Gotta say I'm watching slots tribute to Mo and I really don't get the impression that he's someone who's in the final weeks of his job! He looks to me like a man who's confident of his place in the club! It'll kill me if he starts next season as our manager.

02 Apr 2026 08:11:27
What if we win the CL and then Slot for the players he wants and changes the style so more attacking?

Agree2

02 Apr 2026 09:25:06
He could attack now, but it's not his style.

Agree3

02 Apr 2026 09:25:24
It's all posturing, imo. He's been doing that all season. Just wait and see.

Agree2

02 Apr 2026 16:30:09
We certainly attack. Apparently, we create the most chances in the Premier League depending on where you read, but we are in the bottom 5 for converting them.

Agree0

01 Apr 2026 18:36:54
Isak back in full training tomorrow.

01 Apr 2026 19:23:14
Ah, you almost had me, man, best April's Fools yet.

Fairplay, now that is creative.

Agree7

01 Apr 2026 20:21:28
It was past 12 so Florian is the fool but with the way he has been sticking up for Slot it does not come as a surprise. 😜

Agree7

01 Apr 2026 20:35:07
Slot said he's back but will still be a while before he can start games. Could be an option off the bench fairly soon though. Salah and Chiesa are back too, Ali still out, and Frimpong needs more assessment, but came off more as a precaution last night.

Agree3

01 Apr 2026 20:40:11
Yay Isak is back. Hopefully it's Isak coming back and not Temu Origi. I'd take the OG Origi over whatever version of Isak we got before his injury :D

Florian - keep doing you, man. There are more than enough Slot haters on here, so it's nice to hear from the other perspective as well.

It's not going to change the outcome, so I kinda like that there is a dissenting voice amongst the masses. And that "dissent" is largely supportive and positive, lol who would've thought, aye!?

Let's go Isak. Bit of a Cisse-esque comeback I hope!!!

Agree4

01 Apr 2026 20:48:04
Am I in some twilight zone reality here or sumting? 😆

Agree6

01 Apr 2026 21:10:31
This is turning into the Florian Musiala Banter site.

Agree4

01 Apr 2026 21:37:56
What if Slot keeps his job? There is plenty saying he will? Even the great John Barnes says keep him, he deserves next season. 🤔

Agree2

01 Apr 2026 21:52:18
Does Slot want to stay?

I'm not convinced.

There will be a comprehensive review of all football operations.
It won't involve the opinion of ex-players regardless of how great they were.

Agree7

02 Apr 2026 09:31:14
He should have gone months ago, plain and simple. Nothing has changed in terms of the team's performances, and in fact, we are getting worse game by game. And as for Barnes, what do people want him to say? These ex legends always back the manager, for the most part, in public, so not surprised.

They were backing BR despite his nonsense, so I would take these ex player takes with a pinch of salt. They have No influence on what the club will do re: Slot. imo, if CL doesn't happen, Slot is outta here, and the ex players backing him will give their opinions and, eventually, get over it.

Agree2

02 Apr 2026 11:28:14
Fact is, unless someone much higher up pulls the trigger on a number of posts, Edwards and Hughes will want to keep their man.

Agree1

02 Apr 2026 16:31:06
Can't ever see FSG sacking Edwards.

Agree0

01 Apr 2026 16:28:58
ED001 or Ed025, if you're about n can remember, What was your opinion of Terry McDermott, I always felt he doesn't get enough credit for us or mentioned in the same breath as any of our golden era. scored some very important goals for us n won loads.

{Ed001's Note - I loved Terry Mac, though I only heard him on the radio in those days sadly. Never got to see him play live. I loved him because he won me a family sweep by being first scorer. I only won about a quid but it was enough to cement a place in my heart forever for Terry Mac!}

01 Apr 2026 19:38:34
Before my time, but he seemed to have been a brilliant player and scored a lot of goals, including a few sensational goals.
Agree with Strom in that he doesn't seem to get enough credit, considering he was a mainstay in the team that dominated Europe at the time.

Agree5

01 Apr 2026 19:55:31
Seen Terry on many occasions, the goal that stands out for me is the one in the Anfield Rd end. Grob rolls the ball to Kenny, who hits it to Johnson on the centre circle. He hits down the left wing and Heighway crosses on the run. Terry Mac, from the top end, made the run into the Spurs box to head it in, pure poetry.

Agree9

01 Apr 2026 20:16:56
Yes Tc77, that was a great one.
I remember one he scored against Everton from the edge of the box. It was that good it became part of the opening for Match of the Day.

Agree6

01 Apr 2026 20:51:26
Willo, is that the goal where he chipped the keeper from the edge of the box with his left foot?

Agree5

01 Apr 2026 23:13:06
Was Clem in goal though. Not Grob.

Agree3

01 Apr 2026 22:12:42
ED001 I remember him playing, my Dad had started taking me the games in the 70s wh3n i was a kid n he was the one my Dad always praised, his goal in the European cup against monchingladback, ( spelling), the Spurs one in the 7-nil n the one about the blue noses in the semi final of the FA cup, lil chip from outside the box.be worth a fortune now, he was overlooked many times by England for some reason

Agree3

01 Apr 2026 23:59:50
Terry Mac was a great player, never stopped running, gave everything.

Agree5

02 Apr 2026 04:42:35
@Strom, Spot on - a great player who played in a team of great players. I think he was underrated in his time at the club, as there were so many other superb players in the team at the time and he'd definitely be worth a fortune these days.

Agree3

02 Apr 2026 07:37:35
I remember the Monchengladbach keeper (copied and pasted the spelling!) thon night... The best goalkeeping display I've ever seen, Alison away to PSG, comes close.
Brilliant days. What a side we had in those days! Some great footballers. And some proper hard men!!

Agree2

02 Apr 2026 09:04:03
Yes @Digger10, that's the one!

Agree0

United's Manager Choice: Upgrade or Trust Carrick?

01 Apr 2026 07:39:01
{Ed's Note - Shappy has posted a new article entitled, United's Manager Choice: Upgrade or Trust Carrick?

01 Apr 2026 11:18:02
Remember the good old days when we could rip the p. out of Shappy? :(

Agree17

01 Apr 2026 11:53:33
Shappy must be older than ed025? .
I see he writes even more at length than before. Shappy columns could alone be a reason for fans to switch teams

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - his penmanship is very good actually Cafu, some of them are longer than "war and peace" but hes a top poster mate..

01 Apr 2026 12:58:13
Only things older than Ed025 are on the antiques roadshow.

Agree2

{Ed025's Note - possibly JK but im good for my age mate, still play golf (badly) and im still very attractive to women, being rich and good looking helps though i must say.. :)

01 Apr 2026 17:40:10
Many a fine tune played on an old fiddle.

Agree4

{Ed025's Note - spot on Flash...even though a couple of my strings are out of tune these days mate.. :)

01 Apr 2026 18:05:29
I don't mind Shappy, he's just like us but with crap taste in football.

Agree7

01 Apr 2026 07:11:14
May I just say congratulations to Czechia on reaching the WC finals! In the playoffs they beat our own boys in green on penalties last Thursday and repeated the feat again last night v Denmark! Huge commitment over 300 minutes of football! Fair play to them!

01 Apr 2026 10:34:45
Should have been us. Big opportunity blown!!
But fair play to them, you gotta take your chance to win a game, and to win 2 penalty shootouts is good going.

Agree6

01 Apr 2026 13:46:47
Hats off to the Czech Republic. Always been a fan of them since Euro 96. It's been a long 20 years waiting for this after their last appearance in 2006 with that great generation of Nedved, Porborsky etc. Later, to be joined by Cech, Grygera, Ujfalucsi (spelling), Galasek and of course, Jan Koller.

Agree3

01 Apr 2026 06:46:16
Clearly there were no LFC supporters at the England game last night. To boo off the national team!

Given our season, we've become accustomed to watching dire football.

01 Apr 2026 08:25:07
Rather watch Hollywood Oaks than England, but watching us this season, it could drive you to watch EastEnders.

Agree3

01 Apr 2026 09:19:39
So many mediocre players who are hyped up beyond belief by the media just because they qualify to play for England.

Agree5

01 Apr 2026 09:35:04
The only people I know who regularly attend England games are fans of small clubs who see this as their only chance to see the top players.
As for booing, I suspect that reflects ticket prices and the fact managers are using these games to try options out. Wouldn't be too bad at a tenner a ticket, but...

Agree7

01 Apr 2026 15:04:50
International football is so rubbish, could have got a ticket to watch Scotland last night but cba going. Players seem to love playing for their country but for some reason we don't, it looks a burden to the players to perform.

Might be the way our media is, or the politics involved, but whatever the reason, I personally haven't watched any for years now, apart from the odd game.

Agree3

{Ed025's Note - its terrible to watch Strom, this England team make Arsenal look like the 70,s Brazil team mate and its so boring to watch..

01 Apr 2026 15:33:25
I defrosted the fridge last night.

Agree2

{Ed025's Note - your next job is to defrost Tuchel HH..

01 Apr 2026 16:24:32
Ed025 I agree.think the last time I took any real interest was when Terry Venables had us playing well, we hammered Germany at the euros ( I think ), since then its been a mind numbing blur

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - and would you believe we are joint favourites to win it strom?, just one more thing...how much are you going to put on that mate?.. :)

01 Apr 2026 17:42:24
Talk Sport trying to justify Ben White's selection, saying he shouldn't be booed. England are a joke. They forgot to mention that White got in 3 good crossing positions, and hit the first man every time.

If that was Trent, there would have been 3 goalscoring chances. White got ripped by Mitoma, and went AWOL for the goal. The media would have slaughtered Trent if that was him.

Agree2

01 Apr 2026 18:35:16
Years ago, I lived in London and was shocked to find I could get tickets to an England friendly on the day of the match. Went with a mate, as I wanted to see a few players, and spent more time eating wings with a pint... such a boring watch.

Agree2

01 Apr 2026 19:10:58
True strom and Ed25, I haven't watched us for years and don't intend on doing so anytime soon - I'll watch the world cup for other teams but England? no chance. It's like the players have no passion for it, it's awful but we'll hear all summer how it's coming home! what a load of nonsense.

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - i will watch them Salah just to have a moan and swear a lot mate..

02 Apr 2026 00:03:27
I'm English, but I choose a different team to follow each World Cup. Just can't get behind the likes of Maguire, Pickford and Foden.

Agree1

01 Apr 2026 22:15:46
Ed025, joint favourites that's got to be a April fools classic joke but if i was going to bet it would definitely not be England

Agree0

{Ed025's Note - they actually are Strom but how i dont know..

01 Apr 2026 06:18:39
Breaking news.

Slot to he offered new 3 year deal in a 'double your money' contract.

Convinced the squad is good enough to challenge without new signings as Van Bronkhorst is dusting off his boots and Thiago is still wearing his legends match shirt.

01 Apr 2026 08:34:31
Happy April Fools to you too, my friend :D.

Agree8

01 Apr 2026 08:36:36
It's gonna be hysterical on here if Slot is here next season.

Agree7

01 Apr 2026 09:48:12
Strange post that Flash.

Every day you seem to thrive in others negativity. Never see you comment anything else.

Agree7

01 Apr 2026 09:57:56
Why would anyone want Slot here next season, mate? Unless you support Everton of course!

Agree4

01 Apr 2026 13:47:41
No. 8, are you saying that Slot will be managing the LFC Legends team?

Agree0

01 Apr 2026 17:52:16
I didn't say I wanted him here.
But I've also seen nothing that confirms Slot is definitely out at the end of the season. Rumours are just that - rumours.
And it's a fact of life that if he is still here next season it will be major hysteria on here.

Anyone disbelieving that only has to look at the general tone of posts in the last few months.
I made an accurate observation and nothing else.
If anyone wants to read anything negative into that, it's their own affair.

Agree4

31 Mar 2026 21:46:58
Frimpong with his 100th injury.

This squad is depleted as hell City, PSG, Fulham, PSG.

Looks like szboz is back on slot's favourite position at right back. lol.

31 Mar 2026 22:42:02
Disaster. Hamstring again?!?!

Agree3

01 Apr 2026 06:39:46
The lad was never injured for Leverkusen... and his 1st season here has multiple injuries.

Must be something in the English food...

Maybe Frimoing should bring in his own Frankfurters for nourishment.

Agree6

01 Apr 2026 07:06:20
Or maybe they should be trained better.

Agree9

01 Apr 2026 07:09:38
Play Ramsay at rb against City, give him a go. What have we to lose?

Agree9

01 Apr 2026 07:32:45
Sad for him, he's clearly desperate to do well for LFC.
He's been unlucky, I can't be angry at someone for being injured.

Agree7

01 Apr 2026 10:11:53
He's getting hamstring injuries more or less since he came in, it's not the training. Maybe the training's too much for him. 🤔

Agree2

01 Apr 2026 10:48:07
Why was Frimpong even in the Dutch squad after just coming back from injury?
Unlike Arsenal, who just pull their players, we are stupid enough not to block players coming back from injury. This season is getting worse by the week.

Why was Frimpong's hamstring weakness not picked up in his medical when he was signing for us? Third hamstring injury this season and they are 6-week or more recovery time. I question why we signed him!!!

Agree4

01 Apr 2026 11:54:36
Isak is still not fit!

Agree0

01 Apr 2026 12:17:53
If he's constantly getting injured in the way he is, it implies the physical training isn't good enough or the rehabilitation from his last injury was not adequate. Never had a problem until this season.

Given how unfit our squad is, and our part time head coach felt 20 minutes of training was enough for the Spurs game, think it's fair to say where the blame lies.

Agree1

01 Apr 2026 12:45:03
Problem area. Needs addressing in summer

Agree0

01 Apr 2026 13:34:37
Oh right, so we won the league last year because Klopp installed fitness in the players, took them through to April, when our fitness fell off a cliff because of Slot (or the players took their foot off the gas with the league won), but when a player comes in and gets injuries basically since day one it's still down to Slot's training? Shouldn't Frimpong have been alright for a few months because of the superior training he had been getting to Slot's the whole season before? Or could it be that his body is finding it impossible to cope with the added physicality of the Premier League along with trying to progress in Europe?

Agree1

01 Apr 2026 13:49:02
Digger10, Ramsey has been thrown underneath the Anfield basement by Slot. Not sure he's gonna be letting him out anytime soon.

Agree2

01 Apr 2026 14:17:50
Think Frimpong has missed 25 games already, so plenty more time to add a few more games.
Another player I would sell in summer.
I have said it many times, the right back position is our weak spot.

Guess who will be playing right back in the two, sorry, three big matches.
Our midfield will once again be run through.
Macca will find it difficult.
Can't see Ali playing either.
But we will do our best.

Agree0

01 Apr 2026 18:03:44
It's a weird thing about the fitness.
I'm curious about what has actually changed in 18 months or so to leave a team that would fight and often overrun opposition up to the final whistle looking absolutely knackered two thirds of the way through the game?
Probably have to wait for Mo or one of the others to get a book written to get the proper lowdown.

I don't think I've ever seen such a drastic drop off in energy levels.

Agree2

01 Apr 2026 22:39:27
Interesting stat, Frimpong missed 4 games in his final 3 years in the Bundesliga. No record of a hamstring injury either.

Agree1

02 Apr 2026 06:16:33
Perhaps if Bradley was available - his last injury was just sheer bad luck - Frimpong might have had an extended recovery time, and vice versa, throughout the season. Both have had a number of injuries, and both may have come back too early on more than one occasion.

Agree1

31 Mar 2026 19:03:35
Potential outgoings for the summer might include

Robertson
Konate
McAllister
Endo
Chiesa
Tsimikas
Elliot

Will include

Salah

Add to that a potential manager/Hughes/Edwards change and a World Cup. It could be a very busy few months.
Rio and Nyoni for me take care of the Endo and Chiesa places if they go. Jacquet is already coming in.

Regarding the rest, they will have to review those who have been out on loan and have a look to see of there are any other youth players knocking on the door. Then it's just the small matter of securing targets. I'm not entirely sure what my point is, but it looks like a busy summer for whoever takes the reigns or keeps them.

31 Mar 2026 19:46:40
You missed Gomez and Jones of the list of possible departures.

Agree3

31 Mar 2026 20:20:50
And Bajetic and Ramsey! I'd personally expect Gomez to see out his last year and Jones to stay as a squad player.

Agree2

31 Mar 2026 21:14:48
And maybe Gakpo?

Agree2

31 Mar 2026 21:28:06
I don't see Gakpo leaving, personally. Chiesa will go and we bring in another winger to legitimately challenge him. Rio is too young to do so right now.

Agree1

31 Mar 2026 22:18:14
I thought we were building a team around Bajetic.

Agree5

31 Mar 2026 23:52:01
Yes JK, it's the U23's.

Agree3

01 Apr 2026 00:43:42
I think that you are thinking of Keita, @JK.

Agree2

01 Apr 2026 04:50:58
Yanet Garcia for me. You're welcome.

Agree0

01 Apr 2026 10:49:17
You missed the most important one out, Arne Slot.

Agree5

02 Apr 2026 06:18:44
Has Chiesa given up? Every time he looks like he is getting close to a start, he gets a nasty cold or toothache or something, that seems to stop him playing.

Agree2
