Putting the rumours to one side for a second.
IF we sell Diaz to Barcelona or anywhere, how much SHOULD we get for him? Based on his career, playing time for us and the current market, what is the number we should expect.
The same for Nunez, what SHOULD we get.
Genuine and realistic opinions please as the income from these could be the foundation for our purchases and I haven't got a clue. It feels like a pick a number game but these are assists of a relatively young age that we are selling.

Defo 60 odd for Diaz,
and if rumours are to be believed and saudi really do want Darwin then I think we could make over 70m on him.

Depends who's buying. A Saudi premium definitely exists. Barcelona would absolutely try to lowball us for Diaz.

According to TransferMarkt Diaz is worth 85 million € and Nunez is worth 65 million €. So I would assume somewhere in that ball park.

Diaz has to be worth 60 or more probably 70mill at least, Nuñez probably 40.

Would be great to get 85 million euro for Diaz but I can't see it happening due to age and that he'll only have 2 years left on his contract come the summer, unless its to Saudi. Diaz is a joy to watch when on form and has that bit of flair that you want to see when watching football. I'd be gutted if he left as I think he's underrated even by our own fans due to his perceived lack of output in terms of G/ A's. I said around 50 mill £ but wouldn't be surprised if he went for 60-65 but that's the max I think. If we got more than that then hats off to us.
I'd be happy for 50 mill £ for Nunez as we've paid 70 mill ish so far according to reports so recouping 50 would be great as unfortunately I don't think he'll ever be as clinical as we need him to be. It's sad saying that because I like so many others have been willing for it to just click for him at some point.

Seriously, which serious football club do you think would pay £70m for Nunez? The best hope is he ends up in the Saudi League and they are soft enough to ask for more than £50m.

I think considering Barcelona’s financial issues, it’s only that they give us Yamal and Pau Cubrasi in exchange for Diaz to avoid paying a fee. I’m feeling generous.

@WDW, didn’t Bournemouth get 60m for solanki? Darwin has years in him, he is going to improve so 70m is not too far away imo.
Diaz, today’s market, got to be 80m currently, after the summer it will shrink, maybe he signs a new deal (believe he’s been offered one) .

@Kew, Nunez is 26 in June so not a youngster and he hasn’t improved at all in his 3 years with us. He had a run of about 6 games last season when he looked like he migh5 be starting to head in the right direction then he missed a couple of good chances an$ along with most of the first team squad just faded away for the last third of the season. I hope the Saudi’s come in with a daft offer which I’d take in an instant .

Well if there was one player in the world who would likely hate United as much if not more than our fan base, it’s him.
In his case their actions were justified but what a statement he (and negatively, us) would be making and imagine the impact he would want to make if he did join…
No, I don’t want him and think there is nothing in it but if he is or even isn’t what the tapes made him sound like, he will want to prove himself to United, the Prem, England and the wider football world.
Not enough of an upside for any top flight English team, especially those with global financial and business interests. Just for that reason O would be intrigued to know if he received ANY firm offers from Prem teams.

Thanks for the info and good that you are keeping the name to yourself. A rumour without a mystery is like a tale without intrigue; it fades as quickly as it spreads.
