Naby Kieta played the deeper role in the first half and the proper B2B role in the second half and guess what he was brilliant in both the roles.

what ever we paid for him was worth every penny the guy looks as tho he could turn out to be a world class player well done the reds for snaping him up 👍.

08 Sep 2017 23:21:55
That goal was ridiculous though.

09 Sep 2017 03:27:08
Keita is one player that ensures we may not even need to replace Phil if he leaves next summer. He will take our midfield to the next level by just showing up on the pitch. He is that good.
Now imagine a midfield of Hendo-Keita-Couts next season if Couts stays. One of the best in the world imo. Barcelona have turned their attention to Thiago Alcantra now and integrating Alena in the first team so they may leave Coutinho alone now.

09 Sep 2017 03:59:38
Just watched it. Belter. Good game all round from Keita.

09 Sep 2017 04:02:48
Werner's goal was class.

09 Sep 2017 09:20:43
Werner is another that will be immense like Keita. If we did not have Firmino and Solanke, Klopp would be the first manager on a phone to his agent.

09 Sep 2017 09:25:39
Werner is one we should also look at.

08 Sep 2017 21:28:56
Second, as a follow-up to my previous post (accidentally hit send) what's the deal with Emres contract. I searched 'can' and 'contract' and it comes up a lot. I'll be disappointed if we lose him but if his demands are silly I think the club should stand their ground. As much as I hate to say that and I think we'll regret it. Do you think he'll stay or is it too early to tell?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - he has not accept the offer and would like to move to Turin. Liverpool want a new deal.}

08 Sep 2017 22:01:52
I am convinced he doesn't want to sign. nothing we can do.

09 Sep 2017 03:29:30
Move on. He will play his heart out this season and go to Juve next summer where he will be a guaranteed starter. Good deal for him and helps him become a regular in the German national team. We have Keita replacing him next summer anyways so not too bothered.
Though Klopp may need to look for another midfielder if Coutinho leaves too.

09 Sep 2017 04:14:27
We'll go for Lemar again next summer if that's the case. Keita and Lemar next summer, maybe a defender or two. Yes please! Really though, it's exciting times again to be a Liverpool supporter. Hopefully we'll stay out of the valley!

09 Sep 2017 11:20:05
It's still early days with Can let's just see what happens. I expect he's waiting to see how many games he gets and the position he's played in then he'll make his mind up. I think he'll go because once Couts is back in the team I don't see him starting. If that's the case then good luck to him, I don't like players moving for 'guaranteed starts' it shows a mentality flaw as they are not confident enough to back themselves and work harder to get back in the team.

08 Sep 2017 21:02:16
Anyone see Keita's goal against Hamburg? What a belter!

Believable9 Unbelievable0

08 Sep 2017 22:11:13
Top strike and the goal for Guinea few days back aswell!
Looks like we've got ourselves a gem.

08 Sep 2017 23:54:03
I am convinced he will improve even more this season playing regular champions league. Sadly Can is likely to go Juventus but Keita could quite possibly be BPL player of the year in his debut season.

09 Sep 2017 01:27:08
No pressure then.

09 Sep 2017 04:47:44
Seriously though, if Karius/ Mignolet had let that goal in there'd be trouble.
I get that it was a good clean strike but it was a lovely height for a keeper and not in the corner of the goal. He basically pushed it in instead of trying to save it.
They seem to have one outstanding keeper in Germany and a load of journeymen who wouldn't look out of place in League 1.

Hi
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but would appreciate any advices. Should you buy tickets for Liverpool games from livefootballtickets. com or are they fakes?

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Sep 2017 18:47:13
Last season I was contemplating buying from there as well. Decided against it and bought hospitality tickets for the Chelsea game.

I'm also interested in whether other fans/ posters have experience using that site. Anyone?

08 Sep 2017 19:29:05
Best way to get to get tickets is to become a member mate

You won't always get the games you want to start off with but eventually you will.

Much safer and cheaper in the long run 👍.

08 Sep 2017 20:20:09
I've used them a couple of times as a last resort. Very expensive but did come through with the tickets.

09 Sep 2017 09:25:21
I'm looking for Sevilla tickets, Away not at Anfield. Ñif anyone can help. Much appreciated.

Evening eds

Ive read Klopp has said today Coutinho won't be in the squad for City as he needs training to gain fitness. Can I ask your thoughts on this please?

He went away with Brazil for 2 games and played. He trained in full yesterday and today but Klopp sais he won't be included.

Can we assume that this is not the case at all and its to do with what has gone on before with the TR etc? I really think this will be the pattern now for the rest of the season with Klopp determined not to use him. We should of sold him full stop imo.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - he made 2 sub appearances, that is all the football he has had so far this season and he had a break from preseason training and the start of the season. Klopp also said he could have been on the bench and played 20 min or so, but considering all that went on it was best to avoid a media frenzy about him sat on the bench and leave him out.}

08 Sep 2017 18:17:28
Have you heard how he's reintegrated into the group, Ed?

His mood? Klopps mood towards him?

{Ed001's Note - I am not aware of any issues at all, players do not get involved in stuff like that mate.}

08 Sep 2017 18:36:37
I actually think it's the correct decision, the squad has worked hard in pre season and they deserve their chances.

I mentioned in an earlier post, if we manage to beat city without couts, it will show we mean real business.

08 Sep 2017 19:02:24
I agree nick. The guys have done great so far and whoever plays deserves the start.

There will be plenty of tough games this year for coutinio to be involved in. Wijnaldum has done too well to be dropped just coz Phil has decided he wants to play for us again.

08 Sep 2017 21:42:28
He'll likely be back starting for the league cup match in 10 or 11 days. I'd be surprised if he was back earlier.

08 Sep 2017 22:29:51
In 10 or 11 days Olrish? Jesus he won't need that much extra training will he ed? He has to be in the squad fot Burnley abd Sevilla?

08 Sep 2017 23:14:25
Klopp plays one of the most intense games in the league so of course it will take longer to get up a klopp match level of fitness. we have people waiting on the bench at that level already so they should be the priority.

08 Sep 2017 23:56:20
Start at Burnley.

08 Sep 2017 20:51:14
Cheers for reply ed. Youve said your not aware of any issues at all mate so fo you fully expect him to be in the team or squad for thr next games Burnley and Sevilla?

{Ed001's Note - if Klopp feels he is ready to play a full part, he will be in the squad or team.}

08 Sep 2017 17:29:47
Weve all waited two long weeks and had to suffer international football but the EPL is finally back.
It may not have been the transfer window we wanted but we've got some great additions to our already talented squad.
Im not happy Couts is here, simply because i've felt let down by him. But hey ho. Players come and go, heads get turned etc.
Heres hoping for a comfortable win.
Have a good day Reds. Y. N. W. A.

International break is a curse.

08 Sep 2017 16:15:24
So do we think Gomez will keep his place or will Klopp bring TAA back in tomorrow?

Same goes for LB Moreno again or Robertson?

Other than those 2 positions and Gk I see the rest of the team being same as Arsenal game.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

08 Sep 2017 16:32:54
Same team that beat arsenal feserves to start for me.

08 Sep 2017 16:52:05
I wouldn't be surprised if Milner came back into the fold as left back. I hope klopp goes with gomez for RB. TAA I'd very promising prospect but still a little iffy defencively. Gomez is more defence minded.

I'm hoping we get to see AOC in a red shirt. 60th minute sub?

08 Sep 2017 19:15:41
Milner seems an unpopular choice but he was excellent against city last season. Inexperience can cost at this level which is why I would pick our most experienced options for full backs. Milner lb and gomez RB or Robertson lb and Milner RB. That said I think klopp will probably go moreno lb. Not sure who'll get the nod for RB but I think it would be a shame not to use Milner as like I say he was fantastic last term against city. I'd like to see karius given a decent run in goal but I suspect mignolet will get ghe nod. The rest of the team picks itself really. Unless he goes 442 znd plays Danny s? I think he could be good against city.

I know moreno is more experienced than Robertson but robbo FEELS more experienced as he seems wiser when it comes to making defencive decisions.

09 Sep 2017 00:00:09
I wouldn't mind 442 with Danny but our front 3 are irreplacable. Personally feel Gomez has to play, not sure if this where Robbo becomes a legend or we keep the exact same side as Arsenal. Thought Coutinho would have been a good option from the bench but maybe 30 minutes of the Ox would be ok instead.

08 Sep 2017 15:23:25
Hello scousers. First of all i want to apologize to our captain as i doubted he will be to his best and he is slowly getting there. so im optimistic about our season. we improved in this transfer window and we will push. think we will do really well in CL especially in knock out phase if we get there.
Hope we learned something from last season and we stay in a race longer.
CITY will be massive game and we will see where we are against one of the best!

08 Sep 2017 13:42:23
There's a difference between being a realist and a contrarian. Never being pleased does not make you a realist ed025. We don't have xavi and iniesta in the middle. So what? Hundreds of teams have not had xavi and iniesta in the middle and still won trophies. There's no reason not to be excited for the season ahead. I think barring a sketchy decision by refs in the champions league, we have a small, but decent chance of going all the way there too.

Bottom line is, all true reds fans should be excited for the season ahead. I fail to see that excitement in any of Harry's posts. Could that be me being a realist ed025? 🤔.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - thats you being very optimistic to the point of delusion TJ, there is no reason why you cant win things of course with a little bit of luck which many teams in the past have proven, but lets not go down the road of everyone thinking liverpool fans are a joke again with their over inflated expectations, all im saying is keep it real my friend..

08 Sep 2017 15:04:15
The likes of Real Madrid and PSG would slaughter our defence unfortunately. However, id be optimistic against any of the other sides, except maybe United. Seem to be a bogey team for us recently, especially now that Jose is there.

08 Sep 2017 15:22:13
AC, i don't fear PSG at all. They are weak at the back and without Matuidi their midfield looks cumbersome and one paced. We'd concede I'm sure (i mean it is Mbappe, Neymar and Cavani! ) but i think at Anfield especially we'd put them to the sword and they'd struggle to get any grip on the game.

It is the solid teams with good tacticians that i worry about. Zidane, Mourinho, Simeone and Allegri all know how to take the sting out of a frightening attack. I worry if we can find an answer for that. They are all masters of the one off game.

Barcelona, PSG, Bayern, Dortmund etc? Nah. We'd just outscore them.

08 Sep 2017 15:26:39
Well if you don't have a Xavi and Iniesta stop comparing your team to them. Liverpool have an identity of their own and let's go by it. Barcelona plays completely different to Liverpool and if any team has had any resemblance it's Arsenal. Now that's for the record mate.

Regarding excitement and optimism. Wasn't me the only one who wanted us to challenge the title and you lot were happy taking the 4th place ever rolling trophy for GOOD? And I was told to behave a realistic last season lol!

Our team can't defend! If this is something your can't accept it then it's your problem not mine!

08 Sep 2017 16:01:08
Mks is right. again. It is the master tacticians we need to watch. Most people would agree that bayern Munich are on whole a better team than athletic madrid. However in pre season we hammered Munich away but drew with athletic. I fancy us against city as they will come out an play. Last year utd played us well and Jose got the draw he set up for. I reckon this year jose's ego will get the better of him and he will try to win from the start. Hendo will think "this is interesting" and mane will get a brace.

08 Sep 2017 16:03:38
The fact that we did come 4th proves that it was a realistic target. As for this "our team can't defend" theory. There were 4 teams who conceded less than Liverpool last year so it clearly isn't as bad as some make out, including myself at times. Granted, it could be improved upon but there were a hell of a lot of teams that wish they had or defensive record in the league last season, including Everton and their top defenders.

08 Sep 2017 15:14:55
well ed it is easy to be realistic about other team players. for example you are not realistic when you think Gylfi and Rooney are world class and can get into top team when reality is different. who would buy siggurdosn from top 4 clubs. United? Spurs? ah he already failed there. Chelsea? maybe as Conte likes hardworking midfielder but opted for other options. City? pep would never buy that sort of player. neither champions league club would buy him, maybe for 20mill max. and you said Can is bad player once . 22 years old german international midfielder wanted by Juventus and likely to be first eleven player. Keane for you would walk into Liverpool team. In Keane i see slow old fashion defender, definitely good player but can't play high line and you will see that over the season. karius is lemon and picford is future England number one? goal he conceded against Hajduk was his mistake and he will have problems with well placed higher shots as he is not tall. everyone sees thinghs differently. you think calwin and lookman are great talents, you will see what talent is when Vlasic plays for your club.

{Ed025's Note - and there lies the problem with liverpool supporters mandzo!, a lot of you are very disparaging about other teams players but think your own are incredible and can do no wrong, other teams supporters see you as delusional and quite frankly its hard to disagree mate, a lot of it is just banter and i get that as im the reigning world champion, but humility as a supporter is a fine trait..

08 Sep 2017 15:15:04
With all due respect Ed025, being realistic is what holds teams like Everton and Spurs back.

Sometimes you have to put you head on the block, or even take a financial risk to take the next step. To do that you have to be optimistic.

I believe, that if the Liverpool players believe they are good enough, they can make waves at the top of the league and against anyone in the Champions league. Across 2 legs, the only teams i would not be confident against are Real Madrid, Man United, Juventus and Athletico Madrid. I think we can sweep anyone else aside by steam rolling them at Anfield. Those 4 will be very hard to beat home or away though which is when we need our defence to stay tight. Therein lies my concerns!

Maybe that does make me an optimist, but maybe that is why Liverpool play for a win away to Hoffenheim, instead of playing not to lose away to Hadjuk Split 😉

Never underestimate that confidence can be as useful as it can be dangerous.

{Ed025's Note - you do speak a lot of sense MK and optimism can be a fine thing when spoken in moderation, when its rammed down peoples throats though it becomes bigheadedness and that is when other fans lose respect, when you hear "we are going to win this and that" and "this is our year" its taken with a pinch of salt now, i do like liverpool supporters but if they toned it down a bit with the unrealistic expectations then im sure others would too...but it would make it harder for me to tear you to shreds so carry on please.. :)

08 Sep 2017 16:37:21
It is simply tradition to say its our year.

08 Sep 2017 16:29:56
See for me Ed025, we now have a team good enough to win any league or cup competition in world football. However, there are at least 3 other teams in England who can say the same. Being good enough to win trophies doesn't mean you will. At the end of the day, we are only in 4 competitions and one bad day can cost you in 3 of them. In the league if we struggle to beat a certain type of team again we can drop enough points to become also-rans.

So I'm happy to honestly say we can beat anyone on our day and that if everything went right for us, we could win a trophy. However reality tells me that there are a lot of teams who think the same and we can't all win.

{Ed025's Note - thats right MK, liverpool have one of if not the best midfields and attacking options in the EPL, the defence lets them down somewhat i feel so there will always be a doubt for me mate..

08 Sep 2017 16:45:57
Liverpool are one of five teams In with a shout of winning the league. It is that simple. We have had a decent start to the season but let's remember our results include a 1.0 win to palace and a 3 3 draw with watford. I don't think fans other than liverpool fans are taking us as serious title contenders but if we get a result against city that will undoubtedly change.

Liverpool have reason to be optimistic and so do Everton. Everton optimism is born out of other teams failures (spurs arsenal) coupled with some good signings (siggurson was the stand out player outside the top six, let's be honest, he is a fantastic player)
Liverpool optimism is more genuine. Before Christmas we had arguably the best team in the league and depth really cost us. Coutinio was injured and mane missing for large portions of season. Well we have been blistering already WITHOUT cout's and we have another super quick winger in salah. We have a couple of decent fbs breaking through and have added quality in midfield. We are definitely contenders.

It is this group of players first year in ucl and I'm not expecting too much. Of course, we are in it so we can win it but it's very unlikely. We will have to break down teams, something we struggled with last year. If we get to quarter finals then that would be a decent showing. We HAVE to qualify for ucl next year or our season will be a failure. Top four and I'll be pleased, top three very pleased.

{Ed025's Note - thats a great post superred, very fair and balanced mate..

08 Sep 2017 16:56:14
Liverpool defence is 50% different to the one that struggled at times last season. Milner and Clyne, for w/ e reason have been replaced by TAA, gomez, Robertson and moreno. They have also had another summer to gel together. I expect them to be much better this season.

08 Sep 2017 17:45:15
Thing is I'm massively over optimistic about our players but it's rare that I have a pop at opponents unless it's light hearted.

{Ed025's Note - and thats fair enough ron..

08 Sep 2017 19:31:52
Cheers ed025, it is easy to get carried away as football fans should. At the beginning of a new season fans should be optimistic and it's great to see. Both liverpool and Everton have improved so of course there is great optimism. I think liverpool will start well and I hope we can mantain the high intensity right through to may. We didn't last year, yes we lost mane pc and Hendo for large parts of the latter half of the season but perhaps that is due to the intensity of lfc game in part. I'm guessing, in general, our levels will be better this year as players bodies get used to klopps style and also because we simply have more numbers.

To flip the coin I think we will see Everton come stronger in the second half of the season as it will take some time for all the new faces at the club to gel.

Realistically both clubs have got to be aiming at European football again next season. Anything less will be failure. More so of course for liverpool.

{Ed025's Note - it would be nice if we could get back to the 80,s superred when we were the best 2 teams in the land, with liverpool 2nd of course..

08 Sep 2017 19:47:54
I'm the opposite, I sometimes feel I'm over critical of our players, not other teams.

I reckon it's because I'm an old git - 46. Grew up watching our sides in the 80's, I find it hard to see the likes of United over take us in league titles.

On a brighter note, I found one of my first LFC scarfs in the loft! red and white checks one side, yellow and red the other.1982.Delighted!

I had the yellow away kit too 😎.

08 Sep 2017 20:47:47
Cool nick! Lol ed25!

08 Sep 2017 20:49:03
In all honesty I don't think beating city will convince people we're title contenders as beating the top sides is not our issue. When we stop struggling against the also rans then and only then will we be considered contenders. That said I'm really looking forward to the season ahead. YNWA.

08 Sep 2017 14:24:28
Ed001, if or when you're about, what are your thoughts on Joe Gomez making an Dier-style move forward into midfield?

He played their for the u21's in their first game this international break just gone and by all accounts he was decent there. He certainly has the legs to get about, the ability on the ball, and would be astute covering our marauding wing backs.

Just a hypothetical question really. Would it suit him, and is it something you could ever see Klopp trying? (bearing in mind Klopp doesn't play with a defensive midfielder very often)

Be interested to hear from SquareTomato on this as well.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I have no doubt he could do the role, he is good on the ball, intelligent in his play and has the work ethic required, but I would prefer to see him play in defence. Putting aside the fact we don't play with a player like that in midfield, I just think he is a natural defender and should be playing there. I really can't see Klopp ever using it, if he did then it would be because we are struggling badly and need to change something.}

08 Sep 2017 14:44:07
That's why I think we need to sign up Can again - we don't have a natural alternative to Hendo there. until Keita joins but even then I'd rather he plays box to box as he's so good at carrying the ball forward.

08 Sep 2017 14:57:02
SGRed, in pre season Klopp used Gini there. So when Can and Coutinho leave, i expect Gini to cover Henderson in the deeper role with Keita, Lallana, Chamberlain and possibly Woodburn fighting for the two advanced midfield positions. I say possibly Woodburn because if he isn't ready by the time Coutinho leaves, i think we'll go in for Meyer or possibly return for Lemar.

I'll be gutted to lose Can though. I think he'll become world class at Juventus.

Thanks for the reply Ed001. Appreciate your thoughts!

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate. You are right about Gini, he used him a couple of times there at the end of last season, while Hendo was out injured, as well.}

08 Sep 2017 15:29:45
We might buy a player if Can leaves. Lemar might come in for Coutinho. Keita is an addition like AOX.

08 Sep 2017 16:24:45
It is obvious for all to see that Klopp rates Keita immensely, therefore expect him, Mane and Firmino to be the first three names of the sheet for next season. Keita, first name in midfield for next season.

08 Sep 2017 16:03:58
To be fair to Gini Ed, he just gets on with it no matter where he is played. He actually looked solid in the holding role every time i saw him there. I'd have no concerns over him and Henderson fighting for the position. In my mind, our midfield is sorted for at least 5 years when Keita joins. Lallana and Ox will supplement what is a very good selection of players. What with Woodburn, Chirivella and Ejaria all coming through maybe at least 1 of them will also become a first team player too over the next 3 years. Maybe even Arnolds future is in midfield!

I've no concerns there anyway; with or without Can or Coutinho. My bug bear is Grujic. I don't see a future for him at the club, but i really want him to succeed here. I just feel that if Can can't catch a break, Grujic has no chance either. I think all 3 will go next summer. I know you also see Couts and Can going Ed001, but what about Grujic? Has he got an LFC future in your opinion?

{Ed001's Note - I think Grujic has this season to decide that, but the one I would worry about is Ejaria. I do not see anything in him to suggest he will make it with us.}

08 Sep 2017 19:05:31
Thanks mate. And i agree with Ejaria. He is a lesser player than Brannagan even in my opinion, but Klopp really seems to like him. Brannagan is another still at the club though so in theory he still has a very slim chance of fighting his way back into Klopps plans!

Thanks for your insight on these subjects though mate! Great job as always. Except when we disagree! Then, bad job 😉.

{Ed001's Note - thanks MKS, I think....}

08 Sep 2017 13:19:45
No Coutinho tommorow, correct decision imo.

08 Sep 2017 13:54:40
Never in doubt.

You have to be training at full tilt to get selected by Klopp.

08 Sep 2017 14:01:18
I understand him missing the game but why lie and say he's injured a day after posting pictures of him kissing Moreno at Melwood and a week after he scored for Brazil 😂

Just be honest. Say he has been dropped for not having has head in the right place. The fans know that anyway. His head is on a slow moving flight back from Barcelona!

08 Sep 2017 15:13:39
I wonder if klopp is holding coutinho back for the home game against Seville on wed to see how the crowd reacts to him taking he's not a 100% fit to play tomorrow . only a thought.

08 Sep 2017 15:35:41
I think Coutinho from now on will play away matches only to save him from boo boys.

08 Sep 2017 16:05:11
Did he say he's injured? I thought it was because yesterday was the first training session he attended in a few weeks.

08 Sep 2017 18:56:04
I haven't seen Klopp suggest he's injured,?

08 Sep 2017 06:54:26
I'd love us to beat City tomorrow without Couthino playing a significant role. A last fifteen min appearance from him when we are 4-0 up 😎All joking aside, It would really set down a marker and show other teams we mean business.

I'm not saying we will beat them, I think this is going to be a really tough game and we will need to be at our very best especially at the back. They will be right up for this but so will we

Come on red men!

Believable10 Unbelievable2

08 Sep 2017 07:56:38
Whilst a 4-0 scoreline would be delicious, its preposterous to think our fragile defense will last the distance with City's forwards. Will be a very open game and Im going with a 3-2 victory for LFC.
And get over your hate for Coutinho. I despise what he did too but he makes us a better team and we will need him more often than not coz our average defense will require our attacking players to be at their best on a consistent basis, and Coutinho will be a very valuable asset for doing that.

08 Sep 2017 08:25:10
Hope to see Solanke breakthrough and gives us something different upfront.

Buzzer.

You need to read through my post again mate.

Did you not read " joking aside " when it comes to the score line?

Where in my post have I stated any hatred for Couthino? The clue is in the last sentence of the first paragraph.

IB i think you've jumped the gun a bit mate. Nicky was making the point that it would be great if we could beat City comfortably without Coutinho playing a major role, as it would send out shockwaves if we beat a title favourite without one of our best players.

Nowhere has he said or even implied he doesn't want Coutinho to feature. No need to go looking for fights on here mate. Just post your opinions and the fights will come to you 😂.

08 Sep 2017 09:09:45
Chill out, IB. You're jumping the shark here, mate.

08 Sep 2017 09:12:20
That's exactly my point - Cheers MK.

08 Sep 2017 09:59:36
Haha didn't read the just joking part Nicky. My apologies.

08 Sep 2017 10:18:38
Hey Buzzer, It's cool and no need to apologise mate.

I was just a bit surprised as my crtitisim of our defence is very well documented on here - 😜.

So the window has just about closed and people are already clamouring for Oblak and Carrasco. Boy it didn't take long for the fans to get tired of Mane and Salah, especially Salah who has barely been here for a couple of months. Which winger would you want benched to fulfill the Carrasco fantasies? Mane or Salah?
And Oblak? At least give Karius and Ward a chance to show what they can do before asking FSG to throw 100 million euros at a GK.
I can understand people getting worried about the centre back situation but GK and wide players are the last positions we need to strengthen without giving some promising players already at the club a chance.

I think we will loose 6-2 let's hope I am wrong.

08 Sep 2017 14:21:17
Yeah we don't need Carrasco but I'm pretty sure that even if we give Karius and Ward chances they won't be better than Oblak.

see Wenger is saying the OX may have ben tapped up come on Mr Wenger stop trying to deflect the attention off yourself you also said today its the medias fault the fans are turning against you-- you sure it's got nothing to do with your managment skills at the moment or you took a good hiding off the mighty reds.

Thats our fault for applauding the lad when he came off. .

They're not used of such strange behaviour at Arsenal anymore .

Anyway he can't talk, what about them knowing to offer £1 more than Suarezs' buy out clause.

It's sad because he seems to have been left behind,

But his earlier teams played the best football I have seen in the Prem.

Bergcamp was a class apart,

08 Sep 2017 03:36:44
The thing is, he probably was tapped up by Klopp. Hope it comes to nothing and we learn to behave in a better manner from now on, the last thing we need is a transfer ban that stops Keita joining next summer.

08 Sep 2017 05:34:46
Wenger should be glad if someone tapped him up, otherwise he will be out the door in the summer alongside Sanchez and Ozil going out on frees as they sure as hell don't want to sign to extend their stay!

08 Sep 2017 06:19:38
Not sure why Wenger's complaining. He got a damn good fee for OX or he would have left on a free next summer along with Sanchez and Ozil. Plus he didn't even know what OX's best position is for 6 long seasons, so hardly makes a difference whether he stayed at Arsenal or not.

08 Sep 2017 09:15:01
5 GOLD, how do you know Klopp tapped him up? Pls, stop spreading crap that has no basis in fact.

As for Wenger and Ox, I propose that people read the comments Ox made about why he jumped ship at Arsenal to join LFC. He simply mentioned many of Klopp's qualities as a person and a manager, were the catalyst for joining us. What was interesting was that said qualities are the very ones that Arsene is severely lacking in. Sometimes, it is not what is said that is important. It is what in this case, Ox did not say that was damning as far as Arsene Wenger is concerned.

08 Sep 2017 10:17:38
I'm not being funny but, if you where to go by the clubs history in transfer dealings, i wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of unethical wheeling and dealing over AOC move, unfortunatly it seems to have crept into the clubs DNA when chasing a player this last few years.

08 Sep 2017 11:02:15
Pi$$ poor excuse from Wenger if you ask me. He's deluded anyway, always has been. Never sees any fault of his own club, just others hence his now famous "I didn't see it" phrase.
Jose was right about him a few years ago (I hate to admit) that Wenger is a football Voyeur. He really should focus on his own mess. Arsenal are going through tough times, we've been there, Spurs have been there, as have all the others over the past few seasons. It's how you deal with it (your own problems) that counts, making silly excuses or looking into other houses won't get him far.

{Ed025's Note - im with you kev, he has been a brilliant manager for me but has sadly lost the plot in recent years, he is now trying to make excuses for his own failings which is sad but cant be tolerated im afraid..

08 Sep 2017 11:41:07
Outstayed his welcome I'd say, which is actually a bit sad for all concerned. He is slowly wrecking any legacy. I was one of those who used to say not to jump on his back and he'll fix it, but I think it's too late for him now. Can't see him finishing out the season unless there's a drastic upturn in form and behaviour from good ol Arseend :)

08 Sep 2017 23:18:46
The players don't want to go to Arsenal anymore.
Its notlong ago that their youngsters were that good they played in the cups.
