Ojo has said today he's back running.

Jezza kyle

1.) 01 Nov 2016 03:08:40
Hope he's back to form soon, he strikes me as another potential Mane in the making. blessed with pace and dribbling ability, yet can also pass and score goals.

2.) 01 Nov 2016 10:14:23
Can't wait to see this lad, i'm not going to get excited about this news, not yet, ED1 said he may be back by the end of the season so I'm going to go on that, any earlier is a bonus! Would love to see him ready in January for when Mane is away but I can't see it, sounds a little too early.

13 Mar 2016 16:43:51
Nordtfelt has announced he's leaving BMG and moving to England. A month or so back he was spotted at melwood (mentioned on here) can an ed say if it's us or if not who it is please as he clearly has something arranged.

Jezza kyle

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool showed interest in Borussia Monchengladbach’s Nordtveit back in January 2012. It was suggested in Germany in 2012 that Arsenal might look to buy the player back at one time, that the interest of Sunderland would lead to an offer. However, he is out of contract at the end of the season and the only sides who have shown a real interest so far are Leicester, West Ham and Borussia Dortmund - but unlike non Bundesliga sides, Dortmund cannot approach him at this time. Having ended interest in another player, Arsenal has spoken with his agent over a return but have taken it no further just now. West Brom, Spurs, Schalke and Southampton have watched him but my understanding is that none have requested to speak to the player. Monchengladbach were keen on a new deal with him they accept they are likely defeated. Expect him to move to England and I supect West Ham will win out unless Spurs or Arsenal put something attractive on the table. I have explained on many previous occasions that any suggested interest from Liverpool right now seems to me to be wide of the mark - 2012 yes, but not now. He certainly won't have been hanging out at Melwood.}

1.) 13 Mar 2016 17:17:26
Thankyou 002 everything I wanted to know right there. As usual with my 2+2 I got 5.

Interesting reading the injury stats for the 16/ 17 season no team in the top 6 has had players injured for more days than us. Only 5 teams in the league have had more days missed by players and they're all fighting relegation. Squad game.

Jezza kyle

1.) 29 Mar 2017 13:17:23
Leicester just won the league basically by being able to field an identical team in almost every game, near record small numbers of injuries and suspensions. It's the same every year - so little to pick between first XI's that whose available most is the clincher.

2.) 29 Mar 2017 17:03:30
That sturridge lad sure would diddle daddle with those stats probably inflates them by 150 days or more. Jeewiz, genie mac, bugger me sideways these sure are some silly stats I say I say. Any who funny how funny how despite these injuries the suppose king of developing players and bringing through youth has managed to barely give any premier league minutes to youth players opting to just run the players into the ground oppose to makes sub, either speaks volumes for the lack of quality our youth players possess or just that people have wildly exaggerated klopps reputation On this department who knows, not me maybe other, I don't, it would really be a shot in the dark for me to, not like shooting fish in a barrel at all.

3.) 29 Mar 2017 18:41:12
zoom what on God's (or whatever other mystical deity people on this site may believe in, maybe there's some sort of Norwegian God that the majority of our fanbase believes in) green (not always green of course but whatever floats your boat (or other transportation device) earth are you talking about?!

4.) 29 Mar 2017 19:29:28
I think he's saying
1) Sturridge inflates the stats
2) Klopp needs to bring through more youngsters to solve the problem
3) it's easier to shoot fish in the dark if they're in a barrel?

5.) 29 Mar 2017 19:32:12
You've summed up the situation succinctly there Zoom 👍🤠.

6.) 29 Mar 2017 19:58:22
oh thanks for clearing that up zimbo, i don't know why the creep didn't just say that instead of beating round the bush, I mean why did he have to go and say that you would have thought he could have got to the point in a flash i mean holy harry potter what's the big deal what's the hold up, anyway back to my point about him not beating around the bush, his post is ridiculous and long winded in fact i've never seen such a long winded post in my history (which is a fairly long vengeful one especially over the last five years where i went away and did some soul searching) but thanks for clearing it up anyway zimbo, someone had to.

7.) 29 Mar 2017 23:55:31
took at least 3 or 4 attempts to read your post through all the parentheses tho prometheus. lol.

28 Mar 2017 14:23:08
In 82 years the proposed site for Everton's new ground will be aproxamatly 2m underwater if global warming stays at around 2 degrees.

Jezza kyle

1.) 28 Mar 2017 14:47:32
Be a shame for their fans. Never mind though. There are plenty more Football clubs in sea.

2.) 28 Mar 2017 15:08:32
They could always switch to water polo. Might give some more silverware than the footy.

3.) 28 Mar 2017 15:10:06
Remind me in the year 2099.

4.) 28 Mar 2017 15:35:17
Jezza, into GIS?

5.) 28 Mar 2017 21:17:40
Could be useful if they need to float a cross in or bring a sub on. sorry, they were there and it had to be done, haha.

6.) 29 Mar 2017 09:09:32
That will buoy them up huh?

20 Mar 2017 12:55:42
Klopp will be livid Wilson now also called into the Wales squad alongside Woodburn. Let's hope it doesn't have the same affect as last time on him and the same affect on Woodburn as him.

Jezza kyle

1.) 20 Mar 2017 13:41:11
What affect?

2.) 20 Mar 2017 15:33:08
Why would klopp be livid that the kids are bring called up to be in the waled squad? Sure it's a big confodince boost for them!

3.) 20 Mar 2017 15:45:10
Harry Wilson was called up at 15/ 16 and he's only just this season got back the form that got him the call up. For 2/ 3 years he lost his way because he thought he'd made it. That's why he'll be livid. They don't need ego boosts. They need to be kept grounded and given opportunities in perhaps the u19s/ 20s/ 21s at their age. Not the full squad when neither player has earned it not even close. Woodburn was called up for politics and Wilson I honestly have no idea how they could justify that the tied him to wales at 15 which is all they're doing with Woodburn. 001 will agree with me I'm sure.

4.) 20 Mar 2017 16:23:41
That's a pretty ridiculous argument. "They don't need ego boosts. " there's a difference in ego boosts and rewarding good play? If they can't handle the pressure, better we find out now. And sheltering them and never playing them is DEFINITELY not the solution. Just because you're a kid doesn't mean you shouldn't play. If you can ball, you can ball.

5.) 20 Mar 2017 17:58:37
they would both currently walk into the wales side, bar bale they are not exactly overflowing with quality, coleman does not exactly have a big pool to choose from, weather it is right or wrong is another argument.

6.) 20 Mar 2017 18:15:12
Didn't the Wilson, lad, chap, fella, buddy boy, kiddo, matey, good old fella suffer from injuries and that's why his form dropped.

7.) 20 Mar 2017 18:34:26
Wilson played a game for Wales and was immediately dubbed the next Gareth Bale, a comparison that surely went to his head and following that his form dropped.

{Ed025's Note - hes more gareth gates than gareth bale mr C.. :)

8.) 20 Mar 2017 21:46:28
didn't say i agree with the comparison Ed025 just stating to the OP how Wilson's previous Wales call-up had an impact on him.

{Ed025's Note - i know that mate..

9.) 20 Mar 2017 23:17:24
it kinda depends on the kid don't ya think tj? but the other thing is that say someone doesn't handle it well like harry didn't, that's not to say he couldn't recover from that and do better with age. he was 15 / 16!

10.) 20 Mar 2017 23:38:26
Jezza Kyle, I know Harry Wilson he lives in my town, and wether he got called up at 15 or not would have made zero difference to the team he played for. He's a proud Welshman.

11.) 21 Mar 2017 10:36:57
And why would he be livid, exactly?

19 Mar 2017 13:28:02
Ed how much do you know about Curtis Jones?

Jezza kyle

{Ed001's Note - not a lot mate, Gerrard has talked him up a bit since getting involved, but that's it.}

1.) 19 Mar 2017 14:16:08
Okay cheers seen him play a few times looks quality hopefully good things to come.

{Ed001's Note - he is certainly one that is expected to step up next season. Probably be a regular in the U23s, if all goes well.}

2.) 19 Mar 2017 14:20:19
Isn't that a dangerous thing to do though ed. The kid is young and he has a lot more years left to develop football wise. The last thing you would want now is the young kid to start believing the hype instead of just concentrating on his football.

{Ed001's Note - better finding out now he has the wrong attitude then later. Plus you have to push them or they don't improve.}

3.) 19 Mar 2017 15:24:21
On a related note, do you know how Gerrard is getting along, Ed001? Any potential to make it as a senior coach or too early to tell?

{Ed001's Note - so far he is doing well, but it is very early in his career and just being Gerrard is enough at this stage to inspire the kids.}

18 Mar 2017 17:57:48
Curtis jones looks like the next big thing coming from the u18s.

Jezza kyle

1.) 18 Mar 2017 21:32:40
Not seen a lot of the U18's lately but McAuley and Dhanda are earning rave reviews.

2.) 18 Mar 2017 22:44:27
McAuley is good dhanda has stagnated. Curtis jones looks a player.

Crawl out lads he's posted about 3 times in 2 years when we've made about 25 signings and sold 40 players. And when he does post it's usually wrong lately gotze, takeover etc etc.

He hasn't impressed me at all this season I'm picturing him being skinned by mirallas earlier in the season and yesterday he couldn't stop the goal. He reminds me a lot of Moreno actually acceptable going forward suspect defensively but he's a couple of years younger and English. Personally at the moment I'm glad we missed that boat.

Some of them might not be you're probably right in the summer they should be loaned to give them another chance or sold.

Perhaps he should just farm them out on loan? Quality and money usually correlate it's not science and there are anomalys but generally speaking they go hand in hand. Liverpool if they qualify for Europe next season will increase the squad size by 4/ 5 players to be able to cope and hopefully those will be quality players so that we have the same strength in depth as our competitors. We have a lot of so so young players that need to prove themselves.

Jezza kyle

{Ed025's Note - for me they have proved themselves jezza.....proved that they are not up to the task mate..

Never mentioned anything about being hard done by just putting you straight with lots of love.

Jezza kyle

{Ed002's Note - You are simply trying to relate it to money. I am sure Klopp will get rid of the Academy players for you.}

28 Mar 2017 17:23:15
Small quality squad then. Lots of players 14 players that can be in and out of the 11 without changing the quality drastically unlike every team above us apart from Spurs. Fact. Our bench with our injuries already has 4 teenagers on it so yes we have players available obviously like hull who at the start of the season had no players yet still managed to field a team and subs. We have players but not the a quality squad depth. Chelsea 150m bench Man U 200m bench arsenal 100m bench city 120m bench Liverpool 4 academy players a reserve GK and klavan.

Jezza kyle

{Ed002's Note - Always so hard done by.}

When he came on v city I thought he was injured tbh he couldn't or wouldn't run there was a few times when he should've burst forward but didn't. It was strange normally you can't acuse him of a lack of effort but I'd say that about him that day.
