Is Mandi from Betis still being considered? Apparently his contact is up at the end of the season.
{Ed002's Note - Aissa Mandi (CB) Real Betis CB who Newcastle have an interest in. West Ham were interested 18 months ago but not convinced, and instead opted for young prospect Goncalo Cardoso. Real Betis would sell at the right price. For Liverpool he would be a Lovren replacement and financially perhaps using Nathanial Phillips makes more sense, particularly given he is 29 and not HG. Fenerbahce have had talks with Real Betis. Another who would be off the AFCON and and I am not aware of approach to his club by Liverpool. Makes no sense.}

Phillips is far better than Mandi.

We aren’t using Philips though for some reason, Williams is favoured over him and no one can understand why. Williams has potential but he’s a liability at the moment and with the league being on a knife edge we need to play the better players for every position. Phillips has shown to be far more competent and yet can’t get a look in, so we need a CB in jan.

Real Madrid have shifted their interest from Cavani to Suarez because they feel the Napoli man is too expensive and doesn't represent as much value for money as his compatriot {Ed002's Note -Real Madrid has another player in mind right now - there is some distance to go with their shopping.}

Gakpo and Diaz are far better players than Darwin. I agree with Ron, what are his strengths exactly? He can't dribble, he can't finish, his touch is abysmal. He can pick a pass but he often makes the strangest decisions when he has the ball.
