Hi eds, just seen a few reports Liverpool have sent representatives to talk to benfica about a possible deal for William carvalho, I find this hard to believe myself, just wondering if there's any truth to this, thanks

{Ed002's Note - William Carvalho has been looked at by Liverpool so there is the chance that something can be done.}

Are they asking benfica what they think of him port red, because I thought he played for sporting😂😂😂

Hey ed01, tried the search but nothing new I know it only a few days but is there any news on sturridges injury, is it still comcidered minor? Or is it more serious, thanks.

{Ed001's Note - they are always very cautious with him, so it is difficult to be sure, but it is still believed to be minor.}

1.) 09 Aug 2016 19:07:17
Thanks ed, appreciate the reply.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

Hi Ed's, a question for edo1 if your about, I know you answered this a while back but concidering the potential signing of wijjnalum and gruic already here, would you expect Henderson, if fit to command a place and keep the captaincy, thanks.

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

1.) 20 Jul 2016 15:09:48
Thanks Ed,

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

Ed 01 a question I'd I may, do you see sturridge at the club next season, I think I would be madness to sell him unless a proven goal scorer is signed beforehand, and there's no guarantees either, he's not at his best and looks to be going at about 50%, but is still our best goal scorer,

{Ed001's Note - yes, I expect Klopp to give him a few months to get back to his best next season before any decision is made on his future.}

1.) 03 Apr 2016 12:40:45
Cheers mate.

19 Jan 2016 00:18:53
Hi ed01, a question if I may, after ed02 confirmed we are interested in Shane long I must ask what you think, surely this cannot be allowed to happen, I know he has good qualities, run allday, gives 110 %, etc, but his highest total of league goals in a season is 8 since 2006/ 7, What is going on at our club to be considering such mediocre players.

{Ed001's Note - we are just trying to get players in who know the league and play the right style. It is a mistake, he is not good enough and we would just have yet another player unable to hit the side of a barn up front.}

1.) 19 Jan 2016 06:44:29
Surely means someone will leave ed if Long arrive?

{Ed001's Note - like who? The only reason he is an option is because everyone is injured, or we would not even have an exceedingly average player like him under consideration.}

2.) 19 Jan 2016 06:58:16
Owe i don't mate, just seems we will be over stacked with Strikers when all fit. Hopefully we won't bid, unless the reported 8m rejected is true?

{Ed001's Note - I know nothing of a bid, but we are showing interest.}

3.) 19 Jan 2016 07:41:19
I like long. Good player.

4.) 19 Jan 2016 08:11:20
Are there any other strikers we are looking at?

{Ed001's Note - we were looking for someone who will get going straight away, someone within the league, so far the prices being quoted are ruling out anyone.}

5.) 19 Jan 2016 08:11:28
If we're looking at him I think it tells you Benteke has had his last chance and hope is slim on Sturridge recovery.

I wouldn't mind him on a loan to tide us over but surely there's a better option like playing Firmino until Origi is back?

I also suspect Ojo might not be a bad shout! Eds would he be any good upfront do you think? Seems to have the right size, pace, movement and temperament but not sure if can actually finish.

{Ed001's Note - he has a decent shot on him from what I have seen, I would certainly give him a go, rather than getting someone who clearly is not good enough like Long. The only hope of anything from Long is that Klopp can improve him.}

6.) 19 Jan 2016 08:52:04
Isnt remy available?

{Ed001's Note - not if Chelsea don't sign someone, he is their only fully fit striker and he is injury prone anyway.}

7.) 19 Jan 2016 08:55:31
On a serious note you talked about playing ibe in a different position. I would say he is the perfect candidate to experiment with up top. Pace to burn and actually used to be a striker. I don't see him as a winger tbh he is not too bright and struggles with the role. But as a striker he could act on his instinct more and be more direct.

{Ed001's Note - defo agree, we should be looking for the solution within instead of spending money on more average players.}

8.) 19 Jan 2016 09:04:48
I don't think Remy would be interested in joining us and it would be a joke if he actually pass the medical failing it in the past at the same club.

{Ed002's Note - REmy did not fail the medical. The manager decided he did not want him.}

9.) 19 Jan 2016 09:11:18
That was a sarcasm Ed02. I knew he did not fail. The club used it as a reason to the outside world.

10.) 19 Jan 2016 09:16:23
Agree with John and Ed01,
I would play a diamond with Firmino and IBe up front using pace and movement. That is defo a good solution. His goals have come all from the middle.

Hi ed01,great result yesterday and great performance, enjoyed the match review, the obvious guys will get the deserved praise but special mention to Moreno, the guys received a lot of flak, a lot deserved, but he's put the head down worked hard and playing really well, fair play to the lad, and I hate international breaks😠,

A quick question ed do you expect the clubs stance on couts to remain til the end of the window, that's he's not for sale, cheers.

{Ed001's Note - publicly yes.}

So fsg going against the manager and selling our best player again compounding our status as a selling club and a complete shambles and an embarrassment, in a window where we should have strengthened considerably we're looking weaker than ever, I hope like carra said there's mass protests in Liverpool against the abs imbeciles running our club.

Every player needs games to get the sharpness back, he gets 10-15 mins here and there and a rare start, then gets the brunt of the abuse for not being better, I also don't think the system we play suits him, or his game, but instead of changing or tweaking to suit him klopp continues with his 1 trick pony tactics that most teams have sussed by now,

Ed01, as we seen with arsenal, Monaco were willing to sell Lemar for a price, 90m, and seen how he was identified as the replacement for couts, is there a reason we didn't match the bid accepted by arsenal and go sign him?, then offload coutinho and still have banked some money? It just looks like overall good football and business sense, cheers.

{Ed001's Note - because it was above the amount we felt was worth spending. He had been available for 50m earlier in the summer so 90m would have been a panic buy.}

OK we conceded less goals last season than any of the 3 seasons when sacko was playing, I think it's our of sight out of mind, or a mild case of amnesia, the guy was a bang average defender, abs no better than what we've got, but a hell of a lot less professional, so he's gone. Also not strengthening this area will again be the reason we miss out this season, it's baffling how it wasn't sorted,

Why is klopp saying in public then it's not his decision, " I have bosses who'll decide" if he's sold or not, you have the club feeding Pearce, Joyce bascombe that he won't be sold, whatever the truth is there's some bull flying out of club, if couts is sold it's massive profits for fsg while we lose quality and don't replace it, it's not about replacing it even but making sure we've improved after the wind closes, we haven't,

{Ed001's Note - how would it be massive profits for FSG? The massive profit would be for LFC, who have a much more massive debt within the FSG group from running at a massive loss for so many years.}
