Just read a small article on the possibility of Woodburn going to villa on loan. Apparently the transfer ban should be lifted.
No idea if true just passing on what I read.

1.) 29 Jul 2018 18:25:13
Is that the best place for him at the moment? Thought there were problems after failure to get promotion.

2.) 29 Jul 2018 18:26:37
And cheers for that Walter mate. Should have said that.

3.) 29 Jul 2018 18:32:57
Maybe an edd can confirm but I believe they have had some cash injection from investors.

{Ed002's Note - It is not quite like that.}

4.) 29 Jul 2018 19:02:38
Is it a good move for the young lad, if it happens in your opinion ed2.

{Ed002's Note - It gives him experience at a good level and as long as Liverpool have a plan for him it makes sense.}

5.) 29 Jul 2018 19:09:07
It may be good character building playing in a team that’s up against it. if he shines it will be credit to him.

6.) 29 Jul 2018 19:40:40
Cheers ed. Let’s hope it does him the world of good. Have a nice evening.

7.) 29 Jul 2018 19:55:39
Good luck to the lad, personally I think he'll shine there, fingers crossed! good to hear that he's going out on loan though because he'd of been doing bugger all at Liverpool this season. If he cracks on and does well at Villa it'll be interesting, same goes for Wilson.

The season of 19/ 20 could be very interesting for them two lads making their breakthrough to our first team, we can only hope.

8.) 29 Jul 2018 20:17:04
If he's going to Villa, I think it's not just a great loan for him, but for them also. They need someone to push them up a level, and I wouldn't put it past the lad to provide that for them. I think he's the one exception to needing a premier league loan. Villa is potentially the ideal loan.

9.) 29 Jul 2018 21:18:03
Up against it?
Villa have a budget that far exceeds that of most Championship clubs, including Cardiff. They shouod be one of the high flying ckubs playing well.
Is he Grealish's replacement possibly.

31 May 2018 13:45:28
Kloop to real Madrid? I've just had two calls saying it's happening tonight by 7pm. I can't find anything in news etc.

1.) 31 May 2018 14:07:42
Christ i hope not.

2.) 31 May 2018 14:08:10
Vintage Negative 😍😍.

3.) 31 May 2018 14:10:41
Genuinely made me laugh out loud.

4.) 31 May 2018 14:14:10

5.) 31 May 2018 14:18:03
load of rubbish, hearing more of Wenger not too sure about that one.

6.) 31 May 2018 14:18:10
2 calls from who? Mancs? Blue noses? Klopp?

7.) 31 May 2018 14:42:04
Must be the “conspiracy” Ed002 mentioned. Klopp to Madrid and Buvač to return to LFC as manager. Zidane to take over as Director of Football Ops. Also, a direct swap of BBC for Mané, Firmino, and Salah.

8.) 31 May 2018 14:57:13
Stranger things happen but that did make me laugh
Up the pool.

9.) 31 May 2018 16:01:15
Must be true if you’ve had two calls 🤫 or two people winding you up as they know how gullible you are!

10.) 31 May 2018 16:12:25
Was a genuine post. My 2 mates surpport Newcastle and West ham. I think they must be on a wind up I've not seen any news on this.

11.) 31 May 2018 16:21:18
Is this the conspiracy that ed 002 mentioned we would be talking about mid afternoon?

12.) 31 May 2018 17:09:12
I actually heard about Klopp being a possibility to Madrid back in February I think it was and this came from an old German footballer who is trapps agent (keeper at PSG)
But a lot has changed since then and few were in a good place to keep Klopp I would Madrid will try Wenger short term 1-2 years then look to promote Guti or go for Pochetino.

13.) 31 May 2018 17:19:29
You are a bloody legend Walter hahaha! I needed that laugh!

14.) 31 May 2018 18:05:11
Who is Kloop?

15.) 31 May 2018 18:46:32
Klopp won't leave until he thinks he's taken Liverpool as far as he can. This is definitely not now. He's building a dream team here. Champions league loss will hurt him for sure. just like it's hurting us. But he knows how close he is now.

16.) 31 May 2018 22:38:12
2 calls is the new “2 ticks”.

Who else would know except a Barcode and a Hammer.

17.) 01 Jun 2018 08:07:41
Ahahaha. Bye bye Kloop, never liked you anyway.
Klopp however is in the middle of his project and loves it at Liverpool, no way he's going anywhere for years.

12 Jan 2018 08:55:06
I posted around a week ago that we have made a bid for deli Ali. Only got the info from a friend.
With what has been going on over last 24 hours my friend is insistent that it's Ali but we are quite short on the asking price.

1.) 12 Jan 2018 13:04:01
Alli is over rated and over priced.

2.) 12 Jan 2018 13:06:00
We should never have let him slip the net. He supports liverpool and if my memory serves me correctly the MK Dons manager at the time all but delivered Alli to Rodgers who declined the offer.

3.) 12 Jan 2018 13:33:12
Well that's a lie brez

Brendan met with Dele at the Hilton and everything was all but sorted apart from deeming 5 million to much.

4.) 12 Jan 2018 14:10:11
Did we offer the right wages this time.

5.) 12 Jan 2018 14:32:15
Clearly my memory didn't serve me that correctly.

6.) 12 Jan 2018 15:22:45
Wasn't Rodgers fault over the money he wanted him to sign it was others at the club wouldn't sanction payin the extra.

7.) 12 Jan 2018 16:23:51
In response to Ali signing for Liverpool, I read that the reason Ali didn’t sign for us was Stevie G was in the hotel where he met Rogers but it was late and he was in bed. Ali took it that he wasn’t valued and signed for Spurs instead.

I await the replies but I am sure that’s what I read.

8.) 12 Jan 2018 16:55:32
Forget about the Ali to Liverpool saga. I'm sure there are hundreds more examples of clubs including others at Liverpool where a bargain was let slip through the net because of a simple under sight.

It also works the other way. Look at Inter. They sold whatshisname to us for around the £8 million mark.

9.) 12 Jan 2018 18:00:26
Yeah and man u sold pogba to Juve for peanuts.

10.) 12 Jan 2018 18:09:20
Interesting reasons. The only one I’ve ever heard or seen is that we thought the wages he wanted were too high otherwise the deal is done. Anyway on the pitch he’s a petulant and dirty player who has been lucky (or protected) to date otherwise he would have 2 or 3 more straight reds to his name by now.

Personally I’d rather see Eriksen as he seems to have been the one really making them tick.

11.) 12 Jan 2018 19:06:54
My understanding of the Alli situation was that Rodgers wanted to buy him and put him in the under 19s or under 23s and Potch wanted him for the 1st team so he chose Spurs.

12.) 12 Jan 2018 19:08:31
Ali does have a bad attitude, and he will get caught out soon, yes he is protected, why, well the powers that be, want the top four teams in every cup semi final, and to stay in the top four, making more TV money, yes, money talks .

13.) 12 Jan 2018 19:10:00
Forget all I it's greizmann.

14.) 12 Jan 2018 19:15:55
If rodgers had been to one to coach alli, and not pochettino, i doubt he would be the same player he is now. I think he has unfairly come under criticism for no good reason, he has the unwanted burden of being english and being built up for every small good thing he does, and knocked down for every tiny bad thing he does. Gerrard was always getting sent off at his age. He has a lot of talent and by his mid twenties will have developed into a great player imo, so long as he keeps his head down. He is an unfair victim of the culture of two extremes we have here in england.

15.) 13 Jan 2018 00:10:45
Kwhizz I remember reading the same thing about Gerrard being in bed and Ali not feeling important enough because of it 😂 good ol silly journalism lol.

16.) 13 Jan 2018 00:15:56
Apparently you are correct. Mystery Player X is Dele Alli. but Spurs unlikely to sell to us.

17.) 13 Jan 2018 13:46:51
The story which has been confirmed by Rodgers was that personal terms where agreed with Alli but the club would not match Spurs bid of 5m which seems insignificant now but at the time it seemed a fairly high price for a player in the third tier.

11 Aug 2017 16:04:20
Alex twiddle has told me rafa benitez has asked his representation to put the feelers out for a return to lfc.
Apparently rafa is hoping to take the hot seat if klopp was sacked, quit or at the end of klopps contact.
Apparently he would be considered but certainly not 1st choice. Apparently the Watford manager is the one the powers that be are keeping their eyes on.

1.) 11 Aug 2017 16:29:16

2.) 11 Aug 2017 16:34:16
Negative Red Walter fulfilling his namesake!

3.) 11 Aug 2017 17:14:33
I think something funny is going on. That guy from sky said the other day that klopp's agent, who is agent to a number of players in Germany, did not want to send players to liverpool. Why? I expected klopp to bring in a few German players or former dortmund players. It hasn't happened and why has klopp not brought more quality to liverpool this window? There are only two available players who would improve us? Rubbish, and they aren't even available are they? . Perhaps klopp has his sights set somewhere else? B Munich? I hope not as I love the football we play under JK.

Something doesn't ring true about us this summer, I don't know what's going on. Klopp surely isn't looking at getting the sack, that's for sure. So why is rafa talking about lfc. Would take rafa over silva all day. Although rafa style is not as good to watch, it did bring us a hell of a lot more trophies.

Is klopp lined up for international team?

4.) 11 Aug 2017 17:21:33
I strongly suspect that Rafa would've left Newcastle over lack of transfers by now, except that he thinks that Klopp will be tempted away from Liverpool in the next couple of years and he doesn't want to either be out of football, or be only a year or two into a new job when the Liverpool vacancy arises.

I can't see FSG going for him though.

5.) 11 Aug 2017 17:27:21
Youre are all chatting bubbles. Klopps going nowhere.

6.) 11 Aug 2017 17:51:19
FSG + Benitez = ice cold water into a pot of boiling hot oil.

It ain't going to happen. Benitez had his time at Liverpool so let sleeping dogs lie.

7.) 11 Aug 2017 17:52:31
Jimble, they said the same about Pipco. But we know how that's going.

8.) 11 Aug 2017 18:34:50
Jeez it's early to be on the drink isn't it?

9.) 12 Aug 2017 03:32:33
For one I'd love to have Rafa back over klopp any given day. He was a genius. No LFC manager since 98 gets even close.

10.) 12 Aug 2017 03:34:44
One day, if klopp ever goes I'd love rafa to come back. Brilliant manager. But I'd rather klopp stayed for a long time as he WILL win the league if given time. It could happen this year, I'm not sure. He'll get us there. Fickle British press are underrated at your peril though.

23 Sep 2015 01:16:42
Ok this will be worst rumour of the year but my friend belives it's none other than Jimmy Floyd hasslebaink that's being looked at and might also be at the start of next season
I asked for his sourse but got the reply you just wait and see.

Wouldn't it be wonderful, If with 5 minutes to go city are loosing. The ox gets sent on for us and scores the goal that wins the league.

{Ed025's Note - you would be gutted walter.. :)

1.) 04 May 2019 10:18:14
Are you ill Walter? A post filled with optimism, what's going on?

2.) 04 May 2019 12:07:22
It wouldn’t have been negative Walter if he has spelled “losing” correctly.

3.) 04 May 2019 10:17:05
With you there, Ed. LOL!

4.) 04 May 2019 14:34:44
Were your hands shaking when you posted that Walter? (just joking) 😉.

5.) 04 May 2019 14:53:16
Cracking reply ed025
Up the pool.

{Ed025's Note - cheers redan..

11 Mar 2019 20:36:53
genuine question. Would at the end of season anyone care to compare ratings for the squad.
just thought it might be fun to see different opinions.
with a few games left there's the possibility that a few players can empress me and gain an extra point.

1.) 11 Mar 2019 21:13:10
Don't see why not, as long as everyone accepts it's all a matter of opinion and doesn't start bickering. We have form for that on here.

2.) 11 Mar 2019 21:34:06
Yeah that'd be interesting.

3.) 11 Mar 2019 22:41:56
Would be interesting. Yes Im in.

4.) 12 Mar 2019 00:45:53
Good idea Walter, always interesting to see others opinions.

5.) 12 Mar 2019 10:36:12
Yes I’m up for that.

6.) 12 Mar 2019 10:52:36
Yep defo.

7.) 12 Mar 2019 17:25:37
Yeah, decent shout that.

11 Mar 2019 12:14:32
Was good to see firmino getting a couple of goals. let's hope he can go on a goal scoring spree till the end of the season.

1.) 11 Mar 2019 12:29:35
Yes Walter!

2.) 11 Mar 2019 12:36:47
Wow its even phrased glass half full rather than empty.

3.) 11 Mar 2019 12:38:07
Walter, you're going soft in your old age!

4.) 11 Mar 2019 13:23:00
Ohhhhh Walter here we go mate, we've got some positivity in you lol :) .

5.) 11 Mar 2019 14:19:09
I agree on Firmino, but more than that I want Mane to keep on his scoring boots and win the golden one. He is a player who deserves it, not only for what he does on the pitch but for what kind of person he is outside of football!

6.) 11 Mar 2019 14:39:11
Positive Walter, never thought I would see the day. 😂.

7.) 11 Mar 2019 14:51:07
You guys are going to jinx it now. His next post will be back to the usual. 😖.

8.) 11 Mar 2019 17:56:04
And Walter turns a Negative to a Positive. There is hope for the a better world, after all.

9.) 11 Mar 2019 20:30:27
I don't just post the bad stuff. I also try to give credit too.

10.) 11 Mar 2019 22:51:22
You will be sorting Brexit next 🤣.

04 Feb 2019 10:27:36
Maybe a question for some of us oldies who's the better keeper Alison or grobs? I was watching grobs on YouTube his agility was insane.
For me in this moment in time I'd go for grobs. Hopefully Allison will make me change my mind over the next few seasons.

{Ed025's Note - alisson all day walter...because hes not a lunatic..

1.) 04 Feb 2019 10:34:38
have to say to negs but weren't you clamouring for u to sign Butland instead of Alison a few months back!?

2.) 04 Feb 2019 10:36:11
Grobs was a lunatic which is what made him insane. Think Allison is better though by quite a distance.

3.) 04 Feb 2019 10:45:04
Alison is here a few months he’s should signs of brilliance but also signs of tripe! He’s new to the league so give him time! I’m not really old enough to remember grob.

{Ed025's Note - i must say i have not seen much tripe jay..

4.) 04 Feb 2019 10:52:00
Too early to judge. Grobs won 13 major trophies in 13 seasons and many of those we were banned from European games.

5.) 04 Feb 2019 10:58:51
Ah 25 he’s done a fair few blunders with the stalling a pass out I might of over exaggerated 😂.

{Ed025's Note - hes made a big difference for me jay, if migs was in goal i believe you would be behind city now mate..

6.) 04 Feb 2019 11:07:03
I agree 100000% about that he’s miles ahead of migs coudnt argue there 25!

7.) 04 Feb 2019 13:36:10
Right now? Grobs, I love Alisson but he's not been here long enough to make such a decision imo. A few years from now, my opinion, I have no doubt will change.

8.) 04 Feb 2019 14:02:08
Alisson has shown signs of tripe? Wow. Just wow. (Talk is cheap, it's actually free. So that's why we see an overabundance of the free stuff 😒)

9.) 04 Feb 2019 14:26:17
I was lucky enough to have seen Grobs play a lot of games, yes he was a brilliant keeper, but he also had moments of madness, its a bit early to say who is the better Keeper, but I really like what Allison brings to the team, and he is only going to get better .

10.) 04 Feb 2019 15:19:22
Grobbelaar came for every ball into the box, no matter how far out, and as s result did make the odd mistake. Incomparison, Neville Southall never moved from his line, not even as far as the 6 yard box, and blamed his defenders when it was inevitably headed in. But hey, he never made many mistakes and is regarded as a legend.

Allison has made 2 mistakes that have led directly to goals (Leicester away and Man Utd) . He has Maddison to thank that it wasn’t three. I love Alisson and he has been great in other aspects but if it was Migs making those errors he would have been absolutely slaughtered.

As for Alisson or Grobbelaar, it’s Grobs for now but Alisson has the potential to be a great if he does it over a longer period. Mind you, the way the crowd groaned when he nearly got caught in possession on Wednesday he will have to be mentally strong to foot.

11.) 04 Feb 2019 15:36:50
Grobs also caught everything! Anyway, don't they say you need to be slightly mad to be a keeper?

{Ed025's Note - mad yes...but not a certified lunatic like grobs stu..

12.) 04 Feb 2019 16:20:01
Great replys Guys. And to the poster who asked about Butland, yes I really did rate him. unfortunately injuries have caught up with him and he won't reach the potential he could have.

13.) 04 Feb 2019 17:17:15
That's right, Walter. Easier to blame it on his injuries than on your having overrated his (lack of) talent and skill. And the beat goes on.

14.) 04 Feb 2019 23:41:17
Grobs is a lovely bloke on a personal level, can’t do enough for people 👍.

22 Jan 2019 00:56:43
So pretty much everyone knows I think city has the title wrapped up.
Obviously desperately hope not.
So looking at the fixtures of both teams I see it being lost for us with non other than a draw at spurs and a loss to utd and with a horrid twist of fate a shock loss to Everton.
I only see city dropping 2 points to none other than Arsenal. Yes I know Arsenal won't finish 2nd as I predicted.
Anyone care to counter argue and give me hope I am wrong.

1.) 22 Jan 2019 02:09:30
we play at home against spurs.

2.) 22 Jan 2019 02:27:21
All waffle no counter argument needed, nobody has the title wrapped up and anyone following your predictions this year know not to worry, we're in for one hell of a ride whatever happens.

3.) 22 Jan 2019 02:29:21
And we don't go to spurs, we already won there.

4.) 22 Jan 2019 02:51:04
Its impossible to call mate, 4 points ahead at this point in the season is a great start though. Gives us a little wiggle room. I still feel like we're mostly playing in second gear, which actually fills me with confidence going into the second half of the season. City might have more depth but they also have more games to play, they've already dropped points this season to opposition outside the top 6 and I can see them doing it again.

The sooner Gomez and Trent are back the better. If we do win the league I feel like its going to be our defence that makes the difference.

{Ed0333's Note - maybe we’re not gonna get out of 2nd gear maybe this is as good as it gets? I’ve reconciled myself to the notion we’re not gonna play heavy metal football again and if that’s the case so be it. We’re four points clear of the most expensive football team ever assembled in the premiership playing pragmatic and measured football and that’s ok with me because we’re top of the pile. As long as the positive results keep coming that’s all that matters. I concur with you’re shout about Trent and Gomez coming back swiftly and although I’m not TAA’s biggest fan what he does do is offer us balance and Gomez is just an absolute machine.

5.) 22 Jan 2019 04:49:08
City play Chelsea and arsenal back to back, if we win our games against Leicester and Hammers and city drop some points against both we might be away with league in February bro. It is going to be that kind of ride. every game matters, everyone knows. Whoever breaks down looses.

6.) 22 Jan 2019 04:53:38
It could come down to fine margins: a long term injury to Salah or Fernandinho could be devastating to either teams’ title chances. My guess is that neither side will remain unbeaten for the rest of the season so it could come down to which of us lose and which of us draw.

7.) 22 Jan 2019 04:55:23
City dropping points to Arsenal eh? Did you foresee they would lose at home to Palace? Or draw at Wolves? You don't even have any valid points or arguments there and yet asking for counters?

8.) 22 Jan 2019 05:39:57
The dynamic changes over this next month, as City play their games before us.
They will probably close the gap to 1 point, then it’s down to us on the following day.
We need to get through this period first.

9.) 22 Jan 2019 06:55:13
There is a chance that City will have to put games back due to League Cup and FA Cup matches. It is up to Liverpool to get maximum points while City hopefully concentrate on other things.

10.) 22 Jan 2019 07:13:11
We're going to do it comfortably, no fear here!

11.) 22 Jan 2019 08:19:13
Hopefully we will still be able to turn it on if needs must!

12.) 22 Jan 2019 08:36:57
Seeing you've been wrong so far, I hope you are still wrong. Let's just enjoy the ride.

13.) 22 Jan 2019 09:39:16
Well done Walter for opening up a debat.
Usual responses about second gear even though we are well into the second half of the season.
Then the rest of "we will win easily and at home nonaense. "

Those games against Everton and Man Utd will be tricky as they are grudge matches and they are the last 2 teams that would like us to win anything. They will try extra hard to beat us especially with our title being at stake.
So those 2 games will also be tricky along with the Chelsea game which I think we have left.

I don't think City having many games to play will be a disadvantage, I think it may just help keep them in their flow.

It is tight when consiser just 2 more draws and then goal difference.

But I am hoping we do win all our games and gow on to be champions.
On paper all our fixtures can be won but in reality that can be tricky.

14.) 22 Jan 2019 09:53:32
Focus on the next game. Our next game is against Leicester. let's not look past that game or worry about other teams. We can only worry about the opponent we face next. There is a hell of a lot of football yet to be played. We saw City drop points in December, we will also drop points before the end. Just we have to try win our next game and get another 3 points. let's all just enjoy the ride.

15.) 22 Jan 2019 10:35:58
It's funny you say "desperately hope not" walter as much of your commentary would have us believe you'd be glad we lost just so you could say "told you so". Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, sorry.
I don't see us losing to Everton but can see us getting a point at Utd. OGS will want to show his team can play against us, rather than Mou's negative tactics. That will see them open up more than they have and we can punish them.
Spurs will depend on who's fit I think. Their first 11 is very strong, but they really struggle after that.

16.) 22 Jan 2019 11:00:05
It’s still very much a 2 horse race for me. Either team can win. I can see city dropping more than 2 points in the remainder of the season though, if that’s all they drop they will probably be champions though.

17.) 22 Jan 2019 11:14:20
Everybody, now come on. The oracle has spoken.

“I foresee that we will lose to our 2 biggest rivals and draw against the team in third place. ”

If you had predicted defeats against Cardiff, Southampton and West Ham, I’d be more inclined to think you weren’t on a wind up. So how about this.

I’ll see your United, Everton and Spurs and raise you City losing to United, Everton and drawing against Spurs. Wow, it’s easy actually.

Bam! City loss to Leicester, Pow! City loss to Watford.

There we go, title wrapped up by 10 points. Easy.

Some great replys let's hope we smash every team.

So we are 4 points ahead and you think “city have the title pretty much wrapped up”.

How does that work? You can’t be behind and have the title “pretty much wrapped up”.

This is your best work yet neggie 🤝.

@Ed333 on your comment re heavy metal football, I wouldn’t be too down on not seeing it again. It was interesting to see Klopp deploy it momentarily on the weekend in order to get those two goals against Palace, especially with Salah dropping deeper at times. I presume once they had their blitz, they'd sit back like they did with City last season, but the chaps had seemingly forgotten how to switch from pressing to defending (since the press hasn’t been utilised that often this season) which resulted in unnecessarily conceding a goal or two.

I think it's more about using it sparingly which Im sure has been mentioned on here a number of times (or by the man himself) . Can anyone really expect a midfield trio of Hendo/ Gini/ Milner (now with Fab) to press when two have been suffering injury, and one being inconsistent? I just don’t think he has the personnel to deliver that tactic effectively enough without leaving huge spaces for other teams to exploit or at risk of causing an injury crisis. With Fab starting to click, that solves part of the equation, but the other two main drivers of the team, Keita and Ox, aren’t there at the moment. I don’t want to add too much credence to the theory, as I am simply a mortal amongst the Eds and my knowledge of football is limited, but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Klopp had to seriously rethink this seasons strategy based on Ox’s injury alone. He was seemingly one of the few guys in midfield who would be able to win the ball back and drive hard and fast at the opposition, causing everyone to drop off and allowing the front three to crisscross the defending into a tailspin and then scoring at will.

Haters are going to say Klopp is boring, but realists will say Klopp is being pragmatic. I’m sure once the double bank of 3 in Salah/ Firmino/ Mane + Ox/ Keita/ Fab are all playing together, the press will be back. The element on Darwinism that people forget is not necessarily about survival of the fittest, but that it’s the ability to adapt in a changing environment. There are a lot more positives to take away from this season, particularly from Klopp himself and his tactics, over and above the obvious 4 point lead that we should all enjoy.

Just my 2p.

{Ed0333's Note - thanks for an interesting read mate. Wouldn’t It be a delicious irony if we won the Premiership because we had to change our system due to lack of personell? I think maybe the answer lies somewhere between the two. After the Champions League final the stats showed that the team was gassed so that’s where the more pragmatic approach of this season gave birth. Had the Ox been available this season and Keita kicked on I’m sure we would have seen the geggenpress used more readily rather than sparingly. It’s all academic though we’re 4 clear at the top and gonna win the league. Enjoy the rest of the ride fella.

You tell me Ron cos like you, I have no idea how that works. So let me get this straight. City who are 4 points back have the PL wrapped up YET LFC who are 4 points ahead don't? Yeah OP, I'll have what you're having. No scratch that. No thanks.

Seriously tho, one game at a time, people. If City do drop points vs Arsenal and/ or Chelsea, it ain't going to matter if we don't do our job and take care of our own business first. Handle your business first and if we get help, it should be a bonus and nothing more.

For what it’s worth I said in mid December that if we can get to 26 games and have only lost 1 or 2 then I fancy us to do it, slightly tempered by our defensive injuries and Gini being out, how we missed him v Palace.
Anyway City have some tough fixtures as well in Feb so for me the thing will probably be very clear by March 1st. We should factor in our inexperience in getting over the line, but this group looks resilient and determined to do it. City could pull off something amazing as clearly they have that in their locker. With Man U on the up and up they will have a massive say in things in playing both the top two contenders, Spurs are suffering greatly with a thin squad and Chelsea are in topsy turvy mode so, for me if we get 4 pats from Everton and United away then we should be in business. We just must not draw games, 3 pts now matter how we play, City will win the majority of theirs and maybe lose 1 and draw 1, tense times ahead 🤞🏻.

23.) 22 Jan 2019 20:34:22
so when ox is back, are we going to start playing heavy metal 4-3-3 with salah on the wing again and firmino up top? IMO salah is better when he gets the ball on the wing. firmino has good hold up play as striker and ox is able to drive the midfeild. Its our best team and i hope we use it for the knockout stages instead of the limp performances against psg and man city.

I’m slightly at a loss why Keita hasn’t been deployed in that offensive forward position that Ox sometimes had in a 3, with Salah out wide and Firmino up top?
Surely that’s Keita’s best position too?
We paid over €60 million for Keita and have shoe-horned him out left and right, odd?

Very true edd 2, it won't be the last player either. To be fair all clubs have done this in the past but our record over last few years not been great.

{Ed002's Note - I'm not sure all of the clubs have done this.}

Fully expect Arsenal to be challenging, might close the gap to around 10 points this coming season.
Just a few new additions and watch them take off.
