We have decided to change the Teams page to be the Liverpool Match Posts page, so look for posts talking about the latest Liverpool match there.

But most of the posts still go to the Liverpool Banter page.

Also more posts are being added to the Liverpool Discussion Posts and the More Liverpool Posts pages.

I believe 15 more wins from our remaining 22 league fixtures would win us the title. I've come to this conclusion assuming Leicester have a 15 game run identical to their current record this season putting them on 70 points, I guessed a fair average for the remaining 8 games of their season if they achieved their identical record would be another 20 points, just over 2 points per game.

Thus leaving us needing 91 points for the title. We currently have 46 from 16 games meaning a further 15 wins puts us on a minimum of 91 points and more importantly leaving 7 fixtures in which a slip up or 4 wouldn't impact our chances at all only narrow the margin of victory. Of course we play Leicester still and the result of that game will play no significance as long as they lose and draw in 2 other of their next 15 fixtures (highly likely) .

In short this team, this squad, this manager have such a high probability of winning the title from this position we may as well start to plan our tattoos now. Let's imagine we lose at WHL, Goodison and the emptihad. That still leaves 4 games in which we can lose and still reach 91 points draw a couple and it's 93+. Basically I expect Leicester to drop off but I've planned for them not to.

I expect City to keep bumbling along as they are they do not look capable of winning 5 of the spin atm let alone the next 20 and every game that goes bye they need to add another win on the end of it to keep pace. From this point its a 2 horse race and one horse has a big advantage in every single department of a football club on and off the pitch. This is finally our year doubters to believers.

Have you informed klopp of your findings? They might stay out in Qatar for a few more weeks when they realise they've already won the league.

The title is not won until it is mathematically impossible to lose. There is no point getting ahead of ourselves. We need to take it one game at a time.

These were the exact same posts that were on this site around Christmas last year and look what happened! One particular poster spent all of last season claiming the title was won and now he doesn’t post as frequently because he was so embarrassed! There is a big game to win Tuesday night so focus needs to be on that and forget about the league for now.

Klopp would lose his sheep if he read something like this for sure! As Lamborini said one game at a time has got us to this position. And let's keep that mentality.

I think you need to get out a bit more Jezza.

It’s not just the EPL we are after.

We need to retain our title of Champions of Europe.

One game at a time.

Maintain the intensity and let’s see where it takes us.

Let's hope you're right Jezza mate. Let's win the next 15 games, wrap up the title in March, then concentrate on the CL and the FA cup!

The Wombats exactly right the poster in question is never right and shot his mouth off on a daily basis. We should all take nothing for granted and take each game as they come.

But it is great to be supporting such a quality side led by a great manager.

Let’s not discount Man City just yet. They are more than capable of winning every last game of this season.

Far too early to start believing, yes it’s ours to lose and we are strong favourites but let’s see how the squad gets through the next few months first, we will need to rotate, first signs of this rotation has been positive but a couple of loses and panic could set in so I’m not getting that tattoo just yet.

Leicester will also have to utilise their squad in the coming months and they are currently very reliant on a couple of players so we will see how they get on with that.

Man City like I said above are more than capable of pulling it together and winning every last game so no way can they be ruled out yet.

Chelsea have a very outside chance but I can’t see them leapfrogging all 3 teams.

If I was a betting man I would bet on us to win the league but I wouldn’t put the house on it.

My response to Jezza Kyle and others is:
RB Salzburg tomorrow!
That should be our one and only focus at the moment, not 91 points and record breaking season. You have no idea what would happen to this squad and team morale if that game in Salzburg don't go well. So, I'd stay away from any permutations and let's qualify for the next round of the Champions league first.

I agree Noski. I'm a little worried about tomorrow to be honest.

nothing at all comes easy in the best league in the world. never ever ever ever take anything for granted. the last time we put man city in a position where they had to win out, they did. 99 points was a historically great total last year, and all it got us was to be used a question in the next edition of Trivial Pursuit!

Ed2 Klopp has said we might get a striker in Jan if Brewster goes on loan. My question is about Gabriel Barbosa. I know he struggled in Italy hence current loan but he has a good goals record in South America recently and said he'd like to join Liverpool. How good is he in your opinion and could he join us?

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - There would be a serious concern about how he would settle and Liverpool have shown no interest in him.}

07 Dec 2019 09:48:54
I’d like to join Liverpool also.

Ed002, I was just going to ask about Gabigol, but I see you already addressed that. How about this young Brazilian striker, Evanilson? I read he might be an option for Liverpool, and that his contract at Fluminese will expire in a few months, and they are desperate to sell because of their financial situation. I have no idea how true any of this is. Mind commenting on this, Ed?

Agree0 0Disagree

{Ed002's Note - I know nothing of him I am afraid. Has he played for the first team? He could not become HG so it makes little sense.}

Hey Eds, what's the deal with Allan Rodrigues de Souza? is he likely to move on due to work permit issues?

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - There seems to be no plan for him at Liverpool - as you say he has Work Permit issues.}

06 Dec 2019 19:07:27
Has Ovie been sold to Reading Ed?

Believable1 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - Reading are very pleased with him and plan to take up their option to buy him.}

Ed I’m hearing stories like Nike like a big player or sumthn like that playing for a Nike sponsored team is this b#%#%# or what hence the Mbappe rumours etc I think it’s nonsense like to hear your views 👍🏼.

{Ed002's Note - It is nonsense.}

All of our team are "big players". At least four were on the balloon d'Or list!

There's a few clubs in Malaysia wearing Nike kits, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe Mbappe will end up in one of these clubs, maybe.

We have number 7 also, 4 of the top 7, 6 of the top 17 players in the world play for us.

{Ed025's Note - that may be a bit of an exaggeration GG..

07 Dec 2019 11:13:03
If I'm not mistaken we had 7 players in the top 20 in the world Gini, Trent and Bobby were also in there.

Hi Ed001 and Ed002,

Firstly, Merry Christmas to you and all the Eds that give their time to running the site. A site that has been the difference between madness and sanity for many of us, lol. I (and I'm sure everyone else) hope you have a fantastic Holiday Season.

Now, onto my question. Are we looking at Dejan Kulusevski?

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - Dejan Kulusevski (AM) has been watched by a number of sides including Inter (who have already approached Atalanta but don't want the player for 18 months) Arsenal, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester United and Firentina and no doubt others.}

04 Dec 2019 09:23:02
Goodmornings Eds and Reds. Eds are we interested in Lyon's wonderkid Rayan Cherki? There seems to be reports linkings us with a transfer along with Real Madrid and Man City.

Believable0 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - Plenty of scouts have been watching the Lyon second eleven because of Rayan Cherki and there is a convoluted offer on the table from one of the sides. But he is only 16 and unless a route through the remainder of his education, and in to a first team squad can be established moving to England makes no sense.}

04 Dec 2019 14:40:08
Thanks Ed002.

Hello Eds!
How's the Bruno Fernandez situation at the moment? Is he still on the cards for Liverpool or he is off to somewhere else? Thank you!

Believable1 0Unbelievable

{Ed002's Note - Right now he will stay where he is unless someone pays well over the odds for him.}

04 Dec 2019 11:45:55
He has recently signed a new contract which increased his release clause to 80m. Think we should be looking elsewhere.
