Don't even know what to say about that to be honest.

01 Nov 2026 18:27:43
Quality of refereeing is pitiful another game changed by poor refereeing.

Madley is probably one of the worst.

We couldn't hit the target but that doesn't excuse the referee and VAR missing at least one clear as day penalty.

Turned the sport into a clown show.

01 Nov 2026 18:31:12
They are all completely terrible Sailor. There's not one good one.

Agree4

01 Nov 2026 18:33:07
Other than the missed penalty I thought the ref did well, let the tackles go, let the game flow.

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 18:33:57
Can't blame the ref for £375m not having a shot on target.

Agree7

{Ed025's Note - exactly WM..

01 Nov 2026 18:35:44
Surprising more wasn't made of the slight pull back on Isak and even by Isak himself. To me that's a penalty! It only needed a slight pull for Isak not to get his head on the ball and if it's a penalty then it's also a red card, denying a goal scoring opportunity but again why doesn't Isak make more of an appeal 🤷‍♂️.

Agree2

{Ed025's Note - all the refs seem to pick on Liverpool...Hmmmm

01 Nov 2026 19:19:34
I haven't had the benefit of replays, but based on what I've seen I'm not blaming the ref and I'm certainly not screaming corruption.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 19:52:30
Clearly the penalty incident looked different with bitter goggles on then.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 19:06:31
Ed, nowhere in TIR post did I read him even implying that the refs were exclusively picking on Liverpool. He was making a factual statement about an awful decision by the ref and VAR. It happens in every match and it is inexcusable especially with VAR. That's the point.

Agree0

{Ed025's Note - all teams get bad decisions at times Stone its just the way it is im afraid mate, and all players have a tug of a shirt now and again its become part of the modern game sadly, i think we would get 10 penalties each every game if these were called out every time, maybe if they did call every one out it would stop but i suppose it goes on the severity of the pull and that makes it subjective...but i think we have to stop this "woe is me" culture as well..

01 Nov 2026 19:14:11
Nobody said the referee picks on Liverpool ed025? He missed an early yellow for nyoni? The referees are poor and again potentially changed the outcome of another game. That's just fact as Rafa would say.
But witty comment I guess.

Agree0

{Ed025's Note - it is what it is Jerry, every teams get bad ones mate but we just have to move on my friend..

01 Nov 2026 15:17:45
Nyoni and Macca in the middle. People have been calling for it on here, let's see how it goes!

01 Nov 2026 15:58:13
It would be fine if wirtz was not playing 3 slight mids is a disaster. Arsenal will overpower lfc midfield today and that will cost them

People need to realise it's like 424 u get zero tackles ans defensive graft from the number 10 btw i'm not blaming him in merely stating the manager needs to see how much of a big hole we have in midfield when we have Macca outnumbered.

Agree2

01 Nov 2026 16:20:37
While I'm delighted for Nyoni I partially agree with Postklopp, I'd be worried about getting bullied in the middle or the kid making a rookie error, but he has shown to be a betterchoice than Grav. I'm absolutely rooting for him, he's worked hard and fully deserves this, but I'd be lying if I said this mid 3 fills me with confidence.

Very much looking forward to the game though, 7 wins from our last 8 and an in form Isak. Collectively, we've massively improved on last season already, and there's still room for more.

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 16:24:10
Nyoni is good enough. He just needs to be switched on and head smart.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 17:30:00
Well we can safely say he has not been bullied in the midfield.

Agree3

01 Nov 2026 17:34:17
Nyoni has been fantastic lad's.

Agree4

{Ed025's Note - decent i would say Barry..

01 Nov 2026 18:28:18
Nyoni played a blinder. We dropped off when Dom came on to replace him. He is good enough.

Agree3

01 Nov 2026 18:36:25
We were too slow to progress the ball or went long when Szob came in. Treys strength is his ability to play progressive passes early, from relatively deep positions he helps get us up the pitch quickly. Taking him off was a mistake, also couldn't understand bringing Tzimi on.

We lost shape and quality second half with the subs. That's where our squad quality just isn't quite there. Fine margins but not quite good enough.

Agree0

{Ed025's Note - revised player values
Wirtz £2m
Isak £1m
Barcola £500,000..

01 Nov 2026 18:52:43
Nope not good enough. Kerkez is a liability and the midfield is non existent.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 20:13:13
25- do you really think we'd get that much? If so we should cash in now .

Agree0

{Ed025's Note - i have been bitterly disappointed with the 3 of them JB, not just this game mate but since they came..

01 Nov 2026 10:23:58
What's the predictions for today?

01 Nov 2026 12:24:06
0-0, arteta is always too afraid to beat us.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 15:29:29
My money is on the ref deciding it.

Agree10

01 Nov 2026 15:58:30
3-1 Arsenal.

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - no chance...2-0 to Liverpool..

01 Nov 2026 15:58:36
1-1.

Agree0

{Ed666's Note - 3-1 or 3-0 Liverpool.

01 Nov 2026 16:07:05
2-1 Liverpool.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 16:16:14
As long as we don't get beat and a good performance and I'll be happy 👍. Bench still not the best! A few players back from injury please 🙏.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 18:36:33
You called it! Referee decided it, again.

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 10:19:27
It is a huge game today. No one really thought we would be near the title this season and the favorites are still Arsenal as there is such a big question mark over City.

But a win today and we are right in the mix going in to a game against a poor Palace team next weekend. A loss however and it will be defeats at home to two of the 4 teams above us. The City loss was hard to take for a number of reasons, no least as the game was in the balance until a ridiculous red card. But non the less it was a loss.

I feel this will be a score draw and as you were. But dreaming of a win as that would be lift off for us I think.

01 Nov 2026 12:37:29
About Time to put in a performance that turns us into believers again.

01 Nov 2026 13:29:56
Speak for yourself, Einstein. Win, lose or draw, many of us are believers already, and always will be.

Agree8

01 Nov 2026 14:30:34
Agree with ArAy, I am already a believer win or lose.

Agree2

01 Nov 2026 14:59:56
I can't see a title winning squad currently.

Agree3

01 Nov 2026 15:53:21
LFC8 - your probably right mate but looking at the bench and the return of Hugo & Bradley hopefully after Christmas at some point plus some strengthening in key areas come January that squad is starting to look pretty strong and a lot deeper.

Stay in touching distance into end of January early Feb and we could well go deep?
Squad is relatively young and full of potential.

Agree0

{Ed666's Note - i wouldn’t hold your breath about Bradley and Hugo dosing much this season. They’ve both had horrid injuries and I’d be surprised if those injuries haven’t taken left their mark. For example I think Hugo will have lost some pace.

01 Nov 2026 12:25:45
Hi eds1 hope your well mate.
At this stage of the season who would you prefer as our manager Iraola or Alonso and why.
Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - Iraola was always my choice, I said him a long time ago. I think he is the best possible option we could get

01 Nov 2026 12:49:03
I back you up on that one Tris you always wanted Iraola in. Just like you always wanted Bill and Ben out.

Agree1

{Ed001's Note - yeah I liked Iraola a lot, I amglad he is our manager.

01 Nov 2026 13:38:34
Iraola might just be the best manager in the league. Yes, I said it!

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 14:15:16
I wanted Alonso. Part of that was driven by someone who understood the club and had experience of winning big things. I also felt he would be a counter balance to the power that Hughes and Edwards wielded. They are gone now.

I have been hugely impressed by how Iraola has embraced the club so far and am happy with the appointment. However, I am sure he has many more challenges to face ahead.

Right now, things feel good in a 17/18 kind of way!

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 14:49:32
I've always rated Iraola. I was even worried he might end up replacing Pep at Man City. Thank goodness we got him!

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 14:59:10
I am one hundred percent certain that if Andoni had gone to man United and Slot had stayed? we would be in man utd's position and they would be in our shoes! with loads more to come.

I wonder why no one has any interest in Slot as their manager, even the Dutch National team ignored him for Xavi Hernandez and that's his own fellow countrymen, after all he is a PL winner as all the Slot lovers would often say even to the end, then why do man United not go for him now then all you still Slot lovers?

Ooops I forgot he has got a football job? he's a technical observer for UEFA, that means he's showing all the aspiring new coaches how to concede the most goals in a PL season of any LFC manager in PL history, and how to be a team that was outrun in 29 PL games in a season another LFC PL record? and pay ye council tax to greater manchester, that's another great incentive for the man United job? he's a shoe in?

YNWA Andoni

YNWA (You'll Never Work Again? for you know who!)

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 11:54:50
Ed1 I know this ain't the Man United page, but what is going on there? Carrick clearly out of his depth, INEOS also? Players downing tools or poor fitness and tactics.

What a season it would be to see both Manchester City clubs relegated .

{Ed001's Note - penny pinching. inept leadership and poor tactics. And I mean inept leadership at all levels. They could very easily go down, but there are a lot of poor sides this season so they will get away with it again.

01 Nov 2026 13:08:30
They've got a massive problem because the clear out is impossible. Their recruitment has been so bad that not only will they struggle to sell players, they'd struggle to give them away for free because nobody is going to pay their wages.

If they want to do a proper clear out they're going to have to pay players to leave. It's a simple point but Cunha and Mbuemo are arguably 2 of their best players, and they are quite literally mid table players by every possible metric. Sums it up.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 13:16:53
Great isn't it 🤣.

Agree5

01 Nov 2026 12:57:10
Inept leadership, without a doubt. Poor tactics, clearly. But penny punching? Is this the same Man United we both no doubt loathe, Ed? For years it seemed they couldn't stop splurging money, they just did it horrifically.
That said, I am frankly astonished that their defence is basically the same as it was going back to the Solksjaer era.

Agree2

{Ed001's Note - since the Rat bought in, they have been penny pinching. The problem is they are saving pennies while flushing fifties down the bog.

01 Nov 2026 14:25:34
It's incredible to watch their club repeatedly and predictably self-mutilate. The club is in a death spiral that only a new ownership has a chance of halting.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 14:35:56
Was in my local yesterday and was chatting with a few United fans - I was an absolute delight as you can imagine ha.

To my utter shock the vast majority where legit saying the best thing that could happen to them is getting relegated,

Same fans who told me at the start of the season they're back and will challenge this year ha ha.

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 14:43:33
CrazyHorse - it's like the Men In Black turn up every summer and click that pen thingy (think it was called a Neuralyzer).

Literally every summer they think the transfer window was the best and that they will challenge.

Presumably, the relegation shouts are because they think that is the only way the owners would sell and a slate would be wiped clean.

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 15:12:56
It's a strange on, I work for a company that sub conned to Grangemouth under ineos and the level of cuts made
To the every day worker was crazy. And he seems to have followed that manta with United cut the every day man out yet pay the players crazy money.

It's always been a joke among our company how he can be one of the richest men in Britain but be so inept at running a business. Although his company is £19 billion in debt so maybe he's not as savvy as we thought .

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 15:34:14
@FPF - Ironically it was a load of the old MIB mob I was chatting to ha.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 09:24:48
@Lyd-bor
We have a DM in the squad who is Captain of his country p, aging the position -Endo.
I can't think why he's not getting any minutes at all, baffling. I know he's come back from injury but every time he's been on the field he's never let us down.
I feel sorry for the fella.

01 Nov 2026 09:33:25
Maybe because the manager picks the team and he prefers other players to play - I know that sounds crazy but it's just a hunch I have that might explain it.

Agree4

01 Nov 2026 10:09:42
Steady Crazy Horse.

Agree4

01 Nov 2026 10:10:55
Maybe because he simply isn't very good.

Agree7

01 Nov 2026 10:11:20
He was no spring chicken when we bought him. He did a great job for us and I loved him it's over now.

Agree5

01 Nov 2026 10:41:41
I'm sure Andoni would trust him if needed.

But the decision seems to be between playing Grav into form or giving a young gun his deserved minutes.

Unfortunately for Endo, I'm not sure his minutes are the priority unless we really need them.

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 10:44:15
You have to look at the fact that if Endo was getting minutes Nyoni wouldn't be. I think Endo and Chiesa will likely leave in Jan as the manager clearly prefers giving the youth players a chance to prove themselves.

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 10:56:36
Endo's contract expires in Jun 2027 so highly doubt anyone would sign him in Jan when they can possibly get him for free if they wait 6 more months. I think Chiesa may leave on loan.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 11:20:50
Probably because he's almost 34 years old and there are only so many old legs you want in the team. Anyway, Nyoni has been great, why hold him back.

Agree3

01 Nov 2026 12:15:14
Because he has the mobility of Stonehenge? 😂.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 12:19:56
Furious he doesn't play

Not for Liverpool, we should sell him

But that guy Racks up yellow cards for fun, he's unbelievable on an acca.

Agree1

01 Nov 2026 13:34:51
Dacred, we could always agree to an early co tract termination and release Endo in Jan.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 14:19:21
The 30 year old stop gap DM we bought 3 and a half years ago is not getting in the team? Fancy that eh.

The remainder of his contract is probably worth less than £2m by January. He is certainly not the reason we cannot sign a midfielder.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 14:21:03
But hardly any of that time you mentioned him having on the field has come in the last two years. Endo's time is up and has been for some time. He is not good enough to be at a club trying to win Premier Leagues. Great attitude but should go in January.

Agree0

01 Nov 2026 15:31:06
Agreed Lofty, which was what I meant. He could even go on loan for rest of season and leave in summer.
I think without a doubt we have seen the last of Elliot, Chiesa and Endo.
