Good day Eds.

Sorry about throwing in a random name, but have we or any other team looked at Youri Tielemans of Anderlecht. Been following the Belgian league and saw him in the Champions League. Very composed for a 17 year old. 18 tomorrow.

I feel he has the potential to be one of the best in his age range in the coming years.

Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Lots of interest from clubs but not Liverpool.}

Hasn't he agreed to join Atletico?

2.) 07 May 2015 06:24:56
Has he agreed to go to Barca in 2016? Saw that on another forum.

My opinion about Sturridge - and it may be a wrong one - is that he should leave.
I'll compare his situation to Robben at Chelsea. Always injured.
I think he should go to a less physical league. Take his time, get his strength back. Work on himself mentally. It worked for Robben, it might work for him too.
While I love seeing him play at Liverpool, I think it's better for him and his career to move to a less demanding league for now.
But then, I may be wrong.

Sturridge's injuries does not take away his talent, it only sets him back.

2013/ 14, show me a better striker than Sturridge and saying that it was not only down to Brendan being a good coach. Sturridge is a natural talent but unfortunately he will never again be able to apply that. Made of glass.

{Ed002's Note - Thank goodness you are not living in the past.}

The amount of thumbs down ill get for this will be unreal but i said it once and i stand by it.

I have always said we should have sold Sturridge the season we got rid of Suarez, would have got a very good price to replace him. well get feck all now as he's a gamble due to him being injured constantly.

great player when not injured but is injured more than fit.

3.) 25 Apr 2017 22:06:08
It's easy to say that now, with hindsight. At the time, there would have been uproar if we sold him after the season he had just had.

Considering that other teams in the top 6 are still playing each other, I think 4 more wins should be enough.

1.) 16 Apr 2017 20:31:51
4 out of 5 wins. yes please!

I'd say 3 wins and 1 draw.

2.) 16 Apr 2017 21:05:27
Even if united win there games in hand is say another couple of wins should see us through.

Never thought we would win the last 2 so the players seem to have finally realised what they are playing for.

3.) 16 Apr 2017 23:19:46
Id say 3 will do it to be honest but we should continue to take each game as a cup final. We may need them all and should leave nothing to chance.

4.) 16 Apr 2017 23:53:10
10 more points in the next 4 games will do the trick, IMO. Utd will not win all their games with that brutal schedule they have.

If we are still going to get a winger, I hope it would be Pulisic. The boy is special.

Firmino is just sensational. And he plays so well every game, you're almost tempted to take it for granted.

Works so hard too.

2.) 06 Nov 2016 21:56:57
he used to give away the ball so cheaply and just in general look so casual on the field. He's not quite Suarez fiery, but he has brought some intelligent bite to his game. really good to watch him. remember when he returned frmo summer a bit pudgy!? lol.

Ed01, you gave a review of the coaches before the season started, and you didn't seem to think Chelsea would be that competitive (which I hoped meant out of the top 4) with Conte.
Is he doing something different now? This Chelsea team is playing well and here I was hoping for one less rival. I was hoping Chelsea wouldn't be part of the top 4 because of him.

realtofel

{Ed001's Note - I said he would improve things and steady the ship, which is what he has done. They still had the team that won the league just a couple of seasons ago and added the best centre mid in Europe to it. Tactically he will get caught out by the top coaches, but he will be fine to get them into Europe. It is just that he is never going to win the Champions League, which is what Abramovich spends the money for.}

1.) 05 Nov 2016 19:20:54
Thanks. They can qualify for Europe as long as Liverpool finishes above them.
This season is going to be very difficult. And Man Utd hasn't even started playing well yet.

2.) 06 Nov 2016 08:05:00
He and they will be found out. This is the prem, systems rarely get 6 months before there sussed.

This is the exact same style we played and won for like 10 games under Brendan after Suarez left, December -Feb. Then we got worked out and it all went to crap.

3 at the back eaithet gets you some good results to begin with in thus league or it just doesn't work. They won't be able to stay like this.

A.

I hope we get 4th.
But IMO, it's Man Utd's to lose.
Mourinho has a great record vs Wenger. and Spurs can choke again like last year.

The aim for this season was Champions League Football.
If we don't get it, then Klopp has to be blamed.
Everything rises and falls on leadership. As much as we might want to blame the players - and yes, we can lay blame at their feet - ultimately, Klopp is responsible for the team.

What's it with the "higher points total"?
If he finishes outside top 4 this season with a higher points total than previous seasons, then what?
If he finishes next season with a points total that's higher than this season, but still outside top 4, is that still moving forward?
The league position is what shows that you're moving forward.

realtofel

{Ed001's Note - so where did we finish last season then real?}

If we don't get top 4, the points total doesn't mean anything and he hasn't moved us forward.
Not in Europe, easiest of run-ins. I don't see the excuse.
Moving us forward is getting to the champions league.

Man U have had to deal with injuries and the Europa league.
Man City have had to do with an injured Kompany, a new coach and style of play.
Chelsea recovered well from a bad start.
Spurs have continued to build on last season.
I've no more excuses for Klopp. He's the coach, he should deal with injuries. He wasn't brought in to "compare" us to last season. It was to win the league.
He should at least end up in the top 4. If he doesn't get that this season, he gets no pass from me.
