Hi Ed02,

I know you have probably answered this before but, with Grujic is about appearances or do minutes count as well?

I mean if it comes to it can Klopp just bring him on as a sub for the last 5mins of every game and then all is good in terms of work permit or does it have to be like he's played 50% of minutes or something?

{Ed002's Note - No, it doesn't work like that.}

1.) 28 Nov 2016 09:17:46
Would you be able to advise how it does work or is far too completed to go into detail and all we need to know is that he needs to start playing otherwise he doesn't get a new one?

{Ed002's Note - I have explained before.}

I love all these transfer rumours. On Football Whispers 3 out of the top 6 "Top Whispers" are moving to Liverpool.

Just below that on Sky Sports we are preparing a bid for Herrera!

What do the Ed's know ey! Obviously going to be a VERY busy Jan.

1.) 11 Nov 2016 15:23:58
Miguel? Hector? Ander? Which Herrera are they on about? Tell me, I must have clarity on the nonsense!

2.) 11 Nov 2016 15:36:54
It's going to be that busy we'll probably end up with all.
I mean after all, Klopp can't be happy with his current squad. Can he!?

3.) 11 Nov 2016 17:54:48
Helenio Herrera.

Is there any particular reason Ings wasn't involved in the U23's last night?

Place on the bench today maybe, 2+2=5 and all that?

1.) 29 Oct 2016 09:23:44
Let's hope so, would be great to see him get some time on tonight.

2.) 29 Oct 2016 10:06:47
Can't see him on the bench enth tonight. Origi and Sturbridge on the bench.

Do you think its a good thing to not know your strongest 11 when everyone is fit and have strong competition for places so its keeps people on their toes and allowing the option to rotate players depending upon the game in hand, also keeping the opposition guessing or is it better to have a set first team that plays together week in week out so they can gel properly and get to now instantly what everyone is going to be doing with others to come in as cover as and when needed?

1.) 15 Sep 2016 18:17:45
For us this season I'd swerve towards the settled starting 11 camp. No Europe so more time in between games to get the team prepared for the weekend. Only change if loss of form or injury.

If we qualify for Champions League then you need to make some changes.

2.) 15 Sep 2016 19:38:07
You don't need a best team, you need a best squad. If any player is off form, they will be dropped and have to wait for a place to open up. Keeps players on their toes, no more being relaxed or off form and still playing every week. Competition drives more competition.

3.) 16 Sep 2016 06:03:34
when benitez was manager the team pretty much picked itself with the exception of one or two positions. whenever we had injuries it seemed a vastly weaker team would play with no option son the bench. seems we can switch thing up now a fair bit across midfield and attack without dropping in quality. a great problem to have!

{Ed001's Note - the problem with Rafa's team was that the back ups had no football. They were sat on the bench during first team matches and did not take part in reserve games, so they were rusty. That gave them no chance to be able to be at the same level as the ones playing every week.}

4.) 16 Sep 2016 15:27:07
Fair point Ed but were they that good anyway? Even prior to joining us and after leaving us I don't recall many being particularly successful other than maybe benayoun? ( who I think probably played less than he deserved to) it's been a while so maybe my memory is just a bit hazy!

{Ed001's Note - impossible to say, they had years of inactivity, that kills careers on a regular basis.}

With the signings that we have mae you feel this is enough to push us into the top 4 and if so who do you think with drop out

1.) 04 Jul 2015 10:25:18
Need another striker then they all need playing in the correct positions.

Then possibly top 4 we will see

2.) 04 Jul 2015 10:32:53
Unfortunately it's hard to see us getting in ahead of anyone with the money they are supposed to be spending, if we start well and build momentum who knows, especially with the new coaches there that for me could be the difference

3.) 04 Jul 2015 12:07:48

Spending loads of money doesn't mean you'll make top 4

We should have got top 4 last season but for Rodgers messing around with tactics and formations

4.) 04 Jul 2015 13:27:20
We have the players to make top 4 in my opinion, it's going to come down to how quickly Milner/Clyne/Firmino gel, whether Sturridge can come back from injury and hit form, and whether Rogers can settle on a side and a strategy rather than fumbling around like last season.

5.) 04 Jul 2015 14:39:49
Our not making top four was all down to BR and his failures and nothing more because our squad if well managed, is more than able to wreak havoc. Top four is always possible but it all depends on a good preseason, great chemistry and players being played in conditions they will flourish in. And of course, you need a few breaks to go your way.

So this European profit league, Yes we are top in terms of Net profit for 2015 but with Newcastle in second and Burnley in 5th I don't think I'm going to read too much into it!

If Southampton have scouted him then we should buy him now instead of a year later for double money.

Thanks Ed,

Not too sure we really need anyone at the moment but if Klopp decides Hector would be an improvement on Can then who am I to argue!

Trust in Klopp.

Would you put him in the team at the moment with us performing so well and if so who would you leave our for him?

{Ed001's Note - on the bench for me. There is no way we should be making changes unless forced to by injury, imo.}

Hi Ed,

Do you see Ojo as a truly exceptional talent and will he be able to reach his full potential with us or would he be better going elsewhere to get regular 1st team football?

{Ed002's Note - I think this season will make the kid - whether Klopp wants to use him or not next season will decide where his future lies.}

So with Moyes having a better win % at Utd and Van Gaal getting 2 more points in his first 50 games I'm guessing Klopp has no chance.

With us having strong hopes of the U23's - Juanma you just mentioned, TAA, Woodburn, Wilson, Ojo, Ejaria, Gomes etc and the likes of Ings to come back I am truly hopeful that we don't have to make many signings moving forward and all these boys can make the step up.

Hahaha - Ed001 trying desperately not to copy paste copy paste paste.

Really appreciate all the effort that goes into keeping this site the only footy site worth its salt.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate. It is actually not so bad, as it gives me an excuse to talk to people involved with the clubs in the hope of getting some interesting info at the same time. I was just winding Harry up as he was the one who got me doing them! They do take a while to put together, but they are fun to do.}
