Let’s all take a breath and calm down. Yes it was not the best result, however we can not be greedy and win every game. We'll just have to settle for the champions league this season.

Oh my gosh. I blame Klopp. What was he thinking putting out a full strength side. Should have played the players he did against Everton, at least they scored.

But it's all about momentum, and if you keep ringing the changes you lose the momentum.

Our squad depth is not strong enough. 3 points from our last 3 home games is a bad return.

Question for ed002 if you're about mate,
With Bayern looking to appoint 72 yr old Jupp Heynkes, do you see this as a stop gap while they wait for Klopp, or is it more of a quick fix for them?
Thanks for your time.

{Ed002's Note - It is a stop gap but it is nothing to do with JK.}

{Ed002's Note - You are on the wrong page.}

2.) 06 Oct 2017 08:00:59
Thanks for the reply ed002.

A question for ed001 if you're about mate.
Would you replace Coutinho, when he goes, with Woodburn?
I personally would as he looks good on the ball and can beat a man. He seems to have good vision also for someone so young. Woodburn for me just now lacks game experience which will further enhance his development.
I am a firm believer of if you're good enough you're old enough.

{Ed001's Note - I am not convinced he is ready yet, but the only way to find out is to try him. I would give him a chance in pre-season to see. As we have plenty of options to play behind a forward, it is not an immediate issue, so we can take a chance.}

1.) 21 Sep 2017 11:41:51
It would be too big a pressure on the young shoulders. Woodie is the best player since Sterling to come out from academy. He is destined for greatness. But he is not ready to fill the shoes yet!

Coutinho is an artist! A poetry in motion when he move s around with the ball! You ll call in for the game watching him!

I disagree with Ed01. We don't have too many players to play in phils role! I saw that against Leicester when he was subbed off! We forgot to play football!

{Ed001's Note - Sterling didn't come through the academy mate. We can play Lallana in that position. There is Wijnaldum as well. Kent and Wilson amongst the youngsters.}

2.) 21 Sep 2017 12:00:53
The scary thing is this kid is 17 years old and he is this good. Who knows how good he could be a year from now never mind in a few years. To be playing for his country and contributing at that age is some achievement.

3.) 21 Sep 2017 12:06:58
Woodburn defiantly suits a deeper role where he can get on the ball, doesn't have the lightning pace to play up top for me but his close control and eye for a pass are very promising.

4.) 21 Sep 2017 14:10:05
Why isn't he do defiant about it?

5.) 21 Sep 2017 19:50:57
Tried to make a bad joke and autocorrect messed it up. Last time I do that hahaha.

Eds, If Barcelona sign Seri, as reported, would that end their persuit of Coutinho?
Although also reported Barcelona are lining up a £130 million bid for Pipco.

{Ed002's Note - It would likely do that. His chance is now, not next year.}

1.) 20 Aug 2017 00:20:14
Cheers ed002.

2.) 20 Aug 2017 00:45:49
Barca will be back in for him next transfer window if they don't get him now, they are just desperate to force it now!

3.) 20 Aug 2017 07:34:28
They will not be signing him not only cos of FSG's stance. But for that spit in the face that they call a bid they sent in on Fri, For that alone, I would tell them to kick rocks.

Wilshire’s second touch is a tackle. Vastly overrated player.

Don’t Madrid own loads of land that they sell off to finance transfers? Or has that all gone now?

{Ed001's Note - they sold the training ground, massively overpriced, in a one off deal that also saw the govt give them a brand new better training ground too.}

Salah was Coutinhos replacement. If Barcelona had offered the right package he would have gone last summer and should have. Is it that hard to grasp? Coutinho dropped into midfield when Salah arrived.
As for losing to the bottom teams, we did that WITH Coutinho also!
Some posters need to wake up and smell what they’re typing.
Credit to the Ed’s for staying sane in the asylum.

Flash what are you on about? Giving 100% has nothing to do with form, illness or injury.

Either of Dembele or Ndidi for me. Wanyama is all brawn and no brains.

Ed002, Liverpool seem to have taken steps to rebuild relationships with other clubs i. e Southampton by paying an inflated fee for VVD and Fulham by loaning Ojo. They seem to be learning from past mistakes and putting things in place so these are not repeated.
Is this something FSG have stepped in to do, which I believe is the case with the purchase of VVD, or is it more down to the Liverpool board learning?

{Ed002's Note - There was no rebuilding with Southampton and there was no negotiation for the price. FSG asked for the price not the club. They were given a figure £15M higher than the asking price that was to be told to another interested side - and returned to say they would pay it and proposed terms. As for Fulham, two people remain at the club who were around when the illegal approach was made by Liverpool and they have made the situation clear to the owner. I don't know if the loan helps or not to be honest. Hopefully Liverpool has learned as you say.}

Fair point Ed001. I just think too much technology and too much money are taking the soul away from the game. I remember when it used to be about winning and trophies, not how big bank balances are.
