Fabrizio, just put out de Paul only 35 million euros to atletico, weren't we quoted upwards of 45?

Jamesred93

1.) 24 Jun 2021 00:09:12
We annoyed the owners of Udinese and Watford. So the owner will have two prices. Any everyone else price and an FSG price. Which is £10m more and everything up front.

09 Jun 2021 19:44:57
Have we shown any interest in fabio vieira?

Jamesred93

{Ed002's Note - Fabio Vieira (AM/RM/CM) an ex Arsenal player recommended FV who would likely be open to a move if Arsenal were to find the required €30M.}

23 May 2021 08:48:31
Eds, any teams looking at oblak think he is easily in top keepers, would be great to have Ali, ederson and oblak in premier league.

Jamesred93

{Ed002's Note - Atletico don't want to sell but there will be interest from a couple of sides if he becomes available - but certainly not Liverpool.}

1.) 23 May 2021 10:48:04
Why would we be. We have the best goalkeeper in the world. He scores when he wants.

2.) 23 May 2021 13:29:09
Didn't we try to sign him before we got Alisson?

3.) 23 May 2021 14:16:16
Oblack was 1st choice if memory serves.

02 Feb 2021 18:40:05
Can taki play for Southampton tonight would love for him to score the winner against utd.

Jamesred93

{Ed025's Note - i dont think so mate..

1.) 02 Feb 2021 20:37:23
I don’t think even Maradona would help Southampton tonight, United have their 12th man paying for them, Mike Dean.

2.) 02 Feb 2021 20:47:32
That foul was horrendous, a definite red card. What an idiot, doing that so early in the game.

3.) 02 Feb 2021 21:02:46
It was clumsy, but it wasn’t intentional and he didn’t do him anywhere near as badly as Pickford did van Dijk, the contact certainly wasn’t as bad as was being made out by McTominay. Yellow card, definitely, but red? Only if you’re playing against United. Tad harsh of you ask me.

4.) 02 Feb 2021 21:04:07
Shocking tackle could end up 10 nil.

5.) 02 Feb 2021 22:03:23
I saw the red before the tackle and thought typical dodgy refereeing. Then I saw the challenge. That was a nasty tackle.

6.) 03 Feb 2021 02:43:18
6Times

Are you for reals? Just because you didn't get a decision in your favour doesn't mean the whole world is against you. Even when Liverpool isn't playing.

SOUR GRAPES

It just makes opposition fans dislike you lots even more. Make take your red tinted glasses off, at least when Liverpool isn't playing!
Also it's been months after that Everton game, maybe it's time you move on?

7.) 03 Feb 2021 09:08:04
Deependra is right 6Times. Move on from the VVD tackle. The refs have admitted they got it wrong now. It’s just unfortunate. It’s a strange old season. Mike Dean or no Mike Dean it’s a red. Concentrate on supporting our team and as I always say, let’s not give the refs any decisions to make, by scoring more than the opposition. Onwards. Brighton we’re coming for you.

8.) 03 Feb 2021 11:11:13
Well said Jimble.

9.) 03 Feb 2021 11:48:12
It was a red clear. You don't have to lose a body part for it to be a red card.

10.) 03 Feb 2021 14:56:43
I watched the tackle a couple times. A red seemed harsh, but it is what it is. He was a bit out of control, but the intent to injure didn't seem to be there at all. I think this is a great example where the referee has the power to use his judgment to "balance out the game. " Take a breath, see the aftermath, and if United is left at a disadvantage due to injury then show the red. I know I'll get jumped on by those who don't like the punishment to be dictated by the impact of the foul, but I think that's one of the main reasons why we have referees, to use their own judgment to help manage the flow of the game.

As for what this has to do with Liverpool, it has nothing to do with Liverpool or Pickford or anything like that. Trying to make it about this just makes one sound like a sore loser. If we want to keep the game somewhat pure in the age of VAR, and leave in things that keep the element of drama in the game, well this is exactly one of those things that makes football interesting, even if it is incredibly frustrating at the same time. These are the things we just need to let go and accept and move on from. It's all "part of the game. "

Any truth in the offer for alaba in the summer?

Jamesred93

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but the asking price Bayern Munich won't meet is €400k per week.}

1.) 06 Jan 2021 19:57:40
The rumour is we have offered alaba 10m a year for three years.

2.) 06 Jan 2021 20:02:47
That’s a hefty wage!

3.) 06 Jan 2021 19:43:04
It would need to be nett of tax.}

4.) 06 Jan 2021 19:48:24
I think then we have our answer right there Ed. A non starter.

5.) 06 Jan 2021 20:55:32
Is that what he is asking for?
That's ridiculous, get garay in for 6 months for free.

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

6.) 07 Jan 2021 00:07:17
Do you think anyone will be foolish enough to pay it, Ed?

7.) 07 Jan 2021 07:33:31
6Times. He's probably Real Madrid bound.

8.) 07 Jan 2021 09:06:41
PSG wages then.

9.) 06 Jan 2021 19:43:57
David Alaba (CB/LB) - Bayern Munich would like David Alaba to sign a new contract but have ended up in a rather ugly stalemate and accept he will run down his contract and leave in the summer. They say there have been no approaches to take him in January. Pini is assisting in sorting out his future and has spoken with the few clubs that are able to afford the player. Juventus have been in talks over a pre-contract for several months and can now speak directly with the player. Real Madrid would struggle with the wages but is the preferred option for the player and remains the most likely destination if a deal can be sorted out for the summer. PSG and Chelsea and possibly Barcelona have been approached but perhaps only to gain leverage. Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have enquired about the costs that would be involved - and the wages sought are huge and would be a problem for the clubs.

10.) 07 Jan 2021 14:08:03
Thanks for all the info, ed, very much appreciated. Alaba is obviously a very good player and I'd be incredibly excited if he was to land in Liverpool. But as you've said, the wages he wants are astronomical and I'm really not sure he's worth that much money, especially considering we're already a bit cash strapped due to the C.V..

11.) 08 Jan 2021 23:21:28
There’s no way we’ll meet those demands. That’s a ridiculous demand and would cause massive problems for us with the players we have and their future demands. The league title this year is not worth disrupting the squad.

23 May 2021 22:27:49
Zaha saying he wouldn't reject a big move, he did nothing in that game to even suggest any top team should be after him, might help West ham in Europa next season. So much talent but very lazy and wasteful.

Jamesred93

1.) 24 May 2021 05:58:37
So much attitude. Every time he's fouled, he takes it like the crime of the century and immediately seeks confrontation. He had the opportunity of a lifetime at ManU. Wasn't good enough, didn't try hard enough.

22 May 2021 17:50:59
Anyone follow Spanish football seems like real and athletico don't want the title.

Jamesred93

1.) 22 May 2021 18:59:33
Suarez goal wins Athletico the league with his 21st goal of the season.

2.) 22 May 2021 19:02:06
Atletico paid 6 million to win la liga title. Bargain of all time!

3.) 22 May 2021 19:26:09
"Barcelona didn't value me. they underestimated me and Atletico opened their doors to give me an opportunity. I will always be grateful to this club for trusting in me. "

Biting comment. Really sunk his teeth into Barcelona with it.

4.) 22 May 2021 19:35:43
Regardless of his misdemeanors Luis has been one hell of a player.

5.) 22 May 2021 20:05:54
Brilliant player. The season where he got 34 league goals and no penalties, awesome.

6.) 22 May 2021 20:21:50
Brilliant player, absolute piece of rubbish han being.

7.) 22 May 2021 22:05:18
That's the thing with some of these top level athletes. There's always this one accompanying flaw that is almost fatal sometimes. Suarez's has always been a severely diminished moral compass. But one hell of a footballer.

8.) 22 May 2021 23:53:33
Suarez would do absolutely anything to win. I think he wants to win so badly that he can’t control himself on the pitch, or off it (Ghana missed penalty) . Roy Keane was the same. His legacy is permanently tainted because of it and Chewy Luis will probably be the same. But do guys like them care about that? I think deep down they do but they would never admit it.

9.) 23 May 2021 00:12:14
Suarez a hell of a player. Goes about football in a disgusting manner at times with his biting and the way he forces moves with this behaviour. But I've never read a negative thing about him away from football. Which is a lot more than can be said for many footballers that don't recieve half the abuse that Suarez does. Rooney shagging a granny Giggs shagginb his sister in law hitting women (allegedly) Terry. Gazza Best sure there's an endless list but these are all heroes to many and for me their behaviour is far worse than anything Suarez has ever done.

{Ed0666's Note - Nothing wrong with shagging grannies Ibiza. My wife’s a granny that makes me a granny shagger (on sundays😂). By the way when is Ibiza opening up again mate any news?

10.) 23 May 2021 03:26:34
unfortunately we have nore access to plauers thanever before and every time they fart now has to have a press relase, long gone are the old days where we just celebrated a player for skill and commtment to a cause, we now have to know all their prep from crissing themselves 6 times before kick off, to if they had theri end away 3 weeks prior to a match Let us not drop into the masses as we as LFC fans have awlays prided ourselves on a better knowledge than most about players etc, let us celebrate our wins as much as we lament our losses.

11.) 23 May 2021 08:34:56
Barca clearly pissed off the wrong guy.

12.) 23 May 2021 08:36:36
As for ibiza I'm actually in uk and have been since october. Having lived out there for 12 years I was first year self employed when all this rubbish started so coukdnt get any government help out there (for anyone who feels UK government have been crap in this C.V. Spain have been far far worse) . So anyway waiting on uk to at least put spain on green list before I go back to open up. But many places have started to open now or in next month as they have been getting plenty of tourists from Germany, France, Holland etc.

20 May 2021 09:04:53
Good to see Steven gerrard inducted into the hall of fame. Easily the best midfielder of his generation.

Jamesred93

1.) 20 May 2021 10:01:32
By far as well, don’t even understand the debate. He is the most complete midfielder potentially in premier league history in his prime. Could do it all.

19 May 2021 18:43:19
We need to win and win big next two games we cannot rely on Tottenham.

Jamesred93

1.) 19 May 2021 19:01:05
To be fair, not even Spurs fans rely on Tottenham.

2.) 19 May 2021 19:11:47
Can't see spurs doing anything against Leicester.

3.) 19 May 2021 20:06:38
Let’s not forget that Leicester have been a shambles for a while now, losing a lot of games and the pressure on that final fixture could be huge if we win tonight. They only beat a second almost third string Utd.

4.) 19 May 2021 20:07:09
I’ve been saying this for weeks now, some people think spurs have it in them to win even if they tried and had something to play for, I couldn’t see them winning. This was always how it was going to be, we needed a Chelsea loss yday to give ourselves leeway. Two wins and we are in, so it’s on us, which doesn’t fill me with confidence.

18 May 2021 11:06:56
A Leicester win or a draw is what we need tonight.
I'm not confident on Tottenham doing Leicester last day of the season, especially with kane wanting to leave.
So will come down to goal difference if we win both and leicester beat Tottenham.
I know it ultimately depends on us doing the job next two games but I'm hoping rodgers does us a favour.

Jamesred93

1.) 18 May 2021 12:11:54
Kane is after the golden boot he will want to score as many as possible. I’m backing 2 Leicester defeats.

2.) 18 May 2021 12:22:56
I'm more worried abt us finishing the job then Leicester, Chelsea or spurs game's.

Make no mistake Kane wanting to leave will have no bearing when they play Leicester.

Players and board will have known long-time now abt him wanting to leave end of the season, it's not just yesterday.

3.) 18 May 2021 12:37:22
Spurs might have a Europa League spot to play for, so you never know.

4.) 18 May 2021 13:28:51
Chelsea leicester draw and then they both loose on last day.

5.) 18 May 2021 13:51:19
Spot on, Kopforever.

6.) 18 May 2021 14:31:16
I think I would go for a Leicester win tonight as the best result. I know we're trying to work out how we might get to finish third but thinking about the most direct route to simply qualifying for the Champions League - and also not being entirely confident that we'll beat Burnley away - a Leicester win is the one result that would allow us to go into fourth place tomorrow night even with a draw. If Chelsea lose and we win, then we'd be ahead either on GD (if Chelsea lose by more than one goal), or goals scored (if Chelsea lose by one goal) . Then against Palace on Saturday we'd need to equal or better whatever Chelsea do at Villa.

7.) 18 May 2021 16:14:48
Chelsea will win tonight and I can see Spurs getting something at Leicester on the final day.
I can't think about our fixtures apart from a nagging worry that we'll miss Jota. Firmino and Mane are not doing enough.

8.) 18 May 2021 19:44:00
3-0 Leicester win then we can afford to draw one game and still get top 4 on goal difference.

Random question, why is a foul on the line a penalty but if you shoot and hit any bar it's not a shot on target?

Is it a good signing? When AFCON happens that'll be,
Salah
Mane
Keita
Mandi.
That's probably 3 starters and and 4th/ 3rd choice C/ B missing.
White makes more sense from a H/ G point of view, obviously if we can ship out matip.
4 cb's we could probably be able to have.
Vvd
Gomez
White
Phillips.

Playing out of position as LWB, with gunter as cover will not help anyone and to have chiesa and bernadeschi running at you for the 85 mins he was on, in all honesty I thought he did well.
Chiesa looks a real talent. EDS have juve signed him or is he going back to fiorentina.

Jamesred93

{Ed001's Note - what do you mean? He is a Juve player who was on loan to Fiorentina. They paid £9m just to loan him.}

What happens if Chelsea win the Champions League, but finish outside top four? Chelsea would still automatically qualify for next season's Champions League as tournament winners, and England would have five teams competing. Whoever finishes fourth in the Premier League would not drop down to the Europa League
This is what happens.
