Gutted about Jota - would say recently has been a bit of a break through player last few weeks. Been with us a while but seemed to be on fire recently and don’t remember him running through defences before this season.

Hopefully isn’t serious and back soon! Only positive is with Salah back least less of a head ache on who starts as three that started today he been on form!

Hearing Salah is injured too. Nunez out 2 weeks and Jota / Jones both out for the season. Hope this is wrong.

Can't see anywhere that states that Salah is injured, or the length of time that Nunez, Jones, and Jota would be out so I'm hoping that your timeline is false. But Jota's injury looks really bad though and I'm worried that it is a M/ ACL injury.

@Matr. That made me laugh. When did you get the results of the scans through?

4.) 18 Feb 2024 16:21:15
Matr1981, noe of what you say is true. Klopp said Darwin felt something and was taken off as a precaution. He said Jota does not look good. Didn't hear about CJ. Like WDW3, when did you get the results of the scans?

Only watched bits of championship (mainly Leeds) and like the look of Ritter - young player who looks to have a lot of ability. Quick feet and manages to get buckets of assist playing with Bamford up top!

Obviously tactics will change but could be useful for opening up teams.

Actually “advanced talks” is more like when you see someone at a bar chatting some one up and just about to ask for their number…. Hopefully alonso is giving them a fake one. Reliable source tells me Mullet is acting as wing man.

Never really got the obsession with honouring contracts when it comes to football - obvs there is how you handle it, but is a v cut throat business for players and managers.

From a players perspective you can play for years and come from youth team - then get sold / dropped in an instant. Managers can get sacked after bringing a team up leagues or winning trophies after a bad run.

Main bit is how you carry yourself and respect shown when given. I never recall Klopp ever being disrespectful towards club, supporters and can’t doubt effort given - added if think is overrated with legend status, then explain anger that is leaving and being replaced?

Same with anyone’s job - it is an agreement between parties, not ownership from one party. Stress comes with the rewards so if Klopp feels his time is up for whatever reason then based on his service and effort given can’t fault the man.

Ed’s comment is intriguing - can think of numerous games, finals etc where have dominated and just not taken any chancels. Against real think courtious got a load of praise for what was poor finishing.

May be speed of play or how quick we play - but just seem to lack that calm composure. The counter after they scored, Nunez should be able to finish or even easier later off for Szo, but completely fluffed it. Curious if is an instinctual or innate ability or can be coached, as see in combat sports (famously McGregor vs Aldi) where just seem as relaxed or calm as someone knitting their 1000th sweater.

Ed’s can correct me if I am incorrect, but if we did get Amorim we would have to pay what ever his release or buy out clause is to get him. Which I don’t think would improve our already poor relationship with sporting. So can’t imagine it would make getting their players any easier. Not actually seen inacio but from what I’ve read on here would fit the bill for a cb that would improve us.

Lowe- tbh like the look of him and is young so with right coaching looks like he has a lot of potentially.

Added his pace and with Diaz, love him, but at times can be incredibly frustrating with trying too much or taking too many touches. Other than that was thinking more of natural positions and foden / saka both play right and salah is levels above both.

Saliba, rice and one of doku / saka / foden.

With konate, Diaz and potentially endo (for rice would mainly be an age factor or slighttt edge on him), but would say endo is a tight call really. KDB is also one that only age / injuries this season wouldn’t be one - even then debatable as when on form and fit is the best midfielder in the league.
