For all those slating Karius just listen to Klopps interview after the game need I say more.

1.) 04 Dec 2016 20:28:06
Well if karius is the answer what the f#*ks the? Yet to be convinced. Still need a Kante, medal type player imho!

2.) 04 Dec 2016 21:24:34
Think we need a Gigantic wall in the midfield so the ball never reaches Karius or Lovren.

3.) 04 Dec 2016 22:09:30
We may need to look deeper, any sort of pressure and the keeper flaps. the problem might well be JOHN ACHTERBERG.

4.) 04 Dec 2016 22:19:20
Anything but blame Karius. I know you're all willing him to be great, and how I wish he was but, basically, he's crap.

5.) 04 Dec 2016 22:34:00
But buying a new keeper who is a clone of the previous one doesn't add up.

6.) 04 Dec 2016 22:42:24
So it's Karius' fault that the whole team switched off? It's his fault that the defence in front of him went AWOL and left him exposed to the point of making a one on one save vs Afobe right in the heart of the box with no defender in sight? It's his fault that our ragged defending left Fraser wide open to pick his spot? It's his fault that a CB had the freedom of Anfield to chest, control and pick his spot with no one even breathing on him to put him off? It's his fault that no one closed down the CB who had all the time in the world to shoot with no one closing him down that led to the fourth goal? Yeah, Karius is to blame for not rectifying all the above.

7.) 04 Dec 2016 22:51:12
Hamilton is right. Karius had no chance with the first 3 goals and made a few good saves.
Lovren needs a babysitter as he clearly cannot lead the defence and Lucas is not a defender and doesn't get in the team as a midfielder.

8.) 04 Dec 2016 22:52:16
The match wasn't at anfield.

9.) 04 Dec 2016 23:01:51
HAMILTON RED, he's not the only problem, but when called on he has to do his job, at 3-3 when that shot comes in he has to hold it, he's not inspiring any confidence in any of the games he's played.

10.) 04 Dec 2016 23:07:41
The team as a whole didn't cover themselves in glory in the second half Hamilton but Karius is to blame for not saving a routine shot for the second goal and spilling the ball into the middle of the 6 yard box for the fourth. I hate slating him and people who have read my posts will know I'm normally very supportive of our players but I'm so angry about that today. That's not to mention the other shot that went straight through his hands and he was lucky it went over the bar. You will get shots against you at any level of football and it's a goal keepers job to save the shots that can be saved. Today it looked like every shot on goal would go past him irrespective of how good the shot was. Yes he made a decent block from Afobe but it was hit at him rather than him saving it. I hope he comes good I really do but there's no hiding that was an absolute horror show today.

11.) 04 Dec 2016 23:19:56
Karius had a very poor game. Not sure how anyone can say otherwise. You can try blaming the defence but once the ball arrives with the keeper he has a job to do, and he didn't do it very well.
If i were Klopp, i'd flip a coin on which keeper starts the next match as i don't see much difference between them so far.

12.) 04 Dec 2016 23:22:01
My point is Klopp ain't slagging him off like the turnips on here are or any other player that cocks up, no mention of Milner and the penalty let's rip him also you get my point or do you.

13.) 04 Dec 2016 23:25:23
To be fair, Karius is an offensive keeper. I find him very offensive.

14.) 05 Dec 2016 01:24:43
I never said Karius was great. In fact, he could have done better with the shot but you have to go to the root of the problem in order to solve it. We dropped off our intensity and focus vs a team that hadn't had a kick all game, one that was being slaughtered with no where to hide. That is what triggered the meltdown. The defence had been doing its job for about an hour until Lovren had another brain freeze that led to Milner panicking and conceding the penalty. Then, under more pressure, the defence is all over the shop, exposing Karius. He's still young and in a new league. He needed the protection until he found his feet, something we had done since he came into the team. He got exposed by the defence and made a mistake. The lack of focus, poor attitude, no game management are the red flags for me, not the singling out of one player, especially a 22 year old GK who's still finding his feet.

15.) 05 Dec 2016 05:20:55
I accept your point, Hamilton - Karius was certainly not solely responsible for the loss - that was a lackadaisical approach by the whole team once we went two goals clear. But the OPs comment was regarding Karius's role in that capitulation and he should have done a lot better, particularly with the final goal.
I want to have Karius written on the back of next seasons shirt because he improved as much as De Gea after his first season but right now he's not showing us why he was so highly rated in Germany last year.

16.) 05 Dec 2016 15:07:31
Annie, if you want a Karius shirt on your back, then you have to stick and persevere with him for the next couple of seasons at least. Look, we all want a DDG type Goalie at LFC BUT even DDG or Reina himself, were woful when they arrived. Did their managers bin them after their calamitous starts or did they persevere, improve them and built defensive systems that protected them till they came good? they did not do the former, for sure. He`s not been outstanding and that`s fine because like it or not, he won`t be great overnight. You have to work with him and if Klopp is willing to do that, then we should be willing to support Karius if we claim trust Klopp. Binning him after 8 games and starting a known failure in migs or a 40 yr old semi retired in manninger is just ludicrous. He needs time to prove himself.

Ffs no one can say Fsg are tight surely, there spending some money whether you agree with the new signings or not.

1.) 21 Jul 2016 21:11:35
They are good owners. The committee (no matter who's on it) are the ones to point the finger at
But ultimately, FSG are still to blame for everything because they put the trust in these guys and employ them in the first place.

2.) 21 Jul 2016 21:14:20
Couldn't agree more. And yet.

There'll be plenty on here who will say otherwise. Ridiculous really!

@DontgoCountinho I'm sure you'll disagree?

3.) 21 Jul 2016 21:43:52
As the eds have mentioned they want to win the title as it would push the club into the billionaires club and then they can either reap the benefits or sell the club and get a return on their investment. To steer from the path they have set us on with Klopp would be extremely foolhardy at this point and I say let the manager have the players he wants and let's see what happens. Of course I'm pretty happy with the problems we've addressed in the squad though I think we are showing a tremendous and probably worrying g amount of faith in our new signings. particularly in Matip and Karius case. Wijnaldum for me can be great if we as fans get behind him and encourage him to give his all.

4.) 22 Jul 2016 00:27:48
We've also recouped a hell of a lot of money too. But you people always forget that part.

06 May 2016 08:45:50
Me heads banging the sun is shining (by the way I'm in lanzarote) gone thru all the posts and I can't find one slagging of post now that's great to see.

1.) 06 May 2016 09:14:56
Those who were having a pop at Klopp for the first leg are buffoons. Klopp knows what he is doing. As far as it goes that was text book European two legged football. Keep it tight away from home so that you give yourself a chance in the home leg.

2.) 06 May 2016 09:41:52
We got it just right last night I thought with a combination of high press and harrying of Villareal's players when in possession. I'll admit I was still a little nervous until the third goal went in, what a great night! Let's hope we can take that game to the final against a good Sevilla team.

3.) 06 May 2016 09:56:26

come back on Sunday at 16:01 and it will be normal service resumed.

Moaning because we are playing the kids people are so desperate to see but aren't allowed any time to develop.

4.) 06 May 2016 14:11:33
Hopefully they won't but I no what you mean mate.

02 Dec 2015 19:48:06
Moreno yep Real will be knocking on the door for you kid.

1.) 02 Dec 2015 19:58:04
i dread to think what the score would be without all these high quality goalkeepers we have 😂.

2.) 02 Dec 2015 20:22:35
Ron, is it the wrong time of the month, you've been strangely grumpy recently.

3.) 02 Dec 2015 20:29:57
Ron, have you considered being an Evertonian?

4.) 02 Dec 2015 20:31:47
PS, I love all the fickle fans! Moreno is useless. Oh wait. 20 yard thunderbolt. Yeah, Moreno forever.

5.) 02 Dec 2015 20:33:09
Lol he scored.

6.) 02 Dec 2015 20:38:30
After that goal i'm sure they will be!

7.) 02 Dec 2015 20:39:01
Haha. agree with you clarky5000. I mean I love my fellow supporters but sometimes they can be real douchebags.

8.) 02 Dec 2015 20:13:52
Moreno has been playing through out and needs a rest. How could people neglect, Randall allowed Tadic to twist and turn at least three time before setting up a nice cross.

Mane is a fantastic player nevertheless.

29 Nov 2015 20:51:23
No goalkeeper has kept more clean sheets in the Premier League in 2015 than Simon Mignolet (14)

1.) 29 Nov 2015 21:08:53
Guess that's it settled then. Mingolet is the best keeper in the premier league!

And Leicester are the best team in the league.

And Milner is the best penalty taker in the league.

And Jamie Vardy is the best striker in Premier league history.

2.) 29 Nov 2015 21:10:44
Just goes to show how deceiving statistics can be.

3.) 29 Nov 2015 21:31:52
Just putting a stat up lady's I'm not saying he's the best 😁.

4.) 29 Nov 2015 21:35:30
It does help his stats when he doesn't have a shot to save like today.

5.) 29 Nov 2015 22:01:17
Today being the exception Ron, not the norm. It is a strange stat considering how awful our defence has been in the last 2 seasons.

6.) 29 Nov 2015 22:49:42
The problem with Migs is he is prone to a complete cockup at any moment. That is to say, he will do something that a Sunday league keeper would be embarrassed about.

He gives his defence no confidence and no direction. The best keepers instil confidence in their defenders and help them with runners and positioning.

7.) 29 Nov 2015 22:59:29
The irony involved in EMS post :'-)

well played.

8.) 29 Nov 2015 22:59:58
Bet he's played more games than the rest too! Courtois out for a while. Cech barely played end of the last season. Arsenal switched between goalies last season too. Howard's missed games for Everton, as well as lloris and forster.

9.) 29 Nov 2015 23:16:38
If that statistic is true, I don't see how you can give anything except praise to Mingolet. Instead, people look for more reasons to knock him. He is a decent keeper who has made a few mistakes in the past but is improving hugely under Klopp. All stats can be manipulated but a goalkeeper who keeps the most clean sheets in a year is obviously doing a large part of his job very well. And to suggest he has achieved that record because opposing teams like Swansea don't shoot enough is complete bs.

10.) 30 Nov 2015 03:12:44
That stat has been posted on here before. It was pointless then, because it doesn't tell the whole story of our pathetic defenses and his shocking howlers. It is pointless now.

11.) 30 Nov 2015 03:20:23
It's a bit surprising but I think a lot of this also comes down to the whole defensive setup (gengenpress), Lucas being played more regularly, and even our CB's in the last few weeks.

Migs is a good shot stopper and has been playing much better, but just compare him to De Gea, Hart or Cech and the stat is clearly not all down to the keeper!

Ed 1 just had a lad in my hotel from Liverpool and he seemed to no a little info regarding Chilwell that he didn't join us because he wasn't being guaranteed a place straight away? .

{Ed001's Note - rubbish. He didn't join purely because we couldn't agree a fee with Leicester.}

Chilwell has guaranteed footy at Leicester he wouldn't have if he'd come to us.
