Ed01 can you please update as soon as you know about Alisson's injury.

Livebird31

{Ed001's Note - he will have a scan tomorrow, so won't know anything for sure until then though they think it is probably a calf strain.}

1.) 09 Aug 2019 22:12:24
Calf strain, 2-4 weeks usually. let's hope it's not that bad. Michael Owen at half time was trying to say that it could be his Achilles. if it was his Achilles he wouldn't have walked off the pitch that's for sure.

2.) 09 Aug 2019 22:29:41
my initial fear was ACL. I hope it is "just" a calf strain.

3.) 09 Aug 2019 22:30:16
Klopp just confirmed its calf. Not sure if it’s a strain or tear though.

4.) 10 Aug 2019 00:49:27
I hope he takes the necessary amount of time to heal and not rush back.
Don't want him to do a Kevin Durant.

5.) 10 Aug 2019 02:28:56
he can definitely walk off the pitch the way he did with a ruptured achilles.

6.) 10 Aug 2019 02:57:40
I feel it's a muscle tear opposed to strain. Klopp described him as feeling like he had been hit, when you tear a calf muscle it feels like a sharp pain you'd get if someone smacked it with a stick. I'm worried he's facing a spell out.

7.) 10 Aug 2019 05:23:38
Har_red - definitely mate. unless it's a minor strain that just needs rest and a massage (unlikely) then I would be happy if the prognosis is a month on the sidelines.

8.) 10 Aug 2019 06:04:08
Faithinworks yeah a month to 6 weeks would be realistic if it's torn. The fact he's a GK may have quicker recovery time as regular sprints and constant running at high tempo won't be essential. Hopefully get good news from scan today.

9.) 10 Aug 2019 08:22:42
Calf injuries can by dodgy enough. You think it's fine until you maybe sprint or put your boot thru the ball. I'm hoping he has felt a strain which might only be a few weeks, but he did seem to be hobbling pretty bad which, to me would indicate something worse 🙄.

10.) 10 Aug 2019 11:45:36
Judging by the explanation given ref something hitting the back of his leg, I had exactly the same and it was a ruptured Achilles. Hope not but if it is we won’t see him back this side of xmas at the earliest.

11.) 10 Aug 2019 16:43:36
He walked off the pitch but it was reported he left anfield in a wheelchair. Looking likely a tear as opposed to a strain.

12.) 10 Aug 2019 18:18:35
Out 4-6 weeks, Lonergan to get a contract.

13.) 10 Aug 2019 21:51:36
They are the worst ones, where it looks like he's done f all but goes off injured. Gutted because I'm going Turkey I was confident of smashing Chelsea, have to have a look at them tomorrow against those lot.

14.) 11 Aug 2019 07:21:05
I'm just relieved we have Adrian as backup rather than Mignolet.

15.) 11 Aug 2019 10:11:11
Red Raw- You’re only saying that as you haven’t seen Adrian mess up as much as Mignolet. He’s as bad, probably worse than Migs.

16.) 11 Aug 2019 11:22:59
Cobra666, I'm just glad Adrian can kick the ball properly. Mignolets kicks were abysmal and looked like they were going in slow motion they were that bad.

17.) 11 Aug 2019 11:36:26
Mignolet has never in his life been able to play from the back like the 60 minutes Adrian was in goal the other day. already a big improvement for the way we want to play.

18.) 12 Aug 2019 07:54:25
Isn't it ironic that our keeper gets injured and not a player like Robbo.

13 Dec 2018 14:00:20
Has ejaria come back from loan? personally i eont understand it if thst happens heard rumours of that so asking ed01.

Livebird31

{Ed001's Note - he has not been playing well, so Rangers would happily send him back.}

1.) 13 Dec 2018 16:56:42
I thought he was playing loads and doing a good job? Sure I've read lots of good reviews.

{Ed001's Note - not since the first couple of games. He is playing because they have to play him, but he is not a good enough player. He is all fancy flicks and no sense.}

2.) 13 Dec 2018 17:42:16
Oh right interesting, to be fair I didn't see him as a player who would make the step up to the lfc first team, similar to Ryan Kent I guess. Probably end up a half decent championship player.

28 May 2018 05:54:01
Ed02.do you think we will target any goal keeper this summer? Thank you.

Livebird31

{Ed002's Note - I don't think there is any doubt at all that at least one goalkeeper will be added this summer.}

1.) 28 May 2018 08:37:41
I am just hoping that if/ when we go for another first choice keeper we don't do a half job. Don't go out and get a Butland or someone of that standard just to fill a hole. Do a proper job, get a proper number 1, Oblak, Alisson or anyone of their sort of calibre.

2.) 28 May 2018 09:31:00
Fans may want Oblak or Alisson. But I doubt both Butland and Fabianski will come to replace Mignolet, Ward and Bogdan. Karius will stay cuz no club is willing to rescue his career.

3.) 28 May 2018 09:29:38
Butland will surprise a lot of people. Similar lines to Robertson and the Ox 👍.

4.) 28 May 2018 09:49:47
Really, stop talking about RESCUING the career of Karius, no one is judged by a single game, however horrible it may be. Bring the summer and next season already. Since Karius and Van Dijk started playing, we have been a different team in defence, 17 clean sheets for the season, third after United and City, on 19 and 18, ahead of Chelsea and Tottenham on 16, how bad is that?! Karius has 10 clean sheets in 19 games, remember those as well. He sucked, badly, on Saturday, still has 10 more years left to play and could grow to be a rock if he manages to get through this nightmare.

5.) 28 May 2018 09:52:51
Hopefully Ron if he arrives.

6.) 28 May 2018 10:00:41
Just guessing of course, but the clubs thinking may be that although Butland isn't currently top quality, he is generally pretty decent, and perhaps he can be coached to an acceptable level- and maybe they think there are more urgent priorities for the transfer funds this summer?
What was also interesting was that the much-maligned Keylor Navas barely put a foot wrong all night.
I wonder if people think he is now of acceptable quality, after watching him play well?

7.) 28 May 2018 10:06:50
Navas stayed planted to his line when we scored and we barely troubled him. He’s not the answer.

8.) 28 May 2018 10:09:55
whz, stats do make sense, but please count all of his blunders, not only clean sheets.

9.) 28 May 2018 11:24:22
If we buy a new number one, there will be no point keeping Karius. He'll just sit on the bench and maybe get a few cup games.

10.) 28 May 2018 12:49:23
Yes, well, I didn't say that he looks world class to me, or hedoesn't do any blunders, but, believe it or not, Oliver Kahn failed to control a pass of his own teammate, you can check, its a Bayern - Goteborg 1997/ 98 champions league match.

So I was just saying something in the lines of "Stop talking abour Karius as if he's the worst keeper in the top 5 leagues", because he is far, far, far, far from that and there would be many clubs that would take him as their number one.

11.) 28 May 2018 12:42:53
Hi ed would there be a change in the goalkeeper coach.

{Ed002's Note - I would not have thought so, he is close to Klopp, provides input from the bench, gets the subs ready and deals with the fourth official. I am not aware of any plans to change him but maybe the club will look for a whole new backroom staff - but as I say I am not aware of that being the plan.}

12.) 28 May 2018 12:58:32
Fully behind your comments whz.
We xan be different and actually support the kid at his lower point.

13.) 28 May 2018 13:01:40
Ed- that’s a major concern for me.
We could get Oblak or Allison but they could get the same GK coaching input we’ve had in place since 2011.

The GK’s will have to do what Achterberg is coaching them to do if they know he has influence on JK and selection.

I think we need to look at this area of coaching as cananyone day any of our keepers have got better under his watch?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of what Achterberg has done wrong. I assume you think he told Karius to roll the ball to Benzema? And did he tell him to let the shot slip over the line? Karius was the choice of someone else - shouldn't he be held to blame? After all it was him the on a number of occasions has made statements about who is number one, number two and number three - switching each time? Would you have been saying this if Liverpool had won the last game 3-0?

14.) 28 May 2018 13:25:23
For me, im in full support of what ed01 said.

If there is a need to change, get a top class goalkeeper.

If not, just stick to Karius.

To add on to this. If we stick with Karius, give Ward a chance to be back-up. If Ward wanna leave, get someone in as an able 2nd choice. Butland is fine.

15.) 28 May 2018 15:27:47
Guys im all for supporting karius in his summer of need. Guy needs some well wishes after what happened.

I hope he comes back stronger.

Im not having a karius out rant here and i've stated before in other posts that the simple fact of the matter is he will never be anywhere near a top class bracket of goalkeepers. Final aside there has been plenty of evidence of this. Age aside his handling and decision making is really poor. He is a decent shot stopper but even then most times he saves shots with his wrists and pushes the ball straight out when it should be to the side. Whether that's down to coaching or not i don't know. But the evidence is there that both keepers seem to repeat the same mistakes over and over. If they are coached to shot stop the way the do it is a serious problem and a new gk coach needs to come in.

To win top trophies on a regular basis you need a world class goal keeper.

The fact of the matter is that there might not be any that want to come this summer or a deal may prove to difficult to get over the line.

If butland is signed he will easily become number 1 at liverpool. He is a better goal keeper than karius pure and simple. Anyone who thinks otherwise may just have the red tinted glasses on. 20 million for butland would be a steal in my opinion.

16.) 28 May 2018 15:39:53
I guess it is You'll Never Walk Alone as long you win us silverware. Otherwise don't let the door hit you on the way out.

17.) 28 May 2018 16:07:57
Wolverine, I’m presuming you don’t remember that shocker when Butland virtually threw into his own net against Everton. He isn’t an upgrade on Karius.

18.) 28 May 2018 16:39:14
To be fair FranklyMrShankly. You can pick out mistakes from every gk in the world. Including best in premiership de gea had a a lot when 1st arrived and as good as he was let in a few soft goals this season. I personally feel Butland though not my 1st choice. But possibly most realistic choice, could surprise a few as mane, salah, ox and Robertson have. In a better team with better players, and a management team who seem to install confidence and excitement.

19.) 28 May 2018 17:24:34
If Karius is being picked on because of making critical unforced errors, it makes literally no sense to buy a keeper who not only makes those mistakes, but makes worse and has a history of long term injury. It’s utterly illogical. I’d rather stand by Karius than throw however many millions down the toilet on Butland.

20.) 28 May 2018 17:18:42
Good post Wolvetine and MrShankly I’m sorry but Butland is a big upgrade on Karius. Don’t mention one mistake by Butland as your justification unless you want to put up te longest post of the day by mentioning all Karius’s mistakes.

I remember the great Ray Clemence letting a tame Dalglish shot through h his legs in an England v Scotland game, so they all make them. The only reason I remember it is because it was so rare.

21.) 28 May 2018 18:12:14
It’s more than one mistake though this season from Butland, he’s made multiple mistakes which is why he’s dropped down the England pecking order quite some way, in fact it’s fair to say he has been culpable for a fair amount of the goals Stoke conceded this season when he has played and his performances have been worse than Karius. That Everton own goal was the one that stood out the most, if anything it was worse than the one Karius conceded because he almost almost threw it in the net sideways. Against us he looked ropey and it’s only because we were knackered and only had two shots on target that they didn’t concede. He simply is not an upgrade. Going after Butland is repeating every mistake we’ve made in buying keepers over the last few years. He’s a mid table player at best with a big question mark over his fitness and that isn’t worth wasting the massive fee that Stoke will be demanding.

22.) 28 May 2018 19:40:12
Mr shankly

Im not judging karius on the final. Im judging him on every time i've watched him. In my opinion he is not long term no 1 material.

All goal keepers make clangers now an again.

The only reason i talked about butland is because the chat on here seems to be that he is a likely target.

When you compare butland and karius butland is a better keeper. In my opinion if he is the only keeper we sign he will easily become number one.

He has made mistakes but he also had quite a few worldly games over the years.

Butland has been between the sticks at the alamo this season.

Let me put it this way if karius had been playing for stoke this season not one person here would be looking us to sign him.

Like i said in my first post im not on a karius out crusade. I really feel for the guy and he most certainly wasnt the only reason we lost on saturday night. I really hope he improves and would love nothing more than him to be a world class keeper in 5 years time. Im just saying that i really don't see it happening and so he's not a long term number one in my opinion.

When you talk (hope) about challenging for the league and look at areas that need improving in our team to be able do so its impossible not to look at goalkeeper as one of them.

23.) 02 Jun 2018 14:01:40
Ed
I am stating that our GK coach has been in place since 2011 and that in that time our GK’s have not improved.

So no- I’m not suggesting Achterberg told Karius to drop a couple of clangers in the final by any stretch- more a longer term view about how our keepers have or haven’t progressed over 7 seasons.

{Ed002's Note - How do you measure goalkeeper improvement. Karius wasn't at the club in 2011. Aside from Achterberg being an employee of the club and therefore being fair game for the supporters to attack him, I am not aware of anything he has specifically done wrong. Perhaps he is not getting the best material to work with - in which case you need to kick whoever decided to bring Karius to the club out?}

06 Apr 2018 02:52:18
Can I hope for Isco eds? for us next summer.

Livebird31

{Ed002's Note - If you are a Manchester City fan.}

1.) 06 Apr 2018 09:24:33
Another terrible move for the player imo. Wasted 5 seasons being a rotational player at Real and not improved one bit since winning the Golden Boy award. Best of luck to him trying to displace KDB or Silva from the starting lineup. Man City hoarding up all the talent that they can get their hands on.

2.) 06 Apr 2018 09:41:57
reports are that City have dropped interest in him.

3.) 06 Apr 2018 09:49:51
Silva is in twilight of his career. Isco will be his replacement. In two years time Silva will be phased out with isco being a focal point along with kdb.

4.) 06 Apr 2018 09:54:56
Isco is a very good player imo and featured inside the top 10 ACM of Ed01’s list. He is skillful and has a superb vision to pick players. He would excel under any manager. Better than Bale on any day!

5.) 06 Apr 2018 10:24:59
Isco doesn’t have another 2 years to wait he needs to be playing now.

6.) 06 Apr 2018 10:50:41
Isn't Silvas partner still out in Spain and I think his newly born baby had some kind of complications. I wouldn't be surprised to see Silva go back to Spain this summer to be with his family.

{Ed001's Note - it was a premature baby wasn't it? He has always said he wants to go back to Spain to end his career.}

7.) 06 Apr 2018 11:13:02
Ed01 I think so mate. I didn't want to guess as it's obviously a personal matter. I think City might let him go back on his terms as a thank you for his service as long as it's not to a Real or Barca. His head hasn't looked with it since the birth and who could blame him. But that's just my 2 pence worth.

8.) 06 Apr 2018 11:20:09
My little boy Toby was born 10 weeks early, he can out at 3lb 2 and went down to 2b 11. He was in an incubator for 4 weeks, then in care for a further three weeks.

I was working away in London at the time and was only back at weekends to see him. It’s was the most stressful period of my life so if Silva’s wife is back in Spain, I understand how he feels.

Toby had a bleed on his brain, was deaf in one ear
and one of his eyes were not functioning correctly. Thankfully all the problems corrected themselves while he was in hospital and he’s now a feisty little 4 year old and has fully caught up.

If I had the opportunity to speak to David Silva I’d tell him keep strong and have faith. The work the Neonatal Nursers do and their absolute commitment and professionalism to their job is fantastic.

If it wasn’t for the nurses, I wouldn’t be enjoying my gorgeous son today and taking him to Little Kickers in his LFC football kit ion a Saturday morning.

9.) 06 Apr 2018 12:16:42
Toby sounds like a great fighter Drogie. Perfect LFC material. Train him well my man :)

10.) 06 Apr 2018 12:19:16
Drogie - good to hear everything is now ok mate. God bless.

11.) 06 Apr 2018 16:16:46
Drogie great to hear the little man is doing well.

12.) 06 Apr 2018 17:20:25
Thank you chaps 👍.

13.) 06 Apr 2018 17:21:15
You are well and truly a gem Drogie, My second fav poster after negative ☺️☺️☺️.

14.) 06 Apr 2018 18:55:12
Thank you mate, that’s what I love about this site 👍.

15.) 07 Apr 2018 08:52:16
God bless little Toby the Red and little Silva 👍.

Have we turned to de Vrij?

Phil must have been wondering what he would have been had he stayed. im fine with salah going. there are many who can replace him. chiesla for one. but mane is more important. he tracks back regularly and does it so well. and firmino is also important. aww man its hard not to gush over each and every player of our team now.

Livebird31

1.) 07 Oct 2019 03:08:41
Why are you suddenly bringing Coutinho up out of the blue? He left almost 2 years ago, get over it!

2.) 07 Oct 2019 05:02:37
If you think there are many players who can replace a 30 goal and 10 assist minimum a season player then you are greatly deceived. The only player I feel could replace what Salah does for us is Mbappe, his movement is exceptional, defenders fear him, he draws players towards him, he scores plenty, gets a reasonable number of assists and his pace means the opposition will always be wary of him.

To me that just says you underappreciate him. He's the record goal scorer in a single premier league season, a back to back golden boot winner and a PFA player of the year winner. Players that good don't come along too often.

The good thing for us is that we don't have to sell any of the world class players that make up our devastating front 3, so why even think about it?

{Ed001's Note - spot on Lemuel.}

3.) 07 Oct 2019 06:28:54
Cracking post, Lemuel.

4.) 07 Oct 2019 13:35:52
For years and years LFC fans have been giving each other ear bleeding with ranting over star players leaving and that we are a selling club and the owners are greedy **** etc. 1 major trophy later, we have become obsessed by the idea of selling Salah, our most talented player.

If we are to go through a period of success like Man City did, we need players like Salah, Mane, Firmino Alisson and VVD to stay for the long haul and do for us what Silva, Aguero, Yaya Toure, Zabaleta and Kompany did for City.

Let's aim to win all the trophies with the squad we have. Give them the longest possible contracts. Make them feel like they are at the best club in the world with the best fans. And when they start ageing then think about bringing in young players so they can transition over to the new blood gradually (a bit like David Silva is doing at City) .

{Ed047's Note - I’ve been amazed to see Liverpool fans saying they’d sell Salah, it’s like, really? Are you off your nut! 🤷‍♂️

5.) 07 Oct 2019 13:43:01
I just meant no one is irreplaceable.

{Ed047's Note - so you’d also happily swap out Mane and Firmino then, yes?

6.) 07 Oct 2019 15:19:31
My biggest gripe with Salah is that he just misses so many goals when for example Mane is more than likely to score.
It to me seems like Salah is making it all about him and not the team.
Cracking player and if he made better decisions would be even better.

7.) 07 Oct 2019 17:05:38
{Ed047's Note - so you’d also happily swap out Mane and Firmino then, yes?
===========================================
Ed047, I think most of us mate don't want to sell anyone . but if the player wants to leave (Salah being an example apparently approaching Madrid etc) then so be it . let him go, get good money for him and replace him . I am with hhanif005, I would love this core of 14 to 15 players we have to stick around for 4 to 5 years winning few trophies but sometimes with player power there is little anyone can do . A question for you on related matter, what would you do with Ozil, probably the most (if not only) creative player in your Arsenal squad, but he is not pulling his weight in training . do you just keep him in the squad?

{Ed047's Note - I wasn’t aware he’d allegedly approached Madrid Roy, does that actually have any truth behind it, I can’t imagine he’d do that but that does make a difference if it’s the case.

As for Ozil it appears he can’t even make the match day squad, I’ve really no idea what’s going on with him but he has been very poor for a while. That’s a shame in itself because he’s so talented.

Therein lies the difference though, your talented players are turning up so there’s no chance you’d want rid.

Personally I’d say let him go, because Emery clearly doesn’t want him, get what money we can and bring in the best we can, freeing up his massive wage to do it.

When we now have, potentially a great front 3, he’s disappeared without trace!

8.) 07 Oct 2019 17:20:03
It's just the way the team is set up. For example, Salah does not track back as often as Mane, but I really think it is by design, otherwise Klopp would have done something about it. Even when Salah is pressing, I've noticed he backs off sooner than Firmino and Mane do against a player with the ball. And yet, Shaqiri is criticized right, left and center when he comes in for Salah and doesn't track back. It's just a case of Klopp allowing players to play to their greatest strengths. Salah scores goals. That's basically it. Klopp tells him to go out and do it.

9.) 07 Oct 2019 20:15:55
OP, what does Cou have to do with anything or with Salah leaving or staying? Think what you want about Salah BUT as Lemuel brilliantly said, if you think that we can just replace Salah (top 5 attacking talent in the world right now, IMO) with a wave of a hand then you are deceiving yourself.

The guy is a goal machine that ANY team would like to have on their books so you had better be happy he plays for LFC and be chuffed with what you have right now (Salah, Mane, Bobbie and the lot) cos it won't last forever. As for Cou, he is old news so ls, leave him there before you start sounding like you're obsessed with him.

10.) 07 Oct 2019 18:16:38
Ed047, Ed002 has told us of Salahs agent approaching Madrid and Barcelona about a move countless times.

11.) 07 Oct 2019 18:29:52
{Ed047's Note - I wasn’t aware he’d allegedly approached Madrid Roy,
===========================================

We were reliably informed by the football fountain of knowledge that goes by the name Ed002, Apparently Salah agent approached Real more than once and knocked on other doors as well . Saying that I am hoping all of this was before he lifted the CL and now knows he is in a place where he can win trophies and is adored by the fans . He is a nice guy and he is very hard worker a very talented footballer . yes he is selfish but all strikers are .

{Ed047's Note - Roy, Ghost, Epic thanks for all your replies, obviously had my head in the sand with this one, like you say now you’ve won the CL and with seasons form he’ll realise he’s got everything he needs with you guys.

It really does surprise it’s happened though. I guess as always lots of money talks.

12.) 07 Oct 2019 18:48:28
Ed047. Apparently Salah's agent has been flirting him with Madrid, but Salah's demands are ridiculous and Madrid aren't prepared to meet them by a long shot.

As to Salah leaving, it would obviously have to fetch a huge sum which leaves very few clubs as viable options. Barca, Real, PSG, Bayern and Juventus and that's probably it. We wouldn't sell to a UK club in the next 2-3 years anyway. His options look very limited if he really wants to move on.

13.) 07 Oct 2019 23:02:30
Salah would be 28 years old next summer. If you were Barca, Real, PSG, Bayern or Juventus would you be so eager and willing to spend, say around, 150 Million (I don't think that's too far fetched for a UCL and double Golden boot winner) and the incremental salary he would want? I don't think it's such a cut and dried situation where any of these clubs would jump at it so eagerly. It could happen of course, but I think his appeal as a football commodity goes down massively the closer he comes to age 30. He's in the "sweet spot" of his career right now.

14.) 08 Oct 2019 10:41:46
ArAY, of course those clubs will pay big fees for players at their peak, hazard is 28 and just went to madrid for 100 mil+, grizeman 28 went to Barcelona for 100+, suarez to Barcelona for big money at 27, higuain to juve for big money at 27/ 28 etc. Neymar will be 28 next summer and there will clubs trying to pay big money for him- that just examples of the clubs you mentioned. If he's the player they want, him being 28 won't be the deciding factor. ( as demonstrated in this summers' window)

Ed01.is it too early to say we have won the league? 😅or should we wait and not Jinx it.

Livebird31

{Ed001's Note - don't you dare jinx us!!!}

1.) 06 Oct 2019 18:03:43
Ban him Ed ban him.

{Ed001's Note - only if I get to ban you too!!}

2.) 06 Oct 2019 18:18:42
Do not jinx it! We had 7 points last year and city didn’t lose a point from jan, still a lot of footie to go yet.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 18:33:18
Nothing changes for me. #0 games left is like having a whole season left to play so we keep calm, play one game at a time and go from there. City's issues? That's none of our damn business.

4.) 06 Oct 2019 19:06:59
Don't get me started mate ;) .

5.) 06 Oct 2019 20:12:27
Now how could you ban little ole me and don't say very easily😁.

{Ed001's Note - so you want me to lie then?}

6.) 07 Oct 2019 12:47:35
It's still city's title in my opinion if it got to the point of a 15 point gap I might change my mind.

7.) 07 Oct 2019 17:15:10
> It's still city's title in my opinion if it got to the point of a 15 point gap I might change my mind.
======================
I would n't ignore ManU Walter , they have a better chance of winning it than us.

"In the last 16 months Liverpool have had more champions league final than premier league defeats" commentator during yesterday's match kickoff. if a Liverpool fan of 2011-15 had woken up from coma. he would fall right back into it.

Read it somewhere.

1.) 15 Sep 2019 17:12:24
Livebird31 like you, I don't have a short memory. I was awake through out this time and have never forgotten those years esp. the Hodgson regime before it. This is why EVERY Liverpool fan should be grateful for what we are and have been witnessing cos it took us a long time, hard work, blood, sweat and tears to get where we have. We are witnessing greatness right before our very eyes and we should be aware of that, cherish every minute and most importantly, remain humble. YNWA!

25 Aug 2019 15:19:21
Just for that goal. his loan is worth it! 😂😂😂.

Livebird31

1.) 25 Aug 2019 16:57:58
OP, Wilson has a tonne more to do than just scoring a free kick goal which he is very good at. That is not enuff to be great, I'm afraid.

2.) 25 Aug 2019 21:05:17
Redwolf I think that post at the time was only in reference to the fact his goal might have helped Bournemouth take some points off city and that being the reason his loan is worth it as he states light heartedly.

3.) 25 Aug 2019 21:24:36
The lad has 2 in 3, he is playing in prem for first time which is hardest league in the world I think he deserves a bit of credit, his best position is attacking mid but never a winger, if his ability too hit the net from short an long range whilst assisting the forwards improves he will be valuable if not for us then someone else .

4.) 25 Aug 2019 23:03:26
2 goals in 3 games is a great start for him and I agree that you say he might be valuable for another team, he's certainly got talent to play well as a premier league player but only in the right team. We are not suited to his strenghts and we play in a way that his certain weaknesses would harm us. Bournemouth is a good fit for him now to thrive in their style and I really hope he does well.

Woah ed. echo have put up an article named unknown transfers to have fallen under Benitez or something like that! shows how popular u r!

Livebird31

{Ed001's Note - I wonder where they could have got the idea for that from??}

1.) 22 Aug 2019 11:15:22
To be fair if you read the article its only about Gary O'Neil and how he has come out saying he was close to joining Liverpool back in 2007 only for a meddling agent to scupper the deal!

Red Sandman.

2.) 22 Aug 2019 10:18:23
Ed next time put in a funny anecdote that isn’t true, like hodgson once tried to sign pirlo by inviting him to pizza express in Liverpool, and see if you can trick them into writing about it.

{Ed001's Note - we did do things like that in the past and they showed up in newspapers and other media around the world.}

3.) 22 Aug 2019 10:46:46
Sue them Tris. That's your intellectual property ;)

{Ed001's Note - intellectual? Nobody would ever believe anything connected to me was intellectual!}

4.) 22 Aug 2019 12:33:28
Is it possible to get your version of the said article if you've completed it?
Appreciate it as always!

{Ed001's Note - they are referring to the Rick Parry one mate.}

5.) 22 Aug 2019 17:28:05
The Ed's have always said that members of the media often come to places like this to get their "scoops". This may be just another example of that.

6.) 22 Aug 2019 19:34:57
Ed001 just read the article mate! Stunning work!

{Ed001's Note - thank you very much mate.}

7.) 23 Aug 2019 23:16:13
I love the stories of transfers that nearly happened. I remember lewandowski nearly joining Blackburn only for that ash cloud preventing him from flying.

And was it ronaldinho had talks with Bolton haha?

{Ed0666's Note - don’t forget Zidane to Blackburn

8.) 23 Aug 2019 23:58:17
Really? Haha I forgot that beauty, actually it was ronaldinho to Blackburn too not Bolton, think it was rivaldo linked to Bolton.

Imagine Blackburn had ronaldinho and zidane playing just behind Matt Derbyshire or jon stead😂, or rivaldo partnering Kevin Davies or Henrik Pederson.

Ed do you think it was a pen? I think that chilwell pulling manes shorts just into the second half should have been a pen.

Livebird31

{Ed001's Note - it was a pen, but Mane did make the most of it. It is one of those that if it is given you can't argue, but you can't if it is not given either.}
