Hi Eds
Any thoughts about the futures of Moreno, Illori and Markovic?
Personally I would to see them given a fair chance to impress next season.

Sukhyrai

{Ed001's Note - I do not expect us to sell any of them, we are asking a high price.}

Big shout out to Feyenoord fans for singing you'll never walk alone to pay respects to Brad Jones son Luca who lost his battle against leukemia 6 years ago. YNWA.

Thanks Macca. Agree i think we massively let VVD down. We've messed him and subsequently Southampton (again) about due to our behaviour. I really hope we go back in for him even during January. But if you believe in Karma we got what we desreved i. e. Coutinho an unhappy player who wanted to leave to go to a bigger club.

Big LFC welcome to Andrew Robertson, hopefully another in a long line of great Scots at Anfield.

What a top notch goal by our old boy Suso playing for Milan. Such a shame he never got more game time for us to see if he could cut in the EPL. Thought he always looked assured when he did.

All he needed was trust and patience by our then manager ironic he put that faith and trust in sterling, and where is he now? hope suso and texiera both go on to have the careers there talents deserve.

2.) 28 Aug 2016 17:53:26
Agreed op, Suso was my favourite player in the u21s, he had a wand of a left foot and even shone for the Spain u21s at the euros, not giving him enough of a chance will go down as one of Rodgers' bigger mistakes.

3.) 28 Aug 2016 19:35:17
Suso is the one that got away, IMO.

I know he has left us, but I'm pleased for Suso. He scored an amazing hat trick for Genoa hopefully he will now start reaching his potential.

Sports and politics shouldn't mix. If we can sign deals with Arab, Malaysian companies why not an Israeli company? Human rights abuses and migrant workers treated akin to slaves and anti LGBT legisalaton not an issue for people also.

I like look of Marcus Edwards of Spurs
A few years back I watched an England under 16 match in which Yan Dhanda scored two goals but it was Edwards who ran the show and everything went thru him. But I guess if a player going to make it they need playing time.

Might be waiting to confirm our Champions league place before going again for our two main (expensive) targets. Plus if we signed all our players at the start of the transfer window we'd miss out on all the random ITK's. We'd still end up whinging until the end of window how the club lack ambition by not signing anyone.

Sukhyrai

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with the Champions League - Liverpool have made offers for Keita that have been rejected.}

Klopp's a good manager, but i'd be hesitant to say he's great manager. but as Ed002 reminds us he's not won anything for a few years now. Until he wins either the Premier league or champions league we should hold judgement.

Sukhyrai

{Ed025's Note - looks like another 28 years then.. :)

The only Barcelona players i'd take would be either Messi or Neymar but that'll never happen. I don't see why we'd want any Barcelona players in exchange. We haven't shown any interest in any, we'd be exchanging our best player for cash and possibly a couple of fringe under performing players. Have you seen the Barcelona team? take out the front three and possibly Iniesta it looks bang average to me. Any part exchange with Barcelona would be good for them not us.

For me priority would be extra cover in midfield and a left back. Not sure who we will get in either position. If we signed someone like Robertson or Cresswell for left-back hopefully they be a temporary stop-gap until next season and then we go back in for (talking to his club first) someone like Ryan Sessegnon. But just dreaming i think.
