This is the most complete liverpool team I've seen but its still not a complete list. We still need a fullback to cover left and right if need be. But we still have options that can play there. I'm a little concerned, with trent out for a few weeks but not panicking just yet.

1.) 16 Jan 2019 03:51:34
Yeah concerned but my mood stays pumped. Firstly cos when you have Fab and Milner, the full back positions seem covered to me as I have faith in the manager not showing signs of buying a backup this January.
Secondly, let the injury news keep giving the opposition false hopes. They won't know what hit them cos even when it's a make shift, we're still solid. Palace will be a big test but I convincingly fancy us coming up top. So many decent options we've got there so HAKUNA MATTA!

Palace have their own key injury problem - I hear their down to 3rd and 4th choice keeper for the game this weekend.

Ed002 you don't deserve the abuse, but in this day and age it doesn't surprise me that there are a few d#cks out there. Can I suggest just taking a few days off away from the liverpool site to calm down. You would be missed, but you are too invaluable to all us regular readers to lose from the site.

1.) 13 Jan 2019 11:22:06
Oh great, has the Knob Squad been out again?

What henious crime against them did Ed002 commit? Point out to us the reality that we can't have a squad of 23 £60m signings or something?

Ffs lads, you can take everything that Ed002 doesn't know about football and write it on the back of a postage stamp with a very large pen. Just because reality doesn't meet your expectations doesn't mean you shoot the messenger.

2.) 13 Jan 2019 13:44:02
A bunch snowflakes, me thinks. These guys can't handle the truth so they pout like spoiled brats cos Ed02 did not say something nice to them about LFC. PATHETIC!

03 Jan 2019 05:43:51
Well, atleast now there will be no more pulisic questions here.

1.) 03 Jan 2019 06:40:11
Any chance we can sign Pulisic from whoever Chelsea sell him to after he flops (Salah style)?

2.) 03 Jan 2019 06:59:26
So I thought lol.

3.) 03 Jan 2019 07:27:44
He is not going flop under Sarri, unless Mourinho is managing Chelsea.

4.) 03 Jan 2019 19:32:09
KK92, I was in stitches on that one, man.

Hi everyone since Australia's Christmas starts half a day earlier than the UK, I thought I'd get in early and wish the Ed's and all the people who post or just read a merry christmas! Stay safe, don't drink and drive and enjoy.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks Mark. Enjoy your holidays.}

Nice touch to see Roma and there president donate a combined 150k to the cox family. Hope he is getting better.

1.) 15 Nov 2018 22:13:22
Very good, is there any update on him?

2.) 16 Nov 2018 02:26:15
Hey Salah,

Everything I’ve read has suggested the previously good news of Mr Cox waking up from his coma is very grim. He needs completely assisted living for his entire lifetime and will not return home for some time. He also can no longer speak. I wonder if he has been damaged mentally.

It is truly terrifying to think someone is capable of doing this to a man over a silly football game. There is also little news on who was responsible, which is even more of a punch in the face.

I can only imagine the pain that family has been through, and wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I hope they catch the **** who did it. he will deserve whatever he gets and then some. It is stories like this that make us realize that football is just a game, and it’s people like this who truly deserve the support of our great club and it’s motto.

YNWA Sean.

3.) 16 Nov 2018 05:31:33
Thanks Tj, much appreciated for the update mate but so sad to hear it! I had no idea it was THAT bad, bloody hell! the poor fella goes out to a football game and has his life absolutely destroyed by thugs, it's just horrific.

So many people have to take things too far, why take a bloody game so seriously? it's just pathetic! it's meant to be about entertainment and then you go and hear stuff like this, it's barbaric.

4.) 16 Nov 2018 08:58:58
Nice gesture by Roma, but terrible news about Sean.

I thought two thugs had been arrested and charged, I could be wrong though.

5.) 16 Nov 2018 12:47:04
They were arrested. One was found innocent and another was given like a 2 year sentence. They think the man responsible is still out and about, and are hoping to extradict him, or something along those lines. This is all according to what I’ve read. Could be hogwash.

6.) 16 Nov 2018 15:56:23
They are trying to extradite him at the moment. Sean will improve a great deal more with the right treatment but he’ll never be what he was. At the moment his recovery phase is dreadfully slow hence why the family started the funding. It’s decent what Roma did but it’s still well short of what the man will need to start making progress.

Am I wrong to think Roma could have gone that extra step and covered the costs of his treatment? Should Liverpool be doing something more? I think the lad who was given 2 years was hitting people with a belt. He wasn’t the one who struck Sean, just one of the group.

Since couts left, we have been better at breaking teams down because of instead of being patient and finding a way through, couts would just take on 20 shots from 30 yards out. Some games it worked, a lot it didn't and it frustrated the hall out of me.

Who's to say if we were to buy another CB that he'd be fit all season anyway? All teams have certain areas of the pitch that have injuries to more than 1 player at a time. It happens. None of them are long term and the only times we have moved to a back 3 with klopp is in the dying stages of games to try and hang on to a win. Gomez's broken leg was an unlucky impact injury and not muscular, vvd hasn't made it through a full season with us yet either (touch wood he does) . We are not city who can buy world class players to sit on the bench and find a convoluted way of offsetting it to escape ffp. And we have the best defense in the league and still had a clean sheet with a midfielder playing there. We are in good shape.

Seeing as man united can't even sell tickets for their UCL game I think we are in good stead.

Bayern Munich have tried to get klopp in the past if I'm not mistaken. Or was it the German national team? I don't think he likes them too much after deliberately picking apart his Dortmund squad.

{Ed001's Note - they did try a number of times to get him but he has always steadfastly maintained he could never go there as it would be a betrayal of the Dortmund fans.}
