Gakpo apparently handed in a transfer request according to reports in Dutch media.

Cheers Robbo, always appreciated.

Heard great things of this Relaky person. Apparently can play RB too!

5

03 Jun 2026 18:03:28
Sounds good, Robo.

1

03 Jun 2026 18:12:35
Robbo, so happy that even his/her autocorrect isn't working. 🤣🤣

1

03 Jun 2026 18:13:01
Robbo, just keep breaking the good news. You are a true bringer of good news.

1

03 Jun 2026 18:21:34
Brilliant news !

0

03 Jun 2026 18:26:26
Is Relaky any relation to Rokki?

1

03 Jun 2026 18:40:34
It's not a relationship.

Don’t usually get much info but I’ve heard we might make a surprise move for Archie Gray - seen a couple of people online say the same so makes me think there might be something in it.

Big fan of Alex Scott and feel they are similar profiles - definitely a position we recruit for in summer either way.

03 Jun 2026 17:04:50
Does this come from LFCApproved on Twitter?

4

03 Jun 2026 17:31:36
Sounds like it, although Approved did sell his account a while back, so take it with a pinch of salt.

2

03 Jun 2026 18:01:31
No, actually, some replies / comments from couple of random supports who also regularly go to games. I had heard separately before seeing any of this though.

0

03 Jun 2026 18:14:38
I really can't see that one happening. Spurs won't let him go cheap, so would be paying vastly over his value.
So Big no from me for that one.

1

03 Jun 2026 18:27:02
Might have been an option if he was available more cheaply upon relegation, however, if the clickbait fee for Fernandes - £80m - is to be believed, even relegation doesn't guarantee lower transfer fees these days!

1

03 Jun 2026 16:44:02
Thiago dropping hints on his IG page, the modern football landscape could not be any further removed from how it was growing up in the 80's.

03 Jun 2026 17:52:28
The futures now old man . Sorry I loved Malcom in the middle growing up

Quick question - where are folks getting the info on Gravy's salary? I've seen quoted here that it's £250k+ but on Capology it says he signed a new deal in March 2026 at £150k per week, expiry in 2032. Some bonuses on top.

Gakpo is an issue though, £250k signing in Aug 25 at £250k/w for 5 years.

4

03 Jun 2026 16:01:03
De Telegraph at the time were reporting the 280k, I believe. Just had a look through the stats websites about salaries, and they all say 150k.

3

03 Jun 2026 16:02:26
Actually, having another browse, it's 280k once bonuses are factored in. No idea what they are, and how achievable. E.g., some might be based on winning the title and some might be for playing the game.

1

03 Jun 2026 16:04:42
Thanks, I wonder if Der Telegraph have got that wrong? Capology certainly are reflecting the latest contract as they have it signed in Mar 26.

3

03 Jun 2026 16:08:38
I thought about bonuses too, but, again, according to Capology, they're 'only' up to £37.5k per week, which, if they were all achievable (prob not as some will be based on winning major trophies every season etc), would push him to £187.5k/week.

I wonder how the almost £100k difference arose?

3

03 Jun 2026 16:28:52
Is it in £ or EUR that might explain the difference in figures?

1

03 Jun 2026 16:31:01
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. How else can a club protect their players from being poached on Bosmans?

1

03 Jun 2026 16:32:25
Because Liverpool fans are very easy to wind up. They'll literally believe anything, especially if it means they can have a good moan about how rubbish the club is.

6

03 Jun 2026 16:38:00
Is it not much more likely that the £280k a week info was nothing more than poorly informed rage bait? Certainly worked if it was.

5

03 Jun 2026 16:42:40
Lofty, possibly, but too big a gap between £187,500 (Capology is in £STG) and EUR280,000 as the XR has been between EUR1.13 and EUR1.19 over the last year.

1

03 Jun 2026 17:41:16
A note on player bonuses:

It is very common for players to get flat fee bonuses for the following - being named a sub, being part of match day squad, getting an appearance, playing the full 90, scoring a goal, keeping a clean sheet, not receiving any cards, winning, drawing.

Players also get higher bonuses for team wins and draws against bigger opposition - this is partly why you see small teams step up their game Vs bigger teams - they literally get paid more to do it.

Then there's long term bonuses like qualifying for competitions, reaching certain stages, winning competitions and individual trophies (the last one seems to be less common these days).

This info is based on what I've directly witnessed as a staff member in Bundesliga, here in Brazil, and also info from executive friends at Real Madrid and an agent friend at one of the biggest sports agencies in football, so you can take it as pretty solid info.

About 60% of bonuses aren't just achievable for players, they're pretty much guaranteed.

1

03 Jun 2026 17:52:25
Nevada, that makes so much sense, and is probably why agents want their players either moving around a lot or asking for more money up front, so they can ask for a bigger slice of the pie.

03 Jun 2026 18:03:37
Ryan Gravenberch will earn EUR100 Million (£87m) over the course of his new Liverpool contract. The Dutchman signs until the end of the 2031/32 season on a reported weekly wage of around £280k per week before bonuses, according to Mike Verweij of De Telegraaf.

03 Jun 2026 18:20:23
Happy to go with the ragebait comment, and the fact we Liverpool fans are easy to wind up! I wonder why other media outlets (genuine ones, not the ones that copy and paste) did pick up on this at the time.

1

03 Jun 2026 15:22:43
Madrid are looking at putting in a bid for Macca.

20

03 Jun 2026 15:59:16
Please let this be true.

17

03 Jun 2026 16:05:05
A bid now, or a week before his contract expiry in 2 years??

12

03 Jun 2026 16:05:20
You mean that they are pretending to be thinking about putting in a bid whilst waiting for him to run down his contract and join them on a free?

12

03 Jun 2026 16:08:36
Please, and about time they paid for someone.

4

03 Jun 2026 16:30:08
Not their usual style, I wonder if it'll be a lowball figure based on last season, but enough to unsettle him into the move?

1

03 Jun 2026 16:31:53
Real are stacked with saleable assets for Alexis and Shrek 2.

2

03 Jun 2026 16:43:10
By not their style, I mean tell him to sit out his contract, as they usually do.

2

03 Jun 2026 16:59:38
They can have him for £10m now.

2

03 Jun 2026 18:11:33
I would believe two-tier Keir before Raceylfc.

0

03 Jun 2026 13:43:31
I'm going to put my neck on the line.

Liverpool will sign Yan Diomande this summer.

Ta.

57

03 Jun 2026 14:02:40
Cheers Carra. Much appreciated as always.

3

03 Jun 2026 14:03:20
It's the same way you put your neck on the line for Isak last summer, and it happened. So I believe you 100 percent.

21

03 Jun 2026 14:03:48
Love it, thanks Carra.

6

03 Jun 2026 14:04:07
Cheers, Cara.

What's everyone's thoughts on him? I don't know much about him as a player, but I see he's born in 2006, which makes me feel like I'm as old as the club itself.

10

03 Jun 2026 14:07:01
Always trust your info, Carra!

6

03 Jun 2026 14:08:36
You're a Diomande Geezer, Carra!

22

03 Jun 2026 14:09:40
Risky for the fee touted, considering he's only had one season in a competitive league, but if he has the same mentality/ethic/attitude as Mane and Salah, we've potentially got a top top player.

So, that's Diomande and Barcola incoming according to the two big dogs here (imo), Carra saying Diomande, and I recall Robbo mentioning Barcola was 99% likely...

If we pull off both, exciting times ahead. A front three of Barcola, Isak and Diomande with Ekitike, Rio, Gakpo is exactly the depth and quality we lacked last season. I'd add one more in, a cheaper option who can play across the front line.

3

03 Jun 2026 14:19:05
Vamos!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who will be the next target?

3

03 Jun 2026 14:21:06
Great news, with the right coach he could be a diamond. We know things can change, but you tend to be the person, along with Robbo, who gets most things right.

3

03 Jun 2026 14:40:32
If you're right, it's another Carra success, if not, all good.

8

03 Jun 2026 14:47:19
Cheers Macca for the update. Sands shift all the time, but you and a few others are ITK, so thanks.

4

03 Jun 2026 14:55:20
Fantastic news, thanks, Carra.

2

03 Jun 2026 14:59:36
Great news, we need to get this one over the line ASAP rather than let things drag on like we have in recent windows. Barcola doesn't interest me in the least though. There has to be other options.

4

03 Jun 2026 15:05:08
Sealed by next week imo.

4

03 Jun 2026 15:10:16
Nice one, Carra, much appreciate the info as always.

1

03 Jun 2026 15:21:01
Carra,
Where is your on Barcola?

1

03 Jun 2026 15:36:57
@Sadio Salah, I would rather have Rayan than Barcola to be honest.

3

03 Jun 2026 15:41:40
Cheers, Carra - Gotta say that when you put your neck on the line (Like you did with Isak) it does arouse me! (Where's those tissues?)

4

03 Jun 2026 15:52:37
I've not seen him play in clips on YouTube so I can't comment on him.
But even with the small info I would rather him than Barcola.

1

03 Jun 2026 15:55:59
Nice one, Carra.

It's definitely the most difficult deal of the summer, so to get it done nearly would be amazing.

1

03 Jun 2026 16:18:48
There has to be cheaper alternatives out there. At the figures quoted in the press, it just seems like a massive risk. Can't remember too many guys coming from the German league and being a major success here, apart from the obvious ones: KDB, Kompany, Haaland. I personally think it's too risky. Last thing we need is another 100m pound average player.

1

03 Jun 2026 16:36:22
I wouldn't worry about the money, hello, it's not your money and the club knows what they can afford.

Let's just hope if it happens he turns out to be a huge success.

2

03 Jun 2026 16:38:50
Hellohello: Ballack, Gundogan, Hamann, Babbel (were it not for his illness, may have been a cornerstone RB for us), Havertz isn't the worst, and Schade looks like a good player currently too.

3

03 Jun 2026 17:06:56
Dom Szoboszlai comes to mind, maybe? Mane didn't even make the Salzburg Leipzig move and came to the prem straight from Austria, didn't turn out too badly now did he.

2

03 Jun 2026 18:22:08
Hellohellohello (to give you your full name), like others have said, don't let the fee worry you. It's not pounds and pence on the field that we watch, but players.

Plus I truly believe that he is a diomande in the rough.

0

03 Jun 2026 18:33:42
I hope as much as anyone that he is a massive success. I just think 100m plus for a guy that scored 12 goals in a poor league is an awful lot of money.

0

03 Jun 2026 12:38:23
Like I said in my earlier posts - Abe genuinely thought about walking. So I'm surprised, but very happy, that he's staying.

He's signing for just over half of what City put on the table. The money didn't win it - the pathway did. Potential Pre-season with the new manager and a proper shot at the first team is what sold him.

Internally he's rated on the same level as Rio.

Brilliant news for us. That's me done talking money on here - but my figures were spot on (for the haters).

21

03 Jun 2026 13:23:04
Might just be me but our teenage prospects don't excite me so much tbh. I think being a fan for so long, I've seen hype for so many kids and in reality hardly any of them will end up as a first team player one day. It feels a bit too rare to get excited but I am getting older and more grumpy!

10

03 Jun 2026 13:35:18
There's nothing about Rio that suggests he is in any way special. He's miles away from being a first team squad member for us. I don't understand the hype whatsoever. If Nynoi etc. are good enough, they'd be pushing the regular starter and forcing their way into the team.

They're not. Perhaps, these are classic cases of getting too much too quickly without having to earn it first. That's my opinion anyway.

7

03 Jun 2026 13:58:02
People rate Rio because he is fast and is the only one that could take on people, besides the rare times from Salah and Frimpong.

Nonetheless, I feel that Rio could become good. He needs to improve his decision making and his defense, but those are things that could be improved upon since he is very young.

As for Nyoni, I feel he could be decent, but I feel he has a longer way to become a first teamer. Who knows if, with a new manager, both take a huge jump?

3

03 Jun 2026 14:04:57
He's currently too lightweight, though he did appear to be a bit more bulky toward the end of the season. Sadly, he appears to be a one, maybe two trick pony. Stop overs and coming inside are not world beating techniques any more.

4

03 Jun 2026 14:20:10
I hope Iraola is like Klopp and gives the kids the chance. As he will demand they work so hard, we will find out if they have what it takes. My bet is on Trey to make a step this season.

4

03 Jun 2026 14:25:52
My take on news like this is really positive.

Rio at 17, the fact we are discussing whether or not he is currently a first team regular shows how advanced he is for his age. Not every teenager will be like Lamine Yamal or Mbappe, but I would say that I hope Rio continues to get minutes and grows, as in a couple of seasons he may be at a Diomande level (for example), with still lots more development to go.

Pleased Abe has stayed, and we've not chased him with a ton of money to ensure that he does.

Let's see what the future brings.

7

03 Jun 2026 14:28:45
Wonder if Slot leaving had any bearing on the decision to commit to LFC.

2

03 Jun 2026 14:42:24
Is Rio not already a first team squad member?

4

03 Jun 2026 14:51:53
To the posters saying Rio isn't that good, the lad is 17 years old, ffs. He's a school kid!

He isn't Lamine Yamal, but he's still an excellent young player and one of the best teenagers playing in the Premier League.

To the OP, thanks for sharing the info. This seems to have been confirmed by the media that he's chosen to stay on despite competing offers.

6

03 Jun 2026 14:53:35
Which mid did Klopp have a chance to? Unless forced to?

1

03 Jun 2026 15:18:23
Aren't our kids mostly really young?

2

03 Jun 2026 15:31:00
My guess is Rio will improve vastly next season with Iraola.
If he stays, I would expect Gakpo to improve too, and Rio will get more minutes from the bench, and that is what he needs to improve game time, especially later on in games when players are tired, giving him slightly more time to learn to make the right decisions.

0

03 Jun 2026 15:54:51
Rio is superb for his age. No worries at all about him.

1

03 Jun 2026 16:02:38
Cafu: Trent, Jones, Bradley, Kelleher, Elliott, Neco Williams, Solsnke, Quansah, just off the top of my head.

0

03 Jun 2026 16:40:13
I think we will really see what players like Rio and Nyoni can do under Iraola. Slot was far, far too placid when we had the ball, they'll flourish.

0

03 Jun 2026 17:02:44
I worry more about Gakpo than I do Rio.
