Seeing reports claiming liverpool are preparing a summer bid for Archie gray from Leeds.
I don’t know him, but is there any truth to it Ed’s? Thanks a lot.

Fabinhos hair

{Ed002's Note - Archie Gray (DM/CM/RB) Leeds kiddie having an excellent season in the Championship and showing versatility. Will not be for sale but Leeds have noted Crystal Palace have enquired. I am not aware of Liverpool declaring an interest.}

1.) 10 Nov 2023 15:38:16
Cheers Ed, have a good day.

{Ed002's Note - And you.}

2.) 12 Nov 2023 17:39:30
Hopefully not it will just be another Harvey Elliot signing.

3.) 12 Nov 2023 21:56:50
Jaydee…. Harvey cost us around £4M if I’m not mistaken. You show me where we can buy players who get in the first team for less than that! Great business and home grown also. We already have had our money’s worth from Elliot and hopefully he keeps on improving. If the Leeds lad is “just another Harvey Elliot signing” then I’m all for it.
Guess the ynwa at the end of your name doesn’t apply to young Lfc players who give everything to the club and who are actually life long fans also.

4.) 13 Nov 2023 07:35:26
Elliott has done well for us so far. Always room for improvement. I think people thought he was going to be a new Rooney.
Nevertheless, he did well and then got a bad injury. Think he lost confidence after that, but he's definitely getting back to being a decent player.

5.) 13 Nov 2023 08:28:01
Oh no, not another 20 year old playing well for us.

6.) 13 Nov 2023 10:05:09
For those of you who read the Girl in the Box series by Robert J Crane - I can't read the players name without wanting to add '1819' to the end of his name!

7.) 13 Nov 2023 17:27:58
Another telly clapper they clearly hasn’t watched him play.

8.) 14 Nov 2023 00:12:05
Elliott is a good little player but he really struggles with the defensive side of the game.

Shanks would have him eating nothing but steak and bulking up in the gym twice a day! I think he still has the body of a kid at the moment but if he does manage to improve his strength as he matures we could have a real top player on our hands.

9.) 14 Nov 2023 03:40:28
If we got Archie Grey for a similar sum as Elliot and he breaks into our team then it would be a steal. Anything less than 10mill is a bargain in todays market.

Regarding Elliots growth - he does seem to have improved his speed, he is looking less like a corgi with boots nowadays. Tracking back much better.

10.) 14 Nov 2023 06:21:08
@Jaydee - what’s a ‘Harvey Elliot signing’? Didn’t he captain his country’s U-21 team recently. Some people who are qualified coaches at elite club and country level seem to think he can play. People do tend to say it’s all about opinions I suppose.

11.) 15 Nov 2023 06:30:36
@phil, the figure being mentioned is £40m. Not quite a steel for a 17 year old.

12.) 20 Nov 2023 07:59:10
Admittedly I could of phrased my comment better however it’s clear that many seem to be buying the same rose tinted glasses from the same shop
While also suffering from blind loyalty very similar to JK’s condition.
Elliot when we bought him was a top bracket championship level player very similar to carvalho, one of which one has been shipped out on loan the other remains and while he has had a good few decent performances hasn’t improved much more than that, he’s absolutely nowhere near the starting 11 when the squads fit and will never be more than a Decent squad player, when was the last time we poached from the championship and bought a teenager that now competes in the first team, if we want to compete we need to be buying players that improve the first 11 and trust the youth teams to bring through the next generation which seems to be working out ok.

Good morning Ed’s, any chance we could be interested in Psv right winger Johan bakoyoko? Thank you.

Fabinhos hair

{Ed002's Note - Johan Bakayoko (RW) Cost effective solution for PSG but may stuggle to be a starter and that will put the player off. Napoli and Burnley have expressed an interest. If Liverpool are interested it would be as a replacement for Salah.}

1.) 17 Aug 2023 11:17:42
I've seen stories linking us. Maybe we loan him back for a year and sell Salah to the Saudis next season?

14 Aug 2023 12:10:51
Hi Ed’s was just wondering if manu kone is being considered as an option?

Fabinhos hair

{Ed002's Note - He is injured right now and it would be nepotism which will alienate their DoF from the supporters. Seems unlikely.}

1.) 14 Aug 2023 12:32:38
Nepotism! Lol.

Great strike from Nunez against bournemouth.
He seems to be kicking on and his overall play has improved vastly, how good do you think he can become for us Ed001?

Fabinhos hair

{Ed001's Note - he needs to become more clinical, then he can be something incredible.}

1.) 02 Nov 2023 11:42:41
I personally think him unlocking his potential is the key to replacing Salah’s number when he eventually leaves.

Can be so frustrating sometimes but love him as a player!

2.) 02 Nov 2023 12:17:41
Nunez reminds me of Torres but without the consistency. he's fast, powerful, has great awareness, and makes superb runs. He misses a few but he's in the right position to get goal chances so, as Ed said, he just needs to be more clinical. The only player at the club ahead of him in goals this year is Salah (another player who misses plenty of chances and scores plenty of chances) . The ceiling for Nunez is high. I really believe he will go on to be an equal to Torres.

{Ed001's Note - if he can stay fit and avoid the injuries Torres had, I think he can surpass him. Torres only really managed one full season for us and then it was all fits and starts between injury spells. Nunez is good enough to be his equal and works harder, which should be enough to make him even better, hopefully.}

3.) 02 Nov 2023 13:04:48
At 24 he’s still a few years off his peak and he’s working under arguably the best coach in the world.
You can see the lad has all everything to become world class and I expect he will probably get there.
Inconsistency is his weakness right now but that should get ironed out, in the mean time he’s an absolute joy to watch, pure chaos and makes you love watching football.

4.) 02 Nov 2023 13:10:07
None of what Darwin is doing now is a surprise to those of us whobelieved in him from jump. The goal he scored yesterday was nothing new. If anyone watched Darwin at Benfica (I didn't apart of goal compilations), would tell you that the banger he scored last night, was a vintage Darwin Nunez goal he scored for fun in Portugal. Drifting from the left and banging it top bin, s is literally what he does.

Like Ed said as long as he can stay fit and keep improving in all facets of the game, there is no limits to the levels he can reach. In terms of modern CF ability and qualities, the kid has it all, IMO.

5.) 02 Nov 2023 14:13:00
Even if he wastes chances i've been pleased to see just how many more we create when he is on. Also a goal or assist every 60 minutes this season is not too shabby.

{Ed001's Note - he is so much fun to watch play. He brings enjoyment back to footie.}

6.) 02 Nov 2023 14:37:59
Agree with that ed, everyone else play like robots, he's a bit different.

7.) 02 Nov 2023 15:28:36
Ed01, If you are not excited to watch Darwin play as an LFC fan then literally, I have no ideal what you want.

{Ed001's Note - he is awesome.}

8.) 02 Nov 2023 18:22:26
I love him. Were blessed with such excitement and talent.
Nunez, Gakpo, Szobo etc. can’t wait for the next game!

9.) 02 Nov 2023 19:02:22
LiverpoolFC8, those guys have brought the joy and excitement back the way Mo, Bobbie and Sadio used to do in our pump. I could not wait to watch us play just to see what they would do. Same here. I can't wait to see what Gakpo, Elliott, Trent, Diaz, Szobo, Macca and of course Darwin will do now. Im loving it, man.

He's only young. Just unfortunately, subconsciously, he will always been compared to haaland in this league. Which isn't the bench mark for great players. He's elite. Generational.

There's always 5 or so players behind the number 1. Who are also exceptional.

I see that with nunez. For us if he continues with performances and adds 20 goals a season to his game, then its all rosy.

His success isn't winning a battle for domination with haaland.

It's becoming a regular contributor and guarantee of goals before the season starts. We already start with 30 from mo. A champions league team hits a gf of about 70 a season.

Gakpos the same. Diaz. Jota.

Nunez is number 9 now and unless injured. Give him the next 15 games. Just play him now.

Choose between gakpo and Luiz on the left.

12.) 03 Nov 2023 16:21:49
I don’t compare Nunez with Haaland at all. They play in the same position could not be more different as players.

Haaland is anonymous for the vast majority of games but is always there to take the chances. He’s scoring loads of goals because most teams allow City to create loads of chances. Generational talent? He’s certainly a good goal scorer but he needs to play in a team that will feed him plenty of chances or he’s useless.

Nunez gets much more involved in games and is a much better footballer than Haaland. He’s nowhere near as clinical and he probably never will be (not many will) but if he improves his finishing just a little he will be some player. Call me biased but I’d much rather have a player like Nunez who gets you off your seat than a goal hanger that’s not involved in games until the ball is in the box.

{Ed025's Note - i will certainly call you biased BP, along with jealous and kidding yourself, haaland is excellent mate whereas even though i like Nunez he is very hit and miss, them red tinted glasses need to go back to Specsavers im afraid because they seem to have clouded your judgement..

Do you expect us to extend Musialowski’s deal, ed?

Fabinhos hair

{Ed002's Note - I have no knowledge of contracts but would expect Liverpool will want to keep him.}
