L G has signed for B M.

{Ed025's Note - OK

1.) 31 Dec 2017 17:06:56
Has he.

2.) 01 Jan 2018 11:43:35
He as only just done a solo tour.

20 Jul 2017 22:07:17
Eds any truth in sacko going to stoke?

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine please.}

1.) 20 Jul 2017 22:18:06
Fair comment.

2.) 22 Jul 2017 12:47:00
And if the search engine doesn't work, try searching for Sakho instead xD
Makes me mad to see 'fans' still get our players names wrong 😒.

01 Jun 2017 21:17:10
The saga with RS from Fulham I'm totally ok with if he decided to choose spurs instead of us then good luck to him anything else? s need to be asked!

1.) 01 Jun 2017 21:24:46
We only offered him the chance of under 23 football next season and some cup runs, Spurs have told him he will be competing for a first team spot.

2.) 01 Jun 2017 21:41:01
That the real macca? Glad your back if this is the real macca!

3.) 01 Jun 2017 21:43:32
Welcome back macca.

4.) 01 Jun 2017 21:43:34
The big man is back is it true ed?

{Ed025's Note - seems that way belfast..

5.) 01 Jun 2017 21:45:28
so yet again we screwed up .

6.) 01 Jun 2017 21:46:51
Any word on clynes future macca and the right back position.? Lacking serious quaility in both wing back positions. Robertson will just add to the problems.

7.) 01 Jun 2017 21:47:41
Also 17 year old lad either staying in London or uprooting, you know it makes sense for him to stay.

8.) 01 Jun 2017 21:48:31
Yep that's the real Macca.

9.) 01 Jun 2017 21:48:32

So good to see you posting again mate.

Anything you can add to the transfer news?

All the best.

10.) 01 Jun 2017 22:15:31
Thanks for your reply Macca hope your keeping well and business is good.

11.) 02 Jun 2017 09:38:54
Finally, Liverpool actually tell a player their plan honestly. Good news for the future, better players join us knowing where they stand and are happy and comfortable with it then lying to everyone about being our first choice superstars and having them moaning on the bench all season.

21 May 2017 10:19:15
Hi Eds do you know if we still hold any interest in Ante coric? With couts looking like he will play in a more central midfield role coric would fit that left side? It may be someone would have to leave for this to happen though plus the fact as I understand klopp has been impressed with Grujic and desire to get back to full fitness so we would have more than enough midfielders.

{Ed002's Note - Ante Coric of Dinamo Zagreb is destined for an excellent career if he doesn't move too early as he still has much growing up to do - but Newcastle, Chelsea, Benfica, Porto, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Porto, Benfica, Spurs and Manchester City are very keen - so pretty much everyone and his dog. His club are aware of this interest and the tentative interest of other sides, such as Everton, Udinese, Crystal Palace and West Ham over the past two years. He has some difficulties ;ast year but they were eased by Ivaylo Petev arriving. Following an enquiry from Newcastle in January the club offered and he signed a new contract.}

1.) 21 May 2017 12:10:45
Thanks Ed2.

2.) 21 May 2017 19:49:46
Ed what do you think of him as a player? I recently read a report saying that he doesn't pull his weight and work hard but likes to depend on his talent. It also mentioned that the club would like rid at a price quoted lesser than the previous year.
Thanks Ed!

{Ed002's Note - A lot is expected of him but he has not had the best of relationships with a previous manager and two players.}

30 Apr 2017 09:07:41
Spurs and Liverpool supposed to be looking at Harry McGuire of Hull. At only 24 years old could be a good shout.

1.) 30 Apr 2017 09:16:09
I like Maguire, similar standard to the lad at Burnley but without the massive pricetag, yet.

2.) 30 Apr 2017 09:52:26
Maguire is the one for me. I posted about him a few weeks ago and all the evidence was highlighted on MOTD last night.

His reading of the game and his ability to be in the right place are exceptional - just what we need.

{Ed001's Note - MOTD? Says it all, their analysis is lacking in any substance without Hansen. He was under no pressure at all yesterday, Palace were dreadful, he did the same thing he does every week, charge out with the ball, except Palace just stood and watched so he could take his time and pick a pass. Usually he is pressured and gives the ball away. He is not top class at all. I would rather go for genuine left sided centre backs in Mee or Gibson personally. Neither are MOTD highlight reel players, but both are better defenders.}

3.) 30 Apr 2017 10:17:57
I understand what you mean Eds1 but at only 24 he has time on his side. Funnily enough I was in Greece about 5 years ago and this chap said to look out for young up and coming defender his name was Ben mee.

{Ed001's Note - he is just not quite good enough, nor does he have the potential to go much further, imo. He is great for Hull, but he lacks the pace to work in a high line, where he would be exposed and be shown up as the average defender he actually is.}

4.) 30 Apr 2017 11:45:10
I'd say he was better than Keane because he actually looks like he can play football and defend.

5.) 30 Apr 2017 12:27:04
Hi ed 001Hull were playing Southampton not Palace yesterday

Agree Maguire is not top class but I think it shows that with good coaching ( silva) you can make defenders better. still hope for Loren to be decent as part of a revamped back line at LFC.

{Ed001's Note - shows how poor they were that I never remembered that when I sat and watched it! Apologies though you are correct, it was Saints that were dreadful. No idea why I said Palace.}

6.) 30 Apr 2017 15:15:30
Maguire is too slow and not good enough for LFC. I doubt whether Keane is either but then he idea of spending 50 mil on VVD worries me.

We should shop in Italy for def, Romagnoli or Rugani prob out of reach but the Italians do know how to def!

7.) 30 Apr 2017 15:17:25
If Spurs are looking to sign him, odds are Wimmer will be off. So I'd go after him!

8.) 30 Apr 2017 18:25:54
Wimmer is a terrible defender, there's a reason Spurs would be happy to get shot of him, he's physical weak, poor in the air and has no positional sense.

9.) 30 Apr 2017 20:35:33
Haven't MotD previously had a moan about Maguire drifting up the pitch and losing the ball too much?

10.) 01 May 2017 11:10:23
Maguire? Really? Clearly, people don't watch games fully anymore and allow the "pundits" to watch them and just parrot their conclusions by picking and choosing where to say he was good and leave out his dreadful mistakes. I couldn't believe it myself.

Maguire is bang awful. Slow as a slug, can't turn, no pace nor positional sense, would be all at sea in a high defensive line system like the one we play. Sheesh! The only English defender I would take is Gibson as he is top class.

11.) 01 May 2017 14:51:29
I think Wimmer is class. No shame in being behind Alderweireld and Vertonghen in the pecking order!

He is certainly not weak or poor in the air. Good on the ball as well. My only concern would be his pace (or lack of it) .

Anybody fancy an orange lads 😂😂 Allez.

1.) 13 Mar 2018 21:53:46
For anybody questioning why the liverpool fans genuinly don't think united are that good, that's all the evidence you need. That is what SHOULD have happened at the weekend, but thanks to luck we ended up the losing team. United are one of the biggest teams in world football, are the richest team in world football, and yet still play defensive football at home to teams with far inferior resources. We may have lost the game at the weekend through gritted teeth, but united are a joke. I have no doubt which side is closer to the league title. Take De Gea out of that united side and they are not that special.

2.) 13 Mar 2018 22:06:32
AW - Very good post that mate and I couldn't agree more, can you imagine where they would be this season if they didn't have De Gea? they wouldn't be in the top 4 that's for sure, I hope he see's sense and moves elsewhere, he's too good for them and once he is gone god help them, he's not exactly easy to replace.

3.) 13 Mar 2018 22:09:13
AW, I thought the same thing. I was watching the game and I said, "Wow, we actually lost to these guys". Men, whatever happened to the "master tactician" who played a blinder vs LFC and got a win while ignoring the help the refs gave him on the day. Now with no refs to help him out and going against a team and manager, who knew what was coming and planned accordingly, he is suddenly out of ideas. He lacked the tactical proactivity to change things up. He kept doing the same thing expecting the same results.

Dont get it twisted, Utd are a big club and should be respected as an institution HOWEVER, this team and this manager who relies on the other team making mistakes and his team capitalizing on it as a game plan and DDG playing a blinder (which he did not tonight), will never get my respect.

4.) 13 Mar 2018 22:24:19
Was thinking lately that Mourinho seems to be a self-parody of himself since coming back to England.

Tactically, I don't think he was this defensive in his first spell at Chelsea. Sure they played off Drogba and didn't tear forward with reckless abandon, but he used attacking players like Duff, Robben, Lampard, Joe Cole at his peak, moved Gudjohnson, a striker, into midfield, and generally gave them a bit more licence to play than he seems to give his Man U players.

And he was able to have humourous banter with the media once in a while instead of just constant bitterness and bile that comes out now.

I wonder did being in the fishbowl at Madrid for three years (which is a long time for Madrid managers) embitter him.

5.) 13 Mar 2018 22:52:00
Couldn’t agree more with all of that. One thing Mourinho can do is destroy the game as a spectacle once his team is winning. We gave him that luxury on Saturday and the ref made sure he maintained it.
We saw the full repertoire of spoiling tactics, the feigned head injuries, the diving, the niggly fouls, taking an age over every set piece and substitution.
The only thing we didn’t see was them in our half for the last 60 minutes of the game!
They deserved that tonight perhaps the blinkered Utd fans will see Mourinho for what he is and that he is ruining their reputation in Europe with his boring tactics.

6.) 13 Mar 2018 23:54:35
I think the main thing is, United as a club, shouldn't be going to Into a game agaisnt thinking we need park the bus. Fair enough Barcelona Madrid Munich etc, and with Chelsea it was a little different, they were hamstrung with injuries towards the end.

03 Mar 2018 09:17:52
Eds just before the ox signed for Liverpool he was saying his inspiration was Gerrard and that he saw his future in central midfield. Do you think with him choosing us over Chelsea it was put to him that is where klopp would play him once he had settled in?

{Ed001's Note - no, he chose us because he supports us.}

1.) 03 Mar 2018 10:09:09
Thanks ed I actually didn't know that.

2.) 03 Mar 2018 12:49:07
I remember an interview with AOC and he said he supported Zola and Henry so followed Chelsea or Arsenal, no mention of Liverpool?

3.) 03 Mar 2018 13:06:48
When he was at Southampton, I remember reading on here that we were linked with him because he was a Liverpool fan. I think that they were asking more than Liverpool were prepared to pay and he signed for Arsenal instead.

4.) 03 Mar 2018 15:14:21
Have I mentioned aoc Is my new favourite player.

5.) 03 Mar 2018 17:13:55
He wasn’t particularly interested in playing as a WB at Chelsea!

6.) 03 Mar 2018 17:22:50
Heard the same, spud. That's why Walcott was linked too. Maybe all these players think they are signing for their boyhood team coz Saints play in red too 😉.

20 Feb 2018 21:39:10
Chelsea v Barcelona would take either in the next round no probs.

1.) 20 Feb 2018 21:49:32
Please don’t say things l8ke that.

2.) 20 Feb 2018 22:09:27
Ok jonesred would be really scared to pull either of them out of the hat in the next round.

3.) 20 Feb 2018 22:35:41
personally I found Barcelona boring, they were gifted there goal and willian was unlucky not to score more, the ref was excellent though imo, I don't see either side winning old big ears.

4.) 20 Feb 2018 23:46:18
KK7? you watched Barcelona much this year mate? they're been far more pragmatic in their approach to games.

5.) 21 Feb 2018 00:25:46
no mate I haven't I just find this passing for the sake of it boring.

05 Feb 2018 21:21:33
I know eds1 said his favourite pundit was Hanson and I agree but regarding today's favourite and worst pundits I love to hear fellow reds view.
I will start this off.
Best G Neville
Worst J Barton.

1.) 05 Feb 2018 21:32:54
Best: Gary Neville
Worst: Andy Townsend.

2.) 05 Feb 2018 21:38:35
Very few good ones for me. Lampard, Jenus, Gullit are the ones i can just about tolerate. Bilic when he did punditry in the euros i thought was quite good.

The ones i hate are just endless but it has to be paul merson as top knob. His solution to everything is 'they need to go out and spend money on top quality'. Jason cundy is also wrong on everything and detests liverpool, he spouts some truly amazing rubbish. Neil Custis is a very special kind of cretin. 'A fit andy carroll would be as good as kane for chelsea'. Need i say more?

3.) 05 Feb 2018 21:58:00
I do like Lampard. He’s intelligent, well spoken and thinks before he opens his mouth.

4.) 05 Feb 2018 22:01:06
Late great Jimmy Armfield nobody to touch him and probably never will be.

5.) 05 Feb 2018 22:05:23
I can’t think of any whose opinion I really respect.
So I’ll go for Roy Keane as my favourite because he’s always looking to stick the knife in to Alex Ferguson 😄.

6.) 05 Feb 2018 22:08:26
Jimmy Armfield was great. No sensationalism and very sensible, as well as having a wealth of knowledge and expertise within the game.

7.) 05 Feb 2018 22:19:15
Best: Hansen, Armfield, G Neville, Gray, Dixon, Keown, Murphy, Hoddle, Carragher
Worst: Jenas, Townsend, P Neville, G Crooks, Merson, Shearer, Ferdinand, Henry.

8.) 05 Feb 2018 23:50:53
Merson is tolerable for the opposite reasons to Lampard - he just blurts out whatever is on his mind at the time. Lampard and Merson aside, pundits in the UK are dreadful.

9.) 05 Feb 2018 23:28:38
Best for me was Gray but Neville runs him close and if carragher wasn’t so biased towards us all the time I think he would be more respected. Worst has to be Michael Owen, how that man is allowed to speak on camera is beyond me.

10.) 06 Feb 2018 01:04:26
The American Pundits aren't any better. Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe on NBCSN contradict themselves minute by minute. My two all time favorites are Tommy Smith ESPN in the 2000s, and if any of you have ever heard the guy on BeIn sports that does the color for La Liga, they are priceless.

11.) 06 Feb 2018 01:41:01
Worst: Michael Owen, Owen Hargreaves, Garth Crooks.
Best: Frank Lampard and Gary Neville plus Jamie Carragher, I also think Rio Ferdinand is starting to anyalse quite well.

Pundits I simply cannot stand: Robbie Savage and Alan Shearer
I will not mention commentators because I pretty much hate them all.

12.) 06 Feb 2018 04:48:50
BEST: any that speak a foreign language so i don't understand

WORST: any pundit on SKY, BT AND MOTD they are all dreadful, top of the bunch is owens.

13.) 06 Feb 2018 06:34:05
I just feel really sorry for the woman England's football team. We finally got him of our screens and unfortunately for the ladies they've got a right boring clueless numpty In charge.

14.) 06 Feb 2018 10:09:17
I like Chris Sutton and P Scholes. However P Neville is by far the worst pundit to have ever lived. Those poor England women. What we're the FA thinking?

15.) 06 Feb 2018 11:12:27
Phil Neville is without question the worst pundit ever, of all time! It’s incredible watching up haha hates Liverpool and quite clearly shows extraordinarily united affection when working a role that is meant to be non bias! But that’s not even the main problem with him he just talks utter garbage! Thierry Henry gives him a good run for his money, can’t believe sky sports have him up there as a top pundit.

16.) 06 Feb 2018 23:13:55
To be honest I think they are all useless. Doesn't matter if its Match of the Day, Sky Sports, Bt Sport, BEin sports, etc etc they all talk nonsense to generate views, cause controversy and hammer certain players and teams. I would not give any of them the time of day.

Only person I have seen who seemed quite knowledgeable and spoke anything half interesting was Liam Rosenior on a talk show style format related to all things football called 'The Debate'. He's well spoken and I think offers decent insights that are put across well. Sadly he is often paired with Paul Merson who is the polar opposite.

17.) 07 Feb 2018 06:34:55
A lot of the decision making behind who is a pundit is based on their followers on social media.

29 Jan 2018 20:00:24
Looking at the predicament we now find ourselves in, ie no couts, no Lallana we have lost the creativity in midfield. I think if we could sign mahrez it would be a good move. can play in the CL as well. Not sure this will be popular but I'd settle for this right now.

1.) 29 Jan 2018 20:14:44
If Klopp really wanted Mahrez, we would have bid for him. He's not here means Klopp is not interested and will not panic buy just to make do or please anyone. Also if Mahrez was that good, why is he still at Leicester? Btw, Mahrez is not the answer IMO as he is lazy, inconsistent and plays when he feels like it, all the "qualities" Klopp despises. Signing no one is better than signing someone the manager does not believe in.

2.) 29 Jan 2018 20:15:01
please tell me which one of couts or lallana really made the difference when we played against Man City?
Who we managed to score 4 goals past as well
For most of the season Adam L has been missing so how do now only miss his creativity going towards the end of the season?
Mane is a bigger loss when he does not play then Adam L.

3.) 29 Jan 2018 20:34:49
The players raised the game. Now j junior explain Swansea and WBA?

4.) 29 Jan 2018 20:47:34
It’s not against the likes of Man City we need to be more creative against because City play “football” not “anti-football”
Klopp’s gegenpressing works against teams like City
Where pressing doesn’t work is teams like WBA who don’t come to play football and just launch the ball over the press and keep 8 men behind the ball when we’re in possession.

5.) 29 Jan 2018 20:52:27
The criticism of Mahrez could be applied to Wij and Can lately. At least Mahrez could run at defences and open up space. All our current players pass side to side in hope more than anything.

6.) 29 Jan 2018 20:56:50
Ron sorry but WBA didn't stick 8 men behind the ball they had a go mate.

7.) 29 Jan 2018 21:24:48
I think there are other issues that contributed to our recent form. Mane and some other players are not playing well at the moment. This could be down to illness or personal issues, They are people, we are supporters so why don't we support. There is quality in the team, I don't think Coutinho leaving is the reason behind our dip in form.

8.) 29 Jan 2018 21:31:16
cant explain the last two defeats acered but can explain the 18 mathces before them
stop panicking mate calm down and look at the bigger picture not just the last 180 minutes we have played.

9.) 29 Jan 2018 21:46:08
I can explain the last two games. The same as the eight draws and other two league defeats, lack of quality in the middle of the park. When our front three are on fire then it doesn’t matter what else happens, but if they don’t, then we are in trouble.

10.) 29 Jan 2018 22:12:09
Fair enough Wba had a go but they didn’t play it out from the back much.

11.) 29 Jan 2018 22:49:52
mahrez has won a league title and man of the year. how many players on our current team have done that? this won't be popular but just some perspective.
