Seeing a rumour online that Liverpool are showing interest in Jamie Leweling of Stuttgart, RW.
Roma have had a bid of 40 million rejected and that Liverpool, Inter and Everton all taking a look at him.
Source is Patric Berger?

I don't like this part of the window where you start to get linked with players you've never heard of before.

8

30 Aug 2026 12:20:18
He really is not good enough, and at 25, he has probably hit his ceiling.

Would much rather Pardo in this game of mediocre talent roulette.

2

30 Aug 2026 12:25:47
He looked absolutely woeful for Germany at the World Cup.

1

30 Aug 2026 12:32:43
Not many people knew anything about Diomande at the start of the window, which seems like years ago.

2

30 Aug 2026 12:36:03
Our bench looked really weak yesterday, and that's the worry, when you look at other teams' squad depth.

0

30 Aug 2026 12:36:44
Leweling? He should bring balance to the squad.

1

30 Aug 2026 11:05:27
Rumour has it Jamie Leweling is a possible target.

0

30 Aug 2026 12:27:12
Eugh.

Can imagine the cheesy headlines to come if that happens.

1

30 Aug 2026 12:35:49
LFC are masters of the dark arts in subterfuge. They bid for
the desired replacements of actual targets, and flex in various ways to
muddy the waters and show who
the top dog is.
Looking at profiles only,
Minteh looks
like a perfect fit, and I personally
can't see Sarr being a genuine target. People should wait until
Wednesday before whining. C U Next Tuesday M***'s.

Morning Gents

I've been told Liverpool have accepted an offer of around £80m for Cody Gakpo.

Cheers.

21

30 Aug 2026 12:06:12
Thanks, Robbo, as always. Hope you have some incomings new for us soon.

2

30 Aug 2026 12:07:58
Wow.. probably gonna blow 90% of it on Sarr now.

4

30 Aug 2026 12:09:37
Hope that means we have another winger secured...

1

30 Aug 2026 12:13:11
Thanks, Robbo, good business. Presumably we have someone lined up ready to go.

1

30 Aug 2026 12:13:15
Cheers, Robbo.

Would be really good to get some info on what we're doing with the right wing and defensive midfield positions. Any info would be appreciated.

30 Aug 2026 12:14:56
Wta***. :(

0

30 Aug 2026 12:19:15
This is not a dig at you, Robbo.
What is going on at our club! Why are we selling a player that scores 10 plus goals a season to a rival team and buying crap to replace? It's madness to me. In the short time under Iraola, Gakpo looks like a different player. I'll happily eat my words on Tuesday if we somehow sign a world class winger to replace Mo (not Barcola), but I just can't see anything but a Hughes disaster.

5

30 Aug 2026 12:33:50
Cheers, Robbo.

0

30 Aug 2026 12:34:15
Barcola first choice on the left, Rio back-up and thanks and best wishes, Cody.

0

30 Aug 2026 12:35:12
To be honest, the last couple of games, Gakpo has been one of our best players. Now we are going to strengthen an opponent.

1

30 Aug 2026 12:38:04
Replacing Gakpo with Minteh makes sense in every way. Minteh is a beast.

0

30 Aug 2026 12:39:55
I think most of us are forgetting what happened to Gakpo and his family over the summer?

Perhaps he and his partner want a change of scenery to try and move on and start fresh?

It may not just be football related.

1

30 Aug 2026 12:42:19
Nobody on here has the first clue, really. The club might know, but there are just too many voices putting forward too many names to know who the club really wants if they really are still actively looking at the moment.

0

30 Aug 2026 10:04:09
Rumours that Leweling from Stuttgart is an option.

Very quick and plays on the right, only really one season performing at a high level though.

4

30 Aug 2026 11:25:57
Digging in the dregs.

7

30 Aug 2026 11:33:08
Are you ever happy, Viktor 😂?

13

30 Aug 2026 11:33:47
We were linked in the winter, I think. Roma have had a loan with option to buy for £40m rejected. It does seem like we only want to spend £60m on that position as that's what we have offered for Minteh and a second bid for Sarr. He's 24, done well in the Bundesliga with 42 goal contributions in 121 games.

1

30 Aug 2026 11:34:30
It seems like the list went.

Diomande. Mbaye. Minteh. Sarr. Rio. Gakpo. Panic. 😂

I think Munoz looks decent on the right. I'd be happy playing him there til January. Get rid of Hughes and then the new guy can get someone in to replace Salah.

Meanwhile, we get a defensive midfielder and a right back in the last few days.

I think most fans could stomach that quite easily. We know we're not in a title race, and Europe doesn't really kick off until February properly, does it. (That league phase is a farce.)

Common sense says this is just a transitional season, new ownership will change everything anyway.

8

30 Aug 2026 11:42:23
Of course he is. But it was so long ago he can't remember.

0

30 Aug 2026 11:46:55
Brommers. Viktor has standards fitting to our club, very much unlike our owners.

4

30 Aug 2026 12:01:18
If Gakpo really wants to leave... Does anyone know why?
I always thought he was happy at Liverpool, especially after signing a more lucrative contract.

2

30 Aug 2026 12:02:08
God, you are a miserable man Viktor.

2

30 Aug 2026 12:08:39
When you say our owners, Match, do you mean those that spent over 400 million last summer and have built us half a ground and a new training complex?

6

30 Aug 2026 12:10:39
I would rather we returned to trying and develop players with talent than go for 29 year olds who are probably at their peak. I mean, ideally, I'd keep Gakpo, buy a Lewelling type player, then if we must move on Gakpo, do so after our 3 new wingers have settled in.

1

30 Aug 2026 12:23:09
Probably because 90pct of fans have wanted him out, calling him all sorts for the last year.

2

30 Aug 2026 12:23:42
Berating people on the internet over things you don't understand is fitting standards?

Why weren't the experts on here ever considered for the top jobs in football? These prem clubs can't get anything right, while all the oracles are being wasted slinging dirt on here.

What do we want?

Instant gratification!

When do we want it?

Now!

1

30 Aug 2026 12:24:32
Doesn't want to be a squad player and probably realises City have a better chance of winning trophies in the short term.

0

30 Aug 2026 12:24:52
Liver_la, I think it's to do with our relentless pursuit of Barcola. Gakpo has moments of brilliance, but they're too few and far between. He also isn't a conventional winger and a bit of a 1 trick pony. Saying that to sell him to City is scandalous and for just £80m in today's market too!

1

30 Aug 2026 12:25:01
Liver_la, it sounds like it's because he's not first choice anymore with Barcola coming in. He won't be first choice at City either though, so it's a bit weird.

30 Aug 2026 08:54:49
My agent pal in Budapest has told me the striker loan search is back on again. The club are still looking for a right winger and versatile forward more suited to Iraola (to cover Isak short-term). Midfielder and right back unlikely due to time left in the window.

Ratiu (Vallecano) was available to us (player and fee verbally agreed) but we never pulled the trigger - he's clearly waited long enough and decided to go to Fulham.

We are apparently back talking to Madrid about Endrick on loan. He comes with an entourage and the line the club got last time was the family didn't want to live in England and that was that, so I'm not sure what the strategy is here or why we're so desperate to develop a Madrid player.

I mentioned previously that Monaco wanted Sarr (Spurs) in if Camara were to leave. Sarr is now going to Juve so it may kill the Camara/Enzo transfer chain if they can't source a replacement. If there was more time left in the window I wouldn't have been surprised if City also tried to buy Mac from us instead of Enzo.

The fact we keep going back to these moves like a clingy ex, after being told no, just absolutely stinks of desperation and poor business practice. We have no shame. I am really frustrated and angry how we've become a laughing stock internationally with the way we're flip-flopping between clubs and targets. I'm sorry fellas but I am genuinely wound up at the information I'm being told.

30 Aug 2026 09:27:21
Speaking to some US contacts last week who have done business with FSG in the past. Apparently FSG are more than happy with the LFC investment, and the people who run the business for them in the UK.

Doesn't mean they won't sell out, but suggests they're not in a hurry to change anything about the way Hughes and others run the show even if he moves on.

2

30 Aug 2026 09:28:49
Monaco are close to a deal for Erik Lira instead of Sarr.

4

30 Aug 2026 09:55:33
I would rather 'develop a Madrid player' and have a better chance at challenging for major honours than throw 70 million at a Gakpo downgrade.

7

30 Aug 2026 11:21:03
I don't think you understand. Barcola is the Gakpo replacement. Why does nobody understand this? It is Salah we are trying to replace.

6

30 Aug 2026 11:38:56
Endrick is with Roc Nation, would think we'd stay clear of that lot after their shannigans with Diomande.

2

30 Aug 2026 11:42:38
It's a difficult concept for many, Inbeta. Some have understood it.

3

30 Aug 2026 11:40:29
Is your source Georgie Ezra?

1

30 Aug 2026 12:17:59
Liverpool had three months, possibly longer, to secure a Salah replacement. If the best the club can do is a 28-year-old for 70 million, then that's even worse. The fact that you don't recognise this speaks volumes of your (lack of) football knowledge, Inbeta.

1

30 Aug 2026 12:26:44
Agent pals and US contacts. What an in the know little group we have on here. Brilliant. 😂

0

30 Aug 2026 08:54:35
A rare post from me but this is my pure feeling and observation rather than any ITK info.

With Gakpo likely on the way out, I'd expect a serious late move for Matías Fernández-Pardo. Even if Liverpool try to negotiate Lille's £60m valuation right up to the deadline, he's worth the investment. It might feel like overkill on the left flank when other areas need attention, but his ability to cover both wide and central roles makes him essential for rotating with Isak and Barcola in such a high-intensity system.

9

30 Aug 2026 09:09:41
I haven't seen enough of him, to be honest. But I'd be worried not getting someone a little more proven to replace Gakpo (who I don't even want to sell in the first place).

Maybe Pardo and Minteh?

I really like the balance and fit Minteh brings.

I get why he is not everyone's cup of tea, but he would work well in this system and with this group of players.

8

30 Aug 2026 09:15:21
I think Barcola is the replacement for Gakpo. I.e., Barcola confirmed on Saturday morning, Gakpo's exit confirmed more or less on Saturday evening. Coincidence?

If we sign anyone else, it will be a right winger. My money is on the injured Minteh for way too much. But hey, it's not my money.

I personally find the decision not to improve the midfield and full back positions insane.

I know everyone is going on about a 6, but a 6 will not solve the issues in our defence, in particular, terrible full backs, and an ageing captain and goalkeeper. The club seem content to write this season off. Fair enough. It might take a few windows to sort out the Isak / Wirtz mess, and get some better suited LFC style players in.

7

30 Aug 2026 09:08:10
Close to signing for Newcastle. where did we hear that before

2

30 Aug 2026 09:36:39
I have a feeling we make a late move for Bowen.

3

30 Aug 2026 09:49:26
Newcastle looks like a better prospect right now.

1

30 Aug 2026 10:06:48
@Champs2020, originally I thought Bowen was too much money for a player his age, but if they are spending that much on Sarr, then Bowen would be much better value. Would be hard to get him out of West Ham though.

2

30 Aug 2026 10:12:18
Or we can allow the head coach to coach the fullbacks, Isak and Wirtz, the midfield, the ageing CB, and get them playing in a way that wins football matches.

If winning was only down to personnel and the transfer window, then anyone could do it.

Time for Iraola to step up.

7

30 Aug 2026 10:57:45
Newcastle look a better prospect than us? Really? I mean, come on, do we have to be so dour about our club?

5

30 Aug 2026 10:59:35
It's strange how Kerkez is looking so poor under Iraola, although it's early days. He should be able to improve him.

Not sure about Frimpong or Gravenberch, as both seem coach resistant. Wirtz I'd expect to improve, and Barcola will help both him and Kerkez.

1

30 Aug 2026 11:31:21
I do think that losing Robbo and Trent and replacing them with Kerkez and Frimpong has created most of our issues. They are so poor, it's unreal. 2 world class stars replaced with mediocre players and such important positions too.

5

30 Aug 2026 12:28:15
Should have made an early move for Bowen.

30 Aug 2026 08:16:45
My friend just messaged me. It seems there was a lot of discussion about Matias Fernandez-Pardo yesterday. Talks are apparently quite developed.

6

30 Aug 2026 08:34:53
Aw, football friends.

22

30 Aug 2026 08:55:39
Spooky... I was busy writing a post about that exact player.

3

30 Aug 2026 08:55:40
Although multifunctional in positions, it is another one who prefers to play from the left and shoots with his right, best foot.
With Gakpo, we would sell one, but with Rio and Barcola we have already two. We need a player with preferred position right wing who can shoot (preferably) with left and right...

1

30 Aug 2026 08:57:20
Friends. 👍👍

2

30 Aug 2026 09:21:25
Pardon.

0

30 Aug 2026 09:27:03
Yes, my friend is a contractor that often goes to both Anfield and Kirkby, so I am confident that any rumours they mention to me are at least coming from circles working in or around the club, even if they still turn out to be rubbish. Unlike most of the well-written AI-supported stories that turn up here as trusted...

5

30 Aug 2026 09:59:28
Well, Pinkypoo's post made me perky.
Persist with your posts, Pinkypoos.

My friend is fat. He said the only thing that is definite is he will be eating a large dinner later!

Don't say that, Pinkypoos. You will feel the disciples' wrath.

VG - thanks for your update.

Don't suppose we'll see a miracle and bring in Rayan, Camara and a RB before Tuesday?

6

30 Aug 2026 08:59:22
Yes.
Tuesday 31st August 2027.

3

30 Aug 2026 09:03:46
Someone else will come in after Barcola.

1

30 Aug 2026 09:22:51
Wouldn't it have been easier to negotiate with PSG for Mbaye...

3

30 Aug 2026 01:24:58
Ed025, surely Everton would not sell a player (Ndiaye) to LFC? Cheers mate
