Hi Eds
Any thoughts about the futures of Moreno, Illori and Markovic?
Personally I would to see them given a fair chance to impress next season.

Sukhyrai

{Ed001's Note - I do not expect us to sell any of them, we are asking a high price.}

Standard Charter extending shirt sponsorship deal with us at £160 mill over 4 years.

good deal eds? i think i also recall this wasn't a very ethical company to be associated with though that could be another sponsor they were referring to?

{Ed001's Note - they are certainly not a company I would choose to be associated with myself.}

2.) 24 May 2018 10:16:45
I heard it was til 2023?

3.) 24 May 2018 10:24:07
Does anyone know how this deal compares in money terms to our rivals and their main sponsors?

4.) 24 May 2018 10:35:02
Ed002 always said that we should be after more high profile sponsor.

5.) 24 May 2018 10:36:00
They are a bank so they are bound to be corrupt or unethical to some extent. Bankers and lawyers take up 75% of the space in hell. 20% is a place called New Manchester (there is a reason they're called the red devils) . The other 5% is reserved for Mourinho and his huge head.

6.) 24 May 2018 10:47:10
It's big. United are the biggest at 47m per year. This would join us with Chelsea at 40.

In terms of a good brand to associate with? Well it's not as nice a thing to be a partner to as AIA or Palm (Spurs and West Brom) . Even in terms of financial corps, we're not doing as well as the likes of Brighton (Amex) and Watford (FXPro) . However, it's also not a cancerous explotative organisation like the 10 teams that have betting companies on their shirt (every one of which lobbied against lowering the maximum stake on fixed odd betting machines btw) . So the wrong side of the 'moralvsimmoral sponsor', but not as bad as they could easily be certainly.

Frankly, I'm more worried about some of our other sponsors - BetVictor for the training kit (also lobbied against lower stakes), Tatweer Misr who have been found culpable in extensive and unnecessary environmental damage in their developments, LiverpoolVodka (do we really need 2 alcohol sponsors? ) and Malaysia Airlines who have been shown multiple times as not fully protecting their passengers or complying with normal air traffic procedure (and that's not including their two downed aircraft) . SC aren't good, but if we are going to clean up our 'official partners' I think there are probably higher priority places to start.

Standard chartered always seems to be mentioned when a scandal is happening somewhere in the world involving money.

8.) 24 May 2018 12:32:27
As long as this time the scandal is then giving us a bigger pile of money than anyone else that’ll do me.

Hi Eds

Just wondering if you guys knew but what if any impact would the old boot room have had on incoming and outgoing transfers? Were discussions held among the coaching staff and what players to buysold, areas of the team that need improving etc.

Sukhyrai

{Ed001's Note - the old bootroom was where it all happened mate. They would discuss the game for hours in there, they would also get the opposition manager in for an after match drink and Paisley, in particular, would get all sorts of info out of them without them realising it. Transfers were discussed. Pretty much everything. It was an informal meeting room in essence.}

Big shout out to Feyenoord fans for singing you'll never walk alone to pay respects to Brad Jones son Luca who lost his battle against leukemia 6 years ago. YNWA.

Thanks Macca. Agree i think we massively let VVD down. We've messed him and subsequently Southampton (again) about due to our behaviour. I really hope we go back in for him even during January. But if you believe in Karma we got what we desreved i. e. Coutinho an unhappy player who wanted to leave to go to a bigger club.

Big LFC welcome to Andrew Robertson, hopefully another in a long line of great Scots at Anfield.

Fabinho deal took everyone by surprise. Even Macca never saw that happened. So anything is possible.

Sports and politics shouldn't mix. If we can sign deals with Arab, Malaysian companies why not an Israeli company? Human rights abuses and migrant workers treated akin to slaves and anti LGBT legisalaton not an issue for people also.

In relation to a more recent post about Baresi and defending. I recall watching a documentary on Maradona from the early 90's. They talked to the Napoli club doctor at the time and he was stating after every match Maradona's legs are black and blue from all the off ball kicks he gets. Would love to see many of todays players put up with that without rolling around.
Any chance of a rivals articles? Ed be great to get your knowledgeopinion on Maradona v Gullit.

Sukhyrai

{Ed001's Note - added that to the ever growing list mate!}

Thanks MK Scouser : (

I understand what your saying but nothing can take my buzz away from how well we are doing as a nation. Of course i'd be gutted if we got to the final and lost it but actually challenging for a title is refreshing from the previous attempts.

Plus getting a top 4 spot is great but not the same as winning the league. that's what I hope for as a LFC and England fan.
