It's being reported that Keita's agent travelled to Hong Kong to persuade / encourage liverpool to continue to bid for Keita!

1.) 26 Jul 2017 23:38:46
They're in Germany not Hong kong.

2.) 27 Jul 2017 01:03:20
I think he meant when Klopp was reported to have met whith NK's agent while we were still in Hong Kong. Hoever if it is true or not I am not sure but I think that might be illegal if so. I am pretty sure the same agency also has Mane on their books though.

3.) 27 Jul 2017 02:23:44
I can picture Keitas agent wandering around an empty training ground in Hong Kong today scratching his head at where everyone has gone πŸ˜‚.

4.) 27 Jul 2017 11:37:19
Ed02 already said this meeting may or may not have happened, which has gotten RBL peed off at NK's agent for stoking the fires with their player. This has led to the RBL CEO coming out (like John Henry did for Suarez) saying that his agents need to cut it out and that NK is not leaving. If the CEO had to come out and say that then for sure, Keita is not going anywhere. I think that should be the way we go with Couts even if he asks to leave. We should tell him that we need him for this season and that next season, he can go to Barca.

27 Sep 2016 00:47:19
Ed2 sorry for the question but I remember reading a reply you gave a while back regarding three outstanding young talents in world football at the moment and you mentioned sheyi ojo and two other players who are the other two I was trying to find the original post and I am unable. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - In 2013 I was told by someone who knows far better than me that there were four truly exceptional young talents in world football at that time - Chelsea's Nathan Ake, Max Meyer of Schalke, Liverpool's Oluwaseyi Ojo and Martin Benitez of Independiente.}

1.) 27 Sep 2016 03:46:19
Thanks ed. Much appreciated.

2.) 27 Sep 2016 11:42:31
Have you spoken to this person since then ed?
It's just I've seen how things can change very quickly.

{Ed002's Note - I speak to him regularly.}

3.) 27 Sep 2016 17:19:35
Do we have any interest in Martin Benitez or had him scouted stats look pretty good.

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid had two bids for Benitez turned down in January - they, Atletico and Bayer Leverkusen remain interested.}

4.) 27 Sep 2016 09:44:45
Hi Ed,

Do you see Ojo as a truly exceptional talent and will he be able to reach his full potential with us or would he be better going elsewhere to get regular 1st team football?

{Ed002's Note - I think this season will make the kid - whether Klopp wants to use him or not next season will decide where his future lies.}

5.) 28 Sep 2016 08:08:57
I would love to see him get a real shot - he reminds me a bit of Mane in terms of having pace, good skills to take on players one on one, good vision/ passing ability and a natural goal scorer. In short he has doesn't have any obvious weaknesses and just a question of how quickly he develops, which partly is a function of the chances he gets.

6.) 28 Sep 2016 08:12:54
Is he still injured at the moment?

{Ed001's Note - yes, though due back this weekend.}

7.) 28 Sep 2016 13:22:37
Would you put him in the team at the moment with us performing so well and if so who would you leave our for him?

{Ed001's Note - on the bench for me. There is no way we should be making changes unless forced to by injury, imo.}

8.) 28 Sep 2016 14:18:20
I am really excited by Ojo and I hope that Klopp finds a way to use him. People bang on about Rashford and Iheanacho, but I reckon Ojo leaves them in his wake.

9.) 28 Sep 2016 15:45:44
One of the things Klopp seems to do well is integrating players without disrupting the overall squad, and without throwing in players too early and damaging confidence.

I agree with Ed that he shouldn't be starting for a while yet given how Firmino/ Mane/ Coutinho are playing, and what I hope to see is some starts in selected early cup games, and some subs performances late on in selected PL games and take it from there. Next season is perhaps where he may challenge for regular a spot if he continues to grow.

10.) 29 Sep 2016 10:05:26
I like look of Marcus Edwards of Spurs
A few years back I watched an England under 16 match in which Yan Dhanda scored two goals but it was Edwards who ran the show and everything went thru him. But I guess if a player going to make it they need playing time.

11.) 30 Sep 2016 02:24:36
I think we'll see him get a chance if mane gets injured or African nations arriving. rate the boy though.

08 Jul 2016 19:36:17
M. Sakho's case dismissed according to Sky. Great News for him and Lfc. Push on now and look forward to next season.

1.) 08 Jul 2016 21:45:00
Excellent news. love this guy. Would of ended the season a lot better with him and Henderson fit and able.

2.) 08 Jul 2016 22:16:20
Good stuff, let's hope he stays here too!

3.) 09 Jul 2016 10:15:09
The Europa final may have been different too. Ah well, onwards and upwards.

{Ed023's Note - All ifs and buts but didn't the fella who replaced him getting Liverpool's man of the match?}

4.) 09 Jul 2016 10:32:45
I didn't realise coke replaced sakho.

{Ed023's Note - Does Coke play for Liverpool? Read what I actually wrote and come back to me}

5.) 09 Jul 2016 10:43:03
Hahaha well played eds.

6.) 09 Jul 2016 10:43:05
@Ed23 why even bother hah?

{Ed023's Note - Just wanted to point out what I said, some people don't bother to read properly but I do agree with you}

7.) 09 Jul 2016 09:45:10
An absolute disgrace. The poor guy missed out on the Europa League final and the Euros because of UEFA and it's "we are right and you are always wrong" attitude. I can't remember any other time when they backed down on a case. Having said all that they still aren't as bad as the FA.
Sakho is like a new signing at this stage as I presumed he was looking at a two to three year suspension.

8.) 09 Jul 2016 11:18:38
He's got a right to be seriously pissed off but I imagine there is also a sense of relief that this is finished with.

9.) 09 Jul 2016 11:48:56
Koke- the other one was more Merson's cup of tea πŸ˜‰.

10.) 09 Jul 2016 12:36:39
Yes I feel sorry for him, but Toure was by far our best player in his absence, so people need to get over it.

11.) 09 Jul 2016 11:36:33
Have to agree ed kolo was easily man of the match, I don't think sakho playing would have made a difference, quick question mate, would you UEFA have a case to answer for sakho personally for deformation of character?

{Ed023's Note - I doubt they will bother and to be honest I'm not bothered what they do I'm just delighted Sakho resume his Liverpool career.

12.) 09 Jul 2016 12:44:43
Always had a gut feeling that there was nothing to see here after UEFA seemed confused about if the substance was supposed to be on the banned substance list to begin with. The good news just keeps coming. Great stuff!

30 Nov 2015 14:58:05
I see the papers have been linking Liverpool with a summer move for Jack Butland. Is there any truth in these rumours or just lazy journalism due to the fact the Butland is playing well at the moment and there is a general feeling (rightly or wrongly) that mings isn't good enough to play for Liverpool. Personally I think Butland will be a top keeper and would be a good signing for us.

{Ed002's Note - I am certain Liverpool has not made any approach to Stoke about a summer move for Butland.}

1.) 02 Dec 2015 00:43:44
Guardian says we're in talks for a new contract for him.

22 Aug 2015 23:25:32
I see Victor Wanyama has told Southampton he wants to leave, personally I think after Matic he is the best DM in the league, would he be a player Liverpool would be interested in, if Lucas leaves.

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - No, Liverpool has never shown an interest in him.}

Sorry not Liverpool related but just watched Diego Godin v Portugal. Is there a better CB in world football.

1.) 30 Jun 2018 21:18:45
For me he's the best mate. Uruguay have a great chance.

2.) 30 Jun 2018 21:27:40
No. He is an absolute rock, positionally just spot on.

3.) 30 Jun 2018 22:01:48
Brilliant player.

4.) 30 Jun 2018 21:43:10
Probably not mate he's utter class.

5.) 30 Jun 2018 23:21:44
So what we have got Ragnar klavan!

6.) 30 Jun 2018 23:57:19
Godwin's been the world's best CB for a while now. The only reason why he does not get the deserved plaudits is coz he does not play for Real or Barca. Ramos and pique are bang average compared to Godin.

7.) 30 Jun 2018 23:59:32
Yeah he's good. Great cbs, great forwards but do they have the midfield to go all the way? Who does he play for?

22 Jun 2018 23:15:30
Just watched the highlights of the Brazil game, My god Firmino is an awesome footballer. Brazil look a different team with him in it. Really hope he stays for many years.

1.) 23 Jun 2018 00:17:07
Spot on, OP. I will never understand how Jesus (good player) plays ahead of him in the Brazil team. He is clearly not Bobbie's equal, IMO.

2.) 23 Jun 2018 09:19:56
Don’t nike have a say in who gets chosen? Or is that just an urban legend?

{Ed002's Note - No, that relates to sponsors paying to have their charges play in friendlies a few years ago.}

3.) 23 Jun 2018 09:23:38
Cheers for that ed.

26 May 2018 17:11:53
Its getting real now lads. Strap yourselves in because this is going to be one hell of a game. Whatever happens we should be proud of what this team had done so far and the future looks bright.
Come on the Red Men.

1.) 26 May 2018 17:30:30
Agree fruitba. Getting ready here in Canada. Looking forward to a great game. Proud to be a RED.

2.) 26 May 2018 18:26:44
I'm so worked up it almost feels like i'm about to play. this means so much to so many of us. words cannot express how happy, proud, nervous I am right now. YNWA.

02 May 2018 23:11:38
Guys quick question

I presume Anfield will be open for. the final. How many tickets will be on sale for the staduim. will it only be the capacity of the Kop or will they have more than one screen.

1.) 03 May 2018 09:00:47
Considering they would sell out if they opened all 4 sides, they'd be mad not to find a way of getting more screens.

01 May 2018 21:41:39
Madrid are poor at the back and i really hope if we go through i hope we batter them. I just can't handle watching Ronaldo and that horrible p***k Ramos celebrating again.

1.) 01 May 2018 22:01:05
I have the most incredibly, passionate "dislike" for that man (Ramos) and that team. πŸ˜’.

Without VVD or a Quality CB in this window i feel its very underwhelming. Keita is not coming for a year. Ox is a squad player. Solanke a squad player. Robertson needs time. only Mo Salah has improved us.

players career ed? what does that mean he will get a pay rise and move to a bigger club be that club liverpool or chelsea. he will be playing in CL also. liverpool have went the wrong way about it but VVD will come out of this in a better poistion than he is already in. hos reputation will take a hit but many players have done similar and went on to have great careers.

{Ed002's Note - You think it is OK to disrupt a professional footballer contracted to another club to such an extent that he ends up training alone and demanding a move to a club that illegally met and continued to stay in touch with the player? Everything that has been done by Klopp and Liverpool this summer is totally unprofessional and in a number of cases illegal. This has been explained repeatedly.}

Ed2 Blunt as ever i see. On a serious note do u ever see a time when clubs in some of the least favourable cities (according to some ppl) would have their training bases in London. If stories are to be believed players have opted for clubs in London due to the city rather than the clubs.

{Ed002's Note - No but some clubs, like Liverpool and both Manchester sides, have offices in London. There is simply not the space available for training facolities. If you look at Chelsea, they own a 140 acre complex in Surrey - more than 10 times the entire Stamford Bridge complex including hotels, shops, restaurants etc.. Arsenal has a similar sized facility out near St Albans in Hertfordshire and Spurs facility, which is only about half that size, is out by the M25 at Waltham Cross. So London itself is not viable.}

How is it Klopps fault ed002. Not arguing with you just would like your opinion on the situation. Karius isn't good enough. Klopp bought him now klopp must sell him. we need a new keeper or give Ward a try because its evident neither Karius now Simon Mignolet are good enough.

Lads we are Liverpool both the greatest amd worst team in the world to support. its the hope that kills you. anybody born after 82/ 85 knows that we can compete but ultimately its in vain. We are the greatest team for giving the supporters hope just before we take it away. its a hard loss to take amd we will move on but who would blame Salahis for wanting to move on he just scored 44 goals this yr and ended up with **** all. Hendo is the Cpt of this club. let that sink in. Carragher. hyppia. gerrard. Souness. Thompson etc etc have all worn the armband and we now see it fit to be worn by a fella who wouldn't get his place in any top side in world football. Maybe im just pissed off and hurting but god it feels. im. being punished for having both the privilege and burden of supporting this club.

Negativeredwalter. Are u a troll that comes on here to strir the pot if so, Its works. If not you need to seek medical help because Klopp has taken us forward and entertaining us at the same time. Arsene over Klopp? You lost all credibility with that commemt.
