Good Morning ED002,

I hope you are well on this fine sunny morning.

Not strictly Liverpool related, but I was wondering if you had any information on Nestory Irankunda? The 17 year old "wonderkid" (as he seems to be described as) who is playing for Adelaide United in the Australian "A" League - I have seen a few links to AC Milan, Inter Milan and Liverpool.

Are you able to share where there is interested from potential buying clubs?

Regards,

KR65.

Kemlynroad65

{Ed002's Note - I don't know anything about him I am afraid although I think he is the Australian kid that Bayern Munich want to take next summer, but I would need to check.}

1.) 27 May 2023 09:12:10
Irankunda has plenty of talent. Scored some screamers already for a kid, but he's very raw. There seem to be plenty of clubs sniffing around, most prominent of which is Bayern, but they understand he's a long term prospect. I hope someone picks him up though. Kid's got it.

Good Evening ED002

I apologise if you have answered this before but I could not find it in the search function.

If Man City win the CL, and on the caveat they finish in the top 4, does 5th place in the EPL again CL entry?

Also, is Otavio of FC Porto still in the clubs thoughts? Or has that ship sailed?

Hope your enjoying your Friday night

Best Regards,

KR65.

Kemlynroad65

{Ed002's Note - Yes, if Manchester City win, 5th gets through. Otavio won't now be an option.}

1.) 05 May 2023 22:46:23
Ed002 is definitely pulling your leg.

2.) 05 May 2023 22:51:25
No. 5th place cannot qualify for CL if mancity win it.

3.) 05 May 2023 22:59:00
71 points. Only way. 4 wins to go.

4.) 05 May 2023 23:25:23
What if Man City win the Champions League? This will have no effect on the Premier League as Man City will finish in the top four. There is no "drop down" of places to give a fifth Champions League spot. The position in the group stage for the Champions League titleholders is left vacant.19 Apr 2023.

5.) 06 May 2023 12:48:30
5 places only become available IF someone outside the top 4 wins the CL. The only way there’s 5 spaces.

6.) 06 May 2023 21:51:24
It's not the only way there's 5 spaces jim, if a pl team from outside the top 4 wins the europa league then there's also 5 places.

7.) 07 May 2023 17:05:47
The only way that the Premier League can get 5 teams on the Champions League is if a team outside of the top 4 wins the Europa League. If anyone did a 005 Liverpool and won the Champions League but finished outside of the top 4, the 4th place team would lose its Champions League place.

Good Morning ED002

I think it was the summer of 2021 you mentioned Klopp was interested in Saul Niguez before he went on loan to Chelsea.

With Keita, AOC, Milner more than likely to leave in the 2023 Summer, would Saul Niguez still be in the thoughts of the club?

I remember you saying he signed a staggering 9-year contract in 2017 meaning it does not run out until 2026 and Athleti wanted his huge wages off the books.

Or has that ship well and truly sailed now?

Regards

KR65.

Kemlynroad65

{Ed002's Note - Saul Niguez (CM) Chelsea had an option on Saul but did not take it up as he failed to setle in England and they were looking to integrate Conor Gallagher. Him failing to settle would remove the interest of other English sides. He was apparently not discussed at a recent meeting between Chelsea and Atletico discussing another player. Two other sides have asked to be kept informed of the situation and a couple of others might declare an interest - most notable is Barcelona who are trying to balance extending youngsters, raising funds through sales and adding some experience but may let Kessie leave. A cheap solution.}

1.) 07 Dec 2022 12:33:18
Would that be Felix, Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

2.) 07 Dec 2022 16:59:04
Am I right in saying you were a big big fan of Saul?

Any reasons in particular he didn’t settle well in England?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - No I am not a "big fan" of Saul.}

3.) 07 Dec 2022 17:12:51
Ahh my mistake then!

4.) 07 Dec 2022 21:09:46
You might be thinking of Ed1 - he rated him very highly a few years back.

5.) 08 Dec 2022 11:07:40
Saul looked one of the best midfielder in the world not long ago, hence Atleti signed him up for so long. I wonder if it’s that deal which has subconsciously made him slack off a little? He fell out of favour a little at Atleti and made no impact at Chelsea.

6.) 08 Dec 2022 16:15:23
Prefer the lawyer personally.

Sa'll good, man.

02 Dec 2022 13:27:27
Good afternoon ED002

You mentioned previously that Otavio of FC Porto was of interest to the club but it would be one for next summer.

Are the club still interested?

Regards

KR65.

Kemlynroad65

{Ed002's Note - Otavio (RM/LM/W) Liverpool had sustained interest and something may have been possible in the summer but they needed to decide where funds needed to be allocated - but he could be one they store in the memory for next summer. Manchester United saw his versatility as a useful midfield addition but interest has likely gone. Leeds are keen but again the lack of CL football might hinder a transfer. Aston Villa enquired. Porto identified the fixed cost to buy him last summer which was well below his release clause - but no one was keen to pay it.}

1.) 02 Dec 2022 15:23:40
Thank You Ed002.

Good Evening ED002,

I hope the sun is warm, and the gin and tonics are fluid in tonight's warm Cornwall sun.

I have read your comments over the last month or 2 in regard to the repeated questions of Liverpool buying another player and that "Klopp has made it clear, no more players"

But, I know, that you know, as always (because you are a European power house of transfer goings on there is something going on in the background. You big tease you.

Today, Klopp was asked if Liverpool was in for a new player in his presser and and he committed, that they were "ish" in for a player

Because I have asked really really nice, and we have all been really very well behaved, could you give your super knowledgable on:

1: if we are to buy a player between you reading this message, and the transfer window closing, who are the candidates.

2: what is your favourite public house in Cornwall.

3: will Naby Keita be sold in this window.

4: if I move to Cornwall, will can you adopt me?

Love, KR65.

Kemlynroad65

{Ed002's Note - 1. I have answered this. 2. I have yet to try them all. 3. I very much doubt it. 4. Of course - and then I have more organs to harvest.}

1.) 30 Aug 2022 20:03:41
Ed002, just want to say thank you again for sticking through the abuse yet again. I'm sure you already know this but the vast majority (including myself) truly truly appreciate your information and your insights.

{Ed002's Note - Thanks Davey.}

2.) 31 Aug 2022 10:51:51
Late to the appreciation on this one but have always been that for you guys.
For a worth, an apology from a fan of the page to anyone who gets abuse from either our own fans or others who are logging in and trying to upset the brilliance we receive
Ed’s. Long May you continue

Thank you.

{Ed025's Note - cheers Gaz..

3.) 30 Aug 2022 23:32:25
the more organs to harvest response is classic! thanks for that Ed.

ED001

I hope your are well. When we bought Jota and Thiago, did we not purchase them on a payment plan (as I understood it, circa £5m per year? )

And has that now been paid up, or do the club still need to make payments?

Regards KR65.

Kemlynroad65

{Ed001's Note - I don't actually know if there are still payments left to make. I haven't looked into it. The plan was not £5m a year as I understand it with Jota, we made multiple payments a year the last time I looked at Wolves accounts and I seem to remember them noting that payments were completed. But I could be mistaken. Thiago I have absolutely no idea about sorry.}

1.) 08 Mar 2024 22:10:18
Going by memory on what was said here, we bought Jota for 40 million to be paid over 4 years. So it couldn't have been 5 million to be paid per year.

2.) 08 Mar 2024 22:40:25
I thought we may of put circa £20m up front, then paid the rest off per year, and something similar with Thiago.

Just wondering if it had all been paid now, or if the club still owed Wolves / BM money.

3.) 08 Mar 2024 22:02:07
Ok thanks ED001 ??.

4.) 09 Mar 2024 08:19:49
I think we put a £5 million down payment, not £5 million a year?.

5.) 09 Mar 2024 09:24:11
I read on the BBC website that the Jota transfer was now paid in full at circa £50m. As for Thiago, I'd assume it's all been paid, as we wouldn't pay it over a longer term than his original contract.

6.) 09 Mar 2024 13:43:51
What about incoming, has all of Coutinhos fee been paid to us seeing as he moved from Barcelona before his contract ended?

{Ed002's Note - A long time ago.}

As a die hard red, and a scouser born and bred, I feel I should say this, rivalry apart.

RIP Bobby Charlton ♥️

A true gentleman, a scholar and a great footballer in his day.

I'm 58 now, but I remember I went to a kids soccer camp when I was about 12 and he made a guest appearance - I still have the muddied shin pad he signed for me that day. He was a big gentle giant and gave us loads of time, it was in Chester if I remember rightly, I remember me Mam taking me on the train.

RIP BOBBY LA ♥️ YNWA.

1.) 22 Oct 2023 01:04:24
Brilliant kemlyn RIP Bobby.

2.) 22 Oct 2023 01:46:23
Fair play . Lovely sentiment.

Seems like this kind of thing has died out over the past decade or so.

The respect.

3.) 22 Oct 2023 03:29:13
An icon from a different generation. A man who played football as opposed to today’s icons who are footballers playing at being men.

I can see the day clear as a bell - on holidays with my mum, dad and sister at a guest house in Blackpool watching the final on a black and white telly in the lounge on aSaturday in July. Now that was a Golden Generation, lead by the two Bobbys. Thank you for the memories.

Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and to everybody who loves the game.

RIP Bobby Charlton.

4.) 22 Oct 2023 09:38:52
Bobby Charlton Soccer Schools
Ran the right way - and he gave up time to attend them

Proper legend.

5.) 22 Oct 2023 11:51:01
RIP Sir Bobby Charlton.
A true football hero.
I remember those football schools of his on Saturday morning television, never went to one though.

6.) 22 Oct 2023 12:14:56
RIP to Bobby Charlton, one of the absolute greatest footballers and human beings to ever set foot on the earth.

Peace and Love to him and his whole family and freinds. YNWA!

Alright lads - thought I'd post this for a bit of a laugh.

In lock down, my daughter put the tik tok app on my phone for a bit of a laugh to do the daft dances. I have to admit, I kept it on and have a bit of a butchers now and and then.

I was just flicking through, and some daffy put up a "oh Liverpool fans still going on about net spend, and it's unfair that city have oil money blah blah blah"

I read through the comments and somebody actually put " why be a knuckle dragging moronic idiot, do you live in a town where they only serve fried curry and there are dying pit ponies on the cobbled streets - educate yourself and go on Liverpool rumours and and ask ED002"

I nearly fell off the sofa laughing - ED002 is tik tok famous - go Ed lad.

I always find it baffling this site isn’t more well-known. The best footie site for the better part of what 15 years?

2.) 16 Oct 2022 17:00:13
It’s because it avoids click bait sensationalism. Not at all what everyone wants. Love this site. Have done for many a year.

I’ve told many pool supporters to go on to it because of its credibility yet all read for a few days, discover there isn’t a brand new piece of crap written so they don’t get their endorphin hit about mbappe and they disappear swiftly enough.

Yet they still come asking me if the latest mbappe rumour is true. I had a point in here somewhere but I think I lost my way.

3.) 16 Oct 2022 20:00:33
How long has the site been going? Iv been on here for 7 years give or take but Iv no idea how long it was going before that? Love the site, even if we LFC fans are a bit extreme and argumentative sometimes ?.

{Ed025's Note - extreme?...liverpool fans westwood?...never.. :)

4.) 16 Oct 2022 22:23:34
I’ve been on here since 2007 2008 ish so must be around 15 years or more.

5.) 16 Oct 2022 23:13:51
I think I first found this site back around 2004/ 5 but back then I'm sure it used to be football-rumours. co. uk with sub pages for teams before they created dedicated sites for individual teams.

6.) 17 Oct 2022 00:48:34
Haha ed025 yeah I’ll hold my hands up. No middle ground is there on here? we’re either moaning because the teams falling apart or elated because we’re the best (even when we’re not)!

{Ed025's Note - you are not the only ones Westwood… but probably the worst mate.. ?

23 Apr 2022 20:14:19
Jeezo - City put Watford to the sword today. Fair play though, it was only expected.

If, and it's a big if, we go toe to toe with them until 21st May, it could actually boil down to what Stevie G does, when he entertains them at Villa Park on the last day of the season - wow.

If it doesn't happen, then so be it, we should be so proud that we have been in there shorts and up there backsides all season. The level, form, and standard of the football is astronomically - it has to be the highest level of football, I have ever seen in my life after sitting in the same seat in the old Kemlyn Road since 1982.

The 14th, 21st, 28th May (hopefully) is the first time I won't be pottering about outside Primark on a Saturday morning, with the rest of the bored husbands, waiting for there wives to return with 3 bags of utter rubbish that that they don't need for £8.50.

I've never loved May so much - thank you Jurgen.

BTW Lads - HE SAID SO

YNWA.

Kemlynroad65

1.) 23 Apr 2022 20:29:14
Problem is Stevie might care but will 11 lads with no affiliation to Liverpool playing their last game of the season before going on holiday care?

2.) 23 Apr 2022 21:44:00
They should care about remaining professional and beating the current champions in there own back yard in front of there own fans on the last day of the season, regardless of who the manager is and his affiliation to Liverpool FC.

3.) 23 Apr 2022 22:48:12
They should mate but doesn’t necessarily mean they will.

4.) 23 Apr 2022 23:40:10
Fairly sure the game is at the Etihad.

5.) 24 Apr 2022 00:18:31
It’s at the Etihad. He should park the bus and get someone to stick a reducer on De Bruyne early doors.

6.) 24 Apr 2022 04:31:07
You all rate Manchester City too highly they'll drop points and we’ll win the league on GD.

7.) 24 Apr 2022 08:29:57
It's hard to see City dropping points to be honest, they're big favourites in every game and they're into their last 5 games.

Staying hopefully but it's going to be tough!

8.) 24 Apr 2022 11:53:26
Maxx, that rhetoric of not seeing where City will/ could drop points, has been debunked by City themselves cos them dropping points to teams nobody thought they could, is why we are neck and neck with them to begin with.

IMO, I don’t think City will drop points in their home games. If they will drop pints then, it will be away from home and Leeds, Wolves and WH could be tough for them, IMO. Here’s to hoping.

20 Apr 2022 19:26:13
I barely post on here, but I read the website fanatically every day. I'd like to touch on something bitter sweet

I was at the game last night and something occurred to me, that I already knew, but wasn't quite aware of the actual power and presence that is Jurgen Klopp.

See the class we shown on 7th minutes, clapping and singing YNWA for Ronaldo, that was spine tingling, humane, mature, the right thing to do, respect, being a parent and again nothing but class, from every single Liverpool fan, the stewards, the pundits, the young girl selling the pies - everyone. Take a bow Anfield, take a bow.

It was only after the game I realised, maybe that might of not happened under other managers, maybe (please don't dig me out if that doesn't apply to you - just saying) and what I think is, is the top class club and. Fans we have become under the influence of Klopp, from the tea lady to the players, to the coaching staff to the 12th man - us

What made me realise this, after doing what we did on the 7th minute, the UTD fans decided to sing what they sung (I categorically refute to repeat the words - I'm sure you know what I mean) and the gulf between the two clubs, in todays modern game is astronomically - in every sense of the word.

That is down to one man, his kudos, his philosophy, his manners, his genius, his presence.

Jurgen Klopp is bigger than God

YMWA.

Kemlynroad65

1.) 20 Apr 2022 21:27:41
Great Post mate, I said the same about the United fans but mine didn't get posted. We put then to shame last night. they would never of done what we did for Ronaldo and that's a fac.

2.) 20 Apr 2022 22:22:32
Thanks Marty Mcfly. Like ED025, I’m a bit of an alarse as they say and never really post anything unless it’s something significant. I’ve had my season ticket in the same seat since the old Kemlyn Road days la, and I’ve never seen or heard what I seen last night in over 35 years of sitting there against a Man Utd side, mainly because the rivalry was always so Intense over the years. Last night to me was something special, and I think it was because of the respect Klopp has driven through us all as fans and as people, and the level he has now elevated us to, and because UTD are so below us now, in pride, in level, in quality and in kudos is frightening.

They did knock us off our perch temporarily - but we are now top of the tree and kings of the jungle.

YNWA.

3.) 21 Apr 2022 08:44:51
Great post, OP. I fully agree with many points you make. That tribute to Ronaldo and his fam really melted my heart and I even clapped along on y sofa. Great touch by the club and fans. YNWA!

4.) 23 Apr 2022 07:12:45
Shame the United fans ruined it.

With all due respect, you need to watch a player specifically in the ground for at least 12/ 13 games to form a definitive opinion on a player, to play in a certain position for a club, in a particular style of play.

Anybody on this thread done that?

Not sure of the circumstances, but he passes away one very proud man - his son was the first northern Irish man to score for Liverpool in over 70 years, added to that two man of the match on the bounce.

Makes you wonder how much Saudi money was in the brown envelope, that was sitting in the refs room after City lost eh?

Either way, that’s what we are up against. Jones never a red, Jota was stupid and careless but would never be a red in another game and they never even put the lines up to justify Diaz was offside - when he clearly was on IMO.

It was basically 9 men V 11 plus a corrupt ref and a VAR panel and it took a 96th minute own goal to get there own way - so that says more about us than anything those corrupt clowns can throw at us.

I think this will be a blessing in disguise over the course of the rest of the season, cos it will only make us stronger, believe more and be more together knowing this is what we are up against each week, regardless of what other think.

KR65 - YNWA.
