Good morning Ed001. Just wondering what your view on Camacho is please. Rumours are going around that Wolves could be in for him which would make sense and would be a good move for him I believe as I really like their manager. He seems to prefer to be a winger and I think he scored a few the other day. I fear he would have very little chance to succeed with us given his preferred starting position which is a shame. Love to hear your views.

Cornishmendoitdrekly

{Ed001's Note - I expect him to leave.}

1.) 17 Apr 2019 10:38:08
whilst it is disapointing to here that he will leave, i am expecting us to receive a decent sum for him.

i think this, along with a shift in prices, means we are actually seeing a nice return on investment for our academy.

he could of been a good player for us but we move on, we have plenty of other players coming through.

i think we need a sustainable youth team that both supplements our first team as well as bringing in an income that can help fund further youth development!

ed do you think the wolves link is merely putting Portuguese together or is there some substance?

{Ed002's Note - There is substance to two clubs being interested and one of those is Wolves.}

Morning Ed's. Sorry to hear your sponsors/ advertisers backed out. I have supported and even suggested the donate option in the past and we all looked at ways at how people could benefit from supporting the site so long as it wasn't to the detriment of others who had other "strains on their resources".

I have donated already and intend to continue in the future but I feel I need to bring something to your attention. I really don't want to sound ungrateful but I am not sure about the Liver Bird logo next to contributors names. It is a bit like school dinners where the poor kids got theirs in a brown paper bag and were ridiculed for it. I would prefer to remain anonymous with regard to any donations I make and although it would feel great to show that we are supporting the site it may cause animosity.

Once again, please don't think I am being awkward or righteous as I am incredibly thankful for everything you guys do for us.
Good Luck
Gary - YNWA.

Cornishmendoitdrekly

{Ed033's Note - you don't have to have the Liverbird Badge

1.) 16 May 2019 12:54:01
Got to disagree. In theory you can have a badge for 1p. it would be different if there was different badges dependant on how much you donated, but there’s not 🤝.

2.) 16 May 2019 14:21:39
To true benny boy totally agree with you
Up the pool.

3.) 16 May 2019 14:54:20
Agree benny baller!

4.) 16 May 2019 14:55:37
Have sent you gents something - not enough compared to what you do for us all Eds, but then nothing would be. Thanks for an awesome season and for all that you put into this site.

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate.}

5.) 17 May 2019 21:07:10
A would love to donate myself but unfortuanly i am struggling to make ends meat for my wife and 3 kids at mo, due to no fault of my own. I have worked as a groundworker since day i left school 27yrs ago but before xmas a young labourer jumped on a 10tonne dumper and instead of going forward he reversed straight over the top of me. Altho am lucky to be a live a certianly don't ferl lucky as my body is a mess and have ended up with serious head injuries. Hopfully a can have the surgerys needed to get myself back to work as i am not in a good place at mo without been able to work life is worthless, anyway hopfully things tuen around in thw future and hopfully i can return to work this is my main goal and if i do then i will start to donate as it reallyis a fabulous site and gives me alittle lift on a daily basis. But apoliguies eds i really wish i could donate to help you guys out for your great work! YNWA.

{Ed001's Note - I am so sorry to hear about that mate. I am just glad you are alive and well and able to post. Fingers crossed for a full recovery.}

6.) 17 May 2019 21:22:36
Thanks ed01.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate.}

Just wanted to say thank you to the Utd fans on their page. I know it hurts but thank you for the kind comments. It truly has been an historic evening. YNWA.

Feeling a bit flat after watching Utd vs City. Shouldn’t be worrying about other results and I certainly won’t blame our position on dropped points. IF we don’t win the league this year there will only be one thing to consider - City were better than us over 38 games. Very proud of our team so far and still lots to play. YNWA.

Cornishmendoitdrekly

1.) 24 Apr 2019 22:21:46
Me too, OP. A bit flat after the result BUT to be fair, City more than deserved their win as Utd well, they're Utd and nothing will change for them anytime soon. Proud of our boys and manager REGARDLESS of what happens. If we don't win the PL, it will be like losing a fight via split decision and there is NO shame in that, IMO. All is not lost, tho. Anything can still happen and all we can do is win our games and then well, hope. Let's finish the season strong and try to bring home #6. YNWA!

2.) 24 Apr 2019 22:24:45
Well said WYred and Cornishmendoitdrekly!

3.) 24 Apr 2019 22:35:13
I thought the Premier League Season was 38 games.

4.) 25 Apr 2019 01:43:59
The moon doesn't necessarily appear where people fix their gaze reds. We thought the 2 "top six" sides will do it and they have not. We only need to win ours and one of Burnley, LEI and BHA will surprise us. I predict we will celebrate the EPL title this season. One thing is clear, it will do down the wire.

Question for Ed001 if you are about mate and not too busy with the family over etc. I just had a quick look around on the other clubs pages and generally the banter makes interesting reading. As expected, not many fans want us to win the league due to the potential gloating but want Citeh to win as they don’t know many Citeh fans😂. So I popped over to their page and you are the most regular poster with your “review of the day”. Question is, why do you think that page is nigh on redundant especially compared to the other well visited pages of supposedly lesser clubs?
Be very interested to hear your opinion.
Wishing everyone a happy and successful New Year.

Cornishmendoitdrekly

{Ed001's Note - they were well served with a good website already and their fanbase is just not that large to require lots of them. Despite all the money spent, they are not exactly attracting a brand new influx of fans other than fair weather fans. For some reason they are just not getting engagement with hardcore fans.}

1.) 31 Dec 2018 10:33:28
New fans isn’t something they will get overnight, they had there set of fans that have followed throughout but have only really been a big club for ten years. It can take generations for clubs to increase their fan base as the support generally passes down.

Football isn't a sport where you switch allegiances but they will be increasing their fan base with young kids, it just won’t be seen on sites like this for a few years yet.

2.) 31 Dec 2018 10:33:50
I saw on Twitter (debatable then I know) that the game on Thursday wasn’t sold out yet, if you can’t even sell out the biggest home game of the season then what does that tell you.

3.) 31 Dec 2018 11:27:26
Eds is it true they want to make the stadium bigger?
If so Why? I'd rather have Anfield 15,000 fans all on top of the players creating an atmosphere, than an half empty ground.

{Ed002's Note - The club has outline planning permission to increase capacity to 60k. They may devcide to do it or may not due to the cost.}

4.) 31 Dec 2018 11:42:06
A quick search on their website shows that most of their remaining games are on general sale, ours is restricted to fans who have attended a game there before.

As I said above they don’t have a huge fan base, but it will get bigger over time.

5.) 31 Dec 2018 11:10:14
Thanks for your reply Ed. My old man is a Citeh fan and is in his early seventies but was never really vocal about it until the last few years- you can imagine the banter now though.

{Ed001's Note - amazing how many became vocal only after they were successful. I discovered I worked with one for a few years but just never even knew he liked footie!}

Good luck to all of the Liverpool supporters who are anxiously waiting for their GCSE results this morning. Thoughts are with the parents as well as it is equally stressful and I can very much remember this time last year with my eldest.

What about the staff too!

2.) 23 Aug 2018 11:32:56
They are all going to fail judging by how many “any update on the Fekir situation” posts there was this summer, onviously all the kids were on here annoying the Ed’s rather than revising lol.

3.) 23 Aug 2018 13:17:47
Just remember young guns no matter how you did, prison is full of people with decent exam results and so are graveyards, while about a third of the Forbes billionaire list (and about 70% of those who made their money in 'creative' industries) either got poor results or never even took exams. They are a stage in your journey and not a destination, so if you got what you wanted be prepared to work hard at the next step now and if you didnt, prepare to double down on your work to get yourself back on your track.

4.) 23 Aug 2018 13:43:21
I think you’ll find its mostly grown men that post annoying regurgetated rubbish on sites like this Mikey, most younger people have far better internet decorum than their elders, you need only check my mums facebook for evidence of this😂.

I agree with Firmane on this one. I know Jurgen demands that each player is at their best all times but it is only human nature to tail off at some point in the season. Have we really got someone that the “front three” honestly fear their place for? I don’t think so. I think genuine competition for places is healthy and if the budget and player can found I think we should try. I don’t mean good substitutes or makeshift alternatives - proper competition that can be rotated.

Zeddicus, not sure where you watched it but I was in my local country pub in Essex that was full of spurs fans. There were three of us wearing the Liver Bird on our chest and we were complete strangers but equally brothers. What amazed me was the amount of Arsenal, West Ham and (grudgingly) Chelsea fans that were very supportive of us. To be fair to the Spurs fans were by and large graceful in defeat and we all had a great night.

I met Andy Carroll down the pub a few Sunday's ago and I had a really good chat with him. I must admit that I had pre-conceived ideas which were ill founded. He was a pleasure to speak to and spoke very openly about his time at Liverpool. He was still on crutches after his foot op but looked very fit and in good shape. He has just bought Rod Stewart's old gaff and is looking forward to moving his young family into there but I am not sure how that will fit with him having to look for a new club.

Like I say, very nice guy and I was wrong to judge him before I met him and his family.

I've already sorted that one. Our 20th wedding anniversary is next Wednesday and she was planning for us to go away the weekend of the final. Since we beat Barcelona she hasn't spoken to me since especially as I said Madrid was nice this time of year. I can't understand what all the fuss is about as she knows how important Liverpool is to me!

That is a shame as I think he is a fantastic player and will only get better. Congratulations to Dortmund though for getting three good players in this early on in the transfer window. Hope they do well next year and pip BM to the title and have a good run in the CL.

Ed 001 if you are about. If Mignolet were to leave, who would you like to see as an ideal replacement to help the younger goalkeepers and be back up to Alisson?
Cheers in advance.

Cornishmendoitdrekly

{Ed001's Note - I don't think there is such a thing as an ideal replacement as back up keepers would not be back ups if they were ideal players. Someone such as Vorm would be my suggestion though. Probably best to just get an out of contract experienced keeper who is decent on the ball.}
