Ed01 can you please update as soon as you know about Alisson's injury.

{Ed001's Note - he will have a scan tomorrow, so won't know anything for sure until then though they think it is probably a calf strain.}

1.) 09 Aug 2019 22:12:24
Calf strain, 2-4 weeks usually. let's hope it's not that bad. Michael Owen at half time was trying to say that it could be his Achilles. if it was his Achilles he wouldn't have walked off the pitch that's for sure.

2.) 09 Aug 2019 22:29:41
my initial fear was ACL. I hope it is "just" a calf strain.

3.) 09 Aug 2019 22:30:16
Klopp just confirmed its calf. Not sure if it’s a strain or tear though.

4.) 10 Aug 2019 00:49:27
I hope he takes the necessary amount of time to heal and not rush back.
Don't want him to do a Kevin Durant.

5.) 10 Aug 2019 02:28:56
he can definitely walk off the pitch the way he did with a ruptured achilles.

6.) 10 Aug 2019 02:57:40
I feel it's a muscle tear opposed to strain. Klopp described him as feeling like he had been hit, when you tear a calf muscle it feels like a sharp pain you'd get if someone smacked it with a stick. I'm worried he's facing a spell out.

7.) 10 Aug 2019 05:23:38
Har_red - definitely mate. unless it's a minor strain that just needs rest and a massage (unlikely) then I would be happy if the prognosis is a month on the sidelines.

8.) 10 Aug 2019 06:04:08
Faithinworks yeah a month to 6 weeks would be realistic if it's torn. The fact he's a GK may have quicker recovery time as regular sprints and constant running at high tempo won't be essential. Hopefully get good news from scan today.

9.) 10 Aug 2019 08:22:42
Calf injuries can by dodgy enough. You think it's fine until you maybe sprint or put your boot thru the ball. I'm hoping he has felt a strain which might only be a few weeks, but he did seem to be hobbling pretty bad which, to me would indicate something worse 🙄.

10.) 10 Aug 2019 11:45:36
Judging by the explanation given ref something hitting the back of his leg, I had exactly the same and it was a ruptured Achilles. Hope not but if it is we won’t see him back this side of xmas at the earliest.

11.) 10 Aug 2019 16:43:36
He walked off the pitch but it was reported he left anfield in a wheelchair. Looking likely a tear as opposed to a strain.

12.) 10 Aug 2019 18:18:35
Out 4-6 weeks, Lonergan to get a contract.

13.) 10 Aug 2019 21:51:36
They are the worst ones, where it looks like he's done f all but goes off injured. Gutted because I'm going Turkey I was confident of smashing Chelsea, have to have a look at them tomorrow against those lot.

14.) 11 Aug 2019 07:21:05
I'm just relieved we have Adrian as backup rather than Mignolet.

15.) 11 Aug 2019 10:11:11
Red Raw- You’re only saying that as you haven’t seen Adrian mess up as much as Mignolet. He’s as bad, probably worse than Migs.

16.) 11 Aug 2019 11:22:59
Cobra666, I'm just glad Adrian can kick the ball properly. Mignolets kicks were abysmal and looked like they were going in slow motion they were that bad.

17.) 11 Aug 2019 11:36:26
Mignolet has never in his life been able to play from the back like the 60 minutes Adrian was in goal the other day. already a big improvement for the way we want to play.

18.) 12 Aug 2019 07:54:25
Isn't it ironic that our keeper gets injured and not a player like Robbo.

13 Dec 2018 14:00:20
Has ejaria come back from loan? personally i eont understand it if thst happens heard rumours of that so asking ed01.

{Ed001's Note - he has not been playing well, so Rangers would happily send him back.}

1.) 13 Dec 2018 16:56:42
I thought he was playing loads and doing a good job? Sure I've read lots of good reviews.

{Ed001's Note - not since the first couple of games. He is playing because they have to play him, but he is not a good enough player. He is all fancy flicks and no sense.}

2.) 13 Dec 2018 17:42:16
Oh right interesting, to be fair I didn't see him as a player who would make the step up to the lfc first team, similar to Ryan Kent I guess. Probably end up a half decent championship player.

28 May 2018 05:54:01 you think we will target any goal keeper this summer? Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - I don't think there is any doubt at all that at least one goalkeeper will be added this summer.}

1.) 28 May 2018 08:37:41
I am just hoping that if/ when we go for another first choice keeper we don't do a half job. Don't go out and get a Butland or someone of that standard just to fill a hole. Do a proper job, get a proper number 1, Oblak, Alisson or anyone of their sort of calibre.

2.) 28 May 2018 09:31:00
Fans may want Oblak or Alisson. But I doubt both Butland and Fabianski will come to replace Mignolet, Ward and Bogdan. Karius will stay cuz no club is willing to rescue his career.

3.) 28 May 2018 09:29:38
Butland will surprise a lot of people. Similar lines to Robertson and the Ox 👍.

4.) 28 May 2018 09:49:47
Really, stop talking about RESCUING the career of Karius, no one is judged by a single game, however horrible it may be. Bring the summer and next season already. Since Karius and Van Dijk started playing, we have been a different team in defence, 17 clean sheets for the season, third after United and City, on 19 and 18, ahead of Chelsea and Tottenham on 16, how bad is that?! Karius has 10 clean sheets in 19 games, remember those as well. He sucked, badly, on Saturday, still has 10 more years left to play and could grow to be a rock if he manages to get through this nightmare.

5.) 28 May 2018 09:52:51
Hopefully Ron if he arrives.

6.) 28 May 2018 10:00:41
Just guessing of course, but the clubs thinking may be that although Butland isn't currently top quality, he is generally pretty decent, and perhaps he can be coached to an acceptable level- and maybe they think there are more urgent priorities for the transfer funds this summer?
What was also interesting was that the much-maligned Keylor Navas barely put a foot wrong all night.
I wonder if people think he is now of acceptable quality, after watching him play well?

7.) 28 May 2018 10:06:50
Navas stayed planted to his line when we scored and we barely troubled him. He’s not the answer.

8.) 28 May 2018 10:09:55
whz, stats do make sense, but please count all of his blunders, not only clean sheets.

9.) 28 May 2018 11:24:22
If we buy a new number one, there will be no point keeping Karius. He'll just sit on the bench and maybe get a few cup games.

10.) 28 May 2018 12:49:23
Yes, well, I didn't say that he looks world class to me, or hedoesn't do any blunders, but, believe it or not, Oliver Kahn failed to control a pass of his own teammate, you can check, its a Bayern - Goteborg 1997/ 98 champions league match.

So I was just saying something in the lines of "Stop talking abour Karius as if he's the worst keeper in the top 5 leagues", because he is far, far, far, far from that and there would be many clubs that would take him as their number one.

11.) 28 May 2018 12:42:53
Hi ed would there be a change in the goalkeeper coach.

{Ed002's Note - I would not have thought so, he is close to Klopp, provides input from the bench, gets the subs ready and deals with the fourth official. I am not aware of any plans to change him but maybe the club will look for a whole new backroom staff - but as I say I am not aware of that being the plan.}

12.) 28 May 2018 12:58:32
Fully behind your comments whz.
We xan be different and actually support the kid at his lower point.

13.) 28 May 2018 13:01:40
Ed- that’s a major concern for me.
We could get Oblak or Allison but they could get the same GK coaching input we’ve had in place since 2011.

The GK’s will have to do what Achterberg is coaching them to do if they know he has influence on JK and selection.

I think we need to look at this area of coaching as cananyone day any of our keepers have got better under his watch?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of what Achterberg has done wrong. I assume you think he told Karius to roll the ball to Benzema? And did he tell him to let the shot slip over the line? Karius was the choice of someone else - shouldn't he be held to blame? After all it was him the on a number of occasions has made statements about who is number one, number two and number three - switching each time? Would you have been saying this if Liverpool had won the last game 3-0?

14.) 28 May 2018 13:25:23
For me, im in full support of what ed01 said.

If there is a need to change, get a top class goalkeeper.

If not, just stick to Karius.

To add on to this. If we stick with Karius, give Ward a chance to be back-up. If Ward wanna leave, get someone in as an able 2nd choice. Butland is fine.

15.) 28 May 2018 15:27:47
Guys im all for supporting karius in his summer of need. Guy needs some well wishes after what happened.

I hope he comes back stronger.

Im not having a karius out rant here and i've stated before in other posts that the simple fact of the matter is he will never be anywhere near a top class bracket of goalkeepers. Final aside there has been plenty of evidence of this. Age aside his handling and decision making is really poor. He is a decent shot stopper but even then most times he saves shots with his wrists and pushes the ball straight out when it should be to the side. Whether that's down to coaching or not i don't know. But the evidence is there that both keepers seem to repeat the same mistakes over and over. If they are coached to shot stop the way the do it is a serious problem and a new gk coach needs to come in.

To win top trophies on a regular basis you need a world class goal keeper.

The fact of the matter is that there might not be any that want to come this summer or a deal may prove to difficult to get over the line.

If butland is signed he will easily become number 1 at liverpool. He is a better goal keeper than karius pure and simple. Anyone who thinks otherwise may just have the red tinted glasses on. 20 million for butland would be a steal in my opinion.

16.) 28 May 2018 15:39:53
I guess it is You'll Never Walk Alone as long you win us silverware. Otherwise don't let the door hit you on the way out.

17.) 28 May 2018 16:07:57
Wolverine, I’m presuming you don’t remember that shocker when Butland virtually threw into his own net against Everton. He isn’t an upgrade on Karius.

18.) 28 May 2018 16:39:14
To be fair FranklyMrShankly. You can pick out mistakes from every gk in the world. Including best in premiership de gea had a a lot when 1st arrived and as good as he was let in a few soft goals this season. I personally feel Butland though not my 1st choice. But possibly most realistic choice, could surprise a few as mane, salah, ox and Robertson have. In a better team with better players, and a management team who seem to install confidence and excitement.

19.) 28 May 2018 17:24:34
If Karius is being picked on because of making critical unforced errors, it makes literally no sense to buy a keeper who not only makes those mistakes, but makes worse and has a history of long term injury. It’s utterly illogical. I’d rather stand by Karius than throw however many millions down the toilet on Butland.

20.) 28 May 2018 17:18:42
Good post Wolvetine and MrShankly I’m sorry but Butland is a big upgrade on Karius. Don’t mention one mistake by Butland as your justification unless you want to put up te longest post of the day by mentioning all Karius’s mistakes.

I remember the great Ray Clemence letting a tame Dalglish shot through h his legs in an England v Scotland game, so they all make them. The only reason I remember it is because it was so rare.

21.) 28 May 2018 18:12:14
It’s more than one mistake though this season from Butland, he’s made multiple mistakes which is why he’s dropped down the England pecking order quite some way, in fact it’s fair to say he has been culpable for a fair amount of the goals Stoke conceded this season when he has played and his performances have been worse than Karius. That Everton own goal was the one that stood out the most, if anything it was worse than the one Karius conceded because he almost almost threw it in the net sideways. Against us he looked ropey and it’s only because we were knackered and only had two shots on target that they didn’t concede. He simply is not an upgrade. Going after Butland is repeating every mistake we’ve made in buying keepers over the last few years. He’s a mid table player at best with a big question mark over his fitness and that isn’t worth wasting the massive fee that Stoke will be demanding.

22.) 28 May 2018 19:40:12
Mr shankly

Im not judging karius on the final. Im judging him on every time i've watched him. In my opinion he is not long term no 1 material.

All goal keepers make clangers now an again.

The only reason i talked about butland is because the chat on here seems to be that he is a likely target.

When you compare butland and karius butland is a better keeper. In my opinion if he is the only keeper we sign he will easily become number one.

He has made mistakes but he also had quite a few worldly games over the years.

Butland has been between the sticks at the alamo this season.

Let me put it this way if karius had been playing for stoke this season not one person here would be looking us to sign him.

Like i said in my first post im not on a karius out crusade. I really feel for the guy and he most certainly wasnt the only reason we lost on saturday night. I really hope he improves and would love nothing more than him to be a world class keeper in 5 years time. Im just saying that i really don't see it happening and so he's not a long term number one in my opinion.

When you talk (hope) about challenging for the league and look at areas that need improving in our team to be able do so its impossible not to look at goalkeeper as one of them.

23.) 02 Jun 2018 14:01:40
I am stating that our GK coach has been in place since 2011 and that in that time our GK’s have not improved.

So no- I’m not suggesting Achterberg told Karius to drop a couple of clangers in the final by any stretch- more a longer term view about how our keepers have or haven’t progressed over 7 seasons.

{Ed002's Note - How do you measure goalkeeper improvement. Karius wasn't at the club in 2011. Aside from Achterberg being an employee of the club and therefore being fair game for the supporters to attack him, I am not aware of anything he has specifically done wrong. Perhaps he is not getting the best material to work with - in which case you need to kick whoever decided to bring Karius to the club out?}

06 Apr 2018 02:52:18
Can I hope for Isco eds? for us next summer.

{Ed002's Note - If you are a Manchester City fan.}

1.) 06 Apr 2018 09:24:33
Another terrible move for the player imo. Wasted 5 seasons being a rotational player at Real and not improved one bit since winning the Golden Boy award. Best of luck to him trying to displace KDB or Silva from the starting lineup. Man City hoarding up all the talent that they can get their hands on.

2.) 06 Apr 2018 09:41:57
reports are that City have dropped interest in him.

3.) 06 Apr 2018 09:49:51
Silva is in twilight of his career. Isco will be his replacement. In two years time Silva will be phased out with isco being a focal point along with kdb.

4.) 06 Apr 2018 09:54:56
Isco is a very good player imo and featured inside the top 10 ACM of Ed01’s list. He is skillful and has a superb vision to pick players. He would excel under any manager. Better than Bale on any day!

5.) 06 Apr 2018 10:24:59
Isco doesn’t have another 2 years to wait he needs to be playing now.

6.) 06 Apr 2018 10:50:41
Isn't Silvas partner still out in Spain and I think his newly born baby had some kind of complications. I wouldn't be surprised to see Silva go back to Spain this summer to be with his family.

{Ed001's Note - it was a premature baby wasn't it? He has always said he wants to go back to Spain to end his career.}

7.) 06 Apr 2018 11:13:02
Ed01 I think so mate. I didn't want to guess as it's obviously a personal matter. I think City might let him go back on his terms as a thank you for his service as long as it's not to a Real or Barca. His head hasn't looked with it since the birth and who could blame him. But that's just my 2 pence worth.

8.) 06 Apr 2018 11:20:09
My little boy Toby was born 10 weeks early, he can out at 3lb 2 and went down to 2b 11. He was in an incubator for 4 weeks, then in care for a further three weeks.

I was working away in London at the time and was only back at weekends to see him. It’s was the most stressful period of my life so if Silva’s wife is back in Spain, I understand how he feels.

Toby had a bleed on his brain, was deaf in one ear
and one of his eyes were not functioning correctly. Thankfully all the problems corrected themselves while he was in hospital and he’s now a feisty little 4 year old and has fully caught up.

If I had the opportunity to speak to David Silva I’d tell him keep strong and have faith. The work the Neonatal Nursers do and their absolute commitment and professionalism to their job is fantastic.

If it wasn’t for the nurses, I wouldn’t be enjoying my gorgeous son today and taking him to Little Kickers in his LFC football kit ion a Saturday morning.

9.) 06 Apr 2018 12:16:42
Toby sounds like a great fighter Drogie. Perfect LFC material. Train him well my man :)

10.) 06 Apr 2018 12:19:16
Drogie - good to hear everything is now ok mate. God bless.

11.) 06 Apr 2018 16:16:46
Drogie great to hear the little man is doing well.

12.) 06 Apr 2018 17:20:25
Thank you chaps 👍.

13.) 06 Apr 2018 17:21:15
You are well and truly a gem Drogie, My second fav poster after negative ☺️☺️☺️.

14.) 06 Apr 2018 18:55:12
Thank you mate, that’s what I love about this site 👍.

15.) 07 Apr 2018 08:52:16
God bless little Toby the Red and little Silva 👍.

08 Jun 2017 01:54:54
Have we turned to de Vrij?

1.) 08 Jun 2017 04:52:19
I did. For a four pack. It's going to be a loong summer.

Ed02 can you please tell me the name of the syndrome that wener has?

{Ed002's Note - It was always thought that it was Ménière’s Disease, and one club's interest in the player resulted in a test for Superior Canal Dehiscence Syndrome - but I am not aware where all of that ended up. The bottom line is that in a very load Besiktas stadium he had to be substituted early on. Since then he has worn ear plugs when playing in the louder and more hostile grounds.}

1.) 21 Feb 2020 20:19:07
What does this cause him to suffer physically? Headaches?, nausea? Dizziness?
And now with ear plugs can he manage it or are there still issues do you know by any chance?

2.) 21 Feb 2020 21:58:44
We should sign him just for his own well-being

Away games at Arsenal and Man City will give him a weekend off from the earplugs 👍.

{Ed002's Note - It has made him dizzy - hence the ear plugs and issues have gone away.}

3.) 22 Feb 2020 01:06:44
It might have something to do with his vestibular system guys.

04 Feb 2020 06:54:37
What i don't understand is when us Liverpool fans aren't bothered with us fielding an under 20 team why are city fans bothered with it.

1.) 04 Feb 2020 07:26:12
Who’s not bothered? I’m disappointed. I feel we should be going to win everything. We’re having a fantastic season and another cup would be amazing. Anyway I for one hope the kids pull us through but I’d still of lined to see us field a strong squad.

2.) 04 Feb 2020 07:50:58
Because everyone associated with Man City, from the fans to Pep, are obsessed with Liverpool.

3.) 04 Feb 2020 08:56:30
I am bothered to some extent, don't understand how Matip, Lovern, Keita etc are not playing they need games. They could play and go away after tonights game.

There are dozens of threads here about Man U, what's the difference. Just focus on LFC.

4.) 04 Feb 2020 13:22:09
Because they're not in the u23s. Neither is klopp. It's all very simple. We are well in our rights to play any one who is registered. It's not disrespectful to shrewsbury. I guarantee you their fans aren't sitting there saying how they feel cheated. They (and their board) are rubbing their hands together thinking they have a genuine chance of progressing.

But I think they'll get a shock. The youngsters are at home this time and I actually think they'll slaughter shrewsbury and all this talk of not giving them z proper game will stop.

The ones who are most being disrespected are our own u23s. Everyone assuming we are throwing this game by playing a load of kids. Every one of those u23s would get in shrewsbury' s 1st team.

5.) 04 Feb 2020 17:56:23
Brilliant response, Robbie. You can be disappointed that Klopp is not doing what we want and that is fine BUT this whole "disrespectful to Shewsbury" narrative is becoming tiring and in fact, it's not even true. Shewsbury are chuffed to be going to Anfield and they earned it BUT Klopp is not here to do what Shewsbury or any other club wants.

As for the City fans, they are SOO obsessed with LFC starting their cry-baby manager who seems to now be throwing his tantrums and toys out the pram cos LFC had the temerity to pummel him and his team into submission this season, that it is bordering on cringeworthy so why is anyone surprised with their LFC obsession?

6.) 04 Feb 2020 18:55:45
sad to see but the FA Cup is going down the same route as the League Cup, teams resting players, giving fringe players some game time, youngsters too,
I can see the League Cup going altogether at sometime,
sad yes .

02 Feb 2020 07:54:20
Ed01 and rest of red family! Who do you think is the player if season so far?

{Ed001's Note - tough question, I think I will go with Hendo, though you could make a case for almost anyone in the team.}

1.) 02 Feb 2020 09:10:49
For me easily mane
But if Hendo wins then I wouldn’t complain.

2.) 02 Feb 2020 10:25:07
Bobby but looking around every one has valid claim, Gini, Trent, Ali No, it's crazy.

3.) 02 Feb 2020 10:30:25
Van Dijk again for me - just the best centre-half I have ever seen play the game. His signing was a genuine game-changer in European football.
Also shouts for Alisson, Mané and of course Henderson. Some of us may not have realised it first but our captain has shown what a fantastic player he is when in leading a team of comparable team-mates.

4.) 02 Feb 2020 10:46:49
Henderson as he's driving the midfield and linking all the play between the back and the front. We can cope loosing mane etc but for me loosing hendo would of derailed us again. Player and captain of the season. Reminds me a bit of lucas back when he won player of year after years of abuse. I think winning the champs league has taken him to next level his confidence is high and with it his game too.

5.) 02 Feb 2020 11:52:46
Ali ☝.

6.) 02 Feb 2020 11:55:50
I think it’s very close between Mane, Firmino, Hendo, VVD and Allison. I’d shade it towards Hendo though because not only has he been exceptional in midfield (particularly when Fabinho was injured), but also for how he’s helped set the exceptionally high standards this team is currently holding itself to.

{Ed047's Note - as an outsider it’s Henderson for me, he’s been brilliant.

7.) 02 Feb 2020 12:28:55
Hendo, VVD and Mane are the standout 3. Hendo for me is the front runner atm. I know Firmino has really upped his level since the WCC but he is not in the running for player of the season neither is Salah.

Hendo has been our best player in many games this season and his onfield leadership seems to have improved as he has gained confidence from his own performances and lifting the trophies.

8.) 02 Feb 2020 12:49:17
That’s a tough one, there have been some real stand out candidates.

For me though, one of the main reasons we are looking to win the league is Virgil. The defence has been our Achilles heel for years. He’s completely transformed our shape. At the back. And with Allison in goal.

9.) 02 Feb 2020 13:37:54
VVD and Allison are our best players, best in the world in their positions. But the question is who has been best this season it has to be Henderson so far. Allison missed the first 10 league games and we won them all.

10.) 02 Feb 2020 14:43:07
Lallana - without his goal at OT we might not go season unbeaten 😃.

11.) 02 Feb 2020 12:54:17
Even Ed025 who couldn't understand what all the fuss was regarding Hendo even he has put up his hand and said that our Captin is playing some stuff so on that alone Hendo has to get it.

{Ed025's Note - he has really improved barry, i have to admit he was never a player i really rated mate but all power to the guy he has proved me wrong..

12.) 02 Feb 2020 17:08:16
I think the only person irreplaceable in the squad is VVD. So he'd win it all day for me, easily our best player.

{Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

13.) 02 Feb 2020 20:34:07
Henderson. For thinking of new things to say after games. Also, he's been unbelievable.

19 Jan 2020 19:10:42
Ed01 if a team goes unbeaten do they get a golden trophy instead of silver one?

{Ed001's Note - no.}

1.) 19 Jan 2020 19:15:19
I don't think Liverpool will go unbeaten. And the reason being - if/ when we cross the line, I can see klopp playing some youngsters. Some 2nd reamers. Use the time constructively. Hard to see this team losing.

2.) 19 Jan 2020 19:35:30
1 game at a time, if we go Unbeaten icing on the cake. All that matters is hopefully winning number 19!

{Ed025's Note - it will actually be No1 the premier league, you cant go too far back mate to when neanderthals were kicking coconuts about..times have moved on..

3.) 19 Jan 2020 19:56:14
Agree with you 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯%Ed25.

{Ed025's Note - cheers yawn..

4.) 19 Jan 2020 19:56:41
Fair play Ed I'm guessing that means Everton can be summed up by a solitary FA Cup win in 95 anything before that must be too long ago to remember 😂.

{Ed025's Note - decent effort at a comeback there den, but the FA cup has always been the FA cup no cigar.. :)

5.) 19 Jan 2020 19:58:04
Haha was that when Everton were also last good at football?
It is number 1 for me though mate, was only a week old last time we won it!

{Ed025's Note - we have never been good in the modern era WYred but hopefully things will change in the future, but if liverpool can keep this going it will be an epic one mate..

6.) 19 Jan 2020 20:00:35
So with that in mind then Ed025, Everton have never won a trophy in their entire history?

{Ed025's Note - no im afraid PB, you see the FA cup has always been the FA put that in your pipe and smoke it.. :)

7.) 19 Jan 2020 20:02:10
League titles are league titles imo Ed.

{Ed025's Note - but thats because you are not a bitter evertonian jonesy.. :)

8.) 19 Jan 2020 20:14:12
Jordan Henderson - you were everywhere. Left midfield, right midfield, defending, attacking, One of best performances I’ve seen by a player in a Utd game ever. Never lost a challenge. Set the standard from the start. I salute you. Take a bow You have just won us the title.

9.) 19 Jan 2020 20:17:27
Ed25! 🎣 we all forgot football started in 1992 and if so it makes Everton as relevant as Portsmouth 🥴.

{Ed025's Note - not really jay as we are still in the top flight and have been in europe since then...but nice try mate.. :)

10.) 19 Jan 2020 20:22:40
If you know your history eh Ed025? 😉.

{Ed025's Note - exactly juicer mate..

11.) 19 Jan 2020 20:27:14
Ed025 It’s funny that people are still pointing out that the naming change of the Premier league, it’s almost all non Lfc fans have left to hang on to mate. Funny how no one ever seems to mention that the European Cup changed names to the Champions League in the 92/ 93 season? Do you no why that is mentioned much mate? I tell you why it’s because Liverpool have won it in both.

What will you bitters and every other rival fan on the planet have left to say about us Reds if we do go on to lift the trophy on May mate?

But but but VVD got dribbled past in 3games? Or Trent has 300 Assists but he can’t defend? Lol. I like you Ed025 you usually fait mate and appreciate your opinion but would be interested in why you think no one mentions the name change on the Champions league mate?

Simple answer would be cos Lfc have won both?

{Ed025's Note - because it would say you have only won it twice virgil.. and that would make me sound bitter mate..

12.) 19 Jan 2020 20:37:49
Ed25, subsisting entirely on lemons can't be good for you. There has to be some key nutrients you're not getting.

{Ed025's Note - i survive on hope and expectation SR, regular doses of reality helps as does attending a charm school mate.. :)

13.) 19 Jan 2020 21:00:43
I'm old enough to remember when us and Everton were the best 2 teams around. It would be amazing to somehow sometime get back to those days.

{Ed025's Note - it really would irishman..

14.) 19 Jan 2020 21:02:05
Top class Ed 😂.

{Ed025's Note - cheers jay..

15.) 19 Jan 2020 21:07:27
Ok Ed so why does no fan ever mention it then mate?

{Ed025's Note - i think they do virgil..

16.) 19 Jan 2020 21:11:02
Ed025 me ole mucka I do actually remember when Liverpool as in the CITY ruled both Europe and the league good time's mate good time's.

{Ed025's Note - halcyon days barry indeed, it may be a while till that happens again but we can all dream mate..

17.) 19 Jan 2020 21:15:11
Nah they don’t lol. Anyways let’s see what happens and what’s said after May mate.

{Ed025's Note - i also do predictions virgil...the season will end by easter and liverpool will win the league with the highest points tally ever and by the biggest margin ever, the smugometer readings in the city will be at record levels and oslo will give everyone a day off to join in the celebrations, its just another gift i have mate..

18.) 19 Jan 2020 21:33:57
Ed025? Would you rather city won it? When Everton play utd, I always go for Everton.

And we have won England's Premier league. 18 times. Nearly 19.its not done though. Another big challenge dealt with tonight but we are Liverpool and we never do it the easy way. I predict a wobble, but hard to predict us losing it. City are 33/ 1 to win the league. We are like 1/ 110.bookies know their stuff.

Tbf 33/ 1 is a good price, if I weren't a Liverpool fan I'd have z token £5.

{Ed025's Note - i would prefer liverpool to win it rather than city robbie..

19.) 19 Jan 2020 21:41:52
With that cloud of red smug that will fill the city, there will be some extra bitter Evertonians that’s for sure. Best of luck 25, you will need some thick skin.

{Ed025's Note - im used to it now nick and am almost immune, but i will be borrowing that "cloud of red smug" line mate.. :)

20.) 19 Jan 2020 22:05:52
Hey Irishman,
I can remember when Shanks said the best two teams in Liverpool were Liverpool and Liverpool reserves and going by recent events they still are.

21.) 19 Jan 2020 22:21:23
Good man ed025.

22.) 19 Jan 2020 22:45:01
Ed25 seems as you like pointing out our history. Can you remember the last time your lot won back to back games let alone a throphy🤔.

{Ed025's Note - i really dont do history p1 mate..

23.) 20 Jan 2020 00:30:19
I guess we’ve only won 2 champions leagues as well then? Lay off the boddingtons Ed and be happy your city’s worldwide and will probably grow economically due Tom our success. Or would you rather sail down the Manchester canal?

{Ed025's Note - see previous reply..

24.) 20 Jan 2020 11:36:32
25 - it is novel to think that we have same PL titles as everton. You could almost be mistaken for thinking Merseyside are ruling the roost, it's so tight our record! We'll be one-up soon tho mate 😉😉.

25.) 20 Jan 2020 09:41:35
Love the Oslo comment ed!

{Ed025's Note - cheers macko..

30 Dec 2019 15:28:52
Whether it was goal or not it sure was hysterical to watch that celebration go waste.

1.) 30 Dec 2019 16:29:05
What goes around comes around. Hope you feel the same when you get stitched up in CL.

2.) 30 Dec 2019 17:06:25
Why are you getting on to the fan's about the result? We don't make the decisions my friend. Get on to the VAR"experts"

3.) 30 Dec 2019 17:26:01
Because Liverbird’s comment was unnecessary really.
VAR is the common enemy of all match-going fans.
It’s the result of television sticking its nose into the game once again.

4.) 30 Dec 2019 17:32:18
After the match, I said their fans were a bit of a joke, Championship fodder.

5.) 30 Dec 2019 18:32:58
How did Wolves get stitched up? By letting Liverpools perfectly good goal stand or disallowing Wolves offside goal? 😂.

6.) 30 Dec 2019 19:08:56
Oh ok lad's.

7.) 30 Dec 2019 19:14:19
Liverbirds comment was a spot on. That celebration was comical.

8.) 30 Dec 2019 22:51:43
it was funny but also a bit sad when their lot started singing ‘F&! $ VAR’ when they scored, thinking they’d evened it up after the Liverpool goal was given. only for the VAR review to come up on the screens and the goal to be ruled out. All the Liverpool supporters started singing ‘VAR, VAR, VAR’.

Liverpool got very lucky vs Wolves, but let's not forget Mane and Firmino have had goals ruled out in other games too by similar margins, so there’s no conspiracy theory.

It’s just a system that’s being used to make calls over millimeters which everyone seems to agree is just asking too much of the technology.

9.) 31 Dec 2019 06:58:10
Var favours the better team because they play better football. They're more likely to get fouled in the box.

{Ed025's Note - there is nothing like a bit of logic mate....and thats nothing like logic im afraid..

10.) 31 Dec 2019 07:01:39
And ed047 is spot on.

It is ridiculous. We are 13 points clear with a game. We win this league through our impenetrable defence, our hard as f##k midfield and our world class forward line.

Oh and our bench is full of highly respected internationalsm.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have a whole bunch of scouts so I am not sure who you mean. If you mean the analysis chap it is Ian Graham.}
