Has to be Mane for me. If we win the quadruple, or even just the EPL and UCL. And you also take into account that he has lead Senegal to an AFCON win and a World Cup qualification, with the form he's shown, he should be in with a very loud shout. That said, they will probably give it to Benzema. Honestly, its really been a Mickey Mouse award for quite a few years now in terms of who they've selected to win it.

To be fair, on this very board in December 2021, just before AFCON, Mo was touted by a lot of people as the natural choice for the Balon D’Or and Sadio was being offered the chair by the exit door ahead of his departure at the end of the season, as his best days were gone and he wasn’t good enough for a regular spot any more.

For me, it will depend on the CL final cos if Mane outshines Benzema then, I think it's done. Mane all the way at that point, IMO.
