Hi Eds.

All has gone quiet on the Sahko situation.

Is there any news if him moving on?

Even as part exchange?

{Ed001's Note - nothing, with the injury he suffered at the end of the season, I doubt there will be much interest in him this summer unless he can prove himself fit in preseason.}

Hi Ed.
Thanks for the match report, a very good analysis of a typical LFC performance.

While I agree with you on Salah being a good exciting signing, Do you think he needs to improve a bit defensively?

I re watched the game and couldn't see one instance when he provided any cover in front of Gomes or tracked back

I know a holding midfielder would reduce the need, but until we can convince Can or Hendo that a holding midfielder should play laterally across the pitch cutting out these threats at the earliest opportunity before they become a goal threat.

{Ed001's Note - he defo tracked back a few times, but it is not what matters. He is there to threaten in behind, that is what prevents the opposing fullback getting forward, more than him tracking back. Chilwell does not want to sit back and defend, he wants to charge down the flanks at will, but he barely got out of his own half. For me Salah did well forcing him back and that is far more use to us, at least in games like yesterday, than him dropping deep into his own half to help out.}

1.) 24 Sep 2017 12:32:12
Joe is definitely coming along nicely Ed. You can see small improvements everytime he play's.

{Ed001's Note - I really like Gomez to be honest. I think we have a diamond there, just needs some polishing up.}

2.) 24 Sep 2017 12:39:40
I believe he needs to improve on this too. He seems to have the same defensive mentality as when Henderson joined the club. He sort of makes himself big and pretends to be defending. He's very easy to go past for such a quick player. I think Chilwell got past him every time he ran at him. It was something they used in the second half when they were getting back into it.
But as ed said these might even be his instructions. I think they're wrong though. Seeing as he's nearly always got a youngster behind him - Gomez or TAA, and in my opinion both not in their favoured position. The midfield behind him should also be covering across don't forget.

3.) 24 Sep 2017 13:18:53
Spot on regarding Gomez.

4.) 24 Sep 2017 13:35:42
Future Liverpool captain?

5.) 24 Sep 2017 13:39:20
I remember salah tracking back near enough to our own box. Of course ed is right, salah's attacking threat keeps opposition fbs pegged back.

I thought salah had another fantastic game.

6.) 24 Sep 2017 13:50:05
I like the impact salah has had since he arrived, i know we tryed to sign him a few years ago when he went to chelsea but cannot help thinking it was a blessing in disguise he signed for chelsea at that time. By that a mean he was young and didn't settle well, and don't think he would of had the same impact a few years ago. A could be wrong like but cannot help but think the time of signing he was perfect.
Hopfully he will carry on as he is and turn out to be a legend of the mighty reds.

7.) 24 Sep 2017 20:17:55
Timing is everything, Knuckles. I can guarantee you that we would not have gotten the Salah we have now had he come to us in 2014 as he was 21 and not yet the finished article. The Salah we have now, IS the finished article and will only get better which can only bode well for us. And to those who said he was not tracking back last night, I propose they watch the game again and focus on Salah the whole time and then come back so we can discuss.

8.) 24 Sep 2017 20:43:31
Thats what a ment bingo by getting him now as like u say we wouldn't of getting the same player back thrn mate.

19 Sep 2017 01:30:25
Hi Ed 25.

Rooney found out today that some of his community service will be helping in a care home,

He's delighted for some reason?

{Ed025's Note - like a kid in a sweet shop mate..

1.) 19 Sep 2017 11:40:38
LMAO lfc derby!

2.) 19 Sep 2017 07:45:26
Nice one!

"Wherever you go, whatever you do, I will be right here waiting for you. Wayne! "
Richard Marx never sounded so good in that care home I'd bet :)

3.) 19 Sep 2017 23:40:53
Who said crime doesn't pay?

15 Sep 2017 21:42:34
Jordan I've has had some impact since he came on,
Fair play to the lad,
He had a rough time of it last year,

1.) 15 Sep 2017 21:48:21
Who did you come on for? 😆.

2.) 15 Sep 2017 21:58:35
Does Jordan I've play for the same team as Navy Keith and Mohamed Salad?

3.) 15 Sep 2017 22:33:29
Sorry, the auto correct done me again,
I meant to say Ibe,
He got man of the match even though he only came on at 65min.

4.) 15 Sep 2017 23:22:35
Haha he actually played very well. Hope he kicks on for Bournemouth, not been easy for him since the move but played well tonight.
Come on the reds vs Burnley, we need to get back to winning ways quickly. 4-0 early salah goal.

5.) 16 Sep 2017 00:13:42
We should win easy enough,

The only worries are the counter attack and set pieces.

6.) 16 Sep 2017 09:29:40
Didn't win easy enough against them last season.

7.) 16 Sep 2017 10:21:51
True, but I think we are a better outfit this year, we have Salh this year who will, hopefully be better at getting in behind the bus,
So I'm sticking with a good win for us, bar ourobvious defensive frailties. YNWA.

8.) 16 Sep 2017 11:59:40
Lfcder, it still will be difficult as Burnley are a better side than they were last season as well. Their strengths play exactly to our weaknesses and that is the concern so I hope we get the win. if we can do that by scoring goals then, so be it. We need 3 points so I don't care how we get them. Just win, baby.

9.) 16 Sep 2017 17:13:05
Bingo Red and McGoveb,

I stand corrected.

Defensive issues again,

TTA out jumped for goal then Klaven and Matip are like Laurel and Hardy in the middle.

Too many shots from outside the box.

Can't wait for Klopp to explain this one.

14 Sep 2017 19:01:45
Hi Ed 2

Can you please keep Ed 25 away fom all sharp items and toxic substances,

Its touch and go but we can't be sure how He'll react to a severe dose .

1.) 14 Sep 2017 20:59:32
Hi Lfcder, Never kick a man when he's down ( but not out!, ED25 will come back all guns blazing you can be CERTAIN of that )

2.) 14 Sep 2017 21:33:43
specially liverpool fans should not mess with anyone. our life is the biggest rollercoaster ride and our team has shown little to no progress in the last few years so let's leave fans of other teams alone. i have learned that lesson long time back.

{Ed025's Note - its fine you know crazy horse, just a bit of banter as i see it mate and i will have my day in the future..looking at tonight it could be a long time though..

3.) 14 Sep 2017 21:51:28
Of course We've improved in the last 3 years?
Another window or 2 and we will be sorted,

Ed 25 knows it's all in good faith,

following a club is akin to being a father,

You want so much for them to do well, but for one reason or another they forget all you've told them all week and embarras you.

{Ed025's Note - my two lads are both mad liverpool fans der, so i certainly know what you mean mate..

4.) 14 Sep 2017 23:56:46
Mine are as well Ed, (I think)

Although every signing Everton made were good quality and made sense,
I think there was too much all at once,

If they were staggered over 3 windows the newcomers could be assimilated easier into the group easier.

Where as now the whole squad has to go back to square 1.

5.) 15 Sep 2017 09:58:05
Keep your head up, Ed25. We love you.

Crazy Horse, what are you talking about that LFC has made no progress? Is making the CL after 3 seasons not progress for you? Is us being in a stronger position overall on and off the pitch compared to the dross BR left us not progress enough for you? Come on, man stop posting falsehoods. We are clearly not the finished article yet and a lot of wok still needs to be done BUT to say we have not progresses since at least 2014 is patently false.

I know Robbie hit the post with the penalty, but in match changing situations like that, it would have been great to have Milner on the pitch to step up,

Just a thought Ed.
Do you think Milner could play the holding midfield role?
He seems to have dicipline to avoid being pulled forward on attacks, and reads the game well,

{Ed001's Note - no, not for me.}

Who would be your choice to replace him with?

Would Ancelotti go to Everton?
Moyes? Big Sam? Gary and Phil,
Dr Boer? Brodgers

Too many signings to the spine of a team all at one window is disastrous for any club,

It's like making wholesale changes for a cup match, it never works.

Stick with Koeman, he'll get it right.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think he will get the chance to be honest der, if there was even a hint that we were on the right path i would agree, but he does not seem to know what he is doing and that is a major problem mate..

BE stupid to sack him now,

He needs time, In the long run, the best thing that could happen is to get knocked out of EL,

More time on training ground and be a different team after Xmas,

The Seville score is more of a shock to me,
Unbelievable Jeff!

I'm delighted for Ox, getting your first goal will ease the pressure a bit,

If you get a chance watch Kietas performance for Leipzig, He looks absolutely top top class,

A Great night in many ways,

Just goes to prove that even at that level good competition for places is better than a kick in the arse.

Biggest game of the season so far tomorrow night,

Come on the reds!

You mentioned Twentyman Ed, another largely unsung hero for Liverpool,
He'd be a great shout for an article, to show the greats he scouted for LFC.

You must have a long list to get through now Ed?

{Ed001's Note - that is a great shout. Personally I think he deserves as much acclaim for our sustained period of success as anyone. A truly great scout.

The list was past 50 last time I counted, so should keep me going a while.}
