NP to Derby on Loan, good luck to the man!
1.) 30 Aug 2024 14:19:39
Feel sorry for him now tbh.
Let him leave permanently for whatever someone want to pay.
2.) 30 Aug 2024 14:26:47
That guys had more loans than Donald Trump.
3.) 30 Aug 2024 14:32:23
Another CB gone. what's the plan if Virgil and/ or Konate get injured?
4.) 30 Aug 2024 14:37:14
I’m sorry but how can you possibly feel sorry for Nat Phillips? You talk like we have him locked in a dungeon without allowing him any access to the outside world.
If he wanted to leave all he had to do is put in a transfer request and force a move. The fact he hasn’t tells me that he’s been happy to be where he is.
Not all players are desperate to play week in week out, some are happy to take a wage and have a career whether they play or not.
5.) 30 Aug 2024 14:37:58
Liss you feel sorry for him? He’s been on huge money for years. Why feel sorry.
6.) 30 Aug 2024 14:49:08
I don't know if the Club has an option for an extra year on his contract but this is his final year on it and he is a free agent next summer! So weird we didn't sell him for 6 million £ last year when we knew he will never make it here and that he is out of contract soon. Now he leaves for free and we cover 60% of his 65 000 pr. week wages for the rest of the year. Good luck Nathan Philipps! YNWA mate, thanks for the decent performances when we were down to the bare bones. Gave it his all!
7.) 30 Aug 2024 14:50:18
That is tru, whilst I do feel a little sorry for him, he did sign a big long term deal a few years ago which is probably higher than most are willing to spend.
8.) 30 Aug 2024 15:08:13
BP I totally agree. There are people in this world that everyone should feel sorry for. A footballing millionaire with limited ability is not one of them.
9.) 30 Aug 2024 15:12:54
Feel sorry for him now tbh.
Let him leave permanently for whatever someone want to pay.
Liss
65K A week contract that he was forced to sign at gunpoint.
10.) 30 Aug 2024 15:34:37
I think if we worked out how much he's paid to minutes played he’s probably one of our best paid players over the last 5 years.
11.) 30 Aug 2024 16:51:29
He played his part in the defensive crisis a few years back and got rewarded with a new contract, probably on much higher wages than most clubs we would otherwise pay despite him being (IMO) a PL level defender, at least in a low block system anyway.
Probs why he's still with us.
12.) 30 Aug 2024 17:23:49
I reckon Klopp typed up Nat Phillips' contract himself.
13.) 30 Aug 2024 17:56:39
On the plus side he'll have no issues getting oasis tickets ;)
13 Aug 2023 07:49:16
Don't shoot the messenger but I've heard through a few sources that Klopp is angered by the Caicedo and Lavia situation and wants our next deal wrapped up quietly and without fuss, not a public monstrosity like these 2 deals.
Expect us to go all in for Florentino Luis who I believe has a very high release clause around 100m.
That'll be it for our transfer dealings but personally I'd be happy with Luis, he doesn't have PL experience but he looks absolutely class.
1.) 13 Aug 2023 08:39:22
I think we all want that too.
That’s not a difficult message to read.
Thanks.
2.) 13 Aug 2023 08:39:34
Klopp will not be angered when all there is "Chlesea will tabled an offer, Chelse will push for, Chelsea finalising offer, Chelsea blah blah. " Caiciedo is coming.
3.) 13 Aug 2023 08:45:54
3rd day now and still nothing. Never seen anything like it.
4.) 13 Aug 2023 08:59:53
We didn’t think Lavia was worth the asking price Southampton quoted and then we acted fast with Caicedo and the club did everything in their power to sign him and agreed a deal with Brighton only for Chelsea to come again after the deadline set by Brighton and the player preferring that move, don’t think we’ve done a lot wrong personally.
5.) 13 Aug 2023 09:25:56
I read that FSG are here to persuade Klopp to stay as initially he wanted to leave at the end of this season but now he wants to go immediately unless he gets the support, hence the Caicedo bid.
6.) 13 Aug 2023 09:26:05
With the clubs effort on Moises. It was late. The club were trying to negotiate with a player who had made his choice a long time ago.
7.) 13 Aug 2023 09:15:28
Very disappointing few weeks if we fail to get either of our first two DM targets and it’s not looking likely. Not great for whoever comes in now either, clearly low down on our list of priorities.
8.) 13 Aug 2023 09:37:59
Maybe I'm wrong, but from what I have read, LFC were given the impression that if they bid for Caceido he would be open for the move, so they did. Caceido then decided he wanted to stick with Chelsea. Not seeing an issue.
LFC bid up to what they thing Lavia is worth and no more. Not seeing an issue.
Pundits who let's be fair never actually excelled at being managers calling us embarrassing for bidding and trying to sign good players. Players like any employee are allowed free will to choose where they go. That's like Tesco and Waitrose going after the same employee but them choosing Tesco, the only difference is the supermarkets or journalists wouldn't plaster it over social media.
9.) 13 Aug 2023 09:47:02
Kwkhong, that's a good rumour, I like that one.
10.) 13 Aug 2023 09:53:18
Speculation of course Ed002, but do you think it will take full release clause to get Florentino out of Benfica?
For me he is far more risk than Caicedo hence I would expect Liverpool would not pay 100m. Don't get me wrong. I like him from the little I ve seen but I'd be looking closer to the 60/ 70 million mark for him.
With all these crazy prices, perhaps we should go back and match Chelsea's Lavia price. I do like that we don't see any statements/ noise out of him this window. Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. Let's see on that front I guess but interested in you thoughthts on what Florentino would likely cost. Fully realise it would be merely educated speculation on your part.
{Ed002's Note - Benfica have no interest in selling Florentino Luis unless his buy out clause is met or nearly matched - and that was the message given to another Premier League side who were interested. The release clause is €120M.}
11.) 13 Aug 2023 10:03:24
I can see Klopp replacing Ancelotti next season after this pantomine.
12.) 13 Aug 2023 10:04:53
RedA you're right, they'll probably be poor distant choices. Much like salah, who was the third choice after Gotze and Brandt.
13.) 13 Aug 2023 10:06:26
well, the only Liverpool person I’ve seen say anything publicly about our bid for Caicedo is Klopp.
14.) 13 Aug 2023 10:48:31
another rumours klopp leaving, Jesus some people fall for it every time, a rumour from twitter.
15.) 13 Aug 2023 11:11:05
To be fair to Klopp he only said a deal had been agreed with Brighton, but added we’re not interested in a deal we want the player. So I think he knew he was going to get asked about it and gave an honest answer, one which actually pretty much covered all the bases. If I was Klopp I would have steam coming out of my ears with the MC camp as there’s no way we would have bid without checking he was interested in the move.
{Ed002's Note - This is pretty much business as usual - you are making a huge deal about a player opting for another club.}
16.) 13 Aug 2023 12:18:34
Klopp has said he is going to take a year’s sabbatical when his current contract ends and then he’ll assess the situation. His comments are a matter of public record.
17.) 13 Aug 2023 12:20:04
I have always loved LFC, but i try not to be blind about the fact that over recent years, at least, we have been able to bully smaller clubs and while i am frustrated we seem to be dicking around in the transfer market, its kind of nice to see a smaller club stick to their demands, likely due partly to being treated with less respect than they should have by clubs like LFC previously. I do hope we get a couple of players in quickly though, but if we don't, give the young guns more of a run out.
18.) 13 Aug 2023 13:36:56
My god people like to dramatise everything. I'm sure Klopp is annoyed at the whole media circus, but he's well aware it's just part of the show that is football, and isn't against using it himself if suits. We tried to sign a player, stumped up the fee, the player said sorry I have my heart set on another team. Fair enough. I don't know why Klopp would have any reason to be angry with anyone within the club. He runs the club.
19.) 13 Aug 2023 14:11:50
Am I the only person who isn’t completely pessimistic about this? Of course it would have been good if Caicedo come in, but we were late to the table with this one. It’s hardly a saga or whatever the media are reporting it as with Lavia, we valued him at a certain amount and were in negotiations. We haven’t been a “shambles” or a “pantomime” and Caicedo is not a mercenary for wanting to go to a club that has been trying to sign him since May. People need to get over themselves and stop reading the media and believing stuff on twitter. It’s hardly a trusted source, it’s just silly people’s opinions.
20.) 13 Aug 2023 23:44:01
Colin - I'm with you, but typically not pessimistic about most things lol. Some of the fanbase have taken themselves back to pre-FSG times. I get that, but for me we are in a far stronger position to bounce back from a season like last than we have at that time.
I like where we're at and am looking forward to see whoever it is we bring in to the club before deadline. if it's no one, then let's go on and smash it with who we have. We brought on two thoroughbreds in Elliot and Jones today and we didn't have Baj or thiago on the bench. So with that base, we can only build on it and get better and I won't be wasting energy getting depressed until new players come in!
27 Jul 2023 07:09:56
Seen a report linking Liverpool with Piero Hincapie from Leverkusen.
I believe the last comment on him stated Liverpool were not interested (other PL clubs were) .
Not sure if this is still the case now other targets, namely Colwill, seem less attainable?
{Ed002's Note - Someone is teasing you about PH I am afraid.}
08 Jul 2023 13:17:07
Question for the Eds
When we sign Mbappe, Valverde and Gvardiol do you think we'll need to sell Rhys Williams and Maybe Nat Phillips to free up the relevant funds?
1.) 08 Jul 2023 15:29:13
It’ll definitely help with wages.
2.) 08 Jul 2023 17:10:51
The money we get for Rhys Williams should more than cover the fees paid for those 3 and also leave us some spare change to get Thuram.
3.) 08 Jul 2023 22:35:17
It’s already underway Rhys went on loan two weeks ago.
4.) 09 Jul 2023 15:03:31
I think it depends on if Pep Lijnders takes a pay cut, now he's getting book royalties.
5.) 09 Jul 2023 17:33:45
Sorry but these posts are getting painful. Constant tongue in cheek posts about getting mpabbe secretly hoping the Ed’s say we are really in for him. As a daily reader of the site it’s getting tiresome. As are the constant questions about the same people. I’ve been a regular lurker on the site, occasion poster for well over 10 years but it’s getting worse this window and I’m getting a little sick of the same old crap every day. Not hard to read through the last day or 2’s worth of posts before asking a question. No offence aimed at anyone in particular just starting to grate on me a little. The Mbappe joke was funny the first time!
6.) 09 Jul 2023 17:41:50
Tom27, you must be fun at parties but you do have a point. Its funnier that reporters are making up stories and get away with it.
7.) 09 Jul 2023 20:31:14
Tom27, all that humor flew right over your head. Comedy is clearly not your thing. Cheers, man.
8.) 09 Jul 2023 21:38:55
Comedy is funny the first time. You repeat the same joke over and over and it gets old fast. Honestly read through this page and the banter ones and you’ll see this joke numerous times. ‘Are we selling x and y to fund Mbappe’ ‘do you think he’ll go in the under 21s or a squad player’. Funnily enough I am actually a right laugh at parties. Been smashing it up in Crete on holiday the past few days and am the life and soul of the party! Haha.
9.) 09 Jul 2023 21:54:31
There was no humour in any of the posts. The op was ? correct. And some say we have the best fans in the world ?.
10.) 10 Jul 2023 09:35:38
Instagram generation fans find the same stuff funny over and over again.
Unfortunately, the success a few years ago attracted a bunch of them.
Let's hope a season in the Europa League gets rid of them.
11.) 10 Jul 2023 10:40:55
When I was younger I told my friends I was going to be a comedian and they laughed at me …. Well they aren’t laughing now (Bob Monkhouse)
A discourse on the theory of comedy, we aren’t laughing now eh?
26 Jun 2017 22:58:52
Keita wants to leave and Liverpool will have a bid of 68M + add ons accepted within a fortnight.
YNWA.
1.) 26 Jun 2017 23:35:59
Nostradamus?
2.) 26 Jun 2017 23:42:45
why no other teams after him and only Liverpool? Any obvious reason?
Why not Spurs, Juv, RM, Barcelona after him if he is so good.
Cheers.
3.) 27 Jun 2017 00:00:17
Got Saturday's winning lottery numbers as well while yer at it there Mystic Meg?
4.) 26 Jun 2017 23:53:53
Decent.
5.) 27 Jun 2017 00:20:29
I don't see it happening. Great if it does not the end of the world if it doesn't.
6.) 27 Jun 2017 00:27:37
Awesome Skezza, what's the lotto numbers next week?
7.) 27 Jun 2017 00:48:40
No bids have been placed for Ox and Keita.
8.) 27 Jun 2017 03:13:14
Because they don't need him £68m bad.
9.) 27 Jun 2017 06:07:20
Couple of general questions about the transfer process here. Apologies if done already. During the transfer window we all get a bit excited when we read these headlines; 'Liverppol bid £xxxm for player y' etc. How long is it taking these journos to get the information and how much time are the club investing into completing these deals. When I went to bed, no bids submitted for Ox or Keita, wake up and reports of bids. (10pm - 5am) Do they (whoever 'they' are) work round the clock until a deal is done? Work nights, get em drunk and try and get away with a lower offer? Are they in teams working shifts? My estimation is that the people involved in a transfer are normal people with families and need to go home to eat and sleep like we all do. I reckon the media are either getting info late or are fabricating stories for paper sales. (Probably the latter) .
{Ed001's Note - it is the latter usually. It is very very rare that bids go in. However it is not exciting enough for the tabloids to say that Liverpool phoned up to ask if X is available for transfer. That is not a story, but Liverpool putting in a bid for X sounds exciting, even if it is not true.}
10.) 27 Jun 2017 07:31:42
Ed1, may I ask how a deal is worked out after the initial contact please? For example, Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Player Y (for this case we'll assume they haven't tapped him up) . How would a fee be calculated from there? Is it as simple as finding a middle ground between what the buying club wish to pay and what the selling club wish to receive?
Thanks.
{Ed001's Note - not quite that simple, as there is also the details such as when the payments are received, in what amounts at a time, if there are add ons, potentially buy-back clauses and many other minor details too.}
11.) 27 Jun 2017 07:54:53
Maxlfc, Nostradamus is to become our chief scout ðŸ˜.
12.) 27 Jun 2017 08:41:14
I have also heard that our home kit next season will be Red and we'll be fielding 11 players for our first game.
13.) 27 Jun 2017 08:22:52
Thanks Ed1. Is it the minor details details that usually make the negotiations last so long or is it just the overall process?
{Ed001's Note - usually ironing out the details, though payment terms are not really minor.}
14.) 27 Jun 2017 09:36:25
11 players all in red Skezza? Now there's a scoop! We are playing with no keeper next season! Mind you some would say we've had no keeper for the last 4 years. ;-)
15.) 28 Jun 2017 16:36:34
Tbf to skezza lallanas banana he said wed play in red and have 11 players on the field, not 11 players in red 🤣😉.

31 Aug 2024 08:21:29
Ok reds, we're obviously a bit short in in CM and CB this season, but that will open doors for certain players.
Does anyone here who watches or keeps track of the younger players think there will be any breakout players this season?
I'm looking forward to seeing Morton and Nyoni's development personally.
Any young upcoming CBs we should keep our eyes on!?
1.) 31 Aug 2024 08:45:19
I mean we have 4 CBs in the first team. obviously injuries are a worry, but 4 CBs is pretty much what every team will have at CB.
With Sepp gone, I don't know who to look out for anymore haha. so guess we'll have to see who rises through the ranks but equally, hopefully we don't have to see them this season!
2.) 31 Aug 2024 09:01:19
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Endo as our emergency 5th choice centre back if needs must.
He’s played there before.
3.) 31 Aug 2024 09:39:31
Apart from the one season when we had our first 4 cbs injured I can’t remember when we had to play our 5th choice centre back. I think we should be ok and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nallo as out 5th choice given the way he is progressing through the age groups.
28 Aug 2024 13:37:28
I don't know about everyone else but I'm very excited about the arrival of Chiesa. He was literally one of the best players in the world a few years ago, he's only 26 and can hopefully reach those heights again.
Love being a red.
1.) 28 Aug 2024 14:09:43
Then had a serious injury and not the same player now
Up the pool.
2.) 28 Aug 2024 14:12:56
I am excited too. Hopefully the medical goes well.
3.) 28 Aug 2024 14:17:05
Atleast this signing seems less weird than Mamardashvilli. If prices mentioned are correct, its a punt worth taking.
4.) 28 Aug 2024 14:27:08
I don't get really excited about signings anymore but this signing feels different. I think it's because we're signing an actual superstar from another European giant. It's not someone about to go into their twilight years like with Thiago Alcantara, Maxi Rodriguez or Fernando Morientes. It's not even someone with unfulfilled potential like Phillipe Coutinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Sturridge or Antonio Nunez were. It's somebody who's already been a key player at a massive club and is just about to hit their prime. When did we last do that? I'm sure we have and I'm probably just having a mind blank, but it's rare we sign a player of this calibre from anther super power club. We normally poach star players off clubs from the next tier down. I'm so hyped to see him play for us.
5.) 28 Aug 2024 14:49:22
Everyone is positive about this one.
Hope we get to see his best in LFC colours.
Got a feel that Salah and Chiesa will form similar ubderstanding like with Bobby, though the position will be different.
Jota, Nunez, Diaz are not at that level yet. If true at 10 or 12 M, it is super bargain and worth every cent.
This goalie deal can never be understood or can't make sense of it.
6.) 28 Aug 2024 14:49:43
Always loved Chiesa. Injury set him back but still italys best player imo. Pace, power and good finisher. For the figures quoted this is a bargain and he is a much better player than Gordon.
7.) 28 Aug 2024 14:29:07
Now let's get rabbiot in for free and hughes and edward pull a masterclass.
8.) 28 Aug 2024 14:34:39
Best player in the world is a stretch. I can agree with you that he was one of italys best player when they won the euro 20, but that is 3 years ago and he has had a few injuries. Hopefully he will be a good addition to pur squad.
9.) 28 Aug 2024 15:02:02
Cannot go wrong with a 12mill deal.
10.) 28 Aug 2024 15:03:05
Along with ACL he has also suffered by playing under Allegri, who is know for his cautious style of play, whereas he flourished under Pirlo.
11.) 28 Aug 2024 15:16:03
In answer to MK, the last superstars LFC bought were Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres who were both established World Stars.
12.) 28 Aug 2024 15:17:25
@Sanjit
How is the Mamardashvili signing weird?
We are signing the player who will hopefully be good enough to take over from Alisson in a few years. Alisson is 32 and, as awesome as he is, may be mapping out the next stage of his career and life.
Alisson eventually leaving will leave an emperor-sized pair of boots to fill, so signing a young goalkeeper with bags of potential and having already shown some excellent quality is not at all weird.
13.) 28 Aug 2024 15:11:07
I don't understand why the GK signing is so odd. It's obvious CK is leaving at some point and isn't part of the long term plan. Whilst Ali has come out recently and said he's happy at the club, we all know how the sport works, he can easily change his mind or the club could see his injuries become more regular and it becomes a concern.
It was reported that the new GK was a long term target but due to his form, he likely wasn't going to be available in the next year or two, so the club moved quickly to secure him and loan him out to ensure he gets regular play time as does Ali. To me, this is exactly the type of foresight required to ensure future proofing a position that will likely need filling in the future. Smart business from the club to me.
14.) 28 Aug 2024 15:22:01
And there goes the buzz, @Old akira.
Also @StEtienneAmen, Allegri had him even playing right wing-back, as well. Been a huge fan of Chiesa from the off so kinda happy we signed him on that front. Let's see what happens.
15.) 28 Aug 2024 15:22:16
Probably fail the medical and his stats are worse than Diaz so can’t see this is improving the first 11. We have 5 very good forwards for 3 places as it is. Is he a clinical finisher? If so I take it all back and get him in? Where are the signings we actually need to improve the first 11 which is a decent number 6 who can tackle and pass the ball in tight spaces as whilst Grav has done well I can’t see him being the answer if we want to win something this season. And the left sided defender.
16.) 28 Aug 2024 15:44:09
"Probably fail the medical and his stats are worse than Diaz so can’t see this is improving the first 11".
Yikes! With statements like this, who needs rivals?
17.) 28 Aug 2024 15:44:51
He’s a £12 million signing for a reason, let’s not forget about that. He might turn out to be a good buy.
18.) 28 Aug 2024 15:52:55
It’s always great to read posts from supposedly fellow Liverpool supporters/ fans, you know the ones that says “he’s probably going to fail he’s medical”, he’s always injured, another Melo, made of crisps etc etc and it’s always the same posters who you can rely on to make these statements, Rabiot has been getting it too and now it seems Nunez is in the firing line, maybe some of these so called supporters should see how it plays out before spouting nonsense and see how these players, transfers work out first.
19.) 28 Aug 2024 15:55:31
@Lowe1FC weird on multiple fronts for me though -
1. GKs can play till their late 30s
2. CK is yet to move. If Alli moves in next 1 yr, why not stick with him.
3. Mama hardly seems be good with this feet. Seems to be a bit of old fashioned style keeper though I must admit I have watched him only limited times mostly in Euros.
4. Why about Jaros! Even if CK moves it seems we already have another good number 2.
5. We do not have unlimited resources.
But still more weirder signings have worked so who knows! As long as he dons a LFC jersey, I will continue to support him.
20.) 28 Aug 2024 16:14:33
Best thing about this transfer is Chiesa is really happy to come and start new adventure. Both him and famiky.
This is a super positive sign.
21.) 28 Aug 2024 16:22:47
@warmachine, he’s known to be very clinical and composed in front of goal, ice cold even. His goals tend to be very well placed.
I still think it’s a bit of a risky one but one well worth taking.
22.) 28 Aug 2024 16:54:27
If he managed to stay fit all of last season, maybe his form and body is on an upwards trajectory again! Looking forward to what he can do :) He was incredible 3 years ago, hopefully he gets back to his full level!
23.) 28 Aug 2024 17:03:17
Thanks for the informative reply 1985mikey. If he’s clinical then that’s definitely something we need to get better at from last season so hopefully he will improve us. I guess it’s an ‘opportunistic’ signing which Hughes did say his approach would be this window. Hopefully there’s a CM out there somewhere to improve us.
24.) 28 Aug 2024 17:33:33
Did someone just say Suarez and Torres were established world stars when we bought them?
They really weren’t. Far from it in fact.
Suarez was at Ajax so although a decent club he was unproven in the biggest leagues. He was probably better known for biting an opponent and a deliberate handball in the World Cup.
Torres was a homegrown hero at Atletico and was in the Spanish squad but this was nothing like the Atletico we know today. They were an average side so it was a huge step up for him to challenge at the top end of the premier league and in the later stages of the champions league.
Both were good prospects but not established world stars by any stretch.
25.) 28 Aug 2024 18:22:14
@ MK re Antonio Nunez.
He was a bit of a cult hero for me and my pal during that 04/ 05 season, mainly down to just how terrible he was and that he was used as a makeweight in the deal for Owen, Madrid were absolutely laughing with that deal. I didn't realise he was earmarked as a player with potential. Still, thanks for stirring those memories in me.
I loved the Benitez era.

Bobby Clark Sale agreed at £10m with a 17.5% sell on.
Doesn't look like we're around with outgoings.
Quite gutted myself I must say but time will tell if he's as good as our old coaching team thought he was.
Would be interesting to see if there's a buy-back in the deal.

If Zubimendi does but come in I really hope Trent is given some time to play in CM.
Firstly I think he prefers playing there and could hopefully influence his decision to sign the new contract.
Second, Bradley is too good to be on the bench, it's that simple.
1.) 10 Aug 2024 15:34:03
Skezza where and who would you play him in midfield with mate?
If we do get Zubimendi then that means 2 of the starting 3 midfielders could be current Euros and World Cup winners.
2.) 10 Aug 2024 15:50:48
I can't see Zumimendi coming to Liverpool. The mouth pieces in the Barcelona media would be all over it if there was a slight chance.
3.) 10 Aug 2024 16:32:01
I would rather of had varela same money but adds the ability to destroy and pass the ball very well.

Personally I’d hope we give a deadline of until the end of Sunday then move on, first one I’d move onto is Ederson, good on the ball, quick, mobile, athletic, good range of passing and can happily get stuck in defensively, as well as being a decent reader of the game.

Thanks to all the Eds for your insight over the past few (absolutely mental) weeks during one of the weirdest and definitely busiest transfer windows I've ever seen.
Time for a bit of a break now till Jan I hope. Although I guess things will still be a bit frantic over the next week with the Saudi window still open another week. How many more bids do we reckon they'll throw in for Mo.?
I wonder if Thiago is still in their sights?
Also I imagine a few more big bids flying around for players yet to have been linked.
1.) 02 Sep 2023 09:34:41
Highest ever English spending transfer window it was with 2.44 billion spent.
We were the 6th highest spenders with no prizes for who were the highest.
2.) 02 Sep 2023 10:23:51
Luton or Bournemouth by any chance JK.
3.) 02 Sep 2023 10:42:28
Kew ??
Amazingly mate Bournemouth were 9th.

I like a nice stat, even if it means nothing.

Got very high hopes for Morton too. Let's see if Slot looks to utilise him in the coming months.

They are secretly gods and we should appreciate them.
29 Aug 2024 08:17:03
Agreed with Mango, I honestly don't think we absolutely have to buy a CM. We have great options already, worst case scenario is playing Nyoni more than we originally planned and is that really a bad thing?
28 Aug 2024 07:56:59
Chiesa looks a better option than Gordon for that money. Everyone saying that Chiesa is 'broken' have clearly not seen he played 33 games last season and he's hardly going to be playing every game this season with Salah ahead of him.
Chiesa is an insanely talented footballer, he's very direct and suits the prem.
Diaz has started like a house on fire, let's hope we can keep him one more year or see where things are at in January.
Along with Chiesa and the GK, I still think it's 50/ 50 if a CB deal is completed in time. Hope Gomez gets a game soon as he deserves it.
24 Aug 2024 17:52:18
Worries me that Virgil might be on his way, he's still one of if not the best CB in the world.
I'd personally prefer him to sign a new contract for 2 more years rather than him leaving and Ignacio coming in.
We need a CB regardless so someone happy to learn and play a bit-part when Virg needs a rest would surely be the preference I would have thought?
30 Aug 2023 07:47:50
Agree completely, you can be hyper competitive and not be a horrible c*nt.
There's absolutely no need to abuse someone in their day job under any circumstances especially when you're on TV being watched by millions of kids around the world.
Learn to channel your aggression/ competitiveness on the pitch not boil over at an official.

Elliot haha, nope MacAllister filled in once again when Endo came off for Elliot.
25 Aug 2023 13:27:07
I remember seeing Man Utd fans go through this same stage after their massive success in the 90s. They stopped winning everything and all the new glory hunting fans were always negative, even after a 1-0 they occasionally booed because they were used to such huge heights.
I feared this may happen to Liverpool after having all this success and it's slowly coming true.
21 Aug 2023 13:27:52
And when I say Ramsay I mean Bradley. Ramsay is on loan, although I now hear he's injured for 2 months which is gutting for him.
21 Aug 2023 13:26:55
RB thoughts are purely if we are not getting a #6 Trent may be used there more often. I'd personally be happy with Gomez at RB and trying Ramsay whenever possible. It does then leave us pretty thin at CB.
I feel like another versatile defender who can play across the whole backline would be helpful, but then again this isn't Football Manager is it.
