d'Accord!

20 Apr 2018 20:59:11
Looking through the posts I have come to this:

Cabellos: definitely of interest
Navas: possible
Meyer: possible
Draxler: possible
Lemar: Of interest but not at the price quoted. Unlikely.

Would there be any further names I could check out that Liverpool have shown some interest in?

We've looked at right-backs but I don't think we've settled on one target or anything yet. Might be wrong and if so, please correct me eds.

2.) 21 Apr 2018 00:57:35
My post should have started Hi ed002 😀 fishing for one of those awesome summaries you did for Man u and arsenal fans. Or st least one or two more names to do some research on.

{Ed002's Note - Apologies Davey, I did not see your post. I am not sure that there is anything new right now. I have also explained before about options such as Alisson and Draxler. I had planned on a Sharkopod for the Liverpool page but time is tight, so I will try and get something done during the week.}

3.) 21 Apr 2018 07:37:53
Nice one edd 2 looking forward to it.

4.) 21 Apr 2018 08:11:02
top man ed002
looking forward to it.

5.) 21 Apr 2018 09:27:03
Awesome Ed. Look forward to it always. Appreciate it.

6.) 21 Apr 2018 11:01:52
Jorginho - Definite interest.

7.) 21 Apr 2018 11:21:52
There is no sweeter feeling in the world than seeing a Sharkopod for Liverpool appear on the site. Have to admit, first time I was like, “this ed2 is just having a laugh” now I love the adverts and music almost as much as the priceless information. You are a total legend Ed002. whenever you get around to it, you’ll be making our month.

Hi Ed002,

Apologies for the possible list of random names. I've seen we've been linked (unreliable papers) with the following. Can you advise if you are aware of genuine interest in any of these?

Donnarumma (AC Milan)
Isco (Real Madrid)
Carvajal (Real Madrid)
Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona),
Jonathan Tah (Leverkusen)
Bernd Leno (Leverkusen)
Benjamin Henrichs (Leverkusen)
Leon Bailey (Leverkusen)

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - There is no interest in these players from Liverpool.}

1.) 28 Mar 2018 11:49:18
Cheers Ed.

19 Jan 2018 00:07:36
Hey ed002, rumours seem all over the place right now with a new player linked every day.

Do you have any further thoughts on the early window podcast after the coutinho sale. Any names where Liverpool might be showing January interest?

Please note I'm not one of those idiots who think a transfer happens easyily. Somewhat understand the complexities. Just looking for where there's serious interest at the moment.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - It is near impossible for me to try and predict the timings of transfers. Summer is a far more probable time for transfer as clubs rarely plan to sell in January and picking up replacements is never easy. Liverpool have the CB they wanted and have continued to look but they won't, I hope, make a knee jerk signing. Since the Sharkopod they have looked at others as has been discussed.}

1.) 19 Jan 2018 01:47:18
Next week is my little girl's birthday and few days later is mine. Surprise us with a Sharkopod please! She would be so happy to hear from Wonderdogsparky!
THX.

2.) 19 Jan 2018 05:49:57
Pardon my awareness, can anyone share Sharkpod links? Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - Sharkopod link - there you go mate.}

3.) 19 Jan 2018 07:40:08
Ed was you still hoping to do a mini Sharkopod covering all clubs for recent activity.

{Ed002's Note - There are a lot of others to do first.}

4.) 20 Jan 2018 02:06:48
Does your daughter really want a sharkopod for her birthday mate.

05 Jan 2018 14:47:16
Hi Ed002, Any truth you know of in a Chinese bid of 10 million or so for Markovic?

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any offer being made right now but Liverpool asked a great deal more than that of Fenerbahce - making them walk away. If Liverpool don't sell him in this window he will walk away for nothing at the end of the season (well two weeks after it). Not sure how he would like the idea of China either. A maybe.}

1.) 05 Jan 2018 15:40:55
Thank you for the response.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome. He will be aware that whilst some players settle others have struggled and it is a big decision for him. Liverpool need to come up with a realistic asking price and it will be easy to find a buyer - possibly a PL side.}

2.) 05 Jan 2018 15:52:05
I feel sorry for the lad. Was brought in to replace a top class player, had ridiculous expectations thrust upon him when he was clearly not ready.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 15:58:20
Hi ed wat is the possibility of getting gelson Martin's with the coutihno sale, is there a chance with a gastronomical bid they would sell.

{Ed002's Note - They would sell if the offer was high enough. He would make a great Salah replacement.}

4.) 05 Jan 2018 16:25:19
Ed002 is right, Gelson is a winger, not a number 10. If Salah went, yeah he’d be great, but not as a replacement for Pipco.

5.) 05 Jan 2018 16:38:29
Thanx I was asking asking on basis that Phil sometimes plays on left of attack, obviously Phil slightly different type of player more quality with passing an shooting, jus hard too find like for like in short space of time.

6.) 05 Jan 2018 17:38:17
A gastronomical bid? Would have to be some mighty fine tapas.

7.) 05 Jan 2018 18:04:14
Eds and reds, I was just wondering whatever happened to that young polish midfielder that was apparently nailed on to join us a year or so back? Did he move anywhere, progress.?
In terms of pipco going I think he’s played well for us and we’re going to be richly rewarded. There’s no point in trying to turn this sour and behave like he’s done us over. Sadly Barcelona are just a bigger and better side then us at the moment. We have, however, shown recently that we’re moving forward and look to be the nearest team to challenge city domestically in the coming seasons provided our investments continue to be smart (like mane, salah, Robbo) . I’m hoping for lemar, although when watching the clips on t’inter web I fell down a YouTube hole and ended up watching hours of jay jay okocha vids. I’d love a player like he was. finally, with emre’s current position I don’t think we can put the guy on the bench for running down his contract. We’ll hopefully get goreztka (sp) agreed soonabd be stronger overall.

{Ed002's Note - Zielinsku moved. Jay Jay is not available right now but if Liverpool throw enough money at him you never know.}

8.) 05 Jan 2018 22:52:54
I thought Fat Scam was lining up Okocha for the Blues? A two way fight then?

Man, we are being linked with everyone these days. Really hard to get any sort of idea who we are interested in for this window.

Interest in Lemar etc. Seems to be put aside for now.

Eds, is there anyone you could mention where Liverpool could make a serious January effort.

I get the feeling Liverpool feel they are being overpriced for players and will wait if out till the summer.

Davey Sulls

{Ed002's Note - Reat the posts.}

1.) 18 Jan 2018 05:58:01
Reat those posts.

2.) 18 Jan 2018 09:35:29
Everyone is overpriced in January unless there is a need to sell, we won't buy for the sake of it.

15 Jan 2018 13:35:26
I 've been critical of Robertson signing from the off.

That performance last night was the biggest middle finger I've ever been given in my life.

Fair play I say.

Davey Sulls

{Ed025's Note - he had sterling in his back pocket all game davey, and not many have been able to do that this season..

1.) 15 Jan 2018 14:56:03
Not many have had the better of him when he has played, he is competent defensively, he applies himself, is a willing runner and dare I say it, reminds me of Steve Finnan in that he is reliable and quietly effective.

2.) 15 Jan 2018 14:56:57
Couldn't agree more. I loved the chasing down he did in second half.

3.) 15 Jan 2018 14:59:02
Not wanting to take anything from the stellar performance of young Robertson but Raheem never seems to play well at Anfield against us, can’t seem to take the heat and loses his head, not sure why he keeps starting against us when he has been so poor consistently vs us.

4.) 15 Jan 2018 17:09:32
Why say it then. He had a brilliant game let it go.

31 Dec 2017 20:28:14
Hey ed001. Be interested to hear your thoughts on 2 keepers were strongly linked with. BUTLAND AND Trapp.

Strengths, weaknesses and suitability to Liverpool if you will.

Cheers.

Davey Sulls

{Ed001's Note - very difficult to compare the two, Butland is almost always injured or just coming back from injury whenever I have seen him play. While he is a good, solid keeper, he is so injury prone it would be idiocy to pay a fee for him, imo.

Trapp, on the other hand, has just lost the plot since joining PSG and, for whatever reason, has developed all the bad points of Grobbelaar but few of his strengths. He is incredibly erratic and error prone in a PSG shirt. Another one to avoid.}

1.) 01 Jan 2018 04:09:34
Still stand by my opinion that Karius should be given a full season to show how good he can be. De Gea, Ter Stegen, Navas all took time to settle at bigger clubs and now they are some of the finest GKs in the world. Why can't Klopp and the LFC fans show the same faith and patience with Karius?
And no point talking about Ward as he seems to have fallen out completely with Klopp so will be the first GK out of the door.

2.) 01 Jan 2018 05:28:55
Lord Pinto to the rescue!

3.) 01 Jan 2018 09:28:26
I'm of the same opinion IB mate.

4.) 01 Jan 2018 09:46:44
IB I believe LFC fans are willing to show Karius faith mate and want him to be starting games. Its not us who pick the side though. He needs faith off 1 man and 1 man alone.

5.) 01 Jan 2018 10:57:28
With you there, IB and Jayden. Karius needs to be playing now and the two GK's we are linked with are NO upgrades on Karius IMO (Migs is already a non-entity) as the Ed has just described. Butland is overrated is average and injury prone while Trapp who unseated Sirigu (the better GK, IMO) and got Areola (the current no. 1) loaned out to Villareal (he played against us in the EL), at PSG has been so poor that Areola got his job back and is now in the frame with Les Bleus.

Sorry, I don'l want other team's dross or average players. This idea that other players other players (dross or average) are better than ours simply cos they don't play for us, is a fool's errand, IMO. We have a young GK with potential who is ready to make the jump and as Jayden said, it is up to the manager now to play him or let he and Ward leave.

6.) 01 Jan 2018 11:02:48
Jayden, I fully agree with you that many fans want Karius to be playing. . The prob is tho, is that there are many other fans on other fan sites (I check on these as well) who simply loathe this kid (II'm 41 so he's a kid to me) . The guy cannot do absolutely anything right in their eyes.

Can you believe that some have the nerve to blame him for the LC goal or how he could have done better after being exposed by his defenders? Or how he was blamed by one fan who said he should have done better with the pen vs Sevilla? Or how his kicking is now a problem whereas it is his biggest asset? Yeah, these are the types of "fans" we are dealing with. It is these types of fans that get on his back and will jump on him as soon as he makes a mistake. Shoot, He does not make mistakes and they are on his back. Lord help us, Jayden.

7.) 01 Jan 2018 11:22:43
Br in that case mate Karius needs to build a set of bigger shoulders and brush it off. Not saying it's right but all football players have to deal with this especially now social media is around. Karius did receive some abuse last year but it's nowhere near the same scale that Hendo, Milner, Lovren, Moreno and Lucas have in the past. And you only have to look at other teams players like Rooney he's had a whole nation on his back most of his career. It's how they react to it that defines them. I'm sure if Klopp picks Karius he will allow his performances to do the talking like he has already done the games he's played this season.

Hey Macca,
How are things my man?
Anything been floated your way lately regarding Liverpool rumours or is it far too early to say anything yet.
Cheers.

Macca is a legend but in fairness, ed2 has just done a terrific sharkopod which has given us pretty much everything for now.

Theres Harry too don't forget Harry he is a legend too.

20 Nov 2017 15:46:10
Hi Ed001 and fellow fans,

I only saw extended highlights of the match at the weekend with work : (

I was a little disappointed to see we reverted back to 4-3-3 despite the result.

I think there's 2 things important for long term success this season.

1. The backline must have the protection of 2 CMs

2. Salah should be playing up top alongside Firmino. I know he scored 2 at the weekend but I think production will be maintained better playing up top rather than tracking fullbacks.

My questions are this for those who watched the game in full

1. Did Wijnaldum sit back with Henderson a little more to help offer protection in case of break aways? Or did he play his usal box to box role?
2. Was Salah tracking fullbacks and did he stay up top for our own break aways?
3. How was Coutinho's defensive work and did he play as a box to box CM?

I thought the 4-4-2 against West Ham gave us the perfect balance. Surprised we didn't stick with it.

We will certainly have to defend against Chelsea. Just hoping we haven't learned the lessons, only to undo them so quickly.

Davey Sulls

1.) 20 Nov 2017 16:32:06
To be fair because we really maintained possession for the majority of the game only hendo really looked to be sitting back when attacking out of the midfield. In terms of Salah tracking back, again there were not many points where he needed to. Phil for me had his best game of the season, again didn't have to do much defensive work but his body language looked good, his off ball movement was good, and for the first time all year I kinda forgot he wanted to leave as his attitude on the field was good, even had a nice looking hug with klopp when subbed.

I will say our defense looked solid, lovern still looks to be a bit rash when trying to beat attackers to 50/ 50s but played well overall, klavan looked solid, nothing amazing but solid. And the two outside backs again looked composed, I will say I read Ed01s match report and he wanted Trent to be more involved in the attack, I did think he looked a bit more comfortable in defense, once Salah scored Southampton really just folded and the game was a bit of a breeze. Don't want to be negative but I still have no idea what Simon is doing sometimes, like I feel like he's is trying so hard to show that he's a top keeper that he overcomplicates things, and honestly his distribution is poor still.

2.) 20 Nov 2017 17:58:26
"I was a little disappointed to see we reverted back to 4-3-3 despite the result. "

"I thought the 4-4-2 against West Ham gave us the perfect balance. Surprised we didn't stick with it. "

I am surprised why your are surprised as we have hit a decent run of form.

Formations do not matter as they change throughout the game.

3.) 20 Nov 2017 18:15:48
Surely the sign of a good manager is the ability to change tactics and formations depending on the opposition you are facing.

however if they win 2-0 they do not go through.

so is 2.5 goal lead the right terminology we should be using?

No chance in my opinion ed. His technique is nowhere near that. Vision is not the best which worries me the most for his position. Just don't see it.

Davey Sulls

{Ed0333's Note - I appreciate your opinion mate and we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. My opinion I think he’s twice the player Lallana is. How much have you seen him play Davey? Have you seen how Klopp has transformed The Ox, he may restore Dani Cabellos’ eyesight?

Not convinced by him myself from the matches I've watched him.

Davey Sulls

{Ed0333's Note - I think he’s a lovely little player. If we can get him for a smallish fee he could turn out to be another Coutinho in terms of value. He would be a positive addition to a weak midfield in my opinion.

Like klopp said (paraphrasing) we are not spurs, we are not juventus. If we tried to play like them we be out at the group stage. We must play the game our way.

To translate into language we all understand

He s saying we 're going to put our c**k on the block and go for it.

Karius massive upgrade on Mignolet
Van Dijk massive upgrade on Matip
Robertson massive upgrade on Moreno
Better understanding with the same back five playing together more regularly.
