.

2.) 30 Apr 2019 11:54:59
No chance.

3.) 30 Apr 2019 11:56:32
It’s not a tricky one, I wouldn’t take any loss on purpose.

We play every game as a final and aim to win all of them.

4.) 30 Apr 2019 12:02:38
No I would take beating Newcastle Barcelona twice Brighton and Ajax/ spurs. And Leicester beating city. Nothing else!

5.) 30 Apr 2019 12:12:18
😂 Another wind up?

You’re not catching me out with that one 😛.

6.) 30 Apr 2019 12:37:52
Benny, I tend to agree with view point that city won’t drop any points, but I’ll be damned if I thought Liverpool should ease up the pressure on them. The only way they will drop points is if they’re under pressure, that’s the most that Liverpool can do and that aspect of the title race is in our own hands.

7.) 30 Apr 2019 13:33:46
Win 'em all, see what happens!

8.) 30 Apr 2019 13:39:02
I had to read this a few times, then I gave up.

9.) 30 Apr 2019 13:39:25
I would not give up hope on the title till it is mathematically impossible to win it.
Leicester are a decent team that have goals in them.
Spurs had quite a few chances to score in that recent league game and City was definitely edgy at the end.
I would like to see Vardy getting a few 1on1 like Son missed.
City are a great team, but they are not invincible.
We need that win at Newcastle to keep the pressure on.

10.) 30 Apr 2019 13:43:27
The sad thing is Ron, the lad is probably been serious mate.

11.) 30 Apr 2019 14:37:05
It’s a hypothetical question. Jesus Christ.

{Ed025's Note - everyone is getting a bit twitchy benny, if you say anything negative you are the devil incarnate and a traitor, its just squeaky bum syndrome mate so dont let it bother you..

12.) 30 Apr 2019 15:39:47
Benny. If the question was Champions League winners versus loss to Newcastle I think you’d see more compromise but for now it’s not sufficient collateral to give up the league for an appearance in Madrid.

13.) 30 Apr 2019 15:53:00
But we are going to win in Madrid.

Salah to score and Ox to get a winner’s medal.

14.) 30 Apr 2019 16:18:58
What's wrong with you, all of sudden, Benny? 😵.

15.) 30 Apr 2019 16:25:28
Is there a certain number of appearances required in the Champions league before you're eligible for a winners medal should your team win or will one appearance do?

{Ed002's Note - No, the full CL squad get a medal.}

16.) 30 Apr 2019 16:25:33
Ok well my answer would be a firm “not on your nelly”.

17.) 30 Apr 2019 16:42:28
Thanks Ed002.

18.) 30 Apr 2019 18:21:32
I'll take a 0-0 draw but only if Leicester beat City 0-14.

19.) 30 Apr 2019 19:36:21
I agree with benny. I would lose to newcastle if it meant we were guaranteed to make the ucl final. I say that because i don't see city losing. Its not over i know, but they have two fairly easy games. And if we were in the ucl final, we would batter ajax, or spurs perhaps.

But it was a hypothetical question of course. I want to win every game, i just think we have a better chance of winning the champions league.

And benny, if you're getting weird, i understand. i've been getting nose bleeds looking down to 3rd place, a trip to the nou camp with one of europes most exciting young teams, against who many believe to be the greatest team ever.

15 yrs ago eric meyer was skying shots into row z and our best available striker was titi camara (ill always have a soft spot for him) maybe more than 15 years. 5 years ago we had poulsan, jovanovic, cole konchesky.

Wow, things have changed.

20.) 30 Apr 2019 23:26:23
Nout wrong with me aray. Was just a hypothetical brain teaser. Robbie summed it up well.
Champions league is in our hands, the PL is not.
I have not stopped supporting Liverpool, just because I believe city will win 2 games. Obviously, and I can’t believe I’m even saying this, I want to win every game we play. Just don’t see city dropping points and apparently that makes me a terrible deluded fan 😂.

21.) 01 May 2019 01:22:39
Not deluded Benny, you just think differently to some on here and there's nothing wrong with that. I've always been a firm believer in 'everybody has their own opinions'.
What get's me though is you say it's just a 'hypothetical brain teaser' yet on the whatsapp group you clearly state this is what you want lol!

And then with your BS earlier, crying like a little girl over NOTHING on there. Getting riled up over a few words, wow. Call other people out? it's not as if I was the only person to say something on this thread but you won't do that will you because you're fake.

Please note Benny, before today I have had nothing but ultimate respect for you but I won't have you calling me out like that and then getting insulting on a bloody app, there's no need mate. Why not message me privately? or even give me a ring? control yourself, until you do, you will fail every single time, you've made yourself look like a teenage boy mate. I'd like to respect you but you've made it impossible.

Please continue. On here, private message or even a call :) this will of done your head in because it's so clear you can't handle when people disagree with you, disagree with me privately, but you seem to love an audience it seems! hahaha the only thing you fail to realise is how stupid you look doing so.

22.) 01 May 2019 06:34:39
O. K.

Getting back to the football.

I don’t see City dropping points either, why would they? They’re a far superior side to any of their remaining opponents and the league is their main focus having dropped out of the champions league.

But I still want LFC to make them WIN the league. Make them win 18 out of 19, make them get 98 points. If they do, then hats off to them 👏
I don’t want LFC to hand City the title by default because we want a night out in Madrid.
We owe it to the fans who pay their money and support the team to give it 100% until the last whistle is blown even if that means we lose all of our last 4 games.
If you want to become winners you have to have the right mentality. The right mentality has been displayed by Man City who have been going for 4 trophies and might end up with 3. You never accept a defeat until the final whistle, that is the mentality of champions!

23.) 01 May 2019 08:30:44
Hahahaha Benny. looked like you poked a hornet's nest of angst and twitchiness there, mate!

That said, I'm with you. I want a bloody trophy or a title. At this stage, I'll take one guaranteed over "hoping" for both. That way, I get to live another few months without my heart giving out.

24.) 01 May 2019 10:36:49
Salah the guy who makes up being injured 👍🏻.

25.) 01 May 2019 11:00:45
Benny, I would NEVER prefer that my team lose even a game of Scrabble.

26.) 01 May 2019 12:09:01
Flipping the question round a bit:

Would you take getting smashed in both legs by Barcelona to guarantee Man City get 2 draws in their last 2 league games?

I’d have to say “yes” I’m afraid.
It’s been too long without the league title.

27.) 01 May 2019 12:30:52
I’d take that option too Ron 🤘🏻.

28.) 02 May 2019 14:11:28
Come on guys I can take City winning 2 games and winning the league it will be disappointing but a great effort from us none the less.
What I would find difficult to stomach would be if we lost to Newcastle then City drew against Leicester. We have to go all out to win every game regardless of what we think the chances are. You just never know in football. Leicester got a draw at Anfield when no one gave them a prayer. Let’s just win our games and see how it plays out.

28 Apr 2019 15:48:18
Damn it. We didn't believe hard enough in Burnley. Let's all hope and believe super hard in Leicester.

benny baller

1.) 28 Apr 2019 15:57:44
Fair play to Burnley for at least digging in and making it tough for them. Leicester do though have much for of a threat going forward here’s praying for a Vardy party 🎉.

2.) 28 Apr 2019 16:00:23
I don't think there is any hope, City are just too good. : (.

3.) 28 Apr 2019 16:01:32
Is there a touch of sarcasm in that post Benny? 😉.

4.) 28 Apr 2019 16:02:40
In fairness, you have to score against City to get anything off them, and burnley just never looked like doing that.

5.) 28 Apr 2019 16:03:21
Why are you so happy Benny? What do you gain from such a sarcastic post? Go and join Harry on the City page.

6.) 28 Apr 2019 16:03:47
I’ll believe until the last ball is kicked. What will be will be but while there’s still a chance I’ll keep the faith.

7.) 28 Apr 2019 16:24:15
I still hold convincingly that this isn't the whole details in this season title story. Somehow (call me deluded) I still believe strongly that the wait is over. It could have easily ended 0-0 today but for a slice of luck for Aguero but whether LEI of BHA I don't know. Newcastle will be difficult and that should be our focus but so will Wolves. Although, I think we'll just manage a win in both and will get a favor somewhere. Nothing is impossible to them that believe guys. It will happen just believe!

8.) 28 Apr 2019 16:18:54
It's not over until it's over, we're going to win the league. I've said for weeks it'll be Leicester who will take points off them. Today's result is no surprise. City are trying bless them ;) but they'll be second in the end.

{Ed025's Note - i love your optimism salah..

9.) 28 Apr 2019 16:27:17
got to commend City, they put the fear into the opposition. watching a team literally stand there and let the ball roll to City's players and equally let them stroll into their box was frustrating. But that is what City do to you, and in the end it was just a fine margin that got City over the line, unbelievably fine margin!

It's 3am here, must be getting desperate getting up at this time to watch one team play football.!

10.) 28 Apr 2019 16:27:30
no wonder burnley rely on defense and long balls. Attacking wise they are worse than manu. Looks like Leicester will have the defence and attack to do man city in. I'd say there is an 80 percent chance for a draw. Brighton won't be able to handle city. So we have 2 tough games and city have 1 extra tough game. The title is still very much on but pretty much over if city win leicester.

11.) 28 Apr 2019 16:34:19
Glad you're back on here, Salah, mate. I too love your optimism. You've never faltered in your belief, though I wish I shared it. Fair play to you.

{Ed002's Note - I don’t think he left.}

12.) 28 Apr 2019 16:38:08
I agree Wise it is Leicester or game over.

13.) 28 Apr 2019 16:39:22
Leicester will get samahse.

14.) 28 Apr 2019 16:32:06
That's right Benny or Captain Obvious, you should be ashamed of yourself for not believing in Burnley, you need renewed belief for Leicester and Brighton. Sort it out son.

15.) 28 Apr 2019 16:47:46
Newcastle will be tough next week especially after the Barcelona game hopefully we find a way to win but with all the talk of Rogers helping us to win the title the irony could be Rafa ending our hopes.

16.) 28 Apr 2019 16:49:20
How about a 0-0 against BHA?

17.) 28 Apr 2019 16:54:22
You let us down Benny, basically you cost us the league through your lack of faith 😔.

18.) 28 Apr 2019 16:55:21
Good to see people revelling in a Man City victory.

What's more important than being right on the internet after all?

19.) 28 Apr 2019 17:00:38
Have to say I doubted city would drop points and I thought the league was done when they beat spurs. But after watching them today I’m wondering if a little bit of nerves are starting to kick in. I never thought Burnley would get anything from city but after today I have faith that Leicester can.
So I’m changing my mind and saying the league isn’t theirs just yet.

20.) 28 Apr 2019 17:16:32
Ashy.
City are progressively playing worse with every game. That much is true. I hope you're right about Leicester. Always thought Brendan was a top manager! 😁.

21.) 28 Apr 2019 17:28:21
It's not over till the trophy is given out, we now have 2 tough games and so do city. Anything can happen in football, current form says city will win it by 1 point. But they are not smashing teams now, very nervy today 4 CB on at the end. Come on red men.

22.) 28 Apr 2019 17:29:09
City ruined Rogers best season for us, his players are playing for their future under him, they can also claim 7th place and possible Europa for next season.

Leicester may lose, but they will be playing to win.

23.) 28 Apr 2019 17:29:30
Burnley, united and spurs were the hardest, I think its Leicester at home which means it'll be a cricket score!

24.) 28 Apr 2019 18:24:30
Have to say I enjoyed that one Benny😂 Some people just don’t get banter unfortunately 🙈.

25.) 29 Apr 2019 00:25:45
I must be missing something. Benny's post was no big deal. Or has much gone on that I'm not aware of with his posts lately?

26.) 29 Apr 2019 01:06:49
With 15 wins and 15 losses, that Leicester team plays to win, even if they lose while trying. They even have less draws than us. So if Rodgers can get his players motivated and get his "soak up the pressure, press them high on the pitch and hit them on the counter" tactic right, it could be an interesting game.

25 Apr 2019 16:48:14
Hi guys, not everyone's favourite poster at the moment, but was wondering if you could sign my petition to revoke Paul Pogba from the team of the year, and be replaced by the people's vote, Danny Drinkwater. Thanks.

benny baller petition

benny baller

1.) 25 Apr 2019 17:18:37
Maybe you'd be more sympathetic towards Pogba if he threw money at restaurant waiters, seems to be quite a lot of hate on this page because he likes to sing and dance. Only if he made hard working people grovel for their tips like a certain No.8.

2.) 25 Apr 2019 17:38:33
I’ve signed just for of it.

Danny Drinkwater?

3.) 25 Apr 2019 18:05:26
Haha legend mate, do you not think it’s funnier that he stays on the team of the year?

4.) 25 Apr 2019 18:08:59
Also tried to sign but its United Kingdom only, anyway best of luck with it mate.

5.) 25 Apr 2019 18:09:04
Swap drink water for hendo benny.

6.) 25 Apr 2019 18:17:29
Scholes mate, what are you on about? There is NO hate for Pogba on these boards or at least, I have not seen that much. Pogba did not deserve to be in the PFA team of the year. That much is true esp. after watching him stroll all over the pitch last night without a care in the world, leaving Fred all by himself to carry the load. I mean, I'm not even sure what this guy is actually good at. He has some talent BUT his approach and attitude is reprehensible and it does not matter how good he is/ could be, his wretched attitude will ALWAYS hold him back.

Fact of the matter is that very few people on this forum, is arsed that much about Pogba cos he is NOT our problem and will NEVER come anywhere near Anfield, He is strictly your problem and judging by the complete and utter dross he served up in the last two games, good luck offloading him to some sucker who will pay what you want for him cos clearly, he does not want to be at OT anymore. Cheers, man.

{Ed002's Note - It seems that Pogba's peers don't agree with you and voted him in. This constant whining about trivia will all soon just be dumped.}

7.) 25 Apr 2019 18:36:19
If I was a united fan I would want Pogba first out the door in the summer, I think he’s a toxic element that a club like United should never have in the team. Talented yes, when he shows up anyway, but highly toxic.
They should get a good price for him so sell him and use the money and quite a bit extra to build a squad around the players who are either talented, loyal or young.

8.) 25 Apr 2019 19:47:43
I hope that Pogba stays at United for many years.

9.) 25 Apr 2019 20:03:47
Honestly, who REALLY cares about some nebulous concept like the PFA team of the year? 😂

There’s a big wide world out there 👍.

10.) 25 Apr 2019 20:31:15
the players voted him in. maybe you should petition for a CPA (couch potato association) to be established so fans can have their rights and views represented.

11.) 25 Apr 2019 20:42:21
I would have taken Pogba off after 45 mins last night. I think 45 mins was enough time to prove if he wanted to stay with the club. And am amazed that ole left him on! Just watching him not run or chase back or even look like he was bothered in the slightest in such a massive game actually shocked me. I would never want him anywhere hear my team again if I was a Manc.

12.) 25 Apr 2019 21:31:01
Jesus lads was just a joke 😂.

13.) 26 Apr 2019 00:19:24
posted to the facebook page haha someone is going all in on this!

14.) 26 Apr 2019 04:51:28
Dear Ed
when u talk about Pogba peers
do you mean the player with the same sponsorship?
Just curious.

{Ed001's Note - he means other players.}

22 Apr 2019 16:56:35
I read something today, and too lazy to look into it if true. But apparently Cardiff had no balls boys or something yesterday for delay tactics and to break up our rhythm. It's quite clever. My question is nothing to do with that, but more what's your guys experience to gain an edge in football or another sport?
I remember my old manager used to make toast for the away teams pre match meals, as he believed it clog them up and slow them down.

benny baller

1.) 22 Apr 2019 18:17:07
I heard something to that affect on the tv commentary Benny.

2.) 22 Apr 2019 18:21:23
I don't have any stories to tell but do have questions.

Is none of this stuff mandated? Like the ball boy, or the watering of pitches? I heard Colin kept the pitch dry to try and stifle us. All these tactics seem petty and unsportsman like. I understand lower divisions might have money issues but surely the premier league can have standards?

3.) 22 Apr 2019 18:22:20
Just the usual. Tiying shoe laces, being more than stupid about where a throw in or free kick should be taken from to get pushed back 10 yards, standing on the ball. I also remember when we used to play on one pitch in particular we used to get encouraged to hit the ball as far out as possible if putting it in to touch for a throw in as one side of the pitch was the sea and the other a road (considering this was low level football as you can imagine they only had about 2 or 3 match balls) . I do once also remember playing against a team who would chip the ball at goalkicks to his defenders and they would head it back to him. We actually caught them out twice doing it, you kinda think back that they should have learnt.

4.) 22 Apr 2019 18:34:04
Didn't we only clear the snow in the box we were attacking earlier in the year.

5.) 22 Apr 2019 19:00:04
Your manager used to make a meal for the away team? Random.

6.) 22 Apr 2019 19:05:41
I hear that Jarrell "Big Pharma" Miller knows how to gain an advantage.

7.) 22 Apr 2019 19:48:10
I was a ball boy at Blackpool and you were given instructions to take your time if Blackpool were winning and be as quick as possible if losing. Pretty standard I suppose given the tactics the teams use.

Cheers.

8.) 22 Apr 2019 20:46:06
That’s right natural. Early morning kick offs, so was seen as a nice gesture for breakfast instead of a devilish plan. Thanks for your input though 😚.

9.) 22 Apr 2019 22:36:48
On the Cardiff note, did you notice the state of the pitch? How dry and rough it looked we coudnt place a single straight pass the ball was fumbling all over the place.

10.) 23 Apr 2019 00:23:13
It’s their pitch they can do with what they want surely? Don’t Barcelona make theirs as wide and long as possible to make more space? And didn’t stoke make theirs narrow for delap? Can’t say either are wrong.

11.) 23 Apr 2019 09:13:39
Did the devilish plan seem to work Benny?

12.) 23 Apr 2019 10:21:02
Few cups and leagues mate. But even if it didn’t, it can also be a psychological advantage to us, believing we are going to be that 1 or 2 yards quicker.
Not as effect as instanbuls kicking it in to the sea though, that’s class 😂.

13.) 23 Apr 2019 12:47:16
My manager used to switch off the away teams hearing in their dressing room during winter, saying it'll keep their limbs stiff.

14.) 23 Apr 2019 13:58:07
Love that stuie.

15.) 23 Apr 2019 14:57:44
He played that one wrong stuie, would have been better to put the heating on max for the away dressing room and then they’d freeze when they get outside 😉.

16.) 23 Apr 2019 18:39:55
I also meant heating! Though turning off their hearing would add weight to the "didn't hear the whistle" argument.

Glad we are looking at Ramsey tbh. Good player, adds strength In depth. Of course he would want first team action regularly, which will probably put an end to a deal being possible.
Hopefully he sees how our midfield 3 keep rotating this year and he bites.
Milner and Lallana can’t go on forever, unfortunately!
